She did say the medium was hot. And boy was it ever! I got the chicken stir fry - level 4 because I do love me some heat, but didn't want to be soaked in sweat while working from the office. I walked in looking for some take out, the women politely pointed out their specials and made a suggestion. I went with what I was craving, some spicy chicken stir-fry. The taste was amazing, and the heat sneaks up on you pretty quick. I broke a sweat and loved it. Also had the shrimp spring rolls. The peanut sauce with it is fantastic. I would make it a tad more spicy, but excellent none the less!

Amazing food, amazing service... Something so humble about these folks and they cater to customers so well. The sushi chef recommended the Lucy Roll to us and it's the best sushi roll I've ever had! They even have the shrimp paste and fermented crab option to put in papaya salad if you're into the super authentic Thai. Hands down 5 stars for this place. Been to another Thai Monkey Club... I wonder if they're all chained somehow...

Thai Monkey Club was spectacular!! We got it delivered and honestly there tom ka soup was amazing!!! Red curry was soooooo good! Fresh rolls needed more than one shrimp in each and way more peanut sauce! But pretty darn good!!

Food was good. I got the dumplings and basil fried rice. Basil fried rice wasn't as hot or spicy as I would've expected. The lady said the medium level was spicy but it really wasn't. I would try the high level of spicy next time.

It pains me to write this review because I've been a Thai Monkey Club loyalist since I first moved out here 5 years ago, but this past weekend I've never had such a bad customer service experience in my life. My friend and I decided to go the delivery route on Sunday night, being that we didn't feel like moving from the couch and called up Thai Monkey Club -Colfax at 6PM to place an order. They informed me that it would be 45min-1hr delivery time, pretty standard, I thought. After an hour and 20 minutes go by I call the restaurant inquiring as to the whereabouts of my food. The woman on the telephone, clearly frazzled, seems unable to recall my order and doesn't have record of my name or me calling. No big deal...I used to work in the restaurant industry and I know these things happen, people forget to ring up orders for the kitchen...although I will admit this isn't the first time they've screwed up a delivery order of mine. She said that the order was up and the driver was on his way.... After another 40 minutes (2 full hours after the original order was placed), I called the restaurant again and asked the same woman whether or not I needed to cancel my order and look elsewhere. She said no, the driver was actually outside and they were just about to call me." So I go outside to meet the delivery driver except hes not there....I wait another 20 minutes and call the restaurant back one more time. I spoke to the same woman and expressed my disappointment, explained how I'm a repeat customer and have never had to wait 2.5 hours for food. This is where the customer service deficiency really kicked in. No apology, no corrective measure, no offering to comp the meal or even offer to take off the appetizer that we ordered. Instead they person on the other end of the phone simply said "Well, I guess tonight wasn't your night" and hangs up the phone. I promptly called back and cancelled my order and went to Chada Thai down the street. The food has its moments but you don't treat customers like that. Unfortunately I wont be visiting this place again, there are plenty of thai places in Denver that offer up just as good if not better fare who actually appreciate the repeat business.

Stayed at the Sheraton for an oncology conference and I was really craving some Thai food. I didn't feel like ordering in-room service (again), so I went with Eat24. I ordered egg rolls, pad see ew, and Thai iced tea. Man, the reviews weren't lying about the heat level. They didn't have a 'no spicy' option when I ordered via Eat24, so I figured, mild wouldn't be too bad, right? Oh my goodness. My tongue was burning. I was sipping the Thai iced tea like crazy. Other than the spice level, the noodles were just okay. Had this strange vinegar-smell to it that I've never smelled on pad see ew before. Unpleasant. Thai iced tea was pretty standard, but it was so sweet that I had to water it down with 1.5 cups of water before it was drinkable. I don't know when I'll be back in Denver again, but I probably won't eat here next time.

My husband and I ate here because of a good yelp rating while visiting Denver, but the place raised red flags for us as soon as we walked in the door. This is a Japanese and Thai restaurant. The old adage of do one thing and do it well definitely does not apply here. We only had Thai food, but it was probably the worst Thai food we've ever had. We both ordered a curry medium. While the waitress said it was spicy (which why does a medium need a spice warning?), what it did not prepare us for was the fact that it was a spice that doesn't fit with a Thai flavor profile and totally over-powered the rest of the dish, in the worst way. Thai spice should be a sweet, flavorful spice, generally from fresh chilies or a paste. This tasted more like a powdered, dry heat more commonly used in Chinese cooking. We could both handle the heat level, but the taste was revolting. The Thai Iced tea and coconut water we had were fine, nothing special. The appetizer (chicken satay) was low quality meat with bland satay sauce. Everything was ok, not great though, until we got to our curries, which we couldn't even finish, it was so bad.

Food was pretty tasty here. The area is kinda sketchy on Colfax at night, and we ate in. Still a nice experience. Had the thom ka, a noodle dish, and two curries. Everything tasted yummy. Spice level is legitimate. They had some pop music on TV, which I wished was weirder Asian music videos. Another restaurant that puts broccoli in the curries, there are a couple without. I like broccoli, just not in my Thai curries.

East Colfax really needed a new Thai place. Thai Monkey Club is the perfect addition to my favorite stretch of land, and has become my go to place for addicting food ever since Emilio's closed (RIP). I like their levels of spicy: mild, mild+, medium, medium+, hot, and Thai Hot. Because I think I more in the middle of medium and hot. I love my hot food and I love my Thai hot food. Shall I dare try the Thai Hot here? Stay tuned. I was not a fan of their appetizers (my favorite Americanized crab cheese wontons tasted like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while), but who needs appetizers when you have tasty Thai food? My test of good Thai food is their curry, and this place has damn tasty Green Curry. Chock full of veggies and spices, with just enough rice to mix in. Yum. The sushi (sushi? At a Thai place? Surely, you must be mad! Don't call me Shirley) is decent. They have a great lunch special that comes with 4 pieces of nigiri with big honking pieces of fish on top, 4 crunchy rolls, and a sashimi seaweed salad. Good deal and fills me up for less than 10 bucks when I need sushi fast. I usually order take-out on the Eat 24 app, and it is a cinch to order. It's what made Thai Monkey Club one of my new go-to places when I don't want to cook.

We ordered: -pad see ew spicy and medium: comes with soup of the day (today's is tofu soup). The soup is really good, nice tasty clear broth. They don't joke around with the spiciness level. -seafood Tom yum: nice and tangy, but the saltiness overwhelms it. -fried fish lemongrass: tender and juicy. I actually like the sauce it comes with, but it's just too salty. Everything here so super salty!! It's not so bad once we mixed it with some rice.

Note to self: Be on the look-out for Thai monkeys having sex. Why? 'Cause those Thai monkeys are proliferating like bunnies having had too many drinks at a Bill Cosby sleepover. There are now 5 Thai Monkey Club restaurants in the Denver area (and it would have been 6, but the one in Golden recently closed). The one I went to today was spectacular. It's located literally right across the street from the front doors of the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception just up the street from the Capitol. And Holy Mother of God is their food spicy and delicious. The place was empty when I came in at quarter to 1 p.m. for a late lunch, and that's too bad because no other place in the area serves Thai food in the same class. Had the Drunken Noodles with pork, ordered medium hot. I was warned that their "medium hot," for a farang like me, prolly equaled more like what I might think of as "purty damn hot," but the sweetheart of a server didn't know she was dealing with someone who for years has partied with many Thai monkies (see, e.g., my review of the S. Bdwy TMC). The Drunken Noodles they delivered were perfect. That along with a sinful Thai Iced Tea raised the bill to around $13, but it was way more than worth it (they also have several luncheon specials that include soup for $8.99). So you should check it out. They appear to need the customers and you'll do yourself a favor in getting some of the best Thai food in the Capitol Hill--if not whole Denver--area. So rock on, Thai monkies, rock on! Yours truly, David "Medium Hot" M.

Best Thai food I've had outside of Hawaii. The Panang was great! Great, friendly service and a clean, nice place.

Ordered pick-up today. First time I've ever been here. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu - medium hot heat. They were absolutely delicious! Generous portion with plenty of fresh veg and tofu (some Thai places skimp on the add ins, not this place)! Perfect Thai flavor and heat! Highly recommended!

We tried this place earlier this evening & were very pleased with the outcome. It's easy to stroll by this place but it's worth popping your head inside for a bite. We didn't try their sushi but the Thai food was delicious. Both my fella & I had curry dishes, which were quite yummy. Their fried egg rolls & dipping sauce were amazing! The place was incredibly clean & the staff was very friendly. Anytime we're in Denver, we'll definitely come back!

This place was so good! Highly recommend it, food was great and the service was exceptional. They kept my soda glass full, which I love.

We ordered from Eat 24 because this had a good rating, but we were disappointed. It wasn't that it was horrible, but it certainly wasn't great! Way better Thai delivery in the area. We started with the steamed dumplings and they were excellent, but the rest of the dinner was just so-so and the Pad Thai was way off! It looked like Pad Thai, but didn't taste anything like it. We probably will not be ordering from here again because there are so many better options.

We've tried many Thai delivery places in the area (in City Park West) and this is by far the best. After a long time of trying, we finally found the best one. The Massuman Curry and Pad See Ew are both great and flavorful which was a pleasant change from the many bland ones we tried before. Have not been to the place yet, but are planning to get more delivery. In this area for delivery, I would recommend none other.

Food was fantastic! Came into the place not expecting much and left more than satisfied. Great portion sizes. I got the panang curry and loved it. So full of flavor and deliciousness! Be careful if you don't like spicy food, I got medium and it was more than a little spicy. My mouth is still feeling the burn. I'm totally into that so I loved it! I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Really great curry and noodles. Not so much a fan of the egg rolls but everything else is awesome.

I am very picky about Thai food so I am always nervous to try a new place. This place was delicious! I ordered the red curry and it had a ton of veggies and tofu which I appreciated. I ordered medium spice and I have to agree with most other reviewers, it was a bit hotter than I expected but did not take away from the dish at all. Just be careful if you have a sensitivity to hot food. I am in town for a week and will be ordering again before I leave.

Visited this for the 2nd time in a year. Boy has this place gone bad. Proteins were over-cooked (Burned almost), over-salted everything we ordered; the curry was thin and tasteless, barely could detect the coconut, let alone all the other Thai flavors; the khow soy so salty I could not finish it. The cook wasn't paying attention to anything he cooked that night. I am NOT returning.

Thai Monkey Club on Broadway has long been one of my favorite restaurants in town. The new location .au be even better than the original. It opened without much fanfare (I didn't even realize it wasn't the same Thai place here before). Still, it has that perfect thai place in the city vibe you really want. Pad Khing was fantastic. My wife's red curry nearly perfect. This will be a several times a week kind of place for me. Welcome to Cap Hill Thai Monkey Club!
