I LOVE the beer here. Likely my favorite beer. But when I go in, the staff at the register hurries me. My first time there, I waited in a long line at the register (completely unclear if I had to be waiting in the line or if I could go up to the bar. I asked if this is where I have to order my drinks and I only bought one beer, because I wasn't sure if I could go up to the bar for my second. It's hard to explain, but the people there are not as friendly as New Belgium or Left Hand. I always feel welcome at NB, but not at Odell. I prefer the beer here, but the atmosphere at other breweries.

Love this brewery. A new favorite of mine. Just tried it for the first time this week!

Odell is by far one of my favorite breweries in town! Perfect place to hang out and bring your dogs too!

Great place to sample beer. They have an eclectic variety. I tried the classic sample and it reflected a very good range from light and fruity to creamy malty and ending on a Hoppy note. There is inside seating and a really nice outside patio that is dog friendly. There's piped in music that was super pleasant. A different food truck stops by every day so that you can enjoy a variety of food to go along with your beer sample. I really enjoyed the quality of the beer.

great tour. recommended. great outdoor space. flights are good value. would love to come back here.

The tasting room at Odell is so airy and modern, it feels like it couldn't possibly be a brewery, but the flights of multi-hued beer proved otherwise. We stopped here for a brief tasting on our Berthoud / Fort Collins brewery tour. The grounds and building are very pleasant, with a ski-lodge-in-summer feel. Not much to say, since we didn't stay long, but the experience was very pleasant; it was a little crowded (Sunday afternoon) but still easy to find a table. Their beer is all a little too hoppy for me, but they have a nice variety and the wheat beer was pretty drinkable.

Wonderful brewery! Came here on a Saturday and it was packed. We tried to catch their tour but it was full so we decided to just enjoy some beers. They offer two different samplers and they were cheap! I think the classic sampler was only 4 dollars for a sample of 6 of their beers. What a steal! I think our overall favorite was the 90 Shilling Ale. Definitely come and check this place out if you enjoy beer. They have a beer for everyone.

This place is awesome! Great vibe, they always have a food truck outside, and live music, and the beer tasting is fun and delicious. This is a must do on a Saturday!

This brewery has a great tasting room and last time I was there (July 2013) they are expanding and making it even larger. There is a great patio area as well. This is a perfect place to sample a few new beers, or meet up with friends for a few pints. I like the casual atmosphere and the set flights of beer that you can get (I also like that you get a discount on purchases if you have bought a tasting flight). Try the Isolation Ale if they have it on hand; it is a winter brew, but super delcious for all times of the year.

Love this place! Best to stop here before New Belgium, instead of, or if the other is full!

  • Linda G.

A must see on your visit to the Fort. They are wonderful people who have a superior product, and who support the local community. It's been exciting to see them grow and prosper. And, it's inspiring to see how much they give back to everyone.

This is what a brewery should be like! Lots of place to drink, great beers, and friendly people. I had some time to kill with my parents and so we decided to check out a local brewery. This one was recommended to us by a very nice waiter the night before. The name vaguely rang a bell but I couldn't place it (given that we can't get Odell in CA. BOO!) The brewery is perfect. Very open with great patio seating and benches inside. An efficient system to get your beer so you don't have to wait. Food on your way in and out that smelled great. The best part though was their flight choices. You could go with their standard, more experimental, or super out there beers. The fun to that is everyone can enjoy it. The beer newbie can enjoy the classics while a beer lover can expand their pallet. All the beers were fantastic too. Out of this world good. I truly wish we could get it in Pasadena. I look forward to a return visit.

This place had such a good atmosphere! I loved it! Staff was not very friendly but maybe an off day for them? Beer was great!

  • Amy S.

Loved it here- gorgeous setting and delicious beer! My only complaint was that they were not serving flights as it was 'too busy' which was a major bummer since we were visiting from the East Coast and wanted to try as much as possible while we could. I did like that you could choose smaller or larger drafts so I could at least try a few different, but being able to order flights would have made this an A++ experience for me!

  • Jake D.

While I needed to kill time before a flight on a Monday afternoon, I came across the Odell Brewery. I signed up for an afternoon tour and had a taster flight while I waited. It wasn't too busy being the middle of the week, but I could see how this place can get crowded at peak times. The tour was quick and informative (and free!). Katie was very knowledgeable and passionate about the whole operation. While under construction, the patio was very nice on a Spring afternoon. I will definitely keep this place in mind the next time I am in town!

  • Dustin C.

Been waiting a long time to check this place out and it didn't disappoint in any way. The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and must have cost a fortune! Lots of parking space and a ton of bike racks. Staff is super super friendly (why wouldn't they be, they work at a brewery!). Anytime we had questions there was someone willing to help out and chat, never felt rushed or unwanted. The beer is obviously fantastic. They have a few different flights depending on what your tastes are. All were very well put together, you really can't go wrong with any of their beers. The seasonals are always awesome, and the pilot program is such a cool idea that produces great beers. Had heard of how busy it can be, but we went on a Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30 and it was happening but not crowded. Definitely recommend opening a tab versus paying separately every time (different cashes for each). No food from them but they had a food truck in front of the patio area (can't remember the name). Food was really tasty. I thought the anticipation of this place might spoil the actual thing but it didn't. Will definitely be back!

Fun & quick [free] tour of the brewery. Nice tasting room with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Pet friendly. Great beers! I haven't tried the food truck yet. The dark brew selection they have in the winter months is fantastic.

Absolutely my favorite Colorado brew. Staff is so chill and that brewery is beautiful. Just go...you'll love it.

It's probably a good thing I don't live in Colorado or I would be a far too frequent guest of Odell Brewing Company. Our tour guide was friendly, the beer was EXCELLENT, location spacious, and optoins various. I am stoked that they at least ship to Texas now so I can partake in the deliciousness. Well done, ODell! I will be back on my next trip to Fort Collins.

Beer Stop 14 --- Odell is a great place. Breweries like this are great - a hop head's dream. My girlfriend and I were here in time to take a tour of the brewery. The tour was fantastic - the tour guide was very enthusiastic about all the beer they brew. The beer they gave on tour - bourbon stout - was very good too. Back to the beer - 20 beer on tap plus a hand cask. They have such a wide variety of beer on tap that its really easy to lose track of time here. The best beer - the DIPA they have! My girlfriend liked their sour beer - and she never likes a sour. Hi5!

  • Daniela B.

Great beer, great ambiance, cool staff The tasting room is large and has a lovely patio for sunny days. There are always plenty of beers on tap. Tasting flights are the way to go at first. With plenty of information on each beer and 6 beers per flight. They also tour their brewery which is nice little break from the tasting room and you'll appreciate the next round even more

Cheapest. Growlers. Anywhere!!!! Not only is the vessel itself the cheapest I've seen, growler fills are super reasonable. This place is beautiful, and staffed with extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly people. They know their stuff, and they're not afraid to let you sample all things. I was very familiar with Odell's bottled beer, and 90 Shilling has been a staple of my fridge since I moved to Colorado, so it was nice to finally visit its birthplace. Now that I've been once, I have a reason to travel to Fort Collins again and get cozy for a while at one of Odell's inviting tables. But why do they close so early?! Bummertown. More beer for longer, please.

  • Jake W.

Always fun with a welcoming staff and true beer-lover's atmosphere, Odell Brewing is a must-experience in Fort Collins. With beers for all palettes, though a focus on hoppy, fun, and different, all will find something to enjoy. And, the new outdoor area is killer when the weather is nice!

    (5)
  • Christopher S.

Great selection, friendly tour and the Perle White IPA is amazing! I hope they make it a regular and not a seasonal. I look forward to my next trip!

Cheapest coolest brewery I visited in Fort Collins. Hands Down.

  • Nick L.

Odells was our last stop on a Fort Collins brew tour and oh wow. I've had their "standard" beers around town many times any they always hit the spot. But the Deconstruction and Meddler might have changed my life. The Meddler is a mild sour, but very tasty if you like sours. I can't describe the Deconstruction other than awesome and you have to try it. It's not like any other beer I've had before ... and its 10.5% so that doesn't suck either. The tap room was pretty busy but then again it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so I'm not surprised. The flight prices are affordable and you get to try beers you might not try otherwise. A must stop if you're in Fort Collins and want to try some good CO craft beer!

Brewers Association ranks New Belgium Brewing 3rd largest microbrew in sales volume. Odell is ranked 34th so its still has somewhat of a local feel. 20+ drafts with special Nitro taps. The tap room is huge with lots of patio seating. Tours are everyday at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. They close early at 6pm or 7pm so arrive early.

  • Ryan D.

We stopped by here while on vacation. We jumped into the last tour of the day. Our tour guide was very thorough and helpful. We sampled Isolation ale, a seasonal beer which was very good, while on the tour. We went into the barrel aging warm room and basked in the glory of a bunch of their woodcut beers aging to perfection, as well as other experimentals. We ended up in the tasting room sampling a co-pilot flight. All the beers we had we're very good and heavy, almost too heavy. Bring a DD to take you home if you visit here and have a few too many samples. Overall a nice brewery and good town to visit.

Why do so many people call Northern Colorado the "Napa Valley of Craft Brewing"? Here's the answer. The pilot system allows them to introduce new brews quickly, with a built-in trial audience at one of the best, most comfortable taprooms in the area. Their brews are exemplary. The 5 Barrel IPA is a particular favorite of mine, featuring a hop bite that while substantial, is still accessible. 90 Schilling has been a Fort Collins standard for years, its' subtly sweet balance pairs with all manner of food choices. Their seasonals and limited releases, such as Mountain Standard, Woodcut, Lugene, and St. Lupulin all have their followings, as well they should! The whole package just exudes a family feel. A true Fort Collins must-go.

5 stars for being my absolute favorite brewery in Fort Collins. Why you ask? Star 1 = The brewery itself is big, spacious, and offers a cute little patio to sip your brews on :) Star 2 = The staff is beyond amazing and so nice. Star 3 = Their souvenirs/gifts are super cute and so Colorado. I walked away with the perfect T-shirt for the bf. Star 4 = Cheap flights, Cheap pints, and cheap promo drinks. Star 5...I saved the best for last...= THE BEER IS FANTASTIC! I can't get enough of their IPA and their seasonal beers :)mmmmmmm!! Perfect place to enjoy a beer on a perfect fall day :)

We don't get Odell in Texas, so getting into the taproom has been a big "to-do" list for me and my boyfriend. Every time we've visited FoCo, the brewery has been closed, but not on our third try! The facility is new and glossy! There are plenty of tables but the room still gets packed on a Friday night! Order at the front counter, they'll fill your order and put it at the other end of the bar for you to pick up. If you're new to their beers, the flights are a great way to sample what they have on tap. My boyf thought the tour was disappointing because the tour guide wasn't a brewer but one of their bartenders. They also have tons of Odell gear to choose from - I got my sis a Friek tshirt as a gift! Oddly enough, the bottle of Friek was the same price at the taproom and the liquor store.

Always a fan of Odells! Great people and the new addition is fantastic! The idea to incorporate the food trucks is fabulous! Great food and fantastic beer in a comforting environment. If you want to relax and feel the vibe of The Fort, this is the place and get a solid meal!

My favorite spot in Ft. Collins! Great place to grab a beer, meet up with friends, sit outside & bring kids (yes! It's a perfect place to bring your kids in the summer)! Fabulous staff, delicious beer & awesome ambiance! Love that they also give back to the community & stay true to their 'local brand'.

  • Brooke S.

Wow, awesome, and great. Wish we could have stayed longer but we were on the tail end of a road trip back to TX. Delicious beer, wonderfully helpful staff, comfortable tasting room. Will be back, sooner rather than later I hope!

Beer flights are an indecisive person's dream. Except when at a place like Odell's where there are three flights to choose from...oh the decisions! Do yourself a favor and try all three flights, each one is packed with fine quality, great tasting craft brews. We stopped in on a bit of a brewery tour pilgrimage through Ft. Collins and were really happy this place was on the list. The tap room is a very cool place to hang with friends and sample the plethora of beers on draft. They also have some great glassware and gear for purchase, including an awesome cycling jersey. Head out to the outside patio to enjoy their beers and perhaps take part in a game of bags. The tour was very casual (and free!), but that doesn't mean these people aren't passionate about their beer. Beer is life for them, and it shows in the quality of their beers and the fun atmosphere.

Fun place to drink, nice patio, and food trucks outside! (Lost one star for not having actual food)

  • Gerold S.

Tasting great special brews like the Double Pilsener and their IPA s in their stylish taproom was like to be on cloud nine. You can also sit outside in their beergarden. If you are a beer lover this is exactly one place that you should not miss if you are in Fort Collins. 5 stars for sure!!!

Nice tour. We were able to taste some of their seasonal and anniversary small batch beers. They are a very interesting company that gives back to the community and takes fantastic care of their people. Everyone at the tap house had a smile on their face and why would you not? There is amazing beer everywhere.

  • Alison Q.

Stopped here on our Fort Collins "brew-cation". Was not disappointed. Big outdoor area, spacious, they offer tours and tastings, and have a wide selection of merch for tourists like me and my boyfriend (who has to get a pint glass and a tee-shirt everywhere brewery he visits).

  • Holly G.

Still calling Odell Easy Street Wheat my favorite 95 degree day beer. This place is always super packed every time I have tried to come since my last review. Obviously, with good reason but still I wish I could get a place to sit! I love their rare beers and it is fun to try those out in the tap-room when I am up visiting in FoCo.

    (4)
  • Julie H.

ODell invited my ladies beer club up to brew. We started at 9:30am with tasters from all the taps. I have always liked beer for breakfast. ODell has a solid selection of flights and pints. There are also tours throughout the day. I also saw a shuttle transporting patrons between "Shops and Hops"

Is it me, or has this place blown up in size in the last couple of years? Possibly this is due to the tasty beverages they consistently put out, as we confirmed on stop # 3. I like the way the O'dells does their tasting menu, you have different levels of beers to choose so you can pick your palate, ranging from the usual store brands to the heavier craft beers. I'm a big fan of their products, but being able to get some lesser known brews was a nice change, I drink the 90 Shilling, Red, and IPA all the time, so I need variety. There's lots of room to spread out, and a small grill outside to get some grub as a beer sponge. As far as the beers themselves, this is my favorite of the stops we made.

  • Jason J.

Odell is hands down my favorite brewery in Colorado. I'm from New England, and love my New England breweries so rather than put some above the others, I have to separate into regions. I think Odell makes some of the best beers I've ever had in my life. I love their standard brews, and love the way they experiment in their pilot system to create creative kegs that you can sample in their tap house. The way their tap house is set up feels contemporary and rustic at the same time. While they charge for the samples and other places don't, their prices are entirely reasonable, and worth it for their awesome products. Plus you get tokens to use as discounts on merch purchases with every sampling flight purchase. Plenty of space, quick service, and amazing beers to try lead to an amazing place to visit during an afternoon in Fort Fun. While you're at Odell don't forget to take a tour of the brewery. And while if you've taken one tour you've kind of taken them all, it's so much more personal that something you'd get at the big Breweries. Plus you get to go into the Hop Room, which is just heaven for IPA fans. It's like you're standing in an IPA, it's wonderful. So while it's off the beaten path for Denverites like me, it's absolutely worth the trip. And their amazing libations are worth the price of admission. If you're a beer fan, you should definitely visit Odells!

This review is for the Tap House at the brewery and not the beer itself. We are HUGE fans of their beer, but the experience we had at the Tap House sucked. For being a "Micro" brewery, I was very disappointed in their customer service and experience. The best part of going to a brewery and tap room is to be able to talk to workers of the actual brewery and discuss the beers and learn about them. If that is what you like about drinking at a brewery, THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE. There is no bar to chat, there is line and a menu, just like at McDonalds. Which is really not what I am looking for out of a microbrewery experience. The people taking your order, where not pleasant either. You go to another place to pick up your order, yup, again, just like McDonalds. On a whole, there was no benefit to drinking at the brewery vs drinking it anywhere else. Like at my house, where I have 90 shilling on tap.

  • Walter H.

One of my all-time favorite breweries! They can't be beat! They always have new interesting beers on tap everytime I go. The staff is also really nice and they have great bands playing in the tap room every wednesday.

I've had so much Fat Tire that all I wanted was Odell, especially because I can't get it everywhere I go.. We arrived a bit early (as recommended) and started with a flight. We chose the one with the more rare finds and enjoyed the setting. It was a bit busy on a cloudy Sunday but the group we toured with added to the experience. I forget who gave us the tour but she was super relaxed and her personality was great for the tour. You get a small sample at the end (it's a smaller brewery). If I lived in Ft. Collins, I'd be here every weekend.

  • Steve P.

Additions are in progress! Looks like this outdoor area is gonna get even bigger/nicer! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a cold, hoppy beer with your buds. Tours are offered several times a day, and every employee was very engaging. I want to bottle this place up and take it home to show what a brew pub can be!

    (4)
  • Katie W.

Odell makes great beer - some of the best in CO, if not the country. They always have rotating seasonals, as well as great mainstays. Their re-constructed patio and newly opened expanded indoor bar seating makes for a more comfortable environment to accommodate the large crowds drawn by the good beer. If you're just passing through, this is for sure one not to miss.

    (5)
  • N J.

Great taproom, tasty beer, nice staff. We went in mid-week and it was still chock-full of people. We had a couple of tasters, enjoyed nearly all of them and even got in on a tour of the brewery. They're in the middle of expanding the brewery right now but the construction really doesn't affect the tap room experience. We had a fabulous time there. We'll be back.

    (5)
  • Colin R.

I love Odell's, their IPA is my favorite beer. Mercenary is a close second. Their delivery driver Gus is a really good guy, if anyone from Odell's is reading this give that man a raise!

  • Mandah C.

Amanda, not me... the employee is amazing! We had a private tour with her and she is just great! LOVE the BEER. LOVE the people. LOVE the culture!

Had a great time at Odell Brewing Company! First time in Fort Collins, so I decided I would try to visit most of the breweries in one day. Started the day our at Odell, and didn't want to leave. The tour is a must, and try to guy during the day if you can cause it's a little slower and you'll get some more personal attention with everything. As for the beers, they classics are great, but a lot of the beer is only available right there at the Taproom. The bartenders are great to chat with and will let you sample whatever you like. Take a chance and try some of the more outlandish beers that they have (Thin Mint Porter, Bourbon Barrel Stout, Double Black IPA) it's well worth it. Reasonably priced and a great atmosphere.

  • Anthony J.

O'Dell is a homebrewer's dream brewery. Seriously, as one that loves making my own beer and experimenting with ingredients to create unique flavors and downright delicious libations, I have to say that they take that sense of creativity and inventiveness to a commercial level. Big props to Doug and his incredible crew of brewing mad scientists! The facility is very well designed, although it can get packed quick (on any day of the week) so if you're planning on coming here come early. They open at 11am - So, that means you get your happy, beer drinking ass in there because by around 3pm they are CRAZY busy and it's tough to get a table to enjoy the beer and good company. If you're doing a brewery tour in Ft. Collins this should be in your top 3 to visit. Period.

  • Carlos G.

I loved this place, so Fort Collins. They have a small brewery tour but the staff is so helpful and nice. We arrived as they opened, thats what a guys weekend does, it drives you to early drinking. The beer was so tasty, since we dont get Odell's in Chicago I loved it. I highly recommend this tour. Plus all they do is always focused on their footprint, yay CO!

    (5)
  • Levi F.

A+ always busy. The beers are always flowing. The service is always catering towards their customers. If you need something they are willing to accommodate. I would recommend making time to stay here for a while and staying for a tour. It's great to learn about a local brewery!

    (5)
  • Luke H.

Best variety of flavors and styles for any of the major brewhouses in North Colorado. I love this place. It isn't the cheapest tasting in town, but that atmosphere, quality of products, and attitude of servers is the best. If you are lucky, show up on Friday afternoons and have a late lunch at the food truck that offers a beer pairing menu.

I love Odell. Best beer in Colorado.

  • Paul R.

This brewery is fantastic. The beer is delicious and for a very good price (free) you can go on a tour of the facility which will include a sampling of the special brew of the season. I can only wish to find the Odell beer at my local grocery store, liquor store, Bevmo, Total Wine, etc. But I won't hold my breath since I live in Orange County. The tour guide was awesome and the flights that we purchased were all delicious. I will definitely come back for a pint in the near future. Cheers

Wow, really great to see the Odell factory. Beautiful building. The artwork on their beers is awesome and the thoughtfulness carries through in this place. The tasting room was packed, which was kind of a bummer. I can't blame them for success I guess ;) If you get a chance, definitely worth a visit.

  • Andrew T.

As a non-beer drinker, I'd warn you not to pay any attention to what I'm going to say. I just wanted to comment on the nice tap room - better than New Belgium's in that they offer flights and tasters, which are much more conducive to tasting the wide variety they have available. Plus I liked the camaraderie between employees here and elsewhere. You can park your car and they promise not to tow it as you move on to other breweries, plus we definitely saw our Odell tour guide just an hour or so later...in the New Belgium tap room.

Love all the new space and even tho I'm a cider drinker, I can ALWAYS find a beer here I'll like!

After living here for almost 10 years, this is my go to brewery. This area has innumerable breweries and many are quite impressive, but this one has always been my favorite. If you are a dark beer fan, be sure to try the Nitro Cutthroat Porter. This is hands down my favorite beer ever!!!

  • John K.

I just had the taster tray. There wasn't a brew I didn't like. These guys are good! And Fort Collins obviously knows it. The place was hopping (pun intended). I'm an IPA fan and they didn't disappoint. Several excellent hop feasts. The downside of the taster tray is that there were IPAs I didn't get to try. I'll have to look for their brew back in the Pacific Northwest. For food, one of the local restaurants provides a coach outside. I didn't have any, but the burgers I saw coming in looked very good as well. Only down side is that they closer pretty early; 6 pm during the week.

This is legit beer country. Fort Collins knows what's up. While I may not have ventured to all 19 micro breweries in town, I can without a doubt say that Odell Brewery is my favorite. The brewery tour doesn't require reservations, a huge plus since there are others in town that book up more than a month in advance. Ahem. Plan to arrive early... The website suggests 30 minutes early, but I say get there an hour early and get your drink on with a $4 flight! They have several flights to choose from: year round brews, seasonal, and a couple others. With a flight purchase, you receive a wooden nickel that will get you $4 off a $10 purchase or, you can choose to donate the money to an assortment of local charities. Nice touch for those who don't necessarily want a souvenir tshirt. I was a big fan of the Rhu Brew (seasonal) and the Cutthroat Porter. Theres something for everyone here and they even feature food trucks in the parking lot on weekends... Live music at 4pm too to keep the party going.

  • Chris D.

Odell's brews one of my favorite beers of all time! 90 Schilling! I'm a fan of all their brews though and love to hit up their brewery from time to time and relax on their deck with a delicious tasty beverage. Oh how I missed Colorado beers while I was out of state.

    (5)
  • Sophia N.

Go here! They have an awesome tasting room, and you can choose from several different tasting flights. Choose whichever one. You won't be disappointed. By far, my favorite brewery. The beers just go down so smoothly. Make sure you pick up some sweet swag too. This place has so much to offer! If you don't live in one of the states they distribute to, don't get too attached! We made sure to stock up when we were in Colorado. I'm obsessed!

I love O' Dell's beers!! 90 Shilling and East St. Wheat are the faves and my husband loves the St. Lupelin's. Definitely busy but not too bad. A word to the wise though: stand in the line to order your tasters/flights - otherwise it's in very bad form to cut - especially when you don't know how it works! I really wanted to order one of their tasters but with 6-8 beers and having to drive home I passed and grabbed a pint of my favorite East Street Wheat.

This is where the locals go. Best beer in Colorado and some of the best in the country. They never fail. Great tasting room and great staff. I love this place.

Odell was on our tour we did of Ft. Collins breweries. When I walked in I felt I was in the Napa Valley of beer. You could tell these guys are used to people just popping in for a taste or two. The staff was quick to help with your order. What I really enjoyed was that they already had flights of their beer selected for you to try. And the price was very good. I went with the Co-Pilot flight that was a mix of their seasonal beers along with a couple of their regulars. My favorite of the day was the Red Squared. I will say Odell's isn't my favorite beer in the world but their tap room is very nice. Definitely make it a stop if you are touring for beer in Ft. Collins.

If you're in Ft. Collins, go here instead of New Belgium. It is heaven for beer snobs, but the staff are happy to explain some of the beers if you don't know what you're doing. Tours can be arranged on-site or in advance. Order a couple of flights with your friends to get the best impression of the spread. If you like beers that kick you in the teeth, get the Double IPA. You will leave toothless.

This will be a partial review as I feel I did not get the entire brewery experience. My wife and I visited the brewery on my birthday which also coincided with the release of their Tree Shaker IPA. The tasting room was packed! The Tree shaker was very tasty and full of alcohol! Win. We were hoping to take a tour but were thwarted by some overzealous large parities who bogarted all the tokens (bottle caps) for the upcoming tours. That was the only bad part about the experience. I wish there was a way you could improve the tour-signing-up procedure so that it was more accommodating rather than the free-for-all it currently is. After enjoying one more beer on me and another on another patron we left the establishment feeling nice but still wishing for a tour. I will update this review later when I am able to beat the swing-the-hook game on the high tops. Don't know what I'm talking about....go to the brewery and you'll get it! You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely love Odell beer. I struggle to think of a brewer that brews more styles so exceptionally. They are always a staple of my fridge beer selection and will often get Odell beer when out in Denver. However, after my 3rd visit to the brewery in Fort Collins, I couldn't ignore how much I hate going to the taproom at the brewery. The staff, in a word, is terrible. The constantly give me attitude and vibes of snobbery and arrogance. Maybe it's because I'm obviously not a local, drove a car instead of riding my bicycle to the brewery, and don't have a beard that they are disgusted by me - I'm not sure. But the people I was with, and others I have talked to since visiting have agreed with my opinion. I'm sure many will dismiss this review as whining, but after three seperate occasions of leaving Odell with a metaphorical bad taste in my mouth I felt compelled to write this. On this most recent occasion, they were having their St. Lupulin release party so the brewery was packed. My friends and I sat outside, and after finishing my first beer I decided to get another. I noticed a few handfuls of people looking at the merchandise, but in my opinion were not acting as if they were in any sort of line to get a beer. I approached the bar to order, when the staff member came over from what he was doing and immediately instructed me to go to the back of the line. As I turn around a notice a group of 5 - 10 people walk into the entrance and begin to form a line. I attempted to explain that there was no one in line when I approached the bar (knowing full well this guy had no way of seeing this as he was tending to something else behind the bar) but my explaination was dismissed as he kept repeating that I needed to go to the back of the line. Annoyed, I obliged and waited my turn. When I finally get up to the bar I was able to order my beer, and also ordered a growler as a birthday present for someone. This time, the staff member was a bit more friendly as he offered to keep my growler in the fridge until I was ready to leave. Okay, great. Maybe they are redeeming myself. I paid for my beer and growler and went back to hang out with my friends outside. A little later I decided I'd get one more beer, and get my growler. I grabbed a cool looking shirt as well, since Odell does have some really great Colorado themed logos/merchandise. I got up to the counter, handed over my shirt, ordered a beer and asked for my growler. I was then given my receipt for $45. Uh...what? $45 for a shirt and a beer? No way. I tried to ask the staff member about the charge, explaining that I distinctly remember paying for the beer and growler earlier. He instantly dismissed my concern saying my tab was open. Feeling very skeptical, but also pressured with loud music and a long line behind me, I foolishly ignored my gut instinct to ask for an itemized receipt. Sure enough, I've checked my bank account and have two seperate charges that total to amount much higher than what I bought. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind I was overcharged. I really am not sure why I'm writing this review other than to vent my frustration. Odell will still make great beer, people will still buy it and the brewery will continue to be successful. I just want people who are reading these reviews to be prepared whenever they visit the taproom in Fort Collins. If you are going to Fort Collins and want a 'brewery experience' more than to just drink beer, then go around the corner to the New Belgium.

Odell is my favorite brewery ever. It just blows it's so far away and their beer isn't available here in TN. The taproom is amazing and the brewery tour is a blast. They have an awesome patio to enjoy all of their delicious beers. There's usually a game of corn hole going on. My personal faves are the Cutthroat Porter and the IPA. The prices are amazing for the quality of beer you get. You can also purchase a growler and get it filled here. Hopefully one day they'll distribute back here in Knoxville, but until then I'll just have to get my fix on my yearly trips to Ft. Collins.

I spent over $50 on beer to go at the brewery just to drink for rest of my trip in Colorado. Their Bourbon Barrel Stout is in the top three greatest beers I have ever tasted in my entire life. The only problem I had in the end with coming here is that I spent only $50 in beer to go when I should've spent $100 to last me my entire trip. Out of all of the breweries we visited in the entire state of Colorado this was by far the best hands down. Their products blew everyone else right out of the water. Please, please, please bring your beers to Chicago!

Oh my.... this place is awesome, and I love their brews. I wish I could get Odell back in California, but not yet. So, when visiting Colorado, if you see Odell brews on the menu, be sure to try them out. If you are making your homage to visit some other larger breweries in the area (i.e. Anheuser Busch or New Belgium), make a point to visit Odell Brewing Co., you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed sampling several of the brews and the 50 Schilling and 5 Barrel Pale were my favs. The Levity and IPA were also good as were some of the seasonals.

Of all of the breweries that reside close together on Lincoln Avenue, including New Belgium, Fort Collins and Funkwerks, I would have to say Odell was my favorite. I like the design of the tasting room. The tour guide was very informative, the outdoor seating where the food truck pulls up was awesome and, of course, most importantly they make fantastic beer. The 90 Shilling is my all time favorite. I also enjoyed the Red and Lugene, the milk stout. Judging by how crowded the tasting room gets on a Saturday afternoon, I would say a lot of people share my opinion.

Odell has one of the nicer tasting rooms you're going to find in a brewery. With a massive bar, awesome woodcuts of the logos of their -you guessed it- woodcut series hung high on the walls, and a really neat area they have set up for brewery merchandise as well. It's a very roomy place, and wasn't too busy when we were there so we got a good, high top table for ourselves and sat down with a couple of their tasting platters. I really enjoy Odell's offerings, especially some of the ones that I couldn't get back home in bottles they had put in with their regulars. The people were pretty friendly as well and the prices were reasonable, although not the cheapest you're going to find. It was one of the breweries on our trip that has stuck in my mind the most and I'm always happy to buy from them because of this.

This was such an enjoyable experience! This brewery has the best bang for your buck. We got the sampler with 6 as well as the one with 4 and loved it all. I enjoy the patio here, it is social and tons of fun to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Odell Brewing Company I've been told by the locals is the place most of them like to hang out. The beers are fantastic, I'm a huge fan. Good location, ample parking, microbeer samplers, and friendly service all make this a place I'd hang out regularly too if I lived around that area! it's a great place to sit outside and chat with a friend and enjoy some rockin' local beers.

This is a pretty well know brewery located in Colorado but I was very surprise by the lackluster appeal of their brews. They had three taster flights. Quite a bit of brews but nothing was that fantastic. However from the looks of it, it seems to have a lot of beer fans in Colorado. I just wanted more from a place that is that well known. Maybe it just meets the demands of the masses?

My first visit to Odell brewery. Always been a fan of some of their beers and the flights we ordered were no exception. Missed out on a tour but enjoyed an extended visit in the tap room / patio area listening to live contemporary bluegrass. Very cool vibe. Look forward to a tour next time I'm in town.

Odell's was great! Friendly staff, great pricing (I chose a beer flight - Yum!). Get beer flights, single glasses, and a great variety of brews not available in stores. They also have lots of gear for sale - shirts, hats, tanks. People were having fun playing bags outside although we didn't partake but it looks like some fun outside seating as well. The brewery tour was short and it's smaller than some other breweries we've taken tours of, but the staff seems very knowledgable and very friendly. Great place to visit!!

ODell is the classic Colorado brewery. They make a range of beers very well. Their Cutthroat Porter is a wonderful cold weather beer. Their rotating IPAs are usually pretty solid too. St. Lupulin was very well-balanced. Mycercenary, yuck. There is such a thing as too much hops. I love the tap room space. It is inviting and friendly. The kind of place where you might be tempted to hang out all day. The best part, I think, is that they offer a program where you create the recipe and they brew a batch of beer for you. They even offer it in their tap room and you get a keg to take home! They did this for a friend of mine who recently lost his twin brother. He made a beer to honor his brother called "Sun's Up". During the tapping party, all of his friends and family were invited. This event was really special to my friend. Yea, Odell - a brewery with a heart!

Another one of my local favorites. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for? The beer is amazing, the new renovation is beautiful, and a friendly staff make this place into the great brewery that it is. Also, there is always new and creative beers to try

Odell's beer is great. I know Ft Collins has a lot of brewery tours, some better than theirs but its worth checking out sometime. This place should be summed up in one word "Quality"

This place just cranks out great beer. The brewery always has a positive and fun atmosphere and I love the addition of rotating food trucks outside where you can grab a quick, tasty bite to eat while you enjoy your latest Odell's creation. Their Tree Shaker IPA brewed with peaches from the western slope is one of the best beers I've ever tasted -- if you can find a bottle at the store, buy it immediately because it won't last long. If you don't find one this year, you can't go wrong with a 5 Barrel.

This is one of my favorite breweries in Colorado, and had the honor of providing the first keg of beer (90 Shilling) for our new home kegerator earlier this year! We visited this brewery during their Twitterbrew release party for Blackbird. It was cool that they allowed voting on the name and label online. We took a fun free tour and tried many samples. Though they weren't free, we were given many other free tastes to try once we ordered our first few. The people pouring beer were quite chatty in spite of the party currently going on and the big crowd. They were eager to hear our likes and dislikes, and pour more samples accordingly. And they have compostable cups! All breweries need to get it in gear with these! I liked most of the beers I tried, especially the Levity Amber, a double IPA (I normally hate IPAs) and an oatmeal stout. Great place to visit, worth the drive from Denver.

So it's my 100th yelp review and it had to be a good one. Of course I saved it for one of my fav past times...drinking. I love Odells beer to begin with so I thought it would be fun to head up to see there new expanded facility. Given it was a Tuesday and the place was dead. I got a sampler of there "seasonal" beers and had fun with it, nothing too crazy but all really great tastes. I brought my friend who's not a beer drinker but loves Easy Street and he raved over all of his sampler choices as well. The tour was short but really cool. We had some hardcore beer drinkers/ brewers so they made it a little more interesting. But overall I would have to recommend this place. Totally awesome, locally brewed beer.

I enjoy going to Odell's not only for their beer but they also have an outdoor patio which is enjoyable to sit on in the summer! I went on the tour a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it and learned a lot about beer. The staff has always been very friendly to me! I think going to Odell's is worth your time!

Odells is in the midst of a massive expansion - flipping the parking lot to the west side of the building, and quadrupling the size of the tasting room. Went up last weekend my the boys on the bikes for the tapping of their new Red Ale - incredible. They also had a live band and local soup n' salad joint Spoons on site with a taster of their special Cheddar Beer Cheese soup with Odells Red Ale - so hard not to like it. Surface of the sun hot, but a nice treat that really complimented the beer. Had the pilot sampler - which is 6 special brews in taster size glasses (adds up to about a pint and a half. Town Pump Pale Ale was my fav. Parking sucks as they continue on the expansion but the gal at the counter says they're on target for a finish date of late February. Plenty of bike rack space though. We'll be back soon - can't wait to see the place after the reno.

Huge tasting room with tons of options (and oddly a fairly large merchandise section). We absolutely fell in love with a super coconuty dark (I made it a word) and a vanilla porter. Unfortunately some of our favorites were brewery or growler only. Bummer dude.

Pretty Darn good is how I would describe the Odell Brewing Company. Though there was a mix up of sampler trays, however I cannot stay angry at them. I ordered their deluxe pilot tray ( the pilot tray is filled with experimental beers) and got something else (I believe it was the "normal" tray). The building in which Odell is suited is not very large I was surprised it was not larger. The taproom is cozy for such a well known and well regarded brewery. The service like the beer at Odell is very good. I would recommend the Myrcenary IPA as well as the walking tour. Odell Brewery it is a good place to kill time should you find yourself in Fort Collins. P.S. Odell offers discounts to holders of American Home Brewing Association membership cards so \m/.

Hands down..the best brewery in town! It was everyone in our group favorite brewery. It's like fast food but with beer! You quickly order and quickly get your beer in a very classy beer tasting plate! The wooden "plate" comes with a brief description of the beers and the prices are very reasonable, like $4-6 for 5 samples. There is also plenty of room to sit inside or outside. The staff was super nice and we just loved the place!

5 star everything. Everything was flavorFUL. LOVE love LOVE. Sweet teaser trays at an awesome 4 dollar price. Buy one of these bad boys and get a $4 off $10 voucher and use it to purchase some of their cool merchandise. I really love this place...and I really love their beer.

When I think of beer in Fort Collins, Odells and New Belgium come to mind. These two are the backbone of some of the most amazing beers to come out of Colorado, and truthfully, the entire U.S. I'm a big fan of Easy Street Wheat and the 90-Shilling. Isolation Ale in the winter is always superb. As for their location, it is on the north side of Fort Collins and is definitely worth a trip. They have some great items for sale and you can sample your heart out.

I had a great time touring the Odell Brewing Company. It is a neat little brewery tucked away from any hustle and bustle, but there is plenty going on inside. Our guide was awesome--friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and started off the tour with some beer sampling instead of making us wait til the end! How thoughtful... I was a tour guide for 3 years, maybe it would have helped my participants laugh at my corny jokes more had I plied them with beer prior to the tour. I was also really impressed to find out about their green initiatives. All of their delivery trucks run on biodiesel and they recycle 98% of their hops/barley waste. Now if only I could find some Odell beers in TX!

Odell has always been my top favorite Fort Collins brewery. Small brewery in Fort Collins with a recent addition. My most recent brewery tasting was of the Co-pilot six tray sampler. It included Rocky Mountain Goat, Cask Green Chili Pale Ale, mountain Standard Ale, Indian Barley Wine, Strong Gold and Bourbon Barrel Stout. Yuuum to the yum. What a great way to spend a Saturday.

If you're visiting New Belgium, there is absolutely no reason that you shouldn't also stop in at Odell's! Yes, the beer isn't free, but the purchase price can either go to charity or getting some schwag to brag that you were at the brewery. When I was here, it was clearly being renovated. Our samples were presented nicely, and you for sure get a good sample of what they have to offer which was all pretty tasty to me. I even liked some of the darker beers (not a usual thing for me). The staff was super welcoming and helpful. I'm a fan!

So, I lived in FC for several years, and always enjoyed the delicious and interesting American-style beers from Odell. But now, their expanded/updated tasting room really elevates the whole experience. They totally rocked my face off on my last trip through the area! There is now a proper parking lot, and way more outdoor seating. The tasting room itself has also been enlarged and redecorated to be more consistent with their branding, and is absolutely beautiful (in that whole 'I love drinking beer in a relaxed environment' sort of way)! They also now have three tasting trays to choose from (each with six tasters). The Classic tray ($4) features their most popular beers and is great if you are new to their beers. The Pilot tray ($4) has come more unique beers that are not really distributed but that still have a wide appeal. The Co-Pilot tray ($8) is definitely more unusual (double IPAs, super high alcohol beers and other highly unique and small-batch beers) and probably is best for serious beer-nerds. As always, the tasting fee can later be applied to the purchase of Odell merchandise (basically free pint glasses, or discounted t-shirts, hats, etc), or can be donated to a charity. I love this concept. Also, the staff are super helpful and nice. Overall, the best brewery and tasting room in FC!

Decided to take a detour here after having their sampler at the Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, CO. YUM. Their beer is so good. The IPA was our favorite. The tour was fun and informational. Wish we could've carried some onto the plane to bring home! Enjoy it while you can!

Did the whole tour and sampled all the beers with my boy friend last weekend. I have to say that I wasn't really looking forward to it because I'm a girl and I don't drink much beer. However, I found it totally interesting and the beer was actually good! Welcome to Fort Collins right? I think my fav is got to be Easy Street with a lemon slice. All around a really cool experience.

We got here too late for a tour; They are at 1, 2, 3 o'clock daily. But their tap room was still open. On Wednesdays, they host a live band keep the tap room open a bit later. We had a flight of 5 beers for $4. When you buy a flight, you get a token worth $4 off any $10 non-beer purchase. If you decide not to use it, you can put it in a donation jar that benefits local charities. The tap room was very lively and had a great feel to it. Great place to hang out for an afternoon. The beers were tasty as well. Ft. Collins has lots of wonderful microbreweries, and this is definitely one of them!

Best beer in Fort Collins, best beer in Colorado. That is saying something. 90 Schilling is nothing short of amazing. I just hauled a 1/2 barrel 1300 miles to Seattle for my wedding because I was not getting married without it. Ruined a lot of my friends day since they cannot buy 90 Schilling in Washington. I got them hooked and then left them hanging. The brand new facility is amazing and they regularly have live music. This is a "must do" in Fort Fun.

As children, we've all watched Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. The most memorable part of the movie for me is during the tour of the factory where the kids walk into the Chocolate Room, surrounded by trees made of taffy that grow jelly apples, bushes that sprout lollipops, mushrooms that spurt whipped cream, pumpkins filled with sugar cubes, jelly bean stalks, and the delicious chocolate river. What a wondrously beautiful room with every sugary delight a kid could dream of. In reality, the closest tour we have like that for adults would be a brew tour of any of the local craft breweries we have here in Fort Collins. I love beer just as much as I love candy (or should I say chocolate), and walking into the brewery, surrounded by barrels with aromas of hops, malts and barley wafting through the air, brings about that mouth-watering excitement, especially for me. If you like beer, and not just beer, but good beer, Fort Collins is the place to be. The craft brewing industry is growing rapidly, hitting an intense stride with it's epicenter is right here in our lovely city. Each brewery is adjusting to that growth by expanding with additions and modifications to accommodate all of these beer-loving Coloradoans. Odell Brewing Company just finished their expansion, essentially doubling in size. We were there to celebrate that achievement at their re-opening party with a fun tour and a few beers. A few things that make Odell's stand out from the rest is the use of dry hopping with full-flowered hops, which increases the aroma and flavors of the beers and their 5 barrel system and pilot system, which was used to create smaller batches of beer to play with flavor profiles. This ability to focus on creativity resulted in many award winning beers (they seriously have a slew of awards), like their 5 Barrel Pale Ale and my favorite, The IPA. As we sat the in the gentle sun in the crisp spring air, sipping on these amazing craft beers, I felt giddy that living in Fort Collins, we have so many craft beers available to us. This was just like visiting The Chocolate Factory, but here you walk in smelling the hops and barley, surrounded by IPA's with grapefruit finishes, Porters with hints of chocolate and coffee, Stouts oozing caramel and vanilla, and Ales with dry-hopped floral aromas. A beer tour is certainly a place to experience those libatious fantasies.

Beer lovers unite! Odell rocks. I can't tell you anything but to go there and taste their great beer. You don't need a reservation for their daily tours and the people who work there are friendly and fun. I also like the artwork on their labels. That's just an added bonus. We bought a tacker to bring back to Missouri with us.

This craft brewery makes the BEST beer in Northern Colorado, and possibly the best beer in the country. They also have a fantastic tasting area with live music, a great patio, and exceptional service. My personal favorites on tap are Levity (amber ale), Easy Street (unfiltered American wheat), and 5 Barrel Pale Ale. They also have some great merch as well.

I really, really love so, so many of Odell's beers that it pains me to give less than a stellar review. They brew with an amazing sense of balance and just enough subtlety of experimentation. And it's not that I've ever had a really bad time there. I've had many good times. I just haven't ever had a really great time. The aesthetic of the brewery as a whole is beautiful, and I'm sure that it will be even more so once their expansion is complete. But my favorite aspect of visiting breweries of equal or smaller size than this one is being able to talk to the staff and feel their passion for what they do. I thought for a long time that their system of ordering was the main reason I was never able to do that here: you stand in one line to order beer, then stand in another line at the end of the bar to receive it. You can't sit at the bar at all. Again, not a bad experience, just not extraordinary either. I thought I would rectify that one day by taking a tour, hoping to learn some cool stuff from some cool people who work at an amazing place. Instead, I found the tour kind of lackluster. The information was there. Our tour guide pointed out tanks, talked about pilot systems, packaging, and future plans...but the whole time, she seemed bored, a little bit as if it was beneath her to talk about all of this to our group. Maybe it was just a bad day. It's not as if I'll stop going--the beer is still fantastic!--but now I can't decide whether I want to avoid taking the tour again at all costs, or try to get on another one in order to rewrite my memory of this last time.

I'm kind of obesessed with Odell Brewing Company. I love all of the incredible Colorado microbreweries, but, in my opinion, Odell takes the award for the best overall brewery. Their Mycenary double IPA is one of my all-time favorite beers. I also love their regular IPA, Moutain Standard double black IPA, Red Ale, and St. Lupelin. But what I think puts Odell over the top as my favorite brewery is their Pilot System -- in which Odell allows all of its employees to brew their own unique beers in pilot batches. Odell then will put these pilot beers on tap at the brewery and have debut parties for various pilot batches. I took a tour of the brewery a few months ago (which was great in and of itself), and it was fascinating to hear the various employees talking passionately about the experimental pilot beers that they had created and were in the midst of brewing. The beauty of this Pilot System is that I believe that it cultivates incredible creativity and inspiration amongst its employees, which I believe is reflected in Odell's limited releases -- which are consistently unique, innovative, and outstanding. I was recently blown away by Friek oak aged sour beer, which had an incredible tart, sourness from local cherries and raspberries being added during the brewing process. I have also loved the Deconstruction, Pond Hopper, and Foot Print beers. I am dying to try the Meddler, which is a sour oak aged brown ale. Whenever I have any these Odell limited release beers, I am just blown away by the creativity, uniqueness, and innovativeness that goes into each release. For always pushing the envelope and allowing inspiration to create new beer wonders, Odell -- you are my favorite.

I love Odell-- especially as someone who can't get it because I live in PA, it's always a treat. They have a lot of history, but aren't as large as their FC counterparts such as NB, though in my opinion, their beer is superior. The thing that prevented it from being 5 stars was that I found the brewery tour to just be kind of "meh." I understand that it is a functioning, producing brewery, but it was so loud that my companions couldn't hear/understand a single thing the tour guide was saying. I loved the little touches like the "big ass fans" and seeing the barrel room (want...) but the lack of hearing was a problem. I never realized how eco-friendly they are, and so that was a really cool thing to learn about. The tap room is awesome-- 3 flights available, and for each flight you get a chip for discounted merch. We sat outside on the porch, surrounded by puppies and happy people. The staff is super nice, and you can tell they love their jobs. It's a very enjoyable place in Fort Collins, and definitely should be checked out and supported!

Being from Chicago, I am a huge Goose Island fan, but I am so lucky my grandpa lives in Fort Collins so I can crush on Odell Brewing Company, too! I just discovered Odell's on my recent visit to Colorado and I cannot even begin to tell you what fun we all had. Order up a taster sampler (or two, I tried the regular and the premium) and enjoy the awesomeness that is their beer. The day we were there a Bluegrass band from Kentucky was playing and I grabbed two of their CDs. The staff is extremely friendly and patient with all our questions. My only complaint? They don't distribute in Illinois. I can't wait to go back!

We had no complaints at the Odell tap room. Continuing our tour of front-range craft breweries, friends took us to Odell on a sunny Monday afternoon. The design and presentation of the facility is really top notch. Large indoor bar and seating area, ample outdoor patio under covered canvas arches. Very well laid out. The beer itself was worth the trip. We tried a couple tasting flights and were not disappointed. The samplers are truly the best bang for your buck (at $4 for six). Good IPA's and a strong Porter, but my favorite was their flagship 90 Shilling. You cannot get this good of an ale back east.

Incredible selection of beers, but the staff aren't extremely helpful and friendly. Drink the double IPA, Mercenary, and have another.

As far as I'm concerned, Odell blows NBB out of the water. Everything about this place was awesome. The service was better. The beer was better. The regulars on tap plus a shitload of pilot/one-off stuff. Multiple options for sampler trays. Just about everything was available to go in 32 & 64oz growlers. Plus tons of other Odell beer for sale The patio was awesome. The 2012 Small Batch Fest was a complete and total shitshow (but I'm not reflecting that in my rating). Odell is a must in FC.

Great beer, a nice relaxed drinking area, friendly staff, and cool merchandise. On our whirlwind trip through Ft. Collins we found ourselves heading to Odell's after being horrible disappointed by New Belgium Brewery. The tester's here aren't free like they are at NBB, but well worth the cost. Teh beer is excellent, the tester trays come in two variates - the standard and the nitro. We sampled both...heavily. I can't recommend the Levity Amber enough. Parking wasn't a problem, the folks behind the bar were great and super friendly, and the whole thing was a breath of fresh air after dealing with the bullshit that is NBB's experience. If you're in Ft. Collins, I'd say you have to stop by Odell's and try a tester or two. or three. then a pint.

Very nice brewery with a lot of my friends working there! Beer is great and seating is abundant. They have a range of beers but their stouts and porters are my favorite.

I can't review the tour because I didn't go on one but their beer was fantastic and serving pretzels and peanuts for free! Also amazing!

Great beer! fun brewery, get a sampler if you have any doubts about what to get! seems like all the hip kids hang out here too.

While you do have to pay for samples, it's a nominal amount and you can redeem it at the gift shop. Hey, it means the freebie smoochers will go to the other place and crowd it up while the true tasters of beer will always come here! Great offerings in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Even though I drink mostly beers from other Colorado breweries I always seem to come home with merchandise from O'Dell. Their IPA is amazing and available in 6-packs in my home state now.

I love Odells. I mean it. I could drink five barrel or easy street all day long. Thank god that I do not live in Fort Collins - if I did, I'd be an alcohol-ess lugging around her beer belly. Of course, I'm glad [or mixed feelings anyhow] my boyfriend *does* live in Fort Collins, so I can indulge myself with this carbonated goodness once every few months. I miss it when I'm dreaming of the Rockies in my bed in Harlem. I love the beer, I love the vibe, and I love the staff. Everyone is upbeat, socially conscious, and beer savvy. If you take the tour, and ask a technical question, they will answer on one foot without hesitation. And, go there to drink too. Sure, it's cheaper to order an Odells pint at any local FC bar, but they donate a large percentage to charity. For instance, if you buy a sampler [four dollars], they give you a three dollar token, which you can use towards buying merchandise or just donate it to the cause of the time. How cool is that? My one qualm: ENOUGH WITH THE NITROS ALREADY! Yes, nitros can be cool, but this season was a bit nitro-crazed. By the way, as a disclaimer: on one foot is an expression, although I bet if you asked them to stand on one foot and answer your question, they might. They're just that cool.

The new expanded Tap Room is great! High points of Odell Brewing Tap Room: Live Music many days of the week Patio seating New Tap Room has more seating in high and low tables, as well as benches All the favorite brews, plus their specials you can't get anywhere else Hand drawn and nitro options available for some beers Special events often include local cheese or food from local restaurants (like bbq!) Consistent staff that is very helpful Free samples Full size glasses of beer for purchase Sampler trays for purchase Bottled beer, growlers, and kegs for purchase They have rootbeer now! Clean, ecologically sound, all around great place to go Of course they have brewery tours, and other logo merchandise for sale.

The staff was very friendly. They offer up tours at 1,2, and 3 PM; first come, first serve. If you need a fun trip to do with people form out-of-town I high suggest you visit Odell. Fantastic beers.

Odells is a great place that we love to visit when we are up in Ft. Collins. I would give them more stars because their IPA is the best ever. However, on our last visit we discovered a really poor customer service policy. They close on most days quite early and on the weekends as well. 7 p.m. on Saturdays. They have a great patio, and gladly serve you a beer at 6:59 p.m. You are so glad to get your favorite beer, but once outside or inside, they send a guy out called Captain Buzz Kill to make you guzzle your beer and leave not long after 7 p.m. Now, most places, they let you drink it before closing. They pretty much pushed folks out. Sad, to do that. They guy actually says he is Captain Buzz Kill. Really poor customer service for 7 p.m. on a beautiful Saturday evening on the deck. Just go early, you don't want Captain Buzz Kill ruining a good time at 7 p.m. Please, let people drink what they purchase, and give them a chance to enjoy it for a bit before you push them out.

Fantastic Brewery! Some of the best beer in town. I definitely recommend trying there tap room exclusives and follow their social media outlets to keep track of their new releases. This place gets pack though on the weekends. I recommend trying it out during a happy hour time after work during the week over the weekend crowd. Kids and pets are both welcome but this can cause some distractions for the guests outside. Remember to set a tab at the bar. You will be able to skip the long entrance line and head straight to the side bar or to the main bar where the beer is poured.

For some delicious beer, hit up this brewery. Odell's is definitely popular, so expect big crowds in the early evening. At first there were no tables out on the patio, which was fine for us as we came in with our dog. We did end up snagging a table for us and our two friends after about 15 minutes. Their outdoor space is awesome for a sunny evening with friends, and they have live music most nights as well. They did have a food truck parked out on the patio as well so you can purchase snacks if you need a pre-dinner snack. All the beers that we tasted were awesome. They know what they are doing! After one pint I wasn't sure that I wanted a whole pint, and they do half pours! It was perfect. Expect crowds, mostly locals and some tourist (like us), dogs, and children. It's a popular place for a reason, and definitely worth checking out!

We had awhile to kill before catching our flight home so we decided to hit up a couple of different local brewery's. Odell's was our first stop in the area. The location is beautiful all stone and tree's everywhere. Another things that's awesome about this place is every month they choose a local charity and donate all their tips. It's hard to find any business there. Also once they have an associate that has worked for them for a few years they take them on a paid trip to England. How cool is that?? So it was pretty early we got there right when they opened. There is a cool little shop inside with all of their merchandise, we bought a couple of glasses. Here's where the one less star comes in. The chick that helped us at the bar was really kind of grumpy. She handed us a menu and we started to order our flights from the different selections. We must have been confused or something cause she said they didn't do it that way but she would cause it was slow. Ummmmmmm ok? Anyway we took our flight and headed outside to sit on the patio which was great open space lots of chairs warm breeze. There was a guy just hanging out cooking hot dogs on a little cart. So I would come here again and again if I didn't live so far and the only reason they are receiving that lack of one star is for bad attitude. Cheers & Happy Eating

This is my favorite brewery to stop by when I'm visiting Ft. Collins! They always have an amazing selection of beers. The tasting room is very roomy, and you can't beat the atmosphere of the large patio on a sunny Colorado day. The gift shop is shockingly well priced, it's a great place to grab a gift for the fellow beer lover in your life. I usually order the sampler because they have such a new, wide variety of beer that they don't distribute each time I go and it's very well priced. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is phenomenal-- there's a reason this place is the best!

Fantastic brewery! Outdoor space is plentiful and the staff keeps the line for Odell's high quality craft beers moving. You have several options of "trays" (flights) to choose from -- pilot, local, classic -- and each comes with a descriptive card to explain the beers. The prices are more than reasonable with 6 sampler glasses included on a tray for $6-8 (depending on the style you choose). We arrived around 5 p.m. on a Saturday and missed the last brewery tour of the day, but I've been on plenty of tours and wasn't too upset. The food truck wasn't great the day we were here but there are yard games to entertain yourself and pooches are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the outside areas. Clean inside and out. I don't live near Ft Collins, and it's a hike for me to get there, but I would make Odell's my regular spot if I did!

What a great place to enjoy a nice Colorado afternoon! Came here on Saturday on our 2nd stop of the "beer-muda triangle" lol! This place looks brand new and has a huge line to enter during busy times, but it moves fast! The inside is huge and features and even bigger outdoor "backyard." We came last weekend and easily found a spot outside where we could enjoy our $4 beers and people watch. Dogs are allowed outside and they played awesome music like 90s hip hop and old pop classics. I had a great time here and by the looks of it so did the rest of the crowd which included families, college kids, and bachelorette parties. Proud to be a ram, check this place out!!!!

Oh Odell, people should write songs about you and all your glory. This is my favorite brewery that makes my favorite beer. They do it right because they don't know how to do it wrong. The outdoor patio is the perfect place to kick back and drink all day.

Seems this is the spot to be once the work day is done and the sun is out and shining. Ventured off after work and was not disappointed to what I found. The parking lot was full of cars and the bike racks were almost to capacity, so all great signs to a beer adventure that will not be disappointing. This brewery has been on my list to visit once I was given the opportunity, so luckily for me I had the chance during a business trip. The tap room is huge and there was not an issue of finding a seat. As you make your way through the tap room you find yourself out in the equally big patio area, with plenty of seating and usually a food truck or cart within eye sight distance. Hands down, this place was amazing. Now comes the hard part, what do I get to drink. With a great selection of taps to choose from I decided to venture down the route of doing one of their flights (if memory serves me right they had either 4 or 5 different flights to choose from). I was not disappointed at all. For what seemed to be a steal of a deal I had the chance to get my hands on the local tray and try 5 of their great tasting beers. For some reason beer just taste better (guess it's a mental thing) when you have it from the tap room and not just on tap in a bar a state away. Great friendly staff with an amazing tap room. If you are in the area or thinking about visit Fort Collins anytime soon, add this to your list. It's well worth the visit and you won't disappointed for what awaits you.

The craft beer options are really plentiful in Colorado, but I had multiple friends tell me that I had to check out Odell on a recent trip. Based on all of the positive chatter, we decided to make it a part of our Fort Collins agenda. I sure am glad we did! This is a very large brewery and tasting room. There are a lot of places to sit and each room has it's own charm. There are also board games available and I believe that they have food trucks come in, too. There were quite a few beers on tap so I decided to go with a tasting to sample a few. Others at my table got different tastings and we got to try quite a few of their beers. Just another excellent Colorado craft brewery. I would surely hang out here if I lived in the area!

This has to be my favorite brewery in Fort Collins. What I love about Odell's taproom is that you can buy beers here that you can't buy anywhere else! They always have wonderful seasonal offerings and it's a great place to hang out with friends in the afternoon. The patio at Odell's is a little slice of heaven!

We went to Odell brewing for the brewery tour. We had time to kill beforehand so we tried two flights: the pilot and the classic tray. The classics didn't strike the right chord with us, but the pilot selections were more on point. It was the Five Year Ryed Double Rye IPA that made us swoon. Now that was a seriously good beer. We immediately debated on ways to smuggle some back with us, but it's not bottled and a growler seemed risky in our luggage so we left empty handed, but the tour provided us with loads of knowledge. Odell's has a great facility. Every detail is well thought out - they even kept future growth in mind. They give back to the community and they do their best to leave the smallest footprint possible. They don't pasteurize their beers so we're not likely to ever see them in Vegas, but I appreciate what they're doing. The have a great pilot program for research and development; they're able to make small batches and really let their creativity run wild. I admire this. Judging by the Double Rye IPA, the pilot system turns out some really great brews. I'm intrigued to see what's on the rotation next visit.

Really nice brewery/tap room setup, lots of great beers .. friendly warm enviroment. Odell makes some great beers and this is one I would definitely hit if I was planning a day visiting Fort Collins breweries. Cinnsation Ale was being tapped when we stopped in and that was interesting, not too cinnamony or bunny - but a nice slightly sweet ale with hints of cinnamon. Friendly place and lots of stuff in the gift shop.

Great tasting room and outdoor seating area. Many types of beers and several different flights to choose from. This is a review for the tasting room only, I did not take the brewery tour. We stopped by on a Monday after attempting to stop by the New Belgium brewery. New Belgium is closed on Mondays and Odell has a great Yelp rating and is two minutes away, so we decided to stop by for a tasting. coloradoan.com has a good brewery guide and rates Odell as the best tasting room and patio (Google "Northern Colorado Brewing Guide"). Odell has both inside and outside seating. There are PLENTY of places to sit at Odell. We weren't hungry, but a vendor was outside cooking hotdogs. There are 3 or 4 flights to choose from. Order your flight at the bar and pick it up around the corner. The basic flight has mostly IPAs. I tried the Pilot sampler, which had a decent mix of wheat, ales and a nice oatmeal stout. Odell has good beer, and there were perhaps only one or two beers that I really didn't care for. Although I was in town for only a few days, I did notice that Odell is a local favorite and tasted Odell beers that were offered at my hotel and restaurants we visited. My favorite Odell beers are the 90 Shilling Ale and Isolation Ale. The next night at a different venue, one of the servers mixed me an "I-95", which is a blend of Odell IPA, Odell 90 Shilling Ale, and Odell 5 Barrel Pale Ale. The Odell IPA is a bit too hoppy for my tastes, but this mix created an outstanding brew. Recommended. This is a great place to stop by, relax, and have some good beer.

O'Dell never fails to deliver..they are my number one favorite brewery in Colorado! ! From their IPA to their Stouts...I have tasted every experimental hops they have had over the last 7 months...all FANTASTIC! It's a chill place with cool gear..nice employees and just a great atmosphere overall....winter to summer...AWESOME

Very friendly staff & cozy rustic atmosphere. Tip for travelers, no e-cigs allowed inside or out...CO ruling. Suck. Otherwise a great stop for local brews. Watch out for Friek in October, it's so awesome. Love their Brazzle too.

Odell Brewing Company mixes Colorado and Beer culture with a ease. The experience that you get at their brewery is thought out and tasteful, while not straying too much from what makes them unique. Keep an eye out for their unique specials like the pickles steeped in their beer mash.

Probably my favorite brewery I've been to in Fort Collins to date. The staff is awesome, the ambiance is great, it's super easy to bike to or bring your dog and the beers are some of the best I've tasted. Anything by Odell is a fail safe when picking up a 6 pack at the store too. I highly recommend checking this brewery out if visiting or even living in the Fort Collins area. A+!

Great place to learn about Fort Collins and the brewing process. You don't even have to make a reservation months ahead of time like at new Belgium. Our guide was humorous and engaging. One of the better brewery tours I've been to

Descriptive phrase: large family-friendly hangout (with beer). Fort Collins is bursting at the seams with breweries, and Odell is definitely one to stop at. The ordering process is a little convoluted, but when you can get 7 of their Classic beers on a flight for something like $4 (and two other seasonal-beer flights for around $7 each), I'm not complaining. We took our board outside, which featured their Classics: East Street Wheat, Levita Amber Ale, 5 Barrel Pale Ale, 90 Shilling Ale, IPA, Cutthroat Porter, Loose Leaf. These beers, definitely their most-approachable, were good. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but they were all solid. And I'm sure one of their other 20ish beers, most on tap too, could satisfy a more discerning palate. The outdoor patio area, though, was something special. It was large, with many different areas and levels. From the stone-seating area, to the grassy knoll, to the food truck space, to the corn hole and music stage, a lot of thought and effort went into crafting a great (family-friendly) hangout area. In fact, a worker stopped to talk to us for a long time about how their mission is less about becoming the biggest brewer around and more about being a local establishment with ties to the community. Please move to my neighborhood, Odell.

If Odell releases a new beer, you can bet I buy it within a week of its release. The brewery's year-round offerings are regularly making their way into my fridge. This is one of the breweries that does little wrong, pumping out quality brews continuously and always finding ways to be creative and interesting in their offerings. At the brewery, I was able to order a flight of about 6 beers for $8. Pours seemed to be about four ounces, but I don't quite recall. As I usually do, I ordered a bunch of the seasonal and more exclusive beers that I wouldn't find back in New Mexico. This meant I got a pour of a gose, chocolate milk stout, keller pils (all which I've never seen outside of the brewery), plus the Trellis, Double Pilsner, and Myrcenary DIPA (all of which make their way to stores in NM). It was an exceptional lineup and exemplary of the range of beers that Odell produces. You get traditional German beers, Belgian brews, and beers reimagined or given the American touch. But the result is always great if not spectacular. Odell's space was open and spacious, including a large outdoor area with some grass that conveniently became the play area for my child and a number of other cool parent's kids. A food truck was on hand serving some delicious sandwiches and bites, and there was a stage and cornhole setup for those looking for some entertainment. An awesome touch were the firepits that must be a great place to gather in the colder months when you want to hang around, talk shit, and still have a good beer in your hand. I think I'd be hanging out here in the dead of winter if I lived in Fort Collins. Disclaimer: I have no idea how cold it gets here, so maybe I'd retract that statement after freezing my wee wee off trying to coolly sip a brew on a January night. I'd say New Belgium has better gear and schwag than Odell, but when it comes to the brews, I'd say only La Folie and Le Terroir from NB are in Odell's league. On space, both are about neck-and-neck. Service-wise, I'd say both have a few too many uppity white folk that for some reason chose to work in the service industry but seem perturbed about serving certain folk, particularly those for whom they can not seem to disguise their apparent contempt. In the end though, beer triumphs and much I can overlook for the sake of the perfection this place produces.

Interesting to come here and also to New Belgian because the founders, at one time, brewed together, or at least they knew of each other and you get two great beer places with different cultures, though similar core values. It was a snowy day and this place is a wonderfully larger bar/tasting room. I had a glass of their chocolate milk stout, which i had earlier in the day, and it was still delicious. I would certainly encourage everyone to stop here who is doing a tour of local breweries in the area, and there are a lot of them! They don't have a kitchen but I understand their is usually a food truck outside when the on-site bar is open. I would happily go back here again next time I am in town - hopefully not when it is snowing but maybe in he late spring or summer. :-0

Amazing. Great place to visit with the whole family. It was very large and had a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. We also bought the pickles that are available, I highly recommend them. We had the brombeere, it was a German wheat infused with black berries, very good and refreshing. This brewery also had a food truck which helps you stay longer.

Best in show in Colorado!!! Vying for the #1 spot in our top 3, I give it first and my hubby gives it second. :) delicious brews that are both hoppy without being bitter, and every beer has a distinct taste. Loved Loose Leaf (and you will too, if you're a fan of Lost Coast's Great White" and Lupulous! This is a beer spot not to be missed!

Being in Foco I wanted a beer. I got lost trying to Find a Brewery that is no longer there. So we stumbled in here. One of the servers has a sense of humor when you ask where the Bathroom is. And people who are offended need to lighten up. He was great and asking which beers I was into and delivered a Delicious Flight of Beer. They are also Renovating and Expanding. A Food truck is on the property. Im ok with People bringing in their dogs, but seeing Kids when im trying to sit out and enjoy a beer is weird. But to each there own.

This seems to be a Colorado favorite but I'm completely on board. They do have some beers I like or love (Myrcenary comes to mind) but they also have some misses. The last time we had a flight and I had a chance to try their Woodcut 8. I don't really like barleywines or barrel aged but this was one of the best beers I've had! I was ready to fill my growler until (as expected) I was told that wasn't possible. I've been here when it's cold and hot and in between and whether you're sitting on the patio or inside it always has a nice feel to it.

Best run tasting room in the city! I was blown away by the speed, professionalism, and quality of the entire process. Made me feel like I was at a tasting room and not a bar. Quick and convenient and no waiting for 10-20 minutes for a drink like some of the other places. The outdoor area is also incredible! I'll definitely be back when I am in town in the future.

I just finished writing a review about the FCB. I was very unimpressed. Then after leaving there, we found our way to Odell's. Complete change from everything at the other place. Loved Odell Brewing Co. The place is beautiful, warm and inviting. The staff were super friendly. The place was packed compared to where were just left from. The beer was tasty. I loved everything about this place, and like I said, I'm not a huge beer drinker. Sorry I wish I wasn't so picky..it's the hops I tell ya! But yes, we showed up kind of at the end of their evening and were pretty bummed we couldn't spend more time there, and super bummed we didnt go here first. We will definitely be back next time we're up in Ft Collins!

This is one of the larger (yet nicely small enough) breweries based in Ft Collins. It offers extensive inside and outside seating options for enjoying Odell brews. I'm partial to their massive patio area; bring our dog for some quality family time or cozy up alongside the fire pit. I learned it's not the usual popular flavors that attract the locals but rather the unusual, which Odell refers to as the Pilot System. Odell encourages their brewers to create new limited batch brews that are only poured in their popular tap room.

Absolutely my favorite brewery in Colorado. The tour is good, the staff is right on the money and the atmosphere is very hard to beat. Their gift area is perfectly supplied. Now to the beer: before going to Odell's I have to say they were already some of my favorite beers. Love the Trippel!!! However after going to Ft Collins Brewery, I have to say that Odell's is now my 2nd favorite. Hell NO that's not a knock on Odell's just a big plus for FCB. With that said, Odell's is far and away my favorite overall brewery, hands down. If FCB hires staff that gave a crap I would put them right up there. Summary: Don't skip Odell's.

Visited this place last fall and we had a blast, this brewery has a lot of room and a badass setup in general. We ordered several flights followed by 2 pints to begin our 1st brewery stop of the day. They had Hawaiian food truck parked outside that also was very good. We ran into a representative from this place in Boulder,Co at a fundraiser for the flood victims. He gave us shirts and hats and invited us to hang out with and him and his crew and made us feel really welcomed. I still where the hat to this day, thank you large bearded man from Odell's you help your brewery have two life long fans. Everyone is super jealous of my hat !

Great selection of beers here! Feel free to ask for a taste, a flight, or beer by the glass. They have tons of seating inside and alot of seating outside as well. While you order at the register, they give you your beers off to the side. It got kind of confusing since a few of the people around ordered the same thing. Not sure how they keep everything straight. Luckily it wasnt too crowded when we were here so it wasnt a problem. The grounds are beautiful too! Cant wait to come back!

No complaints. Some of my favorite beer and definitely a place to go if you have a group. I personally prefer smaller, more intimate locations/service but when you have a following like these guys you don't have much of a choice than to go big. Beer: Let's start here. If you don't know Odell, get to your nearest liquor store if you're not in Fort Collins (or here if you are). This place has some of the best brews, IMO. I love everything they do. I don't discriminate against any kind of beer, except IPAs. I just can't find one I actually enjoy the taste of -- UNTIL I tried their Myrcenary (a double IPA). Their 90 Shilling has been my long-time go-to, and I'm a big fan of their Cutthroat porter. Their samplers are really good deals, too. They have a classic (which only runs $4-$5) and the premium ($8). Oh, and their chocolate stout (Lugene) is delicious, too. I'll drink that for dessert any day of the week. Food: They don't actually serve food, but they did have a food truck in the back. It was a "link" truck -- so sausages or hot dogs, I'm guessing. We didn't make it that far though. Service: The people working are all friendly and knowledgeable. It's a little confusing for a first timer when ordering. They have a few registers but one has a sign over it, which made me think we had to order there. Not sure what the others are for. But then you pick up your drinks at the bar behind where you order. Atmosphere: It's a gorgeous building and location but much more ... commercial is maybe the word I'm looking for ... than some of the other places I've been to out here. It definitely has more of the "big" brewery feel to it, but it is gorgeous. The inside has lots of long tables (great if you have a big group) and a few smaller tables if you want to be exclusive. They DO allow dogs, which I thought was kind of cool. There were several children in here, which I always think is interesting but it's not your typical "bar" scene so I get it. It was too chilly for us to go outside, and we didn't really walk around much, but it did look nice out there. There's a small shop area where you can get their merch. We'll def be back.

I think Odell might be one of my favorite breweries I've visited!!! So where do I friggin start?? The brewery itself is a masterpiece. It is like a work of art- a work of art that conserves energy. Some examples are that their cooler lets cold air in front outside when the temp drops to 42 degrees, as well as reusing water for different things, and using natural light wherever possible. Now, they have obviously been brewing for an eternity, and they have earned everything with hard work and good beer. And oh, the beer. I tried 6 different beers, since you can opt for a very affordable tasting tray of different kinds. I got the pilot tray, and I liked 5 out of the 6 beers, and I had only tried 1 before going to the brewery. I highly recommend 90 Shilling, as well as their White IPA. They also had a food truck sitting outside, as well as a stage where I'm guessing they have live music from time to time. You sign up for the tours 30 minutes ahead of time, and I didn't make it to the counter in time, since they apparently fill up in seconds. The guy at the counter said to go anyway, since I only had a group of 2, which I greatly greatly appreciated. The tour was an appropriate length, and we got to see every part of the brewery. Also, the tour guide was super cute. To top everything off, they had a well-stocked merch room. At many breweries, I've found the best merchandise is often picked through, so you are left picking between 2 ugly-colored shirts if you want to buy one. I honestly wish I lived in Fort Collins, just so I could visit this brewery more often. During the tour, the guide said they added a cooler just to store beer for Texas distribution, so I will be looking for their beer when I'm out!

Food = ? Price = 5 (4 bucks for a flight of 5 beer samples... great!) Experience = 5 (the staff was great... gave us great local suggestions to try next.) All 5 sample beers under 60ibu... my kind of place!!! The artwork, metal work and wood carvings are beautiful and great design.

O'Dell brewery is a great place to take guests. There's always a food truck to try as you sit on their patio and try a beer flight. We always try the pilot beers - it's always a treat. The beer is always great- there's even housemade soda for your kids.

I was very impressed at the range of flavors these guys are able to produce through trying their pilot and co-pilot trays (the last one in the co-pilot tray will throw you for a loop with regards to how many flavors you can pile into one beer). My favorite is probably their garden ale. Be forewarned, these guys really like their pale ales and IPAs, so if you're not a fan of those, make sure you're choosy about what you want to taste. These guys have really nailed down the concept of what a tasting/tap room should be all about. Not only is there good beer (which is the most important requirement), they've also created a relaxed environment in which some food is available via food trucks (the 2 times we went, there was either a taco truck or a waffle lab truck) on the premise. At first I was going to give this place a 4 because it was solid. After visiting a few other breweries (including Equinox (fail), Funkwerks (solid), and Pateros (fail)), this place definitely stood out as tops among them. We didn't get to try New Belgium, but I have a hard time believing that they could do that much better than what Odell has done. Great job, and keep up the good brewing.

Super upset on my first and last visit here... It hurts to knock one of my states many local watering holes but I was letdown on several different things during my visit. Starters we walk in and walk around and look for a place to sit and it was packed with an extremely awesome outdoor area but it was full so we sat inside. (Not the bases for my two star review btw) as we come in there is a very unorganized line of people that was recognizable as a line at all. The cashier comes looks at me then jumps to the next person, does this 3 more times before she says the line is over there. Strike one... Wait in the line that moved pretty quick actually, as I come up again to meet her I was rushed through my order like I was just another person in her brewery no love or appreciation that was there. Strike two... My order, I requested 3of the co pilots and ended up with a flight of each flight, Strike three its one thing to rush me but to totally not listen to me strike three.. Good brews, great establishment but service will kill a company

This is top of the line for beer in Fort Collins.

Go for the taproom, not the brewery tour. They have an awesome huge patio where you can hang out, enjoy a huge selection of beers, play some corn hole, maybe a food truck like there was today. The tour is hardly anything worthwhile in my opinion, with only one small taste at the end, but the sizeable taproom and patio are what you come here for. That part was really fun!

  • Justin H.

Awesome beers, awesome gigantic patio, amazing food trucks, this place is awesome. My opinion, this is the best brewery in town! Kids and pets are welcome here too, so no need to find a sitter.

  • Perry H.

If I lived in the area I would spend so many lovely weekends outdoor on this patio, drinking some amazing brews, soaking up some sun, and playing cornhole. I had been anticipating this stop on my trip out west since I'm unable to taste the wonderful nectar of Odell's here in Philadelphia. I was not disappointed. Every beer I tried, even styles I'm not usually a fan of, were incredible. The system is very easy...upon entry you can order your flights/drinks and then pick them up around the corner. Once your tab is open you can go back to the pick-up area and refill. There's plenty of indoor space and a very large, aforementioned, patio. Lastly, there was a grill serving up stellar sausages. How can you go wrong with this place? Definitely make this stop a priority.

These folks stay buuusy, lotsa people here on a Friday. That being said, more than enough space to accommodate for the customers. The beer is great and affordable, pup friendly and cool atmosphere, I recommend it!

A great *little* microbrewery that makes excellent, unpasteurized beers. The beer garden is beautifully scaped, and accentuated with a different food truck each day. The beers are all well made and flavorful. The tour is short and informative.

Odell is the type of place I take people when I want to show them how proud I am to live in a town like Fort Collins. The people just pouring beer in this place are so proud and enthusiastic about their jobs and the brewery. Of course there are many places to drink craft brew in town but Odell has the best beer and the best atmosphere of the large breweries. Drinking a fresh nitro 5 barrel is one the most refreshing things to do on the weekend. Odell is an absolute hole in one grand slam of an experience to be had in Fort Collins.

One of my neighbors works here, so I have a soft spot in my heart for Odells, but their beer and the people that work there are just flat out fantastic. First off, the beer that they brew is nothing short greatness. They might have the best IPA that I've had, and I can't get enough of their small batch brews. Their flagship, 90 Schilling, is to die for, and they just keep pushing the envelope by bringing new beers to the table on what seems like a monthly basis. I've been drinking their beers since college, so found out about them when they were still very young, but they have aged very well. Odell's just renovated their facility a couple years ago, and the new digs are fabulous. The décor and atmosphere are awesome, and there's always something going on in the taproom, whether that be live music, or a beer release party, this is the place to be for the after-work crowd. The patio has great seating, there's always a different food truck to offer excellent grub to eat, and there's a couple corn hole sets for patrons to play while their enjoying the beer. The tours are awesome, and the knowledgeable staff that give them are a treat. They really are the best brewery in town, among many other great ones!!

I LOVE ODELLS. Seriously, I cannot say enough great things about this brewery. It is the PERFECT hangout spot on a beautiful sunny (February?) day. There are tons of tables and chairs outside, and lots of room for dogs to run around and kids to play. I often visit Odell's to grab a beer or fill my growler, but yesterday was the first time I've had the pleasure of sitting outside in the sun! I highly recommend it. If you fill up your growler, make sure they get your name and keep tabs on how many you have filled. You get rewards for filling growlers over time.

Beautiful establishment, inside and out. If you like IPAs, get the IPA sampler. SO YUMMY!! The food truck outside was also decent.

One of my favorite hangouts in FoCo! GREAT outdoor atmosphere. Fire pit to drink your amazing beer next to, there always seems to be a food truck with some pretty amazing options, and corn hole (it's a game for those of you who are unfamiliar)! Definitely bring your out of town guests here if they're looking to go to a brewery.

Odell was probably the most beautiful and friendly place we ended up visiting out of all 17 breweries on our tour of Beerorado. You can get a regular sampler or their premium sampler (this premium had a lot of experimental brews which was cool) and each are under $10. They also give all the profits from the taster samplers to the charity of the month which I thought was really cool of them. If you don't feel like giving to charity, or you'd rather give to Odell (I mean, they need to make a profit too!), you can also get pints of anything they have on tap too. Once you get your sampler or pint there is plenty of seating in their huge taproom. The taproom feels like a warehouse turned ski lodge and is absolutely gorgeous with its high ceilings, wood tables, and eco-friendly/reclaimed building materials. They also have a really nice patio where you can hang out, play games, grab a bite from a food truck, and of course, drink. It was not busy when we were there, so the feel might be different when its packed. Either way, the bartenders will tell you to "make yourself at home", which I absolutely loved. The beers were all pretty good. I really like my beers to have a citrusy hoppy bite or be super dark and strong, and they were able to deliver with a few. They really have a range of beers that anyone could find one they like, which is nice. Also, if you want some Odell gear, there is a nice little shop and cooler section on your way out. No one is there to pressure you to buy anything but it's there none the less. I will definitely be back for some more Odell loving next time I'm in Fort Collins.

Always amazing. Great atmosphere, great beer, great service, and on and on. The tour is so-so, but they make the best beer, and they have not let that get to them. They will provide great recommendations, no matter your percieved, or actual "Beer Expert" level.

Really fun brewery with a nice space for hanging out and drinking beer. The brews here are strong. I had a lighter ale, and thought it was solid. This place is packed, so be prepared to wait in line for beer, but it is worth it. The tables are large enough to accommodate bigger groups, like ours. I liked the wood decor throughout, very rustic, but still modern and comfortable.

I absolutely LOVE this venue - in particular their beautiful outdoor area. It's very casual, relaxed, and every time I've been there everyone seems to be having a good time and in a good mood. They also have bean bag toss, a stage for live music, and a food cart. The tour is also awesome and informative. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that most of their beer selection is a bit more bitter than I'd prefer. Their chocolate porter is quite good although it's a one-bottle sort of beer for me due to its richness and fullness.

Overall, I like everything about Odell Brewing. The beers are world class, with the IPA being among my favorite all time. Each beer is superior for style and the service is always friendly and fast. The vibe is comfortable and usually have a food truck available in the parking lot. Do the tour, try the beers enjoy the experience.

Best beer in town in a town full of great beer. Always friendly staff, always a relaxed but fun atmosphere. Their IPA tastes so much better at the brewery than in the bottle. Good prices for growlers too. My favorite place in Fort Collins.

A pastoral brewery, with lovely picnic tables, and views to match. We enjoyed a couple big beers, you cannot get outside of the factory. I had Dark Side of the Moo, a hefty milk stout. Boyfriend had a large IPA, both were delicious. Definitely worth the drive up from Denver. No food at the brewery, but a taco truck was parked at the edge of the patio.

Okay... I'm a beer snob... or maybe a beer w****! I chose to stop here over New Belgium because of the ability to sign up for their tour on the same day as your visit. Man was I glad that New Belgium was booked! An incredible array of beers awaits you here... they have several different flights available. I chose the co-pilot flight. Lots of high alcohol specialty beers. I added a sample of one extra beer they just tapped called Udderly Cherry. I would buy 4 out of the 7 beers again anytime... but all of them were very good to be honest. The tap room itself is very comfortable. I had arrived early and there was a small line that kind of moved slowly. I was worried when the place started getting crowded around lunch time about additional service, but the staff was awesome they handled it like a champ.

This place just keeps on expanding and growing and I think keeps on getting better. Its expanded indoor seating now spans multiple rooms with booths, tables, and long bar-style seating. The patio outside is huge now, I'd imagine the largest patio area of all the breweries in town (Coopersmith's two seating areas might be the only comparable one). They routinely have a food truck outside for some tasty eats to go with your beer. Oh yeah, and the beer! Along with the usual high quality mainstays and the expected seasonals, it seems like Odell is always debuting some new, interesting limited batch or different style, giving a wide variety of pleasant brews to choose from. The hardest thing about visiting is picking just which beer you want to try or enjoy again. The staff is always fast and friendly, able to serve the giant crowds that seem ever present. The decor has something of a tavern feel, though with enough space and seating for a good sense of community. I'd certainly visit more if I didn't prefer one or two local breweries a little more. That said, I feel like I really should stop by a little more often. It's always a pleasure when I do.

O'dell is my favorite beer in Fort Collins, I think. I really like their IPA, red IPA, and double IPA (but these are the only beers of theirs I've tried). They know what they are doing, for sure. However, I wouldn't feel honest giving a five star review because the beer doesn't excite me the way something like a Russian River sour or Alpine Brewing Duet IPA does.

I have to preface with the fact that this was our last stop on an all-day Ft. Collins brewery tour. Having said that, I dig this place. My only critique would be that they could definitely find a better way to deliver the beer to the customers. It was late afternoon on a Saturday, and the line was out the door. At first, I thought this was to just get in the place, but really it was the line to order beers winding out the door. So, you wait in the line and when you get to the register, you order, pay, and then move around the bar further where they then call out different beers that have been ordered, which people were mixing up, couldn't remember... it was a bit of a mess. But hey, who am I to judge how they run their bar, the beer is fantastic, and the venue is pretty cool. On a busy Saturday, we were able to find a table that fit 8 people right away and it wasn't so loud that you had to scream for people across the table to hear you. All in all, definitely worth the trip.

Odell is a solid place to hang out with friends and drink beer. The fire pit in the back is the tops for cold winter evenings. Bring in your empty growlers for refills and shoot the breeze with the bartenders and brewers. The parking is ample, the beer flows, the prices good. Love a good local Colorado beer. The good: tons of space and lots of good beer. The bad: feels a little too...plastic? Not sure how to combat that one.

Delicious beers, friendly staff, wonderfully large tasting room. Great fireplace outside. They always have unique smaller batches to try in the tasting room, however, this year's Treeshaker was not nearly as good as the previous year's.

Odell is by far my favorite place in Fort Collins! They have an amazing outdoor patio with multiple levels, a stage, dog friendly environment, and just all around amazing people. I love their samplers, it allows you to taste many of their experimental and most popular brews all at once. The staff are so friendly and helpful! I'd recommend of course the Odell IPA but also the Wolf Picker Experimental Pale Ale or the new Peach IPA! Delicious!

My wife and I met a couple up in Fort Collins and decided to partake in a mini brewery tour. What a gas. So, our second stop was The O'Dell Brewing Company. This place is just cool. Quaint. Charming. Imperturbable...you know? As you walk from the parking lot, across the Foot Bridge and look at the building, it just boasts, "Fun times and great beer are inside." We weren't disappointed. The folks (staff just doesn't seem appropriate) are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, plus they have this cool laid back, but focused style. On to the goods. The beer. O'Dell offers numerous tasters in different quantities and selections; if you have A.D.D. you'll never make up your mind, bring a decision maker. I do guarantee they have something that is just right for you. What I love about this place, the satisfying smell of beer being brewed, that hoppy aroma, that "yeastful" determination of germination, much like bread being baked...it's an indescribable thick scent, that you'd just love to run through (clothes optional). Knowing all the discriminating tastes that exist, I won't go into each beer, but more importantly, you can get their Classics (90 Schilling, Sunshine Wheat), The Seasonals (Isolation Ale, St. Lupulin), and most importantly, their Pilot Beers (The Meddler, Pond Hopper), or as they call them- research and development beers. Usually this is the only place you'll ever find these beers, they pour for feedback, fun and who knows, maybe someone lost a side bet. If you are in search of a fun place, that offers tours, live music and a unique tasting experience, go check out O'Dell.

  • Michael B.

I would only give this place three stars. Every time I go there is a massive line of people trying to get to the bar either from the entrance or from the new outside area. The newly updated outdoor area is nice, with the clever addition of a concert stage really making it a different option from other nearby breweries. Bike parking is an obvious problem here. The huge car parking area dominates the area surrounding the building, whereas a tiny bike rack is quickly filled. There were hundreds of bikes chained to fences and trees (poor trees!) around the property as this is how Fort Collins gets around on a sunny day. The bike parking needs to get fixed.

Went to Fort Collins specifically for some brewery tours - Odell was first on the list. The place was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon (expectedly) and we had to park off the beaten path. The line to get a beer was almost out the door, but it went quickly. They sell by the glass / growler at the bar and have a small selection of six packs/singles for sale as well. They also sell some specialty bombers ranging from $15-$25. The bar also sells beer flights in two varieties - one of the standard line-up and one of the more experimental brews (each priced at $4). Each flight had six one ounce pours and a description card. Got to take a tour of the brewery and right at the start, the tour guide gave everyone a sample of the $25 Woodcut beer that they sell. Very oaky and complex with a high ABV. Simply delicious! The tour guide said that normally do not give samples, so don't expect one if you go. The tour was very informal and easy-going. Covered the beer making process briefly then toured the facility. My favorite part was the cellar where they have all of their cask aged barrels - beautiful! They get their bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace, which makes a great bourbon. Very excited to sample the beer that comes from these barrels. The tour guide also pulled out a big bin of leaf hops and showed everyone what they looked / smelled like. Cool! They are expanding the facility, so I would like to come back when that is complete. Overall, a nice facility and tour, but I would like to come back during the week to avoid the craziness.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon on my way out of Fort Collins to take a plane back to California -- boo hoo! I loved the beer offerings at Odell! I ordered a round of tasters (can't remember which, I believe it was the one with the Double IPA) and I loved all of them. There was also a band playing when we went called Mosey West, I really enjoyed the music and the ambiance. I wish I lived in FoCo so I could some more often! I the mean time... please start distributing in California!!

    (5)
  • Carrie C.

Not nearly as crowded as New Belgium and the beer is definitely better than the Ft Collins Brewery. You really only need a couple tasters for like 4 people...especially if you're bouncing from place to place.... Also, know that if sit outside, you run the risk of having a wasp or two rush your beer lol. I hear they like the lighter brews but I had one dive bomb a dark one...so who knows. They'll be happy to replace it if that happens though. Nice selection of clothing as well...

Tasty IPA and a cool space on the edge of town. We found it quite odd that they didn't serve ANY food. This would be against the law in Washington. Not even a pretzel. Still worth a trip to say hi to the nice staff - the beer sampler seemed to be quite popular and why not leave with a growler of your favorite flavor?

No free beer here, but that's because it's better beer. I just love their sampler platter. And I love when the people I go with order the same. Because what they can't finish, I clean up. Friendly people, good (expensive) merchandise. I'll be back whenever I'm up north again!

Three cheers for Odell beers!! We went for the Small Batch Fest so I can't speak directly about the brewery sans festival. The beer we tasted was awesome and the people are great. Not to mention that my boyfriend bought a t-shirt and it was a very reasonable $10(we've been to breweries where they want upwards of $25).

As far as I'm concerned, Colorado is the brew capital of the USA, and to be number one amongst this amount of competition is pretty impressive. The 90 schling and double pilsner were the highlights, but the bock was good as well. All in all the tasting trays are the most bang for your buck. I love this place.

  • Kate I.

Fantastic brewery. Really enjoyed the tour. We went at 1:00 pm on a weekday and only had about eight people in our tour. Our guide answered questions knowledgeably. You only get one free beer but you can buy a beer to bring on the tour. Tasting room is great, they have about four flights to choose from. Merch selection is good, they're artwork is really cool. They are kid friendly, we brought our 4-month old on the tour. I liked all of that but the five stars are for the beer, of course. One of my new favorite breweries. Love the beer - lots of different styles. I tried about half of those available in the tasting room and while I'm not a fan of all the styles, I can appreciate the quality of them. Did not taste one bad beer.

We had a great time here! My boyfriend and I ordered 2 sample beer trays and shared them. There were only a couple of beers out of the 12 that we tried that we didn't love. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They have the game of corn hole outside which makes it even more fun. There were tons of people of all ages there. It is obviously a very popular Ft. Collins spot and I can definitely see why.

Love the expanded space. All staff members are very knowledgeable and love answering questions. Make sure to get their 20 mins before a tour is to start to make sure you can get on the list.

This place is the shit. The beer is amazing and always interesting, the live entertainment in the summer is great and the atmosphere for a microbrewery is as good as it gets. We live in Colorado Springs, and when we visit Fort Collins, of course we hit up other breweries in town, but we stay a long time at this one. Don't miss the beer taster tray. Amazing, and a good deal. Love this place.

If I could hang out on the porch at odell every sunny warm day there is, I would. The employees know their shit too. I went on a tour last spring and was lucky enough to be guided by they guy who is in charge of their cask beers, which are my favorite pour. They all love what they are doing and are more than happy to help you figure out what beer you'll like the most. Another great thing about odells (especially compared to new Belgium) is that they continually change their beers and have specialty ones on draft so you never know what they'll have when you go in. I love this place... and beer...

Honestly, I would have given the Odell Brewery a 4 star rating (5 stars only for the best of the best) if it hadn't been for the rude lady in the pink skirt-thingy near the end of our stay. A little water spilt and she told my friend and I to leave and that she would not serve us (though she had nothing to do with our service until then). Unfortunate end to an otherwise excellent experience. Even had we been unruly, a "watch it or you're out" would have served them better than a "leave now." Don't let this dissuade you from going to Odell's; this review is more for the people working there than for the patrons. Brewmasters, keep the good stuff flowing!

Love their beers. Even if they are starting to settle down and stop making genuine single batches. Bring them back! By far my favorite Fort Collins brewery. (Not Colorado though, that would go to Avery.) The tour is short and the interior is okay. Not over the top like New Belgium. Big patio for nice days and they have a facility for parties that you can reserve. I was told that they are planning a pretty large expansion in the near future. You can buy a sampler tray or a pint. Unless things have changed, you are usually granted a sipper to find out if you like something, then you can buy a pint. The servers can be a bit surly but they aren't working for tips. They do know there beer though and you never wait more than a few minutes.

Odell Brewing Company is one of the "other" local microbrewers in Fort Collins (i.e not New Belgium). The difference being that not all of their beers are available as widely nationally, so it's pretty cool to visit their tasting room. $3 gets you the classic tray with their standard beers or their "pilot" tray with beers they're testing out. Actually, you get a token for $3 which you can then donate to a local charity of the month or use towards purchase of beer or t-shirts from their shop. They're known for 90 Shilling, a medium amber ale, Easy Street Wheat, an American-style Weizen and Cutthroat Porter, a really dark, coffee-like Porter. On a side note, the Cutthroat Trout is the Colorado State fish. Now you know. The classic tray was huge - the individual sizes were smaller than at New Belgium but you get to try about 7 beers - quite a lot considering that it's basically free. The ambiance of the tasting room wasn't as nice as New Belgium, but it certainly wasn't uninviting. You can also purchase normal-sized pints there to drink.

The coolest thing about this place was that there was music. A small band was playing and they were quite good- I wish I could remember the band's name. The bartender carded us which is always welcomed :) thank you very much and was nice enough to not give me a dirty look when I said that I normally don't drink beer. I mean here I am at a brewery and walk up and say that? I'd be like what the f is this girl's prob? but like I said my husband LOVES beer so we visited some breweries. The bartender was nice to tell me which beers I may enjoy and which I may not. He was right. The two he recommended were very good. One I could drink for sure, the other one maybe the tasting was enough. The one I liked was Easy Street. I'm sure we'll be going back there!

The flavors of Odell's beers are amazing. They have taken brewing to an art form and I am always surprised and happy to find unique interesting beer with a rich palette and flavor-profile. Look for the special brews, peach stout, bourbon stout..I could go on. and on. Perfect everytime. You don't get freebies here but once you taste the beer you will know why. The counter staff is always friendly, engaging and educated about the beer. Caution: this place can be habit-forming.

Decided to stop here while in town for GABF. The beer is great. Atmosphere is fabulous, and they give a super generous discount for AHA card holders!

Very lovely little place. I hit this place after New Belgium on the way out of town and I hit it right before the rush. The same people that were lining the bar there shuffled in and crowded the place just after we got our samplers. Very original brews and quaint architecture. I also liked the staff, one of the guys working there has a hop sleeve tattoo that was pretty impressive. The tour was very informal while very informative and really showcased the unique personality of the brewery and their brews. Great place to visit, but very small compared to the crowds.

My favorite IPA hands down, the tour is interesting and worth the trip. Also, they may say samples aren't given but each time I have been there samples flowed freely. Stop by!

Some more great local beer. 5 Barrel is the king of pale ales. Take the tour. Get a sampler. Sit outside with it in the summer.

Great little place to get some great beer. They didn't have a tour when I was there, but they have a front room for tasting. Fairly good price for a rail full of tasting glasses. I especially love their 90 Schilling. Luckily enough, even being in Omaha, a place down the street from here has it on tap....

When I first moved to Colorado, I asked friends for recommendation on good microbrews. The most passionate response I got from a friend who brews his own beer was Odell's 90 Shilling. So I got it and he was right. The stuff is amazing. So when my parents were in town we planned a trip up to Fort Collins and I decided we'd hit up Odell's tour. The sampler tray was great, as well as the variety of special brews they had available on tap. The tour, while pretty quick, was fun and informative. I loved hearing about their efforts to stay green (among other things, leaving the lights off for most of the working day and just letting natural light do its work). There's only one or two beers in their selection that I'm not particularly fond of but would still drink if it was in front of me. As long as Odell is on the label, I'm pretty much sold.

Really neat atmosphere. Great, informative, free tour and good IPA's afterwards. Fun way to spend a couple of hours. Edited to add that I bet this is a wonderful place to come to listen to some live music on the days it is offered.

Just got around to checking out the renovations, and I have to say, they did a great job! When we stopped by for a couple of growler fills, a band was playing in the corner and the atmosphere was great. Definitely going to make an effort to make it back when we can stay and hang out a little longer.

Great place with good people! Another yelper who was terribly disappointed by New Belgium here. We made our way to Odell and were pleasantly surprised. We found a table outside on their patio and made ourselves at home. They serve pints and flights of beers. The beers are really good! They don't serve food, so we ordered a pizza from Papa Johns, who delivered for us in less than 30 minutes! A very successful trip! Also, the people that work there are really great! They are friendly and willing to answer all your beer/brewery questions. This will definitely be the first place I return to in Fort Collins.

I can't get enough of Odell's! All of their beers are phenomenal and their staff is extremely helpful. I really think this brewery beats their rival, New Belgium. Odell's really makes incredible beers! If you've not tried them, and you like beer, give them a honest try! The 90 Shilling is great! Their India Barley Wine...so good! If you're there at the brewery, then try their cask ale. You won't be disappointed!

The Brewery is not huge by any means, but I had more fun and learned more there then I have at any big breweries I have ever visited. The hospitality and life of the staff was amazing. It not only made me want to come back it made me want to work at Odell. To top it all off the beer is fantastic! I have a new favorite red.

Tried the "pilot" sampler for $3 (comes with a $3 wooden token towards any merch over $5 from the gift shop). I'm a huge fan of Easy Street and 90 Shilling, and found the staff to be knowledgeable and super-friendly. Make this one of your brewery stops when you're in Fort Collins-- you won't regret it!

Talk about great people. They made room for us when we got their to be part of the tour group. It is the usual step-by-step tour, but the people who work their are so friendly. The tasting room is very nice and quaint. I had some great tasters of their beers. It was fun to try their short-lived malt liquor while I was there. Please go visit O'Dells and take the tour and walk away with something special out of the cooler to take home. The growth of this brewery is well deserved. Great Colorado beer.

Here's to a brewery with less buzz surrounding it (Like the other brewery up the road) and the fastest Growler fillers in town. I miss Odell and living in Old Town Fort Collins.

  • S T.

Odell's has some great brews, but the place could use some character. We found seats at a table in the back room, and it felt a little like a family reunion at the 4H fairgrounds. It's not as crowded as New Belgium, Bigger than Ft Collins Brewery, and has on the whole pretty good beers. Easy Street and 90 Shilling are the way to go.

Good tour - no restervations needed you just need to show up a half hour early to make sure you get a spot. the tour is good, about 30 min, they know what htey are talking about, but no free samples :(

The thing I miss most about Fort Collins in Odell. They have such a friendly staff and great beers. in the summer, the patio is awesome! I actually learned some really interesting stuff on the tours. If you visit on Saturday make sure you take Chris' tour. I recommend the pilot tray. It gives really shows the creativity of the brewers and you get to taste stuff you can't get at a bar. Oh, and the beer (and staff) is so much better than New Belgium!

In my opinion, the best brewery in Fort Collins! Try the "Double Pilsner," it is superb.

  • Elaine E.

Pretty close to New Belgium Brewery (within walking distance). The tour is much shorter than NBB, but the tasting room has a lot more room. The samples aren't free. $3 for some pretty generous samplers but the money goes to charity. It's always nice to drink for a cause : ) Our tour guide was really knowledgable (cute too!). If you like hoppy beers, I really recommend their India Pale Ale. Good stuff.

Odells is one of the many excellent breweries in town, and it seems like everyone in town falls squarely into two camps. Those that prefer New Belgium and those that prefer Odells beers. Personally, I prefer Odells. They have an experimental streak that has created some of the best beers that I have ever tasted. Their tasting room and staff are very nice and for 3 dollars you get a great sampler!

i wanted to come here because i have an odell 90 shilling t-shirt and i had never tried the stuff before. it is close to the new belgium brewing company but not nearly as nice. the staff isn't as fun or friendly either. they also charge $3 for a tray of their beers! at new belgium, everything is free!! they are a little bigger than shot sized portions and you only get 6 little tasters.. i just wanted to try the 90 shilling and easy street beers so they gave me those for free. the easy street was much better than the 90 shilling which tasted really bitter to me.. after coming from the new belgium brewing company, odell just seemed plain and boring to me.. we didn't stay long because we weren't too interested in their beers.

A+ always busy. The beers are always flowing. The service is always catering towards their customers. If you need something they are willing to accommodate. I would recommend making time to stay here for a while and staying for a tour. It's great to learn about a local brewery!

Odell Brewing Company mixes Colorado and Beer culture with a ease. The experience that you get at their brewery is thought out and tasteful, while not straying too much from what makes them unique. Keep an eye out for their unique specials like the pickles steeped in their beer mash.

My hubby was happy, he had the Co-Pilot Tray. The best one on there was the NIKI. :) We took some home, it survived flight with stainless steel growlers. :) Staff was really friendly, we'd go back..

One of the big two breweries in town. Odell's is a great place to go and grab a couple of beers, check out some music or hang with friends.

  • Troy G.

  • Michael L.

  • Nat S.

  • Adam L.

  • Jack K.

We have never been to Odell's and not had a good time. This is a spacious tasting room with a huge patio. Lot's of fun and great beer.

Probably my favorite brewery...ever. Just glad I live in Ft Collins to be able to go anytime I want. People are great, atmosphere is awesome, the patio is the best patio in town, and of course, the beer is always awesome.

Best Brewery in town! LOVE the patio in the summer and going on Wednesdays for local music! And the beer! Ooooh the beer! ::drool::

I LOVE the beer here. Likely my favorite beer. But when I go in, the staff at the register hurries me. My first time there, I waited in a long line at the register (completely unclear if I had to be waiting in the line or if I could go up to the bar. I asked if this is where I have to order my drinks and I only bought one beer, because I wasn't sure if I could go up to the bar for my second. It's hard to explain, but the people there are not as friendly as New Belgium or Left Hand. I always feel welcome at NB, but not at Odell. I prefer the beer here, but the atmosphere at other breweries.

Hi5!

I love Odell's, their IPA is my favorite beer. Mercenary is a close second. Their delivery driver Gus is a really good guy, if anyone from Odell's is reading this give that man a raise!

Period.

Odell's brews one of my favorite beers of all time! 90 Schilling! I'm a fan of all their brews though and love to hit up their brewery from time to time and relax on their deck with a delicious tasty beverage. Oh how I missed Colorado beers while I was out of state.

  • Sophia N.

  • Renee W.

Collins.

  • Josh H.

Love their beer, great locations with lots of room, food trucks and snacks.

The IPA was amazing! I liked the beers much more than New Belgium, but I just wished they distributed to California.

The brewery in Fort Collins that takes the most risks. Oyster beer, beer with wine must, peanut butter chocolate milk stout, etc.

  • Tony B.

I wish they were able to distribute to CA! Brewery tour was fun and it was nice to be able to see their pilot system. All of the beer we tasted was excellent. Taproom is cozy with a great selection of special and normal releases.

  • Nicholas P.

I'm a fan!

Good Beer all around, great atmosphere, and fun activities though out the warmer weather months. Unlike other local breweries, they have more great tasting beer than not. Good place to take visitors from out of town, too!

    (5)
  • Don K.

This place is killer. Best brewery I've been to. Check out Wed. Nights when they often have bands.

  • Becky S.

No free beer here, but that's because it's better beer. I just love their sampler platter. And I love when the people I go with order the same. Because what they can't finish, I clean up. Friendly people, good (expensive) merchandise. I'll be back whenever I'm up north again!

  • Courtney R.

    (4)
  • Trey S.

No better place to enjoy a sampling of Odell's top notch brews. Beautiful facility, fun/friendly atmosphere! Truly a Colorado gem.

  • Gillian R.

    (4)
  • Ingrid B.

Went today for the Small Batch Festival and had a great time. I didn't really get to see much of the brewery except the outside, but from what I saw it was awesome. Open spaces and great beers a definite must if you visit Fort Collins.

I love this place... and beer...

The beer is top notch, don't let my star rating fool you.

  • Bobbi Jean H.

  • Andrew N.

    (5)
  • J W.

In my opinion, the best brewery in Fort Collins! Try the "Double Pilsner," it is superb.

    (5)

Good stuff.

    (5)
  • Eric j.

  • Ali C.

i wanted to come here because i have an odell 90 shilling t-shirt and i had never tried the stuff before. it is close to the new belgium brewing company but not nearly as nice. the staff isn't as fun or friendly either. they also charge $3 for a tray of their beers! at new belgium, everything is free!! they are a little bigger than shot sized portions and you only get 6 little tasters.. i just wanted to try the 90 shilling and easy street beers so they gave me those for free. the easy street was much better than the 90 shilling which tasted really bitter to me.. after coming from the new belgium brewing company, odell just seemed plain and boring to me.. we didn't stay long because we weren't too interested in their beers.
