Let's see, where do I begin? For starters, we waited 15 minutes to be asked what we would like to drink. Thankfully we were prepared to order our food at that time otherwise we still might be waiting..after about an hour and fifteen minutes we received our meals which we reluctantly shoved down our gullets. To put the quality of food into perspective, I would not have served my buddy's country steak to my dog. This whole time, no manager or server apologized for the inconvenience or offered any sort of accommodations. After our meal, I feel like the $1 tip we left was generous. If you are debating whether or not to go to this Village Inn, don't..save yourself the headache.

It's been years since I last visited a VI. I had hope walking in, as the place was bright and step up from IHOP or Waffle House. The coffee was undrinkable and the food was fair at best. Lukewarm canned coned beef hash (which I had asked for well-done. Why can't some restaurants not follow the simplest instructions?). I believe that the pancake side order was the best part of the meal. Better overall breakfasts in the vicinity, I imagine.

Good for old people. It's a lot like ihop in look and feel. I give it two stars the the food isnt to my taste at all (my grandma really wanted to go here) and there were verrrry few vegetarian options that sounded good (I dont count broccoli as a meal). Pros: There's a big menu selection The server was soooo sweet! It was quiet and clean I got refills a lot on my drink Cons: Bad pie crust. Very few veg options The hashbrowns were not brown, they were still white.

Tried to call in a to go order about 10 minutes before they close. Just a simple one not a huge meal or for multiple people. Instead I was told oh sorry we close in ten minutes and our kitchen is already closed. Really?!? You close in 10 minutes so therefore the kitchen should still be open. Definitely won't waste my time going there ever again. This isn't the first time that I've had issues with this village inn but it definitely is the last.

How do you f*** up chicken-fried steak? My order was like a baseball glove, cut into chunks, battered, and then deep fried in old grease for too long. I know this place isn't haute cuisine, but is edible too much to ask??

One thing that I will say again about Fort Collins, all the shops and restaurants simply love to close early and there are very few diners that are open all night. This absolutely drives me crazy! Village Inn is not an exception to this rule. The place closes at 10 p.m. every night. I get there around 9:40 and the hostess greets me and then starts seating me. She acts like she is straining herself to do her job at one point where she quickly adds, 'We close at 10.' So does this really mean that you are closed even though according to my watch it says 9:43? It is interesting that she would say this because she did not mention it to the two ladies that were being served ahead me. Same old Fo Co low level service B.S. as far as I'm concerned. Steven was my waiter and he did a good job and was eager to please. I understand he probably wanted to go home and so I made my order quick and to the point. Absolutely no complaints about Steven. He did a very nice job! The food was decent. I mean it is Village Inn, a wide spread American restaurant so you can't expect anything too homemade. Really my only complaint was the hostess.

Awful Simply awful Food took forever to come out. Was cold. Didn't do very much right. Waitress was a sweetheart though, it's not her fault that the kitchen can't get their shit together. My review also concurs with most of the above negative reviews about this restaurant. They did offer us free desert after we complained and I appreciate that, however the restaurant was empty at the time and I'm not sure how difficult it would have been to get things right the first time. This is a restaurant after all, I'd assume they would know how to run a restaurant.

I came in last Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience, for a change. Apparently they've got some new cooks, which would explain why I enjoyed my meal quite a bit :) I had the honey mustard club pita. It was loaded up with meat and it packed a good amount of flavor. Even the fries tasted a little better. Finished my meal with a slice of pumpkin cream pie. Perhaps they're starting to get their act together :)

I had a wonderful experience at the Village Inn. It was my first time visiting from Charleston, SC on vacation and I was really craving some breakfast food at noon. I strolled in around 12:30pm and it was not busy. I was able to pick where I wanted to sit and that was at a booth near the window because it had been snowing all morning! I ordered the Pick 5-scrambled eggs, cinnamon toast pancakes, turkey sausage links, country potatoes, and the strawberry crepe. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and did not take much time to get to my table at all. I am still dreaming about that strawberry crepe, OMG. I will definitely be visiting this cool spot again before I leave town!

Horrible service. Will not return. Wanted to split a pie, we were told we had to buy individual slices. Allowed us to buy a whole pie but would not give us plates.

This Village Inn is really yummy, one of the best VI locations I've been too. What I really appreciate here is the service, though. My friend and I mistakenly thought they were a 24 hour location and walked in at 9:30 after a late night final exam at CSU, when they actually close at 10. The staff was visibly tired but they were kind, and that is something I really appreciate. We were tired and hungry and they all gave us great service though I'm sure they were feeling the same way. I really like this VI location, and will be back for more.

I've been here 4 times since April 2014. The restaurant is clean although a few of the booths could stand to be reupholstered. Faith has been our server three put of the last four visits and she's always pleasant and strikes up enjoyable chit chat. Today, I spent an enjoyable time at Village Inn with my 9 year old daughter laughing over a slice of pie. It wasn't until we got back on our bicycles and arrived home over a mile away did I realize I may have lefty house keys there. I called Village Inn and sure enough, they were there. Faith met us at the door with a smile! The visit previous to this one was 7/5 and the service was equally pleasant. Food was hot , flavorful and priced better than Denny's or IHOP. My only suggestion would be to make the bacon a little thicker. I could actually see through it. I love that they leave the whole carafe of coffee at the table.
