Consistency goes a long way for me, particularly in Greeley. This place rocks it every time. Best salmon ever.

Decent food, if not sensational. Fast, Friendly service. They take reservations, which is nice (it was Friday at 6:30 - they were otherwise packed). A little too crowded and noisy for me. I like a popular place, but man, was it loud and busy. But I knew they'd be busy on a Friday evening - so that's on me. The waitress did an excellent job, fast, friendly, professional, and thorough - got the specials explained, and got our food delivered correctly, hot, and in haste. We get here about twice a year, I'll go back.

Not impressed. The food was flavorless. My meal was a vegetable enchilada it had little to no vegetables, the sauce was creamy tomatillo. It was mainly sour cream :-( The appetizer queso was greasy and no flavor. My boyfriend had pork enchiladas- no spice he asked for jalapeños and they were mild. The salsa tasted like marinara. Will not be going back. The prices are not great food is not worth it. Wait staff was friendly... that's the only good thing I can say.

Great place! I love the menu at this place and love the wait staff. I've become a weekly regular.

Went here by myself last night after a terribly exhausting day. I woke up this morning still thinking about how great it was (is that weird). The white sangria is the most refreshing drink I think I've ever had. So amazing. And I got the pork medallions which were also unbelievably flavorful and masterfully created. I can't believe this little gem is hidden in Greeley, CO... but it is the bomb.

One of my wife and mine favorite places to go eat at. The location is a bit confusing if you haven't been there but you can see it easy from the street. The outside is always maintained but does not have enough parking on busy nights. The inside is alway clean and professional. Staff is not always great but they do good compared to a lot of places. Unlike most of management just standing around, they walk the floor and help out as well. Overall, we'll still go unless something really bad happens.

I've became a weekly regular for business luncheons. They have great service & the food is great. I love their grilled veggie salad when I am trying to be healthy! Their chipotle shrimp tacos are super tasty, but small portion. For dinner, the Sangria Swirls are the Bomb!! Plus, it's nice to sit on their patio.

After driving to Greeley from Denver and watching three 5th grader basketball games between 12 and 4:00, I was starving. Anxious to get away from the cheap UNC bar food and having drunk way too much coffee, I searched Yelp for a two dollar sign restaurant a little bit outside of the college area. I found Coyote Southwestern Grill. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. I got shrimp and lobster rolled in a delicious creme sauce, that came with a fabulous steak marinated in lime and spices. The steak was not chewy at all and the sauce was awesome. I also had some kind of avocado egg roll that was excellent. It's coming home with me. The dessert claims to be a coconut brownie but I taste neither coconut nor brownie. I would describe it as a caramel bundt cake with nut brittle a la mode. It's to die for. The waitress was very attentive, as was the manager. Everyone made sure I was happy, which is rare for solo dinners. I'm glad I drove 15 minutes out of my way! Hopefully I can find a coffee shop on the way home to Denver.

Paid $14 for an "Enchilada Plate", one enchilada rice and beans. Good food, Terrible portions...

I went there last night for the 1.99 margaritas and sangrias. Drinks were very good! But I was most impressed by the service, the waitress was awesome, and the manager stopped by and asked how everything was. It was nice to know that if we were unhappy with anything, the manager was very accessible. There was no complains, the food was delicious. Everyone should definitely try it. The Presidente Enchilada was to die for.

White sangria.....amazing! Must try if you like white wine and sangria! The salsa was super tasty and they were willing to bring a second round when we asked. Both our meals were great.. I had am enchilada with crab in it and my husband got the crane asada. Will be going back to try some of there other entrees. Most meals are served with beans and rice and the black beans had some great flavor. Must try if you want a contemporary spin on Mexican!

This is my go to place when I am in Greeley. They have creative and amazing options on their menu! My favorite is any of their dishes made with salmon... Sauces are great also!!

Not good. Maybe I should not have ordered a burger in a Mexican restaurant. I ordered it cooked medium, it arrived very well done and dry with the accompanying fries dead cold. I eat one bite of the burger and 2 or 3 fries, rather than asking if there was a problem, the waitress asked if I wanted a box. i hate that. If the server is too lazy, or detached, or so poorly trained to ask why you did not eat your over priced meal, that tells me the restaurant sucks.

Went on a Thursday night and had a 10 minute wait. Bar was open so we ordered drinks. Very strong margaritas which I like. Took awhile for the waiter to tend to us, bring us chips, drinks and take our order. But the staff was very friendly. Food was good too. I ordered the blue corn tacos with chicken. The dining area is kind of tight.

This place had good fresh food and is quite lively. The vegetable enchiladas were delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Good for vegetarians.

Just happened to be driving through Greeley and decided to stop in for dinner on our way home. What a great place! The atmosphere was very quiet and inviting and I was very impressed that we were seated by the manager. The food was amazing and the wait staff very friendly and attentive without hovering. The menu is quite large and so I asked the staff for suggestions. They were right on for both the food and drink. I have to say I will probably drive the 40 minutes to Greely once in a while just to get another Sangria Swirl.

We absolutely enjoy being Coyotes regulars. Good mix of grilled Southwestern fare (which is not what I would consider a Mexican restaurant). Steaks and burger options are tasty, pasta dishes (my fave is the chicken cilantro pasta) are outstanding. Salads, soups, wraps and appetizers make for a well rounded menu. Gluten free available. Kids eat free off the kids menu all day Sunday. Fave waiter is Kevin!

We came here the other night for dinner with friends. Although everyone raved about their margaritas, I'm not a tequila fan so I enjoyed the sangria. Delicious. (Could have used less ice and more booze, but that's my general complaint in life). Hubby had the chicken tacos which he loved, and I had the chicken blue corn enchiladas which were fabulous. Really good. Tried the extra hot green chile which was AMAZING. It was definitely hot but so full of flavor. Service was good. Not great, but good. No complaints. We'll be back.

Went on a Friday night, waited about 20 minutes to be seated. OK, let's just get the negatives out of the way. NOISY, not just a little either, and kids running and yelling. No, I don't hate kids, but do expect them to be seated. Food was ok, salmon spinach salad was tasty but presentation was not good. Pasta dish the same. I ordered a glass of white wine and server brought me a white Zin, which he thought was a white. Did I mention the NOISE? It was too noisy to visit so we left sooner than we might have. The entire restaurant sounded like we were in the bar. The whole experience was just ok.

GET THE MEDALLIONS!!! When the owner found out we were new in town, she came out sat at our table, fussed over our boys, and asked us to come back soon. She can count on it! Food was GREAT! Service was GREAT! Environment was GREAT! They also own the Palomino Grill. GO THERE NOW!!!

The season steak was cooked as asked and seasoned very well. I had a side order of grilled summer vegetables, where were good and hot. The service was good, they kept my ice tea filled very well. I didn't care too much for the sopapilla with vanilla icecream.

Relaxing and fun!! We stopped in for dinner--the service was friendly and efficient with a great selection of menu items, both mexican and southwestern. Although I was concerned the kitchen could pull things off with so many choices, the food was great! Try the cornmeal battered chile rellenos, a nice change to the traditional egg treatment. Decor a bit plain but overall a very good experience.

Good middle of the road Mexican, nice friendly staff, reasonable prices. My only criticism is that there should be more fresh made maragarita options with fresh limes etc. Most of their margaritas are pre-mixed in buckets and then combined with ice and tequila before serving.

The food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and efficient. The tasty pre-meal tortilla chips are warm, the nachos are outstanding (I often eat just that for my meal) and the blue corn enchiladas are the best you'll find in Greeley. One of the best places for dinner in Greeley.

I have come to associate Coyote's with delicious tacos and giant bug bites. Not the greatest combo in the world, but thats why its getting a 3 star review. I have visited Coyotes a couple times over the last few weeks. It has some good stuff going for it - its right across the street from where I live, has a nice big menu with a ton of options, fairly attentive staff and a decent looking restaurant. I have tried the mango fish tacos and was pleasantly surprised with the tangy citrus vinaigrette slaw and the fresh slices of mango on each taco. The fish was good with a light and crispy batter. I would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys a seafood taco. Rachel C has tried their burritos and she tells me they are very hit or miss. They are large enough to feed a troop of intelligent apes but the flavor isnt consistent. My one big gripe is that, when eating outside, our group was getting attacked by giant mosquitoes. Instead of offering to sit us somewhere else, the waitress decided to make fun of us. I would have expected, after our complaints and eventual self move to the interior, they would have credited our drinks . That didnt happen. I will certainly go back because i enjoyed the food and the menu is very interesting. Greeley is lacking good restaurants, especially when compared to its regional rival in Fort Collins, but with a few tweaks this could be as good as any Mexican style restaurant in Northern Colorado.

The menus were dirty which sets a yucky tone becore the food and drinks arrive. Service is good and food is ok for Greeley cuisine. Their sangria is second in town to Santeramos, but still worth ordering. The Chipotle Creme Tilapia is tasty ( much better than the chimichanga)but did I mention the dirty menus?

Like most places in Greeley, this doesn't have a "Wow" factor, but at the same time it's a place where folks can go and be happy with what they get. The menu is diverse enough to satisfy various tastes, the service is good, the prices are good, and the ambience is good. So, it's good. It's not great, but it is a safe bet in a city where that is a rarity.

I can't believe this place only gets 3.5 stars. This place is real good across the board. Everything is excellent and they usually do a real good job with Friday night specials and best margaritas around !

We went to Coyote's on a Friday evening. I thought it was going to be a Mexican dinner but I was surprised to see the variety on the menu. Steak, chicken, seafood and pasta served with different sides. Our waitress, Laci, recommended some of her favorite dishes and I took her advice and got the tortilla chicken...yummy. Hubby had the rib eye and he said it was very good. Then came the dessert, the coconut brownie was sooo good as was the margarita pie. Next time we come to Greeley we will definitely make an appearance at Coyote's. They have a friendly staff and a clean establishment.

I am still a big fan but I wish they had their menu on a web site. So when i want their good food to take home i could find It easily. It was a real pain to get them to emal a copy, it took 3 phone calls and 50 min.

I have eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in Greeley. i recently went here for dinner and really wasn't that impressed. i didn't try any of their drinks but the food was mehh.. alright.. but definitely not the best. I'd say go here if you into Very Americanized Mexican food.. pretty hightly priced for what you get as well.

I visited this wonderful place for the 4th time, ordered the enchiladas with shrimp, which I really enjoyed on a previous visit, and they were just as good, tasty, not too spicy, and fresh as expected. Also had the shrimp chowder, which was very good. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is very nice, although can be a little noisy at times.

This used to be my fav place. in the last 3 years its not at the bottom of my list. the food since then has become pretty bad. the chief covers up the food with allot of salt and not very much taste. however some redeaming qualities are the salsa which is still my fav. and the black beans which i have never tasted anything that good before in my life.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
