I have been here several times, usually just ordering the Vietnamese Rolls. They were great, until the last time. They were hard, yet rubbery, and burnt. Microwaved? They could not be chewed. I called up the restaurant to let them know, and it was like a negotiation with the intent that I come up empty handed and empty pocketed. I had hoped they would just run out an new order for me, but no. Begrudgingly, they wanted to give me a credit. I wanted a refund and had to DEMAND it several times, then she didn't want to include the tax that I paid. She was pouting because I didn't want to pay for receiving nothing, I had thrown both orders of rolls in the trash as they were unpalatable. That meant no dinner! And I had to argue to get my money back and deal with a pouting, selfish, greedy person on the other end of the line. It really was outrageous. Why should I pay for something that I cannot eat? It cannot be chewed! Can you imagine buying shoes and they arrive with no soles, or a gar without a steering wheel? There is a trend in this area for restaurants to expect that the customer pay for inedible food and not complain. It is unconscionable. The second to last time I ordered from here, was like someone else on here said, weird mystery meat. It was the first time I had ordered non-rolls. Curry or stir fries. The chicken and the beef tasted weird and had a silky consistency. Was it pre-digested or pink slime or boiled? I have no idea. It was disgusting. Those also ended up in the trash and I didn't call that time, but did the last time. Inconsistent quality. Inferior quality meats in entrees. Overcooking to the point of rubberizing, maybe microwaving rolls? Bad, bad, bad attitude. Greedy and ungrateful.

This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, and most asian hole in the walls are pretty good. A shame this place doesn't live up to the standard :( The thai spring rolls weren't that great. Filled mainly with shredded lettuce instead of rice noodles. Ingredients didn't taste that fresh. The hot and sour soup was average, so I'd order that again. The appetizer sampler was ok but 4 fried wontons seemed a bit excessive given that usually they're served as a topping for soups. Instead, now you have them as giant fried crackers on their own. My girlfriend said the cashew chicken was "ok". I had a bite and indeed nothing very good or very bad about it. The pan fried noodles though is where I have a more serious issue. The noodles were barely fried. In fact, it wasn't fried at all except for the edges. They drown it in sauce that wasn't particularly flavorful. Back to the noodles not being fried, they were far too soggy for the amount of sauce present. The protein bits tasted like they had been sitting in the fridge a bit too long. This place didn't make me sick, and the service was fine, but I wouldn't go back for the food.

Their menu looks great, and I love Chinese food... Never got a chance to eat it though. The girl that picked up seemed super stressed (can't blame her because it's a Friday night) however, there's obviously a huge language barrier, and after a long week, I just don't have the patients to go over what I would like to order in simple common English.

OK food. Definitely not one of the best restaurants that I've gone to, but it'll do If I crave Chinese food in Fredrick , CO.

It's been a while since I've been here, but was a regular when I lived more in the area. Love the triple delight w garlic sauce & the sesame chicken (awesome extra spicy). I am also a HUGE fan of their hot & sour soup. I would go there JUST for that sometimes. Friendly service too.....often got take out. Friday nights are busy!

Boiled mystery meat? If your thinking of ordering this place, I would think different. Why this place doesn't use a wok is a mystery since wok is in the name. If you like bland and boiled this is your spot. If you like seared meat and flavor you will need to go elsewhere! You've been warned! An absolute waste of money!

Ordered from them the day after Christmas b/c we were super lazy. Had the Tofu Pad Thai and it was really sweet and savory-everything was cooked perfectly. My husband got the Chicken & veggies with Lemon Flavoring off the low fat part of the menu and he said it was so-so but I'm guessing that's b/c it was lacking fat to make it tasty. Absolutely loved the egg rolls and the steamed dumplings were yummy too. Recommended!

Food could be okay if not cold upon arrival....and half missing. Horrible customer service when calling to notify. Possibly dine in if you want quality.

I wavered between a 3 and a 4 star on this. 4 star means Yay! I'm a fan, but I lean a bit more toward A-OK (3 star rating). We've been here once, but will return when the mood for Chinese strikes and we don't want to drive far (or if we would prefer delivery from one of the few places that delivers around here). The best thing about this place was the service. They were attentive, always made sure our glasses were full, and checked on us several times. For that, we will come back. The food is your standard chinese fare, and a bit on the saltier side (as most Chinese is). I've had better, but again, if the craving strikes, we'll definitely come back here. The flavor is there, but it's almost overdone. Egg rolls were greasy - again, not surprising for Chinese food. We ordered the dinner for two (comes with soup, appetizer, entree) and split it with our two kids. More than enough food - we had leftovers for two more of us the next day. Dining room is a tiny, so accommodating groups would be tough. They boast outdoor seating, but from what I could see (since our visit was in March and it was cold) is two small round tables that seat only two people on the sidewalk out front. They don't have a private patio so you're subjected to anyone walking by going to Safeway, the cleaners, etc in the strip mall.

They have really good wonton soup. Great lunch specials. I usually get the peanut chicken curry, sesame chicken or the chef special. I love this place. They deliver so that's awesome. They're also really friendly and I always look forward to going there!

I came with my family looking for something for everyone. I very was impressed with the food and the service. The food was a great mix of Chinese, Tai, and Vietnamese. I got the noodle bowl, my wife got drunken noodle and my oldest got Gen Tso. All of it was really good. For 5 people, the bill was 35.00. We can't go anywhere for 35.

I have eaten at this place several times. It started out well, but really had just missed the mark consistantly since then... I have also noticed that people tend to stand and wait before being acknowledged. The owner is a real peach as well. Maybe she should stand in front of a mirror and learn how to smile...

As far as Chinese food goes, this place is great in my book. Food is always hot, tasty, and loaded with msg (lol). We have never had a bad experience here, although we always take food to go. I will continue to go back.

Decent Chinese for a small town. No real complaints. Standard prices. Good portions. Only eaten in the restaurant once, mostly just get takeout.

One can argue the best Chinese food in Frederick. Great food and soups. I would recommend the Seasame Chicken ordered extra spicy.

Order Wah Wok often. For the Frederick / Firestone Area, you cant beat it, pretty good price, somewhat fast delivery time, but they often screw up the little things like extra mustard or to include chopsticks. But overall the food is tasty and of decent quality, perfect for Friday's when you dont feel like cooking.

Wah wok was just okay for me. I had the hot and sour soup, which was recommended here, and it was just ok. It was hot for sure (temperature) and peppery, but it wasn't great. They lunch special was fantastic, small portion of the meal (which is still filling), rice, soup and an egg roll for just under $7.00 (that's why I gave the 3-stars). Other than that, I honestly don't even remember what I got, but it was spicy-ish and had chicken and mushrooms. One mushroom must have been rotted or something, it tasted like old, dry potatoes, but that was only one bite and I was able to remove it from the situation. I would probably try the beef next time, just to give it another chance, but the likelyhood of me going there often is low. I don't live far from it, and I'm basically in this plaza 3 times a week, but I will choose another local joint over this one.

The best hot and sour soup around. Great service, fast delivery and extremely consistent. They have healthy options which is important to me. My kids love the crab cheese wontons (not one of the healthy options). I love the steamed veggies with tofu.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
