So there's this hotel resort thing, see? And hidden inside it is a great little "English pub" kind of place. Great wings, with good portions of meat on the bone. A decent selection of beer, including craft beer available. They have a bunch of their own brews as well, which were respectable. They have a number of dart boards, and a bank of about 6 pool tables as well, for groups to have a fun time. My co-workers and I focused on the beer and food, but the atmosphere was good, despite the odd location.

Loved this place. Love the Rueben, and their fries are awesome. I really enjoyed the pinot noir and malbec wines. Their old fashioned was pretty good too. Friends also had the chicago dog and cheese pizza which were loved. Best part is the place is open late AND there is free pool, darts, shuffleboard or foosball and they have a tv for watching sports. Also, I hear they have great happy hour but I didnt manage to make it to one. This was my favorite place while I was there.

My wife and I happened to be staying at the Inverness without any idea that The Spotted Dog was there. We loved the atmosphere and the service was next to none. You feel like family and can play pool, foosball, shuffleboard, etc. for free. We've gone back numerous times as our favorite local bar even thought its in the bottom of a hotel. You can't go wrong by going here for a drink. Oh and there drafts (i.e. guiness, fat tire, etc.) are cheaper than a bud lite bottle during happy hour!

Went here for a work sponsored happy hour recently and I have to say that this is a really nice bar kind of tucked in the basement of the Inverness. All the staff were really nice and apparently remembered the names of some of my co-workers, which was cool. "Where everybody knows your name," right? Pool and foosball were free, and after a couple beers the place got really loud. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is probably not even their fault. The food that was served was wings, spinach and artichoke dip, and calamari. An eclectic mix that made me decide to just wait til I got home to eat something :)

This is probably one of the cooler hotel bars I've ever been to. Located in the basement of The Inverness, it has a very pub vibe to it, minus the rowdy drunkards and deafening noise. It's offers a decent variety of beers on tap, including the locally brewed. I didn't love the food, but I usually don't from any hotel bars. It's a bit overpriced too for the simple food, (~$13 for a burger and fries) but that's to be expected from within a hotel. The beers were actually at a fair price, starting at $5 a pint. What makes this place really cool is the pool tables, foosball, shuffleboard and dartboard. All are completely free, and are clean and physically in good shape. And with tons of TVs all around, it's definitely a great escape away from the hotel room without going too far. Convenient for those on business travel! I probably wouldn't make a specific trip here if I wasn't staying in the hotel, but I'd recommend anyone staying in the Inverness take advantage of the offerings.

Very good pub and I'm a harsh critic. Good bourbon selection and the food is on par with NYC - where I'm from - so I liked it and I'll be back. Fun atmosphere and games to play make for a good time plus the people are friendly.

The Spotted Dog is a fun spot to come and hang out and enjoy an English beer along with free games like billiards, darts and foosball. Their happy hour buffets are fantastic and the staff is always friendly. I took off a star for having old and nasty darts and only two sets so you wouldn't be able to play with more than two people.

I have been here a couple times and it really is a great "find" for the suburban bar scene. It's not a scene-scene, but as a married 33 year old, that's not really what I am looking for in a bar! It has a decent happy hour- $4 wines and beer and possibly wells. On Thursday nights they have a free taco bar and on Fridays they do all-you-can-eat shrimp. There is free pool, foos ball, darts, and shuffleboard. I've never seen it super crowded so you can always play at least one of the games. I think people forget about it since it's in the basement of the Inverness Hotel and I probably should have kept this review to myself because now I might not be able to get onto a table!! Anyway, if you're in the area and looking for something fun- it's a great casual place.

The Spotted Dog IMO is one of the best Happy Hour spots in the South Metro. They have beer & wine specials, free games like billiards, shuffle board, foosball, and darts. They also have several large HDTVs for watching sporting events. The best thing is their free taco bar on Thursday and the free peel and eat shrimp on Friday. They are located on the lower level of the Inverness Hotel and they have a good crowd on most evenings between 5:30 - 7:30 PM. The staff is friendly and they also offer a full menu if you want something other than the Happy Hour fare. The Spotted Dog does not have much of a singles scene rather is just a great place to hang out.

English pub??? well more like a basement bar in an old "Eighties" nice hotel. service was pleasant, no complaints there but the atmosphere was blah. I could see making it a party if you had a huge group as the place is very large. food selection and beer selection average at best......hoped for more....
