    I just had breakfast here and even though the bartender was super friendly you know this place will be shut down after the summer. The cost of the renovation was probably enough to send smashburger into debt for a couple of years. I ordered a coffee with Irish cream. Totally ok. I also ordered bacon and eggs. The price they are charging for those carton eggs is out of this world. Working as a cook for Marriott during college I can spot those things a mile away. The bartender had them refunded for me but the manager straight lied to my face on where they came from. Real eggs have egg white in them sir. They did refund me for the eggs but my coffee and bacon were about 9 bucks. Should have just had illegal Pete's again today:(

    Came here for breakfast last weekend and it was really just ok. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash. I thought it was a little skimpy on the amount of hash served. It tasted good--real corned beef and not the kind from a can. I ordered my eggs over Medium, but they were served over easy so the egg whites were not cooked all the way. I should have sent them back but didn't want to go through the hassle. My friend got the Chorizo breakfast burrito. It looked pretty good. It was fairly big too and had a ton of Chorizo in it (maybe too much from the looks of it as Chorizo can be strong). All-in-all it was just average. I still like the space but was slightly disappointed with my breakfast selection.

    Like heroine to an addict, this restaurant is a foodie's next fix. This upscale urban diner is hands down worth investigating on the chic corner of Larimer and 15th. Our server, Jake, was polite, low key, knowledgeable and friendly. He played his part well and guided us through the menu suggesting his favorite breakfast and lunch items. We started with a Mango Bellini and a Jade Bloody Mary (made with tomatillos instead of tomato sauce). The bellini was amazing! The Jade Mary was interesting and was more to the sweet side with an interesting texture. I liked it. My partner selected the Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes with blueberries, and I had the Carnitas Cuban Sandwich. Both of these dishes blew our taste buds through the roof. If you order sweet potato waffle fries, the voodoo sauce is de rigueur. Skip the Heinz. Your mouth will thank you. It takes a lot for me to declare a new establishment "my favorite new spot", yet Tom's managed to hook us immediately, and we can't wait to return.

    Lots of options here! Overall, my friends and I had a nice time. Very casual setting, large portions. The drink selection was good. I tried the Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich and my friends got the original and carnitas mac n cheese. All was tasty.

    If I could dislike my experience any more than one star I would. This was such a horrible dining experience that I am taking my frustration as I still sit at the booth waiting for change for my $50 check. NEVER EVER GO!!!!! When I just told the waitress, Riley, that we won't be back, she asked if it was because we will be out of town. I said, "No, we won't be back because it was terrible." Then she asked if we wanted her to take it off the bill... We just wanted to get the hell out of that place. Manager in the plaid shirt talked to a table right next to us almost the whole time we were there. He did nothing. Very insulting customer service and food experience.

    Stopped in here for weekend lunch. Had the Jade Mary to start with, which is a green bloody mary made with cucumber and tomatillo. It was good--but good as in interesting, not good as in a drink I'd have again. The service was fast an efficient. I was seated right away, even though the rest of my party wasn't there, which is always a plus. What was especially nice is that our server was very pleasant even though we had at our table a toddler who was (in my humble opinion) not completely under control...ugh. Anyway, the food was, again, good. The avocado salad was pretty meh. Make that very meh. However, I tasted the club sandwich, which was not bad, the mac and cheese, which was quite good, and the waffle sweet potato fries--oh my. The fries are highly recommended. And while the fries are great, I didn't feel like they garnered the place a four-star rating. I mean, it's basically fried sugar. Overall, nice to have a new place in this space, and very very nice to have a place downtown open 24 hours that's not a complete dump. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

    I have always enjoyed my food here and the waitress I usually get. Came here on Saturday 11/23/13 with a friend and had a great experience. Left my debit card, which I'm positive I did leave it here bc I used it here and went straight home afterwards. Called the next day and was greeted by a very rude woman who wanted to call me back about my debit card and acted too busy to care, which I was very surprised and angered by. When you're frantically searching for something like a debit card, you kinda want to know right away. She ended up hanging up on me. Then I called back for the manager, who claimed to look, but never found it. Lies. I think me being upset with the gal who answered the phone caused me my debit card. Can't believe a business would not give someone their card back. I'll never be back.

    The staff is too cool for school and horribly untrained. The hostess/goodfella told us there was "no chance" we could fit 5 in a booth. Thanks wiseguy. We did anyway, Comfortably. At least he looked cool in his shiny Jersey Shore button up. I'm pretty sure the waitress took her lunch break after she took our order. We didn't get our meal of appetizers for over an hour. At least she looked cool in her dress. The food was garbage. Powdered eggs. Ketchup salsa. When we were mercifully given our overpriced check and allowed to leave I saw a raccoon by the dumpster outside holding his stomach. He made the same mistake we did. I hope this place is a parking lot soon.

    First time at Tom's Urban 24 was for breakfast and this place rocks! Had one pancake to truly test them and also eggs Benedict. The pancake was absolutely outstanding. It wasn't heavy and the syrup had an incredible taste. Do not change anything in the recipe. The eggs Benedict were probably the best I have ever had and that says a lot. Good flavor, texture, egg cooked perfectly. Do not visit Denver without eating breakfast here!!! Also have Wi-Fi

    This new edition to the Denver Lodo restaurant community has a stellar location. Both the lighting and décor makes for great eye candy. The brightly colored orange chairs make a stark statement because as everyone knows, "orange" is the new "black" when it comes to urban coolness. I've dined here several times, apparently drawn in unwittingly by the décor like a moth to the flame. My fate, like the moths before me, did not end plesantly. One of my first attempts to dine was brought to an abrupt end by a linguistically challenged hostess. After a workout at the local health club around a little past noon on a recent weekend morning, I went in to check out their brunch. When I explained to the hostess that it would be one for brunch, she quickly informed me that they didn't serve "brunch." I looked at her quizzically, having seldom heard of a 24-hour diner that did not offer brunch. As I went to utter a follow up, she quickly shook her head, reaffirming that I had heard correctly. I assumed they had moved squarely into lunch and didn't bother to dally around with wishsy washy transitional meals like brunch and departed. On the following weekend at about the same time, I went in again and this time decided to ask to look at the menu. Featured prominently on the menu was the fact that they served breakfast and lunch until 4:00 PM. Obvious to you, me, and the rest of the literate world (but not my previous hostess), this is a not so roundabout way of saying; "We Serve Brunch!" At this point, I was guessing (hoping even) that the bulk of the budget went into food and décor versus staff training. Well, after dining there about three times now, I can firmly say that not much of that aforementioned budget into the food. Late Night Drink Experience: I had a gin drink from the menu that was so bad that I think I've purged the name from my memory banks. I left the entire drink on the counter and paid my bill and the bartender didn't even mention it. Perhaps even he was ashamed to revisit it. Late Night Food Experience: I ordered a Bacon Caramel Donut as a part of their daily donut selection. When the waiter mentioned it, I literally had visions of the "Krispy Kreme Hot Now Sign", which has been known to cause car accidents when lit up. What I was served would only cause an accident as you took your eye off the road to look for a place in your car to spit it out. It was a chewy room temperature donut-like-bready circular-thing with a little flaky caramel and of course, covered in bacon. "Brunch" or Breakfast in the Afternoon Experience (as my hostess would term it): The breakfast burrito married the incongruent concepts of being both extremely large and extremely awful. The menu listed about a dozen ingredients for this burrito and after consuming about half of it, I envied the stomach clearing tactics of a bulimic model. Snack Experience: The Colorado Calamari tasted like calamari that originated in the "Oceans of Colorado." As I write this, I'm still not certain it was squid I consumed. Unknowing tourists and teens in $200.000 jeans desiring an audience will probably give this place a longer life span than it deserves. We true downtowners know better. I give this place a one star for the décor and location.

    They say imitation in the sincerest for of flattery. If that's the case, Snooze must be plenty flattered. Clearly borrowing many queues from one of Denver's most popular breakfast spots, Tom's has a cool retro feel a-la Snooze. Their offerings, while not as inventive as Snooze, were still, very solid. I'm not sure why there's so much hate going around for Tom's? I met some friends for some Sunday brunch and had a really nice experience. There were some hiccups, but overall it's a really good spot. I enjoyed the Barbacoa Breakfast Burrito. It was really tasty and beautifully presented. Our group shared a homemade pop-tart, that was dee-lish. I really wish Tom's was on the bottomless mimosa trend that seems to be so popular. Their cocktails were kinda pricey. I had a "WTF;)" that was some concoction of whiskey, red wine, beer, OJ and simple syrup that was surprisingly tasty. Where Tom's will really shine is after 2am when the bars let out. Denver has been very deficient in the late night eateries and Tom's, I'm sure will be a welcome addition.

    Overpriced and expensive for breakfast, but cool inside... hope it survives... most likely a better lunch, dinner, and late-nite place. Otherwise, breakfast is limited and pedestrian compared to all the other breakfast options in Denver... but, I would stlll recommend this place for the potential and the vibe...

    Toms Urban has a lot of potential, but it's not there just yet. The decor is great, and it's in a prime location. I found it a bit loud, likely due to the tall ceilings. The service was top notch, though! We were well served by a lovely girl named Chanel. I'm gluten free, and found that Toms Urban is very behind in there gluten free menu options. We were forced to "create" our own dish, which wasn't all that tasty. I won't be returning until I know there are more g-free options. Otherwise, keep it up, Toms, you're well on your way.

    Open 24 hours- great location- serves breakfast from 10 pm - 4 pm = Heaven. Blueberry pancakes are great. Service is wonderful- and patient in the late evenings when need be. This place is my go to late night if i am downtown. A huge variety of menu options, and the atmosphere is top notch. Go!

    For a 24-hour diner on the corner of Larimer Square, this place is both better than expected and a little disappointing. I can't really fault the food - I got a ham/spinach/cheese omelette that tasted just like I was hoping it to, and everyone else in my party seemed pretty content. But nothing we tried had that extra spark of flavor or effort that makes a dish really swoon-worthy. The service also left something to be desired. Our waiter didn't seem very familiar with the menu (not understanding which sides came with which dishes), ended up confusing the sides on two of our orders, and took a long time to get back to us when we had a question about a menu item. Overall, though, I wouldn't mind coming back if we were in the area on a late night. It's certainly ten steps above Denny's.

    I ordered the corned beef hash for brunch and it was very, very dry and tasteless....even told the waiter... No consideration was given and for a $30.00 breakfast, expect something better. Very disappointed as this is in our neighborhood...

    Pros: modern, funky interior with one of the best spots on the Larimer block. I thought to myself, I would love if this place had a loft upstairs to live in. Also, we got seated quickly by the hostess (we had reservations). Cons: waited almost 10 minutes for water. Waiter confused by order and had to repeat 3x. After ordering and waiting another 15-20 minutes we were told the kitchen was behind and our food would be delayed (I don't blame them for this, I am understanding of a roll out, but warn me first!). Because we decided to come here for a lunch I had to ask for my check and pay before the food even came out, then leave empty handed. The rest of my party waited for the food and dined without me. While they said their food was alright, my soggy cold lunch was pretty dissatisfying. I am going to give this place another shot, but my initial impression of a place that I have been excited for was very underwhelming. If you have an extra few hours to wait around for a salad, go now. If not, you may want to give Tom's Urban 24 some time to work the kinks out.

    I'll come back and review Tom's Urban again after they've had a chance to work through their "new kid on the block" issues, but in the meantime, I was pretty disappointed today. Lunch took literally over an hour to arrive after ordering, and it was clear that most dishes had been sitting under a heat lamp. Cold fries? Wilted spinach? Lukewarm food? The Denver food scene deserves better.

    First for foremost, evening bartenders Lee and Annie O. rock! Second, it's a brilliant concept to bring an upscale 24-hour diner to 15th & Larimer! I certainly can see myself going here for weekend breakfast, weekdays Happy Hours and drunk, late-night munchies. With a solid menu and ample booze selection, in addition to a delightfully funny staff, Tom has a good thing going in downtown. Don't kick rocks, Tom.

    I'll have to give this place another shot as time goes on. Took 50 minutes to get a taco platter. It arrived without the beans & it didn't dawn in me until after I had left. Tried to call and the manager couldn't help me because I left my ticket on the table. It would have taken him 15 minutes to figure out who our server was and provide better customer service. No such luck. Too bad I ddin't get what I ordered, he was in now way going to do a little extra to make my experience better. Pros: Great location and interior Tacos were good Cons: Disappointed that there are no appetizers for lunch other than french fries. From the name you could get the impression that all items on the menu are availalble at all time but that is not the case. Lunch is mostly pizza, sandwiches and burger. All the good stuff appears to be on the dinner menu. I could not try the deviled eggs or mac n cheese because it on the dinner menu. I will give it a shoot again once the hype dies down. I wasn't impressed and I really wanted to love this place.

    I have been here multiple nights and the food and service is always top notice but tonight the management thought different. We tried to buy drink at 1 :15 on a Friday night and that wasn't okay. This hipster manager was over the GABF crowd and wanted to go home. Which made his staff lose money. Hipster d-bag management in lodo = failure, staff and food choices and great and i hope they stay.

    We ended up at this place because most of the restaurants on market had a long wait and we were hungry. First: the staff was amazing, our waiter was so nice and informative and attentive. We ordered calamari (which had a kick to it) and the crispy brussel sprouts for appetizers (loved these). I had the Mahi Mahi special which was delicious. We also ordered the house salad (large portion!) which was large and a selection of tacos (good, but not memorable). In all, the food wasn't that impressive or unique, but was reasonably priced.

    Atrocious. We went with 5 people for dinner on a Friday night, and they couldn't get one thing right. 2 out of 5 dishes were sold out, so we had to change. Okay, not a huge deal. Then the food took an hour and a half to come out, and was pretty crappy. A "steak salad" was a huge pile of lettuce with 4 quarter-sized chunks of cold overcooked steak. For $15. All the other meals were similarly blah and overpriced. Drinks were ok, I guess. Want to ruin your night and throw away money? Go here. Poor form, Tom.

    I just stopped by for lunch so the restaurant's true appeal, the fact it's always open didn't really hit home with me. What I did experience though was a decent lunch, with a friendly staff. A lot of people are complaining about the food, but when I was there I didn't find anything wrong with it at all. Was it a great meal? No. It wasn't terrible though by any means. The place itself looks very nice, so I'd rate the overall atmosphere pretty high. That aside though, this place is more or less completely average, at least in my book. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but for a meal at 3am I'd say it's not too shabby at all.

    On a recent trip to Denver, we began our day with brunch at Tom's Urban 24, which was spacious and sunlit, with adorable round booth tables and Edison lightbulbs suspended at different heights and shaded with colored blown glass. We sat at one of their cute round booths with a great view of downtown Denver. The food was delicious and totally worth the wait (those mango mimosas also helped alleviate wait time). This place reminded me a lot of 24 Diner, an upscale diner in Austin. The hollandaise that came atop my eggs Benedict was some of the richest, thickest hollandaise I've been served. The fire roasted tomato and lemon vinagrette salad accompanying it was tasty and well-balanced-- not just an afterthought to the rest of the dish (as side salads often tend to be). A friend and I split this fig goat cheese pop tart to start as well-- yummmm! It wasn't overly sweet and the crust was light and flaky (it more closely resembled a Toaster Strudel, if we're gonna get technical...) Our service was just great too- I'd definitely recommend this place (for brunch at least! can't say I know anything about the lunch/dinner fare)

    Don't eat the crab enchiladas. They are black bean enchiladas. That's it. There were some scant bits of crab and that's all. Went for restaurant week tonight and there's no way I'll be going back. While I'm sure there are redeeming dishes and servers at this establishment, I don't care to tempt fate again. Plenty of other restaurants to choose from. What a waste of money.

    I'm surprised to see the lackluster reviews . I had seen this place for a few weeks and wanted to try it since Denver really lacks a GOOD 24 hour restaurant . I came in for an early lunch/ late breakfast , with my parents . I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict with Bacon and it was delicious one of the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had , I really enjoyed the Field Green Salad that it came with instead of the usual Potatoes . I heard nothing but good remarks from my parents on there food I can't wait to try this place at 3 am after a night of drinking haha

    Just had a delicious 24 chopped salad for lunch. Green chile in the dressing(just like I do at home)! My husbands green chile and red chile were very flavorful New Mexico style, my favorite!!! Large portions, and the slightly higher price is because of the prime location. The decor is snooze reminiscent with rounded booths. Great choice for lunch or 24hr time frame. A lot on the menu to come back and try!

    It was a rainy day, looking down at the Larimer Square from pour condo, we thought it would be nice to go out for breakfast, something we do often. Although we had been to Urban 24 twice in the past, and disappointed, we thought we should give it another try. My wife and I both ordered the breakfast burritos. The descriptions were appetizing: Colo enchilada sauce, cheddar and Monterey pepper jack cheese, topped with quesco(!) fresco, diced tomato, etc... Sounds appetizing enough, but when the burritos arrived we unwrapped them and found small amount of egg with spoonful of meat inside. As for the other ingredients mentioned in the menu, they has spread spoonful of cheese on the burritos along with a very small container of salsa. This dish would have been a winner if they mixed all the ingredients with the eggs, added a bit more meat, and possibly added some beans, otherwise why even call it a burrito? This place has a nice ambiance and service is good. Too bad that the food has consistently disappointed us. If I were the manager, I would send the chef across the street to The Market and have him order a breakfast burrito, or an omelet, or maybe even a sandwich, while at it, the manager may try one himself. I bet they'd want to go there again, which is where our server said he always go for lunch.

    I was rather disappointed with the food. Their black bean burger is not gluten free. They had very limited vegetarian options that were gluten free. I orderef a white bean hummus dip with vegetables and a side kale salad. Don't get the hummus. It was not good. Sadly the hummus you buy at the grocery store is much better tasting. They also upcharged me for a side of veggies instead of the bread that came with the hummus. This side of veggies consisted of three carrots and three pieces of celery. This pathetic smattering of vegetables was not nearly enough vegetables to make a dent in the not very good hummus. My kale salad was mixed greens, but was otherwise fine. One of the people I came with ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, which was inedible. She could not bite through the cheese, which left us wondering if they left plastic wrap on the cheese slices. Seriously, how does a restaurant mess up grilled cheese?!?!

    My first trip to Tom's was for late night drinks and snacks with four other co-workers. We were seated alone, on the top floor in the corner, next to the waiter who was rolling silverware. The drink menu was average with only a few original in-house cocktails (the "Tom's Cup" - a variation on Pimm's Cup had the generic taste of fruity sugar) and neither of the beer mixed drinks were very good. On a positive note, the menu is enormous and offers something for everyone and the interior easily accommodates large parties.

    I hate leaving a restaurant feeling like I've been ripped off. Not only did I leave here feeling ripped off, but I was also still really hungry. All I could afford was a mac and cheese appetizer and a salad and my bill was $30. Additionally, our service was really slow. Our waitress was talking to other employees and on her phone when our water glasses were empty for half the meal. Wouldn't recommend this place, there are places downtown with much better food and service for half the price.

    If I had to describe this restaurant it would be like if Village Inn and Wolfgang Puck had a child this would be the result of their offspring Minimalistic Interior design almost a throwback to the 70s but that's not really why you go into these thing let's talk about the food I had Korean beef tacos at first glance I didn't think I was going to be full but looks can be deceiving not to mention the flavors they go to work in your mouth when you bite into it AWESOME and a large side of black beans and rice which made dessert not an option(maybe next time) And I forgot to talk about the appetizers which were blue cheese deviled eggs as we looked around they were a very popular item and after eating them I know why very very good my wife ordered avocado shrimp and as you can see from the pictures that I posted they came out looking wonderful being from the East Coast they did not disappoint on large shrimp which are fairly uncommon in landlocked Denver All in all for two people who are foodies my wife and I this is a welcome place to downtown because a lot of times at 12 in the morning we often get a craving for things but nothing is open down here ironically enough side note by the food passing me as we sat there recovering from our food coma the portions are distributed very healthy throughout the menu large hamburgers large burritos all passing by and I was wondering "God I wish I wasn't so full I would eat that"

    Too early to tell if this place is a keeper. I work Downtown and i am always on the lookout for something new. I had the corned beef hash. A little on the dry side. The service was great and the atmoshpere is cool. I will need to back a few more times and order some other things to see whats up.

    I was planning to go to the french place in the lodo, but I was very underdressed for the restaurant so I decided to settle for this place. I ordered the urban slopper, which was definitely worth it. However, I ordered a stella for 6 dollars? That's pricey but I realized that's Denver for you since they are the king of beers. Overall great place

    Excellent service. Great food. A very chilled atmosphere. I ordered the Steak a d Eggs and it was cooked perfectly. Also try the Jaded Mary which is a combo of cucumber vodka and tomatillo. Excellent breakfast drink. When you come in and sit at the bar hopefully either Ryan or Nelume serve you. They are very nice and personable.

    Tom's Urban is a Denny's with a nice location. I've been to Tom's Urban a couple times. Once for late night appetizers and drinks, once for breakfast. Appetizers were fine. Mac and Cheese, super tasty. Breakfast? Not good at all. In fact, gross. Breakfast burrito had no flavor, and the eggs were gross. How do you mess up eggs? Treehugger Benedict was really bad! Hollandaise sauce?! Really? It was more like that cheese sauce that comes on your nachos at 7 Eleven. I usually try a place three times before passing judgment, but this breakfast did it for me. I hope they improve the food to meet the standard of Larimer.

    I recently got to try Tom's Urban 24 for lunch with my downtown lunch buddy and we both thought it was good. We liked the space. The new owners completely transformed the old Samba Room so it was hardly recognizable. Now it is funky and light and relaxing - very modern. We were greeted and seated quickly, with friendly service. The menu is quite huge, and the 24 hour concept is a wonderful addition to downtown. Denver needs more late-night/early morning places. The food concept is very fusion, and Tom's does it pretty well. We tried the hosin duck pizza - and thought the flavors worked really well. I tried the taco trio (korean carnitas, sweet chile chicken, and adobo chicken - listed in order of preference) with the charro beans and rice. All were good (but I actually preferred the fusion flavor combinations over the traditional). However, I would go back to Tom's just for the charro beans and mexican rice. OMG - the flavor in the beans (there is lots o meat so vegetarians, I'm sorry) is amazing. Deep, smokey and so delicious. So, I know I'll be back. There's lots more to try and I'm looking forward to a late night meal there some future date night.

    My husband and I went there for breakfast this morning. We have recently moved to the neighborhood and have been here several times and the food is always very good. I ordered eggs Benedict today and the eggs were underdone even though I had requested medium. The waitress immediately offered to have them redone. I declined because I wanted to finish at the same time as my husband because we had plans and needed to get going. The manager came over shortly after and said she had heard my meal wasn't as I wanted it and she comped mine. The service was exemplary. I was very impressed by how well we were treated and the food has otherwise always been excellent. I am looking forward to going there for happy hour soon. I highly recommend Tom's Urban. Try it, you will love the food and the service will be fantastic.

    Had breakfast here on Christmas morning. Lucky for my family & the 30 other people eating here this morning Tom's was one of a few resturants open Christmas morning for breakfast. The service was excellent our omlettes cooked perfectly & the coffee was hot & our cups kept full. With that type of service 4 stars is warranted.

    Came here with a companion for brunch on a Saturday. Between us we ordered the Treehugger Benedict, Hash Browns, 5280 Margarita, and a Create-Your-Own Omelet. Service was fine, though the food was a bit slow to come out. The Benedict was very good, but somewhat pricey ($11). Overall, nothing spectacular. Won't be itching to return.

    My family and I dined at Tom's on a Tuesday night before seeing White Christmas at The Buell. I was happy to finally find a kid friendly restaurant close to the theater! We started with the Truffle Deviled Eggs and they were very good. I ordered the Fig and Cheese Flat Iron Sandwich and it was delicious! Hubby went with the Pork Carnitas, he liked it but said mine are better. Kids had pizza and they were very happy with it. Our son had his first loose tooth this day and our waiter was very helpful in finding things in the kitchen that were soft enough for him to eat. The best part of our meal was the end. Cobbler with salted carmel ice cream! I can't wait to return and try more of the menu items.

    Tom's Urban is a great addition to the Denver restaurant community. I am glad a 24 hour dining place like this has opened, however, I can only give it a solid 3 stars. Here's why? Pros: Food is good. (Not great...just good.) Its open 24 hrs. What more could we want? Cons: Service. Since this place is so new, the service is very much lacking. The staff doesn't seem to know the menu very well, nor are they properly trained. I have been to Tom's Urban about 4 times now. Every time, the service has been poor. The wait staff will either forget what you ordered, or just forget you period. One time I went in around 10pm and my entire table ordered coffee. Took a good 30 minutes just to get coffee. Unacceptable. I hope Tom's fixes these issues...fast!

    Went for breakfast. Atmosphere/decor was nice (although I was told they're renovating), waitress was great (Kayla maybe?) and the food was very good (I had the huge pumpkin pancakes). A little pricey for breakfast (I think it was close to $20 for breakfast for just me, with tip). Very good though.

    Perhaps the owner(s) visited CAFETERIA in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York and thought they could transplant it to Denver. While CAFETERIA's prices seem high, the food is excellent, the service is consistently awesome from the very unique staff -- who look super cool but don't dish attitude, the place is spectacularly unique. Tom's prices are high, food mediocre, staff is lacking HOSPITALITY 101, and the space looks like others in the area: nothing new here, nothing spectacular, and definitely nothing worth the parking hassle. Was searching reviews online and saw a bit done by Channel 7: Tom the owner founded Smashburger, invented the McGriddle for McDonald's, and spearheaded the Lover's Line for Pizza Hut. That could explain the over-reach in this place: they don't do anything particularly well, but they do a lot of things!

    Had a late night pit stop here hoping to fill ourselves up with delicious food in order to continue reveling... food was dangerously underwhelming. Though there were only a few other tables seated, our food took a long time to come out. The Taco Trio (korean carnitas, sweet chile chicken and adobo chicken) were terribly dry. So much so that I couldn't finish but half of one before my physiologic propensity towards hydration made me box the rest and chug two glasses of water. Flavor was also tepid. Wings as an appetizer were all right, seemed small. My fiance ordered a cheese burger (or something akin to that), medium well, came out quite pink i.e. more rare than he likes it. But after waiting so long for food, he didn't send it back. The plight of a drunken, hungry fools. * The first star is for the decor, fun, interesting. * The second star was for the staff service, friendly and as prompt with things as they could be. The kitchen might need to "chop, chop!" a bit. All in all, an underwhelming experience.

    If only Yelp had the option for zero stars... The service was unbelievably slow, and the server was inattentive and lackadaisical. Then there was the food... You'd think a burger would be pretty difficult to screw up. Yet, somehow they managed. I've had better fast food burgers. The drinks were weak and tasteless. The worst part of the whole experience? The price tag. Lunch for two and two drinks: $80. Steer clear!!

    Very trendy 24 hour diner. Some friends and I went here for 5280 week and it was very busy but the staff was pleasant. We each had the following: Angus Open Faced Meatloaf Platter, Blue Corn Crab Enchiladas and Tuscan White Bean Dip. By the time dessert came, there was no room to eat anything else and half of us (out of 4) had to take leftovers home. This wouldn't be my first choice but it's definitely a place to add into rotation.

    I went with a few friends this morning hoping for brunch, and although we were disappointed to find that breakfast wasn't served after 11 (even on the weekends?!), we opted to stay for lunch. Out of the group of 6, I think I was the most pleased with my food--the grilled cheese with fig jam. Everyone else's meals were just a little blah. I am baffled that a restaurant of this supposed caliber did not have a special sauce for their sweet potato fries. Despite how delicious they were, seeing ketchup was a turn off, and I'm glad I thought to ask our server for some additional fig jam for them--definitely the right choice! While the food was okay, and the space is beautiful, service was lacking--our server was a little MIA. Additionally, everything was definitely overpriced. I will gladly try back late-night, but I hope Tom's steps it up a bit.

    We had a great experience here. Found the decor to be classy but functional. Definitely casual, but with a modern feel. We had 3 servers (yes, we hung out for 5 hours), but this place has a hangout feel. The menu is huge, almost too much so, with a lot of choices. They are very creative and I'm hoping they limit the choices as they discover what works for their customers. We had the seasonal specials. Loved the crab quesadillas. Also, their mixed drinks are complex and full of unusual flavors.

    Went into this place for the 3rd time yesterday. (it usually takes a few visits for me to say anything unless it's REALLY horrible) The place is solid and pleasant, The food was pretty good and the service good. Note to the management: part of management is watching the performance of your employees. I see in some of these reviews bad marks against bartenders. Part of bar-tending is customer service. If your bartender lacks that essential skill, get rid of them. They are a liability. Other that i'd recommend the place and would be interested in seeing a menu expansion.

    An upscale diner with unique and interesting food combinations.....was great for a Sunday brunch on Father's Day! Excellent and unique food with good flavor combinations....good for any meal of the day or late night. A little overpriced.....maybe,but I can live with it. The service we had at the table was outstanding (thanks Riley) but the service from the hostess was a bit rude as if she was annoyed we were there when we requested a different table in an almost empty upstairs. Our table upstairs had a great view of Larimer (after asking for the change) as well as the upscale and energetic atmosphere below. The only real negative here was that they need to figure out their heating/cooling situation. At 9:30 in the morning it was already almost 80 degrees in the restaurant and it was explained that they can't keep the restaurant cool in the summer or warm in the winter. Gotta try the Larimer Mule! The service from the hostess stand, the temperature in the restaurant, and the slightly high prices kept this from being a 5-star review.

    Sadly had our first and last experience there last week. We'd made our way down to The Taste of Colorado and didn't want to snack our way poor, so we headed towards Larimer Square. When we walked into Toms, it was pretty empty for a Friday night - and the rest of the restaurants at the square were packed. We should have been clued in at that point. To make a long story short, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. When it arrived, it was a very dark brown unattractive color. When I stirred it, it seemed a bit gelatenous, and when I tasted it, well...it was completely COLD! I immediately put my spoon down and set it aside. When the waitress came by I told her about it and she asked me if I wanted another bowl or something else and I said no. Overall a disappointing experience. Hubbies food was ok at best. Something has got to change there and soon or I predict a closure in "Toms" future.

    The location is perfect! Right on the corner of Larimer and 15th. The fact that its open 24 hours is great, especially after a long night out in Lower Downtown. The decor is pretty hip. Unfortunately that's the best part of this place. I found the service to be slow and the food prices and the liquor are pretty steep! Also for a hip, upscale, diner you would expect some more comfort food options that are reasonably priced. Not here! The food isn't bad just expensive. So if you come bring your VISA card!

    Place is definitely a cool new spot in the middle of town or at least it looks cool. It's over priced diner food. You are paying for the decor. The restaurant was empty when we were there and it took about 45 mins to get our food after we ordered it. The drinks we ordered took about 15 mins. Just a couple of beers. There is nothing really bad about the food. It's diner food. Tasty and slow but not worth what they are charging. I'd give it 3 stars if not for the prices!

    So if you would have asked me last fall what I would rate this restaurant it would have have been more of a 4 than a 2. Since the first time I visited (which was in november) I have visited both early morning, afternoon, and at night, honestly you recieve such different types of service, but for the most part it isn't very good. (Plus they usually have so many people standing around...why would you staff that much? It looks quuite unprofessional. Many of the time the waiter comes up and tries to memorize my order half of the time they get it wrong. They usually have to come back and ask a few times what I ordered instead of maybe writing it down? Isn't that a better system. I have to say the food is AMAZING, but I have come in when there are maybe a few tables and I have waited about 30-40 minutes for eggs benedict. It really doesn't take that long, even if you do only have one chef on staff. Also as the months have gone by the gluten free options have gone down DRAMATICALLY. I mean I really can't eat here anymore. I have a gluten sensitivity, so I just replace the muffin or don't order the bun. But they used to have waaay more options. Overall: gluten free it is not, expect a wait, and a little unprofessional service, BUT food is great!

    This place is newer and a friend wanted to try it out so we went there for dinner. We sat at the bar because the hostess made it seem like the best idea. We didn't have an issue with that but once we sat down the bartended girl had the worse attitude and didn't seem like she had the time of day to take our order. She was more concerned about her friends that were sitting at the bar over helping us. She ended up leaving 30 minutes after we sat down which was good because the other bartender was more friendly and actually cared we were there. The first bartender seem to be more concerned about clocking out and going to sit at the bar with her friends. Which after she did clock out she goes and makes out with her girlfriend at the bar which I didn't think was appropriate or classy. Other than that the food was blah. Nothing special. I ordered the tacos, I had beef, pork and chicken and every taco soaked through the soft shell and when I picked them up they would tear. Rice was delicious though. But tacos were no fun.. With all that said I'm pretty certain I won't be back.

    Went here Valentine's late night, without a Valentine (womp womp). We had been hanging out at Nallen's Pub in LSquare and decided we needed some food. Had passed by this place a couple times so I was curious to see what else was available for the late night crowd other than the usual greasy spoon or pho places. Starting off, this place has NOTHING to do with Tom's Diner off Colfax. The dude who opened this place is the same mofo that brought you stuffed crust pizza and Smashburger. I like this dude who's able to say fuck the traditions, I'm gonna do what tastes good. I was really scared of a long ass wait time, but I guess weeknights aren't too busy for them (who knew?) and we got seated right away. Menu had a few things that jumped out at me (NY Strip and Eggs, Barbacoa Breakfast Burrito), but I opted for a light Bacon, Avocado and Cheese Omelette. Food came out at a decent time, waiter was a bit....inattentive. I have this little habit where I sometimes base my tip percentage on how often my drink is refilled to gauge on the scale of how important I am to a waitperson, and my drink was only refilled once. Maybe if I was dressed like a hipster I would have gotten better service? Seriously...wall-to-wall hipster d-bags complaining about how bad their cloves taste after sucking off a hobo in a prius. Okay back to the food...was tasty. I even like their jam though the bread could have definitely been better. I understand that you're going for the crunchiness of toast with some expensive pumpernickel bread, but I'm not a fan of eating something that could be used to practice karate chops with. So the verdict: it's a little higher class than the greasy spoons on Colfax, so you don't feel like you're dining with possibly homeless people, but on the flipside, you get to dine with people who dress like homeless people because they all shop at the same thrift store. Food was okay, wait staff could be more attentive especially for a slow night. If you're gonna have a smoke break, tell the host/ess not to seat anyone in your section for 5 minutes. tl;dr - okay alternative for late night, remember to wear skinny jeans and scarves. Lots and lots of scarves.

    It's unfathomable that this place only has 3 stars. For what they are trying to accomplish I think Tom's Urban 24 has hit the mark 100%. Great ambiance & atmosphere, a overwhelmingly fantastic menu, tasty and unique cocktails, and excellent service. My gf and I went here to meet a large (14+) group of her friends for dinner. We were early so grabbed a drink at the bar and were greeted by perhaps the best bartender in Denver. I wish I could remember his name.... Chris, Kevin? But I digress. He was an absolute chemist with the drinks, had a suggestion for every question from menu options to surrounding nightlife. He was so great that he just told us to tell our server our names for him when we ordered drinks with dinner and he would make a special drink for each of us based on what we told him our preferences were. He was even able to concoct a cocktail that my lady would actually drink from start to finish, no small feat, trust me as someone who has had to down many a terribly strong fruity cocktail after she abandoned ship. I enjoyed my original drink so much, Witty Fizz, a blend of Hoegaarden and Gin, that I ordered it twice and didn't need a "dealer's choice." When we sat down there was something on the menu for absolutely everyone and I didn't see one person complain about their meal. There was a hiccup or two getting all the food out but nothing out of the ordinary for a large group like that. When we were done our server split the checks quickly and with absolutely no eye-rolling or ho-humming. On top of that they didn't include the gratuity in the bill even though we were such a large table, which was a nice tough. All in all a fantastic experience, I can't wait to go again, especially at a different time of day.

    First and most important, our waiter was very nice and accommodating. That said the rest of the experience was awful. The whole menu was over priced and the drinks are average at best. The food tasted ok but definitely not worth the price or hassle endured. After waiting 20+ minutes for a round of cocktails, we ordered. 3 of us at the table ordered the tacos. I ordered mine without cilantro - seemed like a simple fix to not garnish with cilantro or the cilantro cream. Guess not. 7 out of the 8 meals were delivered, including mine with extra cilantro. The other taco meals were completely messed up and not at all what either of them ordered. The 8th meal was just missing all together. Eventually, mine and the 8th meal arrived while everyone else at the table was finishing theirs. The cilantro garnish was now mixed in with the rest of the taco filling. After pulling out the large pieces of cilantro, I took a bite of the first taco and saw 3 long hairs hanging out the back end. I didn't touch the others - who knows what they did to the other tacos for sending them back? Our waiter apologized profusely and spoke with his manager about comping my meal. We received the bill and there was a $3 discount. That discount was more of a slap in the face than the whole experience. The manager was constantly standing near our table talking to the waiter but never came over to apologize for the mix ups, slow service or general miscommunication with the kitchen. I've worked in restaurants most of my adult life and have never seen such incompetence and blatant disregard for customers by a manager. So disappointing.

    I'm editing my three-star review after stopping at Tom's Urban 24 a few more times. I really wanted to like this place, but it is just a bad restaurant. The place has consistently left me feeling very, very ripped off. The first time I went here, I got the black bean burger. It is significantly overpriced, but I actually thought it was very good. So I got excited about this place and unfortunately, gave it way too many chances. Every meal I've had since has been mediocre at best, and often terrible. I decided to try their breakfast burrito one day, and it was complete slop. I'd rather have eaten a breakfast burrito from any other place downtown, and it would probably be half the price. Their other breakfast items have always been very disappointing, even compared to normal diners like Pete's Kitchen and Tom's Diner on Colfax. On over HALF the occasions, my food has been poorly prepared. Last time I went I got the black bean burger again, since I knew I'd like it. It was burned to a crisp! I couldn't even eat it. Today I got the Eggs Benedict and the entire bottom of the English Muffins were completely burned. You know, it's just not good food. I am never going again. I may finish this review later, but if I don't, just know that it's extremely overpriced, the service is usually poor, and oftentimes the food isn't even good anyway.

    We came for the food; a little late for a Monday, Walked in and the place was empty. Our bartender greeted us, but after we said we weren't drinking, she seemed uninterested in our business, which didn't make any sense because Tom's urban is a 24 diner with a bar... Not a bar that serves food. My friends wanted to eat, after a dew drinks downtown. I think service should be the same with any customer, it was just bad, we put our order in, and asked for waters, some how only hit one? There were 3 of us? All the servers seemed to be having a good time, but we felt ignored, and Unwanted. I usually leave a good tip because I manage servers and know how hard they work, sometimes for nothing! I'm even reluctant to leave a negative review on yelp. But this being the third time in a month that I had mediocre service. We go for the food... The food is always good, diner food from scratch. We went for the "pop tarts" made daily, sold until they're gone! So order them when you can; the peanut butter and jelly pop tart is pretty epic! Convenient place to grab some decent diner food, Stay away from the bar the. Servers are always in better spirits

    OK Tom's, you've been open for over a month now - it's time to step up your game. I will start by saying that I love this concept. Downtown Denver was in desperate need of a 24-hour hot spot with decent food and drinks, and this location/space is great. Things that aren't great? The food, for one. The salads are small, overpriced and seriously un-special. The sandwiches are greasy, bland and incredibly un-memorable. The tacos are alright if you're into cheap corn tortillas that mask the flavor of the fillings, and lots of deep fried fat. The green chili is actually quite good, so I recommend ordering a side of that to go to spice up any of the other menu options. Also not great? The service. Lots of first time servers in the house (at least I hope that's their excuse!) Lunch for a group will take anywhere from 1-3 hours. Add drinks to the mix and you're looking at 2-4. Orders are entered incorrectly (or not entered at all), food is delivered to the wrong table, everything comes out at different times (seriously, half the table was done eating before the other half received food on BOTH visits), and bills are somehow calculated incorrectly. I could go on and on about other issues I have experienced, but the bottom line is - this place needs to pull it together or they aren't going to make it. C'mon, Tom's!

    Multiple things went wrong.. Service We had reservations for 6 at 12:30. Arrived on time with our party, The place was 10% occupied and we were told we couldn't be seated for another 15 minutes because they were back up. We asked if it would be alright to sit and order drinks until kitchen was ready and we were told we still had to wait outside. Now the food The urban bloody was bit too watery .. My friend ordered the pho and said it was tasted horrible and was luke warm. The Cuban was really weak as far as sandwiches go. My adobe chicken burrito Christmas style was good and would recommend. To the chefs credit, the Poppyseed pancakes were delicious and would recommend. My friend that ordered the omelet said is was very fresh ! Food over all in exception to pho was good but service really made the dining experience a one time occurrence. (to Tom) The Waiter. I forgot his name but he was about 5'7 and wore glasses with black short hair. He was pretty horrible from the get go. He arrived at the table and had asked the table why we did not have glasses of water. Apparently he had poured Waters for the table but one of the busser had picked them up thinking they were from a previous party. The waiters obvious ill temper toward what occurred made a very awkward first impression. He was not very present though out the meal and everyone was at one point or another waiting to ask for something, i.e refill, another drink order, condiment. I can understand that the place just opened and the efficiency of the staff/kitchen may be sub par, but there is no exception for showing a bad attitude when your working in the service industry. When we returned the bill to the waiter with 4 credit cars and cash, then instructed the different charges for cards, he pouted and gave the obvious message that he was annoyed that the table would request separate credit charges for what each of us ordered. Fair request when their was a party of 6 and some of us ordered alcohol and multiple plates. Tom, if you read your reviews, good luck , i will give your place another try but will wait for a few weeks to give you time to straighten out your staff..

    Always impressed with the food and the friendly wait-staff. The best burger I've ever had was served to me here. Really delicious cocktails like Bloody Marys Although this place really isn't within my price range, and I find some of their items (like mac and cheese) overpriced, I would highly recommend this place as a late-night diner spot.

    Stopped in for lunch on a Sat. (Mar. 16) & ordered Korean BBQ Chicken sandwich; other diner w/ me ordered 3 tacos: barbacoa,carnitas, & Korean BBQ chicken. Wow! We agreed everything was very tasty, full of flavor, & satisfying. Our server was friendly & attentive & manager stopped by table to welcome us as well. Great eatery with vibrant vibe! Great selection of drinks as well.

    I've walked by the place ever since it opened and kept telling myself to check it out. Today was the day, since I just found out the Cafe Berlin closed. As always, when dining by myself, I sat at the bar. Some fellas from Michigan were recovering from their previous night of partying, and started to have fun with me. Yep, keep trying you silly wolverines! Anyway, Jones the bartender was very friendly and offered great advice when I asked what her preference would be for lunch. She was very attentive and the manager (I think) was very pleasant. I ordered the carnitas cuban sammie with 1/2,1/2 of both types of fries. Delish! It did seem to take a while to get the food, or maybe I was just impatient. Overall, great experience and great food.

    Larimer square is not just another pretty face. There are some incredible eateries behind those beautiful doors. Tom's Urban is a nice addition. The food is not bad. The atmosphere is not bad. The wait staff is not bad (they did turn a table upside down in the middle of the dining room, I appreciate trying to fix a wabbly table but couldn't a couple of sugar packets tied you over until after business hours?). What I liked most is Tom's Urban knows exactly who he is, not trying to hard. A night out for drinks and crab enchiladas, it's not bad.

    Nice addition to Denver's dining scene - especially for the late-night crowd. Great location on Larmier square. Found the menu a bit expansive, but the food I chose was good. Margherita pizza was tasty with fresh basil, and green chile black bean burger was yum! I greatly appreciate their commitment to sourcing local food and look forward to watching them grow.

    I can't speak for the food, because I never make it that far. I come for the hand-crafted cocktails. We ended up staying here for the night instead of our original plans, because the bartender/ mixologist, was so damn entertaining! If you are lucky enough to sit at his bar, take a deep breath and prepare for the ride.... it's about to get fun!

    2nd time here. The food is way better than the 1st time (the green Chile burrito is warm and flavorful). Service is TERRIBLE. There's 7 open tables & people crowding the dining room waiting to sit. The servers don't even refill water without asking. Work on the service & this place could be great!

    I expected a lot more from an establishment on Larimer street. I wanted to like it since the concept seems cool and the location is prime, but I was left sorely disappointed. I'll keep this brief, but among the runny whites in the poached eggs in the Tree Hugger benedict, severely overcooked burgers (that tasted as if they were previously frozen), eyelash in the aioli, server dropping garbage into my coffee, and overall unappetizing menu items, I certainly won't be returning. I gave one star because A., you can't leave zero stars, but also because the staff was in general pretty friendly.

    We recently had a late breakfast and lunch. Stephanie was delightful and provided outstanding service. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. I love going to a place that serves breakfast later in the day. I've been back twice since and have received great food and service on each occasion.

    Food was ok but not great. We were excited about the concept but overall were disappointed. There were lots of little things - none of the food was a home run - just lots of "That was ok". Service was pretty weak. The worst experience was when I ordered a beer and it came out in a half full glass. Turns out they serve that particular beer comes in a smaller serving size (which itself odd b/c I just had that beer at Lucky Pie a week before in a normal sized serving). But even weirder was that they don't tell the customers (neither server nor menu) and they don't serve the beer in a smaller glass. You just get a half full glass of beer. So - I asked to have the glass filled. But then the server just acts like you're an idiot - but gives you some more beer in a different glass b/c "the bar tender doesn't want to have a fight." So - it's not the worst place I've ever eaten - but with so many great places to eat in Denver and on Larimer Street - why bother with this place?

    Not impressed with much at Tom's other than the decor and interior which is very interesting. Got the Veggie Pho which was served luke warm. The broth had NO flavor. No salt, it was like watered down vegetable stock, Broth is the most important compontent of good pho! the vegetables were lacking, some carrots, red cabbage, cilantro, jalapenos, sprouts and cilantro, not enough to make the broth taste good. Plus no chop sticks... Eating pho with a fork and spoon is challenging. Boyfriend ordered Carnitas Cuban which he said was dry... Dry carnitas... Ugh. Milkshake was good. Lunch was not worth $31.00 though.. Rip off for crappy food..

    Our waitress seemed annoyed that we were 1. tourists and 2. not eating. After seeing the food and the prices, we elected for drinks and food somewhere else. Our waitress was not very helpful with the drink/beer selection and sold us a $26 bottle of beer. Would not recommend as a "must hit spot" in Denver if you're traveling for the weekend.

    Wow. We had an amazing experience at Tom's last night. Our party of 8 was seated quickly. Our appetizers of Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Colorado Calamari, and Tuscan White Bean Dip were incredible. Seriously, I could have eaten the Brussels Sprouts all night long. Absolutely delicious. Then came the entree - I went with one of Tom's Favorites: Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger. Deliciousness on a plate. A quarter of the burger would have been enough to satisfy my hunger, but it was so good that I couldn't stop eating until every bit was gone. The Larimer Mule (a grown-up version of a lemonade) did it's job in quenching my thirst. Everyone in our party was very happy with their meals. The service was great: the food was served quickly, and the staff checked on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to the next time (I'll save room for dessert).

    I was pleased with my experience at Tom's, and am pretty taken aback by the number of very poor reviews. I don't think they are indicative of the experience I had at all. My friend and I sat at the bar for drinks and mac and cheese. We told the bartender what we liked, and he made us the most beautiful, creative, delicious drinks-- I was amazed. They were also reasonably priced considering how complex they were, ~$7. The green chile carnitas mac and cheese was AMAZING. I will say service is more relaxed, they're not all over you like some places, but I appreciated that I didn't feel rushed and was able to relax and enjoy the food and drink with my friend.

    Honestly, not good, I expected more from a place on 15th and Larimer. Was looking forward to it, the menu looked creative. But the food was poorly executed and the staff was down right bizarre. We made a reservation and they couldn't find it. I had the confirmation on my phone. Showed it to the hostess to which she just shrugged. I can live with mix ups, it happens, but not the bad food. I've had better at Denny's. Seriously. With all the competition down there you think they'd make an effort.

    Wasn't impressed. The barbacoa breakfast burrito was recommended and it was far from flavorful. I also requested no geen onions and it arrived with the scallions on it. I am shocked by how many people don't know they are the same. Gave the green chili side to the homeless. May or may not return.

    I had high hopes about eating here. I went for a work lunch on a Friday. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a strong smell. To me it smelled like mildew, or that dive bar smell after a busy night. I had already previewed the menu so I had an idea of what I wanted. I ordered the Filet Mignon salad and a few of us ordered beers and then a pitcher of the Tricky Rickey. It was not very busy, not even sure we needed a reservation for the seven of us. Our beers sat at the bar for a few minutes. Still not used to the smell yet. We finally got our beers and one was forgotten, so we reminded our server. We had to send the Tricky Rickey pitcher back because it was way too tart. They offered to improve it, which they did, but it was still very tart, we passed the drinks around the table throughout the meal and still couldn't finish the pitcher. The Food: my salad looked dry, so I immediately ordered an extra side of dressing. I then noticed there was some dressing on the bottom of the plate. Yeah, that helps. The salad was good, but nothing to brag about. They didn't even ask me how I wanted my filet mignon cooked, so naturally it was well done. Not a way I would EVER order filet, or any cut of beef for that matter. I actually began to fill sick toward the end of the meal. I am pretty sure that gross smell wasn't helping at all. If people are raving about it like my co-worker said, they must have been eating here at 2:00 a.m. when anything tastes good. Their menu looks delicious, but the smell kills it and in person it is not

    I came here for dinner and had a great experience! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. I had the Ginger Chicken salad which was scrumptious, complete with artistic and colorful presentation. The pop tart sundae was amazing as well! Tom came by our table to welcome us and make sure we were taken care of. I'll definitely come back!

    No room the bar so we got a table. Limited choices on rum and vodka, they don't have a drink menu either. Slow waitress with a bad attitude. She also quoted a wrong price on a friends glass of wine and when the bill came it was suddenly $4 more, she would not honor the price quoted saying it was her mistake but she couldn't change it. And she was pretty rude about this. Won't be back. Bad service is killer for a business and will make or break you.

    Great new addition to Larimer Square. Quality atmosphere, and tasty food with locally sourced ingredients. Went during a busy Friday lunch and the food was speedy and good, so it looks like they have worked out some of the kinks. Waiter was friendly, and the rest of the staff was attentive. They also have Crazy Mountain Beer, which was the first time I have seen it in Denver. Also one of the few spots open by 7:00 on the weekends, so I'll have to check it out for breakfast.

    I had the fig jam and cheese sandwich, and it was the best grilled cheese sammy I've ever had in my life. It was also served with sweet potato waffle fries, which is a huge favorite of mine. We ordered a donut sundae with Captain Crunch on top for dessert, and while the court is still out on how much we liked it, we appreciated the new food idea and were curious to try it. It's pretty noisy in there as the room has no buffer to absorb the conversations and instead it just bounces them around, but the atmosphere is very retro and I suppose you don't really go here to have an intimate dining experience anyway. All in all, the food was fantastic, the ambience is relaxed and fun, the service was attentive, and the menu is fascinating. I can't wait to go back for more! (They'll probably get sick of seeing me there...)

    I was extremely disappointed when I came here for the first time. I had high expectations since it was in a great location and looked like a great atmosphere but nooope. I def won't be coming back. My boyfriend and I came here on New Years Eve, it was insanely late but we figured it would be fine since this place is a 24 hour diner. We walk in, the place is about 60% full. The host tells us we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table (even though I counted 6 open tables in the restaurant). We finally sit down, and 20 minutes went by and we still were not greeted by a server. My boyfriend asked the host if anyone was aware that we had sat down, and he said someone would be over. Waited another ten more minutes and still no one came over. Then my boyfriend walked to the bar to get us a couple waters while we were waiting....and the bartender said they couldn't give us water! Ummm, ok? Then our server finally shows up. Tells us that the reason she didn't come by earlier was because she saw us talking to some friends and didn't want to interrupt (keep in mind, we only talked to our friends for literally 1 min). We asked her for water. That took another ten min. She was no where to be seen and we asked the host why the service was so slow when they weren't even that busy. I saw a lot of the staff just hanging out behind the bar or walking around and chatting all over the place, but after 30 min, none of them thought it was important to take our order. Worst service ever. After that we just walked out. In simple terms, this place just flat out sucked.

    This new diner-ish establishment beckoned to me with the bright and energetic decor you can see from the corner of 15th & Larimer. The close quarters of the adorable half-moon booths mixed in with the spattering of 4 tops creates a bustling energy in the place that is enhanced by the friendly smiles of the staff. The bar area is as inviting as the cocktail menu, which I'll be back to sample. Likewise, the late night offerings should do very well and it will be a fantastic option after a Comedy Works or theater show. As with any new restaurant, there are some tweaks to be made here. The menu is slightly overpriced for lunch, but I guess they'll get takers with this prime location. Working downtown and eating lunch out frequently, I try to keep my lunches around $10 - which is difficult to do at Tom's Urban 24. The menu itself is impressive though, with great variety and creativity. I look forward to going back to try the breakfast and late-night selections as well. For this visit my lunch party arrived just before 11:30 and we were seated immediately at a booth in the center of the floor downstairs. (Good thing they have upstairs seating as well, since there is limited capacity downstairs and I can see this place having a decent wait during most meal rush times.) At my table we ordered the MARGHERITA pizza, the GRILLED FIG JAM & CHEESE, the TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER and RICK'S REUBEN. Mixed reviews on the food. The Reuben was not good at all with too-fatty, thick sliced corned beef. Grilled cheese was delightful if not a little too sweet. The pizza was underwhelming and more of a flat bread than pizza. It lacked flavor and was small for the price. Their burger patties are mixed with butter....which makes for a very juicy and flavorful burger even when cooked well done. I thought the brioche bun was light and perfect for the dense, juicy burger. But my table mates thought the bun was too big for the burger. The sweet potato waffle fries were tasty, but arrived on the cold side. The hand-cut fries were initially over salted.. but when a manager overheard my friend say so he immediately brought a fresh order of less salty fries to our table. Major bonus points for that level of attentiveness. Overall, I feel that the portions and quality of food don't justify the higher prices. But I would definitely come back to try the breakfast and late night menus. With their location, I'll be curious to see if they can hold a solid lunch time crowd after the novelty wears off. They may have to offer better lunch specials down the road to keep the crowds coming.

    Visited Tom's Urban 24 for the first time just before noon on a Sunday. I'll return! Decor is contemporary/retro, similar to Snooze. Attentive server. Food was very good; had the 4 eggs omelettes: GOAT CHEESE, SPINACH & TOMATO and CHORIZO & GREEN CHILE. Tom's serves Wolferman's, a deluxe brand of English muffins. Restaurant was out of whole milk, only skim milk available. Come'on, run to grocery; can't be out of milk at Noon on a Sunday of a 24 hour restaurant. Broncos game was on in the bar so the sound system throughout the restaurant had TV audio, not good. Would be better with music. I like knowing there's a really good any-hour restaurant in downtown Denver.

    I had such high hopes for this place; however, I was sadly disappointed. After being seated and waiting 10 minutes, we finally had a waiter stop by and ask "Oh, has no one helped you yet?" This event set the tone for the rest of the experience. Whether it was the 15 minute wait it took to finally get our drinks or the 3 visit from our server over the hour we spent through the meal, the service was incredibly slow. You can spend the same amount of money many other places in Larimer Square and receive much better service

    Soon to become one of my favorite spots in town, Tom's Urban 24 is a refreshing new addition to Larimer Square. It isn't a steakhouse, ethnic food haven, new age American fusion place, or like anything else we have around here.Tom's is simply good food served in an upbeat and fun atmosphere by a staff who is courteous, educated, and welcoming. Located where the tired Samba Room used to be on the corner of Larimer St. and 15th, Tom's fun, neon-lit exterior welcomes patrons into its open, airy dining space. The space is much larger than it initially appears with its second story loft-like seating area. The bar is comfortable with ample seating next to the window and they make a great Moscow Mule, or "Larimer Mule", as we dubbed it tonight served in the traditional copper mugs (obviously!) The circular striped cream and colored booths give the entire place a funky retro feel but is also refined. This reflects the menu as well-a mixture of down home cookin' favorites with a sophisticated twist. Starting with the appetizers, I went straight for the truffle deviled eggs. To die for. There are some pretty famous caviar deviled eggs that I am partial to on Larimer St. but Tom's blows these out of the water. I also loved the duck wings. Back to what I mentioned earlier about twisting tradition, this dish is a perfect example. Instead of the classic spicy chicken wing (which they have as well!) these duck wings (4 in an order) come slathered in hoisin sauce and falling off the bone. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. I have been told to try the duck pizza next time, I will put it on my list. Moving to the main course, there are so many options to choose from, especially when you come in thinking that Tom's is merely a "diner", you will be sorely mistaken my friend. Tom's offers everything from pho, to salads, pizzas, burgers, chicken sandwiches, meatloaf, mac and cheese, tacos, and more ( I am sure I am missing at least one category of the menu!). This is a restaurant where there is truly something for everyone. For your Southern folks they even have a Colorado Brown, a local version of the famed Kentucky Brown. What I appreciate most is, like the restaurant's decor, the food doesn't try to be something it's not. In reality the menu is pretty straightforward, in a user friendly way, but there is always a sucker punch in each dish. Take the Korean BBQ sandwich. Instead of the traditional pork, it is done with chicken, and with a refreshing dose of Siracha that will wake up your sinuses for days! Did I also mention that Tom's serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND late night bites? This place is going to be loved by someone every minute of every day as it's open 24 hours. FINALLY a 24 hour place downtown! Dessert at Tom's is fun, simple, and makes you feel like a kid. Your options are doughnuts or (wait for it) pop-tarts. Yes you read correctly, Tom's makes their own pop-tarts, and they taste nothing like something you find in a cardboard box. A whimsical ending to a delicious and creative meal, if you leave enough room for it that is! The owner, Tom, is much like his restaurant: genuine, jovial, and unpretentious. In a world filled with egotistical chef driven restaurants, Tom and his diner are a true breath of fresh air for Larimer, Denver, and the Colorado restaurant scene. I cannot wait to go back and have at least one of each meal at Tom's. Another fun fact, there are TVs in the bathroom mirrors. Now that is just plain cool. This place is somewhere you can take a date, have a fun family dinner, grab drinks, or just get a quick lunch. The price is right as well, especially for Larimer Square. Move over Troy Guard, Frank Bonanno, Beth and Jennifer, and Richard Sandoval; there's a new kid in town and he's bound to make a lot of friends.

    My boyfriend and I went here last night for some "breakfast for dinner" and it really hit the spot for me. We went in and it was pretty slow...but, steady. So, I'm not sure why it took about 15 minutes for a server to come to us, but, I work in the restaurant industry and I can forgive that. Plus, our waiter was really sweet and attentive when he finally came around! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their menu (a little something for all of your cravings...even Pho) and, for some reason, I really trust that everything is delicious. I decided to order the 'Urban Cowboy Egg Bake' and subbed the red chili for their green chili. The pork carnitas were SOOOOO GOOOOOD. Perfect choice for me and it really got rid of my breakfast craving. I got the wheat toast and it was AMAZING as I am a sucker for good bread. Other pros: super cute decor, breakfast all day, Coke products, good coffee, boyfriend got a ridiculously delicious mixed drink, and not crazy expensive Cons: slow service, cold the entire time, and the floor was extra dirty (just saying!) All in all, I loved this place! I can't wait to go back and try their other non-breakfast dishes! Oh, and did I mention they have handmade Pop-tarts?!?! Yummerzzz! Next time, I'll wear a sweater and sit far away from the windows!

    A few girlfriends and I came here for dinner on Friday night. I had researched around Yelp that day and decided this place looked pretty amazing, although was a little bit wary due to the claims of bad service. I booked a reservation on open table (I LOVE that this option is available!!) since I figured it would be very busy, being that it's a new restaurant and it was Friday night... The reservation seemed to be very necessary and we had a comfy half moon booth waiting for us when we arrived. Vanessa was our waitress and she was absolutely fantastic, completely blowing the claim of terrible service out of the water. I think anyone who has had bad service here should give it another try, because the whole staff appeared to be running like a well-oiled machine last night. We each got a cocktail. Julia D go the Urban Marmalade, Cathy R got the Tricky Rickey, and I got the Tomm's Cup. We all LOVED our cocktails, and loved the unique ingredients they used. We started the food with an order of the asian glazed duck wings. Perfectly crispy and with just enough sauce. They also came with a very tasty asian slaw. Altogether a really good starter. For dinner, Julia D ordered the meatloaf, Cathy R got the avocado sob, and I got the truffle mushroom swiss burger. We all sampled each other's food because it all looked SO amazing, and it all tasted just as great. The sweet potato waffle fries were especially great! The green beans that came with Julia D's meatloaf came with a spicy tomato-ey sauce that was really interesting and delicious. This restaurant is a really great addition to downtown. I'm sure they will make a killing on the weekends around bar closing time! If you've had a bad experience, I urge you to try again because I loved this place!

    No I do not think so. Not for me. Steak salad was a huge sloppy pile of lettuce, with three pieces of cold beef. If there was avocado, it was hiding. The remaining ingredients were to left to my imagination. There has to be balance in a good salad. It was bland and boring. Bland also applies to the ambiance. Filthy dirty vent in the ceiling and cobwebs. Way...way too bright. I was so hungry at the end of the meal, I wanted desert. Bad show when the waitress is ill informed. Rattles of the options, five seconds later, comes back with apologies. Out of this, out of that. The menu was well written but fails to follow through on the descriptions. Prime location for a restaurant. But not for Tom's. Not worth a second chance based on the meals my friends ordered.

    I'm being a nice guy here with a 3 star review because I know they're new. I went here after seeing a show at DPAC and it was in the neighborhood and was something new. While it was really busy at 9-something, we were able to get a seat right away. Their menu is overwhelming, but it's completely unnecessary because only 2 pages actually apply to you. You get this huge menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night, but you can only order off of one of the 4, so 3/4 of the menu is irrelevant to you when you go in, but our server didn't tell us that. The app we got was bacon bourbon popcorn and it was terrible - cold and chewy - it was taken back, but the service aspect of how it was done was no bueno. I got their 3-taco deal, well I shouldn't say deal because $12 for 3 small tacos is no deal. They were good, not great, and not worth $4 each, but they were good. The ones I got were (in order of preference) Sweet Chile Chicken, Korean Carnitas, and Adobo Chicken. Like most new places, wait a month or two for them to work kinks out, for them to figure out which servers really belong, then go give it a try.

    This review is just for their weekday happy hour, which is great! All the drinks and a huge chunk of the food is 1/2 off, and delicious. 6 of us came in, it wasn't that busy so we were seated right away. Our server was great, she asked what brought us out and I told her it was my Birthday, and she offered me a free dessert! We each had at least 2 drinks and I got a little berry pie thing which was tasty, and the bill was under 40 bucks. All and all a great place for drinks!

    Awesome breakfast with friends a few weeks ago. I made a reservation on Open Table but it was quiet when we arrived at 9:30. The hostess said it's hit or miss so a reservation isn't a bad idea for a Sunday morning. (And, yay, unlike Snooze or others they take reservations.) Food was great--fun menu and I was able to navigate my allergies with minimal effort. Will definitely be back.

    If you are chasing a weekday hangover and want a solid breakfast with a little hair of the dog: Tom's Urban 24 exceeds all expectations. In nearly every other category this neat Denver urban dinner struggles. As Tom's Urban 24 claims to fame as a 24 hour classy diner... conceptually this is cool and fits a wonderful niche I never knew I wanted, but it loses out via small poor life choices such as they dont serve a full breakfast menu all 24 hours, the prices compete with the establishments nearby in Larimer Square and seating is tight and crammed. Despite prices being generously too high and the above, I still will toss Tom's a 4-star because their waitstaff and management are some classy MoFo's. Working a busy downtown joint is a pain in the ass and you would never know it. Even at the place's busiest on NYE they kept up with drinks, took orders and usually had some sort of cocain induced smile that could bring cheer to the table. (Though the host brodude was rather stuckup... but that's why probably why brodude host was just a host). The menu has a variety of breakfast burritos, skillets and other expected brunch plates mixed up with a handful of over the top 'the-head-chef-wants-to-get-fancy'. I've always stuck with the scrambles and bfast burritos. Everything I had tastes good, but sometimes the check gives it an bitter aftertaste of regret. Drinks! Good taps, good pours, bad prices. Also likes to mix in a bit of over the top cocktails which are fun and fits the area but ... you are a diner right? I have tried the 'WTF" out of curiosity because who in their ape shit mind would mix coors light and red wine with some other fancy things. Smelled like a booty call tasted like a prom date (no really you should name the drink that). One major gripe I share is WHY DID YOU GET RID OF THE HOUSEMADE POPTARTS!? Are you serious!? BRING EM BACK! All our Denver brunch joints have their signature pastry Jelly rocks the Do'holes, Snooze brings sexy back with those pancakes and Tom's had it real with home made POPTARTS... its like you killed a breakfast puppy on christmas morning! I figure Tom's Urban 24 would have benefited from NOT being folded into the glitz and glamor of Larimer Square and could have killed it in a more 'urban' location in DenCO. The diner is worth a brunch visit but maybe check other ventures for lunch and supper. (specially if you have a group larger then 6 very little room for a decent sized party)

    I has been keen to try since they opened earlier this week. It is just a great location and great concept. The decor is pretty cool, it seems they took cues from Snooze with similar booths and color scheme. The place was buzzing on Friday night but not too crowded The menu is massive with different options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and 10pm to 5 am. There is a huge drinks menu too with about 10 beers on draft, cocktails and more. My husband had a chicken bacon avocado sandwich with fries which was good. I had the chicken Korean BBQ sandwich that was awesome on a nice buttery bun with a big piece of chicken and just the right amount of veggies and sauce with fries. Each of the sandwiches were about 11 dollars each. The service was friendly and prompt.

    Tom's has some five-star food. And definitely five-star operating hours. Get a burger. Excellent beef, perfect roll (buttered and grilled). And surprisingly huge. I'm partial to the green chile, but any burger will do. It'd be nice to see more shareable plates on the late night/lunch menu. And prices could be a buck or two lower. But the things that Tom's does are done really well.

    We came in for brunch on a Sunday morning. It's just okay. The mimosa's are not bottomless (and pretty small for $6/ea.), I had the benedict - the eggs weren't poached. While it wasn't awful, there are so many better choices to be had in Denver. I don't see any reason to come here again.

    Went there this morning for Mother's Day breakfast. I had the Lemon Poppy seed pancakes and they were delish. Loved their hot chocolate. My husband had there goat cheese spinach and tomatoes omelet and he was done with his breakfast before you can ask him if he loved it. My kiddos enjoyed there breakfast as well. My oldest had oatmeal and the youngest had some pancakes which she devoured. We will be returning soon when the weather gets better. Customer service was ok but only a select few moms got roses for mothers day. It seemed my waiter missed the mark on that.

    Popped into Denver for a weekend concert at Red Rocks - wandering streets very hungry and found Tom's Urban - had a great omelet with Avocado and cheese and wife as always had Eggs Benedict. Both were every tasty. The service was good and we made it through day because - we had a great breakfast at Tom's!

    Came for happy hour with a large group and they were more then accommodating. Everyone was rowdy and loud, ordering tons of food and drinks and the server was a pro. I would have been more then annoyed if it was me but he took it in stride. The happy hour drinks are half off all drinks including their specialty cocktails (yum!). All the apps and pizzas are half priced too. The mac and cheese is to die for, which says a lot because good mac and cheese is hard to find. It was so good we ended up ordering seconds! Everyone was really happy with their food and sufficiently buzzed. I don't think I would go for dinner but it's a five star happy hour for sure.

    I wanted to like Tom's Urban 24 much more than I actually did. I was really excited to try the Colorado Calamari. It came to the table and it was more like a bowl of jalapeño slices with a few pieces of calamari mixed in. Okay. I get it. We're a land locked state. Seafood is expensive. But, at least i got my appetizer. My fiancé ordered some of the sweet potato waffle fries and they never came. (Until we mentioned them at the end of our meal.) Entrees came. Fiancé's tacos were fine. My Five Points Club chicken sandwich was missing something...cheese and mayonnaise. The server told me she had them leave it off because my fiancé had requested no cheese on his tacos and mentioned he was allergic to milk. So, first of all, mayo doesn't even have dairy in it, and secondly, what century am I in? My dining partner's request of no cheese doesn't/shouldn't automatically extend to my entree! I even totally understand if, when I ordered, she had said something like "so cheese is good for you?" Or something. Anything but just leaving it all off without asking. Mood and feel of restaurant is okay. A bit fancier than I'd expect from a place calling themselves a diner, but it was nice. The food taste and quality was good but nothing I cant get anywhere else. Most of the other Yelp reviews and their Facebook page are full of complaints about service and wait time, so I hope they take note and start to improve. I look forward to visiting again and being able to rewrite my review with a better experience.

    I have visited here a couple times and it is great. Reasonably priced for downtown, with a nice menu and a really great happy hour. The service has been outstanding also which really seals the deal for me. The brussel sprout appetizer is very good as well as the fig and cheese sandwich!

    Short version: this place is awesome. great service. great food and drinks for the price point. Flew into town late on the hunt for a good burger and some bourbon. Mexican place down the street was closed and got sent to this "open 24 hours" place. Ordered a "wtf ;)" which is bourbon, coors light, red wine, orange juice, and simple syrup. Sounds gross. It's awesome just wish they poured more. Ordered the burger with mushrooms spinach Swiss and truffle aioli. Excellent with the fries and augmented ketchup. Finally service was great. Attentive knowledgable and took the time to tell us about local live music spots.

    I've been to Tom's 3 times now. The first two times I've had decent experiences but tonight was a disaster. My wife and I stopped in after the Broncos game and were told that there was a 20 minute wait. We decided that Tom's was worth it. What we noticed was that half of the tables in the place were unoccupied and yet we waited. We should have left at that point, as they were obviously understaffed. Instead we waited for about 40 minutes before being seated. We both ordered soup. The soup took another 40 minutes to come out. Soup... 40 minutes... We were trying to cancel our orders but could find no one. By the time it came out we weren't in the mood for eating and told our server so. She "took a little off" of our tab since we didn't touch our food and just wanted to leave. We ended up paying $12 for two cokes. We won't be back.

    Whenever I drive by Toms on Saturdays I see people waiting outside so I never stop in because I hate to wait more than 15 minutes to be sat. So I decided to make a reservation. When I showed up I saw people standing outside. It turns out the restaurant wasn't full and I didn't need the reservation. I wish I would have just stopped in before because this place is great. I had the Tom's All American Burrito. It was delicious. The tortilla was hard and tough to cut through. Once I cut through it the burrito fell apart. Regardless, great taste and great presentation. The green chili on the side was very tasty. I'll pour it over the top next time. The buttermilk pancakes are awesome. My friend had the steak and eggs. We're both really picky about steak. He said it was a good cut of meat. The service was good and very friendly. Nice decor and very bright and open set up. I'll be back next Saturday. I'm going to try something new and if all goes well I'll rate at 5 stars.

    The feel of this restaurant is very casual and, well, urban! You see a lot of business meetings go on here around noon as well. The food is good. My personal favorites are the grilled cheese and fig sand which, and the street tacos! I do not care for the side salad, unless you like your salad drowned in Olive Garden like dressing.

    Eh. They did a great job with the decor of this restaurant. The food was okay, nothing really wow about it. It took a long time to get our brunch out... the plates were hot, but not the food. It seems like the service staff needed a little bit more training or their FOH training program needs to be re-evaluated.

    Five stars again?! Yup! We were on a shuttle with one of the managers and he gave us some $5 coupons to go in and try the place... So happy we did! Very friendly staff, excellent/fresh food, HUGE portions. We ordered the tree hugger Benedict, the turkey club (enormous), pumpkin pancakes, and chicken sandwich...we will not hesitate to return. All awesome! Very reasonable prices and very tasty. Thanks to the manager on the Residence Inn shuttle! We'll be back!

    My girlfriend and I had been wanting to try Tom's Urban for a bit and finally had an opportunity to this past Sunday for a quick "linner". I had the Lodo Adobo Chicken burrito and it was quite tasty and filling. The cilantro crema and pico de gallo played well as a topping for this delicious and moderately sized meal. The adobo marinated chicken inside was flavored nicely. My only complaint may be that there was a bit too much rice and not enough chicken but overall it was good and satisfying. My Love had the Carnitas Cuban sandwich and while I did not try it, it looked and smelled wonderfully. The garlic shoestring potato fries were good but did leave an interesting after taste. While the dessert offerings seem appealing and good we were simply too stuffed to try any. The service was good and attentive and our server was very pleasant and upbeat, providing refills on drinks quickly and effectively and checking in on us adequately. Food is reasonably priced. The interior of the restaurant and its location are quite nice as well. While I wouldn't say I would go too far out of my way to dine here again, I wouldn't be opposed to it either and would actually like to try some of their breakfast items. All in all it's a good little diner with some solid food options and friendly service.

    Made a trip to Denver with the fam to the Chalk Art Festival at Larimer Square, and decided on a whim to try out this conveniently-located eatery. The place had modern decor, and the ambience was family friendly. My bottom line verdict - two thumbs up!! The menu was not that extensive, but everything seemed so good. I had the Korean BBQ burger, more out of curiosity than want, but boy, I was not disappointed! The side of shoestring fries on the other hand, were average; nicely seasoned but a bit too greasy for my liking. Warning: if you order one of their sandwiches, ready your tummy, because they are HUGE. My daughter ordered the shaved turkey sandwich, and it came out as three overstuffed triple-layered halves (yes, 3 half sandwiches with 3 slices of bread). Needless to say, my fatherly duty was to eat one of the halves after I downed my perfectly spiced/seasoned Korean BBQ burger. It was that good. I would definitely eat here again, and I highly recommend folks try this place out. Nice location, decently-priced, awesome food, and a friendly staff equates to a great dining experience!

    I took it as a good sign when busy on a Friday night, they asked for my number to just send me a text when our table was ready so we could go hang out on the mall. That is a small customer experience bonus... Fun Fact: We were told "Tom" invented the stuffed crust pizza for Pizza Hut. I assume that means he is the first to market such a thing, because I doubt he invented it. Pizza and Calzones are pretty old... He also started Smashburger. Not my favorite, but a solid chain. As is the current fashion, Tom's has a good list of craft drinks, including some winners on the bloody mary recipe. I like that! The menu was a hat tip to old diner smashed into to new fusion. Not weird fusion, where somehow you get a sushi roll that is half tamale, but nice tasty update to classics. We ordered one thing, and the server told we would be happier with another. We took her advice and really liked what we got. Pros: Food, Service, engaged manager. Cons: not this time!.

    It was a binary experience for me at Tom's; terrible food, great service. The Food: I ordered Avocado Burger for $14.50, and a 13oz Modus Hoperandi for $6. Do those prices seem a bit steep to you? Same. I assumed the $6 beer was a pint, but it was not, and the shitty pour into the Tulip glass made it something more akin to 10oz. That wasn't 10oz with a nicely built head (which would take some care with such a high ABV beer), it was just shitty bartending. Now the burger, for that much money, you'd probably expect high quality ingredients prepared with care. Tom's doesn't appear to bother. I ordered my burger medium, and it arrived very well-done, with two strips of bacon and some low-quality cheese, unremarkable lettuce and tomato, and an avocado halve that I refused to eat. The ends of the avocado slices were legitimately black, and it was overripe throughout. The halve had been placed on the bun in such a way that it made me feel as though the chef intentionally tried to hide this fact. In addition to being overcooked, the patty was nothing remarkable, and certainly not a value. I liked the peanut slaw that came with my burger a good deal. My friend got the carnitas pho, and enjoyed it throughout, only remarking that there was a dearth of broth alongside the agreeable flavors. We both split the truffle popcorn to start. The parm and truffle oil make a nice combo, but the popcorn was stale. At least it was priced more realistically at $2.50. The Service: Trenton our server was very nice, and clearly eager to please. He got awkward when I answered honestly how I was enjoying my food (not very much). A more seasoned waiter would likely have just taken the burger from me and replaced it post haste, or asked how he could make it right, instead of just apologizing. However, Trenton apparently did notify his manager, who came over to the table. Jose was nice, acknowledged the issues with my meal, and gave us $10 in gift cards for the restaurant. I thought it was a little odd they were focused on my next visit (not very likely) instead of trying to salvage this one, until the bill came and the burger had been removed. The Verdict: The food and drinks are overpriced and not very good from what I can tell, and at this juncture only deserving of one star. However, I have a lot of respect for management that values the level of customer service I received. While I will not be running back to Tom's Urban 24 anytime soon (gave the lodo-based GF the gift certificate), I won't write it off.

    I do not understand how this restaurant only has 3 stars! The food is so unique, and the service is always right on. The ONLY complaint I have is that they ask you how you want your burger cooked and serve it medium well every damn time- just stop asking because it apparently doesn't matter! But, this is one of our new favorite spots because the menu offerings are so diverse and it's in a great location.

    I had a buddy that used to work here and never had the opportunity to come. On this hungover fine Saturday I made the trek to check it out. After walking in I first realized how inviting the place is. I quickly got sat and taken care of. The bloody is good but not great. The great service made up for it. The server made a joke about my Brussels sprouts check in and I gave her a sassy response. She took it well- I can't complain. The Brussels sprouts tasted great and all of my friends really enjoyed them. Something else that came in handy was the wifi. I LOVE WIFI. The food looked and tasted phenomenal. The only thing was my yolks weren't runny in my Benedict. It's somewhat upsetting. Overall a four star experience. My server was beyond phenomenal. Thanks to her it's getting a one star swing.     I was part of a group of 8 that had dinner last week before going to see a play at DCPA. That had some pretty crazy cocktail combinations (see the WTF) but I decided on a glass of wine for myself. The menu has a good variety of things to choose from - lots of small plates to split along with sandwiches and a variety of tacos. I settled on something they call the Colorado Hot Brown. This version has a couple of slices of sourdough on a plate, then turkey and ham placed on top, smother it all with some decent green chile, then top with tomatoes, cheddar and pepper jack cheese. Toss it into the broiler to melt the cheeses and top it all with two crispy pieces of bacon. End result, kind of weird but tasted pretty damn good! The green chile is the dominant taste, and I do enjoy green chile. The turkey and ham weren't of the greatest quality, they were more like the pre-cut sliced variety. The garlic fries were quite tasty, even though shoestring fries are my least favorite cut. Our server was really good, especially with rushing an order through for two late arrivers. I like the overall vibe of the place too, including the music. I look forward to my next time in, I have a few things I'd love to try!

    Made reservations for a larger group for dinner before heading over to see the Book of Mormon at the DCPA. We all had a pretty good time at Tom's, but the table's reviews are mixed. Here's mine: The crispy Brussels Sprouts, I thought, had way too much soy flavor. Texture was good, but heavily salted. The Grilled Croation Fig Jam + 3 Cheese was AMAZING. Add the bacon - you'll be glad you did. Fries were nice and crispy, but a little too much garlic for my taste. Larimer Mule wasn't anything to write home about. The SideCar was pretty good. Great service, convenient space, reasonable prices. I'd probably go back.

    This was overall a great experience. We went here because we have been trying to milk that last week or so of our Denver drinks passport, that expires labor day. They get that 4th star because their unwavering high quality service was consistent even after we informed that we not only had 241 drinks, but also a free bowl of Brussels from my Yelp check in. Score. Everyone does brussel sprouts, right? These were different: they described the sauce as Asian, which I would say accurate. You had your typical aromatics: ginger, garlic, lemongrass with what tasted like soy sauce and citrus. They were cooked perfectly. Drinks on point. We will be back!

    Our final stop of the night. Tom's Urban is located on the corner of Larimer Square and is really the only late night dining option available in these parts. Most restaurants were closing their doors at 10PM, while Tom's stayed open until past midnight. We were crawling the streets of downtown Denver and thanked our lucky stars we found a place to cure a case of the late night munchies. Also, this would beer #6 of the night. :) BACON JALAPENO MAC & CHEESE: Sans the bacon. This was on their special menu available only for the month of the July. Admittedly, my taste buds weren't 100% because of all the beer drinking and what not, but I liked my dish. It was spicy and perfectly creamy. Didn't even finish it all either even though it looked puny to me. 4/5 BOULDER CLUB: Both my husband and brother-in-law got this. They thought it was bomb.com 4/5 SERVICE: Host was nice, server could have done a better job with refills. We got a free Brussels sprout with Yelp check-in! VIBE: Casual cool. We liked that old music videos were playing on the TVs. Like the good 'ol days of MTV in the 90s. Worth a Return Visit? My husband really liked Tom's Urban.     I've been tip-toeing around reviewing this place. A couple friends and I decided to come in one Saturday for a late lunch for our friend's birthday a few weeks back. We were promptly greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. It seemed pretty steady for a lunch on a Saturday. One of my friend's and I got there early and were waiting on our third friend. It took about 10 minutes before we were even greeted by our server or to get water. I ordered some drinks and they came quickly. I had a special cocktail and whiskey was the base. It was delicious. My friend had a lemon drop. She said it wasn't that good but didn't want to send it back. My third friend finally arrived and we ordered appetizers. I ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were quite delicious. My other friend's food was just ok. It took about another 10 minutes for our server to come back again. We had to flag her down and ask her to take our lunch order. MY friend and I shared a chicken burger and sweet potato fries. It was delicious but it didn't come out very hot. We talked for quite some time and was ready to pay for our meal. We noticed our server wasn't coming by our table and we actually had to stop the bartender to grab the manager. After explaining our experience to the manager, she ended up removing a couple appetizers from our tab. She was very sweet. She must have spoke with the server because our server quickly came back to apologize. I understand people have bad days. That's why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. I really want to come back and try again but it might be a while before I do.

    Why have you forsaken me? Why'd you get rid of the kale Caesar salad?! Also, the hostess was very haughty. Don't act like you're doing me a favor with getting us a table. It's your damn job! Our server was really nice which kind of made up for it. I did try the corned beef hash and it was pretty lame. The portion size was really small for the price and it was totally lacking in flavor. Bummer. The one saving grace for this meal was the brussels sprouts. You managed to miraculously turn a veggie I despise into something pretty tasty. I wouldn't personally go out of my way to come back here, but if my friends insisted on coming back, then I probably wouldn't put up much of a fight.

    You know what? I haven't reviewed in a while and have just been a background yelper, but hot damn this place is great and only surpassed by the service. We 5 Californians had a few days in Denver leftover from a wedding and stayed a couple of blocks away from this place and we had great and drinks. Our server Jonny was very knowledgeable and let us know Tom invented stuffed crust pizza, STUFFED CRUST PIZZA! We had the Brussel Sprouts, pot stickers, duck wings, and grilled cheese, the grilled cheese was my favorite the sweet fig and salty cheese are perfect together. To drink I had the Tom's size Colfax Cooler and it is quite refreshing on a hot summer night. BOTTOM LINE: Eat here, drink here and sit in Jonny's section.

    Stopped in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. My options: four egg omelet or breakfast burrito. Limited. Odd, but okay. I like green chile smothered burritos. But not so much this one. My applewood smoked bacon burrito was $10. The bacon was minced; the eggs were not hot; the cheese was not melted; the green chile had a bitter edge. They were fast enough, friendly enough. Though I'm glad I looked carefully at the check: they tried to charge $12.50 for the $10 burrito. They were gracious when I pointed it out.

    Fun place for sure but the cocktails were not up to my standards. Really strong but not particularly tasty. The fact that they have a cocktail with wine, whiskey, Coors Light, OJ and blackberry liqueur . . . well, you get the idea. I got the Darker and Stormier. The bartender told me the "only 2 per person" label on the menu was a marketing ploy. But it was pretty strong, yet not very flavorful. Not a great beer selection. But they were nice about offering samplers of the beer before we committed to one. Friendly staff and the walk to the bathroom was exciting with a substantial yet hidden bump that makes walking drunk a challenge. They marked the bump with a large sign, but I stared at the sign in confusion until I stumbled and almost fell. The dessert special was an Oreo cheesecake which we tried. It was ok. What you would likely expect from Oreo cheesecake. Come for the fun. But don't expect too much in terms of food and drink.

    I ate here numerous times here for dinner, happy hour and late night. The food was consistently good if not better each time. It has a high ceiling that opens up to the second level. The bar looks out to Larimer Square and is good for people watching. The patio is great in the summer. This is a great place for large groups, casual dining and late night eats. I had the hummus and roasted brussels sprouts which was so crispy and perfectly seasoned. The menu offers old diner classics with a modern twist. Their cocktails were also good especially the mule. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

    Extremely good customer service, Noah was always on top of our table, made excellent suggestions (great up selling ) and was patient with our latecomers. The lobster roll was...fine. It did have a ton of lobster on it, completely worth the price paid. Couldn't taste the truffle sauce. I think I'll have to stop ordering lobster in Denver. The drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend the sidecar. The sweet potato fries were tasty. Not wowed by the spiced ketchup. The best sandwich at the table was clearly Amy's fig & grilled cheese, head and shoulders above everything else there. Great atmosphere, I would eat here again.

    Gave this place a second chance on a very rainy/snowy evening before the symphony. Much improved since the last visit. I had the gourmet tacos (1 Lobster, 1 Beef, 1 Pork) very good. My companion had a hamburger. Generous portions. Reasonable prices. This is not a quiet place, beware the large tables of shrieking young women. But we were fortunately placed in a relatively quiet area. I think we'll be back.

    This is a great place to grab an appetizer/drink from before Comedy Works/Dinner Reservations/etc. or a great place to go for "breakfast" after leaving the bars. With their variety of menu options they are sure to please everyone, but they do not sacrifice quality for quantity. I love that they have vegetarian options as well (my favorites are the white bean hummus, the black bean burger with green chile, & their fig jam grilled cheese with fries)...getting hungry just thinking about it!

    Went here and had some awesome pancakes. My girlfriend went ham on a burrito and some mimosas. We got hammered and Mary kept refilling our mimosas and beelines. Highly recommended for some good bottomless fun

    Came here for lunch the other day and ordered the $20 truffled Maine lobster roll. It was delicious but a very expensive lunch dish for lunch. Also had the brussel sprouts which had way too much flavor/seasoning.

    I did not realize when we walked in that this was not a solo restaurant. There are other Tom's Urbans around...though not many. We came in for a semi fast dinner before heading to a hockey game. The outside looked appealing and the inside decor was cool. The menu was pretty standard, and reasonably priced. I ordered the grilled cheese and fries, and my beau decided on a burger and fries. We both had a draft beer as well. It was still happy hour which made the beer a bit cheaper! The grilled cheese was perfectly toasted on white bread. It had a trio of cheeses (fontina, brie and havarti) as well as some fig jam on it. The flavors were great, however the cheese was not melted well. I was super impressed by the fries. They were shoestring fries. which are some of my favorites, and had been tossed in a garlic oil that tasted soooo good! They also seem to make their own ketchup in house, or at least are using one that is not of the norm. It was a bit chunkier than usual and had a nice flavor. The burger seemed underwhelming, and the bun was a bit larger than the meat patty. Our server was a nice guy too. The neatest part about this place in my opinion was the music playing in the background and the corresponding music video showing on the tv in the bar area. They did that for each song that played. A cool way to stray from the usual sports channel/news that is otherwise showing. They did still have other tvs playing sports, btw. :)

    The brussel sprouts free app was quite tasty although it wasnt something i would have ever thought to order. Id definitely order it again though. The burger meat was excellent and the buns were sooo fresh and sooo good. The sweet potato fries were the best Ive had as were the garlic fries. I would have given top scores but after the meal i started down the hall, past the kitchen, toward the restroom and was met by a very strong sewage odor. The small womens rr had a totally clogged, nasty toilet and the stall i used had no toilet paper. Thanks bunches. The restaurant was aware of the condition of their restroom as they had placed a wet floor sign in the middle of the room. Come on, now. Clean it up. That spoils the meal--and your review.

    Stumbled on this place while looking for a quick lunch before heading over to Buell Theater for a show. Had a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Food was okay but nothing special. Also, it took awhile for me to get the food considering the place was almost empty for a weekend afternoon. At least service was great and the staff was very attentive.

    Disappointing experience. Our waitress was rude to both my wife and I and ruined our experience from the start. For drinks, we both ordered beers... and after hearing what we wanted, the waitress said she wouldn't order either of those drinks and gave us her recommendations instead. We had to insist on our first choices to get the beers we actually wanted. I do appreciate recommendations when they are offered in a helpful way ("If you like that beer, you may want to try..."), but we were treated like we were too stupid to know what we wanted. Funny enough, my wife had ordered the beer our waitress recommended the night before and was dissapointed by it. Every other interaction with this young lady was very short/rude... like we were bothering her to get another drink or the check. The food runner/bus boy was awesome! Very friendly and outgoing! Would have much rather had him serving us. Food was pretty good overall... both of us were happy with our apps and meals when we left. However, a couple hours after eating I got VERY sick with nausea and vommitting. This is not meant to imply I got food poisoning from my meal here, but all signs/symptoms point to that being the case. Maybe this is related to the contentious interactions with our server? Regardless, I don't plan on going back.

    Pineapple upside down cake = amazing!! Fries two ways = amazing!! I don't like Brussels sprouts but they were wonderful. The sauce for potstickers was superb! Johnny was THE best waiter ever. :-)

    Our Server Mary took such good care of our table. She was very helpful and answered all of our menu questions, never let our glasses go empty and always had a smile. I wasn't super impressed with the food this time however, In fact it didn't sit well with one of our guests. The first visit I found the food very good so I will not let this misstep deter from more visits especially when Mary is serving! Thank you Mary!

    After a day of terrible customer service EVERYWHERE, Johnny was a breath of fresh air. At Tom's Urban, the food was great, the drinks were great, and the service was better. Johnny was above and beyond awesome, very genuine and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place; they provide overall exceptional service. Thank's Johnny (and Tom's) for saving our first night in Denver.

    Not kid friendly at all!!! The food here is good and the service from our server Claire was fabulous but the rest was horrible! We came here with two adults and two children for lunch on a Friday. The place was not that busy maybe 50% or less full. I came in with a double stroller and was asked to leave it outside in front of the building by the host and hostess. After I refused to leave my stroller outside they then made a big fuss about where to put it. I'm sorry but who will buy me a new one when my nice double stroller is eventually stolen from the busy street? Anyways we were taken to three different tables and told nope not here, nope not here and finally sat. Not sure what happened there but oh well. I have small children and one was unhappy for whatever reason so I was trying to calm said child... Well apparently that was not okay with the bartender or one of the other servers who gave me dirty looks and one asked me to 'keep it down'. Uh yelp says you are kid friendly and apparently you aren't! Food was good we had tacos and lobster sandwich but I wouldn't go back. They were so rude to us that I can't get past the bad feeling it left with me.

    We wanted to do breakfast at the Yard House. Unfortunately, they were not open, but a lovely waitress waiting for her shift suggested Tom's Urban -- it is only 4-5 blocks down on the free 16th Street Mall Trolley and then another one block walk. When a local gives you a suggestion -- you must take it and I'm so glad we did! I got the blueberry lemon sour cream poppy seed pancakes with salted-caramel butter and maple syrup ($9). They were light and fluffy! If you check in on Yelp, then you get a free Brussels sprout appetizer. Is breakfast too early for Brussels sprouts? Not when it's free!

    This place is truly amazing! Don't let the strange menu choices fool you, everything is tasty. I love the atmosphere here, you have a very open setting that isn't too loud or too cramped all while having plenty of seating. The drinks here are really good, I suggest the moscow mule for something light and refreshing or the bloody mary. Everything I've had here has been really good drink wise. Food, the good part. I highly recommend coming here during happy hour so you can try a little bit of everything at a discounted price. Each time I've been here I've gotten something different with one exception, I always (and I mean always) order the brussel sprouts. These are probably the best brussel sprouts in Denver, they are in this fantastic asian-vinegar sauce that is perfect. I also love the carnitas burrito smothered in green chilli. The green chilli mac and cheese is also pretty on point. I love that they are open late night on the weekends so you can drunkenly stumble there and get some late night eats, they start their breakfast menu but they will still let you order anything you want off of the regular menu (hint, hint the brussel sprouts). If you haven't tried this restaurant I would highly recommend it because it's in a great location and the food will never disappoint.

    I really liked this place, not because of the food but because of the atmosphere. Super hipster, decent drafts, menu SOUNDS appetizing but the food is mediocre at best. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the good music & music videos they played and the football game they had on. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sliders to share and the Urban Street Tacos (Steak Al Carbon, Sticky Belly, and Butter Poached Lobster Shrimp). The Buffalo Chicken Sliders were soooo good. Probably the best Chicken Sliders I've ever had. The tacos on the other hand were ok. The Sticky Belly was my least favorite out of the three tacos I ordered - too much chipotle sauce, that's all I tasted. My boyfriend usually never leave food on the table but he left half a burger at Tom's. I don't remember what he ordered but it was a burger covered in some kind of gravy.

    Ventured into Tom's Urban and sat at the bar. Was served by Noah, and let me tell you what- he did more than just build me a sturdy ark filled with animals. He suggested the fig pizza with bacon on it! & paired it with a fresh gin and tonic. I'd rather have a mouthful of dead pig meat than a smelly ark full of live ones! He was really kind and had perfect teeth (are those even real?) anyways... I'll come back but only as long as that mid length hair Justin beiber-esque cutie is around. :D

    Okay, I'll start with the good. We loved loved loved the atmosphere! It's very Snooze meets every lighting picture I've ever saved on Pinterest and it made for a fun Saturday night feel. Also, our server was awesome. He was friendly, made sure we always had everything we needed and wasn't obtrusive. The bad was that we weren't exactly wow-ed by the food. Three of the four of us ordered sloppers and said they were okay, but not amazing. I ordered the fig and goat cheese pizza and A) it was a flatbread, not a pizza B) it was covered in walnuts and apple slices, neither of which were mentioned on the menu and C) figs and goat cheese, where are you? It just wasn't anything like they billed it to be. Bummer, because I love a good goat cheese and fig pizza.

    While the food and drinks were good... The service here was top notch. Our waiter was amazing. Made great recommendations, kept the drinks coming and even split up our bill of 8 people who kept moving seats around and moved all night without any issue. The drinks are awesome and you can order doubles that are huge! Being from DC prices are great. We ordered the Mac and cheese app, fig and goat cheese pizza (with bacon) and friends ordered burgers and desserts - all were great. Fun atmosphere too but as I said the service alone would bring me back!

    I have made reservations for special occassions for many years now. They always end up getting pushed back or the restaurants drop the ball. Tom's Urban Diner did an AMAZING job. They made my friend's surprise birthday dinner a great experience. There attention to detail, their ability to make a small table of 6 seem like the most important, and the customer service is as always top notch.     First time in downtown denver (which, btw.. awesome!!) and my sister was hungry and cranky so we popped in here just in time for happy hour.... and it was the perfect little treat! We just ordered a few small things to share. The hummus (yummy) side by side fries (um yes please, half sweet potato and half shoe string garlic).. nomnomnom the small kale salad (basic but still tasty) and the Brussel sprouts which were marinated in an Asian type sauce and nicy and crispy (accept the ones at the bottom, too saucy for my but my dad was pleased.) Kim was quick, helpful and very lovely. We were in and out but all in all, great bar food for great prices!! :)

    Tacos were tasty....could have done without the overload of sauces. Rice and beans were good too. My fiancé had a "slopper" with turkey, ham, & cheese....he gave it 2 stars as it tasted "very commercial" I.e. not very fresh. We've definitely had better fast food...was hoping for more.

    Myself and the gf ate here before heading over to Comedy Works to watch Anjelah Johnson. I believe we got the street tacos and basically tried one of each kind. I must say they were very good, especially the pork belly or whatever it was. I also had a bacon flavored bloody mary which I really didnt care for. The after taste just wasn't good. Id definitely go back for the tacos but not for the bloody mary lol

    Food and service wad pretty good, atmosphere...not so much. I had the bacon avacado burger at lunch and it was pretty good (great portion size, cooked to thaske right degree, garlic fries were okay). The server was pleasant and attentive and we never had to ask to get her attention. That said, I don't know when it became popular for restaurants to have music playing like it were a bat on Saturday night, but we were there for lunch and couldn't use a conversational tone to hear each other. I recommend this place if you want to feel like you are having your meal at a singles scene bar all day or you just don't want to have to talk to your date. Otherwise, take your brunch/lunch/dinner elsewhere. * apparently, they had a recent change in the source of their pulled pork and its quality had diminished. If you go there, stick with chicken or beef.

    Given that it's a diner-style establishment, it was a little annoying that it was so loud (think club-level music) that carrying a conversation was challenging. Other than that, it was a good experience. The food was good--I was with five other people and we all cleared our plates. The free brussels sprouts with the Yelp! check in were the highlight for me.

    Outstanding! Went in alone for an early lunch (right at opening on a Thursday) and bellied up to the bar. Received a mimosa from the lovely bartender (who was also very friendly and efficient) then perused the menu. I decided on the "smaller portions" choice of Bratwurst sliders and OH BABY am I glad I did! Just the right amount of food and it just burst with flavor. Love the mustard they use and the pickle on top was a nice addition. My only complaint was the music was too loud and I couldn't hear her most of the time. The music was good, just a tad loud for an empty restaurant on a Thursday morning. Still, I'll be back!

    Nothing short of amazing! In town for a convention and searching for late night dinner on a Sunday when our group of 8 stumbled upon this goldmine. Our server, Johnny, was very attentive and his suggestions were spot on! We ordered several of the small plates to share and they were ALL delicious! Highlights were the brussel sprouts, the bacon jalapeno mac & cheese, and the cheesecake of the day which was roasted peach white chocolate and FABULOUS!! Swanky, fun atmosphere and did I mention great service?

    If I could I would give this place 1/2 a star, because of the service. The bartender was rude from the beginning asking for our id's and then throwing them back at us on the table. The check came and it was no surprise that he threw the check and the pen on the bar as well. No eye contact, no thank you, nothing. Worst service. Tall male with a pony tail avoid him at all costs you should be ashamed at yourself.

    Went for the Larimer Square Dining Al Fresco event and it was so beautiful! Siting outside with the live music and the lights above the street was great. Service was amazing even though there were tons of people. Strong cocktails and the food was delicious. I had the mahi mahi, it was a huge portion with fresh veggies on the side. The vanilla bean cheesecake at the end was amazing...not too rich or heavy.

    Came in for lunch. We sat on the patio, which was ok. I feel like no one was scheduled to work the patio, so we felt like an afterthought during our experience. The food, though, was so good! I got street tacos (carnitas, pork belly, and steak). I have to say the flavors were complex and well balanced. The beans and rice were yummy too. I also ordered a cocktail- the Colfax Cooler. It was also well balanced and potent. In fact, their entire drink menu looked very good.

    Such a great place! More of a "gormet" diner! We went here for Easter brunch and we loved all of our sections. My favorite was the sausage breakfast burrito! It's a big portion and so delicious! We also shared the lemon poppyseed blueberry pancake and it was amazing!! My in laws had the bottomless mimosas (they have different flavors) for $10 and they loved them! Great place and very affordable!

    I don't quite understand the brand. Why is it Urban? The menu is all over the place. The whole thing just confused me. My lobster roll was delicious, and my friend's burger was great too. Our server was friendly too. I think they need to figure out their theme and tighten up the menu a bit though.

    Great little modern, bright restaurant on the Larimer Square. Our waiter was awesome- super cheerful and attentive. I started the meal with a bang with a tasty Sidecar (whiskey, lemon sour, Cointreau). Next, my husband and I shared some of the pork green chili, which had tons a flavor and little kick to it. For the main event, we had the truffled lobster roll. The lobster roll was promising with huge chunks of tasty, fresh lobster meat and a sweet brioche bun, but I found the truffle mayo to be overpowering (and I am one of those truffle junkies that proclaims it as the ultimate condiment). The fries stole the entree round-once you get past the green color, they were garlicky and delicious.

    A modern, hip, spacious and mod diner that's open 24/7 and is in a hip location (Larimer Sq) I don't understand why this place isn't rated higher. So no this isn't your traditional greasy-if-you-eat-here-you-need-to-immediately-­shower-afterward-to-rid-yourself-of-the-horrendous­-old-diner-smell diner. That's why they throw in the word Urban into their restaurant name. The place is clean with vaulted ceilings and TVs in their bathroom mirrors. I came here on two occasions and got their Moscow Mule both times and thoroughly enjoyed them both. They weren't too strong and weren't too sweet. I also tried my friend's WTF cocktail which had an awesome large spherical ice cube in it. I wanted to steal the ice cube but, despite Denver being cold, it just wasn't feasible. . . I also tried their mushroom truffle arugula pizza (yep- that is definitely not your average diner fare) during happy hour and thought that it was A-OK. I definitely loved all of the toppings but I thought that the dough was really MEH. Their happy hour menu is awesome though and offers a good selection (from Italian to American to Mexican).

    My friend and I have been talking about going to Tom's for a couple of years. Since we had tickets to The Comedy Works we decided to give it a try (it's right above the venue, very convenient). We were greeted immediately and seated in the loft. It is very clean and cool inside which was nice considering the age of the building. It took a little longer than I'm used to to be greeted by the server, but that was really the only issue in that regard. I ordered the 3 street tacos (I chose two carnitas and one steak) with a side of rice, my friend got the avocado burger with garlic shoestring fries. According to her the burger was delicious, the fries good but not as much garlic as she hoped, and the ketchup was weird. I didn't try any of hers. One of my biggest problems with restaurants is when their rice isn't properly cooked. I was delighted to find the rice was perfect! The tacos were delightfully tasty. The pork was tender and the steak was just right. I would be hard pressed to choose between the two as to which was better. My only problem was that they only use one tortilla per taco and by the third one I had a total blow out and had to use a fork to eat it. But that certainly won't stop me from eating there again. Our server, Cameron, was very attentive in refilling drinks and making sure we didn't need anything else. And he didn't hover when we stayed a little long (we got downtown faster than expected).

Got the chance to try the Urban Mix 'N' Match Tacos, a decent sized portion, that also came with a bowl of rice and beans. The rice verde was a bit on the plain side but the charro beans were flavorful and quite tasty. The best of the tacos I thought, was the Adobo Chicken Taco which had a nice mix of flavors and the Carnitas. The Carnitas was really tender and just very straightforward. My least favorite which was the server's favorite, was the Korean Carnitas. I just didn't think the flavors went together well, possibly it was the Korean BBQ sauce and the cucumbers which made it not as appetizing for me. I thought Tom's Urban had a great selection of dishes, something for everyone. I was really tempted to try some of the cocktails but didn't want to feel like the only drinker at the table. If I'm ever back, I've definitely got to try the Larimer Mule, WTF :) and Tomm's Cup. I'm already wishing I had just tried these!

    So I've never been in to Tom's urban before and wasn't honestly expecting much; but was pleasantly suppressed with my cutie little server Allyson; she recommended a beer with my pulled pork, which I can't remember the name of but I loved it. She also told me to get crispy sprouts which were fabulous.

    Brunch yesterday was quite delightful, considering we had a party of 10 (which always has inherent challeges). - Our server was relatively attentive the entire time it took for everyone to arrive (at least an hour) - Food came out fairly quickly once ordered - All the food was really delicious, from the breakfast sliders to giant burritos, to my seemingly comparatively sad egg-white omelette - which actually ended up being quite tasty - Super accommodating of my baby (always a great thing in my book) I came here once before for a Yelp event but hadn't been back yet, but I will definitely return sooner next time. Really a nice place for brunch to accommodate various brunch/lunch tastes while providing a family/kid friendly environment and still being hip and cool (which I clearly am, despite being a mom now). Highly recommend it!

    Tom's is a pretty okay place, but the atmosphere doesn't quite seem to know what it wants to be. Sports bar? Trendy Stuben's like hangout/happy hour joint? Upscale diner? There was a so-so beer selection and pretty tiny cocktails; I won't be rushing back in a hurry.

    My friends and I were in the mood for breakfast and came to Tom's Urban only to find out that they no longer served breakfast on Friday's. As we tried to figure out whether or not we wanted to stay, Sarah, one of the waitresses was kind enough to get us water, offer us coffee, and suggest breakfast spots nearby. We decided to stay and Sarah's service was impeccable. She was so attentive, put up with our indecisiveness, and checked on us regularly. We didn't get breakfast, but the food was great! (Highly recommend the avocado bacon burger!) Best service I've experienced while visiting Denver!

    We had such a hard time figuring out where to have lunch and were delighted that Tom's Urban delivered a great experience. I wasn't terribly hungry, but after seeing such a yummy menu, I wanted to try it all! Tom's Cup was just the refreshing drink I needed after a lengthy stroll around town. The brussel sprouts were crispy and flavorful. The hubby enjoyed his long and skinny... smothered burrito! And I managed to finish all three tacos; pork belly and lobster were my faves. Mary, our bubbly server, was attentive and sweet. I saw her conversing amicably with nearby tables and taking pictures for them! Definitely coming back to this gem.

    Met some friends here that came in from out of town on a Monday evening and it was pleasantly empty. Friends came in a few moments before my boyfriend and I and had ordered some apps in the meantime. The beer selection is surprisingly lacking considering being a hip spot in Denver's Larimer Square, but I digress... Boyfriend ordered the Hot Brown and I ordered the Lobster Roll. Boyfriend said the Hot Brown was 'good' but lacked in flavor, dimension, and just kind of sat heavy. I enjoyed my lobster roll-- though it was a little pricey for what I got. It was GOOD, but not great. (guess I can't expect much being a bajillion miles away from the ocean; SoCal, I miss you.)

    We just stopped in for a cocktail and a small bite. Really liked the vibe of the place but was not super thrilled about the menu but all the food that came out of the kitchen looked good. I did have a bloody and one of their specialty drinks, both were pretty good. We split an order of the Mac-n-cheese. This may have been the best mac-n-cheese I have ever had. It has some green chili, some pork and was almost queso like but still maintained the typical mac-n-cheese qualities. I will come back just to eat that again. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating, which made us feel at home.

    I needed a night out after a rough day at work and since I was visiting Denver on business I went to Yelp and found Tom's Urban and decided to give it a try. Such a good choice!! Noah was my server and he did a great job. I had the Pork Green Chile Carnitas Mini Mac n Cheese, the Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Asian Viniagrette and a shrimp and lobster taco. SO GOOD!! The mac n cheese stole the show. It took everything in me to act like an adult and not lick the plate. And I loved the brussel sprouts. I've never had them crispy before and the asian vinaigrette added just the right touch. The taco wasn't spectacular but the other two dishes more than made up for it.

    The host is awesome. Bravo, I know thats a tough job. Service seemed to be swamped so it could've been more attentive but it wasn't anything too terrible. Potsticker salad was inventive and good. Great ambiance and location. We were able to be seated right away without a reso on a Saturday night at 7:30 which is fantastic. Do not order a martini, the pours are extremely short... Like maybe 1.5 ounces. When brought to the attention of the server, she said she couldn't do anything about it. Bummer.

    Had a great experience here. Greeted warmly and seated quickly on a frigid cold night. All the staff were friendly. Normally it would be soup and grilled cheese on such a chilly night but my sister pointed out the lobster rolls and that sounded fantastic. You can order sweet potato or garlic parm fries, and we ordered one of each. Tons of lobster in the rolls and the truffle mayo kicked it up a notch. Our bill came to $50 total for 2 rolls and 2 sodas.

    Toms used to be the place to go! They had everything from American to Chinese to Mexican.. and it was ALL magnificent! I went in for the first time in a few months and realized that they changed the ENTIRE menu :( Now the menu consists of 3 things.. Appetizers, salads, and burgers. There are only 2 or 3 things on the menu that are vegetarian.. which is unfortunate because Denver is a huge veggie friendly place. We asked the waitress why they changed the menu and she said it was because management wanted it to match the menu out in LA. People from LA and people from Denver have different taste buds, apparently. I am so disappointed. I watched two groups walk in and immediately walk out because they no longer serve breakfast (only on the weekends?) I asked the waitress if business had been different and she told me that just yesterday she had six tables walk out because there was no breakfast.. SIX TABLES. From a business point of view, that is a lot of money being taken from their pockets. I just don't understand why they would "try" to fix something that wasn't broken? I ordered the queso dip and it came with one tortilla that wasn't even cut up.. why wouldn't queso come with chips? It was super confusing, but the queso was pretty tasty regardless of the tortilla. For my entree I had the black bean burger, which is just that. Black beans shaped into a burger. Not the consistency of a real veggie burger. It was like taking beans and putting them between two slices of bread. It was way too mushy. The cheesecake receives 2 stars, because, WOW. Best cheesecake I've ever had! They have it made by a local baker and it is literally to-die-for! I won't be back to Tom's (unless I need cheesecake!) But I wish they would go back to there incredible menu.. I am still super upset about this. Tom's Urban was amazing and I have never ever truly been this devastated over a restaurants menu change.

    Very expensive for what you get. Ordered the $13 calamari, which came in a tiny boat bowl that was half filled with peppers. Calamari was very low quality. I am not the type to require a strong drink, but the $9 Hendricks gin and soda I ordered was very weak. In short, poor value, poor food quality. Decent service.

    Yup, I am a fan of this place. Went here for the first time today, and will definitely be back when the situation presents itself. This place was Fast, like crazy I was not anywhere near ready for our food to be here fast. The service was very prompt. Never had an empty water glass, never was wanting anything that I didn't have or wasn't asked for. At the same time we had a meeting, and never felt like the service was interrupting our meeting. Everyone at our table loved their food, I personally got something called like a sloppy burger or something like that. basically a burger covered in green chili, and it was a messy great time. Wasn't the cheapest place, but not pricey either. The person who brought us there eats there lots and said the breakfast was sometimes disappointed but our lunch was great, I say check it out.

    Open 24hrs on thurs, fri, sat. Bellinis (both kinds): didn't have peach but they used purée. 7/10 Chili/soup: 7/10 Tacos (3 different kinds): varied, but overall around a 5/10 Burger with truffles, cheese, and spinach instead of lettuce, on a soft bun: 7/10 Sweet potato fries (very sweet with an interesting flavor I couldn't pinpoint): 7/10 Wings with blue cheese dip: 8/10 Waitress Cheyenne was really sweet. I want to eat here again and it's super convenient it's open 24hrs 3 days out of the week.

    Went here for my mom's birthday celebration. First I'd like to say that their calamari is soooo bomb. It was so good we got another order. LOL Beers - Personally, I like light beers. So I got the gasshopp-ah cider which was very delicious. It had a combination of sweet and sour flavor which went down so smooth. It was strong too! I was feeling nice and warm after just one beer. After that I got the White Rascals which is a local beer that wasn't on the menu but was recommended by our waiter. Food - Like I said that calamari is freakin bomb diggity. The serving is a little small for the price tho but still oh so delicious. It had slices of red and green bell peppers and onions and the tar tar sauce is to die for. I can still taste it in my mouth. We also got the buffalo wings - sweet and savory cooked well. The BBQ bacon burger was very delicious cooked medium rare to perfection! We got the sweet potato fries with it which was very tasty as well. Bathroom - TV IN THE MIRROR!! YEA, THEY HAVE A TV IN THE BATHROOM MIRROR. I walked out the stall and was blown away. Lmao. I have never seen that before. It was clean. My only complaint would be the hall leading to the bathrooms. What's up with the uneven floors? Overall, I give 4 stars. I took one off cause they took forever to get our orders. Tho the waiter apologized and explained that they had a misunderstanding on who was taking the table. I still think that with only five other tables occupied such a minor mistake shouldn't have occurred.

    My cousin brought me here for breakfast, and Oh. My. God. The best hash browns I have ever had. I got the classic benedict, which I really enjoyed. The sauce was smooth and creamy, and the English muffin was cooked well. However, the hash browns carried the plate. The asadero cheese added an incredible amount of flavor to the potatoes, and I think I will now add some every time I make myself some at home.

    This place is amazing! The food was fairly priced and absolutely delish. We had several different small plates including a truffle pizza, wings, and an assortment of tacos, as well as the calamari. Which was amazing. The presentation was awesome and we all left very happy and full. Fun atmosphere and super clean bathrooms. Our server was called Allyson and she was friendly, efficient, and really enjoyable. She knew everything about the menu.she was truly an assest to the restaurant. Cannot wait to go back!!

    Always fun, always good food. Tom's has become the place where we either grab some food and/or a drink before (or, since it's open late, after) whatever we do downtown for the night. Besides the funky updated diner menu, they have a full bar and some great rum and whiskey options. It's a great place to go on the weekends, highly recommended. Always have a great time there.

    First, I have to mention that I absolutely love the retro style decor in orange, aqua and cream in here with the circular booths center under the clear colorful matching globes and off to the side. Our party of three sat in a half circle booth. -very cute! I would normally get worked up over the fact that they missed the ham in my "Create your own omelette", but but we were having breakfast before having to head to the airport.. It happens. Besides that, the service here was excellent. Although, our server took a while to bring coffee and water, the place was busy and other staff helped her keep us happy keeping up with requests for more syrup, butter, sugar and water. She was very attentive and wonderful otherwise. As people who all enjoy dining out, we all swapped food samples of our orders. My gf had the pumpkin spice pancakes which were so heavenly. My gosh... I had my omelette with the mushrooms, onions, red peppers and my "phantom" ham. lol Even with the missing ingredient, I still enjoyed it with the toasted sour dough and that delicious homemade jam. My bf had the corned beef hash. -very tasty and free of major grease of sogginess... I also have to mention that this place has good coffee. I like it strong, but that may not suit the masses. Either, way it was a happy medium roast over the general watered down type many breakfast spots brew. We all left completely satisfied and ready for the day. I would totally come back here next time I'm in Denver!

    Tom's, situated on the corner of Larimer Square, is fantastic! The decor is a modern mix of calming colors, hanging decor and sleek seats. Perfect for morning hangovers, Tom's Urban 24 offers a soothing environment with a gracious menu of food options! My suggestion is not to get creative here (for once) and allow them to do the work. Their lemon-poppy seed pancakes will hit your sweet spot and fill that empty stomach! Did you know - Tom's is also 24 hours a day! HIGH KICK!

    Personally I've visited Denver throughout the last couple years several times. We have a vacation home here and come very often through the downtown area on our way to the mountains. As a Chicagoan we take our food very seriously and I make sure to check out the spots in Larimer square. Let's just say I'm a huge fan of Tom's Urban, and the food there. I got the midnight slopper burger and it was exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it. Not only was the burger great but we were treated exceptionally! This 5 star rating might be more for the service than the food. We had a lovely waitress named Megan who was very very helpful and actually recommended the burger to me. My girlfriend was also super jealous of the short bob haircut the waitress had and wouldn't stop talking about it the entire meal. If there was a negative it would have been how that haircut seemed to be our only conversation topic. Anyway great food, incredible service, and very nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend it and make sure to ask for Megan as your waitress!

    The atmosphere is one of a kind! I had low expectations because I have heard mixed reviews. But we decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did! The contemporary, urban, café feel had a ton of energy. We went with friends for Denver Restaurant Week and their menu was fabulous! We all tried different things and everything was marvelous. They even included a free drink which was a bonus. I had their Asian Brussels sprouts for appetizer and I all but licked the bowl. My husband had the spicy fried calamari and the sauce that came with it was outstanding. This is making my mouth water just thinking about what we ate :) For my entrée I had their mix of three tacos, one was the Korean carnitas, the second was a pulled chicken with avocado and slaw and the third was their regular carnitas taco. All amazing!! My husband had their crab enchiladas. This had so much flavor, it exploded in your mouth. Dessert was unbelievable, I had their flourless chocolate cake and I ate the whole thing! Wow, I was stuffed! We will be back for sure! Their brunch looks very tasty as well, we will try that next time. The urban feel and amazing food and hand made cocktails make this a winner!!

    Trust Tom's Urban to deliver. It is a neighborhood go- to place but a step above. Plenty of variety in the cocktails and brew offerings. The food menu also offers the items you expect but with a kick. The fries are a must! I also stopped in and ordered take out and the bar staff timed my order so that I could enjoy one pint while my food was prepared and packaged for my walk home. The crazy music video mix is fun as well. You will be treated to early music videos from the late 70s mixed with emerging artists. Oh yeah, sports fans will be able to keep up with their games while eating as well.

    We bought plane tickets to Denver for a concert that ended up being canceled in January (I know this much is True). Rather than being disgruntled, we decided to make it a vacation anyway because I love Denver. Better yet - 70+ degree weather Monday-Wednesday. Oh, and my buddy from Chicago had a nonrefundable ticket. One evening we were walking around looking for a place for dinner, and we came upon Tom's Urban. We decided to give it a go the next evening and made yelp! reservations. Thanks to all of you who left great reviews by the way. We had a great dinner. great drink menu, great food, and great service. Plus, I saw a bunch of music videos I've never seen on several of the monitors placed above so if you don't want to look at a TV, you don't have to. I'm definitely coming back during my next visit to this awesome city.

He was so willing to give us each separate checks (we needed different receipts for work), and was so attentive to us all night.     I mean no disrespect to post this review, but Tom's was disappointing. We stopped in on a whim, despite my fellow Yelpers' negative reviews, because the signage said "epic cocktails." I like epic cocktails. They forget an adjective, though - epically DISMAL cocktails. Each one sounded worse than the next. It's as though two 17 year old boys were left alone with their parents' cheap liquor stash and played a game of "would you rather....?" I settled on a tequila-jalepeno-pineapple drink, because I've had this flavor profile before, and it worked well. This one, sadly, did not. They must have had a sale on the cheapest tequila you could find anywhere in the world, it was so bad I couldn't even finish it. And it is RARE that I do not finish my booze. My husband, foolishly, ordered the WTF?? - yes, that is a drink - Coors, red wine, whiskey, blackberry liquer, and maybe something else. His thinking, perhaps, is that no one has the cojones to put all those things together unless they really work, right? His thinking was wrong. It didn't work. And he, too, rarely leaves a drink behind. We left (as soon as we hunted down our bill, as service here is very apathetic). Save yourself, really, if the drinks are this bad, I can't imagine that the uninspired menu would be any better.

    I love that there is a 24 hour diner in lodo. I feel like most bars get out and the only place to go to is Denver Diner - so this is a nice change of pace. I like the menu, it's decent prices, and the drink menu is really creative. This is a great spot to grab dinner before a show at Comedy Works or the DCPA. I've never had to wait for a table there, which is nice in that neighborhood on the weekend.

    I really like this place. The location is great as its right on the corner of Larimer Square. The food is pretty delicious as well. I had the taco trio and the sticky belly was unbelievably good!!! The staff was very attentive. My only issue is the noise level. It was so loud in there it was difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting next to me. Great place, but not somewhere if you're looking to have any sort of conversations.

    Great atmosphere, great happy hour prices and the service was outstanding! We started out with the free yelp check in deal; Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Asian Vinaigrette and our 1/2 price drink was the Larimer Mule (Sobieski Vodka, lemon juice, mint Guayaki Matte syrup, ginger beer). We then ordered the Mushroom Truffle Pizza and two lobster and shrimp tacos! Everything came out prefect! Oh, and did I forget to tell you about the great tasting pork green chile carnitas mac and cheese! Its a must! We will be back!

The only good thing here is the service. There are plenty of great restaurants downtown, choose one of those instead.

    I really love Tom's but things have changed in a way, I'm not sure I totally love. They had homemade poptarts and when those came off the menu, I knew we were in trouble. NOW, I can't say it's not still delish, because it totally is. I went back with my mom who was in town a few days ago and we got two sandwiches and shared. The lobster sandwich, and the upscale grilled cheese (we of course added bacon) were delectable. The fries (both kinds) are unreal, and come with yummy things to dip them in! Here's my thing. Don't let me fall in love with home made poptarts, and an goat cheese flat bread pizza only to take it away! Go back to the old menu. While I understand streamlining the menu some, don't change everything. It's just to much change. It's not that you won't love Tom's, you will, it's just not the restaurant we fell in love with.

    So my review is purely based on a quick trip in here after a show at Comedy Works the other night. I guess I am going with 3 stars because I was just kind of blah about the overall experience. My friend had the green chili mac and cheese and he swears it's the best mac and cheese ever - I could not disagree more! Honestly, it had the strangest after-taste and I will attribute it to their green chili which is something I love but not here. I just couldn't quite place my finger on what was off about it but it was just...off. (And even he concedes that there is an after-taste that he believes is the green chili but it doesn't seem to bother him). I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was VERY good. I would go back and get it again if I was in the neighborhood but wouldn't got out of my way. The restaurant is very cute and the service was okay but we didn't really need much, just food and water. It just wouldn't be a must-do again for me.

    I know 2am is when the rush is here, but that's no reason to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to our table once we've already been seated. That's been pretty consistently my experience here -- so it's a staffing problem at that point. And the food has LoDo prices slapped on mediocre dishes. I've never disliked green chili this much. Denver Diner definitely has better service, better prices, and better food. Worth the short taxi ride.

    Oh my goodness....I'm so sad to write this! My fiancé and I went here a few weeks ago on a Sunday morning for breakfast before his flight out of town. We walked in and sat at the bar. The bartender said hardly anything to us. I ordered a mimosa with orange juice. He delivered it and it was grapefruit juice. I kindly told him that I had asked for orange juice. He went to make the drink and AGAIN brought back grapefruit juice. I started to chuckle and he looked at me like I had just hurt his puppy. I again said, I would like this with orange juice. He finally got it right. We went to order food and realized they changed their menu...a lot. We asked about the homemade pop tarts...they no longer make them. WHAT?!?! They were so good. We ordered. I got a typical breakfast of sausage, eggs, and toast. As I was dipping my knife into the jelly I noticed the container was dirty from something else. I asked for another container and showed the waiter/bartender the dirty one. He just shrugged. I never got another one. I saw the manager walking around but when we were getting ready to leave he was no where to be seen. I'm extremely saddened by what has happened to Toms. It used to be a place we bragged to people about and now we tell people to take the time to wait in line at Snooze!

The highlight was the friendly and helpful hostess, but the server seemed to wish he was someplace else and our meal took a very long time to be served- and we were the only people in the place. I'll give this place another try, but with some reluctance.

    Went there last night for dinner with our toddler and his Granddad. Was looking for a great, casual meal somewhere in the vicinity of Larimer Square, our favorite area in the city. Tom's Urban was a homerun! Our server (nice gentleman with an impressive beard - sadly don't remember his name) made some excellent recommendations. My wife and I both had the tacos, and the pork belly one was by far the best... Sooo good. We also had the Brussels Sprouts small plate which was delicious. The pineapple cake dessert was also quite good. Oh, and they have liters of beer. Yep. Chill, casual atmosphere with a hint of modern sophistication and interesting music (videos) in the background. Fine place to bring a kid and not worry about the noise so much. Didn't even need a Highchair with the neat booths they had. I'd go here again for sure next time I'm in town.

    We got amazing service (Thanks, Noah!), good food, and fabulous drinks. What really works for this place is the happy hour. Loved the Colfax Cooler. Boyfriend ate the street tacos and highly recommends the sticky belly. I got some fancy grilled cheese with bacon, and though I cannot remember what it was called, I can say that I will always remember the delightful juxtaposition of sweet Fig and salty bacon melted into sourdough with nice mild cheeses. I don't know squat about what's good in Denver, but I know food, and this place gets my vote for good late night grub.

    Great comfort food happy hour, 3-7 with 1/2 price apps + drinks. It was a snowy day & my tummy was craving something warm & cheesy. The green chile smothered sweet potato fries & mac n cheese pot did not disappoint! Green chile bowl was also fresh & delish, but could have been warmer/hotter. The shrimp salad was so super sad. Expected large grilled shrimp, but there were 5 small grocery store looking borderline cooked cold shrimp on what seemed like grocery store box spinach. :( A+ for comfort food. D- for $13.00 salad!

    My girlfriend and I stopped here last weekend to cool off and grab a beer after a bike ride downtown before we hit the chalk extravaganza. It was really busy but we were able to snag a spot at the bar and grab a beer from Lauren who we learned was also from Wisconsin where we flew in from (woo!) and she made awesome recommendations. Denver has a ton of local brews, and Toms had a bunch. The wait was painless and before we knew it our food was on the table. We stuck to appetizers which were both delicious. It's what you expect from an American eatery, wings, edamame, sweet potato fries, that sort of thing. Our waitress Jessy was super friendly and made great recommendations for places to hit in the area and we later learned was also from Wisconsin! It was nice of her to take the time to help us out especially considering how busy the place was. Can't visit Denver without finding that Midwest hospitality. A nice afternoon for sure!

    I like that you can make reservations online for this establishment. Made it super quick and easy to plan a birthday lunch for my coworker. We were sat right away, had a great server, and I liked the food. They serve breakfast all the time (Yay!), so I got a carnitas breakfast burrito. It was smothered in some pretty good green chili, but the fillings were literally carnitas and scrambled eggs. I wish they would've thrown some potatoes or green peppers in there... They offered to bring my coworker a dessert of her choice on the house for her birthday, and she chose the pineapple upside down cake. That wouldn't have been my first choice, but I was pleasantly surprised with the bite that I had. It was delightful.

    Super expensive for what is a glorified bar menu. My food came out cold. The service took forever. The interior is a tacky mash-up of Steubens and Snooze, only missing any sort of originality or pizzazz, much like their food. For the same price you can go to dozens of other good restaurants in the area.

    Walking around downtown we decided to come into Toms. It looked like a very open and fun environment! The host greeted us and sat us down right away. We sat at one of the cool round booths and had tons of room to spread out. Megan was our sever and she was very friendly! She let us know right away that there was bottomless mimosas for only $10! That's an amazing deal, but we decided to pass it up. When we asked Megan what some of her favorites items on the menu was she was able to give us tons of suggestions and made everything sound delicious we had a hard time deciding what to get! I decided on one of the burgers and when it arrived I couldn't believe how big it was. I usually get my burgers medium rare and places have a hard time getting it that way, but this one was cooked to perfection. I was barely able to finish the whole thing but it was so good that I did. Megan offered us some of the chefs cheesecake of the day and although it sounded yummy I couldn't hold another bite. Everything couldn't have been any better. We will definitely be back again, and next time we will have to try the mimosas and the breakfast.

    We came here about 5pm on a Saturday, fully expecting them to be slammed like everywhere else downtown, but they were actually pretty empty. I think "diner" might be a stretch, they seem too upscale to be a diner. Service was okay, not stellar by any stretch of the imagination. Our server was more intent on chatting it up with the other staff, which really only impacted us when we needed refills. I got a bbq bacon burger. I thought the meat was cooked and tasted awesome. The bacon was thick and well done, too, which is nice. Some places seem to skimp on the bacon these days. The bbq sauce was lacking. It was very runny and messy, altho the flavor was okay. I also got the garlic fries with it. And when they say garlic they mean it. The garlic flavor just punches you in the face and completely overpowers the fries themselves. Which was okay, since I like garlic, but I could see it being too much for people. The prices were a little excessive for a diner bar food. I think it was about $40, without even ordering any booze.

    A fun concept and surely the place to be for local hipsters. We stopped here for lunch with a large group. Service: A++. But guess what? I didn't really care for the food. Over-thought and over-worked, for my tastes. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs and it just had an odd, bitter taste to it. I'm not going to dismiss you, though, Tom. Let's see how you fare on a Happy Hour with appies and cold ones.

    Fantastic location on Larimer's Square. Super cool decor. Nice open bar and light and bright seating area. And the rest of it, like the food, is just OK. We popped in here on a Saturday afternoon. It was really dead, but even though it was dead they sat us at a tiny table. I hate that, since it is completely empty can we get a booth? At any rate we stuck with the tiny table and I ordered the Urban Cowboy Bake (which was pulled pork, beans, cheese, eggs & red sauce) and the hubby did the burger thing with garlic rosemary fries. I thought my cowboy bake was very cheesy and very hot. It must have sat under the broiler waiting for my hubby's well done burger to get done because it was really hard to eat it was so insanely hot. The eggs were very good and the red sauce was delicious. The rest was OK. It was all too molten hot and the flavors didn't work together, but if you ate each item on it's own it was good. Service was OK, although the food was slow to come out. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about (totally dead), might have been better late night. It has such an awesome location I could see coming back, but I would hope everything would be just a little better.

    No Complaints from me on Toms Urban. The line was long and we had a little wait, but they kept us informed and moved us thru quickly. The place is Hip and Has a Awesome Vibe. Comfortable seating. Its noisy but so that you cant hear what people in your party are talking about. I started off ordering the Greek Yogurt with Granola. The Yogurt was fresh and light, and didnt have the Limey After taste that Ive experienced with some Yogurt. The Pancakes were light and fresh. The Salted Butter was a nice touch. The maple syrup was thick and soaked in but didnt weigh down the pancakes. And i ordered a Side of Ham. And they didnt fret over the addition. Hopefully I will become a regular at Toms. Next Go will be Lunch Then Dinner.

    Went for brunch on a Saturday... I had the green chili, 2 poached eggs and a Bloody Mary. The chili was pretty good The eggs were way over cooked... the yolk on a poached egg should be runny... these were more like egg shaped hockey pucks. My Bloody Mary was more expensive than my food and pretty boring. They don't load it up with a bunch of sides. It's just spicy tomato juice and vodka... blah.

    I really love this place because it's so reasonably priced compared to everywhere else around it in Larimer Square. They have a great atmosphere inside with two levels of seating. I ordered a salad and asked for it without hot stuff (i forget what the hot item was) but it came out being hot. When the server asked how everything was I hesitantly told him about the hot stuff and he insisted on getting me a new salad. I really appreciated that because I truly wouldn't have enjoyed it otherwise. Thank you! It really made a difference.

    If i had to say something good about this place...hmmmm...something good...well it had nice decor. Very sad when that is the best thing you can say about a place the serves brunch. Brunch is one of the best meals of the week, and it is sad when a place can butcher it. I was a little surprised that there was a wait for this place when there are so many better breakfast options out there. After about a twenty minute wait for our table, we were eventually seated. We quickly placed our order, but the food took an extremely long time to come out. I mean extremely long to the point, where you start staring at the kitchen praying that your food is the one that is coming out next. I got the Corned Beef Hash (one of my favorite breakfast dishes), and my friend got the lemon poppyseed pancakes. The over easy eggs were more like well done, and the burnt hash browns alongside my corned beef was very disappointing. To say it in a nice way, the dish was not good. I mean honestly though, how can you screw up eggs when you are a breakfast place!?! The pancakes were actually pretty good, but had nothing on the pancakes at Snooze. If you come here for some random reason or are forced to eat here, I would go with the pancakes. Also, I am sorry in advance if you are forced to come here. I usually end my reviews with Enjoy!, but in this case...

    Disappointment. Ordered the Havana carnitas sandwich on the recommendation of the server. It arrived cold. And there was literally 2 shreds of carnitas....each were 1.5" long and thinner than an avg lamp cord. The rest of the sandwich was ham. And to top it off I upgraded to a kale and romaine side salad for $2, and there was no kale in it. My boyfriend ordered pork three ways, I thought it was decent, but he said the beans were overpowering. Service was quick, place is clean...nice view of Larimer. But I wish I had my $47 back.

    Perfect Dinner! Came here for an early dinner and to escape the blizzard outside. The place was nearly empty (as were the streets outside due to poor weather) so we got a table and were waited on very quickly. The waiter (Noah) was more than helpful with helping us deal with a food allergy, find something to do at night time, and just was very pleasant. The food was phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed their meal. And very inexpensive given the quality of the food! I'm considering going to school in Denver, and if I do I will be back here many more times!

    2 3/4 stars. It's like Waffle House bought a corner spot on Larimer square... And, serves booze. So, OK, keep your expectations in line... Be prepared for slowish service, and multiply your Waffle House bill by 5 :D

    DON'T SIT AT THE BAR. I've been here three times now and mostly had good experiences. The pancakes are amazing. The corned beef is lean and delicious. The two times I sat at a table, the food and service were both excellent. The third time I went, we decided not to wait for a table and sat at the bar. The bartender was determined to have nothing to do with us. We waited almost 15 minutes and finally the manager brought us a bloody mary (good) and a mango mimosa (bad). They use Andre sparkling wine, which you can pick up at the liquor store for about $3 a bottle. It's gross. We then ordered and it took over 40 minutes to get our food. We got the regular and treehugger benedicts. The regular was good, though the eggs were very overcooked (completely hard yolk). The treehugger had overcooked eggs but was cold in the center (refrigerated avocados?) and the untoasted muffins gave it a raw taste. Inedible. We didn't have time to send them back but should have. I would steer clear of the benedicts and always sit at a table, but I will be back. The proprietor is very nice and the first two times were so good, it warrants another chance.

    The downside to our experience was the price, especially after we left when I realized I had been charged $1 extra for English Muffins that I thought were supposed to be included with my entree. I guess something's gotta pay for the excellent location off Larimer Sq, but the English Muffin charge, especially when it was rattled off with the list of included toast options, was aggravating. The quantity served is less than a Village Inn, but the quality was evident. I chose my own omelette ingredients: tomato, bacon, and Swiss, but in the end I wished that I had gone for more interesting items like the smoked pit ham and roasted peppers and Haystack Mountain cheese blend. Totally my fault, but it was still very good and had arrived in an attractive pillow of eggs. Mr. daNuge ordered the Chorizo & Green Chile burrito. The smokiness of the meat cut through the fattiness of the meat and cheeses and sour cream, and it was great they didn't use just a regular ol' sausage. The Mule drink was the highlight of my meal, and it was properly served in a copper mug where the metal drew out its refreshing, bright taste. Highly recommend you give this one a try! The service was good - we were seated right away and the server refilled our waters several times after only a couple sips. He knew his stuff too. But overall, I'm not sure if I'll be back...

    Came here on a little lunch break from work yesterday and really enjoyed. While the menu is large, I wasn't too interested (at the time of day) in most of the menu items. I opted for a pizza for lunch and was delighted when my selection arrived to the table. I had a flatbread with fontina and goat cheese, sliced granny smith apples, fig jam and candied walnuts. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly; the pizza was delicious in every sense. The service was friendly (we sat at a high top in the bar area and were served by the bartender) and attentive. Also liked the cool interior of this place, love the low hanging light fixtures in the middle of the dining room. It wasn't until a few hours after lunch that I realized my pizza arrived without the candied walnuts that our server raved about, but didn't notice during lunch and really enjoyed the pizza without the walnuts. Curious to see how (if) the dinner menu differs from lunch. I'd undoubtedly recommend the pizza I had!!!

    Poor overall all value from the smallest $10.00 wine pour I have ever seen and the appetizer was half of the size you would expect (queso fundito). Simply said all 7 of us in our birthday party were not impressed and can't see returning due to poor value for our $250.00 or 40.00 per person. Heads up fellow Yelpers on this one!

    I would come back, it was tasty and friendly. We had... Green chile carnitas taco, delicious. Corned beef hash and eggs with sourdough toast and jam, great- the has was a little sweet, not too heavy, tasted good. Loved the sour dough and jam. The jam is amazing. The urban slopper with black bean patty. Amazing! You don't need the bread, so much flavor, with good bits of carnitas in the green chile sauce. Garlic fries were crisp and just enough garlic to keep you eating them for more of that flavor.

    PERFECT! Came here for a late night bite after the game. Was quoted 30 min wait(the place was packed) and we sat in about 10. I ordered the buffalo sliders. The chicken was very very clean white meat with little breading in the chicken, yummmm. My friend ordered the "American" burger and said it was "the best burger ever." Their garlic fries are phenomenal and the ketchup is very good! Def would go back next time I'm in town!! Great service by our waitress.

    This place has pretty solid brunch food. I've been here a couple of times and ordered different menu items. All were pretty good. If you want a casual brunch place where the food is a little more upscale than a greasy spoon breakfast diner, consider going here. Beware, it (like nearly all decent brunch places in Denver) can get a bit crowded on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

    I stopped in here looking for a quick bite before a comedy show a couple of weeks ago. The fact that is on the corner next to where I was going was the main reason I chose it. I wasn't terribly impressed. It's very overpriced, the bartender was slow and seemed annoyed when I asked for my check (for the second time), and the wings that I ordered didn't have anything particularly outstanding about them. I got the feeling that entire place is built around hip decor and that's it. I see some good reviews on the food, but I don't think I'd rush back based on my first experience and the cost.

    How are people not love love loving this place? As a vegetarian, I was reticent to try an Urban Diner. I mean, come on; diners are usually full of burgers and other meaty-ful things. However, I saw their Brussels sprouts appetizer, and I was sold. Of course, being down town, parking sucked. You just have to deal with that. However, the service was amazing, and the food? DELICIOUS. From my iced tea (how many iced teas have you had with hints of bergamont?) to my super tasty Broccoli and 4 Cheese Soup to my out of this world pizza, everything was incredible. Leo had a burger, and told me he could actually taste the freshness of it...and maybe the organicness. Not the cheapest place, but certainly on par for downtown. A nice menu with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options, and definitely tasty. We can't wait to go back!

    We ended up here last night after struggling to think of a place that would seat a group of 10-12 with a few kids on very short notice. They opened up the empty upstairs area for us which was great. There's even a tv or two up there in case you want to watch sports. I liked the beer and cocktail list and was happy to try a new-to-me Odell seasonal from their rotating tap, as well as a Dry Dock Apricot. My friend and I shared a bunch of things - the mushroom truffle arugula pizza ($11.50), a side of mac and cheese, a side of garlic parsley fries and the brussels sprouts. I was excited because those are some of my very favorite things. The pizza was good though it had sour cream on it and didn't really need it, if you ask me. I'd rather just have more arugula. The fries were skinny and tasty. The brussels sprouts were drowning in an asian sauce (per the menu) and it was incredibly salty. We couldn't finish them and we are serious sprouts lovers so that was a bummer. The mac and cheese brought to us was accidentally the mini bowl of carnitas mac and cheese ($6), not the plain side of mac ($3). Since my sharing friend was vegetarian, this was unfortunate. We couldn't finish that either. It wasn't worth raising a stink because our very friendly waitress was already overwhelmed by our large group. She split up the tabs by couple which was awesome - not perfectly but close enough. My husband also had the carnitas mac ($12) in a bigger serving and said it needed a lot of hot sauce (not on the tables but they will bring it if you request). Others had burgers (these looked delicious) and salads but none really got scarfed up, or even completely finished. I would have no problem coming back, but man there are a bunch of other places I already love downtown and even just on this block, so it wouldn't be my #1 pick. But they do have plenty of space and no wait.

    My husband and I ate here last week on a trip to Denver and loved our food. When I ordered the tacos, our waitress recommended that I try the "sticky belly" taco. It was so good that I wish I had gotten all three sticky belly tacos instead of getting three different kinds! Special thanks to this waitress, too, for helping us figure out how to take the light rail back to our hotel.

    This place used to be my co-workers and my favorite after work spot. The bartenders were amazing, cordial, and attentive, and the food was fantastic. I just don't know what's happened lately. One by one, all our favorite bartenders have left. I have continued to try to support Tom's but my last two times there were so off-putting. I had one female bartender that almost completely ignored us, as we waited with empty glasses for 45 minutes. Then there's a younger guy who is so arrogant that I seriously left my full drink and went across to Ocean Prime. Opposite ends of service, neither were good. The quality of the food wasn't great last time either. My two favorites, brussel sprouts and mac and cheese, weren't even worth the happy hour price. Sprouts were greasy and the mac and cheese literally had a few noodles (10 maybe?), and all cheese. Overall, I'm disappointed. I really loved Tom's, and I don't know if there's been a management change, or what's going on, but I sure wish it could have stayed the way it was. We really enjoyed it. Time to move on!

    Tom's is located on a perfect corner for a 24 hour joint. During my two day trip here, I must have walked past this place 6 times so I imagine they get a lot of business this way. I came here twice in 2 days! First, we came here for a late dinner Friday night and I liked everything we ordered. Drinks- Nice looking cocktail list, creative whiskey drinks, pitchers of booze (!) and affordable wines Eats- Great variety on the dinner menu, everything from pizza, to pho, to pot pies. My friend Kim E. and I split the hoisin duck pizza and a few tacos. The pizza was just perfect and pretty big and the tacos were more than enough for 2 to split. The second time we stopped in just for drinks and sat at the bar. It's a totally different experience since the bar is in the back half of the restaurant. The bartenders were wearing cute outfits and knew their drinks. Good times.

    I went here with a bunch of friends for HH the other night. I liked the atmosphere but hadn't expected it to be a sports bar (meaning there are TV's everywhere with different sports games on). Totally fine with that, but unexpected for me. The wine selection was very limited and I didn't like any of them that I tried. The food was quite good - definitely try the brussel sprouts! It wasn't very crowded and at one point waited 20 minutes and 3 reminders to get a beer. I hate how negative this sounds but so many other places are stellar so if you're sub-par I'm going to review it that way.

    Came here after the "Taste of Colorado" was so horrific. What a waste of money. Anyways....Nathan was our bartender and was great.     So three stars. I actually went out of my way to leave a review for this place because it was so... average? The decor inside is nice... really liked the light fixtures... the place is pretty big and (at least at dinner time) very noisy, and filled with bros. Lots of TVs, some showing sports, some showing music videos for the fairly loud music. The food was mediocre; totally edible and fine, but it seemed kind of expensive for what you got. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out except the prices. Our waiter was a very nice young man and I'd say service was good, except I got the wrong dressing on my salad (oh well). Would I go back? Maybe if someone else wanted to go for some reason, but never on my own, because IMHO a $25 entree should be pretty effing tasty, not just "okay." We split a slice of cheesecake for dessert; it was probably the best thing I had there. Yet another average thing about the place was the menu... I just wasn't impressed with the things on offer. It was like a bar menu that had been fancied up. If the idea of bar food that's been made more upscale appeals to you, this might be a place you'd enjoy visiting. As for the bar itself, I didn't try any cocktails, but reading other reviews I'm guessing it was average as well.

Kitchen not flexible to make a breakfast burrito during brunch when they have a regular burrito on the menu along with all of the other ingredients needed and when they used to have it on their menu... Waitress said that at least 4 other tables had asked about their breakfast burritos earlier the same day... Listen to your customers and what they are asking for. Bring back the breakfast burritos! Also, should probably put sweetener on the tables if you're gone to be serving coffee for brunch so that people don't have to ask for it and wait while their coffee gets cold... All that said, th food is ok and the ambience is good.

    We got the Colorado calamari, honey chipotle wings, shrimp and lobster taco and the crispy Brussels sprouts with Asian vinegarette appetizers after watching Chappelle perform at the comedy works club. Funny show and good food to go with it. Nice funky digs and wasn't even that busy for a Friday night. Coming from Jersey the state of diners this place was on point and service was as good as it can get. Would want to come back and try breakfast and lunch as well. Good location, food, and service. .. what more can you ask for?

    We loved this place for happy hour. Not anymore. Today we went. They changed their menu pricing etc. Today was the last happy hour at toms urban. It used to be one of the best happy hour in denver. Even tho the service was great from bartender.

    Solid brunch spot. I came here on a Saturday morning with a friend. We go seated quickly and I ordered a mimosa. $7, I thought they were bottomless and 2 more later I figured out they weren't. Oh well. I got the breakfast burrito, it was good, with lots of flavor and VERY filling. Good vibe, parking is well, downtown parking.

    I'd give this place five stars, but there were special circumstances involved so I will reserve that judgment. No, on second thought, this was a five-star experience all around. You see, a bunch of us went over there late at night during Comic Con, so we were all exhausted and starving. We found out as con attendees we'd get a discount of 50 percent on all entrees -- yay! Some people had thick pumpkin pancakes or the best smelling blueberry pancakes on earth; I never was aware of the aroma of pancakes until I smelled these. I wasn't too hungry so I had an appetizer of delicious browned Brussels sprouts with Asian vinaigrette dressing, a side of ham, and a lovely English muffin with honey butter and jam -- plus two beers which I definitely was in the mood for. Others had a variety of dinner entrees and soft drinks. Everyone had so much food, they were urging others to take some. Guess how much our bill was for seven guests? $52! We were blown away. A big tip was in order, of course, and our lovely waitress definitely deserved it. This is a place that supports Denver and offers good food 24/7. Love it.

    Meh. That's my exact reaction to Tom's Urban 24. My best friend sent me birthday money and specified that I should spend it here, because she lives to far to try it out for herself, so I happily obliged. I wanted to check it out anyway. We ordered two different meals, one of which was the Fried Chickenlooper with corn cakes. Both meals were just ok, it was nothing special, nothing that I even remember actually. The food was under seasoned and over priced in my opinion. The deviled eggs appetizer was the best part of our whole experience, and they were just good, not great. The Mule drink that they serve was very good too! I agree with another Yelper who said that you should hit this place for drinks and skip the food. All-in-all, I won't be back.

    The arugula, truffle, mushroom pizza is amazing. Also, they have a Prime Rib Hot Open Face Sandwich. Looking at it, you wouldn't think it's a sandwich, but there's bread buried under there. And it tasted amazing too. I have brought friends here and all have liked the food. As for the service, it's pretty good too. I would recommend this place.

    Just paid $14.50 for the Urban Chopped Salad that I could have paid eight bucks for at Denny's. My buddy had a mushroom burger that he said was "pretty good". I might give it another try but my first impression is that it was pretty expensive for what it is.

    We showed up an extremely busy morning - opening day of the Rockies. The bar was slammed and the tables were full. We sat at the bar and even though they only had one bartender on duty that day, he managed to juggle all of the drink orders as best as possible and always kept tabs on us as well. We enjoyed the chorizo breakfast burrito (smothered with a green chile with good spice!) and the Larimer breakfast which is your basic egg, toast, potato, meat breakfast. What wasn't basic about it was the potatoes - it was like a mashed potato hashbrown. Crispy and really flavorful. I chose the breakfast sausage links and they were links with nice flavor and spice. I especially enjoyed the blueberry compote/jam included with the breakfast - not because it went well on toast but because it was actually good with the sausage links. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails while watching the pandemonium unfold around us. We hope that next time the bartender has some additional help on busy days :o)

    This place is absolutely amazing! We came for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner because the atmosphere, service and food was to die for! Our waiter was friendly and knowledgable. We ordered drinks, the calamari and fried brussel sprouts. Both were amazing with a tad of spice. Afterwards I got the tortilla soup and we shared the truffle spinach pizza. It was SO good! We decided to go for dessert and went with the pineapple upside-down cake. There were three of us sharing and it was perfect. I'll be coming back again and again!

    Quite possibly the worst service I've had in Denver. After waiting 25 minutes for an order of calamari, we let the waitress know we were going to a show at the Paramount at 7pm. Her response? "Well, I just put the order in, so it will come out as soon as it's ready." SERIOUSLY? Everything else seems insignificant after that comment, but I'll lay it out for you anyway. The entrees came out in thirds - some of the kids' meals, some of the adults', no rhyme or reason to it. One salad had no dressing on it, and it took two reminders for the waitress to get it. The $14 chopped salad was terribly bland with scant amounts of goat cheese and avocado on top. I could make a tastier version at home. On top of all of that, it was hot as hell upstairs. The ONLY good thing about the entire night, which bumps my review from one star to two, was the fig and goat cheese pizza. That being said, mine had four walnuts on top, and my friend's had none. No reason to go back, and I will be writing a strongly worded letter to the management.

    Meh, not bad or anything, but pretty mediocre. It was priced appropriately for Larimer Square, but the food did not match up. Our $8 drinks were ok, but no better than a cheaper one elsewhere. Service was good. We had the tacos and a mac & cheese appetizer. Both were very average at best.

    My group dined at Tom's before seeing the opera last weekend. No, diner fare isn't what you'd normally think of as a pre-opera meal... but Tom's isn't your typical diner. I walked in and received a friendly greeting from about three people hovering around the hostess stand. I had already located our group at a table up front, so I headed straight over. I was quickly greeted by our friendly server and put in a drink request (diet coke, nothing fun... hey, I was about to sit through an opera). Service throughout the evening was wonderful. They got a dozen of us in and out in about an hour, but we never felt rushed. He also did separate checks for each of us, which is a PITA (but one I greatly appreciate when dining with a group). On to the food! Nearly everyone at the table got something different, and everyone really enjoyed the food. I opted for the 24 Chopped salad, which was incredibly fresh and very tasty. Others enjoyed their tacos, steak, shrimp salads... there was too much to keep track of! Would I go back? Absolutely. In fact, I'm very much looking forward to it!

    The food is okay. Nothing special. They no longer sell donuts. We had the margarita pizza which is a flatbread tomato sauce and cheese with a sprinkle of basil (practically flatbread w/ cheese no extra tomato on top) and the bacon avocado burger. The burger was good but they season the sweet potato fries with brown sugar so it's a little different. The atmosphere is modern, the service is decent. All in all it's okay

    Tom's Urban 24 is a legit spot for a good meal. Like others have said the decor is very very similar to Snooze. This place is very modern and cozy. I was seated on the upper level. The upper level is very comfortable & spacious with lots of tvs. I was here on a Sunday and was able to be seated right away. The carnitas breakfast burrito was the ish!!

    Delicious yet different comfort food is how I would describe Tom's Urban. I went with my husband and a friend and we opted to split a bunch of things, so I tried quite a bit. The fig grilled cheese probably left the most lasting impression on me, followed by the mac and cheese with green chile. We tried three of the tacos, and they were all excellent but personally I liked the carnitas the best. We went a little crazy and also ordered the Colorado Hot Brown, which is almost more of a pot pie than an open faced sandwich. It was sooooo goooood, but I was glad I was splitting it because it was a pretty serious dish. We tried both the regular fries and sweet potato fries as well, and each came with their own type of house-made ketchup which were delicious. The shoestring fries were also cooked with some sort of herb in them. I appreciate a place that doesn't just slap basic fries on the plate for your side. I also had to try the WTF drink because it just sounded so insane. It was Jim Beam 8 Star Whiskey, red wine, Coors Light, orange juice, and simple syrup. I know... wtf, right? But it was actually really good! I have no idea how they came up with that, but I'd have it again. This Floridian certainly enjoyed the comfort food at Tom's while in cold Colorado. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Denver.

    2.5 stars... My friend and I made reservations and were seated immediately. Our water and coffee came out pretty quickly... terrific! We decided to share one savory (chorizo and green chile omelet) and one sweet (lemon poppyseed pancakes). I had asked if the omelet was smothered before deciding between the omelet vs breakfast burrito. I think their idea of "smothering" is different from mine. In case you think that smothered means covered, be warned that at this restaurant, smothered = a half ladle of sauce drizzled on top. And no extra cheese that melts onto your chile. So... hmm. Also, the omelet was advertised/listed as a four-egg omelet. FOUR EGGS! That's HUGE! After having the three egg omelets at OHOP, I thought we'd have a monstrous omelet. Not so much. Tom must use the extra small eggs. It was nice that the omelet had the tortilla strips mixed in... it gave the omelet an interesting crunch. The pancakes were pretty good. I loved the slivers of lemon peel (fried? candied?) that were sprinkled on top. But the batter was a bit denser than I would have liked. I also noticed that as our meal progressed, our coffee and water service slowed considerably. At one point, my friend asked for his coffee to be topped off... so the server came and filled his cup, but left mine half-full. Didn't even ask if I wanted more. For a restaurant in Larimer Square, I suppose I expected better service. Pros: 1) convenient location. 2) open 24 hours 3) lotsa tables 4) nice big cups of coffee 5) cheap! breakfast entree plus coffee should be $12 or under. Cons: 1) service is inconsistent... even with the same server. 2) not the tastiest. decent and nothing to specifically complain about, but i've had better green chile for cheaper and better pancakes elsewhere. 3) downtown parking can be... unpleasant.

    So, its fairly pricey, but I LOVED this place!!!! The decor is amazing, the location coudlnt be better, and the food was incredible. We started with the small portion of the green chile mac and cheese. Being from New Mexico, I was skeptical, but it was very delish! The heat was there, but so was the flavor of the Mac! I had the Lodo Adobo burrito. I got it 'Christmas' style (Red and Green Chile). Burrito was good, but Chile was excellent. My friend got the black bean burger with sweet potatoe waffle fries. Fries were great, but the burger was better. Great textrue! Cant want to come back here!

    Yuck. This place will be closed within 6 months. I was hesitant because I've been to Tom's on Colfax....once....and it was so gross I didn't go back so when coworkers recommended we go there for lunch today I didn't want to put up a stink and went along. The menu is all over the place they have mexican, pho and american. It's huge with lots of seating and was packed but I don't know why. The food is gross. I got the "Holiday Special" and $18 crab enchilada. It was dry and tasteless except for the overwhelming jalapenos with crappy mexican rice. My coworker got the turkey sandwich which was overloaded with mayo. A bland cobb salad and a decent ginger dressed salad with chicken rounded out our order. $70 buck for crappy food! It's like they want to be Snooze but fail miserably. Yeah, good luck staying open.

    So it's been a couple of months since the initial poor reviews of this place and it's apparently still all pomp and no circumstance. Checked this place out during a visit to Denver. This place was so disappointing it was comical. Have a seat...this may take a while. There were four in my party, so we got the opportunity to partake of various breakfast offerings. I'll start with the good stuff - the list is shorter: - Interior: Adorable modern diner-style dining with the rounded booths and lofted dining area. Cute and inviting. Couldn't make up for the poor quality food, though. - Service: We were served by a kid named Jason. In spite of the fact that we lamented our way through the entire breakfast, this kid was spot on. Got our order exactly right. Got our pancakes comped (more on those later). Got the heat turned down for us (does management not realize that heat rises?). Stellar! - Eggs: I am that annoying person that orders my eggs over-medium, and I'll keep doing it in spite of the fact that places NEVER get them right. I want them soft, but not all over my plate. Tom's over-medium eggs were flawless, but maybe that's just because they excel at not cooking things completely (see below). One point above is for that fact alone. - Homemade Pop-Tart: IF you happen to check this place out in spite of the reviews to the contrary, you have GOT to get the homemade pop-tart. The mixed berry pop-tart was the highlight of our visit! - Water: The wait staff kept it full. So there's that... Okay, now for everything else: - Urban Bloody: The hubs and I had Urban Bloodies. $9 for approximately 8oz of worthlessness - they were bland and overly chunky. I prefer not to have to pick my drink out of my teeth, but maybe that's just me. When I asked for additional Tabasco sauce, I was brought a large bottle without a governing spout. Yep...poured about 2 tbsps of hot sauce in my glass. Who hands a patron an open-spout bottle of hot sauce??? I get it...I could have checked (which is why I didn't ask for a replacement), but come ON! - Options: For a CO-sourced restaurant, we were appalled to find that there were no meat options other than pig for breakfast. With the culturally diverse and ethically conscious patronage that this place is likely to gain, we were awestruck that there was no option for turkey sausage, veggie sausage, or the like. A serious flaw. - Pancakes: Initially, we were complimentary. Then we ate further in. How do you undercook a pancake? I mean, who doesn't like dough, right? But if we had wanted pudding, we would have ordered pudding. Oh, and for your awareness, if you order blueberry pancakes ($0.50 more than the regular), there are NO blueberries in the pancakes themselves. They simply smear blueberry juice across the top and throw them on a plate. C'mon... - A.M. Burrito - Christmas-style: Comes with red and green chile sauce (hence, the "Christmas" in Christmas-style). A friend complained of a lack of taste and overabundance of...well...it was just too damn big. The red chile sauce was quite bland. - Coffee: They tout their Boulder Organic coffee. This stuff was the consistency of melted chocolate and I'm sure if my friend checks back, she will have hair on her chest. She asked for an alternative - they had none. All in all, the company was great and the service solid. I love the fact that they have a full bar, but do not condone the prices. I absolutely would not go back. However, you don't have to listen to me...just be sure to ask for Jason!

    I've been to Tom's on several occasions and have been a big fan since I was lucky enough to attend the fantastic soft opening. Tom, himself, is very gracious and will always take the time to stop and chat with regulars. It's a subtle, yet rare touch I wish more owners and restaurateurs would practice. The menu is highly imaginative, diverse and is sure to fill any craving you may have, any time of the day. Tom's is one of those rare places that's perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner--any day of the week. The space bristles with energy and is always filled with happy faces and gregarious conversation. Putting aside my bias, I'd have to agree that overall consistency is still the restaurant's main challenge, which I hope it can eventually overcome. Weekday lunches can take up to 25+ minutes for food to appear and your favorite dish may not have the same 'pop' each time. Also, the customer experience can noticeably vary, depending on which server you get. Recommended tries: midnight slopper, MTA pizza, TMS burger, green chile mac n' cheese

    What a great time at the Yelp Elite event at Tom's Urban 24. Tom and his staff put on a wonderful event. The food was plentiful and great tasting, the drinks were flowing and his wait staff was right on time, friendly and made everything comfortable for all the Yelpers.     I saw another review that moaned and groaned about the shrimp avocado salad, but I thought it was delish. The dressing was so amazing, albeit a bit too much - I'd have it again but on the side. My friend got the lobster taco and the brussels sprouts and said they were both good as well. We arrived for a quick dinner around 6pm on a Friday night before seeing a show at the performing arts complex. It was fairly busy but there wasn't a wait, so it worked out great for us. The service was good and our server was very accommodating when we mentioned that we had to leave by 7 in order to make it to the show. I would definitely come back.

    After a Friday morning meeting was postponed last minute, my colleagues and I found our way to Tom's Urban 24. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and decided to sit at the bar. Ryan, the super awesome bartender made the experience for us. He was incredibly knowledgable about the menu, gave us a tiny sample of his signature cocktail, the Jaded Mary (had I not been headed back to work, I would have totally indulged), and walked us through our food selections. Overall, I had a great Friday morning thanks in part to Ryan and Tom's Urban 24. I will definitely be back.

    Although the wait can be annoying, the food has always been great. People have to understand that this place is open 24 hours and they deal with drunk people all the time. The staff has to be pretty patient with customers so I give them props. I recently ordered the Brussels sprouts and some kind of pizza and both items were so good. I've been craving the Brussels sprouts since then. I've had a lot of stuff from the menu and have never been disappointed.

    I've eaten at Tom's Urban 24 three times - twice for brunch, once for dinner - and have enjoyed the food and experience there every time. The atmosphere is bright, fresh, and urban. For dinner, I had the Korean tacos and the Lobster & Shrimp tacos and they were amazing! The Lobster & Shrimp taco had this amazing smoky flavor, the Korean tacos had the right kind of spice and tang. I don't remember what I've had for brunch in past visits, but I do remember walking away feeling like I just had a great meal. I also appreciate how many healthy options are on the brunch menu. I personally had a good experience with service when we were there for dinner. We had tickets to the Book of Mormon and had to leave at a specific time. Our server was very sensitive to this, and was very attentive to make sure we were able to leave on time. If you are looking for a place that has a fresh & fun environment, good food, and great prices (especially for the Larimer area), I recommend this restaurant.

    I really liked this place, it's hard to say the "type" of food, but everything we had was delicious! We started with the duck wings, popcorn, white bean dip and brussel sprouts. The duck wings were flavorful and meaty, the popcorn was tangy and salty, the bean dip was good, but fairly unremarkable and the brussel sprouts were incredible. A little too charred on the outside, but soo so good. We all had a variety of entrees; truffle pizza, burritos, tacos and everything was incredible. Our server was great, when we asked for recommendations she shared them and was always right on the money. The drinks were heavy pours and tasty as well. Well worth the visit, we will be back!

    Ehhhh. Your cholesterol will certainly sky rocket. Greasy spoon fare that serves it's purpose. Agree with other reviews regarding the pokey service. You will sit around a LONG time before you order, get food or drink refills and the bill takes forever. Not worth the price of admission.

    Lunch with the kids, wife, and mother-in-law. Two mushroom, truffle, swiss burgers and a bacon barbacoa burger. Two kids pizzas. Burgers were not much better than something you'd get at Denny's. Not bad, but fairly bland and not worth anything close to $13 a pop. Kids seemed to like their pizzas. Service was fine, but not great. I felt like we were paying for decor. We will not be returning.

    Impressive concept, nice interior design, fair pricing, service could be better as we had a simple request for no mayo but there were GOBS all over the korean sandwich (seemed like a simple enough request). The fries are not unique or special so that was disappointing as one could just get them anywhere. The barbacoa breakfast burrito was also not a personal "favorite," as it was for owner Tom, because the bland egg was just a big mass on one side, and overall could have had better flavor. The green chili had no substance, was flavorless and thin. I was completely unimpressed and prob won't return or recommend it. Although the menu appears to offer unique flavors and spins, they should at least get the basics right first.

    First time at Tom's. I had the tacos: barbacoa, carnitas, and the best of all chicken adobo. They were served "street-style" with soft corn tortillas. A unique garnish of picked onions was a tasty touch. It was all excellent. I had the Brussels sprouts as an app. I've never had sprouts this way. Wow. Amazing. Highly recommended for a night out in Lodo. The decor is fresh and the staff were helpful and friendly.

    We ate here on a Sat evening after the Christmas show at DCPA. I felt like the experience was just average - not bad but didn't stand out. The decor & vibe is fun (though a little loud). There was a huge menu to choose from with fun Denver names for the entrees (Chickenlooper anyone?). I got the taco trio. The tacos were just ok but the beans and rice were awesome! Two of our 6 entrees were off ( wrong fries, wrong gravy) but the waitress did bring the correct choices when pointed out. All and all, it was an average dining experience. I might give it a second chance but with so many awesome options at the same price point in Denver, it might be a while!

    Pho'king awful pho. Classic Eggs Benny is pretty damn decent. Honestly, what can you expect when white people make pho? But this was bad. Broth was brown, no noodles, no pork(I ordered the carnitas pho.) Skip that shiz if you like phol The classic eggs benedict was solid though. The environment kinda sucks and there is no "buzz" like a diner should have. I'd gladly skip this place for the real Tom's or Denver Diner. The one redeeming fact is that the bartender Lee made it tolerable. She was sweet and forthcoming. She was an utter professional. Sorry Tom, not for me...

    Tried this for the first time since another restaurant had too long of a wait. Service was spot on. Refills came promptly and there were continuous check-ins to see if everything was okay. Food was pretty good. A decent amount to choose from. The food is a bit overpriced, in my opinion. I could see myself visiting again in the future when in the area.

    Tried this place this morning. Decor is fun and funky. Took awhile to get served, not crowded at all. Ordered bannana pancakes and was served eggs benedict! Lemon/blueberry pancakes were good. At $3. a pancake, it was pricey. No reduction of bill due to inept waitress who admitted to getting order wrong. Had to ask for coffee and tea refills. Nice to see local artist Tracy Weil's large painting inside. Needs a sign at the end of long hall to restrooms pointing out who's is where. Not anticipating a return visit.

    The food here isn't bad but the management is terrible. A friend and I ordered burgers and the menu clearly said "add a side salad for $2" but when the check came we were each charged $5 for what was the smallest salad I've ever had (lettuce and tomato only). After the manager said he would take one off for us we only realized they had put it back on after we paid our check! When I complained directly to the manager he basically told me they don't honor the prices printed in the menu and that the $2 side salad must have been a misprint. Never going back again!

    Let down! I've been waiting for months for this place to open. The concept and location are so appealing, as have all the write ups been and the photos they have been posting on FB. Sadly, the hype did not live up to my expectations. Our server was awful. Water took 15 minutes and 3 request to arrive and was luke warm, The orange juice was clearly out of a can and very warm. Our food took quite sometime time to come out which is to be expected for opening weekend, but when it arrived it was luke warm , the toast dried out and the side of bacon we requested was not included. The basic ingredients are quality and the menu seems good so I will try it again, but I will be waiting for Tom's to pick up the slack in the service department.

    OK giving 3 stars because yes it was their opening weekend and there is potential for this place. So after a long weekend dealing with a wedding party we went here for breakfast which is around the corner from the Four Seasons. We thought, hey breakfast and bloody marys how easy is that? Well when we got there we were sat upstairs and greeted by our server (forgot her name) she was AWESOME! We ordered our drinks, coffee and orange juice. When we got our drinks my OJ tasted like that Donald Duck juice, remember the kind you got in grade school? OK, not my taste, moving forward... We ordered breakfast a 4 egg veggie omelet, side of english muffin, side of bacon, lemon poppy seed pancakes and side of roasted brussel sprouts. We waited as our server came over and said breakfast is coming out soon, we looked at the time and 56 minutes had passed, she then came back and said oh sorry we are out of our lemon poppy seed pancakes so we said OK the blueberry pancakes. We were getting so hungry my friend ordered a bloody mary at this point and I walked over to Starbucks to get my coffee as they did not have soy milk. We waited another 10 minutes or so and she came back and said they have the lemon poppy seed pancakes, oh great! We asked how much longer it would take as we need to be at the airport by noon and it was already 10:30ish and we had gotten there around 9:00! Server apologized and the manager then came over and advised they were really behind and that he would cover our tab. Food then came out 15 minutes later and let's just say it was not a 4 egg omelet, our bacon was a sad 2 strips of shriveled bacon, the brussel sprouts were so shredded and overcooked we didn't touch them, my english muffin was doughy and not crispy as an english muffin should be and they gave us the BLUEBERRY PANCAKES not the lemon poppy seed we originally ordered and then advised they were out and then they had them again. OUI VEY!!! We ordered 3 more bloody marys... The manager and one of the investors it seemed was walking around the restaurant and they did not look happy. The kitchen sounded like it was a mess and maybe they need to get things a little more organized. Tom's Urban 24 is lucky to have great staff because this dining experience was a DISASTER! I hope things get better for them because the space is great and everyone is always looking for a great breakfast spot. I may visit again if I visit CO again because again we have our off days.     Had breakfast with a few friends here and well we were seated right away, we had to wait some time for the waitress to take our drink and food orders. We actually had to re-order our drinks due to the wait with another waiter. Place was maybe a quarter full and it was about 10:00AM so unsure why the service was so slow. My food came out correct and was delicious but the other two friends I was with had to follow up on their full meal. Other than being open 24 hours and in Larimer Square, this place doesn't have much going for it.

    Great location and never a wait which I guess is good and bad. Attention to detail and customer service is not good. We received an order of hash browns that looked like it was swept off the kitchen floor and served. We've eaten here before for breakfast and wanted to give it a second chance and the hash browns were actually good the first time so not sure the disconnect? My eggs benedict was pretty good until I bit into my half very cold muffin. When you slice a muffin you should aim to slice it evenly. So one side was so thick it was cold in the middle and the other side was so thin it was burnt?? Again attention to detail. We asked for new hash browns which were way better and way different than the first batch. It only took 20+ minutes to get and just as I was about to tell them to forget it the hash browns show up. Didn't care to go into why my muffin was cold with the waitress. Too many great restaurants in Denver to go back to and even try new ones to deal with this type of service. In hindsight we should of waited the hour at Snooze. Same price, way better quality of food and service.

    Saw the new restaurant on the corner of 15th & Larimer and thought that Denver Restaurant Week would be a great opportunity to check it out. It wasn't really that busy, the food was good and wait staff very friendly. But a few weeks later, when I got my credit card statement in the mail and noticed that the amount was more than I had recorded, I got suspicious. Was our server amping up his tip and hoping no one would notice? So I emailed the restaurant and asked them to verify my credit card receipt for the payment amount I authorized. If I had it wrong, so be it...but that was nearly a month ago and I have not received a single reply. So either, they have verifiied that I was fraudulently charged and they don't want to admit it, or they can't find the credit slip and have decided to just let it go without a reply at all. Either way, they have lost any future business from me. My suggestion: if you insist on going there, KEEP your credit card slip until you verify the final charge on your statement.

    I gave it a 1-star because I couldn't give it a 0-star! I hope today was an anomaly, but I experienced the WORST restaurant bar experience in my life. After 45 minutes of waiting for a breakfast burrito, I and the other 15 people around who had ordered in the past hour were informed that the kitchen was closed and they had known that for nearly 2 hours. Pathetic. The staff would say things like "they're learning in the kitchen" and "we've only been open for 5 days". This was after it took 20 minutes to change the TV channel to the Broncos game when there were a lot of Bronco fans there to watch the game. If you're not ready, then don't open. If you open....then any reasonable clientele expects A LOT MORE....not excuses after an hour wait. I simply have never experienced such a disorganized restaurant/bar experience. What a shame, as this is a corner space in Larimer Sq....not some strip mall in suburbia. As a LoDo resident, I was looking for a 'new find'.....what I found was not just disappointing, but infuriating. It was so absurd the experience for me and the 15 people around me, it became simply surreal and comedic. One hour of my life I will never get back, one brunch burrito I NEVER GOT after an hour...and nothing but EXCUSES by the Asst. Mgr. DON"T OPEN IF YOU'RE NOT READY.

    We were looking for a quick, late-night dinner on a Friday night on Larimer Square and happened upon Tom's. The place was bustling with diners at tables and others with just drinks at a bar in the back. Despite being a diner, the place was hip and modern; I think it just recently opened. In order to avoid what could be a long wait, we took a slightly smaller table for our group of six. But shortly after they were able to accommodate us at a bigger table. All the drinks and gourmet diner-type food sounded sooo good. Three of us got the Urban Mix 'n' Match Tacos: one with the Adobo chicken, one with barbacoa, one with carnitas. Each had tender meat and amazing flavor, but my favorite was the barbacoa - slow-roasted barbacoa beef, red chile sauce, pico de gallo, queso fresco, lime, sour cream. Yuuummmyyy! Although three small street tacos was enough for me, the two guys could have eaten more. And unfortunately rice and beans costs extra to add. Everyone else really liked their food. The smothered burrito and club sandwich were both enormous! Though servings were large on average, prices were a bit high. A woman who seemed to be the manager checked in on us at during our meal, which is always nice to see. Our waitress was nice, but we didn't see her as often as we would have liked.

    Everything I've tried here has just blown my mind. The decor is trendy and upbeat; our handsome server was very helpful and attentive. This is my favorite place in Denver, as it offers a little bit for everyone. Just divine!

    Went to celebrate a friend's birthday, very cool atmosphere with good service,I had a burrito that the only thing I could taste was the cumin,yuck way to much.My friend had the grill cheese with fig sandwich she couldn't finish it way way to sweet, sad to say it was a disappointment.I'm not sure I will try it again, there are so many choices and to have an average experience isn't how I want to spend an evening.

    I'm pretty sure Tom and his Urban 24 borrowed the design team behind Snooze with the round, aqua and orange booths and bobbles hanging from the ceiling. However, the space is waaaaaay bigger and it's open 24 hours so there's probably no two hour wait. We had a reservation but wanted to go earlier and sit at the bar so we did that instead. The menu is all over the board: salads, popcorn, burgers, pizza, tacos, pho...I had enough overindulging for the day and was craving greens so I went for a salad. I think another reviewer mentioned it, but some of menus were old and had menu items that are no longer available (my menu of course). And per usual, I picked the item they don't carry anymore. I guess I like to be different? I wanted to get the Mahi Mahi Salad Salad, reason being that if I'm paying $15 for a salad, I may as well get one with spendier fish on it. Since they no longer make it, I went for the chopped salad minus chicken and bacon (yes, I eliminated the two spendiest ingredients so of course it wasn't really worth $14 or whatever I paid for it. My fault). I'm also pretty sure my bum menu went back into circulation. It was a pretty sizeable salad with corn, tomatoes, jicama, goat cheese, egg and avocado. The avocado had seen better days. Dressing was a pretty tasty green chile ranch and they serve it on the side which is nice. I also ordered rosemary truffle popcorn as an appetizer and I think it wasn't entered after the salad conversation went down. Fortunately our food runner guy was quick to bring it out. It was oddly delicious and oddly yellow (like the popcorn you get at Home Depot) so possibly artificial flavoring and definitely coloring. At $2, it's a good snack. The drink list is pretty extensive and, surprisingly, the cocktails I was drawn to were the $6 ones versus the $11 ones. I sipped on a rum drink with cucumber and mint and it was like a less tart mojito. I also saw them lighting some stuff on fire so their mixology program is probably something they'd like to stand out for. Extra noteworthy: TVs in the bathroom in the mirrors. I haven't seen anything like this before. As one of the only 24 hour dining options in Denver, I'd imagine this place would do pretty well with the post-bar crowd, especially as there are really no other options like it in the area. For the area though (and any other time not light night/early morning), I'd probably opt to spend a little bit more for some truly great food.

    Just stopped in for drinks. Greeted quickly by a very friendly FOH staff. They led us to the bar, very clean and well stocked. The very friendly bartender promptly took our orders after explaining the specials. Great beer selection including local brews. The bartender crafted a few very specific and well made cocktails for us. Reasonably priced and a great view of the Denver nightlife. We will be back.

    WOW did this place suck! Lets start with the obvious, this place is new and hip, but unlike Snooze it will not maintain its appeal in Denver. Denver is full of legit foodies and this place just blows. The wait for our food was over an hour. We ended up canceling our order and eating elsewhere. There were 3 bartenders, but nobody could manage to keep the drinks refreshed, and they seemed to not have the best liquor knowledge either. It was a Sunday Funday and they couldn't figure out how to put on the Broncos game. We're in Denver. On gameday. EVERYONE wants to watch the game. Good thing we caught the second half elsewhere. Lastly the owner, Tom. What a rude person. My friend tried to chat him up about his restaurant and his apparent famous past but he snubbed him and other people at the bar. Its very unlikely we will EVER head back here. I'd have to be way wasted at 3 am and not care that my food takes four years to come. Lammmeeee! Kick rocks Toms!

    I enjoyed nearly everything about my experience here a few weeks ago. I got there early and grabbed a seat at the bar and a good drink. Drinks are a little on the pricey side, but most of the menu items are reasonably priced, so it's a wash if you look at it that way. Once seated our server made a bunch of app suggestions. Highly recommend their fig flatbread and deviled eggs. For my entree I got the tacos, which 2 star, but everyone at the table really loved what they got. I'll be back for the mac & cheese which looked great.

    I was lucky enough to be soft opening Monday night...and so glad I attended. The concept is great and I am sure this place will be mobbed! We tried as much as we could. Brief rundown: Favorites: Duck wings, asian ribs, green chile mac and cheese, shrimp mac and cheese, truffle mushroom burger, tom's steak, fried chicken looper, all the tacos, ANYTHING on the specialty drink menu. Misses/needs tweaking: "urban pho" with chicken - too much like chicken noodle soup, calamari - weird breading and too big a serving to be an app. I can't remember what else I tried because I was too wrapped up in my steak, mac and cheese and cocktail. I will definitely be back. If you can, sit in Eve;s section - she rocks - gracious and unflappable. Owner Tom Ryan was very personable and charming and affable and took time to stop by a couple of times to answer questions and ogle the amount of food we consumed. So glad he was a good sport about it!

    This used to be the only place I would come after hours. Awesome food, normally; great service, normally. But if you're going to stay closed until 6:30am everyday, don't claim to be 24 hours. If your hours aren't consistent, don't post them. :)

    We were here sorta late so my expectations weren't high. I got the grilled fig jam and cheese. The bread was too crispy and the cheese was so melted it was hard. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs and ordered the steal medium rare. Not once, but twice, they brought the steak out rare. We were extra understanding, having both worked in the service industry. The manager bought our meal, but still not happy that they messed up a steak TWICE.
