Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Buzzard's is owned by the same folks who own Kiowas Pizza Place (in Kiowa, CO). This place has only been open for a couple weeks. It was hugely popular (for Elizabeth) from day one. I tried to go here the first week, but was looking at a 45 minute wait, so I went to Wingnuttz (always a good option). Buzzards is open on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is something of a rarity in Elizabeth. There are only 10 tables, so if you arrive at a peak time, you may have to wait. On my recent visit, I had excellent service from my waitress. My salad was cold, and my calzone was hot. The salad was okay, but not great. It was obviously bagged and somewhat watery iceberg salad mix, with a few other things thrown on top. I would have preferred some more interesting leafy greens. The golden Italian dressing had a nice flavor and thick consistency. They do not do slices here, but you can get a personal sized pizza. It would seem that the combos are a better deal than the "build your owns". I believe my meat lover's calzone contained 4 kinds of dead animal, and cost about $2 less than if I had built my own 4 ingredient one. I thought the calzone was pretty good, and I am sure that many of my guy friends would have really liked it. It was a goodly size and was so full of protein that I made two meals from it. The crust was the right combination of chewy and crispy. The marinara on the side was rather bland. It could definitely have used a hit of garlic, oregano, basil, etc. All in all, it is nice to have another pizza option in Elizabeth.

Great pizza and service. Not crowded, or anyone else in there while we had lunch, but a very nice experience. Server was very friendly and helpful. Pizza was priced appropriately and delicious. Drinks were big and didn't need refill. Doesn't look like much from the outside but nice interior. We plan to return on a regular basis.

You get a great tasting, no greasy pizza for a great price! Great customer service as well! Best pizza in Elizabeth !

My husband and I ate here for the first time last night and we were pleasantly surprised. The pizza is absolutely delicious! We had the World Series and we finished a large between the two of us. The crust is unbelievable. It's thin but not soggy or burnt. The edges are chewy and it tastes like they brushed some olive oil and garlic/herb concoction all over it. The toppings were fresh and not over cooked, and there's hardly any grease. Only complaint is the size of the place is really small and there were a LOT of kids there, so escaping the noise was impossible. We definitely will eat here or at least get take out from here again. The only reason for 4 stars is the size of the place and the noise. The pizza is absolutely worth 5 stars!

I was just in town for a family get-together. We decided to go to Buzzard's for pizza on a Friday night. There were eight of us we ordered three large pizzas - two with meat and one with veggies. I was unexpectedly surprised at how delicious the pizza was. The crust was perfect and there were ample veggies on my pizza. Since there was not one single slice left over I can only assume that the meat pizzas were just as good. In addition most of us had salads which were quite tasty. Almost all the guys ordered beer but I ordered a glass of wine. I was hoping for a Chianti but had to settle for a Merlot - my only complaint. As you would expect on a Friday night it was quite busy however my niece made reservations so we were seated right away. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for pizza lovers and the next time I'm in town I'll be sure to stop by.

Pretty good pizza, better than I expected traveling back to Denver from Kansas, better than your other options within 30 minutes but not worth a special trip.

The pizza is fantastic and the Fire Hot wings are delicious! The servers are always pleasant. I do think it's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it!

The pizza here is my favorite hands down. Once for lunch I tried a sandwich and it was terrible, so I'll just stick with the perfect pizza from now on

I can not believe how good this place is. I have to admit, I have given it a glance from time to time but the building and name didn't seem too appealing so I never gave it a shot. What a mistake, this place is awesome!!! I can only speak for the pizza, but it is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. We ordered the super giant size, not realizing just how big that would be- it fills the entire table. The crust is thin and flaky and crispy- not soggy or doughy or limp. The sauce is flavorful and the cheese is tangy. The meat toppings were plentiful and decent quality. The giant pizzas are cut into squares so you can choose a piece with crust or a center square without crust. Leftover pizza reheated in the oven at home was just as good- that doesn't happen with Costco pizza! The service was excellent. From now on, anytime I have out of town visitors I will FINALLY have a nearby restaurant to bring them to. The inside was quaint and clean, not at all the dive I pictured it would be. Lesson: don't judge a book by its cover and don't be afraid to eat at a place called Buzzards.

The pizza here has gone down hill. Seems like they changed the dough or something like that. The crust used to be thin and crispy NY style. It is now thicker and like Wonder bread. I use to get pizza from here to take home or eat in a couple of times a month but have given up on this place. Long way from Elizabeth but Parry's Pizza in Parker on Lincoln is the best.

Wow. What a surprising find. We were driving thorough town and stopped off for a quick lunch. The Italian hot grinder was particularly tasty!

Delicious pizza. Service was also good. It's a small little place, but the interior is very nice. They don't deliver yet, but they are working on it.

Their pizza is delicious, especially their "home run" pizza. Glad they got beer to go with it, but they could improve thier wine selection.

Heard great things from friends and needed a last minute place to stop for food. Very welcoming staff, and atmosphere is very laid back, but inviting, clean and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and easy going. The girls even interacted with our boys. We can't usually take our three boys out to dinner but this atmosphere was perfect. Much larger inside than it looks outside and TV's on the wall, made for a very relaxed place. The bread sticks were amazing, so soft and flavorful. The ability to customize a single family sized 26" pizza to 5 different preferences was perfect!! Will definitely be coming back!!
