Awesome place with unbelievable ambience & decor!! Great burgers too, with a MN nod on the menu of a Juicy Lucy!

Excellent local beer tap selection, excellent service-burger was very tasty and a little on the well done side for my likes. They keep a brisk business!

I've been meaning to write this review for two months, and it's a testament to the outstanding service and food I received that my experience is still on my mind. First of all, the hostess, server, and bartender were all exceedingly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Our server, Shane, was witty, kind, and efficient. The draft selection was eclectic and local, and I was given a sample of beer readily which is a huge deal to me. Our food was spectacular. I had a cup of tortilla soup and an LSK burger which was cooked perfectly. Drinks, atmosphere, and service were top notch. I've been recommending The Lodge to all of my friends and can't wait to go back!

On a busy holiday weekend this spot was not busy and didn't understand how; the food was delicious, fresh and had great presentation. Not to mention $3 bloody Mary's and brunch drink specials. The wilderness feel of the restaurant with woods, flannel and cabin decor was very cool. Plus with the feature on Diners, drive-in's and Dives they have a special burger that we were not able to try but sounds great

Just happened to walk by and stopped in for lunch. Cool place with a fun atmosphere! The best part was the service from Shane, our server. He was amazing and gave some of the best, friendliest service we've ever had. Food was good as well, so we'll be back next time we're in town.

The decor at this place is awesome, and the food is great!! The service on the other hand... terrible. I can deal with it when I am there dining, (it's never too terrible, just slow and the girls always seem to be texting and I NEVER receive refills on my drinks) but the food is worth it. I recently went in on a Friday, I went in for my first time late night just for a drink. The girl working was RUDE, and clearly intoxicated. It took her well over five minutes to count fifteen dollars change back from a 20. I went in there with a group and we were wanting to start a tab but decided to go somewhere where we knew we would get service. I don't think I will stop by late night again.

Really delicious ceasar salad with smoked salmon! Buffalo chicken sandwich was tasty as well. Games like pool and giant jenga upstairs with comfy seating.

We decided to randomly try this place out for lunch in Fort Collins yesterday, the quirky theme and interesting wood decor brought us in. Everything from the bar counter to the ceiling is built with wood. I really enjoyed this, it gave the place a cozy wood cabin vibe. The food is a mix of very meaty foods and some good vegetarian options. I ordered a ceasar salad and a side of pasta salad. The pasta salad was SO good, my favorite part of my meal! I went with my boyfriend Ben who got a burger, and enjoyed his food as well. Only complaint he had was the ketchup tasted funky, but when I asked our waiter why it tasted a little "different" he told us all their sauces are made in house, which is impressive. I actually like their ketchup, but Ben is used to the artificial super sugary version of Heinz ketchup, so I think he was missing that familiar taste for his waffle fries. I would go back, food was good quality and the menu had a nice mix of unhealthy grub and some healthier options - and staff was very friendly and attentive.

The first two times my husband and I went here the food was great! You got a lot for your money and it tasted fresh. Service has always sucked, but I'll take it if the food is good. Tonight was our third night going there, we sat at the bar hoping to get better service than last time....first of all, both my husband and I have worked many years in restaurants so we are usually understanding when it comes to poor service. Tonight was just unacceptable. It was Saturday night at 8pm, there were 4 bartenders and after we ordered our food and two drinks, service ceased to exist. We couldn't even beg for a drink, napkins, water or a to-go box (which we didn't even want because the wings, salad and mac n chz we ordered was so awful ) we could have just walked out without paying and no one would have realized we were gone. From experience as a bartender, YOU HAVE TO LOOK UP and observe your customers needs! Our intention tonight was to go to The Lodge, get some good food, have 3-4 drinks and go home. Instead, we were forced to leave because we were so thirsty. We will be spending our money elsewhere next time.

Don't go! We were surprised at how poor the service was at this restaurant. Being a new restaurant, we were looking forward to the new/exciting atmosphere that you usually find when going somewhere new.. Instead, we found the staff wanting as little as possible to do with us. This feels like an over-priced college bar. There were lots of young people with colorful language sitting around us. The food is quite pricey for what you get. We paid over $50 for 2 kids meals (mac & cheese), a burger, an appetizer and 2 beers. When we arrived, our waitress informed us that we could get a burger and beer for $6, but didn't explain that the beer had to be a Coors Light (read the fine print!). It would've been nice if our waitress had comped us the difference in price for the beers, but instead she seemed put out and offered to replace our beer with Coors Light after it was poured and sitting in front of us... The entire experience at The Lodge was less than satisfactory! There are lots of options in Ft. Collins and we will be spending our time and money elsewhere.

This place is great! The menu is quite unique, and everything I've tried has been very good. I like the rustic atmosphere, and the parking is easy. Park in the garage and you can just cross the alley and enter through the back. The staff has always been very friendly as well.
(5)Juergen S.
Great ram fries but I'll pass on the $9.99 wings since they looked like they came off a Cornish hen, and we're over cooked.

This place is fun! We stopped by after a New Belgium tour and were in dire need of some food - we have heard good things from friends about this place. The decor is fun and interesting, and the staff were super friendly and attentive! The happy hour beers are a pretty good price - local craft brews for $3. The best part - the burger + beer for $6 deal. The burgers were great and you really can't beat that price! I've only been here twice - once for food and once for a quick beer. I've had a good experience both times and would recommend this place to my friends as a casual place to grab a quick and cheap dinner. It seems like a good place for families as well, as there were many big groups with kids when we were there. To sum it up: pretty good food, great beers, awesome service.

This is my "go to" when hitting old town. i absolutely LOVE their take on a Moscow Mule and their "Lumberjack" cocktail.Their food is delicious as well! I usually go with the chicken nachos (you better have a buddy to share them with!) or a burger. Their sweet potato fries are amazing! Im a huge fan!
(5)Jeff W.
This is just classic old stale bar food, really it's more like rip off's of episodes of diners drive inns and dives. I have eaten here twice, both at lunch ( weekend and weekday) the menu is full of traditional bar fare, burgers, chicken, fried stuff. On this occasion I opted for the cheeses curds and a taco salad. The curds were ok, lightly battered and served with ranch. You get about 6 to an order for 8 bucks, not worth the money. I had ice tea for my drink 2.50 for tea???? WTF! I know coffee and tea is spendy but it cost more then gas right now. Ok, the taco salad...... It came on a plate with a giant taco shaped deep fried tortilla, salad mix ( ice berg lettuce) over cooked hamburger meat, black olives, slices of American cheese, tomatoes and enough jalopenos to make 20 plates of nachos! Service is classic FOCO- slow and unremarkable, like I'm bugging them that I asked for more ice for my warm tea. By the way the tea tasted like it was brewed in the coffee pot, it had coffee undertones. Well, this place is just yucky, not sure what else to say. Good luck but I think it's going to be short lived.

Really awesome place! I went there with a friend and we were greeted by a really friendly waitress who was ready to help us. We ordered and received our drinks and food really fast! Everyone was really nice and it really felt like you were inside some cabin in the mountains. The whole inside is made out of logs, even the bar has stacked wood to make it very 'lodge-y.' Had a great time and will be back again soon!
(5)Adam F.
Warm coffee, hot toddy with out honey, wilted carrots and celery and way over priced food. This is a prime example of why restaurants don't survive in fort collins mediocrity! !!
(1)Cort L.
Fried chicken was amazing, door man was dope, perfect way to end a night of bar-hopping.
(5)Dustin B.
4 stars for tasty food, 1 for the two hours it took to get through lunch. Our waitress was sweet, but in over her head. One person's order never got put in so that added to the delay, but they were nice enough to comp that. The apps we ordered never made it before the food so we canceled those. The decor was pretty cool if you care about those things. This place has a lot of potential if they can improve on the speed. Most people don't have 2 hours for lunch.
(3)Bruce E.
Great place to watch a game. Affordable happy hour beer that is local. Decent higher end bar food. Lacking on the attention to detail, fifty percent of their games and the atm were broken...
(3)Jami W.
Great! We went to The Lodge after we were treated crappy at The Moot House. So glad we did!!! Great service, friendly folks, and yummy food! I had the fish sandwich and my husband had the Juicy Lucy and they were so darn good! Huge portions and very yummy. Price was great as well. Good happy hour. Will be back many times!!!!
(4)Damian K.
Service was adequate nothing special. Food was trying to be unique but failed on delivery. Had a habenero burger, decent but lacked in heat. Good place for a burger. Their side dishes could use a lot of work; waffle fries or sweet potato tots...not very good. Not sure I would go again.
(3)Ty F.
Oh my! What a wonderful place. I had the tortilla soup and juicy Lucy my husband had the sasquatch so delicious. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Clean and welcoming. Great drink special.
(5)Sarah H.
This is my new favorite haunt in Fort Collins. The bar staff is awesome, and have made me feel at home. I love the sweet potato tater tots, and the burgers are so freaking tasty! I haven't sat any place beyond the front bar, and I find the orange stools perfectly comfy. The overall vibe of this place is what brought in the door, and the yummyliscious food and friendly staff keep me coming back. I hear the chicken nachos are a must try, but large so I am waiting until I go in with friends. Also they have Big Buck Hunter on an HD giant screen so I will definitely be going back to play that sometime soon. Do yourself a favor and check it out, all the cool people are doing it!
(5)Gene M.
Not a bad place to eat. The atmosphere is hip in a north woods sort of way. I ordered an LHS burger and it was over cooked. My partner ordered the Kale Citrus salad and it was a great salad...one of the best in town. The service was prompt and courteous. They ended up not charging me for the burger, I didn't expect a discounted lunch. I will come back.

Every time I eat here I am amazed at how delicious it is! Tonight was another hit. We split the chicken nachos, which is by far the best value appetizer on the menu. Then we had the beef dip sandwich and it was sooooooo yummy, comes with a creamy horseradish sauce and a delish au jus - one of the best French dips I've ever eaten, it was delectable. I also LOVE the pretzel burger, cheesy and mustardy! And I can say with confidence that the habanero Parmesan bacon burger is also worth every penny. To top it off I had a Belgian chocolate stout and my boyfriend enjoyed a light and crisp accumulation white IPA. EAT HERE! You won't be disappointed.
(5)John W.
We ate here last night. We were seated immediately and our server came right over. She was polite, courteous and knowledgable about the menu. I had the Juicy Lucy burger. It was great. My wife really enjoyed the Veggie Stack. My 11 year old felt comfortable watching the many games on the tvs. He had the LoLo wings as a meal and ate them all. We really enjoyed this place. I highly recommend them.

Man! I'm so disappointed with this place. A few friends and I went out to check out The Lodge on a tuesday night. The bar itself is pretty cool, very ski-lodge-esque (hence the name). The drinks were okay. Nothing special here. The bartenders were incredibly inattentive and slow. The food took some time and was mediocre. My sidekick order the ESK burger and it was under seasoned and HEAVY on the onion straws.. damn call it a damn onion straw burger! I ordered the Pretzel burger. It was okay. It compares to Wendy's pretzel burger. The fried goods were AWFUL. I ordered the sweet potato tots and they were salty as hell. Oh and they fry all of their FISH with their sides so every french fry or tater tot tasted like fish. It was awful. I may dip in in the future for a drink but that's it. FRY YOUR FISH SEPARATELY. YOU COULD KILL SOMEONE. Yo and hire some bartenders who want to serve and MAKE MONEY not sit on Facebook. The Lodge.. BOO... go somewhere else.
(2)Laura D.
$6 for a burger and beer? Um yes! The burger is WONDERFUL!!! Swap your coors light for a local craft for $1. My only gripe is the menu advertises a weekend brunch that apparently doesn't exist? Or happens only occasionally? Odd.
(4)Bobby K.
I went during their soft opening, so there are a few kinks to work out. Overall, I enjoyed the look of the restaurant, the friendliness of the staff, and the tastiness of the food. It was a tad on the slower end, so go with friends and have fun. I will definitely go back and try it again after their grand opening.
(4)Kyle E.
This place sucks...it's 10pm and the bartender is about to pass out...he's completely uninterested in us and would rather be looking at his phone...we got some cheese curds, which were okay, but the drinks were a rip off...I dont like paying $8 for a gin and tonic, then getting a cup of Sprite...I will not be back...
(1)Melanie L.
I was disappointed in both the service and the food. The staff was short, and didn't seem to care about how the food was or if anything else was needed. The food was cold when it came out and only three heavily breaded pieces of fish come with the 18$ dollar fish fry. The shrimp ceviche was better, but not deveined which always turns me off to a shrimp dish.
(2)Jared R.
I went there for the first time tonight. Service and food was good, I like the atmosphere and I'll be back.. However... $7 for a beer!?!? Seriously?? Probably cheaper to drink at a Rockies game on their new rooftop then The Lodge. Like I said, I'll be back, but if I want to drink, I'll drink somewhere else before or after I go to The Lodge.
(4)Stacy H.
Great food and super cool atmosphere! There are tv screens everywhere, so if you are lookimg to have a romantic dinner it might not be your place. Gteat for family and friends!
(5)Erica L.
Not sure if I ate at a restaurant or Best Buy... are 5 plus big screen TVs necessary in such a small area? The food wasn't anything special, comparable to Chili's. Server was short and impersonal. Extremely disappointing. What's up with these new restaurants with spiffy new remodeled interiors that don't care one bit about food originality/quality and dining experience ?
(2)Darin S.
As far as looks go, this place is awesome. But that's the only thing good to say about it. The wait staff is standoffish from the get go. Ordered two Mules, was given an old fashioned in a 9oz copper mug and a Mule in a Pint Glass. Soggy appetizer. That mixed with the pretentious conversation of the bartenders and their indifference to even taking your order (let alone getting it right) ruined any positive assumptions or hopes I had for the place
(1)Hugh J.
4 others and I stop in for beers. We get berated by some drunk girl as they're leaving and also get "told off" by her significant other then the bouncer comes up and asks us what WE did. This place SUCKS. Hope they walk into traffic.

The first 2 times I ate at The Logde it was pretty good! The third time I went there I took my dad to show him how good the food was and it was not very good at all. The mac & cheese wasn't as good as the first time. The noodles weren't cook all the way and the service was sucky too. I hate when the food is not consistent. So TODAY I decided to give it one more try. We walked in and got seated right away by the very nice hostess who also got us our drinks. She said our server would be right with us. We watched 2 tables get sat down after us and the waitress waited on those tables first. She proceeded to walk by our table with NO acknowledgement of us even being there!! She put the first tables order in and walked right over to the next table that just got seated who seemed to be friends of hers. The waitress walked by us 3 times never once saying a word to us. This sealed the deal! I got up and walked right out and I will never go back to the Lodge!!! There are way to many good options for GREAT food in this town.

We tried this new place in the heart of Old Town the other night and came away pleasantly surprised. The menu has all kinds of comfort foods on it and I ended up with the fried bologna sandwich. I mean, seriously, how long has it been since you've had fried bologna?? I got it with sweet potato tots. It was devine. The bartender was friendly and talkative, which is nice because a lot of places, since we are not their target market (we're a bit older), we tend to get ignored but this guy was chatty cathy with us and we like that. Thank you. We'll be back. There are several areas of seating and two bars, one front, one back. The orange stools at the high top long tables are TOO TALL for those tables and way uncomfortable. We moved to the back bar, much better. Upstairs is a loft with a couch area with two big screen TVs (they have TVs all over the whole place) which would be nifty to commandeer with a small group of friends to watch your favorite team. They also have a pool table, a shooting gallery game and ski ball. I love ski ball but theirs is $1 and NO TICKETS. Ha. I want tickets! I thought it was just me that was disappointed by this but I went up later to play again and a guy says, "The Ski Ball is a rip off!". So we had a good laugh about the fact that there were also no tickets. Like I said, overall, good place, impressed with the menu and the service and will add this to our list of Old Town bars to hang at. Not giving five stars only because I want to go back and try more things off the menu first.
