Waited 30 minutes for my eggs Benedict and watched everyone else get served who came and 10 minutes behind me ( they where not even busy). The Hispanic waitress gave me same lame excuse that it takes longer for the eggs instead of just saying sorry. Then they tasted like crap. Don't come back no more no more, hitting the road jack. Go to Route 6 cafe.

I was here for the first time a few days ago. I was pleased to see both a falafel wrap and a chicken curry sandwich on the menu. I ordered the falafel and it was good. The outdoor seating with parasol was very comfortable. Prices were reasonable as well. I am starting with a comfortable three stars, which may increase - or even possibly decrease - as I try more menu items.

Saturday or Sunday breakfasts are the bomb! The eggs are always cooked perfectly. My daughter gets the chocolate chip pancakes and eats every bite. Owner (jeff) is personable and always has a smile on his face. This is a regular weekend meeting spot for my family and friends. Keep up the great cooking Café 163. YUM

The positive aspect of my review is based on the food. Different daily specials promise you won't get bored by their homemade classic diner style food. Breakfast is served until 3PM (although I was told it is served all day). There were only two other tables occupied while I was there, but it took well over half an hour to get my order of French toast. Thankfully, we had ordered quiche to be brought out to us first. Unfortunately, that too took 25 minutes to receive, even though the vegetable quiche was right in the display case and therefore only had to be warmed up. In all fairness, we should have taken it as a sign that it took around 15 minutes or more to get our coffee and we had to ask our waitress more than twice for some water. I am not sure if she was new and perhaps not used to having a system down path. The strange part was that the only other waitress there was also working the register and when she was not tending to the one table she was assigned to, she was sitting at the table closest to the kitchen, eating. That was where/how I first saw her, so I thought she was on her lunch break. She kept returning to the same table to continue eating though. The prices were reasonable, unless you want avocado on anything, which is an extra $2. We ordered a chai latte and a chamomile peppermint tea to go, as well as a surprisingly small and thin slice of homemade banana bread. They were all delicious and just by the color of the banana bread, you could tell it was the real thing. Unlike the yellow dyed banana bread baked goods from supermarkets. I am not a huge fan of chocolate, so I did not miss out on the fact that the waitress running the register (as well as the place card in the display case) had mentioned the banana bread had chocolate chips.

I've been here dozens of times and I love it. The breakfast burrito is amazing! Wait times are a little much and it's not super organized, you kind of have to figure out who the hostess is and hunt her down which is hard because they don't wear uniforms.

While staying at Beaver Creek Westin, I ate there twice with my sons for breakfast and totally enjoyed the burrito, french toast and other breakfast items. No atmosphere to speak of so stay outside for al fresco breakfast. Personally I would only go there in warm weather to dine outside; interior is too busy and crammed. Outside air in Edwards Colorado, with a killer breakfast burrito= winner in good weather. Owner is from Cincinnati, so you can get your 3-way or 4-way Skyline itch scratched (if you're of that persuasion that is....)

Great lighting and coffee. Friendly staff and delicious Po-Boy. Food has been very good every time I've visited. Awesome people work here now. Faces west for sunset views during dinner.

Small place in Edwards that seems to cater to a local crowd. Menu has some items on time limits (only available after 11 a.m.). Scott had the corned beef hash with two eggs and enjoyed it, but his breakfast potatoes were over cooked. No eggs for me but I tried the veggie chili (side item) and it was tasty. Once the place filled up it was loud. Service was slow but friendly.

This past weekend I got to take the women of my family on our very first spa trip. I wanted everyone to walk away from this trip totally relaxed, filled with great food and awesome memories. I researched Cafe 163 and it was close to the hotel so we headed over. Initially when we walked in we were greeted and quoted a 30 minute wait time. Not unreasonable for the only brunch place in a small mountain town on a Saturday morning. We were sat sooner than quoted so we were happy. Took the server a while to greet us but they were getting busy so it wasn't a big deal. Our server took our order and walked away to put in the order. Again it was getting busy so I realized the food might take a little longer. However, our BRUNCH food took 42 minutes exactly to get to us and that was after I grabbed someone to check on the status of the food because our server hadn't checked back. The meal was good enough but when you're annoyed, food doesn't taste as it should. We had to wave down our server before she came over to refill our waters and at one point over filled a cup and spilled water all over the floor and our table but didn't attempt to even have it cleaned up (uhhh...safety hazard?). Pre-bussing? Not a chance. We were waiting again for someone to come around so we could at least pay and get out of there. I finally asked the hostess to get our check for us. She said she would ask our server for us. Waited again and finally we couldn't take it anymore so I walked up to the register to pay. In conclusion, I will leave the server we had with some dignity and not put their name out there but i will say one last thing. Being from service industry myself i know that tips are there to be EARNED and falsely reporting tips is called credit card fraud!! Fellow yelpers I strongly suggest checking your bank statements and keeping track of your receipts.

Spotty. Excellent potatoes and omelette. Fresh fruit, while ambitious, had a strange odor to it. My guess: slight mildew from being stored some time in plastic. Don't know. Water had soapy taste. Probably the dishwasher didn't allow the dishwasher to complete its cycle. Unfortunate as the place has potential. Orange juice is not fresh squeezed either. I'd stick with the Little Diner for breakfast.

This place was not very good. My husband's corned beef hash was very dry. He asked for a side of hollandaise when we ordered, he had to ask for it again when the meal came. When it did finally make it to the table it tasted really bad, he didn't even eat it. I can't even remember what I had because it was so unmemorable. I think this place is going out of business soon. They cut back their hours and their website hasn't been working in months.

The decor is nice and the food is pretty good, but the service leaves much to be desired, which impacts the overall experience. They seem to employee many very young and unexperienced servers. We had issues with our bill and it was just brushed aside. As a local, I want to like it and I want to go back, but after a couple of issues, I am unsure that I will.

Food and coffee were good. a little overpriced to me for eggs. Servers didn't really seem to be excited to help us out or take our Togo order.

We stopped in for breakfast on Sunday on our way to a hike further out in Edwards. It was busy at 10am and we were quoted a 15-20 minute wait but we decided to sit at the cool concrete bar instead which worked out great. We started with coffee and newspapers and then the three of us chowed down on a breakfast burrito and two omelets - build your own greek (with rotisserie lamb) for my husband and mushroom, avocado and goat cheese for me ($10 each). Holy moly, it was one of the best omelets I have EVER had. I'm normally one to only eat half of a huge omelet and save the rest for another day, but I knew after I took my first bite that I was devouring my entire plate. Which I did...easily! Actually, it was quite painful afterward but totally worth it. My sourdough toast came with homemade strawberry jam and I loved the thinly sliced breakfast potatoes. Every bite was perfect. My only and very minor complaint was that I was burping up oil from the potatoes all day long. As a lover and eater of many big breakfasts, that has never happened to me in my life. But everything else was delightful - plentiful free parking, outdoor seating, full bar, friendly servers, modern/comfy decor and a small but just broad enough menu.

We go here every weekend for breakfast - the side potatoes are incredible, bacon is crispy and their eggs are always cooked perfectly. You just can't beat the food here for breakfast.

Amazing breakfast. Lemon poppy seed french toast was outstanding and the heuvos ranchers were very tasty.

We have been for both brunch and now dinner. It is definitely busier for breakfast and everything we had was tasty, though not the best breakfast I've ever had, it was good and I would come back for it. Dinner was tasty as well, a good alternative to some of the busier spots in town as it is tucked away and few seem to know it's open for dinner. We had a attentive server and our food was good, again not the best we've had, but we'd come back for sure.

We were told Cafe 163 is new-er but has really good food! The pretty concierge Heidi and Yelp has been pretty consistent with great suggestions. So off we went. It was snowing hard but hunger won! First that struck me was the openess of the layout. You can see outside and yet it's very cozy inside. The front door is facing a small courtyard with a very nice view of the falling snow. We chose to sit next to the front door by the counter. Comfortable chairs and possibly the best spot to people watch. Lucked out! I had the French toast uisng a Hawaiian sweet bread with strawberries and company had the corned beef hash again! Haha! Well, we both loved our brunch. Our server was a cool dude. He was efficient and has a quite way about him. :) Easy parking when we got there. Freezing outside but super cozy inside. Awesome food, great service, short wait for food. No Monku!

Not so hot. Servers are nice enough but it wasn't enough to carry the sub par breakfast offerings. This place its pretty pricey for breakfast. No longer an option for us even though it is a good atmosphere. There is just something that is "missing" about this place-Can't put my finger on it & don't really care to.

I have been coming in to the cafe with my kids for a while great service from the girls, ok food but unfortunately one of the male employees working there has been spotted by my teenagers smoking his vaporizer pen in the restaurant. its cool cuz you cant smell it and he is pretty sneaky about it but not sneaky enough for my observant and curious teenagers. I don't care about smoking pot but at least do it before work or where my kids cant see you.

We got sandwiches and smoothies here one day and breakfast the next. The food was wonderful and fairly priced for the region. Good break from our stay at The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. Jeff the owner was awesome.

simply put the best breakfast burrito we have ever had....whether you chose bacon or chorizo it is incredible. a base layer of crunchy potatoes followed by eggs, meat, cheese and beans. it is topped with even more cheese a plenty and delicious green chile. honestly each bite was a perfect mix of each ingredient. living in philadelphia- a city that prides itself on brunch- we can't imagine a single b.fast burrito in the city even coming close to cafe 163's. a must have. a must go. try it and try it often.

We stumbled upon Cafe 163 while waiting for a brewery to open. It was a simple little cafe and appeared to be a local's favorite. I decided on something different. Homemade beef chili and spaghetti. Sounded strange but good at the same time. It turned out to be pretty tasty and had a hearty goodness to it. The chili was beefy and rich and the spaghetti cooked al dente. They also have a good selection of local teas so I gave the Jasmine tea a try. It came in a homemade tea bag and had a wonderful fragrance and was deliciously hot and soothing. Next time I pass through I'll have to try one of the breakfast dishes.

Really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, and crispy potatoes. Staff was very friendly and outgoing. We had eaten here last year and enjoyed it then as well. If you have kids, then try to sit by the wall with the chalkboards and letters as that can occupy them if needed.

I was visiting some friends in Vail for a long ski weekend over New Year's and they chose an obvious breakfast choice for many in the Vail area: Cafe 163. The wait was incredibly short for the amount of people that were in front of my party of 4. I ordered an egg white omelet with veggies and cheese inside. The coffee was freshly brewed, which was fabulous- Dark Roast. I also had a bloody mary that I gulped down in 3 sips. It was very delish, it could have been spicier though. Overall, my table was hungry after a long New Year's Eve celebration. The wait staff was overly nice and incredibly helpful with almost everything you asked them of. The food was good and I think its safe to say that everyone was happy at my table. Especially after we decided to get an after breakfast snack to share at the table- the cinnamon roll. It was absolutely divine!!!!! If you only want something sweet, I would recommend that cinnamon roll all the way! Get it Cafe 163.

I just finished eating at Cafe 163 less than an hour ago and although my hunger has been satiated, I am far from satisfied. After walking in to the small but nicely decorated restaurant, my companion and I were told it was a 10 minute wait. No problem! ...that is until an older couple that walked in long after us was seated first by the waitress. I believe the friendly gentlemen on staff noticed and made a point to seat us right away mentioning to the folks that we had arrived first. No harm done! Until the waitress took the couple's order before speaking to us at all. There was literally no acknowledgment of our presence by the waitress; once again, the gentlemen (who was the only other one working the floor), noticed us sitting silently and took our order. The place was busy and I had the feeling they were understaffed but that is no excuse for the rudeness of the waitress. We felt invisible. I don't mind having a leisurely breakfast but at least bring some water and coffee and assure us we will be helped in a few minutes. The food was good. It looked better than it actually was with a great presentation but a bit bland on the flavor side. The potatoes and vegetables were cooked with a bit too much oil although the eggs were quite good. I was pondering why we were being so actively ignored by the brown-haired waitress when the dude (who was saving our breakfast experience to the best of his abilities) brought my $7.00 smoothie at the tail-end of our meal. I had completely forgotten about the smoothie because I was so bummed with everything else! The friendly guy brought this place from a 1-star to a 2-star because he was working so damn hard and trying to take care of us but it was alas, too late. Theories were discussed between the two of us regarding why our service was so lacking and we're guessing our relatively young age might create assumptions about low-tipping. There were plenty of wealthy-looking mountain locals, including the mid-60s couple who came in after us but were approached and served long before us. I would like to throw out that I truly appreciate great places to eat, drink and enjoy and will always hook up at least a 20% gratuity for the usually standard dose of being friendly. I know the service industry is a difficult one and making me feel taking care of inspires me to tip the hell out of you which makes me feel good too! However, this assumption about young people tipping poorly can create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Although we left 18% in spite of it, you've lost two customers and maybe more: my cafe-comrade is a concierge at the Ritz Carlton resort and chances are slim that she will be recommending this to any of her club members. As for me, I will not be returning to Cafe 163. Booooo!

We had gone for a quick getaway and wasn't expecting to find a great breakfast place. We did a Yelp search and found 163. We are SO glad we found this place. WHAT a hidden gem. Everything was AWESOME and the decor was simple and great. Everything we ate was SO good especially the crusted French toast. If you're in the area, you gotta eat at Cafe 163!!!

I hereby vouch for the awesomeness of the gyro here. Fresh, spicy and tasty. I got it to go, and while I was waiting for it, sitting at the bar, reading ye olde Vail Daily- I was offered a glass of water from behind the bar. Its the little touches like that that separate the restaurants that make if from those that don't. Thumbs way up for the service.

Slow service which seemed to be just our table. When finally served there was no dressing with the salad and the fries were cold. Will not be back and I live in the area so I will not be recommending this to anyone.

after living in the valley for 3 years now i thought i had been around the block and tried all the local food the valley had to offer. just today i took my first visit to cafe 163, and i must say i am disappointed. the food is way overpriced and i thought hey maybe the quality speaks for its self... i mean it does have 4 stars on yelp.. i couldn't have been more wrong. after waiting more than 15 min for my 2 eggs any style, they came out cold along with most of the rest of the plate. i will not be returning to this restaurant again, and i will not be recommending it to the many visitors i service at my job.

We went to Cafe 163 for a Saturday morning brunch. We could tell that all the food was fresh made from scratch. We had the breakfast burrito with bacon, triple stack of pancakes, a spinach & swiss omelet, and corned beef hash with poached eggs. All three meals were excellent and the thin cut potatoes were some of the best breakfast potatoes I have had anywhere. The ambiance was equivalent to a big city brunch locale. However, the service and cost kept me from rating it 5 stars. I thought the breakfast burrito was the best thing we ate with a unique pork green chili that had various vegetables in it....normally something I would hesitate on, but somehow it worked. It seemed to us that the waitresses shared all tables, which made us feel that sometimes we were lost in the crowd. The prices were a bit high as our total was over $50 + tip for breakfast and that was with no extras except coffee....not terrible, but on the high side!

My wife and I today decided on a Valentines Breakfast together prior to work. We had heard about cafe 163 from a few friends. I decided to try something new and ordered the French Toast encrusted with corn flakes. The cost was $9 and to add blueberries or other items was an additional $2 or so. True to form, when my plate was brought out to me, I had a big plate with 2 pieces of medium sized french toast and that's pretty much it, if you don't count the little tub of butter. My wife even noticed and said "that's it?" I was done in 5 minutes and after giving my wife my very best sad eyes she surrendered a bit of her breakfast for me. With 2 exceedingly basic and a little skimpy breakfasts we walked out with a $25 bill. This place may be cozy and all, but if you come to eat a hearty and tasty breakfast, you may want to do a bit more research. I will give them 2 stars since the service was good and coffee was strong. If we go again, we'll buy a cinnamon roll and coffee and save ourselves about $20.

Had breakfast here with some friends on our way home from beaver creek. Had a great breakfast. Don't miss out on at least a side of biscuits and gravy. Side note. I left my digital SLR camera at the table and didn't realize it until I was over 2 hrs away. They found it and the manager Jeff was willing to ship it to me in California the very next day. Best customer service ever. It's very refreshing to know you can still have faith in people you don't know to do the right thing and go out of their way to help you out. I plan to go back to Cafe 163 every time I am in the area. Highly recommended. Also the breakfast burrito is very tasty and comes enchilada style!

Biscuits and gravy were great. At first glance they looked a bit small. But after I finished it turned out they were the perfect size.
