I think Cheba Hut is the best sandwich shop in Greeley, hands down. Great atmosphere, and an added plus they serve alcohol!

Great college sandwich shop. The White Widow on garlic bread is the best by far. Despite the stereotype for the theme, the staff is super friendly and attentive. A must try!

Great sandwich shop with fun college atmosphere and great enthusiastic service. I tried another of the supposed Greeley college hangouts the week before, some place called Roma or something, and that place had disappointed. This place is the real deal. There were lots of students coming in to order their favorite menu items. I ordered my sandwich on garlic bread and it was good bread, well buttered and seasoned, for the 8" sandwich each side of bread was about 8x4x1" and served open faced but not too messy when put together. The sides were custom and lots of different items are offered such as sprouts and peppers and parmesan/romano type cheeses. The restaurant has lots of rooms and a deck and includes a full bar. I sat at the bar and saw they have a wide variety of local beers which I wish I could have ordered but unfortunately I was traveling on business. The decor all has a 60's stoner theme and they also serve brownies and rice krispy treats and cater partially to a stoner crowd but you can't argue with the quality of the food, service, dining space, or lively atmosphere.

Average sub shop. stoned and slow staff, but decent sandwich. They also sell marshmallow-bound balls of cereal, if that's your culinary preference

Cheba Hut is one of the best sandwich places in Greeley and is nice because it's not part of a MASSIVE chain a la Jimmy John's. They have interesting sandwich combinations and a to-die-for herb bread you can have your sandwiches made on. The staff is usually helpful, friendly, and very laid-back. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe and it's fun to look at the plethora of stickers that cover the partition on the counter. I also really enjoy their desserts, particularly the peanut butter gooball. They make their mark even more by serving Kool-Aid. As for delivery, it could be faster. A 30-35 minute wait is a bit excessive for a sandwich, especially in Greeley and especially when Jimmy John's offers faster delivery for a cheaper price. (Cheba has a $10 delivery minimum fee). However, that said, the sandwiches are much better quality and have a bigger variety so if you want that experience the wait is worth it.

Their sandwiches are good, not crazy amazing but I'd go back. If you are in a hurry and order online for delivery don't expect fast delivery. Granted they don't advertise to have fast delivery but an hour when I'm just down the street seems excessive. I just know next time to pick it up. Note to the delivery drivers and or preppers.... If someone orders a drink a straw would be nice. Also your sandwiches are crazy messy so how about a napkin too.

Alan B.
Good sandwich and friendly service with a stoner vibe. The place was full of flies which indicates not very sanitary.

I always support the Independents when possible, so I found myself at the C.H. today. It's a nice place and they have done well with the setup and the reefer motif' .....The bread is good.....I had the KAB (hot Roast Beef)....Overall, it was OK. The Meat volume was OK, and the rest of the sandwich was ok......a little stingy on the one slice of tomato- cut in half. Drink and chips were standard fare. The search continues....

Sandwiches are awesome. The place isn't much to look at but it is clean, the folks behind the counter are very friendly and the food was great

I had a white widow 4" sandwich and it was really good! The atmosphere was very casual and one cannot help but notice the pakalolo references all over the place, haha. It definitely has character! I'm looking forward to trying another sandwich next time!

Would have been better and almost 4 stars but we were surrounded by flies everywhere. It ruined the experience. I did think it was better than Subway and the sandwiches are pretty creative. A fun place to go and good for the college student.

Cheba Hut is an interesting place. It's nice to have an independent store in the area. Their toasted subs are great. It's great having a smaller choice for times when your not that hungry.

The food is good. This place would be great if they could get your order correct and actually provide delivery service like they say they do. We have NEVER called to order food for delivery that we could actually get delivered- either they weren't delivering when we called or they say there is a 2 hour wait which is ridiculous. Literally every time we order food here, we get home to find out our food was not made as ordered which is really frustrating. Tonight they messed up our son's sandwich- gave him a totally different sandwich from what was ordered. He's a vegetarian and it was loaded with meat. So we had to make a SECOND trip there to get him what he wanted. NOT HAPPY! I think this is the last time we will eat here - just too annoying that when you stand there and tell them EXACTLY what you want while they are making the sandwich that they still cannot get it right.

Best toasted subs I've ever had! My favorites are the Thai Stick and the Bomb. And any sandwich is so much better on their garlic bread. They don't mind at all if you're picky with your sandwich, they allow you to change the cheese and completely customize the toppings. The staff is really friendly and they even have a Kool Aid machine in the restaurant! I'd also recommend getting a Goo Ball for dessert. Their menu is nearly endless, I'd recommend to anyone. Cannot go a single week without getting Cheba!

Delicious! I had the Pacific Blue on Garlic Bread with a Goo Ball. Staff was very friendly, place had a great vibe. I will be back to try more. If you're bothered by the 'vibe' - pssssh you're missing out on the best subs in the area.

Bernadette R.
The best sub shop I've ever been too! Whether or not you're into the Bohemian lifestyle, you'll thoroughly enjoy these super fresh, flavorful and original subs. The sweets are a really good munchie choice as well. Decent bar with a good variety of micro brews on tap too. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Plus, there's Kool Aid! Honestly though this place is comfortable and clean. I don't smoke either and I'm writing this review after my tenth visit so I believe my judgement is clear.

This place overall is GREAT. The food is very good and rich. The bread is also pretty good. I like the different snacks they also make in house. The only three cons is the service is slow, and there order system in nuts. The guy just wonders around until he finds the right table. They also only have small drinks. I hate that. Overall the place is fun and good. I will surely continue to go.

Cheba Hut has the best toasted subs in Greeley. The white widow is my addiction and the homemade ranch is to die for. I've tried one other sandwich a while ago and it was really good but there's something magical about the white widow. This place is a must-go when in Greeley!

Best. Sandwiches. Ever. And a very friendly staff. Hands down, without a doubt the best sandwiches I have ever been lucky enough to eat. I am trying to work my way down the menu and each sandwich is spectacular in it's own right. Do yourself a favor nad pick up a "Goo Ball" as a snack.

Cheba Hut makes world class sandwiches. I have been there maybe a dozen times in the last 2 months. I keep trying different sandwiches and they have all been terrific. They go for some unique combinations that really work well. Great staff, too. A must-stop lunch spot.

I am not from Colorado and ate here while visiting a friend. Only in Colorado would you find a place like this, seriously. We came in about ten minutes until close, but the staff was still super friendly and patient as we scanned the menu. "Would you like some, like, cheese or mushrooms in your soup? It's free, man." Why yes I would, thank you! The soup was very delicious, broccoli and cheese with melted cheddar and portobellos on top. The sandwiches were all tasty and I enjoy all the extras for no charge. I got the Humbolt, a vegetarian sandwich, and I did feel it could have been stuffed fuller. The bread was very toasty and I don't really enjoy super toasted bread too much (it scratches the roof of my mouth). Took a takeout menu home to show our friends who would surely not believe us. The music was a bit loud, but I would definitely eat here again when in Colorado.

I tried Cheba Hut for lunch a couple of days ago while visiting my former college town. The three-star rating can be broken down thusly: Counter guy: minus four stars, plus any tip. Customer service skills on par with the hobo who used to shit on my doorstep in SF. Whined at me for not having exact change, then basically threw my drink cup at me. Sandwich-making guy: plus two stars. Very nice and determined to give me the best possible sandwich. Cute, too! Actual sandwich: Five stars. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and even though I got the traditional Italian meats, the sammie was light and crispy instead of being a gut bomb. Yum! So. When I return, I'm not coming in if I see the same doorstep-shitter behind the counter. But if he's gone, I will order all the sandwiches I possibly can. And dessert. And a tip.

Finding myself in Greeley, Co this last spring, I came across CheBa Hut. Up late with free wifi in my motel I searched for some late eats. This being what it was, I thought for sure it still be open. But no, the closed at normal hours. Weird. The site got me curious enough to still venture to this place the next day before leaving town. I am so glad I did. The staff was supper helpful and friendly. We got three small ones to mainly sample what we thought we like. We also got the hemp brownies. Nice treat. In taking a picture of the hut van a guy came out to honk the horn. Says it's tradition. Fun place to snack on a good sub.

I used to like Subways quite a bit. There was a chain in California called Togo's that was really, really good. Cheba Hut stands somewhere between those two. I like the variety of things you can put on your sandwich, and I especially like some of the specific ingredients. I have ordered sandwiches at Cheba Hut three or four times, my companions at least as many times, and we all agree that Cheba Hut is one of the best "big sandwich places" if not the very best, in all of Greeley.

Cheba Hut is absolutely my favorite Sandwich place in Greeley. I'm always down to stop by for a 8in Durban Diesel on Garlic and a cup of koolaid and maybe a Lucky Charms Marshmallow bar for dessert. I LOVE IT!

I was skeptical at first because their blatant form of advertisement is burn out oriented. However I gave it a go and sat at their bar and I'm glad I did. The beers were awesome, the bartender was very sweet and friendly, and the sandwiches were delicious and quickly made.

Best sandwiches in Greeley. They've also just added a full bar which is actually pretty cool. The biggest benefit is the location, which is right across the street from UNC. They do deliver, but they've got a $10 minimum. I usually get a sandwich, drink, and a cereal treat (a rice krispie treat, but with frosted flakes, cinnamon toast crunch, or lucky charms). I recommend the La Canna with oregano, jalepenos, and parmesan.

If you don't mind food being named after marijuana like items and the hippie atmosphere, then you should check out this toasted sub shop. They have a great choice of subs, so many that I really want to go back and try some of the others on the menu. They also serve beer, which is always great with some subs. It's a better alternative than subway and quiznos. Not the best subs I've tasted, but they are unique enough to stand out.

It's Cheba Hut, no better or worse than any of the other Cheba Huts I've been to. Cheba Hut will set you back more than other sub shops will. A blunt sized Midwest's Best with chips and a drink will set you back about $12 as of mid 2013. A similar product from Subway might set you back $8-9. The quality is higher, but is it worth the price?
(4)

Best sandwiches in Greeley and great service! Everyone here is so nice and helpful. When I go here I know it's usually going to be slow because they are so popular, but I don't care! The sandwiches are just too gooooooood. Best options for ingredients and everything always seems to be really fresh. I dream about their wheat bread...
