Good fresh bagels in a convenient location. I had an egg bagel which was tasty. The prices are higher than an Einstein Brothers but I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a quick, easy, tasty breakfast or bagel!

I have been to the Durango Bagel twice now, each time I have passed through Durango. I am a city person and I LOVE a good bagel sandwich. Durango Bagel does not disappoint. I have had The Dirty Bird and The New Yorker (my favorite) and they were both fantastic. I also got some yummy pasties and hot coffee to go. Fast, friendly service and good prices. I will definitely be back! Thanks Durango Bagel. Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Unfortunately the first person who tried to make the coffee wasn't unable to make their espresso machine work and the gentleman who made it for me seem to not only have shorted me in quantity but giving me extra grains and a super burnt flavor that was not enjoyable... great for bagels not so great for coffee The owner contacted me and let me know there was a problem with their machine that has been corrected. He was very appplogetic, and he has encouraged me to return to try again. Two stars changed to three for now pending my next try...

Oh Durango Bagel, how I love you so. And I miss you even more. Wish I was closer. Their bagels are fantastic, as are the spreads. They make great sandwiches both of the breakfast and lunch variety. My favorite order? A double toasted italiano with plain cream cheese and tomato slices. Mmmmmmmmmmmm So if you are going on the train, going skiing, going biking, or just working off that hangover from last night, this is a great way to start your day.

The bagels are tasty! A lot of bagel flavor options. The downside is the wait is too long! Also, they don't have brewed tea.

Went here twice on vacation, it was that good. Solid sandwiches, very convenient location in historic downtown just past the CO-160/550 intersection if heading north. Not at all disappointed. Even had a funky, college-town-style atmosphere. Very enjoyable.

The owner of this shop often treats his employees poorly. He has refused to pay my relative a full weeks worth of wages (their last week , with proper notice given). He thinks labor laws do not apply to him. Takes advantage of young employees who he believes will be too afraid or too busy to file a complaint with the labor department.

I love the food here. It's delicious. And maybe worth the wait if you have an hour to kill. Does it always take that long? No. But the wait time and treatment by the owner is SO hit or miss. If there are more than two girls working, (only girls are allowed to work there? Hmm?) you might be ok. However, if there's only one, she'll work her tail off and be really polite while the owner stands by and watches the line get longer and longer and refuses to help. On a lunch half hour, it's frustrating to stand there and watch the actual business owner to refuse to help his own employees; for their sake and for the sake of decent customer service. I've eaten here many times and my experience has been unpleasant/uncomfortable more often than not. Mr. Owner Man: learn how to restaurant. You're rude and awkward. Maybe give kind and helpful a shot. We're waiting to give you money to eat food. It ain't complicated.

Just had the best bagel! Plenty of meat and cheese. They do not skimp here... I have been coast to coast and they truly do it right here in Colorado. Only a few feet from the train station and a locals favorite. Be sure and check them out.

Went here a couple times last weekend (I love bagels). A good bagel, however I was disappointed with the breakfast sandwich. There was a nice selection of toppings but for a starting price of $7.50 I expected something a little better than microwaved liquid eggs (from a carton). Other than that a nice shop. Pretty good coffee.

The people that run this place are really nice and if you like bagels and croissants then you will love this place. We ordered a handful of bagels and after we were on the train and on our way we realize were short a beagle or two. Other then that this place is awesome.

As others have said, there can be a wait when crowds pack into this tiny place, but the service is as fast as possible and very friendly. We got our bagels to go and both the savory and sweet varieties were great. I wish we'd had time to try the sandwich options. I also recommend coming in early before all your favorite flavors are sold out!

I was in and out in less than ten minutes before we hopped on the Duragno to Silverton train. I went in with $12. I came out with two amazingly fresh and delicious ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches on softly toasted fresh flavorful bagels. It was a great trade.

Bagels, bagels and more bagels! This place has the best bagels out there in my opinion! And to make things even better, they also have really amazing bagel sandwiches. I highly recommend the dirty bird. I know, sounds a little strange but the turkey, spicy mustard, garlic cream cheese will change your mind. Just try it and be amazed! Only thing I dont like about this place is usually there is only one person behind the counter and things can get a little crazy which means longer wait times. I really think they should have at least two people helping customers!

The standard to which I hold all bagels!!! I recently moved from Durango to the Midwest - I know, 'what was I thinking?', and I haven't had a good bagel since... The town I live in is rife with chains and today I was craving a bagel so I went to a large chain bagel shop... I ordered my favorite asiago bagel with sin dried shmear... The bagel was soggy (yours are always so firm!) and the shmear was too sweet (yours has such a zesty tang to it!)! Rather than going to their yelp and leaving them a bad review I thought I'd come leave you a review - letting you know that you have ruined me for all other bagel shops :(. I miss your perfect bagels, your friendly staff and your great coffee. I will stop by the next time I'm in town and until then I will continue to dream about your delicious bagels!

This place is over by the Durango/Silverton train station, so we grabbed a bagel while waiting to board. I ended up with the wrong order (because the guy in front of me also ordered a garlic bagel), but it's all good. The one I got had bacon and swiss on it, and I was down with that. Hopefully the other guy wasn't saddened by the lowly (but healthier) canadian bacon I ordered. My fiance got a sesame seed bagel with ham, and he was pleased. Prices aren't cheap, but the quality is good.

Bagels in Durango are hard to find, but this cute little shop has got what you're looking for and they make a "bomb bagel sandwich" (as my brother would say). A bit on the pricier side, but they pack those things so full you are definitely getting your moneys worth. The girls behind the counter are your typical skiier college gals and they are friendly, welcoming and have a great story or two if you choose to listen. Not a place for anyone that is not looking for a bagel, but if what you're in the mood for is an awesome breakfast sandwich on a great bagel, this is the place!
