I really really really dig this place! I love all of the beer options, and I also love that you can order food from any of the surrounding restaurants and eat it here. We went on a slow Saturday, but our service was really fantastic! They had things on tap from local breweries that I had never seen on tap. Was awesome!

Constantly rotating draft list and hundreds of bottles to choose from. You can't get much better when it comes to variety and quality of beer especially in this part of town. Plenty of TVs to watch sports on and a beautiful patio for the good weather. Although it doesn't serve food, there are several deck it restaurants near by that you can pick up from or have delivered straight to the restaurant! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And on Tuesdays they have trivia! You can also join a rewards program which tracks what beers you drink there which is fun.

We ended up not even getting our drinks until almost 10pm, we arrived at 8:30. It took an hour and a half for us to have a beer ordered... I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I went with a girlfriend one night. We find a seat inside and 5 minutes later a waitress dropped off a menu and ran away. Then we waited 20 more minutes (literally) without seeing our waitress and I thought the only explanation could be that she forgot about us. I went inside where the waitress ignored me to help 2 two guys who came up after me. When she was done flirting she brushed me off and told me she knew we were there and would come out in a few minutes. I should note- I worked as a waitress for years so I'm usually really understanding. The bar was not that busy, I saw 2 other servers and she at least should have came and let us know if it would be a long wait.

I feel bad for giving them a lower rating, but in the scope of brewery choices in Denver - it just doesn't make much sense to visit WOB. They have most of your local brews on tap which is nice, but this place was pretty dead on a recent Saturday night visit. Probably because other locals have realized the same thing I did. I think the patrons here were mostly from the nearby Marriott/Hilton Cityset hotels. Really not a big deal, but again you can find better. I did like that they allow dogs on the patio, and even inside...I thought that allowing dogs inside was weird, but they don't serve food here so maybe that's why they allow it. We also liked the musician that was playing Saturday night. I can't for the life of me remember his name, but he might be the reason we come back. Otherwise, we'll probably just go back to Bull & Bush down the street.

What a shame. This place started off so well, but has gone downhill. The service is so mediocre-maybe not always, but the last few times I went in I was ignored for ages by the bartenders. Not even given a menu. I hit the 100 club a while back and despite having told them this the last two times of going and been told "oh we will get your t shirt and mug", it never appears. Apathy seems to be the trait of some of the employees. Don't bother signing up for their beer club-they don't honor their promises, so I really fail to see why anyone should pay for it!

Meh, just meh. The good...they have a lot of beer displayed in refrigerators that is a feast for the eyes of beer lovers like myself. They stock more than one chocolate stout and they were fantastic. The bad...many beers they stock are just the same swill you can find at any hole in the wall, but at prices that border on obnoxious. The live music was acoustic guitar versions of 90's rock, yuck. The ugly...the service sucked. It took 10 minutes for the bartender to realize my glass was empty. Another bartender was occupied flirting with a young lady who had caught his eye, for 20 or so minutes. The broken front door constantly blew in freezing cold air with a hint of cigarette smoke for ambiance. This was not a great experience.

2 stars for awful service, otherwise I would have gladly given somewhere in the ballpark of a 4. Pros: - Great outdoor deck - Incredible selection of beer (600) - Cocktails for the non-beer-drinkers (yay!) - BYOY (bring your own yums) - plus or minus, depending. It was a surprise to us - Looks like they do a lot of event nights (Trivia, Students, Ladies, etc.), so I'd be willing to give them another try then (and bring my own food) Cons: - Service - Only drinks, no food - not even peanuts - Service - Location is a bit hidden, but it's a great new gem for Denver/Glendale - Service Our service story goes like this: we sat on the roof deck, servers saw us, we waited 5 minutes, went inside to ask if there is service outside and were told yes, so we went back and waited another 5+ minutes before a server came to us. Everything we ordered was slow (very basic things - just drinks - because that's all they have), and the waitress took my drink before I was done. Big no-no! I still had a visible amount left. RE: Cocktails: I had the Ginger Smash, which is something like a Moscow Mule minus the copper cup. It had zero carbonation so, if that's your thing, do not order here. As long as you don't compare it to its Russian sibling, you'll be happy; the taste is good once you mash around the lime and mint (I got it without simple syrup).

A great place for a beer. A little pricey, but you can try a sample of anything for free. We were really disappointed that their flights were so expensive. Each flight was about a dollar an ounce, so four 3oz samples will run you around $12. We ended up just trying the free sample and getting the full beer (the cheapest beer was $5) instead. The shots of alcohol were really expensive. The waitresses really make the place and would be a good reason to come back. They were really friendly, checked on us often, and had a infinite knowledge of beer. They don't technically serve food here (they have popcorn), but you can order out from 3 places nearby that will deliver. They don't have a WoB near us, so we couldn't take advantage of their repeat program (which costs money). Overall, now thanks to WoB, I am addicted to Nitro beer. I thought it was just something silly that hipsters did when they weren't drinking appletinis, but it honestly made a huge difference.

I'm going to fall into the "there are much better beer bars around to spend your time at" camp. When I was reading the reviews, I was wondering how a bar with so many beer choices could possibly be bad. Turns out, there are a variety of ways this can happen: - Draft list is not that interesting. Same standards you see everywhere else at slightly higher than everyone else's prices - Not very knowledgable/engaging servers - Weird, really open layout - no matter where you sit, you're probably close to a door and on frigid nights, you should probably keep your coat on. - "I don't care" pours that are about 50% head (see photo) We came on a quiz night and the free pints that are typically awarded during bonus round for whoever can answer the question the fastest are tasters here. Free is free, but getting awarded one taster seemed like more of a hassle than anything. Parking at Cityset kind of sucks too. They don't serve food, but you can order in from anywhere (and there are lots of spots around, so that's sort of cool). Thankfully, this place made me realize what a great beer city I live in by reminding me of all the other great places to go that I find way more enjoyable!
(2)Natalia S.
Love love love this place. Come here pretty frequently! Morgan and Misty are the best! Make sure you get some pop corn and mix the two flavors together. BOMB!
(5)Stacia R.
I have had a positive experience all 3 times I've been here! The beer lists are long & full of different styles & countries of origin. The bottle list is an interactive one on a tablet so it's fun to navigate around; & the draught list is sorted by style, so it is easy to find your preferred style of the night! They allow outside food in which is great & dogs are allowed too which makes me happy! The staff is attentive & helpful; & the music they play had an interesting range of styles but wasn't too loud to talk over.
(5)Fancy Brew X.
Mehhh, like Epcot, but without food. Yes, you can get about any beer in the world here and that convenience comes with an inflated price tag. Their selection of beer on tap is impressive and once you're there, hard to resist. But now that you've read this review, you can skip this one and treat yourself instead to a fancy beer shopping spree at the nearest super liquor store. Your welcome.
(3)Joanna W.
This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I came to Denver from Austin and were looking for a fun, local place. We were looking for local Colorado beers that we can't get in Texas, and the bartender Griff hooked us up with some awesome ones. We enjoyed talking with Rocky and Griff about fun spots to visit while we are in town...both of them were very knowledgeable about both beers and tourist spots like red rocks, Rocky Mountain national park, etc. check this place out if in the area!
(5)Steph G.
This literally is a world's selection of beer in one establishment. Beer lovers, prepare to be amazed when you step foot in here. First, take a look at the bar and all the knobs that hang proudly along the wall. Hard to choose just looking there. And then your eyes will be drawn to the gazillion bottles they have in the fridge. Yup, and still there's more. Second, grab a menu and you shall find one with the beer on draught, then another with bottles. Holy cannoli, what's a girl to do? It's a bit stuffy in here so dress light if you're going to stay a while. One thing they should do is turn on the A/C. Otherwise, a great find!
(4)Jese S.
Unfortunately, my review is going to be the same as most here. It's a lot of beer.. I am not a beer drinker. They have Wine at World of Beer..which is a good thing. They have Vodka at World of Beer.. which is an even better thing. If it's packed it can be a bit slow to get any drinks, but the staff does their best to accommodate people. Plenty of tv's and people watching as well. Grab a bite to eat at one of the places close or just bring it on in. Good for groups, parties, and maybe even first dates. Parking can be a bit difficult, but there is a garage and a valet.
(3)Jordan P.
Swung by here for the first time a few days ago and sat on the patio. (We did actually step inside first as this was our first time here and the smell of beer was literally overpowering - I don't think we could have sat inside unless maybe you just get used to it?) Anyway, after being told you just seat yourself we headed back outside. Our server was AWESOME (and I really need to get better with names) but he was incredibly knowledgeable as we had a couple indecisive people in our group that aren't huge beer drinkers but he was more than happy to bring tasters out to see if he could find something they liked as well as make recommendations based on beers they have had/liked. As you can see in many other reviews, you can bring your food as they don't serve any but what I did NOT know was that all the places around WOB will bring the food to you - or so we were told. We had burgers from Big Smoke delivered and the table behind us had sandwiches from Cuba Cuba delivered, so that seems to be true. Overall, really great experience. Massive selection of beers but I suppose that goes without saying. They do have HH until 7 but we were so caught up in all the beer lists, none of us even asked what it was :) Everyone had a great time and I definitely look forward to going back.
(4)Andrea H.
So, we have been back recently and were waited on by Brice. Excellent. I hope they have been reading their reviews and improved upon wait time. He is knowledgable and friendly.
(3)Ken C.
Came up to watch a friend perform in the patio sat for over an hour now and still haven't received a beer. Don't come here if you have anyplace to be at any time, and it's not even that busy.
(2)Chris W.
Super awesome beer place, all they sell is beer and cocktails no food. Love the concept. Very nice decor, nice television sets, nice wood floors and walls everywhere and nice cool/dark atmosphere. So many beers on draft, like 40-50 and over 300 different types by bottle. Nice tables and furniture. Very comfortable place to sit and drink some great beers.
(5)Benjamin E.
Service is a little slow but they have an insane amount of selection and the staff knows their stuff. Definitely try this place out.
(4)Amy S.
Definitely a great selection of beer! I came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Tons of people watching the games. The bar tenders were friendly, and the atmosphere was fun. My biggest complaint is that it was a bit pricey. Not outrageous, but just a little shocker when you get your tab. Also, wish they had more flight options. I'd go back if a friend suggested it, though.
(3)Elizabeth M.
If you are a beer lover this place might overwhelm you. So many beers to choose from. For those of you who are not big beer drinkers they have a small wine selection and cocktails as well (which I don't think they had they last time I was there). They do not serve food at this location, however many surrounding restaurants where you can order some tasty bites.
(3)Samantha E.
A friend took me here for happy hour a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun! Like other reviews have mentioned, I think there are better beer bars out there and especially here in Denver, but it's definitely "A-OK." Some tidbits: --the beer menu is HUGE, which is definitely a perk. --however, the server we had wasn't particularly helpful with offering guidance or suggestions, which is a must at this kind of place. When I ordered something they ended up being out of, she just let me know I had to pick something else, when "well, if you like __ kind of beer I would suggest ___ instead" would have been really nice, and a lot better service. --For such a gigantic beer menu, the draft list is kind of boring. So much IPA. It's also not organized in a very helpful way. --The happy hour specials and ladies night specials are both great, but it's not very clear what's actually on special. --No food, but you can get delivery or takeout from somewhere else in CitySet (we walked across the parking lot and got pizza from Udi's), which is kind of cool. The beer menu is extensive enough that I would definitely make a return visit, especially at happy hour, but I'm not ready to put them in my top bars list just yet.
(3)Lindsey B.
Wow. Wish I could have visited here pre-baby. But even still, they were accommodating. Incredible selection of beers. The ipad index with infinite filters will help you chose a new favorite. They don't serve food, but you can bring your own or order from the many restaurants in the same complex.

Pricey and white!! Ah who am I kidding? this is Colorado. I meant the menu and the live band. I come here all the time. Why do I live so close to this bar?! Such bad luck. For a world of beer I'm always struggling to find a good German style beer. Hold the fruit, the hops, the pretense, I just want to get drunk without the aftertaste. Nope, I get a menu that's reads as long as a war memorial, and a bill that makes me want to drink more. Alas my beer inexplicably comes in a 10oz Belgian stemmed glass and my Amex takes a lashing. I came to Colorado loving the appreciation for beer this state has. But there's a darker side; the beer fetishists, that place a premium on rare adjuncts, limited releases, and experimental flavors that are touted as silver bullets to the malaise of PBR. ie, anything that funkwerks makes. The word saison makes me cringe and pucker. Oh, you disagree? Look at the menu again. Look at the number of styles. IPA, IPA, Belgian, Belgian, wheat...specialty cider. I throw down the menu with a scowl. So yes, people may like this little beer enclave nestled between the Udi's and Cuba Cuba and Hilton Garden inn, but know people, it's an illusion! Your beer isn't tastier because it's the national beer of a far off distant land, nor does the $13 special pick that accentuates your love of difference and ingenuity make you a sommelier of suds. It's the PF Changs of bars. But damn me if they don't still serve beer. Their paprika kettle corn is actually the right amount of salt and sweet. Good job WoB.
(3)Brian A.
I like to come over to wob after a good workout at the gym to get a nice cold beer. The selection is awesome (I am trying something new every time) but my favorite is the German wheat beers! They don't serve any food but you can always bring some outside food with you or order in from the restaurants next door. Cool place ...

Full disclosure: I live in Los Angeles, where virtually every place you could go hang out is either leaning towards hipster pretension or is a squeaky clean digital copy of another identical place a few towns down. Regardless of whither you're at the too-cool hole in the wall, or the chain spot, it's $10 beer night. As you can imagine, I loved visiting Denver and thought it to be an amazing city!! When I saw a place called World of Beer a few feet from my hotel, I was in! I keep thinking I need to find a beer that a like, and I finally did! I found a couple, actually. Again, full disclosure, I was in town for a weekend convention, so I wasn't at WOB during a sporting event. I can imagine it'd get pretty annoying to be anywhere with that many TVs during a football game... honestly, I don't even know when they play football so I can't advise you to avoid WOB during that time. Friday night? Saturday? Thanksgiving? Anyways, I was really impressed by the selection at World of Beer, as well as the friendly service. They don't have a kitchen here, but they do have a huge book of menus and a ton of places which will walk (or drive) some grub over to you.
(5)Joe D.
I love this place because of the variety of options you have. Plus it's in City Set with lots of great dining options that will deliver to you over here. My two experiences so far with the staff have been great. That being said, I'd expect that people here would be the equivalent of beer sommeliers and they're not. But that's just because the bar is unusually high for me. While it wasn't about me, a bartender making fun of another customer within ear-shot of me wasn't cool. Not everyone speaks the same language in the F&B business. This is an upscale experience. AKA it's not inexpensive. Most of the bottles beers are about the cost of a beer in a six pack, which isn't unusual, but isn't a good deal by any means. I'd say go big. A lot of the bombers are reasonably priced vs their retail cost. Last thought... I swear like a trucker. But I don't want to hear that from bar staff I don't know.
(3)Charlotte S.
The whole point of going to this place is to drink beer, so why do they keep hiring waitresses that don't A) know anything about beer and B) take your order. I'll admit they are usally very cute, and flirt pretty well with the gentlemen crowd, but COME ON - train them to actually wait tables! I've been here 3 times, and every single time it was as if the waitress didn't WANT to sell us beer. Two times the waitress claimed it wasn't happy hour (because they don't have it on Fridays) when the sign on their door says otherwise. All 3 times they've screwed up the check - charging one person's order to another, adding extra drinks, etc. Prepare to ask for your check a full 30 minutes in advance - and don't be suprised if you have to flag your waitress down and ask for it a couple more times.
(1)Brianna B.
This location is similar to most others WOB, which is a good thing. There's a 'loft' at the top of the bar where live musicians can play on the weekend. Which added so much to the atmosphere. The bar top is curved which is nice and the seats are super comfortable. Even though we had to wait 5 or so minutes to be greeted at the bar, the bartender was really knowledgable and gave me a few tasters to try based on my preferences. Ended up with a delicious IPA. Tons of beer to choose from. This location also serves food and has a nice outdoor seating area where pets are welcome.
(4)Joseph O.
Any place that has Pliny the Elder gets 5 stars automatically... Awesomeness. You can order food from close by locations and have one of what it seems to be more than 100+ different beers!
(5)Darika S.
Pretty busy on a friday night. Busy with "kids" from DU I think. The beers was listed by country. 100's and 100's of beers. The beers were good, but I think the feel of suburbia scared us. Go if you don't mind the atmosphere, but I'm passing on this one. Live guitarist was upstairs as well. The waitress was fantastic and the prices were fine.
(3)Richard R.
Seems cool enough for the Glendale crowd...but what does that say about them? It's an interesting location situated between two hotels and every other middle America food plaza. Parking is a nightmare but I believe there is underground parking in this lot. I just have no idea where it is. The inside is very spacious with lots of bar space. Immediately you see the huge selection of beer in the coolers when you walk in. Then the immense menu comes out and it takes some time to find the perfect match for you. I like that they have tap beer and bottles. Cider is also an option which is a star in and of itself. If and when I return I would like to try the food and maybe dive deep into some new beer. I found this to be the perfect place for a midday drink without a lot of pressure from a large crowd of people. I can see this place getting packed and annoying but it's great for day drinking. There is a patio - even though it's not connected to the entrance or even a back door. I felt like I was walking out into public with my drink to get there. But it's a nice space and you can do some solid people watching out there too. Overall, the best part of my experience was the awesomely eclectic music selection. From Ludacris to The Red Hot Chili Peppers I was sold on the mix. That made the visit so much more enjoyable than a normal sports bar with so many beers you can't focus on just one. I would go back for sure, but only if I were in the neighborhood and very, very parched.
(3)Anne C.
Stopped in for pre dinner drinks last weekend. I've been to another WOB and was underwhelmed with the food...Great news, this WOB doesn't even have food. People can roger from nearby restaurants and have it delivered. That reminds me of smaller tap rooms I've been to in Colorado...a pretty good idea if you ask me. We had a couple of drinks--their beer collection is stellar, atmosphere is chill and laid back. It was a good second impression of WOB for me.
(4)Alvaro F.
Been waiting at a table for 20 mins. No menu, no service, not even a "hello". You would think they would at least pretend to want my business here. I wouldn't be as annoyed if I didnt see the waitress flirting with a customer instead of helping us. EDIT: 25 mins seems to be the magic number. We got a server as we were deciding where else to go... First and LAST trip here.
(1)Brittany H.
After a few visits, I think it's safe to say World of Beer is a great destination for sampling a ridiculous amount of beers. Hundreds of bottles of beers from around the country and the world as well as a few dozen awesome beers on tap. Sure, WoB can give you a bit of the frat party vibe, especially during sporting events, but overall, I've had a great time each time I've poked my head in. The patio is a must during the summer! What's also cool about this location? There are so many great restaurants nearby that will deliver! When sampling a few new beers, a great sandwich or a pizza is necessary! While the service can be a bit hit or miss, I've still had a good time here. With all of the amazing beers from which to choose, it's really hard to go wrong!
(4)Kristy K.
I have been to World of Beer a couple times now. It is a cool concept but not sure it is my scene. On a Friday night, this place is packed. You have a mixed crew of people who are there for the beer, and the party-goers looking to rage. Unfortunately, the latter of the two seemed to have taken over the bar on this Friday night. I do like World of Beer. I think it has potential. The bartenders were able to give me some good recommendations and seemed to know their stuff (when they weren't too busy doing shots). Apparently, WOB offers cool events too. They do tap take-overs and other pretty rad stuff. This weekend they are doing a sour event, which I imagine would be neat. That being said, I am not sure World of Beer will make itself into my regular hangouts. I did go on a Friday night, so that may explain the rowdy crowd, but it reminded me of a douschey place that should be in LoDo. The bartenders were taking shots with girls and exchanging numbers, so service was a little lacking. There is nothing that annoys me more than waiting for a drink while I watch a bartender taking shots on the clock. I think it is pretty immature. I was hoping for better out of World of Beer. Maybe I need to venture over during week for a milder scene, or try an exclusive event where it will weed out the crowd I go out of my way to avoid. Overall, I give WOB 3 stars. While it has potential, I think I rather visit a brewery or brewpub in the area. I will likely try some of their events in the future and hope for a better experience. Note: they do not offer food! You can bring food in or have it delivered.
(3)Christina E.
I visited World of Beer a few times during their first week, and while they were still working out some bugs for sure, it wasn't anything unusual for a newly opened bar. The beer selection was great, though there's not a lot on draft that a real beer connoisseur hasn't probably seen before (this is Colorado after all! We know our brews, bro!) If you really want something unique, dive into their menu of bottled beers. Surely you can find something there in a style you'd love, no matter if you're a beer snob or beer newbie. There's something for everyone who likes beer, and for the rest of you, there's also wine. Prices at WOB are a little steep, but that often comes with the craft beer territory. I didn't feel the prices were out of line when compared to similar tap houses. If you're really pinching pennies, go during happy hour any weekday before 7pm and save $1 on drafts. There's no food on site, but you're welcome to bring your own or order in from one of many local places that deliver. I kinda like that, though it would be fun to have some food trucks now and again (hint hint, WOB!) I'll agree that the only real issue with this place is that it can be INCREDIBLY loud. Clearly someone has seen Spinal Tap, because these folks crank their speakers up to 11. It makes chatting with friends feel like a shouting match, which is really unfortunate. At the risk of sounding like an old lady, turn that music down a notch, wouldya?! Some of us want to chat with our friends, and make new ones! Overall, I love World of Beer and think it's a great add to the Glendale area. I cannot wait till the weather warms up and I can enjoy some great beers on that awesome patio. Save me a seat away from the speakers.
(4)Randy C.
Pros: Tons of beer selection. Great patio for big groups and hanging out with friends. Cons: Very slow service. The place wasn't even that busy and we had crappy service. The server passed our table several times knowing that we are there and still no acknowledgment. The waiter was also being unprofessional, we can see the waiter drinking with another group and having a great time. After 20 mins of waiting for any service we had enough. We had to go down stairs to the bar and order our beers directly then walk back to the patio. Once we were ready for the second round, we finally got an acknowledgment after 10+ mins of waiting with our empty glasses. Then I had ordered whatever the waiter first recommended, and he came back saying they were sold out. What the heck? So I ordered whatever his second recommendation he had mentioned and it to forever; 10 plus minutes or so. I was pretty disappointed with the waiter. This place have potential with all the beers they serve and become an icon to hang out at. Instead they have crappy and slow service. If they get their act together I might come back.
(2)Jonathan W.
Considering how many beers they have on tap, it's surprising I'm only giving it 3 stars. But, it's overpriced in a lame location and poor ambience. They do have a lot of beer though.
(3)Shane M.
This place is convenient, casual and the staff are laid back and friendly. Great atmosphere and fun people. Come on down and meet some new people!! Ask for brad, he is the best!! Super nice, personable and accommodating.
(5)Phung L.
Their beer selection is quite extensive and apparently they offer different beers on draft daily. Outdoor patio seems pretty chill. They don't serve food however you can order from the various restaurants surrounding them, although most if not all of the places were closed late at night. Bummer...Boisterous inebriated crowd, perpetual bottles and beer mugs shattering, along with the music blaring makes it difficult to converse. Beers are kind of pricy. But if you're a beer enthusiast wanting to try new and eclectic expensive beers, this is a place you have got to try. Staff is friendly and very knowledgable as well.
(3)Sharod D.
Absolute phenomenal experience! Such a great selection of beers with a staff that was so accommodating and kind. The reasonable price, great selection, and fun atmosphere definitely will have me returning to the bar very soon. The staff, especially waiter Bryce and bartender Morgan, were so awesome. I would highly recommend this spot!
(5)Valerie L.
Definitely downgrading my rating of this place. There is always a good beer selection. But for the love of God can you hire more than 5 people to take care of a room of 200? Getting attitude from your "server" because you waited 20 minutes for service and then just abandoned hope and went to the bar to get it yourself is not cool. There are far too many places in Denver with amazing beer selections and good service to waste your time on this one. Try Yard House, Cheeky Monk, Falling Rock, even Bar Louie will probably leave you more satisfied.
(2)George M.
Great spot love the staff very smart and so down to earth! The know there beers. It's really pretty good of a selection I stick to there draft good way to go!
(5)Angela A.
This area needed a hang out big time so I was happy about City Set and WOB. I am not impressed by WOB but I'll take it. What really was so unimpressive was the staff. We waited at a table and got no service so we eventually went to the bar. I was interested in trying a flight so I had questions about certain beers, the bar tender knew nothing about the brews or beer in general. I had heard from someone I know that she had the same experience but I was hoping it was just a fluke for her, but apparently not. If you are going to serve this much beer, you should have knowledgeable staff!! Come on! And I didn't like that my flight wasn't labeled in any way, so by the time I finished, I really wasn't sure what was what. I did like the selection of drafts. I can't imagine not having a draft. The bottle selection is basically the same as my local beer store. Nothing wildly impressive about that. But as I said, this area really needed somewhere to hang out. The patio is super nice and there are nice eateries around to grab something to go and enjoy at WOB. The patio is also dog friendly. There is a nice sitting area out front as well.

I thought that it would have been more exciting than it actually was. Perhaps I am becoming a beer snob as my husband has lovingly told me lately... Nothing here screamed out to me. There wasn't a beer that I was really excited to try, there weren't many local beers (I realize it's WORLD of beer but I think I had high hopes that this place was something that it's clearly not.) Service was fine, nothing special. I was bummed that there was no food available, we'd been hoping for some great bar food to go with our beers. I was also very puzzled by the number of Sam Adams beers that they had on tap. We tried a few flights and when I was asking questions about beers I didn't get much help. I asked if they had sour beers and was told oh yeah we have a few, I can just bring one to you. That could be helpful but I wanted to know which beers which she couldn't tell us. I realize that there are an overwhelming number of beers here but if you're going to work here I believe that you should have some knowledge! We live in Colorado where there are an absurd number of incredible places to go grab a beer. I think I'll stick with those from now on.

I came to World of Beer with a friend after I told him I was very disappointed with the beer selection I had seen around town lately. I was expecting a variety of beers on tap, but that was not the case. The tap selection is almost exclusively Doghead Fish IPAs, anything else you want you will probably have to get from a can or bottle. As someone who prefers beer from tap, it was slightly disappointing. However, the selection of bottles is diverse and they did have some of my favorites. The outdoor area is quite nice and spacious, with lots of seating, perfect for summer nights. Noticing that the service seemed a bit slow, I opted to open my tab at the bar and move in and out for my refills. The bar service was quick and the bartenders were outgoing and very nice. We stayed until close, and the staff was very friendly and jovial for such a busy night, they even played with us a little as they cleaned up the outdoor area. Overall, I give it three stars because it was a pleasant enough experience and I enjoyed the beers I had, but nothing about the place really stood out enough to make me become a regular.

Pretty polar reviews for this place, but I am a fan (as my four stars would indicate...). I visited on a whim (waiting around for The Dude) on a Friday and just happened upon their HH: $1 off drafts. And the draft menu was varying enough for me. There were many Tommyknockers on tap, which the server told me was because they recently did a Tap Take-Over with them. Tommyknocker Tap Take-Over. Hooray alliteration. Ahem. The place was pretty busy (understandably at around 5 on a Friday...), and my service was just fine. The guy was super attentive, checking in and offering tastes if I was curious about anything. And yeah, it was loud, but I feel like most places these days (in the casual-type genre, at least) tend to be loud. Do I like it? Not really but it comes with the territory, I feel. Every seen the YouTube video "Dog's Dream Comes True!"? No? Well you can watch it here: youtube.com/watch?v=hLYM… And after you're done, you'll understand how I felt looking at their beer fridges behind the bar. I mean REALLY. I like that they offer flights and unique "beer cocktails". I don't like that they don't offer food. But given the space they had to work with (it's a bit of an odd cut but that's not exactly their fault), it only means more room for beer when there is no food available. I'm wondering if food can be brought in, in which case the Target that's just a hop, skip, and a jump away might come in handy for my next visit. I never did get a bottle list (even though the server told me he'd bring one), but I didn't really need it since I wasn't doing any heavy drinking and the drafts I tried were just fine. I recognized enough in the coolers that will easily warrant a return trip. It may not be as cool a spot as some more Denver-central joints, but it's closer for me and the parking isn't as sh*tty so hey, I'll drink to that.
(4)Ignacio G.
Brad is the most knowledgeable human i have ever met about beer. Bree was very helpful with refills and was always there to help us. We will come back to this WOB just for the service of brad and bree.. best service and beer ive had!
(5)Becca R.
I probably would give this place four stars if it were not for the prices. This is a beer drinkers paradise for sure but it helps if you have some money to spare! They have beer from EVERYwhere so I understand the variation in prices, but it's on the expensive side nonetheless. I think it's pretty cool that you can order food from the places around you, and they do serve popcorn now. But it's kettlecorn style popcorn, which I kind of find weird to pair with beer. Anyway, it's definitely a great place to come and marvel at their beer list, but probably not a place you will spend your whole night if you're trying to drink on somewhat of a budget. The service can be somewhat flaky but most times the employees have been pretty nice.
(3)Tyler K.
WoB is the bee's knees. The workers here (especially an Irish/Scottish/English looking guy named Brad) know their beers like Harry Styles knows how to get girls moist. I'd come back here any day as long as I can keep getting that sweet tender service that I always get at WoB.

Stopped back into WOB recently on my way back home. A friend and I had dined out at an Asian eatery a few weeks before and we had some Asahis, discussed Kirin and briefly touched upon Sapporo. I used to love Sapporo 15-20 years ago and I couldn't remember what I loved about it (besides the ginormous 2-L handled plastic carry-along kegs they had). So I stopped in here and refreshed my memory -- it's not an outstanding beer but it's also not without its charms -- so undefinable via words for me I won't even try. CIty Set's certainly blossomed into some serious patronage the last 1-2 years and World of Beer makes a very nice "anchor" for the plaza. It's blocked from any view and most noise coming off S. Colorado Blvd. Gives a nice feeling of seclusion. There's a (in my opinion) wonderful spacious patio area which makes for great sun worshipping at the available times for that. The selection from the beer menus is extensive. Many of the restaurants within the City Set plaza will deliver meals to wherever you are at World of Beer -- that's upper-class catering IMHO. Parking's crowded in City Set but I *can't singly blame that on World of Beer*, like some other reviews seem to list as a factor. Yes, the beers are a little pricey here -- I suspect that's more due to the City Set location vs World of Beer's operating philosophy. I could wander over to the Lakewood location for verification or wait until the LoDo location opens up to verify that. And, that being said, yes, it's clearly a chain. So what? So the only thing I haven't brought up is my experience with the servers. It seems from what I'm eyeballing that most people have had less than stellar experiences with their servers, and that'd certainly plunge my review into the abyss if it had happened to me. I don't remember enough about my visit a year ago except that my server was attentive -- while she wasn't rushing around -- and I was handed off eventually and seamlessly to another server who took care of the rest of my beer orders that day. This most recent visit my server was attentive, made small talk with me about some beers, and understood why I was grabbing a Sapporo. I've never received a beer here with a ridiculous amount of head when I ordered drafts. Admittedly, 2 visits are not a lot of data points to draw from -- but until this place gives me a reason to drop a star, I'm sticking them with 4.
(4)Jackie C.
This place was so cool! The staff was very knowledgeable about styles, types and what a person would love. It was so much fun to try different beers. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.
(5)Megan A.
WOW! This place has gone down hill! The waitstaff run their asses off but it took them 15 minutes to get me a beer and 30 seconds to get me my bill. Management is non-existent. All we have to do is wait 8 weeks for the new district manager to take over and fix the problems. Beer is still cold though.
(2)Mike H.
love this place. so many beers to try. hard to find a beeri haven't had before. a really good place to find new beers.
(5)Allison F.
Our party of 4 came here Saturday night and managed to squeeze in at a table just inside the front doors. Seating isn't ample here, though appeared ok if you were fine standing at communal bar tables. There were also a few strollers (yes, strollers) taking up space. Riddle me that. The menu is massive and there's also a menu for daily offerings. I was in the mood for a cider and liked how I could scan through and easily pick them out. Otherwise I was going for my native Molson Canadian cause it was easy to find and ridiculous to have in a bar with so many imports. May as well have been President's Choice Black Label. Anyhoo, we were all able to pick out a winner and ended up enjoying our choices. The patio looks nice for warmer weather and I like how I can get the full Canadian experience by having Big Smoke deliver some poutine to me while I sip my MC. Negatives on the visit were the service and our experience sitting at the front door. Our server came over immediately to our table, which was very nice, though wanted to take our order right away. We were provided some sass when we weren't ready and then ignored for the rest of the visit. Good 'old Denver service. And sitting right at the front door, we got all of the cigarette smoke blown in at us thanks to the tools who decided to stand 2 feet from the door. While a bouncer sat behind us and did nothing. Maybe close the front door, or ask them to beat it. Just a thought.

Fantastic draft list. Friendly service. This is a great place to try out something unique. I had arrived a bit too early for an event in this shopping center, so I stopped in for a quick beverage. I sat at the bar, was greeted right away, and was introduced to the extensive beer menu. Intrigued, I ordered the Pumpkin Cider and it was delicious. Prices are slightly higher than other bars/restaurants, but the extra buck or so per beer would not deter me from dropping in again. The service here was really impressive. Not only were all the folks behind the bar friendly, they actually introduced themselves to me and shook my hand, like they wanted me to come back and see them again. I definitely will.

So, I was at World of Beers for a work related event last week. Over the weekend I noticed an authorization on my card for an unusual amount, then on Monday I had a charge from them for $825!! My actual tab was $11. When I brought it to their attention yesterday they had mistakenly charged my card, I was told I'd get a call from the manager within 15 minutes. So far, it's the next morning now and I haven't heard a peep from anyone at World of Beer. Absolutely terrible that someone won't even call me back to apologize one, and also the credit to my account still hasn't been given. This is pretty much criminal at this point.
(1)Cheyne M.
TON'S of Beer, and that's why it's okay by me. No food, which is kind of disappointing, yet they do have food delivery from a few local restaurants, which sounds like a good plan.
(3)Renee W.
Ok, seriously? People that love beer CLEARLY are going to have a field day when they come to World of Beer. I am not even kidding. 500+ beers alphabetized by state and country as well as an explanation of what Porter, Pale Ale, IPA, etc is. I also am now a card carrying member to take advantage of discounts, special tastings and promos. $15 will buy that and give you a T-shirt. The lime chili popcorn has some nice kick to it. I can't wait to go back and try some more.....
(5)Caitlin P.
This is a great new bar up in the City Gate area in Glendale. We sat out on their huge deck and enjoyed Happy Hour ($1 off taps) on a beautiful Friday evening. They have by far the largest beer list I have ever seen! They have about 6 wines you can choose from and I honestly don't know about cocktails. I didn't have a chance to see the inside but it I sure it is pretty big, they advertised a lot of live music nights which will be fun to check out. I feel like this place will be great once it can take off it's training wheels. Right now they do not have a full service kitchen but you can order food to be delivered there from one of the restaurants close by so that is kind of cool. I am excited to be back this was a great little find!
(3)Alex B.
I feel like a fuddy-duddy saying this, but why is this place so loud?! The beer list is good, but my friends and I had to shout the whole time we were there, and the bar was not packed. Also, there's no food. (It seems like that's something the website should indicate, rather than just leaving you wondering why there's no menu online.) Basically, I'm with the other reviewers - the beer list is good, but we're in Denver. There are plenty of places with good beer lists. If they have something special on tap, it might be worth the trip, but otherwise, I'll be headed elsewhere.
(2)AJ J.
I had a margarIPA and it was awesome!! Kinda expensive, but loved this place. Also had a "beer shot" which was great. Loved our bartender Griff! Will be back soon.
(5)Becca R.
Adore this place. Cannot wait to go back!
(5)Steph O.
The people were friendly, the beer selection huge, just a minor couple of issues with the women's restrooms that annoyed me. One stall won't lock because it was missing a lock and they didn't have a paper towel dispenser. There was no evidence it was ever there. How do you go without something so simple? The paper towel roll was just sitting on the bathroom counter for everyone to hold down one side with their wet hands while they desperately try to rip some off. That actually seems a little unsanitary as well. Other than that the selection can't be beat.
(4)Allison C.
HUGE beer selection, really really nice waitstaff, and they let you bring in food ordered from the neighbor restaurants (ordering and delivery is really easy; WOB even has the menus). The music was a bit loud, but it made nice atmosphere. I thought it was a great evening hangout with friends.
(4)Dan P.
The most amazing beer selection ever. I was in town for work and found this place. The staff is incredible and always willing to give perfect suggestions. Came here twice on my trip and tried 6 new brews, all top notch! If you are wanting to eat, don't worry... The majority of the restaurants in the area will deliver here for free, and they will give you all of their menus! If you like beer, don't miss this place!
(5)Craig V.
Great staff friendly and engaging always feel welcome. Fantastic beer selection if you are a ipa fan go for the Oskar Gubna you won't be disappointed. Lively crowd and great entertainment with trivia night to live bands
(4)Jesse G.
Took my Bfriend out for his birthday last weekend saw this place thought it would be nice change and boy was I right! The service was awesome and liked the enviroment live music. Our waitress was very helpful such a huge selection of beer! not only did she let us try different beers on tap but she also made sure it was one we liked before we actually ordered it. To top it off she gave me and my Bfriend 2 free shots that she made herself. I ordered a cider it was very tasty and it was an exciting place to be cause the world cup was going on and we won 2 free soccer ball bottle openers as well. Thanks for helping make my Bfriends Birthday special it was fun we will be back! its too bad they dont really serve food but their selection of beer cant be beat.
(4)Julia B.
Crazy beer selection, but expensive. They have flights on the back of the menu. What really blows my mind is my husband rushed to get there before seven and did, just barely. But the our waitress said that the corporate clock was set ahead 10 minutes and there was nothing she could do. It was only dollar off, but for a seven dollar beer, its a lot. The manager took care of us, though. So its all good.
(3)Katie D.
This place is pretty close to my apartment, and because it's dog friendly, I end up frequenting it a lot. Beer list is long and has variety, staff is helpful and knowledgable of what's on tap, and there are plenty of places nearby to order from- my go-to is Native Foods. My only complaint is the music is always up waaaay too high. In my opinion, this isn't a bar where you would see people dancing- it's full of tables and TV's, so conversation and sports are the top priorities. The patio is great because the music isn't as loud, so you can actually have a conversation without screaming. Besides that, this is a great place to try a variety of beers that are made locally, nationally, or internationally!
(4)Dave S.
Oh the "world of beer." The selection of draft and bottled beers was outstanding. Staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Ask them anything, they will pick the perfect beer for you. I suggest to anyone passing through to try the local flight. Rated a 4 out of 5. It doesn't hurt my feelings they do not serve food, but I wouldn't mind some bar peanuts.
(4)Jason S.
Sooo they've got some beer..... While they didn't have some of the Spanish beer I was seeking, I was able to find some German and Costa Rican brews I hadn't seen in a bit. They lean toward Colorado and Belgian beers as those take up most of the ink on their menu. Very friendly staff, however, sometimes they seem a bit overstaffed and they look bored. They don't (unfortunately) serve food but I believe they will allow you to order from surrounding businesses. N.B.: Allegedly, the City Set area will be allowing open containers within the City Set district once more of the other businesses open.
(4)John H.
I only had two beers here but I heard you can order food in from the surrounding restaurants which is cool (no kitchen). Great beer selection! I had something called a Busch light. It was very nice. Kidding, I had some fancy pants imports that got me buzzed up after two. I would tell you the name if I remembered.
(4)Jess G.
I gave this rating because , no doubt the wall to wall beer is soooooo impressive! I was taken by the selection! As I was checking out this beautiful display not even one "hi"........ there were nine people in the place so to not get the time of day is one thing but when the server won't come to your table and the kid behind the bar has to come and see what beers you want is a different story. Off set tramp stamp peace sign is all I know about the girl that danced around our table. After about an hour I had to go ask another guy if we could pay for our beers. ... that is the first time I left no tip in my life because I was so disgusted by tramp stamp girls behavior as a server. If I had cash on hand I would have given to the kid that took our order. Like the Elati's, the only place in that parking lot you can find good service in is CubaCuba! Overall I'm pretty bummed I waited so long to go to a place to get craped on by a server girl trying to pick up on some guy with money. Lesson learned. Don't go to places close to hotels as a female if you are looking for good service.
(3)Chanh S.
First, I would like to say that I did not try the food or beer...that was the problem. I showed up with my wife looking to check out the place as I love beer. There were like several entrances as this place is pretty large. We were trying to see if we needed to get seated but couldn't get help. So we saw a couple leave, so we took their seat and waited...and waited...and waited. Several waitresses made eye contact with us but no one helped us. Then the same waitresses would walk by again but would purposely not make eye contact. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes and just left. We were dressed nice and a pretty good looking couple ^_^ so it's not like they were trying to avoid us cuz we looked like deadbeats. Not really fair to judge them this harshly without trying the food or drinks but service is always important IMHO.
(1)Gracie L.
I really like this place! It's "World of Beer" not "World of brewpub" as most Denverites might expect in this city. They have 40+ beers on tap and 14 pages of bottled beer. We come to drink knowing we need to have a food option in mind (patxis pizza delivers here) and bring board games to hang out for a while. I have been twice and have tried so many different beers I would never get the chance to have normally. Service is ok, but the gals have been willing to bring tasters in order to ensure I like the beer I get. It is my new Sunday funday spot!
(4)RL N.
If beer is the name sake of your business. You should make it the best beer experience possible. Two inches of a foamy head below the rim of the glass is cheating the customer. Serving warm beer should be a crime. No snacks were offered. Hungry people brought in food from nearby restaurants.
(1)Natasha G.
Let me start off with the truth: I'm not a huge beer fan. So you're probably wondering why on earth I went to "World of Beer". Because it's fantastic. Brad was so helpful, attentive and just a fun person. Now I'm the fruity beer kind of gal, and Brad knew the exact questions to ask to make sure that every beer he brought matched perfectly with my limited beer scope. Him and his charming beard were just a pleasure to be around. And on top of that, they played "Baby got back" and obviously they knew exacrly what they were doing. No one can resist. Ten points to WoB!!!
(5)Kate G.
I was slightly underwhelmed by my visit. Yes, the beer list is extensive, though it heavily leaned toward Belgian beers (many, many pages in their menu), which are not my personal favorite, as well as plenty of beers from this state, which are not too hard to find around town. The vibe is just not my thing, nor is the location, nor is the crowd, nor is the decor. It feels very "chain" and while chains have their place and I do frequent them when the mood or need strikes, they're definitely not the first place that comes to mind to go to drink good beer. If I wanted to go to a chain and drink good beer, I'd rather go to Yard House where they have a lengthy beer list as well, plus good food. I originally sat at the bar and had multiple people acknowledge me but it took a while for someone to take my drink order and almost 10 minutes to be served my beer. I was happy to try a rare Rogue seasonal on a rotating tap, though I honestly thought the description in the menu of it was way off. It was described as smooth and malty and it was incredibly bitter and hoppy. When I moved to a table with a group, the waitress there made a big issue of my open tab at the bar, which I then had to close, and start a new tab with her at the table. For my two total beers. I really had no incentive to stay; it was not super enjoyable so we ventured elsewhere for the rest of our evening. If this place offered a beer or beers that you loved and couldn't drink anywhere else, or if you were just getting your feet wet and learning about the many varieties of beer out there and wanted to drink them all in the same place for convenience, I could see the appeal. It's just not a place I see myself as a regular.
(3)Rock W.
1 star for the patio 1 star for the beer list it stops there... Terribly loud music, mixed with dogs fighting and barking, then the Tuesday trivia started over the loud speaker that we could hear inside Cuba Cuba across the parking lot... this equals a cluster f___ experience. The waitress greeted us by complaining about being tired then proceeded to sit at our table and talk to us like we were there to serve her. We got our beers, said we would not be starting a tab so we would like to cash out right away. We get the check for $11 (2 beers) give her a $20... Never see her again. After waiting 30min for our change, I then track her down inside where she tells me "Oh I thought you said keep the change". GIVE ME A BREAK. She immediately pulls out the $9 owed though (happened to remember that). I've seen these tricks time and time again at poor establishments. No chance of getting my $ again.
(2)Laura B.
This place is fab. They invite our dog in every time. I don't think I need to elaborate on WOB... It's pretty straightforward... Lots of awesome beer.
(5)Jonathan B.
The best beer selection I've ever seen and a very knowledgable staff. They don't serve food, but you can order something to bring in (I think). Go there for the beer. Stay for more beer and try something you haven't had. I know they have a beer you haven't tried.
(5)Tim V.
Sure they have a good beer selection. But, this is Denver. Everyone and their mother has a good beer selection. Also the service is horrible. We went in on Friday around 530 pm. There were three of us with a fourth joining later on. Our server brought over menus right away. However, then he began to basically talk about how awesome WOB is and how he knows the guys that design their website(who cares) . I think he was trying to act like he was running the place. It was annoying in a D Bag kind of way. But whatever. He also took forever to bring our drinks and he only brought one at a time. Super lame. Then when he would stop by he would stand around talking about beer and answering questions nobody asked. We get it you like beer. So do a lot of people. I'm sorry but with so many breweries and bars in Denver and the surrounding areas I would pass. Oh also the fact that they don't offer food comes off as lazy and annoying. Coming here for a beer is like going outback for a steak. It's ok but nothing new.
(1)Eric B.
I am writing this review as a fan of beer. Awesome selection. Decent service. Decent pricing. No kitchen, but you can order food and have it delivered to WOB. I recommend Cuba Cuba. Also, they are open till 2 am every night and have happy hours. See you there.
(4)Meagan M.
World of beer is a good place for sure. No food but you can bring in food from outside. The staff is knowledgeable about beer, as they should be. I've had great service multiple times and I've had poor service once. The reason it's only 3 stars is purely how expensive it is. If the beers were all $1-$2 less expensive we would be here way more often. But we've gone in for 2 beers each for 2 people and walked out having spent $40 after tax/tip. Not something we are willing to do very often unfortunately. Otherwise though this place is pretty cool.
(3)Meghan H.
Absolutely, the beer selection is incredible, though I didn't see many things that I couldn't find at Argonaut or Mr. B's. But for the beer novice it's a great way to check out beers from -- you guessed it! -- around the world. Lots of good fonts too, including some solid sour offerings and a couple beers you just don't see on draft all that often, like three handles of Firestone Walker, Left Coast's Hop Juice and, on the day we were there, a firkin of Oskar Blues that was a blend of their Gubna, Dale's and Gordon (I mean G'Knight). Interesting that the dude behind the bar didn't want to bring the firkin to the front (it was "in the back") because he thought everyone would drink it too fast and there wouldn't be enough for the night customers (I surmised this). Facebook can help with that, of course. But there are still some kinks to be worked out here so maybe that's one of them. Another one? The price of their 4 oz tasters. Any brewery worth its hops on the front range will charge you $1, MAYBE $1.50. When we asked about the cost at World of Beer, we were given a vague answer that alluded to most of the tasters being $2 and other "specialty ones" at, maybe, $3. For a TASTER. This is not a happy hour pint. My comrade-in-beer and I had 5 tasters: Hop Juice, Stone's Cali-Belgique, the new collaboration/all women brew Ellegance (Belgian style pale), Firestone Walker's Robust Porter and the firkin. When the bill came it was $16.50. For what amounted to an imperial pint. That, friends, is pure madness. This is not Florida, where WOB started. Beer consumers here know their stuff. This particular consumer felt like she'd been had. So...if you want to check out the selection, great, but beware the $3.50 for four ounce bizness (forget $2, there wasn't ONE that we tried that was $2--maybe Fat Tire is? Shock Top?). The pint prices are decent, but even those can run you $7-8 a 10 oz pour. One can only hope the management stops this needless fleecing. Making money is one thing--relying on the ignorance of your customers is another altogether.
(2)Charlotte P.
This place pretty much rocks. If you love beer, this place is a veritable playground.
(4)Aleigha Y.
Love the selection and that they have neighboring restaurants deliver right to your seat. They had live music the night we were there. He was really good for a one man band. I am not sure if they switch out taps regularly but the bottle selection makes up for it.
(5)Khai T.
The beer selection is great but the service is god awful. Sometimes I'll stop by after work and half the bartenders are really nice the other half blatantly ignore you when it's clear you're looking for another drink. I work in the restaurant industry so I know when I'm being ignored. For the most part the guys who bartend are really nice so I put a 3 instead of a 2 but the chicks who work there are so goddam lazy that I resent any time my coworkers want to grab a drink there.
(3)Jeff I.
Cool atmosphere, younger crowd. More beer choices than you could possibly imagine. It'd takes years to try all of it. Prices are moderate, but not exactly cheap. It's becoming a new regular hangout of mine.
(4)Clare V.
This is a good place to meet a group of friends and have a few beers. It has a comfortable vibe, lots of TVs for game watching, a great beer selection & knowledgeable servers. The down-side is that they don't seem to keep much in stock or update their menus very often because they were out of 3 of the beers my group of 5 ordered. Our waitress was able to recommend some similar beers that were up to par for the most part, but it was disappointing to not be able to try our original selections. I do like that you can bring in food from neighboring restaurants, which will be great once there is actually a decent selection nearby. Currently, only Garbanzo and the two Hotel restaurants deliver food to WoB but I've heard that once Udi's and Cuba Cuba are open, they will as well. I will definitely return to try it out again.
(3)Dan H.
Lots of draft beer selections (including Stone Enjoy By IPA when I was there) and many, many bottles, but a very corporate feel. No food, but you can bring outside food in and they don't mind. Atmosphere was very loud. Service was so-so. Located in big parking lot with other restaurants and a hotel. Since I was staying at the hotel, the location couldn't be beat, but otherwise I'd never go there.
(2)J V.
Nothing to disappoint if you're there to drink good beer! Nicer than a sports bar, but has enough TV's for even the most causal sports enthusiast. Beers rotate..so you're favorite may be gone, but a true drinker will try something new. Best part, you can have food delivered to you. Good for biz travelers.
(5)John Q.
Really cool place with absolutely the best beers and the most amazing staffer named Katie. Wicked-strong and tasty beers are extremely good value here, and they all go down way too easy, so try to get fed before-hand, or make the move to order out for food while you're sitting there enjoying it all.

I started going to WOB shortly after it opened in the spring. The service was great and there was (and still is) an awesome beer selection (to be expected). Even the manager introduced himself on one occasion. As the summer progressed and more restaurants opened around WOB, the service really plummeted. It's unfortunate because I like the variety, but what it now comes down to is paying minimum $5.00 for a beer, with lousy service. Example: I was at WOB on Sunday, Sept. 8 with a friend, around 2:30pm. The place was not packed, a few tables and a number of bar flies. My friend arrived before me and ordered her drink. I sat and waited for a server to come by for over 10 minutes. Nothing. I finally ordered from the bartender for the both of us, pointing to my friend at our table, obviously she had already been waited on but no one had since showed up. The bartender was friendly and speedy. We then went out to the patio where there were three other parties sitting. No staff approached us. We did watch one server clear off the table near the comfy couches but not even a glance in the direction of the three tables in the one shady area of the patio. Finally we went back inside, inquired if there was service on the patio and were told yes (surprise! since no one checked on any of us). We asked for our ticket and left. Overall, this is no longer my go to spot to hang out after work. It's easy to get to, parking is awesome because of the free garage. I don't even mind the "Bring Your Own Food" idea. The service has gone downhill and the beer selection does not make up for that. On a more positive note, if you get Tiffany as a server, I give her 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, she's awesome.

This place is great! They have an INCREDIBLE selection of beer. What made me come back was the staff. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful, not to mention they knew their entire menu which means they actually know what they're talking about. I will be back for sure, and recommend this place to anyone looking for an alternative to the usual bar.

Beer, service, & atmosphere are all you have to go by with this place, and sadly the service dimmed the experience greatly. Seemed like some of the staff had little training in customer service and were there b/c they had a certain look over a skill with waiting on people, & overall acted arrogant. When my friends & I first arrived there were only a few patrons there, & one bartender pretty much acted like he couldn't be bothered by more than one thing at a time for the few patrons there. Like one of the other reviews, later in the visit, a few more bartenders came on, & I saw most of them standing around doing nothing when the place did have a bigger crowd. We did have one bartender, Heather who was awesome, not only being able to make beer recommendations, but in actually being genuinely friendly and nice. Sadly she was outnumbered by the others not like her. I like beer, but if I am going to spend money out, I don't want to be treated like I am some sub-par human being.

This place had positive and negatives, but I will give it a four because of their amazing selection as well as their love for Colorado craft beers. The first time I came here it was ladies night (it said ladies special all day on the menu) and we came for the specials. Our waitress had no idea about the specials that were going on all day. WEIRD but whatever. So we had a few brews... my favorite being the Boulder Kinda Blue (a blueberry wheat beer! YUM!), but then it came to food... BUM BUM BUM. There is none! How could such a wonderful thing come to such an end. Give me the drunk munchies and then disappoint why dontcha! Okay, okay, they do have some pretzels and popcorn in the back if you really need a snack... and a menu of places that will deliver to you. I guess I just need to be prepared next time. They have hundreds of micro brews on tap and in the bottle. Service industry night is on Mondays, Ladies night on Thursdays, and bands throughout the week. It is a pretty cool place in an up and coming location. And if you have a love for hops like I do, this is the place for you. Oh and did I mention that they will give you a sample of any beer if you aren;t sure if you will like it? By the time you leave here, you will be a brew master, a true alcoholic expert. CHEERS!

Apparently it is ok for the not-so-attractive servers to take many beer shots (and seriously, who takes beer shots unless it is natural light while in college playing powers hour?) through out the night and constantly flirt with the "regulars" who are married men. Terrible services where the servers don't know beer. Stick to your local breweries as this place is not worth the entertainment, lack of beer knowledge and service.

Great service, selection, and lively atmosphere. There are lots of screens making every seat virtually a good spot. They had live music Friday night so that was pretty cool. Expansive patio but should have a fireplace especially in Denver. Wish there were some food options. Snacked on popcorn but it would be a 5 star place if they had appetizers like chicken wings, spinach dip, nachos, edamame, Snyder's pretzel pieces, trail mix, nachos...we'll you get the picture. Just like wine, beer pairs well with food but that maybe just me. At least there are some great restaurant choices close by.

We walked in on Thursday, the 1st day of the NCAA basketball tourney, and were very impressed by the amount of TVs and number of beers. Unfortunately, not one of the TVs had any of the games on. The server and bartender looked at us like we were crazy when we asked them to turn to the games. If you like to watch fishing or poker during the biggest sporting event of the year, then you will love this place.

Pros and cons here. Pros: There is lots of seating, so good for groups. Nice draft and bottle-beer list, although they were missing some of my recent favs like Russian River Damnation Golden Ale (available at Cheeky Monk) and Dry Dock Vanilla Porter (available at ..well, Dry Dock). Good, lively atmosphere. If you sit at the bar, you get lots of free tastes. Great overall service. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Good, fun crowd. Cons: Super, super, super loud music. We were there for happy hour on a Wednesday and my entire group was shouting and complaining about the volume of the music. - Absolutely zero food. No beer pretzels, peanuts, popcorn... nothing. Like.. really? You can't even buy a bag of chips there. Really? Overall, A-ok on this place. I had fun and I'll go back, but Bull and Bush isn't that far away... so ya know...

We love love World of Beer :) Pros: bar staff is super friendly and you can get lots of free tastes of any beer on draft. Also, they have so many options that you can't not find something you love. Next, although the prices are a little high for you Coors and PBR drinkers, they offer some kind of discount every week night from ladies night to sin night to student night to loyalty member discounts. Also, a few reviews say its loud and they don't have food. Addressing the loudness, it's only Thurs, Fri, Sat that they have a live band. It's loud but lively. As far as food, you can bring your own and the local restaurants will deliver right to your barstool. WOB also offers snacky pretzels and white cheddar popcorn on the house. YUM :) We will keep coming because the bar tenders remember our names and we love the atmosphere :) Cons: it's not summer yet and we can't enjoy the patio!!!!

Most wonderful place ever! They have a patio that is super dog friendly and they allow you to bring your own food. Best beer selection in Denver, by far!

I don't get what could be so great about this place. Terrible service, overpriced beers, meh location, seems like they will hire anyone who gives the illusion that they want to work... And they had to shut down their grand opening party early because they didn't have a sign. You're better off going to a locally owned bar or brewery. Don't waste your time on this chain.

this place kicks a*#...! too many beers to choose from, beautiful people all over the place offering amazing service. the music is always too loud, but that's literally my only complaint. come good weather, the patio will be awesome, and although it's tricky to find, it's worth it!! 100%

Great beer selection. Happy hour 2 to 7 pm. No food onsite so bring your own or order from a local take out. Tons of flat screen TVs.Nice clean looking establishment. If ya love sports and craft beers from around the globe. This is the place to hang.

World of beer does a really good job of doing what they advertise. They have 60 beers on tap and 500 different beers in bottles. When I went, I did not have any problem with the sound level. While they do not make their own food, they do have a book of menu's from nearby restaurants that deliver. I like the interior decor. Lot's of brick work, refrigerators with beer on display, and a nice bar area. Now that the weather is warming up, I hope to enjoy a beer on their nice patio. They also have live bands at night on Thur - Sat or Sun. That is something that has been missing in this part of town. While Imports and Micro's are not cheap, they do offer various discounts- Ladies night, members night, student and teachers night, and Industry night.

Great beer choices and close to the office, what's not to like? Sure, they don't serve food but they allow you to bring your own, so with all of the neighboring restaurants right there, you shouldn't have a problem. Plenty of TVs on the wall and they have a serious beer list that should cater to all taste buds.

The patio up top is an absolutely wonderful place to spend an evening drinking some beers you rarely find on tap. It is a five star experience if you are on the patio. However, if you are inside you will be accosted by a band that is blaring music way too loud and it is a three star place. The beer list is impressive, and many of the pints are $5, which I think is fair. All in all it was a little better than what I expected from the reviews I had read here.

Great concept, great selection of beers but severely lacking in ambiance, snacks and service. Lots of potential if they would add some of the lacking features and turning on the heat (literally).

beer is great and the menu is as well. but WHY is the service so bad?! we sat outside for at least 20 minutes, no one came, so we moved inside and ordered from the bar. we finally found a table, and then the waitress came by 10 minutes later and was annoyed that we had ordered at the bar.
