So freakin good. Best and most unique tacos around--shrimp is out of this world. Going to be a popular spot once baseball season starts. You must get the calamari and the zi patron margarita.

I absolutely love this place. The food and margaritas are always a treat. I especially love the "skinny" margarita and the veggie tacos. I also always end up eating too many of the complimentary chips and salsa, but oh well, they are too good to pass up. The crowd here is always fun, including the wait staff and bartenders. The decor is stylish and unique - especially in the bathroom area. I can't wait for Rockies season to sit on the patio and watch all the foot traffic while sipping on a marg.

Decor and $1 Mini Margaritas is the best thing they have going for them. Not very customer friendly. When We visited, they were DEAD. Shredded chicken = cubed chicken. My plate shattered in front of me and they just offered to remake my meal. NOT a great first experience and won't be going back.

Solid food. Not too pricy. But TERRIBLE service. Servers are so slow, nonexistent, and could care less about customers. I've been here several times and the lack of service is very consistent. Too bad.

The place looks great and the food is good, though expensive. But my bartender doesn't seem to care about following up with me. He never checks on me and even forgets my order. I don't care how nice a place looks or how good the food is if I feel I'm being ignored or forgotten about.

I really really want this place to do well... alas there is some work to do. it should have been a 2 star review, but I'm offering up a third star to keep something new and different going in the neighborhood. First time we went it was about a week after their opening I got the mahi mahi taco, went with the corn tortilla. But it was pretty soggy and greasy and unfortunately not awesome. Margarita was tasty. We also got they paddy dip which if found less than tasty... Second time was for happy hour. Staff wasn't busy but front desk was not sure helpful. We asked to sit on the patio for just drinks and maybe some food - but they seemed confused by the whole thing. The wait staff was pretty friendly and helpful, We went with ceviche and another set of margaritas. The ceviche was ok, but probably not awesome for the price. I really hope they figure out their glitches, and we'll probably give them a few more chances! But definitely check out the restrooms - pretty fun and cool!

Rockies 2014 opening week! This place will need to do a lot more to make it thru the new season! Thought we would try a new place? but very disappointed! The service is yes poor, the staff knows everyone is going to the ball game, but slow service, for tacos? And the tacos where terrible, I like fresh ingredients? We found the ground beef burrito edible smothered in melting cheese but you can get that any place? The margaritas were great! but can't you get that any place too, like inside the ballpark? Well just go back to all our regular fab places on the other side of Coors field, southwest side!

Amazing food, drinks, location, and ambiance! My favorites are the margaritas, wine, wings, Zi pow, ceviche, and tacos!

My favorite restaurant and bar! Always fun!!! The staff are very attentive and fun to be around. Perfect location if you are going to a Rockies game or heading home from one. Their tacos are sooooo good. The vegetarian taco is delish.

  • Cristen B.

Service was great, ground beef and the chicken in the tacos was bland. Chips are excellent! 2 for 1 margaritas after game day were good, a bit weak but the strawberry margarita was definitely made with fresh berries, great flavor!

  • Amy F.

I don't know what all the other negative reviews are about.. we live nearby and absolutely love this place. The tacos (shrimp and barbacoa are delicious) and blended margaritas are definitely the way to go. They also play really good music most of the time. And if you have tickets to a Rockies game, you get 2 for 1 margs.

Very creative Mexican cuisine, friendly staff and owner. Perfect weekend alternative to the overcrowded Snooze.

Zi South is a great new addition to the ballpark neighborhood. I honestly wasnt expecting it to be this good! I went for lunch and was in the mood for tacos. This was definitely a good choice. We had some ceviche for an appetizer - it was definitely the best ceviche I have had in a long time. Solid portion size too. The tacos may not be quite as good as pinche tacos, but its still up there...plus they are quite a bit bigger and priced about the same. The fish taco and mahi tacos were very good. The steak and barbacoa were also good. Then came dessert...mango strawberry cheesecake. SO GOOD. Im talking probably the best cheesecake I have ever had. It was only $3.50 for a slice too, great deal. The flavor of cake varies by chefs choice that day too so I am glad I went when I did, though I'm sure the rest are great too. There isnt just mexican on the menu though. They have wraps, sandwiches, and other dishes too. This worried me a bit before coming since I thought things might be a it bland or meh...but thats definitely not the case. They also have some great daily happy hour specials. I will be going back for taco tuesdays for sure. The restaurant is very nicely designed, great looking booths and bar (with TVs)..but my favorite is the bathroom area. There is a communal sink that looks so awesome and the bathroom Occupied/unoccupied signs are fun - they all say different things like 'Batter up', 'Party Time!' and more. The service was solid too. Our server seemed a bit new (the place is barely two weeks old so it makes sense) and may have gotten a bit mixed up once..but he was a very cool person and knowledgable about the menu. I will be back for sure.

Ok food, decent prices, good service. Next to Coors field and less crowded than the bars on the other side of the ballpark

Love this place. It's great if you're downtown at night and want to get away from the overly crowded and loud bars. I like the layout of the place and their bartenders are super friendly. Great margaritas, AWESOME queso, and a good variety of more unique choices such as their mexican pizza or smoked salmon quesadilla.

I've been here twice for lunch. Decor is very nice (though feels a little nautical, which doesn't quite jibe with the menu). Servers were average but the food was fantastic. I've had the blue corn enchiladas and the shrimp fajitas. The fajitas in particular were exceptional. Great flavor, fresh, excellent. But I have to say, they present in a really clumsy fashion. You get one set of sides/garnish on a plate, the other three (pico, guac, sour cream) come in this awkward arcing metal serving piece with glass inserts containing the sides. And then, the tortillas (just two?) come in...wait for it...foil. Everything takes up just a hair too much space, and it makes for a discordant meal. But damn, a tasty one! i will be back.

I love me some chips and salsa, so really they had me at that. They just opened so this review is likely to be updated. We went for lunch, had beer and margs, both good. The patty dip appetizer is good but too much for 2 people. At least for 2 people trying to eat sorta healthy :) I have the beef taco and a fish taco. Both we ok. The soft tortilla was way too greasy. Almost as if dropped the frier before it was up to heat. The spicy ground beef was good. The Talapia, tasty. I will be trying a few other things as well when I return. Glad to have them in the 'hood

So I stopped by here based on a recommendation from a friend. First glance, its located in a great part of town, parking was easy, and the decor is super modern and sleek, quite different than any Mexican restaurant that I've been to before. A large central bar area with the regular dining tables surrounding it. The food is overall is pretty bland. Chips and sala are store bought, absolutely no flavor at all, Costo would probably taste better. The chicken burrito was equally lacking in flavor, meat was dry and overcooked, tortilla was also store bought and a bit stale. Their salmon dish was somewhat decent, fish was a decent portion size, was covered in chimichurri sauce, which was helpful since it helped take away the flavor of the overcooked salmon. Service was hit and miss, leaning towards the miss side of things. The place was fairly empty and dead, there was a full staff working, yet we were fairly ignored the entire time we were there. It took several attempts to get even the most basic things like water, drink order, food order, and the check. When our food was delivered, we had no silverware, when we asked for some they said they would be right back, they never did come back. We picked it up ourselves from another table. Overall, this place does have potential, but they're going to have to totally revamp the kitchen and staff training.

My husband and I tried this place out after purchasing a tequila tasting groupon. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good and we definitely enjoyed the drinks at the bar. I personally really liked the Zi Pow Dip, (which I would describe as a meaty queso). It's a thin cheese queso which I really enjoyed. We also tried the burrito, which although did taste fresh it was a little lacking on the flavor. Unfortunately we were really disappointed in the chili rellenos, bland and possibly pre-packaged frozen and fired? (not positive though). Overall we had a good time, but weren't overly impressed with the food, would definitely give it another try and probably go back for happy hour. PS. Cool restrooms. :)

  • Cheris K.

The worst burrito I've ever had, tastes like licking a salt stick. For fourteen dollars you'd think at least the rice would be fully cooked. However...The ahi taco was good.

  • Alex F.

The queso dip will make your life 10% better. Everything else (I tried a sampling of tacos, margaritas, and an amateurish ceviche) will not impress you, thereby negating all euphoric effects of the aforementioned queso. So don't let the swanky atmosphere fool you. I would try Pinche Tacos, D'Corazon, El Camino, or El Taco de Mexico before moving on to this place.

First off, I came in on week day around 3 right after the lunch rush for my first time and was impressed right away. The bartender Sara appeared to be the only one working and she was awesome! I was going to sit out on the small patio but I decided to sit at the bar and enjoy the AC. I asked about the IPAs they had and she was very knowledgable for not being a beer drinker which is impressive. I got the incredible peddle on tap which was good! I ordered three different tacos from the menu and they came out very promptly! My favorite was the surf and turf taco which I highly recommend if you like grilled shrimp! The decor and atmosphere here is very industrial hip and actually quite relaxing. The bartender had a great personality and was very accommodating, the food and beer was top notch and it was reasonably priced so I will definitely be back. I believe I've officially been made a regular and I can't wait to try all the margaritas I've been told about!

Zi South, is the girl in school, who is hot to look at and a drag to talk to. You think you gotta step your game up to get in, but you don't. They give the bar away most nights. That's cool. Like the kids in school, who buy their friends. I like those kids.

  • Keith S.

We came here because of a great coupon and in a lot of ways we were pleasantly surprised. My fried tilapia taco was tasty, but everything else was only so-so. The atmosphere was really great, but they we're a little understaffed so even though we sat down immediately in a mostly open dining area it took about 45 minutes to place our order and receive our food at noon on a Saturday. We'll probably come for a happy hour to snack, but we weren't impressed enough to become regulars.

    (3)
  • Brea B.

I hate to give 1 star but this place needs a total food revamp. Over-priced food and the meat tastes processed like dog food. The atmosphere is good and drinks good but without quality ingredients the food tastes processed.

    (1)
  • William D.

Terrible service. If there are 9 people at a bar, the bartender working alone is friends w/ 8 of them and it takes 10 minutes to stroll over and ask, "Have you been helped?" ...well, no.

I have been back in Denver for about three weeks now and have fallen in lust with Zi bar. Service for the most part is above average. Great drink specials most days and the food is great to have with a beer. The bartender James is what earned the fifth star. The friendly and humorous service he delivers always lifts my spirits. For the 20 to 30 something this is a great spot for drinks and a snack.

The food was not bad. The location is good. The service was horrendous. We will not be returning and we will be telling everyone we know not to bother with this place.

I've come here a lot since their opening and have seen all sides. Sometimes the service is slow, sometimes it's stellar. Sometimes the food is "eh", sometimes it's magnificent. Since it's a newish place (opened last spring, 2012), I'm assuming there are some kinks to work out, and I have faith they are getting there. The good: The fajitas The Zi-pow Queso (really has some pow!) The black bean burger was the BEST black bean burger I've ever had in my long-legged life. SERIOUSLY. Good margs The bathrooms are fun Nice to add a patio to that area - not many bars nearby have patios The bad: Service could use some help Too much cilantro in the salsa for me, although my husband loves it I've ordered entrees like a burger and even a fajita order that has been completely burnt and tasteless. (However, as noted above, I've since ordered it again and again and it's been amazing. In retrospect, I should have sent this plate back). The ugly: Not much I can say here, as I can't think of a single ugly thing! So glad to have a yummy addition to the neighborhood. Check it out soon!

Fun place! Good food and some great drink specials! Enjoyed a fun night here with a good friend, it's nice and chill, but has great TVs and good specials for food. We had the Mexican pizza and it was delicious. Margaritas were good and cheap, too!

The food is generally good but the customer service is ALWAYS lacking. It always feels like we wait 20 min to get our drink order.

Zi is the place to be! Especially for Rockies Games, being right down the street from Coors. Great food, drinks, and always great music. Love the tacos, burritos and Batch 19 on tap. Just a classy, lively, great environment in the city. 5 Stars

I came here on a gorgeous spring, early afternoon day. I was planning on going to Breck Brew across the street, but they were closed for renovation, so we headed over the Zi South. We sat on the patio; it's a great place to enjoy the sun and people watch. They have $4 bloody mary's (and $12 bottomless mimosas) on weekends. Tried the regular bloody then the spicy and I'd go with the spicy again, definitely has a nice kick! Ordered the Zi Pow appetizer and that was pretty delish. The kid's menu is decently priced at around $4 or $5 and some good options for kids to choose from. The service was good and I'd love to go back and try their margaritas!

Let's think about the salsa for a minute. If it's served it to every customer, and it's the first thing they're going to taste...make sure it tastes good! It doesn't have to be great. It doesn't have to be an original recipe. It doesn't even have to be made at the restaurant. Just buy some salsa that has a little character. The salsa had extremely little spice. It resembled marinara sauce more than pico de gallo. Just because you're giving something away to customers for free doesn't mean it should taste cheap. Chicken taco - no seasoning. Carne Asada taco - tough steak otherwise unremarkable. Now that I've aired my grievances... I really enjoyed the queso dip (though my sister complained it was too thick after it cooled some). And the light at the end of the tunnel: barbacoa tacos! Delicious, well-seasoned and coherent taste. If you go skip the salsa (unless they change the recipe), and get queso dip instead. Order 2-3 barbacoa tacos and call it a night.

  • Tina S.

I would give this place 5 stars for their happy hour. The first time my boyfriend and I visited was happy hour. The barbacoa tacos are my favorite. This is what I would return for. And 2$ session lager. However, we went there for lunch. I had the taco salad and was disappointed. The toppings were not balanced. The amount of lettuce was almost a garnish in size. It was all ground beef and cheese, I wish it would have had more lettuce and tomato. My boyfriend got the green chili and fish taco. He said the fish taco wasn't great but good, and twice the price of happy hour. The green chili was mediocre, he said he would eat it but wouldn't order it again. The chips and salsa they serve are very good. Thin chips, not too salty and salsa with a tiny bit of spice. They might need to work on their regular menu a little bit but the happy hour is fantastic!!! We will return for happy hour but not dinner or lunch menu items. I would suggest coming here for tacos!

Absolutely legit! Coming from so cal and very familiar with Mexican food I would have to say that this is the BEST I've had east of the west coast!

Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had, and the daily deals are awesome. The bartenders are easy to talk to, and the servers are attentive. Go here. :)

  • Mila G.

Food was OK and in super small portions, but the worst part was the service. They were not in a hurry at all! It took 45 minutes before they took our order, and the drinks took ages to come out! The waiter didn't seem to be interested in talking to us, and we had to flag him down whenever we wanted something.

    (2)
  • Christopher L.

Food was okay BUT wow talk about horrible service. Sat 10 minutes before being helped for the guy to still look at me then help others that sat after me first. Bad service continued as I had to flag people down constantly to be helped. Was seeing if others had the same issue and everyone around me was doing the same. Go to any restaurant around here before choosing this one.

  • Molly M.

Tacos are fantastic. Service is not. Some friends and I went in before a baseball game during the week to enjoy their $2 tacos and Tecate deal. The server was forgetful, unprofessional and seemed drunk. She came back to our table twice to ask again what we had ordered and then proceeded to sit in a booth with some pals before putting our order in. It took three times longer to get our food than the patrons who had ordered after us. If you have time to spare and don't mind poor service, go ahead. But if you ever worked in the service industry, be prepared to be disappointed.

We went last night - arriving around 7pm right after the Rockie's croud had left so the place was dead. I was going to order their skinny version of the marg but it was $11 (which of course they don't print on the drink menu because who wants to pay $11 for a drink?) Ordered a Margarita with NO SALT, came with salt. Then the next round we waited 15 minutes while the Margarita sat at the bar with the ice melting - had to remind the waitress to go get it and also remind her we didn't want salt - thankfully she screwed up that again so we got a fresh marg instead of the melted one. The food took 30 minutes to arrive. For mexican food, especially given the fact the restaurant was dead, this is super slow. Thankfully the food was very tasty - I had the blackened chicken. That was the one saving grace. I left feeling pretty good about the food but then when we got outside we noticed they were having a $1 mini-marg special which our waitress neglected to tell us about when we asked about specials. Probably not going to go back - so many other Mexican options that are cheaper, have better service, and just as good food.

Oh, boy. I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to my office, but alas... it was not to be. Let's start with a bowl of two-tone chips -- some overcooked to an unappetizing dark brown and the others, soft and soggy, with no color. I might be wrong, but the salsa looked an awful lot like the stuff that you can buy under the "Pace Picante Sauce" label. Ordered mahi tacos. The apple jicama slaw would have been great on this taco. OR the cucumber jalapeño salsa. OR the pico de gallo. But to put all three on one poor little taco? It was like a condiment catastrophe. I think this restaurant will be a hit with people coming downtown for a Rockies game -- looking for some meat and cheese to accompany a beer or two -- or perhaps an after-work drink. And I do plan to give it another try (in a week or two) because I really, really want to like this place...

    (2)
  • Cody C.

If you want good queso then this is a good place to go... I wouldn't order any other Mexican food here though. My room mate got some kind of burrito and he had me taste it because he is somewhat critical of the Mexican cuisine (since he is one) and I agreed that it tasted... BLAH!... I had the burger and it was actually pretty good.

    (3)
  • Jeff E.

Not impressed. Our group tried three different kinds of burritos, the chicken enchiladas and their chili relleno and they were all a big let down. The best part of the evening was their marg on the rocks and their chips and salsa. Do yourself a favor and pay a visit to any of Denver's great Mexican restaurants and avoid Zi South!

    (2)
  • Jason R.

Shrug. This place was decent. We went before a game. We got some so-so shrimp cocktail/ceviche and some half rate "skinny" margs (no sugar added?). The price was a bit steep and the service was so-so. The salsa was pretty good. I'll give them that.

    (3)
  • Ben M.

Free chips and salsa, though salsa tastes store bought. Burger was good, quesarito was good, southwestern salad ok. Carne asada tacos perfectly cooked, but under seasoned and strangely topped with mushrooms. Cool bartenders, margarita specials, limited beer selection. Slow waiter service.

This place is super fun, with great food and awesome location. I went to Zi South on opening day, which also happened to be St. Patty's. The food was great, and service was hopping!! I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, which were a good size, fresh and tasty. I was super glad to find healthy options on the menu. Added bonus - I was with some friends who can't eat gluten - and they had gluten free snacks that didn't leave them feeling sick. : ) We washed the appetizers (that's all they were serving on opening day) with some St. Patty's cheer. I noticed they had a good selection of flavored vodkas. I highly recommend the Tres Olives Loopy (tastes like Fruit Loops) with cranberry. Awesome!!! The inside of the place is pretty swanky. Have to agree with the previous reviewer on the bathrooms - seriously, they are just too darn cool!!! I'm looking forward to checking this place out for dinner!

    (5)
  • Bruce E.

The salsa is amazing and made here. They have a great chef. It does not look like a Mexican restaurant. It looks like trendy LA, fun. It's a great spot for before or after the Rockies games since its across the street from Coors field. Try the Mahi Mahi tacos; awesome.

A new review for the start of the Rockies Season. New special is 2-4-1 Breckenridge Vodka or Whiskey drinks 2 hours prior to game through post game. How can you beat that as a pre-game party. Great snacks pre game and great location being a block away. If you aren't here...then I cry for you!

The poke taco was so good I have been thinking about it for weeks. The prices were great for downtown, especially the specials and 60 cent wings on Sunday.

fantastic brunch spot, or place to go catch a game while sitting at the bar. The decor is really attractive, nice vibe, light and friendly. I've never seen it crowded so snagging a seat is never an issue. Nice bottomless mimosas deal and the zi breakfast I think it's called comes with one of the better waffles I've had in the area. Queso is great too. I've never been for dinner though and would imagine that for a nice sit down Mexican meal you can do better in the area. But for a great friendly brunch drinking hole you can't do much better than this.

  • Heather M.

Came here off of Scout Mob...great service and friendly staff....I thought the chips and salsa were pretty tasty. I had the seafood enchiladas, which were good. The rice on the side had a bit of kick to it. The meal was very filling. I liked the interior and I got to watch some football on the tv screens at the bar.

I am so happy we have another restaurant in the neighborhood! My husband and I have been there at least half a dozen times and had amazing food and service all but one visit. We spoke to management the one time we went and the food and service were not very good, and she was very apologetic and took care of one of our entrees! We didn't expect that, but wanted to make them aware because we want this place to succeed. I think the shrimp fajitas are the best, but have tried several things on the menu and haven't been disappointed. I'm not a huge Margarita fan, but I drink them at this place because they are sooo good!

  • Nick V.

I have to agree with the majority of previous reviews...this place has so much potential, which unfortunately is not realized. The good...margaritas, which are nice and strong and not too sweet, they were great (however not for the price, about $11-12 each). The interior is very modern and clean as well. The bad...as everyone else mentioned is service! Ours was not horrible but definitely not good for the price. First, we waited for almost 5 minutes at the empty hostess stand without our presence even being acknowledged. On a Saturday night this should've been a clue!! Second, the place was DEAD while we were there, at 7pm on Saturday...yikes. Our waiter while somewhat pleasant was definitely not happy to be there. My wife asked for no salt on the margarita...guess what...it had salt. We asked for water, had to remind the waiter 10 minutes later. We didn't eat a full dinner, but had a dip with chips, and NEVER received silverware and/or napkins...so I had to wipe my hands on my jeans...awesome! The food I can't comment too much on since we only had an appetizer, but I can confidently say that those tortilla chips are worse than Tostitos out of the bag. And the "patty dip" we ordered was waaaay too salty and just amateurish. I could make that when I was 12. I'm surprised this place is still open, and unless they turn this around soon, they won't be for long. Denver has too many good restaurants for a mediocre place like this to stay in business.

  • Joel F.

Pretty standard food. Not great, but certainly not bad at all. Happy Hour can be solid pricing. I have been here probably 4 times. I don't go out of my way, but on occasion it is nice. Service has been good each time. Never busy.

  • RoseAnn V.

Went there because someone who knows the owner recommended it. The food was good but the rest was not. Went with my bestie and she has a temp Wyoming license. Everywhere else it has not been an issue, here it was. They flat out refused, when pressed the manager started showing the license to patrons asking them if it was legit. Totally unprofessional. The waitress was good but that is no way for a manager to act.

  • Tyler M.

I've been here a few times and the experiences have all been the same. I've sat at the bar each time. The food is good but the service varies depending on who you have serving you. Usually that's the case anywhere, but at Zi South there's no real middle ground, they're either horrible or good. The girl with the tats is the worst (doesn't pay attention, takes forever to make drink, smokes butts on the patio with the door open like 4 feet from the bar). The guy with the beard is good. When there are only 10 people at the bar and probably another 10 in the restaurant total... you'd think that service would at least be good for small numbers like that.

    (3)
  • Jeff M.

Wow, such potential...worst service I've ever experienced...don't go here. I think it's time for a restaurant intervention.

Great food and atmosphere! Wonderful food and drink...great bar. I've had brunch at Zi several times and lunch and dinner as well. Always friendly and food is always delicious. Wild Wednesdays with 1/2 price wines is are amazing. I highly recommend this experience. Don't miss it!

On the way home from a Rapids game, we stumbled upon this place while on the prowl for some late night mexican food. We had absolutely no real expectations of the food, but were very excited when we realized it was more upscale than we had originally thought. When we walked in it was pretty empty which was a surprise because it was a weekend night and this place is located very close to downtown. We ordered chile relleno and a steak burrito. The chile relleno was definitely frozen and reheated to serve to us and the steak burrito was covered in enough cheese to give a small child a heart attack (still tasted good under the cheese though) so that bumped a star off my review. The waiter then gave us some attitude when friends joined us and wanted to be on a separate check so that bumped another star off. However, the drink specials were excellent and the atmosphere was fun with great music playing and kind bar staff. I would recommend to people going for a snack or a late night drink away from the club scene downtown.

We went in for dinner during a rockies game last week. The decor was nice, and we were seated promptly. The place was pretty empty but our service still ended up being really slow somehow. We had the blue corn enchiladas and the chicken fajitas, plus a couple of tacos. The food was good, especially the fajitas. They also have a pretty tasty house marg for $5! Overall I liked the place. Our server was nice when he was around and the food was good. If I'm in the area again and want a casual bite, i'll give them another try.

Awful, I would definitely not return. The only part of the meal that was remotely acceptable was the margarita. I ordered gluten free tacos per their menu, they came out with all sorts of gluten (fried, battered, etc) and we had to send them back. The waitress was no where to be found for most of the meal, even though we were her only table. The food was mediocre at best, very bland with little flavor. Do yourself a favor, go to Benny's or Pinche instead.

Too Bad: I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because it had a few things going for it that were GREAT. For instance, the service. I was served by a bartender named Emily - super friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly even when I said the House Margarita "sucked" she agreed with me (even though she did not take it off the bill when I did not drink it). The chips and salsa are made "in house" which is the first thing I look for in Denver and they were delicious. But since the margarita was one of the worst I have ever had in Denver and the Fajitas also sucked that is why my rating is low. I am not surprised since this place touts itself as Mexican/American cuisine. Never go get fajitas from a place that sells Caesar Salad and Hamburgers. The fajita meat was not seasoned at all and it was lying on a bed of bell peppers and a "pool of soupy brown onions". The onions were sweet and brown like those in a bowl of French Onion Soup. On a positive note, the ceviche is out of this world. Multiple textures and flavors in this crisp delicacy that seemed like I was in Yelapa Mexico. It had the right balance of acid from the citrus, cucumbers, jalapenos and fresh avocados so that item was the saving grace from my meal. Great service with "hit or miss" food does not entice people to come back. They should just say they are an American restaurant and surprise you with a few Mexican specialties. Check my other reviews for better choices.

Food was good, loved the fries. This place was dead for dinner on a Sunday night. The worst part was 4 tvs at the bar playing some extreme skiing videos at full blast, impossible to have a conversation as surround speakers are above every seat in the place. Probably a better place for a few drinks before a game, but I will not go out of my way to come here, expected a bit more but feels like more of a bar than restaurant which I was not looking for this particular night.

Amazing tacos!!! We tried all of them and they were all amazing. Chips and salsa was incredible and their specials are good too. Great location to stop before or after the game. Definetly going to become a regular:)

I stopped by for the first time this week for lunch and had the Machaca Quesorito and added green chile. It was delicious and one of the best burritos I've had in the Denver area. The machaca, or shredded beef, was plentiful, seasoned well, and lean. I would recommend for a business lunch as the atmosphere was great and not too loud. Everyone at my table was pleased. I look forward to trying other menu items in the future.

This place is in a great location, has great food and a great drink collection. I tried one of every kind of taco and they are all delicious. Definitely coming back soon. Service was also exceptional.

I tried to give this place 2 stars but I really can't...this is a prime example of a restaurant that has a great location and uses that as an excuse to be mediocre, or in this case, pretty awful. I honestly don't know how any reviewer with any sense of good food could say this food was anything more than average. My Dad was in town visiting and we decided to buy a Groupon for here as it is right by Coors Field and we were going to go to the Rockies game. We ended up not going to the game and went here the following night when there was no game. There were maybe 4-5 tables full in the entire place, so I guess we were spared the horrendous service that has been in a lot of reviews on here. Unfortunately, the service was the best thing we got here as the food was abysmal. The menu is just a weird mix of pseudo Mexican and American choices. We stayed on the Mexican side. The chips and salsa were average at best. We got a calamari appetizer that was probably the best part of the meal and it also was average at best. I got 2 tacos as a main course, one fish and one barbacoa. The barbacoa was just awful. The fish was serviceable but still not good. My Dad got the chili relleno which was the strangest chili relleno I have ever seen, it looked like a hot pocket. All in all do not waste your time with this place. It is a shame such a crappy restaurant sits in such a prime location. It's almost like the staff knows it is bad also, that is the vibe I got from our server. Just not good across the board.

Needed a place to hang out and kill an hour with two kids while we wait for the wives to finish the Color Run 5K. They let us in early before they opened. The Bloody Mary's are excellent! Great breakfast menu and awesome music!! Thanks Zi South!!

Went for the weekend wings and margaritas special. The Good - Traditional Buffalo Wings for 60¢. They had a perfect heat and a perfect crisp. The Blue Cheese was chunky and flavorful, unlike most places in Denver. The Margaritas were cheap, tasty, and got to the table quick. The Bad - The Honey Sriracha wings were mostly honey, no Sriracha heat. The celery was obviously frozen before and thawed. You could bend them into a ring without breaking them. Fresh celery would have snapped. I'll certainly be back to try other foods... if I don't fill up on wings first.

Hosted a "true urban socialite" (whatever that is supposed to mean) event on 9/28 bringing the wrong crowd to the neighborhood that ended up with 2 victims of gunshots. I would give it zero stars if I could

Nice decor, the the nautical ropes are a bit incongruant. Sexy bartender, taco Tuesdays is a great promotion, food is really outstanding and inventive. The breakfasts are very good, though the steak and eggs were a little too cutesy for me, the ham and cheese omelet in green chili was great. The hostess is always super friendly and kind.

After putting our name in at Snooze, we discovered this little gem down the street! They have a fabulous assortment of drink specials ($4 Bloodys with a hearty vodka pour, $3 draft Coors Light) and what looked like a promising brunch menu though we didn't indulge. Servers were friendly, drinks were tasty, menu looked promising = we'll be back!

Highly recommend. Havent had anything i dont like here, great wings, tacos and drinks. I also really like the atmosphere, good music, sports on tv, solid decor - esp a lot of good seating options for groups over 4 ppl. Sometimes the service is inexplicably slow, kinda frustrating when the place isnt busy. The only downside tho

Seems some folks have received some bad service and been on the end of some general problems. Luckily, we were not. Came here after a beer festival nearby, and were a bit peckish. Walked by, decided to stop on in, and am pretty happy we did. Tacos were tasty and unique, the beers were cheap, and we had a pretty good light meal. Staff was a little slow, but nothing crazy like some of these other reviews are stating.

Stopped in to get a beer on the way to Rockies home opener. I wearing a Rockies shirt and my boyfriend wearing a Cubs shirt. Lucked out and got seats a the bar. Sadly the ahole bartender deliberately served everyone around us after seeing we still had no drinks. Even served guys that walked up and stood behind us... wtf Will never ever go back there. Wasted 20 min for nothing. Made sure to tell everyone what unbelievably horrible service. Don't know if the bartender doesn't like the Cubs or if he's just a full on jerk!

I'm a big fan of Zi South. It's near my house, I know the staff, I've watched them ebb, flow, struggle, and shine. My rating is based on all of my experiences here, over the course of a couple years, which has generally been really good. I've personally experienced the slow service other Yelpers have mentioned, and I've seen it happen in sections of the restaurant even as I was getting very attentive service. In general, the service has steadily improved over time, and waiting to be served was more typical early on. I like the food at Xi South, especially their wings, and back-to-basics brunch. I am still sorely disappointed that they have no intention of replacing their waffle iron, however, as the Zi Street with a waffle and sausage would call to me while I lay in bed on Sundays. I'd love it if Yelp nation would join me in pleading for the waffle's return! Anyway, Zi South is still my go-to for $2 Sessions, a huge Tequila selection, friendly staff (despite the sporadic crush of fans from Coors Field across the street), and a good time in general.

We have given this restaurant chance after chance. It is always a disappointment. Service is slow, orders are wrong etc. if you want to be ignored and have marginal food., this is the place to go. If you want service and amazing food go across the street to Breckenridge Brewery.

Definitely not the best mexican food, but that's not really why people come here. If you're coming here it's most likely because it's close to Coors field or you want some cheap margaritas. Some weird things on their menu to order. Order the wings, any flavor but especially the buffalo wings (they are SO good). Order the z-pow, it's a meat queso dip with green chile sauce on it, it's unbelievable and probably the only reason I'm giving Zi's a 3 star instead of a 2. They have really good weekly specials like $2 margaritas, $0.60 wings, $2 tacos, and even $12 bottomless mimosas.

I really was disappointed with this place. We went here for a friend's birthday and really regretted our decision. Started with the waitress, she gave us a hard time for requesting separate checks, then an hour after we ordered we continued to sit there without even water. Then 1.5 hours later she comes back to tell us they're out of strawberry margaritas. Ordered a plain Margarita, never did end up getting it. Then after two hours with no sight of our waitress we ended up canceling our food order, paying and leaving. The waitress was so unapologetic and down right rude. Not sure how the food was.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but something doesn't seem right about fusion eateries near the entertainment districts of big cities. First, the trendy websites and club-like feel of the decor seem to be taking a gaudy approach to cover a rather lacking menu. Alongside burgers, you have standard tacos, dips, and an assortment of tequila. But, when you see most individuals sticking to Bud Light at a joint with a vast array of liquor, be wary... The queso was pretty mediocre for being homemade. Service was shoddy. Atmosphere was too much. I don't recommend this eatery, in any avenue.

The margarita was an over pour but with Patron thats ok. Food is nothing special and takes a bit (15 for a tostada?). Staff seemed more concerned about talking to friends then serving customers. And if you are a bartender and someone orders top shelf booze, pay attention to them. They have money to spend.

Went on a Friday night for a special occasion with a group of friends. The restaurant wasn't full, and there was a concert going on next door at Coors so you would figure a place in this location could handle a group of people on a Friday night! No way. We were seated and waited 35 min before the rude waitress even came to ask us what we wanted to drink. We never even got drink menus, but whatever. We had a feeling they were going to be slow so we ordered our food and drinks together. Waited 1.5 hours before our drinks (which only 1/2 of us received) came! And two thirds of the drinks weren't even what we ordered! Finally we politely asked the waitress when our food would be coming since we had somewhere to be and instead of being apologetic that we had been waiting almost 2 hours, she snapped at us telling us it wasn't her fault. We decided to cancel our food order and asked for our checks. It took her 45 minutes to even bring us the bills! Not to mention a couple who walked out of the restaurant and came up to our table and told us they made reservations 2 weeks in advance, waited an hour to receive the one margarita they ordered, and never got their food so just left. In my opinion, the place is such a great location, it needs to go out of business and be reopened by kind people who know how to run a restaurant. I will never suggest this place to anyone.

I have never received worse service than we did on Friday, July 6th. We had reservations weeks before. We arrived at 6 and barely got our drinks by 8. The service was incredibly slow and unbelievable how terrible the staff handled the crowd. I wish I could rate the food but we decided to cancel our food when it got close to 8 and leave. Absolutely ridiculous! I never plan on going back unless I hear they step up their game.

Tacos. Tequila. These are simple things. To fail to deliver those items is rather pathetic. Sort of like failing at making a baloney sandwich (which is always gross, but also ridiculously easy: just stick it between bread), Zi South (the etymology of that name is a mystery) can't make a taco to save their life. They also can't make a neat glass of tequila. The chips were undersalted, from a bag, and rather "bleh" which is a good sign that nothing else will be any good. The salsa was watery and rather flavorless: was there a pepper in there anywhere or was it just cilantro, tomato, onion and water (it was like pico but very runny). Really, though, the first clue should have been the generic sriracha on each table. For "Mexican" food. Then we ordered fries. With queso not far removed from the 7-11 pump variety, but that's almost forgiveable. Really it was the "asada" that came on it: chewy, dry, under seasoned. It was like eating a "taco" from a particular franchise known for late night, drunken taxi cab food runs. Actually, that would have been better. I ordered lengua and shirmp tacos that would have had zero flavor if it weren't for the mild taste of Cholula (which I drenched the aforementioned tacos in). Meh. The shells were corn, but fried (unadvertised) and tasted as bland and chewy as the rest of the dish. At $2 a taco, I can see drunk folks lining up to stuff their maws with mediocre food. At $4-5 a taco, I expect at least something approaching "not overcooked" and "seasoned properly". Ah, to live is to dream. If the tacos weren't bad enough, there was the tequila. I ordered a Silver tequila which was not exactly "high end" but not low end by any means and the bartender broke the cork. This flummoxed her and she offered an "upgrade" (they were the same price on the menu) to the Reposado (sometimes you want the peppery taste of a silver). This was funny because most bartenders would use, you know, a damn wine key to extract the broken cork (I'm sure her bar manager loves her) instead of pouting and giving up. Am I being too harsh? I should mention that a person in our party asked for "aged rum" and as the waittress hadn't heard of "Appleton" (which is like the Maker's or Blanton's of rum: not amazing but if you haven't heard of it, you don't know jack shit about rum) and instead gave him some spiced Captain Morgan. Sigh. Our "reposado" was also poured very very "scrupulously". E.g. it was far less than even an ounce of liquid and though we asked for "neat" we got salt and lime ("yay, because I have a tramp stamp and loves the tequila, dude"). If you wear cargo shorts, backwards baseball caps, and down eight or ten beers in one evening before resorting to violence, then perhaps this place is for you. After the ten beers you won't notice the overcooked beef, the inexperienced staff, or the shitty drinks. In fact, if you go there at all, you should probably be nursing at least a major buzz on the way to a full blown bender. Then it's probably amazing.

I've decided to update as I've had a disappointing experience- they've managed to mess up a salad.... I ordered a taco salad without any meat. It came out 10 minutes after my fellow diner's food, made up of only romaine and meat - no salad dressing, veggies, or the side additions I ordered. I'm sorry to say I won't be returning, which is upsetting as their waitstaff is very friendly.

We went for happy hour- 2 for 1 drinks (select variety) and $2 tacos. I got a couple of Bob Marley tacos and they were okay. I like the veggie mix and the shells had a nice flavor and were not overly greasy as fried shells often are. The margs aren't very strong. I felt more like I was drinking a soft drink than a margarita. I like the building and interior design. The co-ed restroom hand washing station is innovative. I like it. Parking can be a challenge and not all tacos are actually $2 which was a surprise. Nevertheless, they were worth what we paid. We would try it again.

I've been here a couple of times and each time I have been so disappointed. Margaritas are almost always only margarita mix. The queso is pretty great but their fajitas lack in flavor. The pico that comes with the fajitas always taste freezer burnt, especially the tomatoes.

So it's Rockies opening day. Wanted to try something new. So we went here. Took 20 minutes for our drinks and this place wasn't busy. I ordered a Margarita. Simple right. So I asked for it with out contreau and they brought me 1/2 a drink. She said it was because I ordered it with out the contreau. I told her that that ingredient is a topper. She said they started a new drink menu today and the bar tenders didn't know how to make the drinks. How do you roll out a new menu on opening day.

This was our first visit for dinner using a $30 Groupon. We were promptly seated in a 6 person booth near the bar. There was enough light to read the menu. We were the only ones dining tonight. Everyone else was around the bar having drinks. It seemed like the bar was the main focus of the restaurant. The menu on the internet needs to be updated. The Seafood Enchiladas and the Chicken Tacos were not on the internet menu. We were served complimentary chips and salsa. Both were good. We then ordered a dish of guacamole for $4.50 which was the same size as the salsa bowl. The guacamole had chunks of tomatoes and was well seasoned. I ordered the Seafood Enchiladas. The plate and food were hot. The plate of food had been put in the oven and there was splatter all over the plate from the beans. There was one piece of shrimp in the enchilada and mainly imitation crab. I did not taste any salmon. My husband ordered 3 hard shell tacos (Mahi Mahi, Barbacoa, and Chicken). They were standard size tacos. Not small street tacos like Taco an Urban Taqueria on 1515 Blake St. He liked the Mahi Mahi the best. The server was friendly. She got busy as more people came in. We had to ask for more water. She asked if we wanted dessert before bringing the check. There are so many other places to try. We probably won't be back. I would go to Taco an Urban Taqueria or Margs Taco Bistro before returning to Zi South.

This is a cool spot, right across the street from Coors Field. The inside is clean, fresh, modern. The food is great and the drinks are reasonably priced considering it is downtown Denver. I highly recommend the fajitas! They were great. My friend's tacos looked good too. They are worth a try. Parking can be a pain because...well....it is downtown Denver.

I have been here multiple times as I live and work close by.. Having been in the service industry previously for seven years I am very forgiving if a server is slammed or if there are situations that are out of their control. The service here is seriously horrible, as other Yelpers seemed to have reported. The food comes out insanely slow and the servers rarely stop by to check on you regardless of how busy the restaurant is. I have been in there on a completely dead day and sat with an empty drink for ten minutes. Service is definitely a one and the reason we won't go back there. Your best bet is sitting at the bar as the bartenders seem to be slightly more attentive. The food, however is decent. I would give it a 3 of 5, maybe more if it were more consistent. You can go there and have the most delicious tacos, and then go back a week later, order the same thing, and be less impressed. Even if this place were the freaking holy grail of food I seriously would not go back because the service is bad enough to legitimately piss you off and ruin your night.

Arrive on a Saturday night at 545pm and the place was empty, uuumm maybe a sign. First disappointment: a Mexican restaurant that does not serve chips and salsa. Disappointed in the small amount of food in the vegetarian fajitas for 2. Seriously, the smallest amount of guacamole and beans. Our waitstaff was rather nonchalant and not very helpful. All in all, don't bother.

What a great place! I try not to miss Tuesday's taco specials. The tacos are amazing and they are constantly refining them to make them even better. And since they are a tequila bar, the margaritas are awesome. And no three marg limit! Good atmosphere and location. Not too fancy, but not even close to dive-y. And the bartenders and wait staff are great!

Close to three stars but no cigar. Sorry Zi South but there is MUCH that needs improvement. The question is where to start... First, let me set the scene: we arrived as part of a group of 16 for a friend's birthday. They knew we were coming and they had a long table set up for us. However, there were no menus, napkins or silverware set out. We had to ask for these separately. It was not a busy time so I fail to see why the reservation had not been set up. Our server, while very nice and polite, was absent for almost the entire meal. While waiting for the whole group to arrive a few of us ordered drinks and had to wait about ten minutes for them to arrive. There were about three other people in the whole restaurant and no employee to be found (except for the ones chatting behind the bar paying attention to no one). When the birthday boy has to leave his table and go to the bar to get drinks you know there's a problem. Drinks were fine. The $1 mini margarita was decent but nothing to write home about. Fair selection of beer and mixed drinks but where's the Pacifico? The Modelo? The Corona? This is a Mexican food place so why not serve beer that compliments that motif? Speaking of food - I can see why some people would like this place but it's far from good Mexican food. When we came on Monday the quesoritos were on special. Basically it looked like a huge pile of bleh covered in cheese and some other junk. For $4 on Monday I know why most people like it but I have had a better burrito at Chipotle. The salsa was bland, the chips were flaky. I ordered two tacos at $4 a piece and I left hungry. Not cool at all. Somehow I spent $20 just for me while a party of two spent $15 and had more to eat and drink than me! There's a big imbalance here. The ambiance is nice, the staff very polite and the place was clean. Everyone raved about the bathrooms. Although I did not visit them I'll give props just because of word of mouth. Apparently they look like indoor outhouses. Hmm...

The margaritas are alright, and they're definitely the best thing about Zi South. The interior is pretty nice too. But the food just isn't that great. I'm a vegetarian, so I have not had any of their meat dishes. Here's what I have tried though: chips and salsa are not bad. Do not order the queso--it's probably the worst I've ever had, and I am a huge queso fan so I try it everywhere I go; this one was like Velveeta with a can of diced tomatoes added to it. The black bean burger was alright, though it's one of those that falls apart very easily, so that's annoying. The tacos are so-so but fairly bland. The Mexican pizza would have been good if it wasn't soggy from being covered in some sauce that wasn't listed on the menu as one of the ingredients--which is a hug pet peeve of mine: don't add additional ingredients without reflecting that on the menu! The cheese enchilada was actually tasty (though it had onion--which was NOT on the menu), as are the chipotle-cheddar mashed potatoes, which is a side. On Mondays they offer $1 mini margs during happy hour. I thought that sounded like an excellent deal, so I ordered one. Oh--it's frozen. They don't tell you that though, and I don't typically drink frozen margs; I prefer mine on the rocks. But like I said originally, the margaritas are decent.. I live on the block, so I'll continue to stop in for happy hour. But that's about it.

All day drink and food specials! Need I say more? Convenient to Coors Field and large parking lot next door for midweek lunch on non-game days. Friendly staff. I have tried all of the ala carte tacos and have never been disappointed. Nice tequila selection as well. Even the bathroom is one of kind!

I've said in many reviews of Mexican restaurants that the decor is pretty much always the same in all of them. This has more of a cool lounge vibe and I liked it. We went on a Saturday night, not during baseball season, and the place was dead as a doornail. There were a few groups at the large, central bar, and just a couple of seated tables. To be fair, this isn't a prime location when baseball's not happening, but I was a bit surprised to see just how empty it was at 6:30pm. Aside from the ambiance, though, we found this to be pretty standard Mexican food. The chips and salsa exist. They're not bad, they're not great, but they are free. I had a house margarita which came out very quickly and tasted great, and wasn't all mix. For dinner, we had fajitas and a queso burrito. The fajitas were solid but nothing special. There was a surprisingly small amount of vegetables on the skillet, which made them very meaty. The guacamole was bland, although I can vouch for it being homemade because about half of it was just a big chunk of avocado that hadn't been properly mashed. The queso burrito was quite good. It had a nice mix of ingredients, and the queso sauce was not too heavy. It was supposed to be smothered in green and red chili, but we only noticed green. Not a complaint, really, because we both like green chili better than red, but just an observation. Another observation: nothing here had any spicy heat to it. We like our salsa and chili to have some heat, but it was all very tame. Overall, if we were going to a game and wanted a bite to eat before or after, I would definitely consider coming back here. But I don't think we'd make another special trip to come over here just for dinner.

They have good food and drinks. I'm sitting in here. Tens of thousands of people are leaving the Coors stadium and walking past here not coming in. if I owned this place I'd have a sign twirler or a girl in a bikini outside waving people in.

This is a great spot for bottomless mimosas. The food is so so, but the mimosas never stop flowing for $13. It's a great deal. And the wait staff is great. I'd suggest going with a group here before a football game. Also, there's easy access to the light rail, so no worries about drinking and driving!

Monday is the day to go - 1$ mini margs! This swanky looking place was all but desolate on New Years Eve around 6PM. But a large group of us enjoyed ourselves alright. Lets just say the blended, tasty and strong mini margs for a single American dollar is what I blame the rest of my drunken NYE on. I enjoyed three of them in the 1.5 hours I was there! Then I proceeded to make terrible booze decisions all over Denver, thanks to Zi south and those tasty treats (and I suppose my inner party animal booze hound tendencies) They have daily specials and on Mondays, these $1 margs & their 1/2 price (beef and/or bean only) quesoritos (sp?) are worth the 6$. They were just burritos w/extra cheese, but they were good. I ate half and took half home. The service was not great considering how empty this place was. The ambiance was odd as it was so empty, and we were partying pretty good. The chips & salsa were good, not as bad as other reviews indicate. The design was the best part of this place. The bathrooms were weird and fun, and I bet the patio is sweet when it is nice out. They had TVs scattered around with strange visuals and some good 90s classics pumping until it got later, then they played some trendy techno-ish crap. But by then we were ready to move on and the margs were sinking in. I would go back, but with low expectations. I like the location and the idea - they just need to act like they care now that the business is up and running.

We stopped in last night with friends. First, the atmosphere is pretty cool. It almost seems like a modern, but classic diner type feel. The bar is an elongated main central island with a few TVs above it. Nice bar. They had some beer specials listed, but were "out" of one. No big deal. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, I was anxious to try out their salsa. I'm pretty critical of salsas because I love Mexican food, and I also have an amazing homemade recipe. I guess I'm a salsa snob. So, I really wasn't impressed with the salsa. It tasted store bought or from a can. I know it can be time consuming to make fresh salsa, but like others have said, it is the first thing a patron tastes usually. It had darn well better be good. It really wasn't that great. I still ate it, but I didn't love it. I ordered a queso burrito with steak. It was HUGE!! And, it was very DELICIOUS!!! The taste and quality of the burrito was top notch. One of the best burritos I've had, maybe ever. Service was good, although the bill was a bit slow to come and a bit slow to process. Overall, I can't give it a 5, and can't give it a 3. The service could get a little faster, the salsa needs changed, and don't list drink specials you don't have. Food was awesome though.

I went back here after having a couple experiences with sort of bland food. I had the wings this time, buffalo style. REALLY good. So good that I had to add another star. This place is okay in my book after that.

Amazing tacos! I really loved the fish tacos, the steak was great as well but my goodness.... Terrible service... Like terrible freaking service. :( I came in knowing they were busy. Made it easy by knowing what to order right away. And literally didn't receive anymore service after our initial order. Even once it was slowed down. The bar wasn't even half full any more and the bartenders wouldn't even look out way. The man sitting next to us was never greeted, he got up and left after 15-20 minutes. Sad day.

The patio is definitely a nice place to sit and enjoy cocktails. Please keep in mind when you're talking really loud/smoking/singing/fighting/crying that people live DIRECTLY above you (me). Anyway, we wanted to try this place since we've been listening to construction noise for a couple of months now. It was "happy hour" from 2pm-10pm on Saturday so that meant $4 Blue Moons and Pacificos and $6 house margaritas- which really aren't that "happy" because their house margs are ALWAYS $6. They also have .60cent wings. Michael got an order of hot wings with ranch. They came out with BBQ wings, but Michael ate them anyway and said they were pretty good. When I saw HIS margarita I was pretty disappointed in the ice/margarita ratio (see picture). It was literally ice with a side of sweetened lime juice. I ordered a fish taco ($3.50) and it was a decent size, although their taco prices go up to $4.50 depending on the fillings. I don't think any one taco is worth more than $3 at most. The fish was good, but by no means is one taco a meal. Michael then ordered their quesorito burrito with ground beef and beans. I found that it had too many beans inside, and the red chili on the outside was the same consistency as the beans on the inside. It just seemed kind of mushy and dry all at the same time. The space is nice, and it's definitely all centered around their enormous bar. We'll most likely try it again for $2 taco tuesday.

Stopped in for brunch after the Color Run. Amazing from the start. We were a large group and the majority of us are service industry, and I can honestly say if I was working and saw our group come in my heart would sink. Thank goodness the staff here has more resolve than I do!! Emily greeted us with the most genuine smile and seriously gave us the most accommodating service we've ever bad at brunch. We schmeared colored cornstarch EVERYWHERE and this girl just laughed with us and hooked us up with an awesome morning. The entire staff was on board with giving us a great experience and we truly appreciate being treated with the highest quality of service! To top it all off the food was delish. All in all an awesome experience. We will be back!

The food is legit. People complain about free stuff? Order some food. I had Tacos on Tuesday. The Zi Queso on Wednesday. Great flavor. I'll be back.

Went here for a $30 groupon for $15. Walked over from the apartment on a beautiful day. Enjoyed two margaritas. I got fajitas which came with little shot glasses of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. The grilled chicken was delicious. My guy got the enchilada which had black beans and rice, was delicious. Service great, there's plenty of outdoor seating.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
