decent wine. okay decor. comfy seating. repeated horrific service - be ready to have to wave down a waiter....and then wait and wait and wait...and repeat...and then get an inaccurate bill in the end...unreal. overpriced for no service - self-service would be significantly faster and better for everyone involved. saw one couple up and leave (without paying) and waiter chased them down (who knew the waiter actually had a speed besides slow and stop) - perhaps bring them their check before their next b'day and they might not just give up and leave. very disappointed.

ALERT, ALERT, ALERT....they have wine tasting dispensers and delicious cheese plates. It's the closest thing to wine tasting in Denver. Please go immediately. (You're welcome)

Great new place for me in Cherry Creek. I should/would give it five stars but I always want to save that last star. Five star place definitely ! Great place for that quite night out or for me a comfy bar area. By your card and taste the World of wine. I have owned a wine distribution company so I do know something of what I am writing - the wine selection here is superb. This is place where you walk in and if your a foodie/wine person(I am) you wished you owned the place. I had a variety of tasty wines in all price ranges. They have conveniently organized their kiosk in various areas based on price. You can purchase a quarter cup to a full glass. Outstanding . My friend and I shared the short ribs. Yum ! And with a suggested pairing of a spicy Chilean wine. Yum ! Yum ! Great place- you will not regret your visit. In fact you may become a new regular like me - see you there ! ( Oh ! Did I mention the great looking and professional staff. Sorry, Five Star group )

I was expecting more when I chose to come here with a friend tonight. We both liked the decor of the place--it was very cute and girly, but not obnoxious. The waiter was nice, but there was a point that he was describing something and neither of us got a word he said, not because he had accent but because he was talking very quietly and not enunciating. I ordered lobster mac and cheese, which I thought sounded so good. I was disappointed. The amount you're given is pathetic for the $13 price tag and considering the lobster was overcooked and tough/rubbery. Overall, I wasn't impressed and I was sad because I was hoping it would be good since my mom lives very close and we love wine. I would probably go back for the wine bar part, but not order any food.
(3)John L.
We enjoyed a bottle of Super Tuscan, some yummy apps and a great atmosphere with exceptional service.
(5)Bre P.
Excellent selection of wine, food was delicious, and great customer service. Our favorite appetizer was the Tuna Ceviche. We will definitely be back!
(5)Dean G.
I love this place! Small & dark, but comfortable. Good eats and lots of wines to choose from. Such a great idea! I wish we had more in town! I've never needed a reservation, but have always made one just in case. I'd advise the same. It would suck to find parking in Cherry Creek, walk in and it's too busy and be forced to go somewhere else on the fly. They're in OpenTable, so create a reservation and get some points! Nostrovia!
(4)R F.
Great place, especially for a date night. We enjoyed everything we had. Great service and great flavor. Short ribs and macaroni are great. Caprese salad might be the best I ever had. The chef even came out to make sure we had everything the way we wanted. We will be back!!!
(5)Rose Y.
Wonderful selection of wine! However, service wasn't too great. My friend and I were seated, but nobody came to our table for fifteen minutes. Apparently, we were forgotten. But, we told a waiter standing nearby and someone came right away. She apologized, and service was great from there. This was my third time at vinue, and it's been the only time service wasn't great. But overall, it's a worthy add to Friday night adventures.

I hadn't found the wine culture in Denver to be booming quite yet, as my buddies and I hadn't yet experienced an amazing wine selection at any eatery or wine bar. The options here at Vinue aren't too stellar, but the self-serve concept is pretty unique to the city. The architecture of the establishment is attractive, much like the trendy feel of the place as a whole. For a change up and larger emphasis on tasting wine, you would do well to come here. I had a good time with a buddy of mine, as we wanted a breather from all of the microbrews in the beer-laden culture of Denver.

This was another place that had been on the list of places to try...productive weekend! Anyway, we stopped in after dinner at Second Home because evidently, we needed more wine...surprise, surprise! I can't speak to the food since we just came from dinner, so this is all about the drinks. For starters, I was thankful we'd been there with others who had been here before because I had someone to show me the ropes on how the whole on tap thing works. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it (see pros vs. cons below), but I guess what I liked the most was that there were an abundance of wines and they had the varietal I was looking for. With regards to the "on tap" experience - here's how I feel: Pros - you get to walk around, be social, and pay for small tastes before buying a whole glass. There are tasting notes in front of the bottles, and they have ample whites, reds, and premium wines available. Cons - isn't this what servers are supposed to do? I can't say that I asked the server for recommendations, but I have the sneaking suspicion they wouldn't have much to say as it's a very "go do it yourself" type of atmosphere. I'm still torn, but I think it's a place I'll come back to. Mostly because I love vino and they have a bunch of it.

Great happy hour. Great selection of wines. and great space. Despite being in the dreaded Cherry Creek (I hate the traffic, I hate the parking, etc), I've not had a difficult time finding parking around this cute place. It's also very conveniently located upstairs from Machete, so you can go from a marg to a nice glass of wine. They do kind of close down early-ish. Not sure if that's just my perception b/c I'm such a night owl or what, but there've been a couple times where my friends and I have shut down the place. Still, whether you're a wine connoisseur or a newbie, you'll find something to your palate here!

Atmosphere: mehh. a little to modern for me. Food: so delicious! my boyfriend and I shared the braised short ribs, mac and cheese, and prosciutto and tomato flatbread. everything was super tasty. Drinks: woohoo! I was a little nervous when the waitress described the "wine card" and roam-around-and-taste method, however she let us know that we could also have a traditional restaurant experience - awesome. I had a sweet white wine and my boyfriend opted for an old-fashioned. he claims the old-fashioned was the best he's ever had at a restaurant (in other words, strong) and my wine was exactly what I was looking for. the waitress was also very generous with her servings. Service: awesome! everyone was super friendly and accommodating. the hesitation I had with the atmosphere quickly evaporated when the waitress welcomed us and immediately made us laugh. great time! will definitely be back!
(5)Abby G.
We had a Junior League event here this week and it was a great venue. They had a few tables/couches put together for us. The lobster mac & cheese was delicious and the perfect small portion. The wine selection is great. We didn't use the high tech system to sample a wide variety of wines, but will be back to do so. It was a nice atmosphere, not too noisy and the staff was extremely friendly. Look forward to going back and trying more wines!
(4)Trina G.
Imagine my rating at a 3.5. I am going to go with a 4 because they gave my mom a free glass of wine for her birthday. My younger brother and I took my mother here for happy hour for her birthday. We sat outside until it started to pour and the waitress waved us in. We told her the shower would be over in two minutes but she still waved us in. The rain was over in minutes and there are umbrella so it wasn't a huge issue. We picked this place for the patio and good happy hour prices. The patio is small yet lovely. The inside is weird. Bad decor, but I can get over that easily. The happy hour prices are great! The happy hour food portions are small but still yummy. It is my mom's biggest pet peeve when a server doesn't ask you if you want another drink before happy hour ends. Our server did not do this. All in all, good happy hour and would return if I can sit on the patio.
(4)Isaac B.
The food here is amazing! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Everything we ate was spot on and the chef makes the cheese cake in house and it is to die for! Definitely need to try this place If you enjoy good wine/food!
(5)Lauren J.
This place is great. The food is great and obviously they have a lot of good wines to drink, though I've never done the sampling route. This place has the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Everything else I've had has been completely delicious too. I also love that I got Veuve by the glass.
(4)Christina K.
This is a great little spot for a girls night out. The food is a little pricey, but the wine selection is awesome. I love that you can choose a taste, a half glass, or full glass of wine. Service is not exceptional, but I suppose you're left to get your wine yourself, so they leave you to that unless there's something else you need.
(4)Ann Marie K.
Just stopped in and will be back- what a gem! Tasting plates that are innovative, fun, and delicious --try the flatbread and the drinks were great cosmo and lemon drop! Looking forward to trying the great wines that they serve. The owner, chef and waiter were fantastic and so friendly!!!!!
(5)Libby C.
The wine and food were great! Our waitress was sweet and very friendly. A dark, calm and romantic place, but I went with a friend and it was great for girl time too.
(4)Jon W.
I loved everything about this place! The service was impeccable, amazing wine options with very well educated staff! The food was delicious, it's a quaint atmosphere and a perfect place to have a date. We loved it
(5)Krystal W.
I have been here a few times, I love the wine selection! Their happy hour is great, therefor I haven't tried the cool wine card system. The service is so-so depending on how busy the place is. Our server was very helpful and remembered all of our names, etc. but then when the bar filled up we had to search for her to get our tab and ask for it. Then we waited another 20 minutes before asking another server for it. In her defense she was moving upstairs to help a private party. I would recommend, however expect a wait for your wine and food if it is crowded.
(4)Lauren G.
This place is a happy hour gem in the Cherry Creek area! Lots of of half priced glasses of wine and small plates to share... perfect. It's not necessarily somewhere I'd go for a full meal since the menu is mostly geared towards small plates and a little limited, but still a fun place to try a few new wines.
(4)Alexis G.
Vinue has posh decor and a swanky atmosphere, but their service and food is a little lacking. It might be a good place to grab some drinks with the girls, especially if you reserve the sleek sofa sitting areas. But, be prepared to wait for service. We were there for a casual happy hour. We ordered wine by the glass from the menu, instead of the EnoMatic machines and had a couple of the sampler platters. The service was exceptionally slow. We watched the servers walk by about 10 times before they took our order or checked on us for a second round. When our sampler platters arrived, the server didn't explain the dishes, so we weren't sure what we were eating. The samplers were small and left us feeling unsatisfied. Overall, we didn't feel like we were a priority and the food was average.
(3)indigo s.
We had a fabulous experience! Everything we ordered for our table was delicious. We had both the cheese plate and the charcuterie, which I usually find have one or two duds, but each item was excellent. I also recommend the tuna tartar and the shrimp ceviche. For dessert, the funnel cake sticks were quite yummy. They have an amazing selection of wine, as well as a high tech system for being able to sample a wide variety, if that's what you're there for. Our waiter was accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. For a Saturday night, they weren't very crowded. I can't imagine why. But it works in your favor if you want a posh Cherry Creek restaurant without the crowd!
(5)Michael R.
First impression on walking in, the space is really weird. What are the blacked out windows/frames near the ceiling? Why do you have red velvet cushions? It's like some sort of old vegas night club. The wine dispenser thing-a-ma-jigs are cool though. Service was extremely slow (because our poor waitress was over-worked, not enough staff). The tapas plate left a lot to be desired - it's more of a sad bruschetta with 5 different toppings. I wouldn't really call it a tapa. The tuna was weird too... it says "crispy potatoes" but you should replace that in your head with "crunched up Lays potato chips" and see if it still sounds good. Overall disappointing and far too many drunk women (the stars only reflect the restaurant, not the drunks... although they kind of ruin things).
(2)Carolyn M.
What a great wine bar! I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. Cherry Creek is not usually my bar/restaurant scene of choice, however, I met several girlfriends here for the Sunday night happy hour and I was very pleasantly surprised! Not only were the drinks cheap and delicious, the happy hour food was excellent as well! The place was rather empty (we were one of maybe 3-4 occupied tables) and the service was great. There is a private area upstairs that would be great for a small party - think bachelorette party or bridal/baby shower!
(4)Maria M.
I came here for a first date. The gentleman picked the location as I am new to the area. The place was pretty cozy. I dressed up a bit for the obvious reason. There is no garage so you need to find street parking. I enjoy wine so this was a pretty cool little location. They had party music which I was not expecting for the atmosphere. Either way, I was enjoying getting to know my date. The high top table was a little small and uncomfortable. Also, there was a group of kids there who were screeching and running around. So that was a little annoying. We enjoyed the tuna tatar and the cheese plate. Honestly, the tuna tatar was pretty good and the cheese plate wasn't too bad but I think it lacked presentation. I enjoyed a glass of cabernet while my date had some whisky. All in all it was a cute little spot for a first date. I would try it again as long as there were no kids there and I could have a booth instead.
(4)Chelsea O.
I love this concept! It's like Dave & Busters with wine. Amazing! I fly through the money on my card though - it's too easy. I discovered my absolute favorite Chardonnay here - Rombauer.
(5)Emily M.
Different place - wine dispensers is the main reason why people go. You put a certain amount of money on cards that you take around to different wine dispensers around the room. You can get a taster, half glass, or full glass; price varies based on wine. It's a little pricey, a little dark, a little trying-to-be-upscale-European, but it's also pretty fun to be able to try to the different wines. Wait staff knowledgeable and helpful, even though you can serve yourself (you can still order off the menu if you'd prefer). Didn't have any food.

Vinue Food and Wine Bar is a great place to take a date or a casual wine lover (wino?). The Vinue venue has a trendy feel with some energy, but is quiet enough to whisper sweet nothings to the one you are with. I heard about the electronic wine dispensers, which are cool - but was surprised to see the place had a full bar with a nice cocktail menu. The dispensers have a full selection of wines of all kinds - but the Inniskillin wines were out of my range even for tasting. That is one thing to keep in mind - the smart card and electronic dispenser system is a convenient way to taste a variety of wines, but I wouldn't describe the system as economical. If you want to get SERIOUS about some wine bibbing, you will have to reload the card at least once. That being said, the food is yummy. Short ribs, meatballs, are good - the beef flatbread was good if a bit overcooked. Three small plates was plenty of food for two. For a dispenser style drink service - the service was very good, even with water refills. Our waitress was attentive, without being obtrusive. There was 80's movies playing the night we were there - I think my date was annoyed my eyes occasionally drifted upwards to watch "Caddyshack." How you react to that comment says more about you than me.

My love and I went here for our weekly date night. I think it was a good idea to treat myself to some yummy wine and tapas after working on a Saturday. Their menus are have a unique touch. When I opened up the lovely wine list, it was so bright I thought I was looking at an ipad. Really though, they just lit up the menu with a bright light so that it was readable. Nice touch! The bf actually tried to swipe the "screen" and we discovered it was just paper. hah! Now for the wine. I tend to like French reds, and looking over the menu, I noticed that they actually had some French's (though not as plentiful as the CA wines of course). We opted to have a French pino noir and it was absolutely positively delicious. A cool thing I'd like to try one day is do their tasting. you can pay to get a card and try a bunch of different wines. I looked at the tasting table and many looked pretty pricey, however. The food- we ordered lobster bisque, short ribs, and tuna tartar. The lobster bisque was so awesome. Nice touch with the goat cheese on top- really helped amplify the lobster-y flavor. I wish the piece of bread served with it was a little bigger. Could have used it for more dipping! The short ribs were also well done- tender, moist, and flooded with velvety red wine flavor- and with our pinot? perfection. The tuna tartar was served with crispy pita chips that I think had a little bit of a kick to them. A nice accompaniment to the tuna. A great mouthful of textures and balance of flavors. The only reason I do not give this place 4 stars (and it easily could have been considering the food was great) is the service. We had 2 servers (one was training) and service was not great considering we had 2 people waiting on us. Even the one who was the trainer didn't do that great of a job. We had asked for a bread basket, and they took a while to bring it to us. Had to ask twice. When it finally was brought over, it was just dry bread and no butter or olive oil or anything. Who wants to eat dry bread? Eh. And, apparently the kitchen was "down" for whatever reason and it took a while to get our food. We had pretty much finished our entire bottle of wine by the time one of our tapas was brought out.

This is my favorite place in all of Denver! Such a fun and delicious experience! GREAT date spot
(5)Jimmy N.
A very unique wine bar, offering wine dispense from EnoMatic machines. It's like Dave and Busters, for wine lovers. Awesome wine flight, short ribs, Mar balls, and Mac. The owner has been there every time I visited and she's extremely friendly/knowledgeable about wine. It shows in quality, when the owner is involved with the business. Keep up the great idea and great service. Cheers.
(5)David H.
Don't waste your time. Food was tasteless and boring. Service was terrible. Other than that is was great.
(2)Jackie R.
When I moved here I began looking for a bar that had a similar concept to one of my favorite bars in LA - preloaded cards that you can use at machines that dispense wine! Behold - Vinue! I like the space, it's funky, chic, cool. The menus light up, which I'd never seen before and it was a fun surprise. However, I was a bit off put by the crowdedness of the furniture. I felt the flow made it difficult to get to the machines easily and it was hard for servers to serve. Speaking of which, we had the Tuna Tartar - Ahi Tuna over avocado and crispy potaotes, served with wonton strips and wasabi mayo. Spicy, but delicious. I felt the pour prices were a bit expensive. My basis of comparison is another bar in Los Angeles where I could get 1.5 oz. pours for anywhere from $1.50 to $10. Here however, most 1.5 oz. pours were around $4, which I felt was overpriced. If the prices were lower, I could see myself frequenting here.
(3)Trish M.
I absolutely had a lovely time here. The staff was so informative about the wine and the history of it all. The décor is simple and elegant. They now offer painting while sipping! I always enjoy a good Painting and Sipping session. The food is so delicious, I will be back again soon with my girl friends!
(5)Mitch G.
Visited Vinue for date night. My overall impression was that wine selections and dispensers were fun and interesting, but the food left a little to be desired. Food: We had the ceviche, pear and Brie flatbread, and braised short rib. All three were solid, but unremarkable. Wine: The wine selection was extensive, and it was fun to explore all of the options. We found several great wines; the highlight of our visit. Service: Our waiter was excellent, knowledgable, and reasonably attentive. Vinue's atmosphere, wine, and service are excellent. The food was just okay and the overall experience was enjoyable, but only worthy of 3 stars. Undoubtably, Vinue is perfect for a casual wine night with maybe a couple small plates before or after dinner.
(3)Christine K.
Enjoy this place, the concept, the food, and the staff. Great ambiance for post work wind down.
(4)Caitlin O.
Love this place! Had my 25th birthday here with all my girlfriends. We got many of the items on the menu. All tapas style. The mac n cheese is hands down the BEST I have ever had. Hot dang! Came back again with my parents and they just loved it. They had a blast sampling all of the different wines. Spoke with the owner both times and she was so friendly and very knowledgeable on her wine!
(5)Tom G.
Amazing food and service. I added tip but it had already been added. Not many places would inform you of this but these guys did! Thanks Marco for great wine and dinner.
(5)Caitlin B.
I love that they have gluten-free options available, I ordered the cheese plate and the portions were skimpy, and does not compare to Cru downtown. And when they say it comes with fig jam they are literally referencing one dollop they put on one piece of cheese. It was pretty awesome that they were projecting Christmas Vacation on the wall.
(3)Tyler S.
We went to Vinue last night for an event hosted by our gym Pura Vida. I had never been and have been wanting to check it out for a while, so it was a great opportunity. Vinue reminds me of the Living Room (the other wine vending machine lounge off of Broadway), except more trendy and more Cherry Creek North-esque. I was surprised by the selection of wine they had in their machines. The selection ranged from traditional whites to champagne and prosecco to reds to port. They even had a high end wine station with Silver Oak and Opus One! I like the concept as you are able to sample a variety of wines before pulling the trigger for a full glass. The prices ranged immensely for the different wines based on their price point. The prices also ranged from the size of the pour: 1oz, 3oz, or a full glass. While Pura Vida did have some food set up for us, I was so full from our previous engagement that I just stuck with the liquid dessert which was pretty tasty.
(3)Erica A.
Came here with my boyfriend on NYE and had a wonderful experience. Obviously, it can get quite pricey since it is a wine bar but for a special occasion, it was perfect. We shared a few tapas and the highlights were the bacon and pear salad, tuna tartar and the funnel cake sticks. We tried a bunch of the wines and they give you options of half or full which is nice for those more expensive wines. I will be going back here.
(4)Michelle A.
A wine bar in what was a decorator store in it's past life. There was a great crystal rectangular light fixture in there once upon a time. It is still has a great decorator feel inside. Sections of different wine bottles that you can pour different ounce sizes from with varying prices. I saw some very expensive wines to not so pricy wines. Must try this place for the wines even though they have a bar with cocktails. However the night I was there I had different Margaritas made with a Tequilla I have never heard of but would like to try straight. I was invited to a private party given by Mexico. It was a certainly different than most of these shindigs I go to and it was fun. The guacamole and ceviche tostadas were good. Not many places to sit but managed to find a couch at the end of the affair. Nice and cozy. Gotta love Cherry Creek.
(3)Abby S.
Was great! It is a great place for a date or small group setting. I took my parents here to meet my boyfriend for the first time. It's not a rowdy crowd type of place. It's welcoming to people who don't necessarily know a lot about wine - you can do 1.5 oz tasters, half glasses, or full glasses. It can get pricey but the experience is worth it. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lots of wine options. Did not see any beer, but they have a full liquor bar for the non-Vinos.
(4)Jeanne D.
Trendy wine bar in a Cherry Creek. I liked the card concept, but felt the wine selection could've been a little more exotic especially considering the location and vibe of this wine bar. I like to try new wines when I go out, but didn't see much that excited me. It was a fun place to hang out on a slow weekend afternoon. I didn't try the food.
(4)Tiffany N.
So I had an out-of-town visitor and when I asked her what she'd like to eat for dinner the answer was "something with short ribs." We were going with a third friend to eat/have drinks and this friend is a serious wine lover. When you search these two phrases on Yelp Vinue Food and Wine Bar is in the middle of the Venn Diagram and so this is where we ended up. First of all as a wine bar I love this idea. They preload a card with purchasing power for you. You then go around to each of the machines and choose which wine you'd like as well as the size of the pour (1.5 oz, 3 oz, or a full glass.) They offer everything from bubblies to whites, roses, and reds and they run the price gamut as well. The food is small plates style, but I enjoyed all of what we ordered. And we ordered a lot to share including: - Braised Short Ribs served with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted squash & cabernet pan jus (This was 3 smaller medallions of short ribs on tiny islands of mashed potatoes with a few small spears of squash. The flavors were good and we all enjoyed it.) - Tuna Tartar - diced Ahi Tuna tossed in a soy glaze over crushed avocado and crispy potaotes, served with wonton strips and wasabi mayo (This was my favorite off all the food. The spiciness was right on and the tuna was fresh-tasting.) - Their "Tapas Platter" which includes: blue lump crab salad, seared center cut beef tenderloin with a demi-glace aioli, roasted wild mushrooms with a cotes du Rhône gastrique, chorizo picante frittata, Prosciutto di Parma and aged Manchego all served on top of our house baked crostinis (You are served one long-ish crostinin with each of these types of toppings on it which equals 5 crostinis. They were all good, but the chorizo frittata was my favorite.) - A Cheese and Charcuterie Platter that included Salami, Prosciutto, Spanish Lomo, Spanish chorizo, Manchego, Peppered Goat cheese, Aged Cheddar, Age Gruyere (While the selection of cheese wasn't super exciting it was good and the serving size was respectable. The bread that came with this was the best part though as it came out warm as if it had just come out of the oven.) The vibe here is Cherry Creek sexy if you know what I mean. It's a bit of an older, more low-key crowd. And I enjoyed it. Also noteworthy - the menus light up so you'll have no trouble reading what they've got in the mood-setting lighting.

My server was okay. I was the only person on the patio and eventually seemed to get forgotten. Like for twenty minutes when check ready. Which is bad. But still I don't get flustered too easily. Lower review was simply due to that nothing was that good. Very very average. And at a wine bar if I order four tapas plates on a corporate card (see: no worry of cost) I should remember at least one. I don't. Sad because location is cool.
(3)Kristen H.
I am upping my rating of Vinue because the last visit I had was great. I only dinged it before on the service and last time, the service was outstanding. A new server was super helpful and we had a lovely time.
(4)Kelly H.
Vinue is the perfect place for an impromptu date night or GNO. The wine bar is unique, providing many options for any wine lover. Enjoyed the tastings option to determine what I liked best... Food was a 5/5 too! Would highly recommend their flat bread and braised short ribs. Will definitely be back! Although it says there is no outdoor seating, there is a small, but romantic patio.

Of all the wine-bars in Denver, this one is the one I keep coming back to the most lately. The ambiance is sleek, hip, and warm/cozy. The layout lends itself to a variety of occasions, whether you are having drinks with a client, meeting for a date, or having a larger gathering with friends for happy hour or an after hours nightcap. I like the interactive aspect of it - you can either order traditionally from the wine menu, OR, this is the fun part - take a preloaded card to their wine dispensers and select just a taste, half-glass, or full-glass of any of their wines, champagnes, ports, etc. I prefer the champagne counter - sometimes a night calls for a little Veuve Clicquot, but you don't have to blow the bank for a little indulgence! It's like choose your own adventure for your wine flight. Their tapas-type menu that really runs the gamut - from short ribs to fritatta, basic to fancy. I've tried the chartcuterie plate, which is just standard, nothing special. I don't like when it feels like the counted exactly how many olives or almonds they put on the plate. I prefer when they load the plate with the goodies to accompany the meat and cheese. The kettle chips are tasty and conveniently are doused in blue cheese sauciness. Their sweet to savory styled flatbreads are yummy as well and come in a gluten-free option , if needed. If you're not a wino, they have a full bar and extensive drink menu. Try the Mexican Firing Squad! Their service is always attentive and friendly and being in the heart of Cherry Creek North, it's a good launch pad for an evening out and about.

Loved the concept of this place. I have never been anywhere similar. When you sit down there is the option of ordering off the menu or you can buy a prepaid debit card. With the debit card you can walk around to any of the vending type machines and chose a taste, half glass or full glass of wine. These vending machines are all around the restaurant and have all different types of reds, roses, whites, champagnes and ports, each with its own description. In one night we tried over 5 different wines until we were each able to settle on one that we wanted a full glass of. Some of the tastings seemed a little expensive for a small pour of wine, but when your card is already paid for it seems less relevant. The tapas style food was also delicious. We had a crostini sampling topped with items such as wild mushroom ragout, chorizo frittata or prosciutto. The ceviche was fresh, loaded with avocado and served with a perfect scooping chip. If I had one recommendation for this wine bar it would be to create a way to track the wines you have tasted and your review of the wine. By the end of the night, after so many tastings we lost track of which wines we would order again and which ones we would not.

update: the patio is open!

So much fun!!! We had a Go Red for Women event here, and what a blast! Service was great, but what I personally love is sampling all the wines! That's right - a sample, 1/2 glass or a full glass...and you pick and sample any wine in the bar by pre-loading a debit-style card. We were there February 7th and had a blast! Organizing a happy hour with some old friends there very soon.

I went there for a private event so I did not have to pay. Food: Outstanding. Chicken wings and mini-burgers were scrumptious. The cured meat and cheese platters were flavorful. 5 stars for the food. Service: Invisible. Which is a very good thing. So smooth and perfectly attentive. Wines: Great. Huge selection. A terrific way to learn about wines. Beers: Pathetic selection. Nothing with real taste. Atmosphere: Modern. Hip. Relaxing. Enjoyable. Wine Prices: Way too expensive. Cut the prices in half and this place would be great.

Amazing food, affordably priced for the level of flavor! Such a contemporary fun atmosphere that allows you to try up to 68 different wines! Reminded me of one in winter park, fl. Highly recommend.

The great reviews are well deserved - very cosy, intimate space, the small plates that we tried were all delicious, the wine selection is just dizzying (and great) and service was very friendly and extremely efficient - overall, a terrific spot. Can't wait to go back!

I liked the atmosphere and the French Onion soup I had was pretty good, but the prices of the wine were a little steep. I really liked the wine dispensers, just wished it was a little more affordable. It did seem surprisingly laid back for a wine bar, which I don't know if I like. I felt overdressed wearing pants with heels, if that says anything. I would go back for another round because of the uniqueness of the place, though, but I would just dress down a little.

Trendy, hip and unique. This wine and tapas bar is a must visit! We were looking for a new place to try on a Friday night for date night and Vinue was highly recommended on Yelp. I couldn't agree more. You are given a card in which you prepay some amount. You then use the card to try one of the many wines at stations throughout the restaurant - a taste, half glass or full glass. Each wine has a great description so you can choose what fits your taste. The tapas were outstanding; we ordered 4 different small plates and walked away full. The tapas platter was delicious with crostini topped with an array of cra, steak, wild mushrooms and others. The tapas are reasonably priced and the service is exceptional. The wine is a little expensive if purchased a taste at a time, but worth the experience and opportunity to try so many. Next time I am bringing my girlfriends for girls night dinner out. It is the perfect ambiance.

This place is GREAT!!!! Came for a girls night in the middle of the week, after a few of us had a torturously long day. The bartender was super sweet and it was a great atmosphere.... An unexpected place to watch the final game of the world series but as a girl who love sports as much as I love good red wine, this was a perfect mix!

Vinue is fun in that it has a distinct Cherry Creek aura of fanciness, but without the snob-iness. The decor is fun; it's dark with bold colors and lots of visual contrast that made it a great place to hang out. I went on a Sunday and it was as dead as dead could be. No more than two other tables for our entire stay, so I probably shouldn't comment on noise; this was clearly an outlier, although I will recommend Sunday if you are looking for a romantic, fairly low key date where it's quiet enough to talk but still has atmosphere! Anyways, the wine selection is good, by variety, and the wine itself is very good, but don't go looking for your favorite label. They have inexpensive wines and very pricey bottles, however they are good quality wines from around the world and you can tell they are handpicked; even the $5 glasses taste more like $10-$12 glasses of wine. So while you may not recognize the wines themselves, be bold and experiment- odds of being disappointed seem pretty low to me. The best part about Vinue, and why you should go with an open mind and ready to experiment, is that they have perhaps a half dozen actual automated wine bars you can meander around. The bottles are out to enjoy, as well as tasting notes and the staff guided us and answered questions as well. Our server (who was good and nice, but again only two tables so it was bound to be a good serving experience) likened it to Dave and Busters cards- you can load up $X amount of money onto a card, and each bar has several bottles to choose from, as well a "taste," half-glass, and full glass option, all for different prices. Put your card, dispense the wine, pull the card out and head back to the table. I put $30 on a card with to share with my wife- we got two tastes, two half glasses, and one $16 full glass, which was one of the most expensive available. With that in mind, I felt like my money went pretty far! If you prefer your wine served to you- I mean you have to tip the waitress anyways right?- then you can have all of this brought to you by your server, except for the "taste" size- everything is on the menu. The food is only tapas and small plates- it was tasty, varied and typical with wine bars, but I would suggest having at least one night a week where a patron could sit down with a hearty meal to accompany the big red wines! Maybe they already do that, or maybe they will after seeing it here! Additionally, the small plates themselves were a little pricey so if you are trying to fill up, this place is easily $$$, but if you are there to enjoy wine and maybe split a plate, then its squarely within the $$ range, I promise. Go for social fun or a semi-nice date, not for a filling meal. In the future, I may meet friends there to begin an evening out, drinking and snacking, then moving to one of the other great restaurant choices in Cherry Creek. If you have a long wait for your favorite place, at the very least stop by and put $10 on a card to kill some time! Cheers!

Good atmosphere for a swanky girls night or a date night. I like the wine vending machine idea and putting money on a card that gets inserted into said machines. I can see how that may cause you to spend more, but I imagine you could also save the card and use it on another night as well. The negative is, as others have mentioned, it is a pricier place. I believe glasses of wine start around $10.

2012 Review #46: I'm not sure how common this restaurant concept is, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think I like it. I like the idea. I'm not sure how well the execution works but I do like the idea. We came here for Valentine's day, which is a pretty good occasion for this restaurant. It's very much a wine bar, with large couch/chairs and very tiny tables, that aren't really comfortable for eating. There are also some seats that don't really have tables at all. We came for dinner, and I would say that is not a very good idea. We didn't leave hungry, but I wouldn't say I was full. Although it was Valentine's day, it wasn't particularly busy. This is a tiny place, and you can see all 10-ish tables as soon as you enter. When we arrived, they had basically given our reservation away. They saved face by putting us at "the big table" which had enough seats for 6-8 people, but a tiny low table that barely held our plates. There was a table that was more appropriate for dinner, and it sat unoccupied our whole visit, but they implied it was going to be packed. Basically, there are 68 wines here, and they are all on tap. You pre-load a card with money, which goes on your bill, and you walk around to the dispensing machines, and it prices each wine by taste, 3 oz or 6 oz pour. It is a novel system, and it's neat because you get to try lots of different things, and you don't feel obligated to get what your partners in dinner are getting. I like some white wine on occasion but my husband doesn't, so it was a nice opportunity to try something new. Although 68 wines sounds like a lot, if you think about it, it's not. About 15 of these are high-roller wines, think Silver Oak and Opus One. The remaining 55-ish wines comprise everything from fortified wines, dessert wines, sparkling wines, and several varieties of whites and reds. Given how many grapes there are in the wine world, there really were only a couple options of malbec, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, etc. The white wines had some very budget friendly options, which they even paired with food items on the menu, which was a nice touch. However, they didn't have a single big, heavy red for less than $10 a glass. They also didn't have a lot of wines I expected to see, nothing too adventurous. For food we ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate, the tuna tartar and the short ribs. The charcuterie had some nice meat options. The cheeses were pretty straight forward, though the peppered goat cheese was nice. The tuna was tasty with some crispy, spicy wonton strips. The short ribs were tender, though the squash it came with seemed unnecessary and I found it a bit salty. There aren't many options for food- of the 8 or so options for small plates, 1 is a soup, 1 is a salad, 2 are raw tuna, 2 are beef, 1 is chicken. The tuna and beef applications were so similar they could have been the same dish, so I was puzzled by that. There are flatbreads, but the flavors just didn't appeal to me (sliced turkey? little odd). Our server was scattered. His new girlfriend was coming and he was clearly in another place, mentally. Things like plates, napkins, knowing what cheese we were eating, etc. weren't really covered but the guy deserves a break on that one. I didn't really feel very welcomed in the space, from our entrance to our exit. The idea is very interesting, but not only does it take away the personal aspect of wine service, it's just a bit sterile. Clearly this is a restaurant-owner's dream: you can't over-pour, you can't give free drinks, etc. etc. But I wouldn't say it makes for a warm experience. This is the type of place that screams Cherry Creek. For 3 small plates, four 3 oz glasses of wine, and two 4 oz pours of prosecco, it was around $90. It was fun in a fancy, gimmicky way, but I think they need to really decide what they are. If they really are a wine bar, I think they should rethink the food menu, since the tables and such are not conducive to big dishes. The food is quite tasty, but it's just a little difficult. Stick to finger foods, snacks, etc. Or rethink the plates and make it like you would make food for a cocktail party. I think this is the type of place everyone will go to once, but I don't see people repeating their visits here. My husband and I both agree this is a 3.5 star place, but with the high price point, I'm going down to 3 stars. Not at all bad, but for nearly $100 for two people to have 2 drinks each and not even a full meal, that's just too much. Oh, and they played Aerosmith and Celine Deon. Come on.

LOVE this place! Why have I not been here before? I had no idea what to expect when I found out that we were going here for drinks but I was definitely blown away. First of all, they're open until 12am Weds-Sat which is rare in Denver, apparently. The second thing I noticed was the awesome atmosphere. There are booths, tables, and a couple couches which definitely makes for a great place to lounge. Now, we only went here for drinks and didn't even look at the food menu but I would really only recommend it for lounging and drinks as I could not see myself eating a large meal here. The concept, as a whole, is wonderful - you get a prepaid card and insert it into a slot and then press which wine you want to taste (and the size) and then the wine pours into your glass. The servers come around frequently and give you new glasses so that you can try as many wines as your little heart desires. I didn't find one wine that I didn't like and I actually fell in love with a "Chocolate Wine" which was unique and blew me away. The atmosphere is great, the service is awesome, and the wine selection is wonderful. Check it out!

I was skeptical of Vinue but I'm a big fan now! Have been there twice and have plans for two more visits later this month. Want to share it with my friends, especially as a good excuse for girls night out! The staff have been very friendly and helpful both times I've been there. There is a good array of wines and I love the tasting option! The food is tasty, nothing amazing, but good. I especially love that they have three sparkling wines so I can end my evening with a half glass of bubbly!

This place is really fun. Really, really fun. My husband and I like charging a card with far too much money and trying every wine in the place. There are a lot of ridiculously delicious wines to try and it's a bit refreshing to be able to get out of your seat and walk around during a meal. Their food is also nothing to scoff at. My husband and I love the turkey panini, the mac and cheese, and the ribs. It can all pretty much get in my belly.

More of a 3 1/2. Liked the place but didn't love it. Other reviews mentioned the decor and spacing of the furniture. They are right on, a little off but not a deal breaker. The ceviche was good, not CA fresh/good, but pretty decent. Nice crackers with it. The short rib was tasty but sliced so thin and overcooked. Had two wines by the glass, both reds. Enjoyed both. They had all their wines near the bar in refrigerated dispensing units, which looks cool but logistically weird. Order wine at the bar and the bartender has to go around you to get the wine from the machine. Anyways, not necessary but the wines were good. I think the blend I ordered was the Chakalaka. Spicy/ pepper note. The bartenders were cool too. Will go back and try something else.

Waited 40 minutes just to get a glass of wine on a Wednesday. Waiter tried but ultimately failed to give timely service. Offered too many excuses for lack of service. Food was mediocre to bad. Not worth the price and definitely not worth over an hour long wait. Would not recommend and will not go back!

This is the cutest, swankest little wine/tapas bar! I love how you can buy a prepaid card to sample any of the many wine offerings placed in vending machines scattered throughout the restaurant. For someone as indecisive as me, it's the best idea to be able to sample before you decide on a full glass! The tapas plate was very good, although it left me wanting more.. luckily, we also ordered the lump crab cake appetizer, which was also delicious. I would totally recommend this place for a girls' night out, a date, or just because! Our waiter was a tad on the slow side, but otherwise, this was an excellent night out and I definitely plan on returning!

We hosted an association event at Vinue and were absolutely in awe of the service. The manager, Rebecca, was amazing - so accommodating and even had special menus printed with our logo. The upstairs room was perfect for our event, it was intimate and a little quieter than downstairs but our server was constantly checking on us. Definitely recommend Vinue! Thank you from HSMAI Denver!

Absolutely LOVE this place they have such a great selection of wine and not a bad tapas menu :) good place for a before dinner drink when meeting up with friends.
(5)Burry B.
very nice venue with great service. great vino selection. my advice, if you know what taste you prefer ask for a suggestion rather that opting for the charge card. the charge card will cause you to easily spend 30-70% more that you would if you simply received a glass of exactly what you were looking for. word of advice, any proper restaurant would easily give you a taste of any glass of wine that you were curious about. not sure if you could do that here without paying for it. had 4 different dishes here, and they all were great and delicious. sorry but i don't recall which the individual dishes were.

Very interesting concept. I'm really a non drinker and came here on a double date. The staff is very accommodating. There are a lot of wines to choose from but the machines they pour from can be a little confusing. This is a great date night or first date place. We had a booth and this place has music but not so loud that you can't talk to who you came with. The crowd seemed more low key upper middle class type people, which is nice to be able to go out somewhere in cherry creek and avoid the pretentiousness

My husband and I were here our second time this evening. We love this place. We both enjoy wine and here we get to sample anything we want to try. Tonight we also tried the bruschetta sampler and the goat cheese truffle (in walnut). These food items were absolutely fantastic. The goat cheese, by the way, is amazing with red wine. Tonight as we enjoyed ourselves we discussed how we should come here often on my husband's "Friday" nights (which are really everyone else's Monday). We enjoy the decor, the music, the wine, the service. Love.....
(5)Tara S.
I met a group of friends here for sme drinks and apps one Saturday early evening. The entire group loved it! The service was excellent and the wine selection was impressive. The atmosphere and music is also great. We will be back!

Fun place. Many, many wines to try. They had an interesting system for tasting and/or buying a glass. You load up a card and then go to one of many machines that "tap" the wine bottle. You then choose a taste, a half-glass or a glass of wine and the machine dispenses it. They will sell you wine by the glass and bring it to you, but that isn't nearly as much fun. Careful though, you can end up spending quite a bit of money wandering around and tasting. As to the food, it was very good. It was all small plates, and my wife and I shared four things. We had the shortribs, which were amazingly flavorful bites of rich, but not overly fatty (as short ribs can be) meat, resting on a very good mash. The tuna tartar was also wonderful, with a generous portion of both tuna and avocado, and perfectly crisped wontons to eat them on. My only VERY nitpicky thought was that I would have liked the tuna slightly more chopped, as it would have transferred better to the crisps better. The only real bobble of the night was the crostinis. It was a plate of five (which they very nicely put on five separate plates when I told them of my wife's allergy to red meat), and three of the five crostini's were just okay. My wife raved about the mushrooms. The flatbread was also good, but not amazing. All told, the meal came out to under a hundred dollars without tip, and with trying a fair number of wines. The place was more like 4.5 stars, but Yelp won't let me do that, so I went with four. Given all of the above, I would very much recommend Vinue, especially if you like sampling a number of wines and dishes.

Great place for a splurge on wine / small plates.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I picked the wrong night to try it out. The had two very large private parties going on in the main area and in the upstairs lounge. It was very noisy. I do like the idea of pouring your own drinks and wandering around to try out different wines. Just because you can pour your own wine does not mean you will get a good pour. The wines are all metered via computer. The wines that I tried were good. They have a large selection of wines. Service was good. The interior is comfortable and inviting. It is a good place for gatherings and groups. I did not try the food, but the menu items sounded good. I will go again. Hopefully it will not be as loud.
(4)Susan K.
This wine bar is great! Wonderful concept & something different.....thank you! I get tired of the same wines at the same places. They offer you a chance to mix it up and have a taste, half glass or whole glass. All types of wines.....from Opus to pinot grigio. It's fun for a girls night out or date night. Staff is knowledgeable and the food is pretty good. Especially the sea salt kettle chips with blue cheese :) Don't miss that one!

Our experience at Vinue was epic. We had let them know it was a special date night for us when we made our reservation and we greeted with champagne when we arrived. Our service was impeccable, always making sure we were ok but allowing us plenty of space to enjoy our evening. Our tapas were delish and the wine selection was great. We opted to try 4 half glasses at recommendations of our waitress instead of using the machines, but the machines looked awesome and very easy to use. Moreover, the hostess offered us a ride to our hotel when we were ready because it had been pouring rain for over an hour and was still sprinkling when we needed to leave. She drove us to the Marriot where we were staying which was totally unnecessary but very appreciated. It made it even more of a special environment. It is a great place and would be perfect for a night out with other couples because everyone can try whatever wine/bubbles/and a full bar and not have to hassle with splitting a bill at the end because you pre-load a card with however much you want to spend and then can go choose your own wine if you want. A bachelorette party was going on and they looked to be enjoying themselves thoroughly! An excellent experience, we were able to try a lot of new wine without the commitment of a bottle or even a full glass, and it was excellent ambiance!
(5)Jason M.
Chef Kevin King is amazing!! Vinue Food and Wine Bar is a hip lounge-style tapas bar located in Cherry Creek. The food is awesome and the vibe is elegant. Tory the bartender/server/hostess/everything is also amazing. Be sure to get the short ribs, they rock!!
(5)Dan H.
The most important thing to know is that the pre-paid card you need to purchase to buy glasses of wine is not redeemable for food. It's crazy. They also dont tell you that up front which is unfair. The concept is interesting but I have to say I prefer being served glasses of wine that I can try before committing like at other wine bars (Caveau for example). they have an interesting selection of wines to choose from, including some very pricey high end stuff that will deplete your card pretty quickly. The flatbread we had was excellent. worth a try but I only anticipate going back to deplete the remainder of my wine card.
(2)Leah R.
Nice place to chill and try a selection of great wines. The concept is fun, and according to my much more knowledgeable wine-o friends, they have some really great wines. The food is also pretty good. The light up menus themselves kept me amused. The ambiance was laid back - An more "sophisticated" crowd, with a much larger tilt towards the female population. So men, this is where it's at.
(4)Katie M.
Go here! Visiting this place is a must! That is all I am going to say.

Last night was my first visit to Vinue, an anticipated slower night, due to the Oscar broadcast and it being a Sunday evening. We were to meet another couple there, wine aficionados, who had suggested trying the place for wine and small plate samplings before perhaps going somewhere else for dinner and/or another activity. Vinue, as a venue, is a lovely room, with thoughtful decor and a myriad of wine selections by either 1 1/2, 3, or 6 ounce pours throughout the room. The automated dispensers for the wine bottles are ingenious affairs, requiring a credit card of sorts loaded with any predetermined dollar amount that you'd like your server to pre-allot. You insert the card into a slot, the machine checks the balance, you select a particular wine, then the amount of the pour, placing your wine glass under a dispenser to drip into your glass and the dispensing machine deducts the dollar amount of that particular pour from your credit account. Selections are plentiful, offering styles and varietals at many price points, ranging from lovely to pedestrian, and providing a great way to sample some exquisite wines without the expense of committing to an entire bottle. We had our lovely server/bartender select a couple of appetizer plates for us off of their happy hour (4PM-7PM) menu, and they were both perfectly suited for many of our wine tastings, a bruschetta plate and some orangy/asian chicken drummettes, expertly prepared. We should have tried other plates, but had decided that we would take the party elsewhere for dinner, and didn't want to overdo it with the food. I'll definitely be back soon to try other things on their menu. By the way, the service we received was just perfect. She (I should have noted her name, but can't recall) greeted us warmly and genuinely upon our arrival, giving us a tour of the dispensing machines and where we'd find the various styles of whites, reds, sparkling and dessert/port selections. A few staff favorites were pointed out, and she presented us with several menus when we had seated ourselves at a comfortable L-shaped sofa arrangement, loaded our wine card with our requested $50 credit, and we entrusted her to select our appetizers. Throughout our visit, she was always there when needed, professional and warm without being in the way...providing the ideal mood and pace for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. By the way, the menus were attractively bound...and when opened, the pages were lit automatically, which was unexpected and welcome for someone needing a bit more light and reading glasses, as many of us beyond a certain age can attest. There is a full bar and plentiful beers offered for anyone not wanting to sample wine, but why would you come here and not enjoy the opportunity to sample the vino? A great time was had by all four of us, really, and I anticipate making Vinue a regular haunt in the future.

Very kind server, tasty small plates, and cool ambience. I had Sauvignon-Emillion with goat cheese truffles, tapas plates, flour-less chocolate cheese cake and so on. We love the cheese truffles. We didn't try their tasting wines, but they have quite interesting selections. I liked people were not noisy and were relaxed. The server was super friendly and professional! The old movie they play on the wall was so cool! When I was there, they played one my favorites, Casablanca. The music was my another favorite, Stan Getz. Enjoyed a lot!
(4)Shannon P.
I absolutely love this place! The wine dispensers are such a fun concept. I am glad that Cherry Creek finally has a wine bar, and such a sleek and stylish one at that. I like that I can sample an expensive wine or champagne that I have always wanted to try with out the commitment of buying a whole bottle or even a glass. The hostess versed my friends and me on the cards, the concept and everything right when we walked in, so I was fully aware that the cards are specifically for wine and champagne. The food was really good and the head chef talked to us for a bit, who was really friendly and pumped to be there. I really like when employees are so enthusiastic and welcoming. I will be going back soon and if I continue to be satisfied I will probably make this my new go-to place to take clients and out of town guests.

came during the week and the place was dead. started with a glass of rose that was recommended. it was very nice. got there for the happy hour menu and started with the kettle chips, flat bread with filet, goat cheese, and meatballs. the kettle chips were good but it would have been nice if they were warm. the flat bread had good flavor but the filet had the texture of sausage. the cheese ball was fine. I could have done without the meatballs. they were fine, i'm just not a big fan of velute. we were still a little hunger so we ordered the crab cakes. they were a huge disappointment. they tasted like they were cooked the week prior. service was good.

After a horrible experience in Cherry Creek we went across the street to Vinue. Absolutely beautiful, wine selection is great and the service was top notch. I believe the bartender waited on us because we came early. She was outstanding. The food was really good too. I recommend for a romantic date night or later for a girls night out.

Vinue is one of my favorite spots to go to in Denver! A wine bar fitted with EnoMatic wine dispensers, Vinue offers a variety of wines 'on tap' as well as a great wine list and food menu. The space is modern and elegant, and it's a great place for a date or for catching up with friends. I've been numerous times since they opened, including for private events, and the service is always wonderful. Servers are always willing to explain the concept and menu to newcomers, and I always feel like I'm being taken care of. In addition to having a great selection of wines that range enough in price and varietal to keep me happy, I also love their food. At happy hour, the prices are really reasonable for items like the beef tenderloin flatbread and the goat cheese balls (omg I just love the goat cheese). On their main menu, everything I've tried has been delicious, but I am far and away most partial to two items: the tuna tartare and the funnel cake sticks served with dark chocolate sauce. I literally get cravings for these items weekly. If you're looking for a great place to host an event or somewhere to grab a glass of wine with some friends, I'd highly recommend Vinue. Just don't leave without some funnel cake sticks!

Finally, a cool venue in Cherry Creek aka Vinue--all I'm waiting for is the disco ball to drop. The wine is smooth, and the management/chef/owner Rebecca and Jorge are even smoother. Totally unpretentious, yet classy at the same time. They say "people look like their dogs." But I say, "These people resemble their wine...polished." Salud!

Came down for Valentines day dinner, first off, the music, maybe it was just because if was V-day or I dunno, but I must have heard Boys 2 Men 3 times while we were there. Not really a place to go for dinner, we sat in bench type seats about a foot off the floor, and it was right next to the front door. My date was wearing a short dress, and well, lets just say it was a bit awkward, and she was cold most of the meal. The wine selection was decent, although a bit high priced for what was being served. Our waitress was great, although there was a guy that stopped by randomly to recommend wines, w/o asking what we were having, and one comment that really struck me, was when he said "The wines that are really good tonight are...." I found that odd, he also stopped by randomly a couple of times to chit chat about the film they had playing on the wall in the background and other random nonsence. I was on a date and to me that was just an unwelcome interuption. The food - we had the Tapas Platter, Tigershrimp Dish, and the Scallops between us. The scallops were good, as were the Shrimp, and a few of the Tapas were good. However the portions vs the price was not really worth it. The movie in the background was neat, The Princess Bride, however they switched it over to Amelie, and I don't quite think it was athe best choice, watching a close up of a woman giving actual birth, in the opening of the movie among other things is not what I would call dinner appropriate. Overall its a place I could see myself *maybe* having happy hour at, but as for having an actual meal, I would not recommend it, everything that we had was appetizer sized, and it would have been nice to sit at an actual table. And once again, I hope they seriously consider changing the music.

What a great idea! I always get the same kind of wine because it is safe. This place let's me try many types of wine within many different price ranges. The decor is fabulous and the kettle chips with blue cheese is tasty. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this place for out of town guests, date night, or other just for fun. It can get pricy so you may not want to spend your whole evening there, but it's a great place to start.

Service was excellent. Wine on tap to produce your own wine flights allows you to try everything! Love the idea and love the ambience of the place. Tried the chicken drummettes, braised short rib and ahi ceviche, plus desserts. The wine selections are good and vary in price range to fit all budgets. Our server even provided a mini-tour (place is not big), and suggestions from each wine varietal section. I had a great time, enjoyed many wines, and I will be back!

I'm so glad to finally have this type of wine bar in the Cherry Creek area! I could not have asked for better services! A big "thank you" to the staff, owners, and especially Kevin, the executive chef, for making my first time there such a wonderful experience! I absolutely love the vast selection of wines and I am looking forward to going back to try more of Kevin's culinary creativity. I actually enjoy having the card, as I find it rather convenient. Additionally, to the comment above, you are able to use your card to buy samples of the wines before committing to a larger serving and I actually had fun sampling! Next time I'm coming in, I am buying the two new bottles of wine that was introduced to me. =) See yall soon!

I love it here! This has become my favorite after work spot. It is a great wine bar with small plates, and the food is delicious. I especially love the tuna tartar. It is fun to get tastes of wines before committing to a full glass of something new. It's a fun interactive place for a date night, and great girls night. The cocktail list is also appealing, with different, interesting drinks. They also have excellent top shelf liquors. The owners are friendly and very knowledgeable, and more than happy to show you around. It is beautiful and not the least bit pretentious.

Terrible service, rude wait staff, average food, waaaaaayyyyyy over priced wine. Was so looking forward to trying a new wine bar but this place was a SUPER disappointment. There are too many good places to go - I would never go back.

I went to Vinue last weekend and it's one of the nicest places in Denver to get a good glass of wine. I read the reviews before and so I knew about the credit card they have you use, but when I got there the hostesses/waitresses explained it anyway which I thought was really great! The bartender and wait staff were really friendly and made the experience more enjoyable. I will definitely go back there again!

This is a cool new place that just opened a week or two ago (mid-August 2011). My wife and I went there yesterday, had a great experience, and would highly recommend it! The wine selection was great; it's a little spendy, but you can also get small pours and taste a variety of wines for less that way. The food was delicious- a variety of small plates. Good atmosphere- there is a mix of loungy chairs and regular tables. But the coolest thing is a unique concept that the entire restaurant is built around. There are 68 bottles of wine "on tap" in cool-looking glass machines throughout the restaurant; and after you put some money onto a special credit card, you can serve yourself any of the wines. Fun and interactive, leads to some good mingling. Also almost 20 beers on tap. Overall, great experience and something new and different.

This place is awesome! We had so much fun here. I have never seen this type of wine bar before. My friend told me that they have them in LA. I am glad we have one here now becase it is a blast. The atmosphere here is exactly our type of place. We had a great time sampling the different wines, and having a couple glasses of our favorites. Before Vinue opened, there wasn't a good place in Cherry Creek to go for drinks before or after dinner. My husband and I loved it and I am planning to go back very soon.
