I enjoyed some refreshment here a couple of times during my stay in Durango in some very hot weather. First of all, it was a very friendly place for me, a tourist, as well as for regular customer locals, whom I observed coming in regularly and being welcomed by name. Always a good start. This store is in a unique historic building in the downtown historic district, near the railroad depot. It appears to be an old bank building from the style, but also possibly some other business of the era. Its' feature characteristic is the exposed stone wall on the exterior elevation. Just gorgeous. Plus the high ceilings, old wood floors, big windows and antique style furnishings give it a great feel. I have been in several Starbucks across the country that have been designed around such individual sites and they are always interesting. My custom drink was perfectly made, my other summer standard was also great. My husband discovered something new which was great as he does not frequent Starbucks as often as I do, and now has more choices on a hot day.

Spring in Colorado is rain in Colorado. Since it began to hail and rain we stepped inside Starbucks for a Latte and Emperors Cloud tea. I had a starbucks card with no money loaded but the barista was happy to ring it up so I received credit for my purchase. This is a small Starbucks with local charm and locals and visitors getting their free wifi hit. Everyone is friendly and easy to get along. The tea is top notch as was the latte.

Nice cozy Durango Starbucks. Actually the only Starbucks in town! (I don't count the little cart in Albertsons lol) Friendly staff and good service =D Coffee is standard for a Starbucks. Only downer is the limited amount of seating but that can't really be helped since it's such a small place. Good for grab and go; get your drink and take a stroll around Downtown!

Go ahead and admit it!! With all the talk about wanting other coffee options Starbucks gives a consistent product in a great place with typically great staff.. This SB is a good place to land and take a break, check e-mails, or read for a while. The staff has always been friendly even when herds of high school students descend upon the place and wreck havoc on people who know how to use their inside voices.

This Starbucks has a clover machine, which is absolutely the best coffee I can find in Durango. Compared to other Starbucks with clovers, they generally leave slight room for cream which is completely unacceptable when paying up to $5 a cup for rare and exquisite coffee.

I had been switching b/t this starbucks and the one in the grocery store usually when I want a cinnamon roll. The grocery store baristas are really friendly and usually make a great drink but the store on main street is lame. The employees are really not friendly and come off as snooty; to top it off the drinks are mediocre and underfilled. Maybe the train crowds are wearing on'em. I would skip this store and go to the grocery store location.
