Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My husband and I went out for our first date night in a long time. We read the reviews and chose this place. The food was ok but the server was very nonchalant. When she was picking up our dish that we left some food on, she says, oh wow. I felt like saying, sorry I didn't clear my plate dear. Then she came up and threw the bill in front of my husband. Won't be returning.

Great place, great vibe, great staff, great food!! Try this place out and you won't be dissapointed!!
(5)Dustin L.
Others have already said it well so I'll not belabour the review. Floyd J's review was spot on; Great food using mostly fresh local ingredients. Friendly staff and more friendly owner along with a relaxed hippy (in a good way) cozy atmosphere. This is our go-to place in Evergreen.

After a long day of hiking we decided to look for a place to eat in Evergreen. We happened upon One world cafe with a large sign saying "NOW SERVING BRUNCH, LUNCH, DINNER" so we pulled in. When we finally found parking we were greeted by two stoners on a bench that told us they didn't open til 5p. What the hell? How do you serve Brunch AND lunch if you don't open til 5p???

I moved to Evergreen in September, and have intended to come here dozens of times. Finally, on Saturday, I tried it, and I loved it. I don't even like Bloody Mary's, but since everyone seemed to be drinking them, I tried one. And I liked it so much, I had to get a 2nd one! The natural sunlight coming into the small cafe, the great food, and the amazing Bloody Mary made it a perfect Saturday brunch. I got the biscuits and gravy. Next time I think I'll try the stuffed french toast.

We've been to this cute place a few times. Love the charm, decor, music, extra-friendly staff, location, and overall vibe of this small upstairs cafe. Right by the lake on the historic boardwalk strip. Our experience has been that the food is pretty good, but not amazing. With the exception of the curried chicken salad sandwich. I've been dreaming of it. Overall, lunch is better than breakfast. The beer selection is great too. We will keep going for the atmosphere and plan to check out the live music nights soon.
(3)Brian D.
Incredible! Delicious food and great service. I had the fish tacos. Great flavor, with hand-made corn tortillas. When we went, there was also some really good live music. Cozy atmosphere with a lot of character.
(5)Cameron A.
Great food and environment. Immerse yourself in the awesome small town feel of Evergreen. Wall in the door and up the stairs to the main level for a quaint and awesome hippie-styled dining experience. TRY THE ISLAND BURGER WITH BACON ADDED and a ONE WORLD MARGARITA!
(5)Steve F.
Poor service by stoned and dirty hippies who seemed like they would rather be doing anything else but waiting on you. Food over priced and tasteless. $8 for a garlic bread appetizer that took 40 min to come and then only after asking twice? Come on!
(1)Bryan H.
I love creative ventures and this one has it nailed! I love the food, I love the small feel and you just feel at home here, don;t know why but its a gem!
(4)Stephanie S.
I went here for brunch on a Saturday morning after reading other reviews and was delighted with the food. I had a hard time deciding what to order, because everything on the menu sounded really good and I think I probably would've been really happy no matter what I ordered. My omelette was so good and my husband was happy with his order too. We also enjoyed the relaxing, laid back environment and charm of the place. I am definitely looking forward to eating here again!

I have wanted to visit One World Cafe on so many occasions but my meal times don't ever seem to correspond with the time I pass by this inviting little place on the main drag in Evergreen. Finally! The stars aligned! Good Friend, our kids and I hopped in his truck with a need to get away from the city. Nothing sounded good for breakfast until we reached Evergreen. We were fortunate enough to find parking across the street. We opened the door decorated with buttons and headed up an odd narrow stairwell toward the dining area. Tiny, tiny dining area. The kids loudly exclaimed their need to be outside so we crammed ourselves in the corner of their cozy patio (a two top and two three top tables - one of which we made a five top). This ended up being the best decision since the kids found an opening in the fence that allowed them to play on the hill while they waited for their happy face pancakes. I definitely see more than one meaning in the "One World" title. There is only enough space for there to be one world. It's totally worth the space invasion though. And everyone there seemed to be friendly enough anyway. We were all happy with our beautifully presented breakfasts and the service was pleasant and welcoming. I will definitely return to this place to check out their lunch on my next escape!
(4)Janelle S.
Anyone on here saying it is cramped needs to go to a BIG CHAIN restaurant somewhere else. This place is great! Small town atmosphere with awesome food and service. after a day outside playing it is nice to visit a local business that has has home cooked food and cold beers:)
(5)Erin W.
We ate here because I spotted a chalk board in a second floor window announcing "mussels tonight" while driving through town. Parking on street or in public lot across the street and down the block. The entrance puts you at a flight of stairs to the dining room, past the ground floor kitchen. It was a cold, slow night and the cook was reading in the front room. Upstairs is super cozy, seating for 25 with tabletop artwork (?) and a (tiny) full bar complete with espresso and soda machines. Yummy, seasonal, local beers were featured on tap. The coconut curry mussels were delicious, and the vegetable lasagna was satisfying, with big slices of fresh roasted veggies, but was unfortunately swimming in a sea of tomato sauce. The sauce was also tasty, with nice chunks of tomato, but there was just too much of it. It was such a waste, and I would have preferred a side green salad. The waitress told us all desserts were made fresh in house and the list was varied. If its available, try the mexican chocolate pie with a thin hazelnut crust and rich, fluffy chocolate mousse. Will eat here again and recommend it to friends in the area.

I was here once before and was underwhelmed. There were flies everywhere and it was gross. But one year later I decide to try again as reviews are good. So I went tonight. Wasn't greeted. Sat myself. All good so far. All employees preoccupied and I sit for about 7 minutes before anyone approached. Then I was given a menu and water. So really I'm good at this point. The menu was pretty bad for my liking but I wanted to make the best of it. My waitress is busy sweeping the floor or something as I sit forever. I have now been here 15 minutes and I'm regretting it. I doubt they even noticed for 20 minutes but I slipped out in lieu of trusted Rio Del Sol fish tacos. Sorry One World...never impressed.
(1)Jaylin S.
Slightly "Boulder" and totally laid back, this you-have-to-trek-to-the-top-of-the-stairs-before-Âyou-can-see-a-menu joint is beyond quaint. Colored pictures and lights of all sorts decorate the walls and the mismatched cups that we drank from had the perfect concoction of beverage, honey, coconut milk. I like the vibe, I like the staff, and if I was hungry chances are is like the menu too.
(5)Google U.
new owners- unreal food. great for anyone w any dietary restrictions. All of their food is local including meat and eggs. as a vegetarian I love it. great drinks too.
(5)Stefanie B.
As much as I detest chain restaurants, I love little hole-in-the-wall, quirky places. I will usually award at least one if not two stars if the restaurant or venue looks different than your standard restaurant. This place fits the quirky factor with a touch of hippy thrown in. The food is yummy and served quickly.
(4)E H.
We love this place, & have tried most things on the brunch, lunch, & dinner menus. It's one of our favorite weekend brunch spots. Contrary to another reviewer's claims, the 'cheapest thing on the menu' for brunch is not biscuits & gravy. There are 5 $8 breakfasts (all substantial) & the basic French toast is $6. I usually order the Evergreen omelet, which is $9 & is *3 eggs* with their amazing bacon, spinach & cream cheese, & comes with hash browns & toast- I can never finish it, it's so much food. Their Bloody Marys are to die for, with a giant pickle wedge as garnish. Their salads are all amazing- I recently ordered The Goddess ($10) & an order of hummus & pita bread (beautifully presented, shared with my hubby- $8) and still had leftovers. Their pasta, fish, fish tacos, & burgers are all wonderful, & they have great specials on a day-to-day basis. Their cocktails are wonderful- I always get the Blue Indigo, which is both gorgeous & delicious. The hubs enjoys their top shelf margaritas. Yes, the decor is funky & mismatched, & yes, it's a small establishment, but it's truly who they are, & it adds to the charm. The service is good-to-great (even when they're packed, which they frequently are most evenings). The owners & staff really are 'hippie types' who truly support our local Evergreen community (most ingredients are local or organic, many made in-house). So if the pricing seems a tad high on certain items, understand that you are getting real food, whole food (not chain restaurant quality/factory-farmed garbage). Every visitor we've had (from across the country) that we've taken to One World has been impressed by the food. We're going there for dinner tonight. Give them a try for brunch or dinner.

Bravo! Came here for cafe food and got a totally difference experience then what I wasn't expecting. Food was unique, full of flavor, and the ambiance was so comfy. Had the shrimp curry and some super hot dish that restarted my immune system. Both were fantastic!!!! Wine selection was thumbs up too! Also, server was super accommodating and friendly without being imposing. I'd go back anytime and it's hands down my favorite place to eat in Evergreen.
(4)Levi L.
Ummm...this place isn't Mexican food. It's delicious- but it's not Mexican food. I had a burger that was a top 20 in my life, but nothing to write home about. I'll probably try something else next time we're out there.
(3)jen s.
Love this place. Great people, the Bacon Jam Burger made with grass fed free range beef is addictive! Yummy salads.... it's all goodness in a funky little joint!
(5)Beth S.
I have upgraded my review because the owner of One World contacted me to apologize for my experience. I believe that is a sign of a business who does indeed care about their customers. I also believe in giving feedback because without it, good or bad, owners may be in the dark about what their customers are experiencing. I appreciate One World Cafe acknowledging my review and expressing concern.
(3)Scott R.
This is simply the friendliest place in town. Food is great, service is smiley, atmosphere homey and energetic. This is our Friday night family place. Love it. Thanks for being there!
(4)Teema C.
It was a hot day so we chose to sit outside in their tiny outdoor area. Hubby and I both had burgers which were great! They ran out of their brioche buns which we would have preferred but the wheat was ok too. Fries were mediocre. Service was friendly even though my drink was forgotten about at first. Would love to try this place for breakfast.
(4)Carla B.
Love this place, Clean revolution!!!! Grass fed beef, farm fresh eggs, organic mixed greens, hemp burgers, what's not to like....... Great at working with special dietary needs. Very hard to go out to eat with food allergies but they make it fun and enjoyable.
(5)Ann M.
Went back with a friend in December. Had the Hemp burger with Avocado added. It was fantastic. I like their fries which are a little dark/burnt but I like them like that. I think the hemp burger is made fresh in house... it fell apart a little bit but it was delicious. My friend I think had biscuits and gravy for breakfast which she said was also good. Service was much more prompt this time around.

We were just passing through evergreen and found this little gem online while searching for vegetarian options. Even at dinner time there was no wait. The food was the freshest I have had in awhile! Delicious crisp veggies in my Black Bean and Quinoa taco salad. My girlfriend got the wild caught salmon entree and it looked amazing as well. She loved it. Full bar with a good mojito too. I hope I find myself back in Evergreen just so I can eat here again!
(4)Spencer V.
So we've been back 3 times and wine go back. I wanted to like this place, and while service was good, food has declined since my first visit. Last two times we are there, literally, not one thing was "good." Mine was, well, slid to the site of the table after a few bites. My partner's meal was more edible but still a disappointment. I wish I had time to detail which menu items and why we disliked then, maybe I'll update later. SUM: people used to speak of this place as an Evergreen convention, something to try. Now I wouldn't recommend it though, sorry to say.
(2)Randy B.
Darn. Now my favorite burger place is in Evergreen. Right below the dam and what used to be the Dedisse Ranch many years ago. Interesting Colorado history. If this 100 year old dam with cracks all over it doesn't fail while you are eating, you will be fine. But I digress. A great burger, really nice customer service, and a very odd setting. On your way in the door, on the lower level, you are actually in the kitchen. Take a look around. Is it clean enough for you? Some of it was a little suspect, but I have an iron stomach, so I went up the stairs to eat. The burger was great. The fries are great, and the atmosphere was rustic and relaxed. Worth a visit. Really friendly service.
(4)Amy S.
What a cute little restaurant to stop at after a long hike! Has a hippie/bohemian feel to it, and all beef is grass fed and local. I had the gorgonzola and avacado burger. They hooked the avacado up! Probably had at least a quarter, if not more, of a whole avocado. Anyway, it was quite delicious, although their fries were nothing special. They also had quite a few (local) beers on tap, as well as breakfast drink specials.
(4)Caitlin D.
Yummy burgers and fries and excellent service!
(5)Amber T.
Excellent breakfast! Eggs Benedict with avocado makes the five star easy! Ciabatta French Toast was also outstanding.

I would love to write a review about the quality of the cuisine served at one world cafe, however I did not get the chance. Myself and a party of four other business associates met there for "Wednesday Mussel Night" after a long day. We were seated and at the table by 8:10, and at 8:30 we left when the server had still not taken a drink order. They were not busy, so I'm not exactly sure why the service was so horrendous. One of my associates said "Its just Evergreen." I was hoping that one world would have provided a better experience, but the server thanked us for leaving. I guess they dont need the business.
(1)Matt M.
One World may be the best restaurant in Evergreen. Very friendly service from long-time staff, and a creative menu that is always perfectly executed. It can be tough to get in on weekends because it's small but it's DEFINITELY worth the wait if you have one. Consistent favorites include Gorgonzola and avocado burger (medium, with fresh fries), and the fish tacos. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. Beer taps are very limited but there's usually a Colorado IPA and and amber or Kolsch available.
(5)Sylvia S.
Wonderful food and great service with Steven. Jelly was homemade and so was the sausage.
(5)Bonnie C.
I went here a few weeks ago and I am just now signing in to write a review. I have to say this was the best turkey sandwich I have ever had. It was called the 18er - turkey, bacon, avocado, sprouts, provolone, and garlic aioli on wheat toast. So delicious I didn't really want to share. So when my husband wanted to switch plates we did for about 20 seconds. Mine was so much better than his breakfast burrito. He loved my sandwich but I wanted my plate back. Great service too! Great lunch! - We were moving and that lunch break was desperately needed. Thanks!
(4)Dan B.
We just purchased a house in Evergreen and went to this place for breakfast one saturday morning. We had the French toast, Eggs Benedict and Scrambled eggs and hash browns. All I can say is.....FANTASTIC! The food and the service were excellent! I can't say enough about this little small fantastic restaurant....every dish was delicious and well made. This is going to be our new place!
(5)Aaron W.
The best breakfast and lunch in Evergreen! Not to knock the other, more popular joint down the street -- it's very good, but One World is consistently better. The burger with house-made bacon jam is killer. The breakfast skillets are stellar. The service is always so helpful. One World is our favorite mountain cafe.
(5)Angela W.
Good food. I recommend the eggs benedict with mushrooms. So yummy. There was only one server for the entire place during breakfast but that was ok. My drink was always full.
(4)Anne B.
I lived up there for a while, near evergreen and always passed this place by, not knowing what i was missing. I really enjoyed my visit. It was the first time. I went for a brunch. I wish I knew about it sooner. Need to get the word out. Enjoyed the food and location.
(4)Shawna H.
Excellent food and excellent service! A little cramped for larger parties, but great atmosphere! Would definitely go back.
(4)Natalie H.
Revision of my first review, I have taken another go at One World Cafe and have been much happier with the results. Had a breakfast there and it was very good. They also have beautiful art in the walls. :-) :Wasn't happy at all. When my girlfriend and I got there for lunch at 1 pm we were asked to sit at a smaller table just in case a larger party showed up. Then we ordered from the specials menu and waited 45 min for our food. I ordered a Grilled Salmon Salad and my friend ordered the Monte Cristo (sp?) First we were given the wrong order, then we waited another 10 min then our food came out. My friends food came with burnt sticks I think were supposed to be French fries we weren't sure and I had a slab of mostly raw salmon on my salad. It wasn't grilled I don't think either due to the distinct lack of grill marks on it. My friends sandwich was bland and greasy, we were hungry and I ate around the raw parts of the salmon and picked at the salad. She couldn't eat the sticks, we were surprised the waitress would feel good about setting a plate down with fries that looked like that when another plate with some more just like them walked by... We were done. The waitress came by I pointed out my raw fish, she said it was sushi grade and that was how they cooked it. I was going to say that it was supposed to be grilled then she piped in that she could take it back and have them cook it some more.. I declined. She didn't ask about the uneaten sticks, I guess that is how potatoes are treated at The One World Cafe, cooked to death while the fish is served pretty much raw even though it was advertised as grilled. Boo!
(4)David C.
Great food. We had great service and the food was tasty.
(4)Susan R.
I live in Evergreen and One World is definitely my favorite. The food is sourced locally (grass-fed beef from a ranch a few miles away) and the chef's creations are always amazing. It's small and super quaint, and the staff are always friendly and ready to help even when they are packed. A great way to support our local non-chain businesses! Try the grass-fed burger with a fried egg on top, or the spicy spaghetti and meatballs.
(5)Rosanne D.
Just had to update my post....this is bar none the best food in evergreen. Delicious everything is home made and so good. We go at least weekly. Try it you won't be disappointed. Great beverages too.
(5)Erin E.
Oh, I love this little place! The patio is super cute to sit on and enjoy. Very friendly service and excellent food. The first time I was here, I had the curried chicken sandwich which was deeelicious. The next time I came in, it had been taken off the menu. When I inquired about it, the waitress told me not to worry, she would see if someone could whip it up for me....which they did.....seriously?! I felt like it was VIP treatment! Brunch portions were huge. I could barely finish my omelet, which looked like it had 6 eggs, or the enormous pieces of french toast. Bloody Mary's were nice and spicy, just like I like it. Pickles must be made in their own brine recipe which tastes off to me, but it could just be me :)
(4)Josh B.
Our first choice in Evergreen was closed, so we stopped into One World Cafe on July 4, a big mistake. It was crowded, and we were seated at the bar to wait for a table occupied by an inconsiderate single diner who sat there seemingly all day reading a book on her tablet. We eventually settled for a smaller table, since it was becoming clear that this wasn't going to be an enjoyable meal anyway. This place isn't tiny, but it's laid out very poorly, and there is very little room to maneuver. We're not handicapped, but if you are, note that the restaurant isn't accessible. You're faced with a steep set of stairs as soon as you open the front door, and one older woman nearly couldn't get down them without assistance. The 3 of us were seated at a two top, with a 3rd chair added, not normally a problem, but the restaurant is so badly designed that we had to constantly move to let people get by. They were also understaffed on a holiday, so we were pretty much on our own. The menu is pretty bare bones, and my wife and I got curried chicken sandwiches ("The Brit") while my daughter chose a burger from the kids menu. Our food took ages to arrive, and it was underwhelming, to the say the least. The sandwiches and even the burger were DRY, to the point of choking. $9 sandwiches so dry that I had to wash every bite down with a swig of water? $27 plus a very small tip (for me, I tip well) later, and we were outta there forever, never to return. I could have bought some tamales from the cart down the block and saved $20. The food would probably have been better too.
(2)P P.
Huevos rancheros were very bland. Biscuit needed more gravy. Bloody Mary was good. Service was meh. We have herd good things about the place tho. We'll give it another chance but not impressed so far.
(2)Zachary T.
Methinks not. awful. don't go.
(1)Jimmy M.
Dinner with my girlfriend after mountain biking 3 sisters. My burger was fantastic. Her salmon salad was great. Friendly service. Good time. Funky upstairs location.
(4)Patrick L.
Food is great and healthy! Atmosphere is very "mountain" oriented. I love this place and it am happy every time I come. Try a Sunday brunch after mountain biking. You will not be sorry!
(5)Floyd J.
I live in Evergreen, I'm a foodie, and I can't get enough of this place. The fish tacos are off the charts (they make their own tortillas--heck, they make their own EVERYthing), they've got a killer spinach salad with strawberries and brie, they've got a massive, spicy cheeseburger with homemade wedge fries, a savory, meaty cubano sandwich, creative pasta dishes, mussels.... I could go on an on (and I'm getting hungry thinking about it). And if that weren't enough, they've easily got the best beer list around until you hit the Yard House. They've even branched out with a food truck that goes down to Denver--in front of the Denver Beer Company on weekends, I think. Genuinely wonderful people who put a lot of thought, passion, and skill into the food AND into the community. Killer food, cozy, friendly. If One World Cafe weren't here, we'd probably move.
(5)R P.
The food was delicious albeit a bit greasy. The food quality is the best I've had in Evergreen so far. Its a small restaurant but the staff are friendly and take care of you. I can't wait to go back.
(4)Amy D.
I just love this place - it's so cute and quaint and the owners are super friendly. Met some friends last night before seeing another play in Evergreen and had to give another star for the BEST meatball sandwich I have ever had. Seriously. That just happened. We started with the Parisian cheese/fruit plate - once again it ROCKED. And this time sampled the bruschetta. Sooo yum. Warm, cheesy, olive-y, tomato-y. Just good. Split an Amaretto Indulgence for dessert (see: homemade vanilla, candied pecans and amaretto) and I had a nine-month food baby. But it was seriously worth it.
(4)Chris R.
After a few years, I've crossed it off the list. Last few meals were downhill. Service is glacial. And the last straw was when my friend got a sour and disapproving look from an employee who didn't like his political conversation at our table. Really? You can apparently talk about anything you want at One World; as long as you're a liberal. It was near election day. But there's no cause to ever treat a customer that way.
(1)Caitlin L.
Wonderful little restaurant on the side of the street. I had their island burger with bacon... adsolutely delicious burger with one hell of kick to it. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The view from the restaurant displays the beautiful mountains and town of Evergreen. I would definitely come back to this place and recommend it to people.
(5)Stephen P.
Great place, great vibe, great staff, great food. For a "mountain town," Evergreen is somewhat sprawly & charmless, but this place makes up for it in spades. I went for a Sunday brunch, where everything was right around $10, so many dishes sounded intriguingly creative, and both the specials of the day (peach french toast and some sort of tostada derivative) were delicious. Their approach to sustainable sourcing is just right, and their support of various causes is commendable without being overbearing.
(5)Mike E.
I met some friends at One World Cafe this weekend before going to see a play down the street. Someone in our group has been there several times and suggested we give it a try. What a great little place! We started with the warm brie app, it came with crostini, roasted garlic, sliced apples, and sliced grapes (bonus points for slicing the grapes - they can be real bears to stab with a fork when they're round!). For an entry I had the One World Chicken, which is curried chicken over either penne or rice, I went with the penne. What awesome flavor! Not too much spice at all, in fact I think I'll ask for it spicy next time. If you like curry you will love this dish, and give the penne a try, I'm sure you'll fall for it too. Good deals on wine, plus a full bar, adds to the draw. Parking wasn't too tough at all, I guess I can see how it might be a little dicey at the height of the tourist season. The service was great, very friendly and quick to offer opinions. I can't wait to get back up the hill so I can try something else on the menu!
(4)Don E.
Home of the $9 biscuits & gravy, the least expensive breakfast option on the menu(2 medium sized biscuits served in a cereal bowl, no toast, no hash, no eggs, no way) . What a complete bait-and-switch concept of a restaurant. After walking the Evergreen lake loop our family believed a small establishment located on the upper floor of an old building called "One World Cafe" would offer not only a unique experience but a "deal" as the name indicates a possible "pay what you can" concept now established in most every community in the country and profitable when the cuisine is worthy. So, when we entered the restaurant, we viewed copious pseudo hippie-garb hanging from the walls(peace flags, strange stencil art work, "crazy" vases with sunflowers, Marley playing on a loop, mis-matched everything from chairs to light fixtures to everything). The obvious attempt was to re-create a true down-to-earth experience and transport the targeted clientele to some place they might wish they could be, at least for a meal. If you love this place and doubt our concerns and issues, we have stayed in hostels all over the country, we genuinely know and appreciate what mis-matched plates, silverware, decor and the concept of the establishment attempting to make-do with what is available to survive. One World Cafe is a genuine hack job praying on this mis-matched everything attempt. Now to the $$$ prices. Yes, EVERYTHING is mis-matched. Purposely all the utensils, plates, cups, glasses, ect... are different and nothing matches which jumps out to the wary customer as "suspect". When viewing the menu with the owners attempt at "struggling to survive" you actually will do a double-take because the prices posted are ... freaking high, no negotiating this fact, these are prices only accustomed to airports and room service costs. -- $11 breakfast burritos, $12 omelettes and really all of the menu is ridiculously priced. YES, we did order the LEAST-EXPENSIVE option, the $9 biscuits and gravy. Yes, 2 biscuits, covered in gravy in a standard-sized cereal bowl and once again, NO, it was just a $4.50 biscuit x 2 and nothing else was presented. FYI: This was Saturday morning, 10:15AM and we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant.... the locals know and now hopefully now you know. FYI #2: The biscuits & gravy were great..... we would return if the owner(s) represented prices that worked with what was offered.

This is a small little mountain town cafe that's just at the edge of downtown Evergreen. Emphasis on "small". A very narrow staircase leads you up to a very tiny dining room and a bar that really doesn't fit more than three people comfortably. I sat at a seat next to the wall and was so cramped that I ended up eating fast and paying before I finished because I was getting claustrophobic. The food was good, I went with the breakfast sandwich, with sausage, cheese and egg and a side of bacon. It came with some home fries which were pretty good, I liked the sandwich but the egg was just a little too thick so it overpowered everything else. I skimmed it down and ate the excess with some hot sauce. That's me, I like to solve problems. Applewood smoked bacon always makes for a wonderful treat. They also serve beer and wine and of course, your traditional breakfast cocktails. I'd come here again, the menu is small but complete, and the gals were very friendly.

So glad my friend brought me here! She comes here whenever she visits Evergreen. I tried two sandwiches, the chicken curry and the garden veggie. Both were excellent and so glad we decided to share them. Great service too! Try to get a spot on the patio.

Always fresh, always delicious. Fun and eclectic mountain atmosphere. I haven't had dinner here yet, but I've had numerous lunches and I've never been disappointed. Someone said the portions are small but they are just right especially since the quality is so good! I wouldn't hesitate to suggest dropping in for a bite after spending some time on the local trails, shopping or just driving by.

After a day spent in the mountains, the bf and I were trying to find a place for dinner. Well we stumbled upon One World Cafe and what a pleasant surprise! You walk upstairs into the cozy dining room with a full bar and not a whole lot of tables. I LOVED this place. Everything about this place was right up my alley and I experienced great vibes through the whole dinner. I cannot wait to go back!!
(5)Karyn S.
Staff is fabulous here and they always help me with gluten-free options! Great for lunch when you are hiking in the area!
(4)Rick M.
Good food, nice, diverse, and creative menu. Owners are super cool. Good beer and wine selection and great location by the lake. Prices reasonable and most portions are good size. My only gripe is the Reuben. They've put their own interpretive twist on this, so be warned. It tasted fine but it was not a Reuben in the classic sense, and the size was rather small. Otherwise, tho, we really like this place!
(4)Phyllis A.
I love this place. Susan, Rick and the team are committed to local, fresh and affordable. My girls can't get enough of the strawberry fields salad, Q pasta dish and the key lime pie. I have a hard time deciding between the curries, fish tacos, the Greek goddess salad and the veggies with Braggs. While parking can be a challenge, it's completely worth it so head on in!
(4)Pam M.
Delicious little hippie cafe! I'm currently obsessed with the Goddess salad--a Greek style salad that always hits the spot. The burgers are great and made with locally sourced beef. I haven't made it for dinner yet, but I'm sure it is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The small space isn't necessarily kid-friendly, but the staff help to make it feel otherwise.
(5)Stephanie S.

(1)Bonnie S.
(5)Rica G.

Others have already said it well so I'll not belabour the review. Floyd J's review was spot on; Great food using mostly fresh local ingredients. Friendly staff and more friendly owner along with a relaxed hippy (in a good way) cozy atmosphere. This is our go-to place in Evergreen.
(4)Ann M.
(4)Shawna H.
Excellent food and excellent service! A little cramped for larger parties, but great atmosphere! Would definitely go back.
(4)Steve F.
(4)Brian W.
(2)Kendra L.

(4)Randy B.
(5)Amy S.
(5)Shawn G.
(1)Sylvia S.
Wonderful food and great service with Steven. Jelly was homemade and so was the sausage.
(5)Matt M.
(4)M P.
(2)Jefferson H.
Great place, great vibe, great staff, great food!! Try this place out and you won't be dissapointed!!
(5)Susan R.

Boo!

Great food. We had great service and the food was tasty.

I like the vibe, I like the staff, and if I was hungry chances are is like the menu too.

new owners- unreal food. great for anyone w any dietary restrictions. All of their food is local including meat and eggs. as a vegetarian I love it. great drinks too.
(5)E H.
(4)R P.
(5)Don E.

So glad my friend brought me here! She comes here whenever she visits Evergreen. I tried two sandwiches, the chicken curry and the garden veggie. Both were excellent and so glad we decided to share them. Great service too! Try to get a spot on the patio.

(2)Jefferson H.
Great place, great vibe, great staff, great food!! Try this place out and you won't be dissapointed!!

(1)Bonnie S.
(5)Stephanie S.
(4)pinche d.
(4)Steve F.
(4)Kayla M.
(4)Daron S.
(4)Kendra L.
(5)Spencer V.
(2)Shawna H.
Excellent food and excellent service! A little cramped for larger parties, but great atmosphere! Would definitely go back.

Boo!

(4)Brian W.
(4)Randy B.
(5)Amy S.
(5)Anne B.
I lived up there for a while, near evergreen and always passed this place by, not knowing what i was missing. I really enjoyed my visit. It was the first time. I went for a brunch. I wish I knew about it sooner. Need to get the word out. Enjoyed the food and location.
(4)Amber T.
Excellent breakfast! Eggs Benedict with avocado makes the five star easy! Ciabatta French Toast was also outstanding.
(5)Shawn G.

Methinks not. awful. don't go.

(4)R P.
