During our visit to Denver, we stayed across the street from this restaurant/bar. We ended up visiting this place three times during our stay. The first time was Saturday afternoon. We had about an hour to kill before the apartment that we were staying in was ready. We stopped in with our luggage at the bar for a drink. My boyfriend and I had a beer and looked around at the rustic decor. I liked the atmosphere of this place. When we finished our drinks, we moved on our way. The second time we came, it was for happy hour with our friends who met us in Denver. We had a drink and appetizer. The enjoyed the taco Tuesday deal, and I had the creamy tomato soup. One thing I noticed was their menu was very vegetarian and vegan friendly. If you don't eat meat, you will have no problem finding something to eat. We all enjoyed our small snacks and drinks. Finally, we decided to head over to The Curtis Club last night for one more drink before we leave Denver. I ordered a margarita, and it was good. My boyfriend and our friend had the Old Fashioned. They both did not enjoy the Old Fashioned. They ended up drinking it anyway and switched to Whiskey Sour, and they seemed much happier. Overall, the staff has been incredibly kind, funny and friendly. It definitely makes the place with such a friendly staff. The only downside to this place is that it's a little bit of a shady area. Our last drink included a homeless guy fighting with the stop sign and tree for 15 minutes. It did make the outside atmosphere a little uncomfortable. Other than that, this place was great!

Gotta agree with the consensus here. The food is really great, the happy hour deals are near-genius (BOGO drafts, extended for trivia on Wednesdays from 8-10), but service is just bad. Cant' help but feel they need to both staff up and train their employees better. The vegetarian Carnival was described as "kinda whatever we have in the kitchen" (c'mon, sell me!), we ended up repeatedly going to the bar to get new drinks, the tab was incorrect...I could go on. The surly hipster vibe works for coffee shops where I deal with the barista for about 2 minutes. It doesn't work for a full service restaurant.

This restarant is defiantly ok and has good ambiance. However, in a town with some of the best restarants in the country in the same price point. I would struggle to come back. It would be a great restarant in a town like Amarillo or Topeka, but In a town like Denver everything needs definitely be better than "ok." My advise is to hit Tag instead. The fondu is not amazing but good. The buffalo bolinaise is ho hum at best. The scalps are very smooth though. And the brownie Sunday is rich but somehow not delectable.

Went there for brunch with my partner and mom. We had a wonderful morning. We didn't have to wait for over an hour and our food was delicious. We also split the mimosa flight. Highly recommend getting that to share with 3-4 people. Can't wait to try it for lunch or dinner

I've been to the Curtis Club several times in the past few months. I'm continually impressed by how much more I notice about the decorations. I always see some new detail and I love how hip it is without being too trendy. But let's get to the main course (pun intended) - the food. The past two times I've been, I'm always drawn to the sliders. The standout slider is the veggie slider, that has the most delicious onion jam on top. I could eat it by the spoonful. This is nothing, however, compared to the sweet potato au gratin that came with my boyfriend's order of beef tender. I practically melted in my chair. The au gratin was seasoned well and perfectly creamy. The beer and wine selections are robust. I especially like their non-alcoholic beverage specialties, though. The hibiscus spritz is particularly refreshing.

I'll second the review from a week ago: great food, not too expensive, but the service was supremely disappointing. Sunday brunch, it was just three of us at one table, a couple in the corner, a 10-12 top across the room, 5 or 6 small tables on the patio, but only one server for all of it. It didn't make sense. We each ordered the bottomless mimosas, at a total of $39, and only got one bottle to split amongst all of us throughout our entire meal. Thats a pretty pricey bottle of J. Roget. We had requested a second bottle twice, and it never came over a period of 45 minutes. We had somewhere to be, and couldn't wait any longer. I felt sorry for her for having to handle so much on her own, but regret tipping a decent amount. Not going back unless my first "bottomless" mimosa is free.
(2)Christine W.
Went in for Sunday brunch. The food gets a 10/10. Everything else was disappointing. The expensive bottomless mimosas come with your own bottle, which is nice, and two types of juice. They also come with some weird jams that were never quite explained. I tried adding some and it just stuck to the bottom of my glass in a useless glob for the rest of the meal. The service was beyond awful. There did appear to only be one server besides the bartender, and she didn't appear to have any support staff. Still, I'm a server myself, and they weren't busy enough to elicit such terrible service. All in all our bill topped $50, but the experience didn't reflect that. Would love to say we'll give it another try, but with so many options in the neighborhood, I don't see why we'd bother.

We finally tried it and it was better than expected. Firstly, the decor and ambiance are brilliant and the service is fantastic. The menu is fun and interesting. We went for 2 small plates, the basic salad and 3 sliders and 1 main plate, the rabbit. We love rabbit so the main was a given but the sliders sounded awesome with a veggie slider, a lamb slider AND....an alpaca slider!!! We hadn't had the chance to try alpaca so we were totally up for it First the basic salad, at $5 was simply incredible with mixed greens, pear, goat cheese and roasted hazelnuts. Then, the sliders, 3 lovely egg buns with big pieces of meat and salad and not too many flavored to let the meats shine. The alpaca was delicious red meat not too gamey not greasy, the lamb delicious and the veggie simple and fresh. Then the rabbit, big chunks of meat covered with pancetta seared. Accompanied with veggies, puree and a delicious citrus sauce Great drinks selection to top it all. We will be back soon

I had been here for happy hour a few times. They have great drinks and one of the times I got their sliders (alpaca was a delicious surprise!) and the saffron risotto croquettes were so good. We just tried their brunch which did not disappoint. My hubs got the burger and I got the mushroom omelet. We both got the bottomless mimosas and then shared the bread pudding as we were there for so long drinking. Heh. The staff is always friendly and the vibe is very cool.

The ambience at The Curtis Club is fantastic. Service? Good, but could be a little friendlier. The food and cocktails are the real stars here. Recommend for sure: Brussels Sprout Petals Diver Caught Sea Scallops For an entree, I went with the duck plate ( Seared Breast and Crispy Confit, Israeli Cous Cous, Dried Cherry, and Toasted Almond) and it was one of the best duck dishes I have had in quite some time. Thumbs up for that. Ordered the Milk Stout Chocolate Cake for dessert. Tasty, but the Pumpkin Bread Pudding was the clear winner. Definitely a cool spot to check out.
(4)Jinny K.
Went for dinner and first of all, loved the ambience. It was different and jazzy and could be quite romantic for dates. Started off with a fried farm egg which was perfectly fried with great flavor. For the main dish I had the duck plate and my friend had the rabbit. The duck was succulent, crispy and the bed of couscous underneath was absolutely delicious with almonds and dried cherry- sweet and savory with just a perfect amount of sweetness. It was my first time trying rabbit and I was quite impressed. It was tender, juicy and delish. Next time I'll definitely have the rabbit. All in all, it was a good try of a new spot and will be going back.

Just phenomenal. I brought a group of friends here for Restaurant Week and it was amazing. The bartenders are wonderful and have some really great specialty cocktails. They also give great advice about the wines on the wine list. Our meal was superb. The pork belly salad with grilled peaches was awesome. The pork tenderloin with fried green tomatoes and white macaroni and cheese was delicious. And, we really enjoyed the chocolate cake. This is just an awesome restaurant that I will definitely return to.

This is really a 2.5* review... I'll give them 3 for now, in the hopes they get better. We've been to the Curtis club a number of times right after they opened, and since then. We had some good experiences, but overall the food/service/value was always just off. In an area of the city with so much up and coming activity, there was not a compelling reason to go to the Curtis Club. The food always seemed quite heavy handed, or missing something, never what it should be. Some of the dishes were very high end and ambitious before, which we love, and give a lot of respect to people who try to do that kind of menu. Sadly only a few of the dishes ever stood up to their claims. Which is a disappointment, and left us wanting more almost every time we were there. We read that they had a grand re-opening/relaunch of a new menu, and new focus. So with some neighbors we thought we would give it a try and see if it fills a niche in the neighborhood that it looked like they were aiming for - high quality, casual, comfort food in a hip atmosphere. Food: The results completely baffled us. We were there a week after their relaunch, and the food was simply not "there". With a simplified menu, and a tight focus, you would think the food would be dead on. We even tried their grilled cheese which was championed as their flagship dish on their FB page and by the server. It was good, but nothing special at all. The cheese was lacking flavor, there were too few peppers, and overall... just was blah. Like it needed salt which is shocking for a grilled cheese. 3 of the 4 in our group got it and all had the same take. 2 of us even added bacon and it was still blah. We ordered other things on the menu for appetizers, and they equally were "good" but lacked anything that would make them something we would re-order. Especially for the cost. I ordered a "modern Old Fashioned" cocktail from their list, and what came out was one of the sweetest and awful "old fashioned's" I've ever had. It had an essence of orange, a little bourbon, and a TON of sugar... It's the first time I sent back a $13 cocktail ever... I switched it up to a different take on a margarita which was pretty tasty. Coming right after the relaunch we were expecting a tight menu, with limited options, but every option being very refined and good. What we got was puzzling, I would have expected this from a first run chef at a new concept. Service: The place was largely empty on a Friday night (which is very telling on its own). We were there at 7pm and it was our group, and maybe 2 other small groups in the dining area. Even with this low of an activity, our server was aloof, and inattentive. She forgot orders, and would just disappear, and ignore us. Which can be understood if its busy and she is slammed, but... it was dead in there. She did take care of us though at the end, and did replace my bad cocktail when I complained that it was undrinkable. The GM came to ask how things were and we reported a lot of whats in this review to him, and his comment is that they are still refining their menu (Shouldn't that have been done before a relaunch?). He seemed confused at some of our critiques though. Overall: It left us wanting... we want to love this place, and make it our local happy hour haunt. But its painful to see this great location, and great interior just be squandered by such a lack of execution of the food, and questionable service. We will probably see what the brunch has to offer (because the bottomless mimosa trays sound pretty damn epic), but we aren't running to go back there anytime soon. They can do better, and I have a feeling they will need to if they want to survive in this increasingly competitive market. Look at the neighboring Lower 48, they've brought fun happy hour foods ($7 double patty burger) that is simple, focused, and tastes fantastic with a upscale flair. Take note.

"Meh. I've experienced better." I'm genuinely not sure what all the hype is about... Hubby and I came here for brunch a few weeks ago. Knowing that brunch in Denver is HUGE, we were really excited that we could make a reservation. We had plans in the afternoon, so made our reservation for 10:00, when The Curtis Club opens. If you've ever eaten brunch in Denver, you know that most places who don't take reservations (and get rave reviews) will have at least a 45 minute wait by 10am. Alas, not at The Curtis Club! We were the only people in the restaurant for 45 minutes. We got there before our waitress. After 45 minutes, another couple arrived and sat outside. About 30 minutes later, a group of 6 women (probably in their 40s or 50s) began to arrive to celebrate a birthday. I can't hold it against the place that people weren't there, but it just seemed unusual. It seems like maybe brunch isn't their forte? We were really excited about the menu, but the food was just ok. I had the "Shop Dude's Breakfast"--2 eggs, house made potatoes, bacon and toast. I asked for fruit instead of toast and extra crispy bacon; the fruit was yummy, but my bacon came out soft and floppy, so I didn't eat it. The potatoes were decent, but tasted heavily fried. Hubby had the challah french toast--he ordered after me, and made a joke and asked if he could top my special requests and ask to have his crust cut off. The waitress laughed, we laughed, and then he said "No, I'm totally kidding...I love the crust, it's the best part" and the waitress responded "awesome." Unfortunately, she did ask for the crust to be cut off...so the dish was tiny. It seemed like it was 2 slices of wonder-bread-sized-challah cut into fours, and that was it. We laughed it off because it was "early" in the day and he shouldn't have made the joke, but still, his (tasty but somewhat soggy) french toast was gone in 10 bites. We had two rounds of french press coffee. The first was terrible...we had a LOT of coffee grounds floating in our mugs and then so many that were sitting at the bottom that we needed to ask for new mugs when we got our second round of coffee. The second was better (different press, maybe the first just wasn't working so well), but still not great. All in all, the highlight of our experience was definitely the service. Our waitress was friendly and quickly replaced napkins/dishes that had been dirtied by a nearby plant; despite the crust snafu, she was just attentive enough without being overbearing. The food was fine, but nothing we can't make at home, and definitely not special enough to come again. Maybe I'll come back for happy hour or dinner, but this isn't at the top of my list.

Got to check out the new menu right before their Grand Re-opening and I was definitely impressed. The affordable prices and friendly wait staff was very appreciated. They have a great selection of rotating drafts that I enjoyed as well. I'll come here again for sure.

Huge fan, ex-peshully of the Curly Wolf. The staff is phenomenal-- super knowledgeable about wine selections, and hyper aware of dietary restrictions. They answer all questions, make really, really solid suggestions, and stay on top of things. Lunch, dinner, a random weekday evening drink and burlesque show (gasp!)-- it's always good.

After a long wait, I finally decided to check this place out for brunch with a friend using a LivingSocial coupon that I had gotten. They really did a good job on cleaning up the Old Curtis Street Bar and transforming it into a hipster foodie place. All the décor along with the rustic wood gives off a great vibe. And while I'm not a huge brunch person, I do have to give this place props for making an awesome Wild Mushroom Scramble with Haystack feta cheese, spinach and mushrooms. And since everything is better with bacon, I had to add that in to my scramble. Simply divine! My friend opted for the Ranch Burger and I had to stop him to try a bite before he completely devoured it. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 and not 5 stars, would be the service. While our waiter was super friendly, it took forever to get a drink at first and forever to get our food ordered. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience and I can't wait to try them for dinner.

Eh..... It's alright. I came for lunch on a cold April afternoon and the place was empty; it was just me. I ordered the fish tacos, on recommendation from the bartender, and a cup of the tomato bisque. It was so-so. The quality of the fish was great, but the dish itself was rather bland. The soup tasted very similar to a soup I had at Interstate Kitchen, but smaller and a little more expensive. Decor was cool; I imagine it would be a more appealing place to go for dinner, rather than lunch.

Had brunch last Saturday, sat outside, nice & quiet, no Rockies game in town. Great potatoes, usually don't like country potatoes (cubes) but these were delicious & hot. Eggs done perfectly but had to send the bacon back. Asked for slightly crispy and came out totally crisp. Waitress didn't seem too happy about it - OH well. Waffle was delicious & hot. Good Bloody's & bottomless Mimosa was good. Will return...

BOMB.COM THE staff here is AMAZING!! I went here for brunch and loved every min of it! All the food was gorgeous and the French toast was out of this world!! The guy that must of been the manger and honestly was more welcoming than anyone! Our waitress messed up many times but common mistakes and it's perfectly okay!

Whoa. The old Curtis Street Bar is now the really lovely Curtis Club restaurant and bar. I feel sad that I don't know exactly when this happened, but I feel happy that it did. The interior is warm and welcoming with tons of soft light and wood. The menu is interesting. And the cocktails are delightful. Sir Nicholas and I have been here a few times now, for drinks after a Rockies game or dinner on a date night and every time we have really enjoyed it. On our recent trip I ordered the chef's choice vegetarian plate and even though I'm not a vegetarian this plate is something I dream about on occasion. It actually changes nightly and is based on whatever is in season/on the menu/the chef has in the kitchen. It's made of 5 different smaller sized items from straight-up veggies to different kinds of grains and every single item was wonderfully different. I highly recommend trying it if you are a vegetarian or are just trying to eat more vegetables. Our service has always been lovely and welcoming and I'm happy to have this spot as an addition to the places we frequent.

Husband and I stopped in for brunch today. We've been wanting to go for awhile so were really excited to finally try it out. Unfortunately our experience wasn't so great. The host and our server were both super nice but the food was pretty lackluster. I had the eggs benedict which was pretty flavorless and Hubs got the veggie frittata which was dried out and seemed like it was made a few days ago and just reheated. Potatoes came with both and they were just plain without any seasoning. It wasn't terrible just not great. What was really disappointing though was the manager. She was yelling to people across the restaurant about the music/her night last night/etc. Finally she sat down at the bar to eat some waffles and drink what looked like a beer. I don't know about you but I don't think any staff member (esp the manager) should be eating and drinking out in the dining area when customers are there. She then started having a very loud conversation with some friends across the bar talking about all the annoying customers she has and making fun of customers' requests. If really didn't set a great tone for the restaurant and kind of ruined the experience. We live right around the corner so are super bummed that we didn't have a better time :(

My group of 7 originally wanted to go to Root Down for brunch, which had a 2 hour wait! So we relocated here, and there was parking! How refreshing! There was also no wait, this place must still be a best kept secret. I love the atmosphere of this place! Great for a date or to take friends. The decor and all the details were very well thought out, it is extremely charming. The food is also delicious here! Service is friendly. The lack of 2 stars results from: 1. We got the bottomless mimosas, which were reasonably priced, however we continuously saw the bottom of them! This was clearly not our waitresses fault (she was great!) the bartender made up new mimosas..every..single...time. I am not sure why they don't just have a decanter to bring around for refills, it would still be classy. Plus it seems wasteful to have to wash so many glasses by bringing a new one every time. This was frustrating for our table (who ordered randomly/separately for more) which I am sure made our server's job harder than it needed to be. 2. I was overcharged by my pasta, I was shocked when I saw it was $18.50! I ordered the one that was $11. I was happy with my food but the portions are small here. The waitress graciously fixed the error, it was an honest mistake. But she took a while, I had to go find her, she seemed very busy despite there not being many other patrons here. I feel like they need to implement a few new processes to get these hiccups figured out. Overall great experience, I will be back and I will recommend this place to friends.

A group of us took over a large portion of the Curtis Club on a weekday evening and gave the staff a good work out with all of our drinks, meal combinations, and desserts. The restaurant was surprisingly busy and adding our group to the mix caused some understandable delays on drink orders at the bar. However, when the drink orders arrived they were delicious! If you are a whiskey fan, you should not miss the Better Days Longshot - the Leopold's peach adds a good twist on a classic. For our dinner we enjoyed a variety of plates with some stand-outs being the duck pate, beef tenderloin, a vegetarian pasta dish, and an alpaca plate. I was intrigued by the alpaca and had to order it. It was pretty good and cooked nice & tender. Great spot and we'll be looking forward to our next visit.
(4)Shannon S.
Pros: Atmosphere is great. Cool restaurant. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great. We had the white goat cheddar cheese fondue, pork belly and diver sea scallops to start and all were delicious. For entrees, we had the halibut special, pork loin, NY strip, duck and the alpaca. All were delicious and presented lovely. Would highly recommend the alpaca if you have never had it before. Cons: The charcuterie for an additional $7 for the fondue was a joke. It was a couple pieces of cheap looking meat cut in sticks. Dessert was just ok. Also, most of the specialty cocktails were overly citrusy. My glass of Riesling tasted flat, like the bottle had been open for days. Overall good restaurant. Food looked and tasted great with good service. The check said new drink menu coming soon.
(4)Paul J.
My wife and I had dinner here on the spur of the moment for our anniversary. My roast duck was absolutely phenomenal and I say that as someone who has had the dish on multiple occasions including some much pricier venues. Service was attentive without being bothersome and the overall cost was very competitive with some more "upscale" restaurants serving the same fare. I would recommend it both for a special occasion or just as a good place to eat when you're downtown.
(4)Mark S.
Dinner for my wife and son whom we were visiting in Denver. Restaurant is changing menus and doing a new grand opening tomorrow. Considering they are in the middle of a transition we were impressed by the food service and prices. If I lived nearby I would become a regular.
(4)Ty L.
Great place for brunch there is NEVER a wait, service is quick, the food is good and there is always parking nearby.
(4)Alissa R.
Dined for brunch, chose the bottomless cranberry mimosa, and the classic version of eggs benedict. Our server was very nice but kind of forgot that my mimosa was bottomless, so up to the bar I headed only to be stopped by her with apologies. I kind of liked that the plate arrived already with a decent serving of ketchup on its own tiny plate, and was surprised to see fruit as well. The hollandaise sauce was nice, and there was plenty of ham, but the dang 'poached' eggs, solid, no runs on my plate. My friends were the same overcooked result. He didn't care and I was so hungry that I just ate them anyhow, besides I am willing to bet they would have come back solid the second time around. The decor in the place is pleasant, and the service was just fine. If I were to come back it would most likely be for a drink or happy hour, it could be a fun place to get your buzz on.
(3)Julie G.
I love Curtis Club. The staff has consistently been EXCELLENT. The drinks are solid and the food is unique and delicious. I especially love the decor - you don't HAVE to be a "hipster" to like landscape murals. Everyone likes landscape murals. Go for Sunday brunch, sit at the bar and talk about whiskey like a real Coloradan. I like the Carnival dish (or Carousal? I always mix those up) - it's vegan! I recently moved out of Colorado and I can honestly say I will truly miss this place. It is a beautiful restaurant where I have spent many days drinking and enjoying the company of friends. Great patio too.

Had been hearing a lot about the Curtis Club, which got me really curious and wanting to try it after seeing the great reviews. Went last night right after work for Happy Hour and it definitely lived up to the hype. First things first, the bartender... I think his name was Elliott? Amazing. He had such a great rapport with not only us, but everyone in the bar. He gave us some great food and drink recommendations, and was not judge-y when the third glass of wine had me loose-lipped explaining over and over again that I don't normally drink. We tried the Saffron Risotto Croquettes, which were delicious and presented beautifully but my favorite was definitely the Cured Alaskan Salmon Crostini (I could have eaten 8 of them) and the Berkshire Pork Belly. I could probably live off of the Pork Belly in an apocalypse and be happy enough to forget the world ended. These weren't just wine good, they were actually good. Sizes were small (of course with happy hour dishes and straight meat), which made it perfect to share with a friend and we were actually much more full than I expected to be. With the amazing service, the great food and wine, and the cozy but classy feel of the place I will definitely be back!

I've been here twice and wish I had the time to come more often. Well, actually I have tried to come more often but one time I walked over only to discover that they were closed for a private event. A little annoying, but it happens. The first time I went was shortly after they opened. My partner and I sat at the bar for happy hour and tried a little sampling of a whole bunch of happy hour offerings. I'm pretty sure we had the croquettes and the sliders, but this was quite a while ago so I don't really remember. I do remember that we absolutely loved everything we tried - food and drinks. The service started off great and then kind of petered into non-existence, but we still figured it was worth trying again. So, we went back just a few weeks ago for brunch and wow, were we impressed. We were cheerfully greeted at the door and given our choice of seating. Our server was professional and friendly from beginning to end; I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout-out. My partner had the wild mushroom scramble and I had the club BLT, and of course we had some cocktails. The food was served promptly and tasted just as we imagined in would - wonderfully delicious. My only regret is that we should have spent a few more summer Saturdays on their patio...
(4)Vince D.
Terrible customer service. Never eat here. Manager is incredibly rude to customers, stay away at all costs. There are plenty of other options to eat in Denver
(1)Lydia L.
These people know how to cater to your party! I hosted a happy hour tonite with a total of 100 people and they followed thru and beyond. Stayed for dinner and the pork belly app is the best!!

I have never been to this establishment. My review is based on a phone call I made to them the day I was going to pay them a visit. After that call, I decided not to give them my business due to their "customer service skills." I called to ask what their "monthly draft beer selection" was, as that is one of the options for a 2-for-1 deal in the Denver Passport. The girl who answered the phone didn't know (which I thought was odd considering it was already mid-month). She asked to place me on hold while she checked. A couple of minutes later I heard her pick back up, but she was apparently still talking back & forth with another employee, trying to get the information. I think she picked up the wrong line or something, as I said "hello" a couple times and she couldn't seem to hear me. Plus, I'm quite certain she did not intend for me to hear what was being said. I'm not sure why it was so difficult to find out what the beer was, but the other employee she was talking to asked, "What's going on?" to which the girl replied, "{sigh} I have like 800 things going on right now and then I get this phone call..." Then I got hung up on. Never even got to find out the answer to my one simple question. Sorry, girl, to call the business where you work and ask one measly, basic question, bringing your tasks at hand up to 801. Please work on your customer service skills. That was my one and only impression of the Curtis Club, and based on that--I won't be giving them my business.

You shouldn't need a steak knife to eat halibut. It's a crime what they did to that fish. For $26, I would expect a little more on the plate than mushrooms, corn and a few cherry tomatoes. Nothing really meshed flavor wise either. I was still hungry even after the dry, overcooked halibut dust cloud settled in my stomach. My date had the Ono. It was also way over cooked. I loved the decor, but the food we got was nothing to recommend, revisit or write home about.
(2)Monica L.
3.5 stars -- better than OK, but not a fan. Yelper Darika summed up the decor perfectly when she said that it is hipster meets antique meets rustic. I didn't particularly like it, but one of my friends thought it was cool. Speaking of cool, it was really cold in there when we first arrived, but fortunately they fixed that. Some of the tables are weird. My party of four was seated at an L-shaped table -- not good. As for the food, it was good, but I didn't have anything I would order again. The polenta souffle was good and the Cambazola fondue that it was drizzled with was tasty. The lobster bisque was okay. I didn't finish it and wouldn't order it again. The hickory smoked rainbow trout was okay, but I've had better trout, and the quinoa that was served with it wasn't worth eating. Everything on the chef's dessert trio was delicious. Our server was lovely.

Oh. Dear. God. My friends and I have been sitting here since 11:15. Were a group of 10 but they have a lot of open tables. Of our $13 bottomless mimosas, we have each had 2. We ordered over an hour and 20 minutes ago and haven't gotten our food. This place got panned in 5280 but I wanted to give them a chance. Never. Again. Update post food--the food is good. Really good. But we have been here for almost 2.5 hours and haven't been able to finish paying the bill. The server apologized and said it got busy ...but the restaurant wasn't ever full. We won't be back. Suggestion would be for restaurant to close for a couple weeks to reassess and fix the issues of the speed of the kitchen and bar. Not okay.

The Curtis Club is, in the words of Sam Cooke, "where it's at!!!" The one question I ask myself when considering where to dine, drink or cherish hours over both indulgences OUT is, 'where will time stop?' Isn't that the point of eating and/or drinking out? I was blown away by the unique, almost quirky yet elegant decor here. It felt that every table would offer a different experience, depending on what I were to be seeking on a particular night. I loved the intimate, isolated yet elevated and exposed vibe we chose. It was quiet but felt that we had a view of it all. First: drinks! We were in a wine mood and gulped down glasses of bubbles in Marie Antoinette-inspired glasses and quickly moved onto a bottle of fun yet serious food-pairing-worthy bottle of white for only $32! It blew us away. Dinner: The duck pate was rocking; the pre-spread garlicy toast enhanced it all. There were several cool, healthy, pre-dinner veg options; we chose just fine. Halibut... where CAN you find Halibut this GREAT these days? Very cool prep with simple accents, pretty much highlighting the fish, as any good chef will do. Rabbit was cool, but our server said that we had to come back for the Duck. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed an after-dinner drink as a few regulars navigated the juke box and several of the engaging servers came up to chat, albeit giving us ample space to just be us. What else can I say? I just reread my own little review and now I wanna go back! Sincerely, Erin

Maybe the best BLT (with avocado & a fried egg) we've ever had! Doesn't get better than that! We went for brunch on this snowy Saturday morning. I had the challah french toast that was fantastic. Bottomless mismosas were perfect balance of bubbly to oj. Definitely want to give their dinner a try after looking at the menu. Very cool atmosphere--reclaimed wood mixed with retro western look, yet modern.
(5)Valerie G.
Just got back from the best brunch at Curtis Club! Love the decor (reclaimed wood, glass chandeliers, quirky but not obnoxiously so), the food was yummy and totally reasonably priced (for the city), and our waitress was cute as a button. We got the Salmon Benedict, the Challah French Toast, and the Curtis Club Salad. Everything was great, and the French Toast was especially OMG delicious, although I'd recommend adding something on the side if you're really hungry (hence the salad). We also got our own little French press of coffee, which was a nice touch. Had to wait a while to finish paying the bill, but other than that I was a happy camper. Will definitely be back!
(5)Ashley F.
This is a cute/quaint restaurant in 5 points. The decor is rustic but so sheek! This is a Denver hidden gem! I had the BLTA and added a fried egg. The bacon was cooked to perfection! The service was great too! I will definitely return.

We've been back here several times since and I have to downgrade this review because the service has become just awful. It makes sense that you'd get plenty of attention in an empty restaurant when it first opens, but since we've repeatedly ignored, waited forever for food, had our orders messed up, etc. And then there was the comical/tragic experience where the server had taken my ID to the bar for the bartender to check it, and it JUST DISAPPEARED. No joke, it took 20 minutes after we paid our bill of asking various people to get it back. They'd say they were going to ask around and find it, then go off and do other things. After I stood up and started asking around myself someone had it. Amazing.

I came here with a buddy for dinner and left pretty unimpressed. At this price point I expected much more from the Bison Bolognese. I know this will sound harsh, but the sauce tasted like something you buy in a jar from a supermarket. My buddy got the rabbit and found it just ok. The one bright spot was the parsnip puree which was very light and airy. I thought the service was prompt and attentive and the ambiance was pretty cool, just wish the food was better.
(2)Dan S.
The food was good, but expensive for what you get. I don't know if they're going for ironic or hipster for the ambience, but it left me confused. Wait staff was attentive.
(3)Ivan R.
In a competitive industry where restaurants must bring there A game, the Curtis Club would receive a C+ grade in my book. The atmosphere and decor are great. The service was good. Now to the food: we started with the Risotto Zafron Croquettes, which were amazing, but unfortunately it went down from there. I had the bolognese and my wife had the short ribs. Both were mediocre with not a lot of flavor to anything. Sadly the small side of polenta on the short ribs was probably the best item. I found the prices to be very steep for the quality of the food. I did enjoy the Dos Diablos cocktail: Jalapeno Infused Tequila, Leopold's Blackberry, Lime, Ginger Beer I would return for the drinks, but would probably skip the dinner.
(3)Bryan C.
Good, high energy atmosphere, but very noisy. Very uneven meals. Very well prepared scallops and tasty vegetarian vegetable carnival. The hanger steak was also well done, but the fish special was quite poor. It lacked all seasoning and was overwhelmed by a grill flavor that came off like Liquid Smoke. The effective hipster ambiance and full house was also unable to compensate for a very ordinary chocolate dessert. We may go back for the bar and small bites, but not for a full dinner.

DANG. This unfortunate update must be made: I dined at CC with one other person tonight, November 16th, 2014, and we saw 4 mice scurrying about throughout the duration of our meal. *Major sigh* I love this place, but will most likely not dine there again. It was a bit scarring. Not even sure why we continued dining there after seeing the first round of mice... The food was great, if you can get past the rodents running around the floor. CC should've at least given us Mouse Monday Pricing (;

So good! Outside the building is just labeled with big lights that say 2100 but it's on the corner so you can't miss it. The interior is great, I thought, but my friends said they thought it was a little awkward. To each their own. What we did agree on was the food. Amazing around the table. Started with deviled quail eggs on toast....yum! One friend had the bison bolognese. It was rich, decadent, and delicious. Other friend had the lamb dish with lentils and dinosaur greens. So good! I went with the rabbit wrapped in house made bacon...but think really thin bacon. Almost prosciutto like. Throw in a parsnip purée and caramelized leeks and I was dying. The light sauce that was drizzled on the plate was out of control good. I really wanted to try dessert but I had no room left to cram a dessert down into. For a place that opened less than a week ago the service was on point. Besides our waitress getting a little confused when I asked her how the chef prefers to cook the duck and rabbit (she got them backwards and said medium well for duck and medium rare for rabbit). She was very attentive and made sure to refill drinks and clear plates promptly. I'm a fan of this place!
(5)Mike E.
Most importantly, the food was great. Wife's salmon was perfectly cooked and rather flavorful. The duck was phenomenal, the complexity and ingenuity of the dish was spectacular. Drinks were OK: avoid the chamomile infused cocktail unless you enjoy drinking salt water. Service was perfect Don't know how a restaurant could run out of SO MANY things that are on the menu. How do you run out of brussel sprouts, 4 different wines (out of 10-15), and maker's mark (which is in several of the cocktails) on a weeknight?
(2)Aman S.
Pretty cool brunch spot with bottomless mimosas. My friends convinced me to try the veggie burger of all things for brunch, and I have to say, it was probably one of the best veggie burgers around. I will return here again.
(4)Erin P.
The service was great! The girl shadowing our server was a little strange and stood WAY too close (pretty much on top of the table), but our server was awesome and the food was even better. If you are light hearted you should sit outside and experience the neighbors at first hand. It adds to the atmosphere. :) I will be going back soon!
(5)Jen H.
I agree the decor of the Curtis Club is interesting, but i am shocked that I am the only one mentioning how cavernous and LOUD this restaurant is. I was sitting at the bar right next to my husband and could barely hear him. The wine selection was okay. We stopped by for drinks and didn't eat and I am not sure I would return.
(3)E. S.
Just a really awesome place. One of the coolest decors I've seen in the city. Bartenders are ridiculously friendly and helpful. Came here for drinks but can't wait to come back here for food. They really out a lot of thought into it and, unlike other reviewers, I've been pretty impressed by the service. Good beer selection and house cocktails.

We had dinner here last night after hearing good things. We left feeling that it's over rated but could be great with better execution. The space is beautiful. It's an odd mashup of western, antique and modern that somehow works. We were surprised to get seated right away on a Friday night without a reservation. The restaurant and bar were full but not packed. Service was quick and attentive, although everyone seemed a little anxious. We had the duck pate, Spring penne with Bison and soft shell crab. We tried three of the cocktails. Everything, other than the penne, was okay but could have been better. The descriptions of the dishes and cocktails all sounded good in concept, but fell short one way or another in execution. The penne with Bison was the only thing that was flat out bad. The Bison was very dry, tasteless nuggets and the penne was overcooked. I wanted my wife to send it back but she can't stand to see food wasted, so she picked at it. To their credit, the waitress noticed that she wasn't enjoying it and offered to bring her something else, and one of the managers came out to see if there was anything they could do. We declined and they comped us half the cost of the dish. I give them credit for caring and trying to make things right. We wouldn't recommend Curtis Club right now, but we may try them again in 6 months or a year to see if they are able to get it together.
(3)C. W.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but the service needs a little work. I'm sure they will work the kinks out...the space is absolutely perfectly appointed and the food is worth coming back for. Our server was very friendly and happy, but took more than 20 minutes to approach us when we sat, and we had to get up and find him 2 additional times. The hostess didn't seem to care the people were putting their coats on/freezing even when we mentioned it to her--she simply stated that she was hot from running around. It ain't about you, honey! Can't wait to come back though, just to hang out in the space again and have some tasty creative dishes.
(4)James B.
excellent white bean soup! very good duck entrée. Will go back again.
(4)Eric H.
Really cool atmosphere. Make sure you check out the restrooms. Peep through the window in the men's room :) Nice addition to a neighborhood with not much else around (up and coming, like 9/10 of Denver right now). We went for brunch. The challah french toast was good and just the right portion. Tomato bisque was great. Club BLT was better than your average BLT. NOT a sports bar, we have enough of those anyway. Worth checking out.

My boy friend took me to the Curtis Club on Saturday. We had reservations and were seated right away. As one reviewer mentioned the noise, we were lucky enough to get the table by the quite jukebox. A plus to the location of the Curtis Club, was that it was easy and safe to walk to, if you live downtown. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the food and made some good recommendations. I had the duck my boyfriend had the alpaca. He said he would have it again...I did have to have a taste, and if you are adventurous, go for it. It was delicious, but I just couldn't get over the "Oh, alpacas are really cute". This is probably the same reason I can't eat rabbit. The agradulce sauce on the duck and faro was amazing. I need to learn how to make it for sure! Although the portion left me a bit hungry, each bite was amazing, taste, texture and color.

So yeah, this place. Well we went to dinner with some friends here for the first time on NYE. Made reservations. Got there, and waited 30 minutes. Sat down. Waited another 15 for anyone to stop by. There was silverware dropping on the floor literally every 3 minutes. People running around, and an unorganized shit show. It felt like opening night of a place staffed with people who had never served before. We went with the wine pairing, and as expected by the time our server put down the glasses, there was no description. I got her attention and asked what it was. 'Chardonnay', and walked away. I motioned to her, what's the name? 'I don't know, I can ask'. After she returned, I asked where it was from. 'Um, not sure, but I can ask.' Clown convention of service aside, most of the food was pretty good. I would love to eat here again, but am really not interested in dealing with amateur hour. Service.

The Curtis Club was an excellent dining experience. I went with a friend on Saturday, 1/25. We had fantastic service. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the brussel sprout salad, which was divine. These were not brussel sprouts of your childhood! They were fresh and crisp with a delicious dressing, a perfect appetizer to the meal. For the main course, I had the beef tenderloin with the cauliflower gratin. The beef was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection (I prefer rare). The wine sauce complimented the meat and made for a juicy, flavorful meal. The cauliflower gratin was delicious as well. It tasted rich and creamy with a perfect crust on top from the broiler. My friend had the rabbit rilette and the duck. I sampled both and they were fabulous. I especially loved the duck, and I plan to order that next time I go. For dessert, we had an apple cheesecake and a layered Italian cookie with chantilly cream. Both were drool-worthy sweets, but without being too heavy and leaving you miserably full. The entire meal was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend foodies to try out this new eatery, you won't be disappointed.

Dinner was delicious, service exceptional. I will return. The halibut was out of this world, salad exceptional and chocolate dessert was totally yummy. Our table was in the raised part of the room which gave us the opportunity to see the restaurant in action. Lots of patrons enjoying a lovely evening and a super meal.

Yum, Yum Yum. Went for the first time during Restaurant week which is sometimes an oversold disaster. They have left ample space between tables so it's not so loud. We had delish goat cheese fondue,I mean REALLY delish, the best veggie "burger" I've ever had, a solid pear/greens/feta salad and a pork dish that was only for restaurant week but they may add to the regular menu. I didn't drink on that night but the cocktail menu looks tasty. Service was solid. I would definitely go back. They have many GF/Vegan options if that's your thing.

Made a random reservation on a Saturday night to a restaurant that we could walk to. This one popped up and it just opened in October, so why not. Once I stepped in, I was glad I made a reservation, there were no open tables for walk ins. There were 3 birthday parties going on but none were rowdy. The decor was hipster meets antique meets rustic. The hostess sat us right away and our water glasses were filled quickly. Our waiter was very welcoming and told us about the specials right away. Their wine list is limited but not too bad. I started with the rabbit was I didn't realize was a spread. It came with beets and chopped basil. The spread was on top on a thick toast then a quail deviled egg in the middle of each. But the beets and basil on top of all that and it was delicious. There were 4 toasts, could be for 4, but I ate all of them. He got the pear salad with frisee and walnuts. I'm not a fan of frisee, too fru fru for me. For entrees he got the beef tenderloin with cauliflower. The beef was perfectly cooked as med rare like requested. The cauliflower was good like a soup, needed more potatoes or root veggies or something though. What I ordered was out of this world. Yes, its the most expensive item on the menu, but well worth it. I ordered the Lobster and grits. A perfectly cooked lobster tail on top of creamy grits that have been mixed with crispy bites of lardon. Oh, I love lardon, and lobster and then you have it with grits! I was a little loud eating this dish, I had a hard time listening to conversation. I would eat this for breakfast everyday. I'm going to just say that this is the best dish I've had this year. We finished off with the lemon souffle. It was very soft and not too lemony and topped with pomagranate seeds. I have high hopes for this restaurant. Please everyone go support restaurants like this.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A group of us came tonight for dinner and we saw multiple mice running around. We let the server know and it was more of a "ahhh yeah we know - it's that time of year" response. That time of year?! Yikes! I don't have mice at my house and I esp don't want to pay for a meal with mice running around. My friend told me they saw the mice in October as well - it's now middle of January ... Three months later. How is this not fixed?! VERY farm to table experience indeed ;)
(1)Eliza F.
"A-OK" is certainly how I'd describe it! The beef (as opposed to veggie burger) sliders were fantastic! The Malbec was good. The decor is very grown-up hipster/Euro/Western. One thing that I did appreciate about the place: it's certainly wheelchair and scooter-friendly. The rest of the apps that my friend and I had were good, but nothing to totally rave about. Fancy, a bit complicated, impressive-sounding and tasty - yes, but not rave-worthy. I'll put this on the list of places I'd like to actually order an entree (& skip the apps) next time. I bet they put more time and attention into the entrees.
(3)Miriam H.
Best new spot in the downtown area. Highly recommend, the owner is really nice and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting.

My girlfriend (wine rep with an incredible palate) and I (industry experience and dining enthusiast) had dinner last night. Lovely greet at the door, gave us three options for where we could sit, and made us feel welcome to look around so that we could make the best choice for us. Sat us up on stage and immediately, we felt great, lovely texture of woods, velvet. lighting, fixtures/decor. The place definitely has an identity. We quickly made the note that their seemed to be little to no audible music playing, and as the night went on, we both agreed that their music playlist or "theme", was lacking in continuity and was not complimenting the space as best as it could. And as we all know, music is so much a part of the vision. Our server was friendly, easy to talk to, offered recommendations and open to answering questions. A lack of notice to empty water glasses, and our second course came too quick, and the delivery of communication to address it could have been better. Both the bean & beet salad and duck pate were really lovely, as was the champagne we started with. I especially loved the garlic/butter spread on the bread accompanying the pate. Halibut was amazing. Rabbit was tender, but the dish itself was a touch incomplete, a demi glaze may have bumped it up. Wine, the CHABANG, a Cali White Bordeaux style blend, sauv blanc, semillion/ ?..., my friends choice, could not have been more spot on, and the price point is a steal. The French Press at the end was perfectly done, all glassware was polished, the timing on the clearing of the table was perfect. The whole staff was really lovely, all and all, the service was great, but can always be improved upon with mindfulness. Would definitely recommend the place and hope to be back in soon.
(4)Alex J.
Great interior vibe, had lunch here once, happy hour once, will certainly go back when I can. They are located near where I work downtown and have great non-alcoholic drinks for mid day. Their lamb slider and sweet corn soup was amazing. Will be back!
(5)Sushmi D.
Glad I discovered this place! Granted, we had to wait 35 minutes to be seated, but that just means it's good plus our hostess was very sweet. They have these non alcoholic beverages to die for, not too sweet just right. I had the lobster and grits which was good but I found myself coveting my dates beef tenderloin. The desserts were alright, we had the Bavarian Cream and chocolate souffle. Overall, the food here is worth coming here. We had a really great server, I couldn't remember his name but he just seemed so happy being there. I love this place, its a true gem.
(4)Therese B.
We dined here last weekend and loved our food and our waitress Ginny was just wonderful. We decided to go and celebrate my birthday here because we watched their superb chef prepare paella for the Taste of Colorado food demonstration. The food was exceptional. but the general manager really cast a pall on the vibe here. His personality was dour and unfriendly .... if you paid attention, you could feel the tension he created . Sad because everything else was fantastic. On another note, the two dishes my husband wanted to order they were out of (Filet and Halibut) and they did not have vanilla ice-cream!!! Our reservation was at 7:30 so we were perplexed as to why they could be out of food so early?
(5)Frank N.
We came here with a group of 8 on 11/16. Awesome place! Highly, highly recommend. They have very good, creative cocktails with local spirits and craft beers. I had a local blonde ale and a jalapeno infused cocktail that I (and my group) loved. We started the night with a charcuterie plate. A couple of meats and a few changes, but nothing that really stood out. 2nd course consisted of a brussel sprout salad and a roasted winter salad. These were very good, very well done. For entrees, we ordered: rabbit, duck, and the tenderloin. We passed around the entrees for everyone to sample and everyone raved about the flavors and combination of ingredients. Everything represented on the plates worked very well together. Especially the rabbit with the caramelized leek. I don't normally eat dessert because I've never really liked sweets, but i have a slight affinity towards bread pudding. On this night, I ordered the sticky bourbon toffee pudding cake. Whoa! This dessert was pretty awesome. The meal, the service, the drinks...it was all very good. Not bad for being only 2 weeks young. We definitely plan on coming back!
(4)Amanda D.
We had dinner here the other night and the food was great! We had the lobster bisque which was surprisingly light. The cheese plate, always a good call. And the Rabbit and Duck plates. The Duck was good, though a little vinegary for my tastes. The Rabbit was wrapped in bacon and absolutely phenomenal. Crispy and Savory on top of the smoothest turnip puree I have ever had. The service was impeccable. We did make a reservation per other yelpers suggestions, but didn't need it on a Friday night.
(4)Stacey B.
Loved the style, decor and ambiance. Although our server was friendly and professional, she was overwhelmed. Took 10+ minutes to order. After we ordered, we didn't get our food for 20 minutes and still didn't see her again. The food was delivered by the guy who showed us to our table. I got the goat cheese fondue, which tasted great but the dish was half full and the menu description says "CRUDITES." I got carrots. The sour dough bread was good, but could have been warmed. The presentation was pathetic: carrots and bread. The dish was not colorful and presented very bland. I allowed the server, when she finally came back, to save face by asking if someone called in sick today. She was working her butt off but Not worth $11 app...
(2)Brian Z.
Wine was great, rabbit was great, tenderloin was awesome, really enjoyed the cauliflower side. The charcuterie.....if your not gonna do it right, don't do it. Very weak.
(3)Amy O.
I've hear such great things about this place.. so I'm really disappointed to report that I didn't have a great experience. A group of friends and I went in for the opening night of Angelshare at 7:30. We were greeted with a sign on the door noting that they were closing at 8:30 for a private event. This would have been okay since we were just stopping in for drinks however the bartender was not friendly, and presented us with our bill around 8:00. We felt rushed and were out of there by 8:15, barely being able to enjoy the cocktails that were our sole purpose for coming in. :(
(3)Emily C.
One of the best meals I have had in Denver. The service was outstanding. The food was prepared perfectly. The portions were generous. I had the filet which was perfectly medium rare with a light char on the outside. My dad had the rabbit which was extraordinary. We started with the trout cake spoons from the happy hour menu which were fabulous. When we had some confusion on the menu the waitress quickly adapted to our confusion and treated my father to side of oysters as if it was the restaurants fault. It wasn't. When they were out of the drink I wanted she comped the one I did order. Impeccable service truly. I have also been in for happy hour which has great sharable apps for great prices. Their experienced bartenders can whip up sultry drinks with any liquor you desire including several colorado spirits. The atmosphere is thoughtful and welcoming. What a great addition to our town! Oh and parking seems to be plentiful in the area.

I was privileged to attend a private gathering by invite only to try the menu at what I know will be one of the best new hotspots for Denver Dining. The rustic/vintage atmosphere gave a real down-home country feel with barn-wood floors, walls and ceilings, and an old Wurlitzer Americana II jukebox that actually works and plays old vinyl 45's in the back. The barstools are tractor seats, and the bar is a really nice rusted steel with a beautiful mural of a mountain landscape. It was very apparent that a lot of thought went into every detail, as the chair upholstery matched the wallpaper with a unique deer-skull antler pattern. Now for the food. As far as I know, all the meats came from local Colorado farms. I tried the oysters (Pacific and Atlantic), lamb, rabbit, and bison. All were perfectly cooked to proper temperature, and very tastefully accompanied with fresh vegetables and sauces to compliment each course. I will return to try the deviled quail eggs with rabbit confit, as well as the cauliflower au-gratin, which I was told were amazing. I can't begin to explain how good the bananas-foster tasted, and the baked Alaska was reportedly great as well. The waitstaff were all very professional, knowledgeable of the menu and how it is prepared, able to explain it well, and for a private event, all food was delivered promptly which speaks volumes for a new kitchen and waitstaff. All in all I have to say this is going to be one of my new favorite places to have a high-caliber meal without breaking the bank, and I know it will quickly be one of Denver's front-runners for best new restaurant.
(5)Maria W.
1 star for the bison pasta. Unfortunately, everything else, from service to entrees, was sub par.
(1)Bruce F.
I love the understated wood facade. The modern western interior includes tin ceiling tiles, wood planks, wallpaper and large windows. The same understated attention to detail is in the food. Our table shared a tiny but most delicious brussels sprout salad to start. Everyone enjoyed their entree. I had lobster and grits both excellent and I really enjoyed the pairing. For dessert we shared milk chocolate pot de creme and a vanilla bean yogurt cake. Both desserts were quickly devoured. The Curtis Club has a great vibe.
(4)Mike L.
My hopes were high for the Curtis Club as I live three blocks away and was hoping for a new neighborhood go-to spot. Unfortunately, both the food and service fell a little flat. The atmosphere upon walking through the 2100 building is very cool. It's a 70's cigarette lounge meets old western saloon kind of place. I expected a Jeff Bridges character to show up any minute. Very cool decor and theme throughout. The menu features goods from local purveyors and farms; same goes for the beer and wine list. I'm not a cocktail fan, so I can't say that I even gave that menu a glance. Our server was delightful but, despite there only being eight other people in the restaurant, seemed perpetually overwhelmed. Our wine was somewhat slow to come but the pours were generous, and the food was prompt. We started with an underwhelming cold winter vegetable salad and the deviled quail eggs on dry, dense bread. This first course was the most disappointing part of the experience. In addition to the salad being unexpectedly cold and lacking in flavor, the kale was nothing more than a garnish; the balance between the components was off. The deviled eggs and rabbit rillet carried good flavor but I would be surprised to find that the bread was actually toasted and not just dry from being left out overnight. A better choice of airier bread could have really let this dish pop. Entrees were better, and they give me hope for the restaurant. We enjoyed a sea bass special and the lobster with grits. Both were well-presented, flavorful, and satisfying. I have faith that The Curtis Club will get their feet under them and once patronage picks up, the service will match. It's just too close to give up on yet!

Wow - Fantastic. We came here for happy hour on Saturday and sat at a high-top table near the bar. The atmosphere is woody and cozy. It felt like we were in an old western saloon in Durango. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the bass cake spoons, the saffron risotto croquettes, the lamb slider (the day's "special creation"), and the salmon crostini. Really impressive taste and presentation. I probably wouldn't order the salmon crostini again (it wasn't a stand out), but everything else was soooo good that we had to order the toffee pudding for dessert. Geez, I would come back for that pudding alone. Yum -oh. The service was spot-on. Adam was our server and he was super attentive and knowledgeable... and this was just happy hour! We plan to return for dinner soon. My husband has his eye on the Spring Tree Farms Rabbit. I'm betting the Curtis Club has a bright future in the Denver foodie scene.
(5)Nomad T.
Went here for brunch. It was OK, not great. Nothing was bad, just kinda meh. I did like the vibe and ambiance, though, so I'll probably go back and try out dinner. Looks like it'd be a cool place to grab a cocktail.
(3)Patrick T.
Had a very nice supper here recently. The Good: The entrees we had (trout, foraged mushrooms) were beautifully plated, tasty, filling. Great location by the 20th St Post Office, with plenty of parking. The Fair: May benefit from a larger beer selection. There was a longish wait between appetizer and entree, some bread to much on would be nice! Panella was too salty. Looking forward to trying the other dishes.

My boyfriend and I went to Curtis Club early on a Friday night (it was around 5:30pm). The hostess was nice and greeted us, but asked if we had a reservation. I said no and she said, "well I guess we can fit you in". Which confused me b/c there were maybe 3 tables filled and the rest of the place was empty. We were seated and greeted quickly by our server. We ordered drinks & I was surprised that they only had one Cabernet available to order by the glass (which ended up being really dry). We ordered the white goat cheese fondue to start. It was delicious. I had the Tender Belly Pork Loin with Fried Green Tomatoes and White Cheddar Mac & Cheese & he had the Spring Tree Farms Rabbit -House Pancetta Wrapped, Creamy White Polenta, Marinated Artichokes, Sweet Peas & Preserved Lemon. Both were very tasty and hit the spot. We decided to have another round of drinks (instead of dessert) and after another 20 minutes or so our waiter and the hostess started giving us a look like they were ready for us to leave so they could sit another couple who was waiting. That's the main reason I only gave 3 stars. We spent over $100 for our meal and they have the nerve to try and nonchalantly push us out? No thank you! Food was worth 4 stars. Service was 2 stars.

Be prepared. This is not the old Curtis Street Bar. In fact, it is the exact opposite of the old Curtis Street Bar. I guess if you are looking for an alpaca burger or something else as equally obscure in a pretentious setting, this is the place. Not really a place for non-hipsters.

We love this place so much we decided on returning with some friends for restaurant week. Though the menu is limited and our options fewer, there was still plenty to choose from. The four of us started with two orders of the crispy farm egg and two orders of the summer beet and bean salad. Both were delicious, especially the bean salad. Refreshing !!!. All of us thought that the pickling was just right and didn't overtake the salad. The crispy farm egg is downright delectable. We wish there was more. For the entrees, I had the Trout, which I was so overwhelmed with on our first visit and my wife had the tender belly pork loin. Our friends both had the penne. While the trout was cooked perfectly and the surrounding horseradish and fennel were ideal, the potato latke , this time, was just a bit too salty for me and while it didn't ruin the dish, it certainly made me reminisce about the perfection I had when I tasted the dish last visit. My wife's pork loin was....well...not as tender as she would have liked. I tried it and agreed. Just a tad tough. The Chefs trio for dessert was good and I once again thought the key lime was the best part...but the smaller portion left me wanting more. This place has a great feel to it. The bartender was fabulous as she told me about her signature drinks ( $12.00 each ) and the hostess , waitress and all others make you feel welcomed. I once again gave the curtis club 4 stars, but for this visit, because the plates were not AS good as out last experience, it is the lower end of the 4's. We will be back again for sure !!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness I get to end 2015 Restaurant Week on a high note. (I had one remarkably bad experience and one that was good, but with a lackluster main course.) My friends got the salad for their small bites, and it was very nice-- flavorful and interesting. I opted for the mushroom soup, which was delicious and packed with mushroom flavor, though it wasn't quite warm enough. Then for the share plates, we got veggie sliders and fondue, which were both excellent. The sliders were particularly good, without any of the host of depressing things that so often plague veg burgers (overly soft or dry texture, lack of flavor, weird crunchy things throughout, etc.). For the main, my friends got the pork loin, which they said was great, and I got the vegetarian carnival, which (halleluja) lives up to its name: nicely seasoned mashed potatoes, sauteed carrots with green beans, broccoli & cauliflower; and Swiss chard with mushrooms. It was lovely and delicious, especially the smoky, perfectly cooked chard, which is good enough to return for by itself. We split the two dessert options too, and while the pumpkin bread pudding was pretty good, the caldera cake stole the show: deliciously chocolaty without being overly sweet or one-note.

If you're a carnivore or a lover of fine cocktails you mustn't miss this. The food is just wonderful, quality local ingredients presented in creative, balanced combinations. We had the rabbit, duck and alpaca along with fondue to start and every dish was equally delightful. The bartender also has a very fine hand and the wait staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Great mellow atmosphere; overall a great time.

Lunch menu was perfect with great options and a little sophistication. Colorful ranch burger was perfectly cooked with amazing taste. BLT was delicious! Great meal and ambiance with friendly service. Come here before a ball game to avoid the ballpark food and you won't be disappointed- it's a home run!

I was really impressed with The Curtis Club and the food was delicious! Our table ordered the White Goat Cheddar Fondue, which was divine! I couldn't eat the bread that came with it and our server was more than happy to make alterations for me. She actually was more than happy to help with any alterations I needed due to my gluten sensitivity. I'm so impressed when a restaurant is willing to work with you on this versus acting like it's such a pain for them. I am a dedicated customer when restaurant staff is helpful and friendly like they were at The Curtis Club. I ordered the Alaskan Halibut for dinner and was not disappointed! It was so tasty!! We also ordered the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese (which is made with gluten-free pasta, by the way) and our whole table couldn't get enough of it. We even asked for the recipe and the manager was happy to share. The staff here is really friendly and knowledgable, I truly believe that makes the place so welcoming and great. The ambience is cozy, fun and eclectic. I will definitely return to the Curtis Club and look forward to when I do!

Went to The Curtis Club last night for a Girls Night Out. The decor was amazing! It's very cozy and warm in there. Our waitress was adorable, very attentive and knowledgable about the menu and the kitchen. We had a couple of dietary restrictions in our group and she have us several options as replacement, no question, no up charging. We ordered the goat cheese Mac and cheese which was divine, very creamy and rich. We asked half jokingly if the manager if we could have the recipe, he came back with the printed out recipe for each of us and a coupon for our next visit. As if that wasn't enough, they brought us out a complimentary dessert sampler, truly amazing! The food, the atmosphere and especially the service was top notch, I will definitely be going back!

This place was beyond our expectations. Beautiful, handmade tables was the first plus. Kind, helpful, attentive service added to our delight. Being a vegetarian, I usually have one okay option- not here- the Vegetarian Carnival was delish! My meat and fish eating family was also impressed with the yum mines, as well as the beautiful presentation of the platters!

The food was good but overshadowed by how bad the service was. My group of 8 was there last night and I got there a tad late because I had a flight. I sat down for 15 minutes before I was asked for my drink order. The drink was done in 10-15 minutes and again the waitress was nowhere to be found so we started ordering drinks from the bar. I did this 3 times and asked the waitress if should could keep a better eye on the table which she rudely replied that she has more than one table. She then told the manager that I was unruly because she felt bad and the bearded gentleman came over and managed to tell me I was cut off anymore alcohol after 3 drinks in an hour. There was no keeping this from the table either, his point was to embarrass me in front of the 7 other people at the table by making a scene and announcing it them. I then told him to take the already included 20% tip off the bill so,we could tip for according to the actual service. The waitress had no clue on the beer menu and the Managment of this establishment should do a better job firing and hiring bc this seems to be theme with this place. If you like empty glasses and rude waitresses, this is the place to be.

I loved this new spot in Ballpark area of Denver. It's got a cool, low key vibe - cozy, swanky, but not pretentious at all. The staff was awesome - we were polity greeted at the door, and choose to sit at the bar. Our bartender was fun, efficient and very knowledgeable. You can do anything from local brews to fun mixology cocktails. The menu isn't overwhelming, but offers lots of options depending on what fare you prefer and also gives you choices on small offerings or full dinner entrees. We went small plates and everything was fantastic - especially the tomato lobster bisque. Good portion sizes and price. Overall - Great neighborhood feel, cool vibe, and super food. I so glad this place opened and I will definitely be back!

I had 8:30pm reservations for 4 on NYE after 30 min they sent us a free round of champagne which was wasted as both wives are pregnant. I thanked them anyway and they assured us a few more minutes...THIRTY minutes later after waiting an hour after our reservation we were finally seated. We could have eaten anywhere but I chose here as the reviews were good and the prices reasonable. It was another 10 minutes before our server asked for our drink order we ordered appetizers but since I could not get anyone to bring me a spoon I was unable to eat my lobster bisque. The service was slow, haphazard and sporadic. The rabbit was absolutely delicious and in the future if we are in that area I would get food to go. Oysters were very fresh and delicious as were the quail eggs. The lamb was delicious but the tenderloin was tough and didn't have a lot of taste. There are just too many restaurants with excellent food AND service...this isn't one of them. Definitely was hoping for more. On a side note VERY strange décor.

I've only been for lunch, but it's got good service and a delicious, if limited, menu.

Nice restaurant. Very nice service but a little slow in between apps to main course and main course to dessert. Affordable for high quality food but small portion size. Was still hungry after 3 courses

I was at the opening of this new restaurant last night and it was spectacular. The starter salad was perfectly crafted. The duck two ways was a great combination of tastes and was wonderfully juicy. The meal was capped off with a fantastic baked Alaska, when was the last time you saw baked Alaska on a menu? Cool new space in a transitioning neighborhood made me feel very trendy indeed. I had been lamenting recently that even though Denver has a great food scene, we needed something new and fresh, and we found it in Curtis club!
