Passing through Fort Collins and stumbled into this place. It's very small but very service orientated and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

This is quite a find in Fort Morgan. Their soups are delicious, & I love their gnocchi. The tiramisu is a bit eh, but that's a tricky dessert to make unless you're an aged Italian grandmother. My partner ordered a dirty martini & the waiter accidentally made it up chocolate vodka - but they replaced it immediately when she let them know what had happened. Their wine list is acceptable but not extensive. When I'm in town for work, I treat myself once a week at this restaurant & it's always the dining highlight of the trip.

It seems like it has potential but not on this night. Our food was long in coming and then the pizza was almost room temp by the time we got it. The pizza sauce tastes pretty close to canned tomato sauce, not great. The eggplant parm does not come with a side of pasta as is typical and the dipping oil for bread costs a $1. The cherry on top of this experience is the Spumoni was nearly frozen and icy. All in all could have been much better.

This place is a gem in our small community. I've been there numerous times with my family, have done takeout for 2 and for 20 and have even hosted parties there with large groups of friends. I'm very grateful that the food is always consistently great and the servers very attentive.

For Fort Morgan, this is as good as it gets. I'm italian so haven't tried their red sauce cause I'm way picky. But love their panini sandwhiches (which you can only get for lunch) and I get the eggplant one over and over again...a friend had one of their chicken panini's and thought it was the best he has ever had...

I have been here twice on business trips. First time was in 2013 and I remember really loving the pasta e fagioli soup the best! I can't remember my entree, but the soup really stood out! Second visit was in April 2014 and I was not as happy with my experience. It was the day after Mother's Day and I couldn't believe how busy it was. Who knew people celebrated Mom's Day the Monday after? I don't believe they were properly staffed. I had to wait too long for everything -- Missed half of my show "The Voice." The waitress was very nice, friendly and accommodating. But waiting was not fun! I ordered the tilapia which yup - as reported on another Yelper - had black olives from a can....which ruined the entire entree for me. It wasn't great. And for the price of the entree, it really wasn't great. I don't think I'll be back -- unless I stop in for bread, olive oil dip (amazing!) and the pasta e fagioli soup. Note to the Owner -- get some real olives. Come on! It would make a WORLD of difference.

You have NO idea how hard it was for me to bump them down from 5 stars to 4! But I had to based on the lack of Eggplant parmigiana, my absolute FAVORITE dish & one that I waited YEARS to come back & eat. Last week I asked if they would have it this week (by now you all know that when I'm nearby I eat here a few times, lol), they told me YES. Got my hopes all up ONLY to be dissapointed again when there was none. Sorry, but that's worth losing a star. On the upside & the reason I am still a solid fan is a bottle of wine that I loved so much, I took it back to my hotel. We are an item now ;) If you get to stop in for lunch or dinner I would highly recommend the Boscaiola & to drink the Moscato d'Asti, Marco Negri. You can have a glass if you can't commit to the bottle, lol.

Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere staffed with attentive waiters. Don't be fooled by the modest outward appearance, as this place is definitely worth stopping at.

Truly yummy! From the outside, it's nothing special to look at but inside it's beautifully decorated and clean. The parking lot can hold maybe 8 to 10 cars. Menu is large with many selections. The waitstaff is attentive but not overbearing and they don't rush you through your meal. I had the gnocchi last week which is to die for and then last night I had chicken in a marsala wine sauce. It too was good, but I think the gnocchi is my favorite so far. Everything is fresh and made to order. Great place, great ambiance, great wine list.

We stopped in Fort Morgan on our way from Chicago to Denver and were pessimistic about our prospects of finding a good restaurant in town. Fortunately some other person had listed this restaurant previously. We figured it would be worth a shot since everyone can find something they'll like at am Italian restaurant. The final result was wonderful luck. O' sole mio was excellent. The owner waited on us personally and made excellent recommendations. We started with the bruschetta which was flavorful and delicious. Then we shared the spinach salad, filled with quality ingredients. I had the gnocchi which was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Another member of our group had the farfalle which had some of the best cream sauce I've ever tried. The ravioli special and the sausage and mushroom pasta were also excellent. To finish, the owner talked us in to trying the tiramisu, perfectly light and fluffy to end the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone driving through or visiting Fort Morgan.

I love this place! But tonight there were canned sliced black olives instead of the yummy kalamatas they usually have. I hope this is temporary.

Wow what a treat in the middle of Fort Morgan. It's not often I find the creamy bowtie pasta and don't want to stop eating. With fresh bread and salad with dressing on the side. Perfect for lunch will go back every time I'm in Fort Morgan.

My wife and I finally went to this place to check it out. Very nice little Italian place. We both had soup, salad, and a pasta dish. She had the minestrone and I had the fagioli. Mine was more tomato based and I expected it to be beans cooked down to thicken instead of tomato broth but it was very good and the house made sausage was quite nice. My wife had spaghetti marinara which she greatly enjoyed and I had the penne Arrabiata. I was warned that it was quite hot which was fine with. It was spicy to my liking. We just had to go for dessert. I had chocolate gelato and she had lemoncello cake. We split them and shared and these two are great together. Very friendly staff was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

I stopped here on a Thursday night on my work route home. The place was quiet, too quiet, and I asked the owner/chef to make me something. He produced bruchetta, salad, penne pasta with sausage, eggplant and dried cheeses, a chocolate mouse en shell and limoncello that was fabulous. The music is authentic and the sound system unobtrusively good. This guy is an artist and truly personable. He sat and talked with me as I ate, and it seemed perfectly natural to do so. Folks, don't think this is not worth the drive. The place holds about 50 people and is a very special place for a nice group dinner. The wine list is excellent and he knows it. As he says, "I have done this long enough to know my box". But it isn't a box, it's a friendly warm professional Italian dining experience from the south of Italy. Take a drive! It's worth it! I'll be there next Wednesday evening.

I simply love this place and Carlo the owner is an amazing chef. If you can manage to eat there when he is cooking you are in for a real treat. I have never had anything here that I didn't like. I refuse to eat anything seafood and I ordered the ravioli once not realizing it had scallops in it. I only had 2 raviolis left when I realized I had been eating scallops the whole time. They have a lunch special that is a piece of grilled chicken on a ciabatta bun with a nice thick slice of melted cheese and I believe tomato on it. It is a great tasting and reasonably priced grab and go lunch item when u need to work through ur lunch hour.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
