Doing the Lariat Loop, and stumbled across this aspiring NYC-style pizza joint. This New Yorker has high, high standards for what NYC-style pizza should be like, and such a phenomenon is rarely found outside of NYC. I will say that Anthony's does a creditable job in the right direction, especially for such an out-of-the-way locale. The flavors are right and the thinness of the crust is right; what keeps it from hitting the bulls-eye straight-on is that the crust is crispy (it should be floppy and not crunch when you bite into it). Nonetheless, Anthony's offers much closer to the real deal than most pizzerias this side of the Hudson, and is enjoyable enough in its own right. Friendly staff and nostalgic pics from home add to this restaurant's charm.

I can't speak negatively enough about this location. I've repeatedly given them a chance to redeem their quality of food and customer service and each and every time they've managed to make it the most miserable experience here in Evergreen. I'm assuming this is a franchise location and it's about time the entity that holds the franchise license comes in and cleans house. Good grief people. It's not that difficult to cook pizza properly for a set period of time at a predetermined temperature. It's a pity they are one of a handful of local businesses that have not joined the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce because I would have filed several complaints against this business as a member of the Chamber myself.

Have ordered Anthony before one time they delivered and hour and a half and the next said we were out of area or they said 2 hours. This place sucks

I have frequented this place for years and have always defended it even with the former filthy space and poor service but today I tried to order a pizza with 3/4 pepperoni. The other 1/4 without for my special needs kid and they said no. If they did it for me they would have to do it for everybody. Wtf? It's not like I asked for a different topping.,this place is a chain mentality, doesn't care for its customers and hires people that are rude. They don't belong here and will never get our money again. Imagine not allowing a child a plain piece of pizza?

As a whole, Anthony's Pizza makes good pies. The problem with this particular franchise location-not others-is there appears to be a lack of management. I frequently receive poor service. Once observed the employees drinking beer and jamming the radio, while telling people calling for deliveries they could not deliver today. Employees seem to be untrained and unconcerned with the operation overall. Hit and miss at this location- most of the time miss.

I personally have always loved Anthonys. I go to the one in Stapleton all the time. And I'm pretty sure my last experience will be the last time going here ever. I called ahead to order my food. Hey I work at a very busy office I like to pop in and get my food then leave. So I called. I work not even a minute away and asked if I could order ahead of time for my two slices of pizza. I was rudeley told that they dont do that. I get there not even given eye contact by a rude person at the register. Ordered my food. Hand him my card. Oh we dont take discover. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. So I went to Tuscany Tavern. A little further away Much better food much nicer people. I am done with Anthonys.

No greeting, or thank you. Cashier could have cared less. I was the only customer. Cashier ate at counter with scraggly dirty hair hanging in her face. Pizza under done. Won't return. Won't post unless I allow 2 stars. Deserves none

Two times now I've gotten our pizza home and it was very undercooked and doughy. It's a bummer because when it's cooked right it's really good pizza. The wings are a disappointment.

I don't think this place deserves two stars, but I'm not sure it lives up to the NY Style hype either. Yes they moved to a new location, it feels a bit more generic now but eating in isn't really what the restaurant seems to be going for. That being said, for the cheap price the quality is very good. I haven't experienced the same issues with service as other customers, but I don't frequent this place much. For a quick slice in Evergreen, Anthony's is a solid option.

This owner should be absolutely horrified! Not sure if they ever come into their own restaurant but it's a ghost town tonight. The staff (and I say that very loosely) are much more interested in socializing, hoping customers won't wait for an hour and a half for a pizza and their smoke break. Their pizza has been great in the past but I believe they don't care one way or another now. Pathetic!

Tried to order delivery twice. First time was told I was in their delivery area, then got a call an hour later saying the delivery driver couldn't get his car up my road........ so they couldn't deliver to me. I don't understand how you live and work in the mountains and you have a car that can't go up a slight incline, and your job is to drive. Had to cancel that order since I ordered because I couldn't leave the house which is WHY I ordered delivery. Tried to order delivery a second time, double checked that I was in their area, TWO HOURS goes by and no food shows up, I call to see where the food is, and they said they had to cancel since I am not in their area and that they called me multiple times, even though my phone shows NO MISSED calls. By this time it's after 9pm and it's now too late to try to wait another hour for food somewhere. So pretty much if I could give them ZERO stars I would I am not going to be ordering their mediocre pizza ever again. Colorado can you please your stuff together and get a decent pizza place, like a REAL NY pizza place?

This is my kids favorite pizza place! Cheesy fresh pizza with good seasoning. We love the Neopolitan but not the Sicilian, no delivery that we know of so have always picked it up..... hmm whats for dinner tonight.

Went to Anthony's for lunch. They have moved to another location in the same Safeway shopping center. We ordered a salad with chicken that came without the chicken The salad came piled high and after notifying the staff, got some pre-cooked chicken in a plastic cup. We order a gluten free small pizza with extra cheese and it came with very little cheese. We also ordered half a Sicilian pizza, which had plenty of cheese and toppings. It took a little longer to cook the Sicilian pizza, but the staff warned us it would take about 15 minutes to cook and we agreed, so it was OK for us to wait. Overall it was good but not great. We went there because we wanted pizza and one person needed gluten free crust.

Best pizza in a a town where good food is hard to get. Best way to do it -- half-baked. Half-baked Julia, they call me - no pun intended. : ). But, seriously... It's good.

Great Pizza, but absolutely the worst service ever. Dine in are placed behind called in orders, waited an hour and 15 minutes for a cheese pizza. No apology, discount, just stupid looks from help, " we're really busy". Can't believe they stay in business...bad...bad.... Bad!

I agree with David S.'s review. When Anthony's delivers, they deliver a very tasty quality pie. Actually, they are my go-to place for pies. I was living in Conifer for 5 years and used the Conifer Anthony's. They were great. I just recently moved to Evergreen and have used them twice. Both times my pizza was undercooked. This last time it was just plain doughy. I went in to their location, ordered my food at the register and waited while they cooked my pie. I was the ONLY ONE in the restaurant, and not kidding, EVERY SINGLE TABLE WAS DIRTY. They couldn't be bothered to clean. Granted, I did mention to them that the tables needed to be wiped off and one of the girls actually did it while I was there, so points to her for that. Also, the music they were playing was death-metal. Great for if you are into that sort of thing, but probably not conducive to enjoying a pizza if you wanted to stay and eat. The manager needs to reign their employees in at this location and retrain them on how long it takes to cook a pie.

The Pizza in Evergreen is usually burned on the bottom. They dont burn it in other locations, so maybe they have trouble with the altitude? Also, the Evergreen location plays loud metal music, so much so, that its all about the employees and not about the customers experience.

Anthony's Pizza is a great pizza place. We get pizza from them on a regular basis. I don't know what Cynthia L.'s problem was with the place it's really not that bad. In fact some of her claims are ludicrous for example claiming that the place is "roach infested" is most likely hyperbole as I've lived in Evergreen for 30 years and have never seen a cockroach in the entire town much less Anthony's. I don't recommend dining in at this location for a date or anything (Anthony's is not big on atmosphere and its silly to expect a fine dining experience from them) but it's fine place for bringing the kids along to. Bottom line: it's a great greasy pizza place. Enjoy it for what it is.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
