Don't go on a busy night to Fonta's, as the service is just ok. You do not get refills filled as quickly or at all. The waiter/waitress does not come back to the table at all, so you better have everything you need the first time around. The pizza is very good. The pizza's are made very well with the crust not too hard, or over cooked. The sauce is not over spicy, or bland. The atmosphere has a lot to be updated. The booths are worn out, and springy. This is a great place to order a pizza out, not to visit.

Went to Fonta's for the 4th or 5th time within the last couple of month and the food was always good and the waitress very nice and helpful but today we were extremely offended by the manager and specially the owner, ordered the Gyro sandwich who comes with a choice of side between fries, spaghetti or something else included in the $7.95 price of the sandwich and as the menu reads you can "Add an onion ring or a Greek salad for $1.00" so I ordered the sandwich with the free side of spaghetti and the extra $1.00 side Greek salad, after all done get the bill and they charged me $7.95 for the sandwich plus $1.00 for the Greek salad and $3.50 for the spaghetti, get with the manager and he said, it's the price and that the menu is written wrong explained that I should not be penalized pay for something that it's their fault but the manager said it would cost too much to have new menu printed, explained that I should not have to pay for an extra $3.50 then the manager told me that the best he could do is wave $1.00, after explaining to the manager that I would pay the whole thing and he could keep the dollar but would not come back to their restaurant he finally said he would call the owner, after a few minutes the manager said that the owner did not care and the bill was the bill no discount!!!! WOW so you advertise at a certain price and give me a tab at the price YOU see fit because you are too cheap and lazy to have your menu corrected, told you that I will not come back but I'll make sure you loose more than $3.50. Greedy cheap ignorant.

Short version - Gordon Ramsey needs to get his hands on this place! Fonta's does have good pizza, but if you go, stick with that and stay away from the Greek side of the menu. I love spanikopita and ordered that. It was obviously frozen at LEAST once and re-heated til barely warm in the microwave. I know that because I got it less than 5 minutes after I ordered. The crust was soggy and strangely tough and the filling was only ok. Then they charged an extra dollar for a couple tablespoons of tzaziki sauce. I will NEVER get spanikopita there again, especially not for $8. I also ordered pizza rolls, 4 for $6, which is a good deal. These were much better, even though they took awhile to get out. They were topped with a ton of oregano and parmesan, which I brushed off, but the dough was good (slightly yeasty), gooey cheese and full of pepperoni. The sauce they come with...well...that was terrible. It took me forever to figure out what was wrong with it, other than being too sweet. Finally it hit me that it tastes just like the sauce in Chef Boyardee ravioli cans. There's NO reason for a pizza joint to have bad sauce, but it must be a combination of their tomato brand and having sat cooking too long. I would smuggle in my own, next time (or just order to go). The restaurant itself is one big room with a bunch of outdated seating and decor. It can get loud if it's a busy time. The wait staff is pleasant, if not very fast. I had to ask for drink refills repeatedly and about the timing of my food. I wasn't checked on after it was delivered, either. My waitress only had 5 tables with 2-3 people at them. Next time: Stay on the pizza side of the menu, get the cheesesticks, which are AMAZING, and order to-go.

The service was friendly and attentive. The pizza was quick, hot and had lots of toppings. A nice switch from chain pizzas. Kids had a great time and left happy as did the adults.

My husband and I just moved to the area and were looking for local pizza places when we found this one online. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and Greek salad. Both were wonderful. The pizza was heavy with toppings that tasted fresh and flavorful. the salad was your basic Greek salad with a good dressing but the portion size was quite large. We ended up splitting the salad and each had a piece of pizza for dinner and saved the rest for the following day. Leftovers were still delicious.

Have been going to Fontas for years and it has not changed. Love the American pizza and the Greek salad. I usually get a Gyro with spaghetti, which are tops. Can count on cold beer and prompt service every time as well. Fontas is a must if you are in Greeley!

We ate here twice in our 4 day stay to the area. Easily some of the best pizza I've ever had while on the road. The staff was very helpful and attentive and the prices were good!

I have become addicted to Fontas after living here a year. I have always preferred to make my own pizza because everyone always fell short. It has been literally a decade since I actually LIKED restaurant pizza. The ingredients are fresh and top of the line. I always have a positive service experience here. The specials every day are great values. Today I took advantage of the Thursday special - BOGO HALF OFF. All you hear at my table is "mmmmmmm". If you don't do anything else in Greeley, make a point of eating at Fontas at least once. I love the Greek selection here too.

if you're going to eat pizza in Greeley, why waste your time anywhere else? Get pizza made by a family business and avoid those chains that skimp on the pepperoni. See you there!

This is a family owned restaurant. It's nothing fancy as far as decor or atmosphere but the pizza is pretty good and we've always had good, friendly service.

Hard to beat the square cut pizza. Also a must to get their famous house salad. It's a toss up between Roma's and Fontas for the best pizza shop in town. The bear special is a great pizza and almost better the next day. Definitely order a large or even two pizzas to have leftovers for the next day.

Pulling into the packed parking lot for a Saturday night dinner, we thought we might have to wait to be seated. Not the case; plenty of tables to accommodate large diners.. we were seated in minutes. Our plain 16" cheese pizza was delicious. Plenty of toppings available; can also order specialty pizzas from the menu. Service was excellent; our drinks were filled promptly by our waitress. Another staff member came by and asked us if our pizza was to our liking. Men's restroom was clean and attended to. We be back to dine here again.. plenty of other dishes on the menu to try out!

Went for a later lunch today and had regular crust (thin) with basil pesto sauce, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple. It was not the best pizza I've had, but the pizza was good, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely go here again if we are in Greeley again looking for a place to eat.

Well, my first stop in Greeley, Colorado for food was Fonta's. My bf's family lives in Greeley & boasted that this pizza is fantastic: they were oh so right! Fonta's is a small cozy restaurant with an old time pizzeria feel. On this particular Thursday evening, the restaurant was packed with children celebrating a sports victory. They were extremely loud & running all over the restaurant, but even that didn't phase us, as we were with family & the food was so great. Fonta's menu was much more than just pizza: fried zucchini, spanakopitas, wings, burgers, sandwiches, & chicken fingers. The pizza menu was extensive with a variety of specialties. We had the spanakopitas, fried zucchini (amazing!!), the house specialty pizza: beef, ham, sausage, green peppers, onions, & black & green olives & another pizza with pepperoni, sausage, & Canadian bacon. The pizza crust is thin, but a full thin: NY style. & Fonta's doesn't skimp on the toppings: each piece was slathered with every ingredient. & the sauce was wonderful with large tomatoes & a great flavor. The beer selection was smaller than I am used to, but for a small restaurant, pretty good with bud products, & sunshine. Our server was wonderful: checked on is multiple times & made sure everything was great.

I followed the other reviews and just stuck with the pizza. Meat lovers and Passion, which is their version of a Hawaiian, were both very good. Just a little bit to salty but still I would gladly order again. I was very satisfied. Although $20 for a large is a little steep.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Greek Cuisine

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.

For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
