I waited to visit this restaurant a few times before righting my review. Each time I've come I have had great food but less then par service. I would still still recommend this place because it is 5 star food. Make sure to plan lots of time if you come here because everything comes one step at a time. Also do t fill up on the free chips because their food is worthy saving he room for.

After reading many favorable reviews about Fiesta café, I decided to give it a shot. I came in and was promptly given chips and salsa. I decided to order the 3 item combo; spinach enchilada, Chile rellano, and a fish taco. It took about 15 minutes for my food to come out. The plate was filled with sauce that made it messy to eat. The chile rellano was the highlight of my dinner, while the other items were less than memorable. I expected more from the reviews that I read. While the price is reasonable, I thought the food could have been better. Also, I wanted to order shrimp but they had run out. The service was okay, but sometimes you had to tell the waitress twice. Compared to California and New Mexico, I've had better. I guess it's okay for CO.

Service- 3/5. Nice but not organized. Didn't get order correct, didn't fill waters or chips. Food- not horrible, but really not good. Chips were cold, salsa was tomato sauce, and dinners were bland, boring and over priced. Taco was inedible and fajitas ( with grilled tomatoes?) were very average. Friend liked the chicken enchiladas. Drink- the worst I've had in the area. The sangria was like a wine cooler infused with triple sec. The house margarita was not drinkable. We left all the drinks on the table... The server never asked why all the drinks were left and why so much food was left. Just dropped of the check on the way to another table. Pretty sad all together. Don't waste your money. Go eat italian nearby.

We were here 10 years ago so we wanted to try it again. The service was great, the food was ok. I got the Chicken Chili Rellenos. The chicken inside was nice and tender and they were covered in their famous white sauce. Served 2 on the plate along with Spanish rice and retried beans. My husband got the fish tacos and he said they were good. Overall though I think that is a been there done that experience for us. It was good but not exceptional.

Overall, it was an average experience in terms of the food. They are known for the jalapeno cheese sauce, which is cheesy but not spicy at all. Yes, it is pretty much good to drown everything you order with it. Ask for aside of it to dip your chips in. Otherwise, all the food is just standard fare.

Awesome food and great service!! My family and I were really craving some AUTHENTIC Mexican food - aka not from a place that also serves burgers and pizza and this is the place that I found on Yelp. reviews were good and seriously, it was amazing. Our server was very friendly, pretty much read our minds and the food came out very quickly! Next time we visit the Avon/Vail/Beaver Creek area, this is where we will go!

Maybe being from Texas I'm a little spoiled to good mexican - tex mex food...I was not impressed. Although the staff was very friendly the service was very poor. Our party of 8 was seated promptly so they were not busy. I had a house margarita and it was fine, but I also ordered a water and had to request it 3 times before it was finally brought to the table and we had to flag someone down any time we wanted refills. A few in our party ordered beers and they were warm. The chips were thin and crispy which is great but the salsa, both the mild and hot, lacked flavor. I ordered their fiesta combo which had an enchilada and chili rellano and it was good, but nothing spectacular. I requested sour cream with the plate and it was not added. I asked for it again after the food was brought to the table but it was never received. Everyone at the table ordered dessert....a few ordered the sopapilla sundae and the rest of us split a basket of sopapillas. They were huge and were steaming hot when we received so that was great, however when we asked for butter to go with the honey it was never brought. A person from the kitchen happened to walk out for something and we asked him for butter and he promptly retrieved some for us. The sopapillas were very thick...not quite what we are used to but they were fine. Over all the food was fine, a little pricey for what we got but I credit that to the location. The service however will keep me from recommending this to friends.

If you like ceiling tiles that are stained with water from a leaky roof, tables and chairs that are chipped , than this is your place. Cleanliness for us is a big issue. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is the statement. The food might be good but is overshadowed by how dirty the place looks. Clean this place up, shame on you.

Food was really good, a little soupy on the huevos rancheros but good on the flavor. Ate two combo plates till it was gone. The chile rellenos were fantastic. Spicy delicious roasted jalapeños. Interesting looking Sopia that was surprisingly delicious with organic honey left happy and full. Took away a star for service. Ate everyones favorite white sauce and it was enjoyed by all.

We had a combination plate of a hard taco, wet burrito, and enchilada. The enchilada was tasty: good red sauce and texture to the tortilla. The taco was bland but not unpleasant. The burrito was somewhere in between these two. It was a bit pricey, but I assume that's just the ski-town up charge / rentflation. On the good side, the service was friendly and prompt, and the chips and salsa were well above average. Altogether, it wasn't unpleasant. Bland tacos are better than no tacos. Get the enchiladas.

We live in Denver, but vacation in Beaver Creek often. This is by far the best Mexican food in either area! The rellenos are amazing, anything with the white jalapeño sauce is incredible, and the "All Natural" margarita is authentic and unbeatable! The restaurant is clean and upbeat, and the smell when you walk in will hypnotize you!

Fiesta's is a fantastic hole in the wall located in a strip-mall. We heard about this place through an acquaintance, and their recommendation was dead on. The server had come by several times before our entire party was there but then when we were all there she was no where to be found. But the food made up for it, and the service picked up. I've said it before, but the true test of a Mexican restaurant for me is their chili rellanos. Damn. Fiesta's were awesome! Sooo crunchy and cheesy! Mmmm... Rice and beans were just ok. Carne Adobada was savory but kinda dry. The blue corn tortilla chicken enchilada was great as well. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in these neck of the woods again.

Typical tex-mex fare of burritos, tacos and nachos, etc. Lots of cheese and sauce - but isn't that what you expect in a strip mall and at these prices (not pricey)? The staff is great and the fresh lime margarita pitchers are excellent! A great place for a group looking to relax and have fun over a margarita and burrito.

I find the Vail/Beaver Creek area is really lacking a good Mexican place, so 5 stars for the area. 3.5 stars if you are looking at it as a Mexican restaurant. The hostess (or who appeared to be the hostess), seemed a little flustered about seating and the restaurant wasn't filled. I would be hesitant to come here on a busy night. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. The table has an unlimited basket of chips and salsa. The chips are good, the hot salsa is fabulous, and the mild salsa is lacking something. The enchiladas were ok ... they come with white jalapeno sauce which was raved about. I'm not raving about it, the sauce was just ok. The enchiladas lacked any sort of kick I was expecting. The margaritas were solid and you could actually tell there was tequila in them. For the area, the best Mexican place I've been to; however not great Mexican.

I know New Mexican food because my Aunt Ruby from New Mexico is pure-blooded Spanish; her family was given a land grant by the King of Spain sometime around 1740. While New Mexican may be confused with Mexican, or even Tex-Mex, there are subtle differences. The place is indeed located in a strip mall, but it is nicely decorated and a fun environment. The salsa was some of the best I have ever had, thick enough to not fall off the chip, and non-acidic. I ordered the New Mexico-style chicken-fried steak, which is supposed to come with a green salsa but I asked to have them sub salsa roja, which they did. It came with the usual beans and rice and a side of flour tortillas. Our party of 14 worked the serveress pretty hard, but she came through with no screw-ups either with orders or multiple split checks. If you are looking for Mexican food, the New Mexican variety at Fiesta's will surely please your taste buds.

Sucked. Puddles all over a cheap plastic plate. Even the kids burrito was smothered. Food sub par. It's hard to screw up Mexican food but they've managed to do it. Chips are thin and brittle. Lighting and heat are harsh. Waiter tried his best to be accomidating but lack of quality in their food will close them down in time.

On vacation I always ask the locals where to eat. Fiesta's kept coming up, so after a grueling hike to Hanging Lake, we stopped in, exhausted and starved. Our waitress was fantastic. She looked at us, and could see we needed, water, Margarita's, and chips with Guacamole. STAT!!!! It was a pleasure to have someone make it easy to just say Yes. She wasn't trying to pad the bill, she was doing her best to take care of us. I was way past trying to think about what would be good. Further suggestions were made, and I couldn't have been happier with what arrived. The food is very reasonably priced. It's fresh and it's good. And the Margarita was fantastic as well. As I've written in other reviews, I love family owned restaurants. And this is no exception! The service was impeccable, and the staff all seemed to be on top of their game. There is a Lacrosse camp or something going on right now, and the kids have been wreaking havoc everywhere they go. Their entitled attitude and lack of manners is quite something to see. Apparently 50 of the little darlings left just before we arrived. There was food everywhere, the kids threw it on the floor, the chairs, knocked things over.... Picture 50 SPOILED young teenagers away from home... Reason for the brief story is because the staff of Fiesta's got everything in order and cleaned up within minutes. They still had a great attitude even after what must have been a very challenging service. If you are in the area, or passing through Edwards, make it a point to stop here, you won't be disappointed.

Had their special Margaritas. They were well worth the price ($9). The jalapeno cheese dip was as great as the other reviewer mentioned. We had to try their sopaipillas with cinnamon. They were one of the best we have had. Being CSU grads, we have sampled them all over CO. They had a nice kids menu that doubled as a coloring book to be used with the crayons that were available.

Wow what a good food find! Attention people out on the road - stop by Fiesta's New Mexican Cafe & Cantina. Driving through Colorado we were looking for some breakfast... I said, "there is a cafe maybe they have some bacon and eggs..." The place is very cozy and comfy. It has a nice warm feeling. Service was excellent. Well, I decided to go for some Huevos Marquez. Eggs smothered in green chili!!! My friend had a breakfast burrito and some menudo. Now I am not a menudo fan because usually the tripe is tough, but My friend said it is the best menudo! So - I had to try it. That was the best menudo I have ever had. The tripe was incredibly tender --- "it was like Butta!" I wish every mexican joint made menudo like that! Major Kudos to the person who makes the menudo at this place! Seriously - driving through the mountains of Colorado and we find a real good Mexican restaurant with menudo that is bueno bueno bueno! BTW - Notice I rarely give out 5 stars.

This restaurant would probably get more stars except for the fact we ate there on a packed Saturday night. All the servers were moving around frantically, no time for small talk. I ordered a meatless meal (vegetarian) but my plate came with a pork green chile sauce. It seemed the server tried to clarify this while taking the order, but between the language barrier and the busy pace it got lost. The tables are situated to maintain a maximum number of seated guests, and my chair happened to be slightly into the main walkway from the kitchen to the tables. I frequently got bumped and jarred by the hurried servers. Might be worth another try on a less crowded night.

We love the fresh endless hot salsa, but didn't try the mild. I personally like crisp thin chips so you can get more salsa in every bite, and they are bottomless too. I had a "NEW Mexican fiesta prime beef burger cooked to order. We each had a salad that wasn't on the menu and the greens were to my picky fresh level perfect. They could have had more choices for greens but the tomato's and avocado's were great. The hostess sat us at the quaint little bar and everyone was so friendly we felt right at home in minutes. We're from Miami mind you. They checked to see if the special orders were right and seemed very eager to customize our orders. I rate the burger 4, the salad 4, and the service a 5+. I wish I could give it a 4 and a half star rating. I like that its New Mexican food too, because its easier to customize.

I don't understand any negative reviews of this restaurant. The place is not at it's best when it is busy, and when it is busy there can be an hour wait. Most of the time you can sit right down and enjoy the local staff who is very friendly and enjoy some well priced specials. A tip worth noting is that many of their best items are not on the menu, like the salads. The menu could be updated with some healthier items, but you can order to suit your taste. Happy hour is from 4-6 and many of the favorite menu items are $3, not a bad deal for Vail! They serve breakfasts on weekends that include a Huevos Rancheros and an assortment of burritos that are inexpensive and very good. This is an excellent restaurant for families and they offer an easy carry out or delivery. They tend to be busy on weekend nights after 7pm, so for the best service go early and see why so many local patrons have made this a community landmark.

On a recent trip back to the area, this was tops on my list of places to eat. Have been eating here since the place opened (in a tiny spot in the strip mall) and have enjoyed it ever since. And this visit did not disappoint at all. The food and service were both great. And yes, it does get quite crowded most nights with tons of locals. The salsa was very good. Nice kick to it, but not too spicy. Tops on my favorite list are the rellenos. They are amazing. The carnitas (their version of fajitas) are always good. If you are not sure what to order, get the Tom Apple special. A plate of their best sellers. This place is not to be missed if you are in the area or driving through.

The one thing I really dislike about this place is that they leave their chips out on the table. It just seems wrong to show up and see chips sitting out in the open on empty tables. It makes you wonder how long they've been sitting there! Fiestas: Keep your chips warm and fresh in the kitchen and bring them out to your customers when they arrive like every other Mexican restaurant in the world does! My opinion of this place has improved somewhat. We've had some bad experiences here in the past, but we've given it another chance and it seems that it has gotten a little better. To me, the food is very bland tasting, but I'm used to the spicer Tex-Mex style which doesn't seem very popular here. I wouldn't say the food is bad, just that it is average, especially for the area. The staff is always friendly, but we have had some bad experiences with their service in the past. It is usually better if they aren't very busy. As a "traditional" style Mexican restaurant, Fiesta's is about average for the area.

On vacation from Texas and decided to give this place a chance. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by a friendly hostess, quickly seated and placed an order for chicken enchiladas, the flavor of the enchiladas were good but it was not authentic tex-mex nor mexican. Refried beans lacked in quality and Spanish rice lacked in flavor. Salsa was served too cold and I believe came from a can and not made in house.

Landed at Eagle airport and Yelp Mobile led me here. Boy, it didn't let me down. I'd have never of found this little gem otherwise. Tucked in a non-descript shopping plaza near I-70, Fiesta grill serves up locals and tourists with some darn good mexican fare. While the initial chips & salsa were kinda lackluster ( not warm, and salsas that were probably from a bottle ). The server was pretty friendly. Saw a bunch of locals, so that made me feel better about the place. My wife got the blue corn chicken enchiladas. She really enjoyed them. She usually doesn't finish her plate, but there was nothing to save when we were done. She really liked the enchilada sauce and her chicken was really tender. I had the Tom Apple's Combo, which includes a blue corn chicken enchilada, a carne de avodago (sp?) and a chile relleno. I'm not a real relleno fan, but the relleno was excellent. Cheesy with a nice crispish exterior. The blue corn chicken enchilada I had was really good. The chicken was chopped finely and wasn't overcooked and remained moist and tender. The carne de avodago was a tasty little pork burrito. The sauce was surprisingly spicy and the pork was super tender. The portions were a healthy size too. Some locals recommended we try the spinach enchiladas. My son enjoyed his quesadilla. Service overall was good. I'd definitely stop by here again on the way from Eagle Airport towards all the ski resorts eastward.

We stopped here after the rodeo a couple of weeks ago. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but it was terrible. I had the pork with green chile stew. it was neither green, nor did it have more than a tablespoon of pork. I'm not quite sure what it was. My sister had the ceviche and some enchildas. Both were lackluster. We waited and waited and waited for our dessert, which the kitchen never produced, although by that time the restaurant was pretty quiet. A big disappointment!

Had dinner here Saturday, September 4. Apparently Fiesta's was closed briefly while there was an issue with taxes, but they have re-opened, and it was packed. This is a family restaurant, and I think most of the family works in the business. Strip mall location with the typical interior décor one would expect from a midrange-priced Mexican restaurant. I had the loco azado burrito. It was delicious, and huge. My mom had another specialty burrito, and she loved it, although I can't remember what it was called right now. No wonder the place was packed! Also, maybe I need to re-think the concept of midrange pricing, because we ate the other halves of our burritos the next day for lunch, so the overall cost for the two meals (not counting the cerveza with dinner) was only about $7 per meal. Not too shabby. To sum up: Locally-owned and operated Mexican restaurant with delicious food in a casual atmosphere. You can get out of here at $20 (or less if you aren't drinking) per person easily. A great place to stop for lunch or dinner on your way to Vail or Aspen from Denver.... Think of it as your last chance to have a meal that doesn't cost you a small fortune before hitting the resorts.

I'd never been to Fiesta's! before, but the second the overly-chatty waitress placed the rather generic looking chips and salsa down on our table, I knew exactly what to expect. Fiesta's! (sic) is your typical local perfectly passable mini-mall Mexican restaurant, where I would put even money on the fact that most people order the 1 or 2 item combination, and 90% of those people order some sort of Taco/Enchilada pairing. These types of restaurants might as well be McDonald's/Starbucks, you know when you order a shredded beef taco/cheese enchilada combo, you'll get a side of "spanish" rice prepared out of a bulk mix from Smart & Final, a heap of refried beans gussied up with a handful of white cheddar, and a greasy beef taco and a sad little tortilla filled with cheese, soaked in a "red sauce". I had the Tom Apple combo, named after a local golf pro, and so perfectly passable that I forget what was in it, besides the obligatory rice and beans sides. I vaguely remember a chile relleno that wasn't deseeded and was pretty spicy, a blue corn enchilada (with cheese), and a carne adovado burrito which was juicy and tasty, though very small. If you're in the area and you're feeling homesick for your local perfectly passable mini-mall Mexican restaurant, Fiesta's! is the place to be.

This is Tex-Mex at its finest. We do Fiesta Express and pick up a dozen cheese enchiladas, a dozen chicken sour cream enchiladas which come with rice, beans, and a bag of perfectly fried chips (light and crispy and warm) with a good salsa for $40ish. This fed 9 people with leftovers to fight over at lunch. Call ahead and it is ready for you at the new express window; you no longer have to wait in the restaurant for pick up, However, we have had the margaritas in the past when we did have to wait and can tell you they are good if you go inside to eat.

Fiesta! Forever! Come on and sing my song.... found this spot on yelp, it was the closest thing to our hotel room that was reasonably priced. Bizarre to walk through the parking garage to get here, definitely felt like I was at the mall, but our expectations were low, and we were delighted. We got tacos, beef, chicken and fish. Totally serviceable meal for $25, beer included. Not out of this world, but I would say on par with any average San Diego Mexican joint. A little slice of home. It wasn't an amazing culinary experience and the ambience wasn't great, but it filled my belly without breaking my wallet or bumming out my taste buds. Would go again.

Fiesta's used to be my local favorite for Mexican, which isn't saying much in the Vail Valley. However, their food has gone downhill in the last 6 months. For a Texan, paying high dollar for poor Mexican food is out of the question. Hasta la vista Fiesta's.

This place has become a family tradition of sorts for the B's. We usually find ourselves in the area around the New Year's holiday, and we make sure and go out of our way to get to Fiesta's. I don't understand why, as native Texans all, we meet for Tex-Mex in Colorado, when the best places of that variety are in our own backyard, but Fiesta's in Edwards is pretty good. Spicy food can be found here! Mrs. B and I split the beef/chicken combo fajitas, and there was more than enough flavor jam-packed into the strips of the meat. I do feel, however, that I wasn't thinking Tex-Mex so much as Mex-Asian with the flavors of the dish. When I think Tex-Mex, I expect flavors inspired by jalapeno and habanero peppers, and the spice on the fajitas here hinted much more of red pepper, curry spice, and soy sauce. (Side note: I understand completely that soy sauce is commonly used as a brining ingredient for many recipes of agua negra that are used to marinate fajita meat, and in that regard is very much Tex-Mex. However, I believe the way Fiesta's used soy sauce was more akin to the way I would expect to taste it in a Mongolian Beef entrée at a Chinese café.) All this is not to suggest that the fajitas were bad; to the contrary, they were very good, and there was nothing left when Mrs. B and I finished with the entrée. I just think that calling this true Tex-Mex might be mislabeling it a little bit. There is one thing that rubs me the wrong way about the fajita entrée, though, and it is the question, "Where are the rice and beans?" This question first arose 2 years ago, when the family made a visit to Fiesta's. Mrs. B and Lil' Sis split an order of chicken fajitas. Everyone else's entrée came with rice and beans, but theirs came with only rice. When they asked if the fajitas came with beans, the server replied with a very quick, emotionless "No!" We didn't ask any more questions, as we had been put in our place after that, and it is still a running joke in our family to not ask for beans at Fiesta's. Now, when Mrs. B and I split our combo fajita during this past visit, I made sure to check the menu, which does in fact suggest that rice and beans should come with an order of fajitas. However, when the food was delivered, no rice and beans were to found with the fajita entrée. When we inquired of the server this time around, she very politely told us that rice and beans do not come with the fajita entrée. The legend of rice-and-bean-gate lives on! One thing is for sure when my father goes to Fiesta's. That one thing is that he will order the Tom Apple Special. In all honesty, I don't understand why it's so special. It's a blue corn chicken enchilada, an enchilada of another variety, and, of course, rice and beans. I've had it once, and it is definitely OK if not pretty good, but it alone does not merit a 600 word review. OK, so maybe two things are for sure. Margaritas are very likely if not surely to be ordered here as well. They are very good. I'm only game for about half a marg before I get sugar overload, so I switch to beer quickly (That goes for everywhere, not just here, so it's not Fiesta's, it's me). In that regard, bonus points for offering Bohemia! I know it's a lot like Negra Modelo, but I like it better. When will Fiesta's see the B's again? I imagine in about 340 days.

Fiesta's the local favorite. It's Tex-Mex the way it's meant to be. Cheesy and sauce like, and looks like something for a tv commercial, and so so good. My family had been frequenting Fiesta's for years, and I've seen them at there highest points and lowest points. But the food is at Worst, Average and at best, amazing. Plus, I've never, ever had a bad server there. Ever.

We went for our second visit a few days ago and were delighted to find that the rellenos (shrimp and chicken) with white jalapeno sauce were still delicious and a different option from the Mexican food we can eat in our area. This time we had a sweet tooth craving and also shared a flan, which was also excellent and had a little nut topping to add some texture. It got fairly busy before we left, lots of family groups, and definitely not a dressy touristy place, although we really like the decor. We've always struggled to find a moderately priced but good quality restaurant in the Vail Valley and think that Fiesta's fills the bill. Oh, and I love their Mexican Margaritas, made the way I remember them in Mexico, with just lime juice and no margarita mix.

I lived in Edwards for many years and this was always my favorite restaurant. We now make it a point to stop every time we're in town. While everything on the menu is amazing, the chile rellenos are the BEST! I'm kind of a relleno snob and no other relleno has ever measured up to Fiesta's! They make an awesome margarita too. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yummy!! Get the white jalapeno sauce on whatever you order. The fiesta's combo or the chorizo burrito are my favorites for sure. It get's busy though; come on off hours or make a reservation for big groups. I definitely have to get my "fiesta's fix" anytime I'm back in town.
