The Golden Leaf Inn is a newcomer to the Estes lodging scene, but you wouldn't know it by staying there. The care, beautiful design and relaxing atmosphere this inn provides are ageless commodities. This B&B is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. There are several cozy corners to curl up with a good book (ample shelves provide countless titles in which to escape). It is set in a wonderful location with stunning views. The home is within walking distance to downtown Estes (and even closer to a free shuttle stop), but it is off the beaten path enough that you feel refreshed and hidden away in the mountains. Attention to detail makes this darling B&B stand out. Namely, the innkeeper Monica's sweet presence and delicious culinary concoctions. She performs her job with grace and joy, and seriously makes a mean scone. This review would be remiss, however, without mentioning the line of personal products the Golden Leaf supplies. Oh, my goodness the PAYA brand of organic shampoo/conditioner/lotion/body wash is actually worth a trip just for a bath. I've never smelled anything so scrumptious as the papaya-scented line. Oh by the way: Every room has a Sleep Number bed. (Ready for an awesome night's sleep?!) There is also a chemical-free hot tub on the back patio. Bring your swim suit. Thanks, Golden Leaf Inn & Monica for an amazing night away in the woodsy Rustic Royal room. We'll be back!

There is a precision to this place that is incredible. Every piece of furniture, artwork and trim feels intentional and purposeful! It's like there's nothing accidental or casual--no stone is left unturned. It is highly apparent the owners lack no vision and have poured themselves into crafting a place of excellence! And the cooking and hospitality...WOW! The innkeeper gets it! She has turned a job into an art form! This place is so peaceful--you can feel it the minute you step on the property.

I absolutely adored every moment of my stay at the Golden Leaf Inn. Upon walking into the craftsman-style home, I was immediately enveloped in a sense of peace, and the smell of homemade cooking. There is always a french-press pot of coffee available, with Monica's (the innkeeper) incredible homemade biscotti. I highly recommend staying at the Golden Leaf Inn every single chance you get. You need to experience it for yourself to fully understand just how amazing it is.

I only have great things to say about The Golden Leaf! We stayed in the Long View room. It was extremely clean! Sleep Number beds. Best night sleep, super comfortable. Monica is the sweetest, most friendly host and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. She knows the town very well and has great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Five star amenities (high quality bed sheets, towels, and a fun Welcome basket w/ delicious goodies). Morning breakfast was perfect. Coffee, delicious vege omlet & apple sausage, fresh fruit and juice. Monica will accommodate any food likes/dislikes/allergies. She went out of her way to make the best GF blueberry scones! She serves fresh, organic, local grown food. The house is a 10min walk from downtown but feels like you're tucked away in the mountains. The house is beautiful, the decor is soothing. The hot tub out back, the rocking chairs under the covered porch overlooking the ranches & mts., were all perfect additions to a great stay. We will definitely be returning. Thanks again Monica!

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still close to the park entrance and town center, Golden Leaf was an ideal stay for us. We stayed in the Rustic Royal room and it was luxurious from the get go. Monica is an amazing host and she really took a personal interest in making sure our stay was comfortable. Her cooking skills are amazing and you should not miss the breakfast. We would not hesitate to stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Stayed 2 nights--everything was great. Location was perfect, away from the tourist madness. Rooms are smallish as is typical with an older home, but like everything in the house, well-appointed, cozy and comfortable. This was a real b&b breakfast--hearty and satisfying. The manager was helpful with all our requests and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the Creative Copper room and it was a lovely experience. We called to book a room right before closing time and Monica was very accommodating to leave our room open so we could come in very late even after hours. When we got in there there was 24 hour coffee and tea available, chocolates and two water bottles for us to keep. The room was lovely with jetted deep tub which was awesome to have a romantic bubble bath in. The robes offered were thick and cozy. The bed was really comfortable and we had the best nights sleep we had in a while. The view was nice as it sits on a hill overlooking some of the town. Breakfast was amazing. She made artichoke soufflé with fruit and blueberry scones. Strawberry water, orange juice, coffee and several teas were also available. Very warm and hospitable experience.
