I fell in love with these steaks when the owner lived in Bird City, KS and ran the "Big Ed's Steakhouse". These steaks are tender, well seasoned, and huge. The value is amazing. I love this steakhouse. Service has always been great, and the place is well decorated and clean. I love this steakhouse!

Went for dinner tonight with my fiancee' place was nearly empty but the service was great. Prices were reasonable and the steak was good. So large it cooled before I finished but the server was happy to take it back and cook it a little more [it came out perfect the first time]. Its in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip! i'll come back.

Good steak. Poor salad bar. Bad hamburgers.

We really like this place. Steaks are very good. People are super nice. Salad bar is good since it is included but selections are a bit slim. But not bad. Atmosphere is kind of like a big dance hall or something. Huge fire place. Big bar with old tv. Limited beer selection but full bar. But go there for the beef. Especially liked the ribeye and filet.

A rustic steakhouse situated in the Colorado plains surrounded by cattle ranches, equine stables and wildlife. It was a serene almost mystical scenery as we drove through the valley. There was a mist in the distance with a patch of light touching the mountains. It would be a shame if the suburbs spread to these lands. There are only three reasons I can think of to drive all the way out here for dinner: you or someone you know lives here, driving through, or you want a break from the suburbs or city life and try something different. The restaurant is hidden by the Kubota building when driving from the west. This place is a gem. We have been eating here since they opened. It has so much potential. They added an outdoor patio which is perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of beer. It's a great setting for a wedding reception (and I bet would be reasonably priced). They have friendly and fast service. There are numerous options for appetizers. The "beef" is locally grown. My husband loves the quality of their meat and how they prepare it. They have prime rib Thursdays through Sundays only. I usually have appetizers as my meal. The entrees are simple and hardy. We love the simplicity and richness of this place. Sometimes we don't crave fancy or complex dishes - we just want straight forward and uncomplicated food. We will continue to support this country gem. It's totally worth the drive if you can appreciate simple things in life.

Nice large building. Coke products. Prime rib sandwich was very good. Chicken stick sand so -so. Found out place has been here for 8 years but needs some TLC in the parking lot and just little things to make this place a 4 or 5 star place. Curb appeal goes a long way. I also think the inside cooler ads a hum to the place which just makes it noisy when cooler kicks on.

If you want steak that tastes chared ( no steak under 30 bucks a plate) its okay I paid for two filets french fries a roll that was pasty, salad & the munch bunch appetizer that tasted like barf. 4 well drinks in tiny little glasses came to 142.00 without TIP! All I can say is way to expensive. I could have bought a a half of a quarter of beef for that price!

We went there when they first opened. The owner was so rude when we complained about the cold steaks but hot, packaged sore cream that we left & have never been back. No excuse for being rude. We thought about trying them again, but not sure we want to waste our time or money!!

Over priced, poor service, small portions, frozen appetizers reheated for high cost. Hamburger was smaller than McD's and just about as good. Steaks $20 and up? No reasonable priced steak, We had to get our own menu's, silverware and chairs. Waitress had 2 tables. 2. Steaks caught on fire and everyone just watched. Amazing. we actually laughed when they brought us the "sampler" of appetizers. 2 of each in a tiny basket for $10. The salad bar?A joke! $7 for a salad one can buy at Safeway with all the stuff for 1/2 the price??? Unbelievable. Won't go back and if I were a resident I'd be going the few extra miles to Parker or Southlands to Ted's for FRESH food, ample portions for same or lower cost!

This steakhouse could possibly be a 4/5 star if they made a few more upgrades to there menu. Took a nice trip there today with my family. The price of the steak was a little overpriced but overall the quality of the steak was very good. Service was great. The two negative I would have to say is there appetizers and The use of a microwave. Not sure why they used the microwave but I know one of our dishes went in it. For a steakhouse microwaves are bad. We had the sampler appetizer plate. My guess is that the majority of the items served were frozen and then deep-fried. Overall I will probably go back at some point in the future.

Man I took a chance after reading the reviews with this being the closest steakhouse to where we were at the time. Both of us ordered the prime rib and I honest think my ariat boots would have been easier to chew. Only reason for two stars is the waitress was nice and did a good job. As mentioned before very over priced!

Really overpriced for near Ponderosa quality steaks. Salad bar is $8/trip for iceberg lettuce and a couple dressing options.

This place is terrible!!!! Went there last weekend. I ordered the filet and what I got was not what I ordered. I ordered it medium and got it very well done and turned it over and it was burned!!!! Interesting how they had the burned side down. Sent it back and by the time I got another one everyone was done with their meal. Also it was undercooked and on the back side they cut into it. It was also not a filet!!!! When I complained they did nothing but argue with us. In the end I had no dinner. Do not go to this place!!!!!!!
