This is my favorite restaurant. The servers are top notch and friendly. I order the chicken chimichanga, burrito from the sea, fried ice cream, Calamari, fried tilapia, seafood boil, and several other things I can't remember the names of. Everything is always excellent. The rice and beans could be a meal of its own. Some dishes come with a roasted jalapeno and whole onion. It's actually pretty good. I have eaten here 27 times in the last year. Brought my slew of offspring a couple times and they treated our gaggle like family. Oh and the complimentary cabbage salsa and chips is the bomb. Pro tip: Don't stare at your iPhone the whole time and then complain about lack of atmosphere or service. Be involved. Enjoy the ambiance of this fine authentic Mexican restaurant.

Rice and beans were great! That's about it. Service wasn't bad.. Carne asada was awful. Sorry, it hardly passes for meat. Took two bites just incase it was a bad spot. Nope! Even shared it with the others to see their thoughts and got the same response. Another person in our party got tacos and liked them so maybe not all hope is lost. The ambiance lends itself to one of those old diners that gets the regulars who order the same thing for forty years. Fairly clean, just bland and cold. It needs some heart!!

I like going for the tacos buffet from 11 dlls, all you can eat tacos. They changed the name to Chavolos

While this restaurant has four stars in the past, our experience was less than ideal. We waited 2 hours for our food and then the food was somewhat questionable. As for the table service, our waiter was friendly.

If you're in a rush, don't eat here. Service is as slow as ever, and when the food does come out chances are they got it wrong. I've lived in Durango twenty years and ate at the original Christina's on north Main. This restaurant is a mere shadow if what that was.

If you need a quick meal, don't go to Christina's! The food is very good, but the service is so slow it can be painful. While visiting family in the Durango area, we went to Christina's for lunch after church one Sunday. We didn't leave until 2 hours had passed. No one ordered anything difficult or exotic, it was just that slow! I asked the server if they were short staffed, and she said yes. Christina's serves breakfast until noon each Sunday. Our server said they usually have 5 servers, 3 bus people, and at least 2 or 3 cooks. This particular Sunday they had only 3 servers (2 of whom had never worked the Sunday breakfast crowd before), 1 bus person, 1 hostess and only 2 cooks (one of whom was brand new)! Yikes!! However, if you were in for some entertainment at your fellow diner's expense, it was a salvagable breakfast/lunch experience. You just need to have the proper attitude about it all. I mean, who really needs to be in such a hurry anyway? Right? Our food was very good, though (and the reason for 4 stars, not 3 or less), and well worth the long but entertaining wait. My mom and I both ordered the Great Harvest sandwich. This is a tuna salad served on whole wheat toast, with your option of side. My mom chose fries, while I chose the side salad. We both asked to have our sandwhich served on a croissant, instead of the whole wheat toast. Absolutely fabulous! I had to remind the server I ordered a side salad, and I asked for onions on my sandwich. They wisked my sandwich plate away to add the onions, but they took the plate with the fries. I had to transfer the fries to my mom's plate once it returned from the kitchen 5 minutes later. While I was waiting for my sandwich to re-appear, I was served my salad. My husband ordered an omelette with cheese, green chilis and onions. It also came with a side of hashbrowns and toast. All were cooked to perfection and he was very happy. Making the "yum-yum" sounds! He didn't realize they had forgotten to serve his toast until we were paying our bill and walking out of the restaurant. He chose not to bring it to their attention, since he was full and contented. My dad chose a skillet dish, with country potaotes. He ordered his eggs scrambled. He enjoyed his meal, as well. However, as he was eating, he noticed he had a pile of scrambled eggs, but under them was an over-easy egg. It was as though the cook got the egg order wrong, then instead of removing the incorrect eggs, he just added scrambled on top of his error. Seems like dad got extra eggs this time. I guess that makes up for the "lost" toast on my husband's order!

This place didn't seem necessarily slow to me, but we had a group of 6 and probably wouldn't have noticed. The place is very casual, but comfortable. Food was good, other customers were friendly and raving about the night's special (I think it was the prime rib). I had the chicken-fried steak and it was delicious and the gravy was right. Local beer, I forget the name, but was delish and on draught. The server was friendly and spoke in an almost NZ/Aus accent and when we asked where he was from, he said he was just into accents. It was kind of weird, but funny, and he said he was from the area (but continued on with the accent). We weren't 100% sure he wasn't actually from somewhere else, but it was interesting if he really was using the accent to sort of create his waiter "character".

Great Dinners, and great specials. The mexican food is very good, and the salad bar is the best in Durango with the exception of the Red Snapper.

Fantastic salad bar with homemade soups daily.

Service was fast, even on a Saturday night (and we ordered from "slow cooking" menu). We had beer battered beef steak, tasty. We (2 persons) noth had different prices on our wine lists (with ~5$ price difference / bottle) so it may be worth checking.
