Food is ok, SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS. We waited a little bit to be seated then waited a long time to have our taken. Since it was taking a long time, we ordered more chips and salsa. After all that time, another table was sat and they got their food before us. We finally got the chips and salsa after our food was brought out. I wouldn't go here if you are hungry or have little time. Fajitas were very overcooked and bland. I started to notice that the place is very dirty, and then I noticed there was debris in my water. If you look at the staff, they all look sad and miserable, which is very much reflected in the service and the way the restaurant is run. The health inspector would probably shut this place down upon inspection.

Do not go here!!!!!! The food is horrible especially the beef!! The forks bend so easily, and the waiters put there fingers in your drinks. Also my friend order Dr Pepper and it didn't even taste like Dr Pepper so the refill it three times and it tasted like Pepsi. Finally the waiters got mad at us when we asked for a different drink because it didn't taste like that. the bathrooms had pee all over the floor. Once again do not come here it is a waste of money

I wish I loved this place because it's easy to get to, conveniently located off I-70 and close to some great shops that I frequent. But even after several attempts, I just can't fall in love with the place. It's ok and has a varied menu. The service is always good and the staff is friendly. The margaritas come in three sizes - normal, big and fishbowl. Tequila fans will be pleased. If you think you want a glass of wine (and unfortunately I took a friend once who's a wine drinker, not a tequila drinker) this isn't the place. She asked for a wine list and the server told her they have two kinds of wine - red and white. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it because the food is good Mexican fare. Unfortunately, it's nothing special.

Pretty good Mexican Food. Did take out once and dine in another time. Ordered the same thing both time so. I get the Fish Tacos.... they taste pretty good but my biggest complain is they are served with these little itty bitty tortillas (See picture) It makes it a mess and impossible to eat. I wish they were served with bigger and less in number tortillas. I also get a size of rice which is mediocre but good. Boyfriend I believe gets the double burrito thing (one chicken one beef) and e seems to like it. They are fairly spicy but still good... just a warning their food is NOT bland. Their drinks look HUGE and delicious. I need to go here with a designated driver.

We really liked this place. The food was good to great. The service was average at best. The food makes up for the lackluster service. We enjoyed ourselves here b

Good looking Mexican decor, friendly service! The salsa they bring you right when you sit down is as authentic as it gets. Very spicy and tasty. I had the Enchiladas Divorcidados. I think I spelled that wrong, but it's two enchiladas with two different types of chili, red and green. Very tasty. The patio out front was great because we brought our dog and he could sit beside us while we ate. The happy hour specials look like a great deal having drinks priced as low as $2.50 although we weren't there for happy hour.

Great experience overall. We ordered enchiladas, tacos, tostadas, and burritos. They all were delicious! Good atmosphere and great service too, although we did arrive at 2 pm so there weren't very many people there. Recommended for sure!

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to. Their other location in Golden is great too. Table-side fresh guacamole was really great. The Margarita was A1 with real contents, not fake lime and corn syrup. Food was really good. People are nice. Everybody in town needs to support this place because restaurants have a hard time staying viable in this somewhat out-of-the-way location. Update: Actually the service here stinks so it's best to go here outside of peak hours.

Not sure why the othe guy gave this one star. Good mex food, fast friendly service and a great place to wait out traffic on our way to the hills. Will come back and you should too !!

After being in the car for ten hours, we were wanting some Mexican "comfort " food before our final stretch into Breck. After seeing the Yelp reviews, we tried El Señor Sol. We were seated quickly, and brought our chips and salsa ( which was good). But it went downhill from there!!!! We were never given any more salsa or chips, or refills on drinks. We asked if they had cheese sauce/queso and flour tortillas for the kids, they brought out 2 flour tortillas ( we have 3 kids) and a bowl of bland queso. Not seeing it listed on the menu or being told by our waiter, we assumed it was complimentary. When we got our bill he charged us $2 for the 2 tortillas and $6 for the bland Queso. When our food came out ( cheese, chicken, & beef enchiladas), it was ok Mexican food. My wife asked for an additional plate for the baby, and the waiter literally grunted at her and rolled his eyes. After that, we were not offered anything else ( drinks, Chips, asked if our food was ok, etc) and had to ask for our check from another waiter after a LONG wait. My advise, go Anywhere else! Food was ok, but service was horrible!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
