Love this neighborhood restaurant that does a good job all around. I wish they had more legitimate gluten free options like gf bread, and hamburger buns. Had Sid the waiter who was AWESOME!! Funny, personable, and sassy!! A great place to watch any sports game, there are lots of TVs on all the walls and around the bar. I also like that they don't play the music too loud and you can actually have conversations with people at your table.

I Have been contacted and they are currently working to resolve all issues, The Tavern has been very active to make sure the experience I had was not typical, and have gone above and beyond what I expected to see me return as a customer. I will most definitely be coming back as the food and wait staff have been phenomenal in the past. Mistakes happen, but be comforted to know that The Tavern cares enough about you as a person to correct any perceived wrongs. Thank you! ORIGINAL REVIEW: The food is great, if it ever gets to your table the way your ordered it. And the servers are amazing, truly our waiter did his best, but when things go wrong on the kitchen side that many times, and then the manager comes out sheepishly to the table with still incorrect food. And does not appologize, or comp the meal appropriately. My family was done eating before my brother or I had gotten our 3rd replacement burgers. We did not have a complex order, the kitchen was just rushing because it was a saturday. I know mistakes happen, that's fine, and our waiter tried. But management, specifically the male blond manager in a Polo who would not even look me in the eyes to ask if there was any way to rectify the situation. That is what makes me not want to go back. They did not care about me, end of story.

Great patio in the summer . Love the mist on a hot day! Outdoor bar is a plus too Food is consistent and seems as though they try to expand the menu with seasonal selections

Came here last week. I had probably the best fish and chips ever. Same with the fried pickles. They were great. Came back three days later to have it again. This time I had probably the worst fish and chips ever. How do they go from one extreme to another? The fish breading was so burnt I just picked it off. Paid for the meal and we left. What's crazy is my wife and I both woke up later that night with the worst dry mouth ever. I assume from them over salting the food.

The Tavern Lowry has the identical menu to the other restaurants by the same name around town. I happen to like it better because of the wonderful patio and great salads. They've also recently changed their menu to clearly mark gluten free menu items! I wouldn't plan to head over to The Tavern, but whenever I happen to stumble in, I'm never disappointed.

I like The Tavern Lowry. I like it better than the other "Taverns" I have been to. The Choke is my favorite. A grilled artichoke with a nice remoulade. It can be a bit oily, but really good nonetheless. They have good salads and good sandwiches. Happy hour is nice, 2 for 1 house wines, certain drafts and house liquor. Nothing wrong there. And the patio is nice for summer. All in all, it's a decent neighborhood bar.

Went here for brunch, bottomless mimosas & bloody mary bar with four girlfriends. The bloody mary bar is great & they do fill up your mimosa glass quite often BUT the food is way too expensive for the price! Stick with the drinks & enjoy their HUGE patio - but be aware that you simply do not get what you pay for in the way of their dishes. Besides for only having one vegetarian breakfast option, the eggs benedict was sparsely covered in hollindase sauce. Having subbed bacon with spinach, I was hoping for a very GREEN plate, but alas, the spinach was also added very sparingly. Disappointing!

We're new to the neighborhood, and we were pleasantly surprised by The Tavern. Now, I'll preface this by saying we have not been to any of the other Tavern locations around town, so I'm not basing this review on a comparison of this one versus other locations. I have no idea on that! We sat outside on the patio, and because there's a full bar outside, the atmosphere out there is upbeat with plenty of people. My husband had a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was tasty, but nothing to write home about - it was the FRIES we were in love with! We both like sweet potato fries, so we order them often. These were probably the most flavorful ones I've had. I had the fish tacos, and I was quite satisfied. Good flavor, and the perfect portion size for me. =) I don't have any complaints. I'm sure we'll return!

Tavern-tastic! This bar/restaurant has a diverse menu with options for everyone. The patio at this location is perfect for a long lunch. The staff is just the right level of attentive. I want to go back and try all of the salads. My only complaint is that it seems a little overpriced for what you get. A lunch salad for $15 is more food than I can eat and really more than I want to spend. But the food and atmosphere are good enough to bring me back.

This is my favorite out of all the Taverns. Its huge and we had great service. The pickle chips are to die for. They added a new outdoor bar and patio space which is amazing! The music venue the Soilid Dove below it is fabulous and a great spot to see music.

Like others have said, the place looks great, but that's where it stops. The service is HORRIBLE! The food would have been really good had it not been cold. But the service was the absolute worse. We waited for 15 minutes to order two flat beers, so we missed Happy Hour and I could have argued this, but I didn't. We waited another 20 to order our food and it probably took 25 or more for two burgers that came to us cold. When the waitress came by to check on us after we had our food I reminded her I was still waiting for my beer. I probably waited a half hour for the server to bring the 2nd beer I ordered. Where has service gone these days?

A friend recently laid it to me straight, I need to start reviewing bad places in addition to good ones. So since she is smart, and I always take criticism so well, I've decided to review one of my biggest, and repeated, disappoints in Denver. The Tavern is in a great location (Lowry needs something cool), and the Soiled Dove has some good stuff come through. BUT, The Lowry Tavern is the worst example the The Tavern Hospitality Group's problems. Everything is way too expensive, portions too small, and nothing on the menu is very good. ALSO, when I say expensive, I mean like $20 for a salad. I should note that the Lowry version does not mimic the Uptown location, where at least you get some quality in your high priced meal. The atmosphere is actually nice, with a great patio, and friendly staff. But sadly this place is a big let down, and DO NOT allow your friends to convince you to come here. Here is to hoping Lowry gets a better bar option soon....

Two stars are generous. I was there last night with my son the service was BAD. The manager took our drink order I ordered water to start. The waiter showed up and took our order, never really treated us just asked for our order and didn't ask if I wanted something more than water. It was at least 10 minutes before he showed up again and then I actually had to stop him he was going to go right past our table!! I ordered a beer. By the time the waiter brought my beer over it was warm. Then finally our food arrived. I had the fish tacos they were swimming in water and had obviously been sitting under a warming lamp for a long time. I ate just the fish which had no seasoning and was very bland. I wanted to order something else when our waiter eventually surfaced so I ordered sliders and pretzel sticks and another beer. Because mine had been empty forever! After what seemed like forever our waiter came over with my beer. I asked where my food was and he told me about how he had taken 15 orders before mine and it would be out soon. When it did come out the sliders were dry from the heat lamp and the pretzels had cooled. I ate my food and left because I was feeling nice. The next day I called because I left something at our table the night before. After being put on hold for several minutes they hung up on me. When I called back the hostess was rude and snarky and put me through to the manager who this time didn't answer the phone at all!!! I left a message and they did not call me back. Needless to say I won't be back again.

There aren't a ton of bar type places in the area so this is a go-to place for many people. The Happy Hour is nice with good food specials and two for one beers or glasses of wine. The food isn't bad...I like the brunch especially. They have bottomless mimosas but they rarely come around to refill the glasses so you don't end up having too many. If you don't sit at the bar, the service is really bad. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5.

Tons of parking, 2 for 1 drafts before 7pm on weekdays I believe. Didn't partake in the food but I imagine it tastes just fine. A nice spot to chill after work and wait for traffic to cut out or watch a game. I'll be back for round two soon!

Decent food, average drink prices, ok service. Between this Tavern and the one Downtown, I will head here every time. There is actually parking here, the place is not packed with cougars and the floor is not sticky with spilled drinks. However, this place is much more a restaurant than the bar-like Tavern Downtown. I've been here twice, once for late night drinks when a show at The Soild Dove downstairs was sold out and once for brunch before a Soiled Dove show. This place is kind of out of the way, but I'm sure they get a draw from the venue attached. The late night menu is decent, cheap appetizers and a drink special of the day. I had an MGD and the marinated olives. The olives came in four flavors and there were a TON of them. I could have made that my meal (and maxed my fat content for the month). Our server was pretty attentive and our bill was low. Brunch here was really good. I had some kind of prime rib skillet that was wonderful. And, since they have decent beers on tap here, I got a wheat to go with it, yum! However, our server apparently could not do math and accused us of shorting the bill (I paid by credit and she had not taken my payment into consideration when totaling the bill). She was quite rude about it and did not want to hear us explain to her how we had not shorted and why. So, food good, service bad. I dunno. I didn't have such a great experience at The Soiled Dove and can't really fathom why I would trek all the way out to Lowry for any other reason, so the likelihood of me going back is pretty minimal. But, its a pretty decent spot if you're in the area.

Slow service, and the staff can't seem to get ANY to go orders right! The person taking our order listened to my allergy info. DAIRY ALLERGY- no cheese or aioli please. That's exactly what is says on the ticket. Before I left with my order I took the box out, opened up my burger to make sure there was no cheese. At first glance (because it was covered with lettuce) there was not so I went ahead and took it home to eat. Half way through my burger I tasted what was clearly cheese. Looked at it-seems as though the cook put cheese on it and then realized that it said dairy allergy and tried to scrape the cheese off- but only part of it had been scraped off!!! The last time was the same, but my husband picked it up and forgot to check before leaving the restaurant. COVERED in cheese even though the ticket says there is an allergy. Since the chef(s) can't seem to understand. We will NOT be returning here.

This last visit was far better than my initial experience. I went on a Sunday during brunch and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and offered me a choice of brunch specials including a "make your own bloody mary bar"... nice. I ordered the Mediterranean salad which was basically a steak salad with feta and olives (all the things I love w/ my lettuce). The steak was cooked perfectly. Literally the best rare steak I had had in ages. I also ordered the chicken nachos, which weren't great, but the cheese was melty and the jalapenos were deliciously fresh. It was great. The manager even came to my table to see if my service was fast enough and if my food was ok. Much better experience than my prior visit. Now, I will say, even if I have to go back on a Sunday...I will return.

This is an American restaurant, and they can't even serve me proper American food? I hate to be writing any negative reviews because I know how much work it takes to make a restaurant prosper, but I simply can't let this one go. I tried their Mac& Cheese, and was incredibly disappointed. I thought $15 for an "ultimate Tavern mac&cheese" would get me a wonderful party in my mouth of delicious and intricate flavors, but I was completely wrong. The 5 cheese sauce, I can't believe I am even saying this, was bland (to say the least) and runny. The chicken was moist, and obviously grilled to perfection, but it wasn't enough to bring up the quality of the mac and cheese dish. Overall, it was a major disappointment, and I simply can't believe they'd be serving this crap on the menu. The only reason why I didn't return the dish was because the waitress didn't even come back to our table to ask if the dish was alright. What a pity!!! My personal home version of Mac and Cheese includes a thicker cheese sauce blend of Sharp cheddar, Manchego, goat cheese, and parmeggiana topped with parmesan chips, grilled shrimp on a safron-roasted chipotle mayo, dry tomatoes, and garnished with parsley. You can steal this recipe if you want... then serve me actual effing food next time.

I was not impressed by this place. When I lived in Denver I had been to the Tavern Uptown to grab a drink and I recall the food being pretty good. I was visiting friends and they suggested we go to the Tavern in Lowery for dinner because it was close by. The service was terrible. The waitress forgot what we ordered and then would disappear for 30 mintues. She appologized for her poor service once but mostly disregarded that it sucked. This was a weeknight but I guess there was a show going on a the Soiled Dove. You think they would staff up knowing that a concert was going on next door. It is nice that there is parking and isn't downtown, but I doubt I would come back again.

Good place to see a show. Very horrible place to eat. Apparently mid rare is the same thing as well done for these cooks. That was my first time there. Went again for Sunday brunch which is just a different menu. Got the beef sliders. Was like eating an air hockey puck. Thank god for saracha sauce, only thing that made these bearable. Save your money as the price is nowhere near the quality of food. Server was pretty good.

If I could give zero stars, ii would. The WORST eggs Benedict the 4 of us ever had. The 4 of us ordered various iterations of it & 2 of us returned it (the others were too shy, which I found ridiculous). The hollandaise tasted like...nothing. No lemon, no richness, it was watery, & it was gritty!! The manager came over and we got it out of him that IT'S A POWDER you can get at Albertsons (brand : Knorr). Seriously? You can get a better Benedict at Perkins. No kidding. We will never return. It was seriously nasty.

Went here for my 21st birthday for the first time, because of their supposedly killer drink specials. Not always the case. Three Olives Vodka drinks were supposed to be $4 during their twilight hour, including flavored vodkas, not including martinis or red bull mixers. I ordered a drink that definitely did not have "tini" in the title, nor did it come in a martini glass. I was surprised when I saw the bill, and the drink was full price. When I mentioned it to our server, she told me that the drink was not part of the special, and did not offer an apology. Kind of a sad little way to start my birthday. Also chips and salsa were supposed to come with a refill, we ordered 2 for our table of 10. Our server took away the baskets of chips once they were empty, and never offered us a refill. We were never able to ask as we hardly saw her again until she dropped the bill. It was a Friday night, and they were busy, so maybe that wasn't her fault. She also left pitchers of water on the table so we could refill ourselves. Other visits have brought better service during lunch or for late night dinners, a majority of the servers were very friendly, knowledgeable and keep the drinks full. Burgers, sandwiches are good, and come with your choice of side. Clam Chowder was really tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised. I always order the Buffalo Latke Reuben, and have had varying levels of latke quality. Sometimes it's perfectly crisp on the outside, other times it's sad and soggy from hanging out under the heat lamp for too long. Atmosphere is loud, the kitchen is partially open so you can see in, and the bathrooms are clean. It's a bar with food. Not bad, not great.

We play at the Big Bear Ice rink every Monday night, starting three weeks ago and tried to make it a tradition to meet after our games at the Tavern at Lowry. At first glance it seems like a perfect place due to it not being busy at the time we come in which is about 8:30-9:30pm. There are 12-14 of us who all order drinks and appetizers, yet the server who we have had the last two times has been completely horrible to deal with. From forgetting my drink twice and charging me for three when only receiving one, to not being attentive at all when the place is close to being dead (at least the floor). She carries a lethargic attitude as to make it clear that we are not welcomed. In due respect, yes we just got off the ice and may not smell the best, that is why we have always secluded ourselves in the corner lounge. I have rarely been impressed with any of the three taverns that I have been to with the exception of Brunches at the Uptown Tavern on 17th st. The service is usually mediocre, which is expected at a high volume bar Downtown/Uptown yet never as bad as we experienced in Lowry. We will be trying the Elm next week and get back to you all on our experience there. Thank you, Mike

I really want to like this place, but every time I go there seems to be a problem. Either they are out of an item or the service is lousy, or the food isn't quite what I ordered. Its a shame really cause they have an extensive menu with tasty dishes, and their aren't really too many good restaurants in the Lowry town center. Every time I go I hope that they'll put it all together for that 5 star experience, but it hasn't quite happened yet..

My boyfriend and I went to dinner here last night before a concert at The Soiled Dove. The atmosphere of this place is beautiful and they have a nice bar area. Unfortunately, that is where the praise ends. We arrived around 6:45pm and stood at front waiting for a seating hostess for about 5 minutes. During that time a very confused-looking man stumbled up towards the front. I figured he was just another customer, but then he turned to a glass electronics cabinet and started changing the channels on the many TVs over the bar. So he pretty much ignored us even though he clearly worked there. A hostess finally came up and took us back to a table. Our waiter came and took our drink order (2 waters) and then left us alone with the menus for about 15 minutes. During that time he proceeded to walk by us every minute or so not looking at us or helping any other table, just sort of stalking by everyone like a prison guard watching a cell block. He came to our table around 7pm and asked if we needed more time. Um...no. We both ordered the California Burger, Medium, Gluten free. His with fries, mine with chips, and he did not write down our orders. He also came back once to ask if I wanted no bun on my burger when I had clearly asked for Gluten-free. It took another 15 minutes to get our burgers. We cut into the burgers and they were red in the center. More Black & Blue than Rare, and much more raw than the Medium we ordered. I went ahead and ate mine since I take my meat rare usually, but it was way too rare for my boyfriend to eat (also, it has been illegal to serve rare hamburger ever since the E. Coli outbreak at Jack in the Box in the early 90s). We tried to flag down our server, but he walked past us. He never once checked to see if we were ok, and even started cleaning another table when we tried to get his attention. At that point I got the attention of a Food Runner, who was apologetic and took the burger back to the kitchen to re-fire. So, now we're sitting there with food only in front of one of us, and every time the server walked by he didn't even notice or come to check on us. During that time he would also sneak up on several female servers, hugging them from behind or grabbing their arms. Clearly, the female servers were getting more attention from him that night than any of his tables. The burger took another 20 minutes to re-fire, during which time my boyfriend got up to use the restroom. It was not until he walked away that our server walked up and said "Uh, is everything ok here?" No, idiot, there is only one plate of food here. He didn't apologize or even offer to go back to the kitchen and see where the food was, he just mumbled that he would go get the manager. As soon as he left, another food runner brought back the plate, but by then it was too late. The manager came by and asked what happened. He ended up comping our bill for one of the burgers, but I still had to pay for mine. Hoenstly, this was the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I have gotten better service at fast food restuarants!

Very average high end bar type establishment with average bar type food. Had the ultimate prime rib cowboy chili, the apple walnut salad, and a stromboli on different occasions. Again, not bad but nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere inside is pretty nice and they have tons of tv's, but that's about it. The food is not that great especially for what they're charging. Everything tasted pretty bland, and the beer selection wasn't happening either.

I had lunch here today with a friend and it was quite nice. We sat out on the patio, in the sunshine and that felt good. I arrived before she did and since I had also had a major/minor emergency since making our plans, I decided to spend my time waiting for her saddled up to the bar with my other friend Pinot Grigio. The bartender was right on top of things and had my order and my extremely well chilled wine for me in a matter of moments. My girlfriend arrived and he transferred my wine to the tab at our table. Cool. Our server was nice and tried hard, it was clear she was newish ...she read the specials word for word, but made one sound so good we both ordered it, so good job! She described it as a Jamaican Jerk kinda salad with grilled shrimp and mango with a spicy sauce. It was not at all "Jerkish" in my opinion, but was very tasty nevertheless. I also do not fault the server for this because we all know each server is hand fed a description of the specials from the kitchen. There was a good amount of shrimp which is always a good thing where I come from. This is not the cheapest place to have lunch or maybe the very best of the best, but I had a really satisfying meal and one glass of wine and the backdrop for lunch with a friend that I really, really needed.

Is anybody at the Tavern paying any attention? Hello, is this thing on? GET SOME ONIONS AT YOUR BARS! Some of us prefer a good gibson to a martini. What the hell kind of bar does not have onions? After I complained to the staff at the Wash Park Tavern, they put eight jars of onions behind the bar. Did anyone at corporate think to order some onions for the other locations? Evidently not. Do not call yourself a tavern if you can not make the simplest of drinks.

I live a block and a half from this place yet this is still not my go to place for drinks and a quick bite. The service is hit or miss and the food is decent to sometimes great but the prices are a little inflated for what you get. Love the Thai chili wings and bloody mary bar and buffalo chili. The salads are usually hefty but still do not merit the price. Happy hour is their best deal for drinks, 2-for-1 on wine, well and draft.

A beautiful bar is a terrible thing to waste. With ZERO decent bars in the area, I had been wanting to check out this location for some time. This review will be short, because there just isn't much to say. Great looking bar with overpriced food considering the quality/flavor. Doesn't stay open even close to late, which baffles the mind since there is zero competition for miles. At least keep a partial bar open for late-night crowds. Everything above leaves zero motivation to return. I liken it to having a Porsche that isn't driven faster than 30 mph.

A lazy Saturday afternoon and we wanted to sit outside on a patio for lunch. The Tavern Lowry delivers in that regard. In fact, this is a great restaurant for open-air dining. Most of the windows open wide so even eating inside is like eating outside. The service was indifferent. They list a wine by the glass, but not by the bottle. I asked our waitress "how much for the bottle" and she said: "not in the computer". That wasn't what I asked. The food is above average bar food, but the prices are a little on the high side. Chicken Caesar salad at $12.50 was $2 overpriced. The chicken was moist and hot from the grill. Cowboy Chili with incredibly delicious cornbread was a good value at $10. My only complaint was that the chili was served in a large diameter flat bowl (so it appears to be more than it is) and it cooled off (even with ambiant temp at 84F) rapidly. Prime steak sandwich at $12 was a good deal. Huge sandwich and crispy fries.

I recently walked out of this establishment very pissed (American usage here, meaning very mad vs. British usage meaning very drunk). I was, in fact, not even slightly buzzed when I left. What happened? I sat down at the bar and waited for a bartender to help me with my problems; namely thirst and alcoholism. I waited and waited and... Well you get the picture. So, I left. BUT............................ Even though their service is unpredictable (I've also had great service here), I keep coming back for the Hawaiian Chop salad. It is crazy delicious and really filling. And I'm not exactly an "oh- I can't possibly finish this salad" kinda broad. Other good things about the Tavern: 1) Excellent live music venue 2) Calling all winos!! Thursday night 1/2 price bottle of wine. 3) Kid friendly. They've got colors, colors. ( A note for the child averse- I used to fit that bill.."Kid friendly" is an asset for me, cause I have one now. But it isn't like Chuck-E Cheese with the excessive noise and mucous that comes at "kid focused" places.) 4) The buffalo latke Reuben is a big, messy, guilt inducing gut bomb. And I love it. Plea to Tavern Lowry Mgmt.- Please tell you bartenders that if a thirty-something redhead shows up at the bar and looks like she could really use a cocktail- get her one for cryin' out loud. Pronto.

I like to pop in at odd hours to eat and try to avoid the crowds as that tends to skew the service in my favor. Not quite bar food, not quite restaurant food - I enjoy their delicious hamburger with the onion straws on top and their full bar makes it easy to ask for a Cherry Coke (the good kind with grenadine). Since I time it right, I can get great service and still get out of there in less than hour which makes it ideal for my ninja dining purposes.

I realized I love this location! I came in this morning for what I thought was lunch, since The Delectable Egg fell flat, I found out that The Tavern opens on Saturday at 10 am and they serve breakfast! The hostesses were very welcoming and smiled all of the time! I reconnected with an amazing bartender who has been here for 8 years! He was very knowledgable in all things spicy and we began to chat, he recommended the Chorizo skillet and I would highly recommend it to anyone! I use to come here with my friends for after hours fun, but now I will have any of my business meetings here! Very friendly staff and excellent food!

Stopped in for Sunday brunch before a friends play. EMPTY!! But that is JUST what we were looking for. The service was great. The Bloody Mary Bar was even better!! I had the Ham, Eggs & Cheese on a croissant. So good! The potato casserole that came with it was so incredibly good. I found myself trying to figure out how to make this at home while I was eating it! Everyone's food looked great and there were no complaints from anyone. If this location were closer to me, or I was in this area more often I would definitely be going her a lot. Unfortunately, the other Tavern locations I have been to get so packed, especially for brunch. I am glad we had the opportunity to go to this location.

Been going here for a few years now. Very consistant food and service. Bar food at its best. Burgers, Pizza and wings. Try the Latka Ruben or the Volcano Burger. Fast and freindly bar tenders and two fors happy hour. Tonight I had the Asian beef sub. It was good. Came with a Asian Slaw and season fries. The roll was supposed to be toasted but still overall good meal. Mid way through I saw a first. A lady came in with a service CAT on a leash. She sat it on a stool at the bar. Hey its Denver. Local chain with a national feel. Think Fridays or Chilies with much better food.

I came here with some folks to grab lunch and some bloody marys. The place is fairly large, nicely decorated and has a nice outdoor seating bar and area. On saturdays and sundays they have brunch from 10a-2p, which includes a bloody mary bar for $5.50 and bottomless mimosas for $10. I originally went for a bloody mary, but I got swayed by the bottomless mimosas! They were pretty good, and so was the bloody mary bar that my friends got. They apparently had a lot of goodies at the bloody mary bar to add to your cup of vodka. I also got the daily special, which was the chicken parmigiana, which was super delicious. It came with 2 slices of spicy garlic bread, 2 chicken breasts on top penne pasta. Overall a good experience here. I hear that they have a lot of concerts here downstairs, which sounds cool as well.

The Tavern is alright. The food is good, the drinks affordable, the patio is nice in the summer. What really makes it is the service. The staff is always friendly and they seem like they genuinely enjoy their job. Kevin J. stands out. He is always upbeat and super positive. My sister and I know it is going to be a good experience if we get sat in his section!

Just found the Tavern and had a great experience. Paige was a very nice and helpful server that was able to answer all of our questions about their different beers! Great food as well. We will definitely be back for their bottomless mimosas Saturdays and sundays!

Went for brunch last weekend, the service could not have been worse. It took her twenty minuts for drinks, nearly another hour for food that we were unhappy about and then she went for a smoke break after leaving us an incorrect check. Nope, will not be returning.

Food was fine, so were the drinks. That's what gets the two stars. Service on patio and inside was poor (we were outside earlier and went in when our friends arrived. We were there a total of 3 hours). So slow, lot of messed up orders, and missed orders (I had to go to the bar to get a water -finally). Maybe staff was short but 3 or 4 people. I can understand being over your head busy but this was bordering on inexcusable. Two more comments - 1) can we please do away with the smokers on the patio? 2 people shouldn't ruin the experience for the folks sitting around them. 2) The bathrooms are less than stellar. Pealing paint, many nicks on the wall, toilet paper rollers not working. Whole experience was not up to Tavern standards.

The service too way too long, even though it was pretty empty. Ordered a BLT without mayo, received a BLT with mayo slathered on it. Really average food. I'll probably be avoiding this place. May be good if you want to get beers and watch sports, but I would not eat here again.

Crap! Horrible bar food, weak drinks and only 2 screens outside on the back patio to watch the Bronco game because management decided the private party for the Raiders was more important and they needed more screens. Awful! Do not ever come here it sucks.

I want to love The Tavern. I love Soiled Dove Underground, minus the food, but I can't eat at Tavern anymore before a show. Their food would be decent, but their processed lettuce and processed slaw just reek of chemicals and ruin whatever you are eating. Since when did it become okay to drench perfectly good (and healthy) veggies in chemicals not fit for human consumption? If they can't find the time to chop their lettuce and cabbage fresh every day, I won't be spending my money there.

Nov 5, 6:30 pm out side temperature 34 deg: Party of 4 waited for a table 40 min. Got seated on the "heated patio" without giving us an option: concert floors, storm glass window -loud and cold. Was looking forward to a nicer warmer environment with out of town guess: Did not happened...! When a asked the manager, server and the hostess for another table I was told another wait up to 40 min. We left and at no point anyone tried to have us stay or offer some kind of intensive. Nope! So much for my neighborhood local joint...! Service suck this time around. I typically give away gift cards for the holidays. No more business from me.

Very disappointing and overpriced...with all the great places in Denver how does this stay alive? I ordered their beet and goat cheese salad...special of the day! Hah! OMG the beets were canned...and I had to really search for the cheese! And, you know how much a can of beets costs, right? Under a dollar...they charged $11.50! Awful..no flavor, mushy and so very obviously not fresh. Will never go to this chain again and you shouldn't either!

Been here a couple of times and enjoyed it. It's a great place to eat before catching a show at the Soiled Dove. The restaurant is just above the Soiled Dove venue. The food didn't blow me away but they have a good variety of options. Definitely American comfort food. They also offer a great happy hour Mon - Fri from 3 pm to 7 pm. Specials on drinks and small plates.

I've been to the Tavern for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a reunion gathering and a birthday celebration at this location and I have yet to be impressed. The food is just okay. I haven't had any horrible dishes but nothing stands out. I guess it's bad that the most memorable thing I've eaten is the oatmeal. I will say they make a nice presentation of it: brown sugar, dried cranberries, nuts, bananas. It's all lovely, IF they remember to bring you a spoon. That leads me to my biggest gripe with this place. No matter when I go, they never seem to be prepared or ready for customers. My last few visits were for breakfast and we were waiting outside the door for them to open (10:00am on Sundays). Instead of being ready for business, it seems that they're always rushing around trying to figure things out. Two-stars is all I can muster. With that said, it is highly likely that I'll return for oatmeal. It's conveniently located and sometimes I just don't want to wait for the water to boil at home.

I went once a few years ago and haven't been back. My friend and I both had dry and tasteless cheeseburgers and fries and it was pricey as well. I live nearby but that one experience just doesn't make me want to go back.

Stopped in for happy hour and though the drink specials were awesome, it was incredibly hard to get service or get noticed. The bartender (Claudine) was super sweet and SUPER busy with the service bar but we were never asked if we wanted dinner after our appetizers. We had hoped to watch a game on tv but when we asked a server about changing the channel, she said we would have to go find a manager... meh too much work. We ended up coming back later for a late bite... Food was pretty good... I will say the gluten free bun was ON THE MONEY and I was thrilled to have a normal tasting burger, burger itself lacked a lot of flavor though and mash potatoes were most likely microwaved as they were cold in some spots and hot in others...

We've been to Tavern Lowry a few times for dinner and each time I have been disappointed in some way. After the first visit we learned not to go before about 7:30 to give all the families with kids running around all over the place time to clear out. On the bright side, if you're looking for an adult place that is kid-friendly, you'll feel welcomed at Tavern Lowry. In addition to the spacious indoor seating area, this Tavern location has a nice big sunny patio and a large covered bar area with a TV underneath. It's perfect for watching the game while the kids play on the patio. I've had salads, a burger, and a few appetizers, each of which were just average. The last time we visited, we had an issue with service. We were basically ignored by our waiter until the manager finally came over to help us. We got free drinks out of it but that wasn't enough to make us want to return. These experiences plus the highish prices mean we will be spending our dining dollars elsewhere.

Was at the bar last nite.. Been a regular here for couple years now.. Didn't get much love from the bar staff.. I may have wore out my welcome .. Won't be back anytime soon .. Whatsmore the bar staff here are not the best mixologists which is typical of these chain/ high volume type locations .. The atmosphere is good in there.. Food is decent .. Gotta find another haunt with a more skilled bar staff ..

I've been going to this Tavern for a couple years now and have got to say that I think it is my favorite one out of the bunch. Located in the heart of Lowry, the Tavern is super convenient for those who live on that side of town and offers a decent amount of seating inside and out. One nice thing here is their decent size patio that you can chill out on after a hard day's work or when you want to enjoy the weather on a nice autumn evening. Being named, the Tavern, you would expect a good variety of booze to start your night out right, which they have. Nothing really stood out, but they have a decent variety of beers on tap as well as hard alcohol for those needs too. Surprisingly, the food isn't that bad either. I've had everything from their pizza and burgers to the enchiladas. One of my favorite pies from the Tavern is to get half buffalo chicken pizza and half chicken pesto. The buffalo chicken is a great combination of buffalo sauce and ranch drizzled on it (super healthy I know!). The pesto has sun dried tomatoes, chicken, and artichoke hearts and is also super tasty. I usually can't decide on which one is better, and thusly, have to convince whoever I am dining with to go with that combo. Another nice thing here is the big screen projector in the back dining area when you want to watch a game. Nothing better than some good food and libations when cheering on your favorite team!

I had a very enjoyable brunch at the tavern during my recent visit to the Denver area. My sister and I ordered mimosas (they do have a 'bottomless' option, but that would have been dangerous!) and I also ordered coffee. They give you a mug and you can go up to the bar where there are a couple of different flavored coffees as well as syrups, whipped cream and chocolate dipped spoons. Our friend ordered the bloody mary bar which was unlike anything I've ever seen. You get to make your own bloody mary with all of the fixins (there was a platter of veggies, cheese, deviled eggs and spices). It made me wish I actually liked bloody marys :/ My sister ordered the bananas foster french toast, which was huge and covered in syrup and walnuts. Her only gripe was that the bananas were not caramelized, but rather fresh (still very good though!) I ordered the Mediterranean skillet which came with eggs, potatoes, feta and spinach- it was delicious and I couldn't even finish the whole thing. I definitely plan on coming back here for brunch during my next visit!

We used to be regulars here. The food is decent if you like bar food. The past few visits they are so understaffed so the customers are not being attended to and the food comes out overcooked or they forget half of the order. I have been very disappointed and I used to love this place. The Med Steak Salad you still can't go wrong with. I recommend not sitting in section 1 by the bar or you will be begging for service. We also did not receive apologies for them forgetting to ring in our entire order or for the overcooked entrees. Hopefully management will make some changes and get this place back on track for summer so we can try it out again and enjoy the summer patio.

I used to live in Lowry about 5 years ago and the Tavern was our go to place! What happened? We went last night and the food was terrible. I ordered the hummus plate .. The veggies were slimy and soggy. I complained but didn't get much of a response. I then ordered the salmon and spinach salad and the salmon was half cooked. I love sushi but I am pretty sure this wasn't. I was very disappointed and actually grossed out!

For the most part this is an excellent location. Last night I was here with my husband and another couple. Our wait for a table was over 45 minutes. We were finally seated but waited more than 15 minutes for water or a server to greet us and take our drink orders. Our drinks were delivered and then it was another 15 before we could give our dinner orders. It took 50 minutes for our food to be delivered and when it was, half of our order was cold. We never complained but we're a bit distressed. We were only given an opportunity to order two rounds of drinks for the entire time we were there for our dining experience 2.5 hours. The management, to their credit, profusely apologized and did not charge is for the meal. Would I go back? Absolutely! The food is delicious and usually the service is excellent. I think because there was a show that evening they were overwhelmed and busier than normal.

I was in Denver last week and weekend - went to Tavern Lowry for lunch. The last time I was there was probably a couple of years ago. On Monday, 9/9, I took my mom there for lunch before a doctor's appointment. It was way better than when I lived in Denver (I lived in Stapleton). I had the club sandwich on a croissant. It was REALLY good. My mom had the mac and cheese. I think the menu has changed a little. I was pleasantly surprised by the meal.

Been here a couple of times and its expanded to other places besides Lowry. Pretty much your standard bar food fare. I tend to think the food is the low light here as it is okay, but not fantastic. Flavor just seems to be bland on a lot of different things, pizza, southwest chicken sandwich, french fries. Service is very good and this is probably a nice place to watch a Bronco game.

I've only been here for Sunday brunch and it's always hectic and busy. However, the food is pretty decent and the bottomless mimosas are fabulous. The food is good, but the prices are on the higher side. We've had hit and miss customer service, but I am guessing some of that is due to the fact that it was busy. Will probably return again for more pricey food, since Keiki1 lives within walking distance

This place is super! They have the best Mac and cheese known to mankind, and the service is great! Big thanks to server Kevin, who is always really friendly and always has a smile! This restaurant is one of the best in Denver, so it's an amazing thing that we live so close!

This is the best place to go before a night of music at the Soiled Dove Underground. We had three things and loved them all. Chicken nachos are unique because instead of a pile of ingredients all mixed up, it was more of each chip being constructed individually and neatly arranged. They were great thought the jalapenos were insanely hot. We also enjoyed the Reuben which was served on crispy potato latke instead of bread. Lastly, we loved the Moscow Mules. Stick to that recipe and you'll be successful for sure.

A friend and mine visited this location last night. Service was good as we sat in the bar area. The waitress was friendly without being too chatty and kept filling our waters. I ordered The Choke. While I was leery that I was paying $9 for one artichoke - it was delicious. I'm only giving it four stars because it was $9. A little more inexpensive would have been much better. My friend had nachos and she said they were pretty good. I'm also only giving four stars because they sat small loud children in the bar area. Really? Isn't this what the restaurant section is for. I don't drink but I like to sit in the bar because children are usually not in this area. So all-in-all a good time was had by all.

In town visiting and stopped by for a meal. Food was good, but my wait person was exceptional. Her name was Cait (or Kate , don't remember the spelling) and was friendly, got the order right, and didn't hover. She was wonderful, and next time I'm in the area, I'll make sure I'm seated in her area!

Ok, I reviewed The Tavern Lowry after first moving here, and although I gave it four stars at the time, it's time to upgrade to five! The bartenders here are GREAT. I particularly like Keith and James --- they make you feel comfortable and attended to like no other place I've been to here in Colorado. (Is Keith still there? I haven't seen him in awhile and if he's left...oh no. That boy is WONDERFUL and a definite keeper, management!) Also, there's a delightful young lady who bartends earlier in the week, her name is Erin. She's top notch all day long and I'm always pleased to find her behind the bar. I'm going out of my way to mention the staff because really, it's the service that keeps me coming back again and again. Even after being out at other places for the night I will pop in to the Tavern and chit chat with the patrons and staff. I always leave happy. Look, you can get good drinks anywhere, really --- but can you get a great experience? Not always. At The Tavern Lowry, however, you really can, and the food is good as well. I order the hummus app plate or the spinach dip, usually. Yum. I'll probably stop in tonight, truth be known. It's my neighborhood place and I'm so glad it's here!

I eat dinner here with my husband and daughter 2-3 times each month. It is one of the most consistently fine restaurants I know of. I cannot explain the mediocre reviews for the Tavern on Yelp. The salmon (salad or entree) is excellent. The spinach-artichoke skillet is bliss on cast iron. Husband loves the burger. We are comfortable and well attended to at the Tavern.

    (5)
  • Chris D.

As a good friend of mine said we are living in the "Napa Valley of beer." Colorado has the best breweries in the country in my biased opinion, so when a place as big as The Tavern Lowry has such a limited selection of beer I get sad. Yes they had Fat Tire, but so does everyone. The food is generic bar food, and the service is... average. They do have lots of room, so it would be a decent place to have a party, or event. very blah

  • Carl S.

Had the fish and chips for lunch. Excellent batter on small pieces of perfectly cooked cod. Fries were tasty as well. The cole slaw was seriously lacking though. It seems the cole slaw is a difficult thing for restaurants to make. I'm not sure why though. They would be better off buying cole slaw dressing at King Soopers and using that. But it wasn't bad tasting, it just had 0 taste. Service was good, although the waiter seemed a little rushed, like he was overloaded. It wasnt that busy....

Unbelievably bad service. My husband ordered a takeout sandwich plain (specified twice to the person that took the order just the meat and bread). After getting it all of the way home, he discovered cole slaw in the middle. I drove the sandwich all the way back, and the hostess and bartender insisted that this was how we ordered it. They actually argued with me over 2 hours later about exactly what was said. Even if they THOUGHT I was wrong, what kind of restaurant wouldn't just re-make the sandwich rather than losing a customer over $13? Definitely won't be back.

Kitchen was fine. Service, unbelievably horrible. Happy hour and couldn't find the bartender to get a beer refill or check when you've decided this isn't the place to be. Note: this bar seats 20+ and there were 7 people, including us (2 people)! Sleepy, sleepy, no fun!

I tried the Tavern ultimate mac & cheese for $14.50. It is described as the Tavern Mac n Cheese topped with grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes and green onions. The Tavern Mac n Cheese is Campanelle pasta tossed in a five-cheese sauce topped with a cheddar crumb crust that is baked. I thought the amount of grilled chicken on the dish wasn't proportional (there was too much for my liking!) and the size of the chicken pieces were too large. The flavor and texture of the mac and cheese was also underwhelming. I thought it was a little bit dry and would have preferred for it to be slightly saucier. I also thought that a traditional elbow macaroni noodle would have made the dish better. I also tried the jalapeno cheese dip from the starters menu. It was advertised as a creamy blend of cheeses, bacon, and jalapeños served with house made crackers and tortilla chips. Ours however, did not have house made crackers on it. Instead it just had pieces of cold tortilla (whole pieces of tortilla). I am not sure how I was supposed to eat that with the dip. For cocktails, I tried the Strawberry Shortcake (Pearl Whipt Vodka, Strawberry Puree, Cream, Club Soda) for $7. This did taste like dessert but was too strong in vodka flavor for my taste. I also tried the South Of Dixie Tea (Junior Johnson Strawberry Moonshine, Peach Liqueur, Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, Iced Tea) also for $7. It did not taste like strawberry and it was also too strong in vodka flavor for my liking. I also felt rushed by the waitress who I guess was about to end her shift in that section of the restaurant and move to a different serving area. She was very eager to give us the check and kept checking in on us to see if we were ready to finish our meal. This is the third Tavern that I have been to and it has been my least favorite experience so far. It's nicer than the one downtown by ballpark just because there's plenty of parking here. I came here another time with my family and we tried the hotdog with cheese sauce and Tator tots, a burger, the Italian pizza and hot as well as cold coffee. The Italian pizza was $13 and was worse than frozen pizza. It had no vegetables on it aside from bell pepper and the sausage on it was cut in fat slices. They were the kind you'd find in pasta. The crust was floppy so I had to hold my pizza with my left hand flat like a plate. The size didn't reflect the price and the taste was so underwhelming. The hot dog had tons of cheese sauce that was too salty and appeared to be canned or jarred cheese. The tots were good though. My dad said the burger tasted like the ones we made at home. Which isn't a compliment because we make really average burgers. I ordered two coffees to go (1 iced and 1 hot). Both came in a paper cup with a plastic see thru lid on top and a plastic straw. Hot coffee in a thin paper cup made for iced drinks (lined with that waxy stuff) with a plastic straw?! Who drinks hot coffee with a plastic straw. The coffee tasted watered down and over roasted. The room in the back is so terribly dark and I guess tavern like.

I'm pretty sure that I just got escorted out for being too loud???! This big faced kid came over and asked me to quiet down (I'll admit I'm kinda a scream talker in loud situations, but this place is supposed to be a TAVERN right???) which I thought I did until I was escorted out 15 minutes later. Since when are their noise ordinances at a sports bar? Suuuuuuuuuper lame in my opinion. On top of that, the bar tenders were pretty cold and inattentive. Service was slow-ish. I'm gonna have to go ahead and say that this place sucks...

Wow! This place was seriously hopping on Friday night. It's within walking distance from my friend's apartment, so we decided to stop in for a few drinks after dinner nearby. We quickly found 2 seats at the large bar and the bartender gave us menus. We didn't order any food, but certainly enjoyed a few cocktails. First I had the Ruby Mule, which was Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka, Lemonade, Mint, Lime, Ginger Beer ($7). It was good, but a bit too much lemonade for me. I couldn't really taste the ruby red vodka. My friend had the Black and Blue Mule, which was Pearl Blueberry Vodka, Blackberries, Lime, Ginger Beer ($7), which was really good. Next I tried the South of Dixie Tea, which was Junior Johnson Strawberry Moonshine, Peach Liqueur, Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, Iced Tea ($7). I don't like peach flavored anything, so I asked the bartender to leave that out. Man, was this a great drink! It was served in a large mason jar and was really refreshing, especially for the price! The service was fast and friendly, even though the place was VERY crowded. They offered happy hour specials and were showing the World Series game. The restaurant seemed very busy, which is always a good sign. Next time I visit, I'd love to try the food. It was a great night and I am surprised by some of the negative reviews!

A friend and I tried this place recently and I gotta say it is a gem. The service was very friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! I ordered the enchiladas...man were they good. Very comfortable setting. They have a live music venue downstairs that I haven't tried yet. The drinks were yummy and the staff was wonderful. The best part for us was the woman's volleyball game playing directly in front of us. Sports venue with the option to opt out if that's not your thing. Ask for Kevin.....he was a star waiter.

When it comes to the multiple Tavern locations around town I think they are either cool beans or absolutely terrible. I've very pleased that the Lowry location is the former. It's like an oasis in the middle of Lowry and they won't steer you wrong. While it isn't a happening night spot they do have a killer happy hour for people who work or live in the neighborhood. The couple of times I've been here I've always had a very pleasant experience. As with other Tavern spots there is a fun menu for foodies. It's a bit pricey for my likes but every now and then it's ok to splurge. At least the portion sizes are big. I've also enjoyed the multiple drink choices. Staff is always accommodating and prompt unlike at other Tavern locations. Everyone who works at this store has been awesome so I give massive kudos for that. It makes the whole place feel welcoming and, gasp, makes you want to spend your money! Give 'em a big tip - they're worth it. When I find myself in this neck of the woods I would never turn down an invite to visit the Tavern Lowry. It's a great place to grab a bite, throw back a few drinks and hang out. They also have a patio with a ton of room so that's a bonus. Over all - solid.

I've been here quite a few times and it's pretty hit or miss with the food and service. Today was a miss all around! I will never pay cash again because I got short changed. It was twelve cents but I have a kid that likes a penny horse so I care, she would have got an extra dollar in her tip if she could do some math. I ordered a basket of tots and got a side of re-fried tots.... it's pretty obvious when they've been re-fried because they crunch into disintegration. Not stoked at all!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. The place is large, has outdoor seating and is in a strip mall so plenty of private parking lot parking. The food is similar to other Taverns. Lucky for me, I like their food so I think it was great. Not sure how busy it gets on the weekends but there was a fair amount of people in the place and all of our food came out quick. I always appreciate that.

They did a wonderful job servicing our large work group of 23 as a walk in!

Not impressed at all! Old carrots served with the chicken wings, over priced calamari for a portion meant for a small child. The server seemed stoned, then disappeared after drinks were ordered...another server showed up 15mins later with the order, saying she had no clue where our sever was. Terrible bloody marys.. tasted like tomatoes and water. The only thing good was the food, but the prices and service will keep me from ever returning.

NOT a great first experience. I was treating my grandmother to lunch and she requested lunch at The Tavern. I had never been and thought the menu looked great. I used to work in food service so I understand WHY they do what they do...but they put us in a small booth right next to the kitchen. This was a challenge for conversation with my elderly grandmother - there were plenty of other open tables. Pet peeve. I'm not sure if our server was overwhelmed but throughout the entire meal, she was very distracted. I ordered iced tea and she brought water...then filled my glass up with water after I finished my first glass of tea (what?). We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for a starter which was pretty tasty and a good size. For entrees we shared a salad and a pizza - the pizza came out with the wrong ingredients. Instead of making a new pizza, they took the wrong toppings off and replaced with the right ones (onions for mushrooms) and passed it through the oven again. Having gone through the oven twice, the crust was a bit dark and hard. I know I sound like a complainapotamus...but like I said, not a great experience. The salad was really good - the Pear Walnut and Gorgonzola salad. Overall though, I'm not sure I'll return.

I LOVE this location! I always recommend Liz as your server. She was very sweet and very attentive. Never had a bad experience with her! Food was great.. We came in for happy hour and felt prices were reasonable and the hummus was good. Domestic brews are 2 for 1, crafts are $1 off and appetizers are reasonably priced. Burgers are great too :) definitely recommend this location for a dinner night out!

I enjoy coming to this place because they have a gret setup. The outdoor patio into the dinning room is built nicely. There is a great flow to the architecture. I like the happy hour specials too. The weekend brunch is a great place to get build your own bloody Mary's and get bottomless mimososas. The bartenders are a great bunch. The service is alright on the dinning room area though. This past saturdau morning I went in with a group of people to grab some bottomless mimosas, but it took 30 mins for me to get my spicy chorizo plate. It can happen though when its busy. I am usually in the bar area when I come to this place. The food is typical bar food, nothing too spectacular. It is a great price for what you get though. Come here for happy hour for their drink specials!

Trivia night. Ran into one of my favorite bartenders. Great place close to home when I need to get out

I have only been here one time and I was thoroughly unimpressed. We had a large group of people with us and everyone was eager to drink and eat. It was happy hour and it took us almost 30 minutes to even place an order. The bartender kept telling us to talk to our waiter and the waiter kept ignoring us and telling us to talk to our bartender. It was very frustrating. I finally talked to the bartender and ordered a drink, which was buy one get one free everything during happy hour. I also ordered the jalapeno cheese dip. The drinks were fine (whiskey and coke--hard to mess up). The dip was one of the worst things that I have ever ordered from a restaurant in my life. It basically consisted of a bowl of grease with a mound of breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. I am not even sure if you could even call it cheese and definitely not dip. After draining about a cup of grease into my napkin, I tried to scoop up some of the "dip" but it was mostly just breadcrumbs. The chips that it was served with were also very stale. I would not recommend this place at all. I think they remain open because they are one of the only bars in this area.

Stopped by the Tavern Lowry before a show last weekend. Hovering between two and three stars - nothing sucked, but nothing was awesome, either. Well, their sweet potato fries were surprisingly tasty, so that was kind of awesome. Overall it's a nice place - good atmosphere, large space, lots of seating. The food was all right. In addition to the fries we got some buffalo eggrolls and cheeseburger sliders. The eggrolls were a pleasant surprise, but the sliders just tasted...cheap. Ordered a Ruby Mule and pretty sure the first one was just a Moscow Mule (no biggie, I adore them), but the second that actually had the ruby red grapefruit was really tasty as well. Service was just okay - our waiter was somewhat attentive, but not engaging or overly personable. Good place to hit up if you're seeing a show at the Soiled Dove, but since Lowry is no where near my hood, I doubt I'll be back.

The Tavern Group seems to follow the mantra of you can't please everyone, so we'll do everything half-assed. A really poor selection of beers on tap, and when you do find something drinkable, be prepared because they are usually out of it. Ok bar food, but again, not known for anything great so it's all usually just OK. Except for their nachos. Never order their nachos. It's a total rip, 8 tiny chips. You'd be better to spend your lounging time elsewhere.

I stopped in before The Tubes concert located downstairs and sat at the bar. The service by my bartender Sarah was very friendly and the drinks I ordered were made perfectly. I ordered the Beer Can Chicken special with rice and veges and it was better than my beer butt chicken at home. Great flavor and I'd love to order a 2nd dinner. Definitely be back from Castle Rock.

Great local bar! Love that it is right across the street from me! The food is tasty too, unlike the Downtown Tavern that tends to always screw it up. Employees are also very friendly.

I've been here a couple times on the weekends, and enjoyed it. Tonight was the first time I've been there during the week. If you're looking for drinks and apps wouldn't recommend this place on Wed. The drinks sucked, they were SUPER weak....kinda wondering if they had any alcohol at all. I'm kind of a light weight, but even after 3 drinks was completely sober.

Never been so disappointed and disgusted. My disappointment came from our server during brunch today. Her name was Connor. While I was sitting with 15 other people I watched her text and continue to get drinks for herself while we sat with empty glasses. On multiple occasions we had to go up and get our own items or ask other servers. Connor ignored us throughout the brunch and was cold and distant when she did make an appearance. It was also frustrating to watch her roll her eyes in regards to us to other staff members when we did try to reach out to her. While leaving, completely frustrated at this point, I watched a busser take toast from a plate he had just bussed and place it on a new plate of food going out to someone. This has to be some sort of health violation. Between Connor's terrible service and this violation I will never return to the Lowry Tavern. Both of these people should be let go. Especially the busser!

There food was amazing. But I'm only 12 so all I like is the food. I would go here again and eat a huge meal! Go here for the food!

The food was excellent, the wine and mix drinks were great, and our waiter was fastastic. I will eat here again and again. SIMPLY SAID EVERYTHING WAS LIKE GRAND MA HOUSE.

Our server was friendly and charming but was the most memorable part of the dinner. The wings are served dry which is just weird to me. I used to call that fried chicken when I was growing up! My suggestion: save winging for a wing establishment - they are not going to make this place famous anytime soon! My compatriot had the lettuce wraps which received great reviews from him. Crisp lettuce and flavorful ingredients earned his two thumbs up.

Although on our previous visit we had a much better experience this last visit might keep us from returning. Although I think the food potentially can be pretty good this time both the food and our service left much to be desired. Our waitress really should be working in another industry. She wasn't able to consolidate trips between the kitchen, bar, and front of house effectively and subsequently made numerous wasted trips and spent much too much time away from her customers. On taking our order she incorrectly told us that we could not substitute a house salad for an upcharge (she really should look at her menu sometime) on our burgers but instead told us that we had to order either fries or sweet potato fries and add a salad. She didn't ask us what "done-ness" we wanted our burgers cooked, and told my wife that the fries came pre-salted so she couldn't order them without salt and she didn't ask what dressing we wanted on the salad she made us order either. Virtually clue-less. She must have took the time to freshen her perfume with a garden hose on one of her extended stays at the bar or kitchen because for the rest of our time there I had to hold my breath when her cloud approached our vicinity. We asked that our salad come with our meal but instead it was delivered almost immediately (some sort of mustard based dressing and also a.. I'm not sure what the other one was) and after a fairly long wait for our burgers we were treated to luke warm burgers (mine was medium which I can do although I prefer meium well for a burger but when it's kinda cold... ummm, not so much) and fries that were limp and obviously had been out of the fryer for... oh I don't know, maybe days? It was the kind of situation that I was hesitant to send the food back because a lot of times people of that... level of intellectual ability (or lack there of) resort to tampering with returned food. Of course the air had cleared about the time we wanted to leave because she was once again MIA and we had to ask the hostess if she would ask our waitress for our check and a to-go box (our poor dogs!). Hold your breath here she comes. I never tip less than 15% and usually at least 20% and I still didn't. She got 15%. I always try to support those with less than their full facilities whenever i can.
