Good service and delicious meal. The salmon yum dish is quite appetizing.

This is my favorite restaurant in Denver! We have seriously eaten here once a week for the past 2 months. Many Thai restaurants serve the saddest veggies with their dishes, but Taste of Thailand serves veggies that actually crunch :) They have an herb garden too, so all of their herbs taste super fresh. My new favorite dish is the Turmeric Kow Pad, but I am always a fan of their Pad Thai as well. You can customize your dishes to be as mild or spicy as you'd like. The owners are the nicest people! They are always working in the restaurant at night and chatting with customers at the tables. They were there on the 4th of July and even gave us a free mango sticky rice for dessert! The rest of the staff is super friendly and definitely remember their regulars. Recently, they added a coconut ice cream, but it has condensed milk in it. They should make one with coconut milk! Hint, hint :)

*Very Nice Staff (they always offer water while waiting for to go orders! The food comes out fast!!! *The food is very good and fresh (Love the SOUPS and the peanut sauce is AWESOME! Super healthy! *The prices are a bit high for my taste ($50-$60 for two people (lunch) - granted we ordered drinks (non alcoholic) I would definitely recommend this place as a healthy place to eat!!

I was so thrilled to read that A Taste of Thailand has relocated to a little strip mall on the corner of South Broadway and Evans. They have always been my favorite Thai in Denver but their old location across from Swedish was cramped, kind of dingy and the parking was really a pain. Now, they're in new clean, airy space with plenty of parking and I am one happy boy. They've only been open in the new location since last week and I was determined to visit ASAP so off we went for lunch today and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. I've tried many, many Thai places and no place else is even in the same league. I mean, how many places grow their own herbs and greens?? We ordered too much food because we've been TOT deprived for way too long. They bring you some crunchy carrots and a little dish of their flawless peanut sauce to get you going. Started with the appetizer sampler that includes chicken satay, perfectly crisp little spring rolls and some tender little dumplings - all delicious) - $13.95 Could easily be lunch for two. We forged ahead with a truly beautiful mango and shrimp salad served over their homegrown herbs and greens (a special today) - $15.95. Lovely on a hot afternoon. Shrimp perfectly tender with ample fresh mango in a slightly spicy dressing. Served with sticky rice which I just don't get - hate it. I'd have that again any day and tell them to skip the sticky rice. For balance we shared the Kow Pad Kra Prow with shrimp ($8.95). This is a typical Thai street dish in a spicy mix of fried rice with eggs, basil, garlic, onion, chilies, broccoli, carrots and cabbage. Pretty spicy like most Thai street food so you've been warned. Way too much food - and $42+ tip - we won't get so carried away next time because more than half went home but we definitely got our Thai fix. Service was warm and prompt. Noy was there to greet us and it was great to see her and our waiter was really on top of things. Overall, a perfect Thai lunch and I'm sure we'll be back often. If you've never been to TOT I strongly urge you to give them a try - no place else comes close IMO.

We have tried the new location twice now. Found the food great as always. The service staff seems new and rather confused about the menu. But...we now have parking! And the owners remain the same with very tasty Thai food coming out of the kitchen. Coconut ice cream with bananas is great. I asked for it at lunch but the server had no idea whether it was available at lunch. He said he would find out, but I never heard back. At an evening meal we tried it and loved it. Curry sauce is memorable, shrimp basil was really good, although the order for giant shrimp seemed reduced to medium sized shrimp. Squid appetizer was very spicy and delicious once our waitress was able to place the order. Great food. I sense some pain for the owners in the move, but that does not mean you should avoid this place, which is arguably the best Thai restaurant in Denver.

Taste of Thailand has grown on me over the years. The owners have a fondness for fresh vegetables and herbs that I have not encountered at any other Thai restaurant in town. This culminates in crispy veggies and fresh flavors in all of their dishes. The lunch specials, though fixed in terms of the day's menu, are a good deal, offering soup, carrots with peanut sauce, a curry, and noodles. My favorites here are the Tom kha soup (especially on a cold winter day or when sick), the pad kee Mao, and pad see ew. This is one of my two favorite places on the Denver metro to get Tom kha. They also have lots of seasonal specials. They take great care in thoughtfully wrapping up takeout orders that they don't spill. The former location was cozy with pink walls; I'm excited to try the new location.

Loved this little place. Attractive, good service and excellent fresh-tasting food. I had Lemongrass Tofu and my husband had Cashew Chicken. The only thing is I expected a bit more spiciness. Mine said 1* out of 0-3* for spice, and I'd put mine at 0. Next time I'd ask for 2*.

Hooray for parking lots and awesome food! I came here for lunch last Saturday. Naturally I would say look at the pics but I finished my food even before I could think about taking a picture of it. They have a standard level of spiciness for their drunken noodles which was spot on! At first glance, the portions look small but go ahead and start eating. You will fill up fast. For $13 and some change, I got drunken noodles with beef and a soup. The soup was a bit overpriced but so good! Excited to come back here down the road. I will be more than happy to drive the distance for yummy Thai food. Service is quick and friendly. The restaurant is nice and cozy. Feels like home. They always have daily specials and the kitchen is always moving. A wonderful place to bring a date or even a group of friends!

My friend suggested this place as a spur of the moment decision as we were driving by. The sign is really small and it's in an area where you wouldn't really picture a sit down restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff is so nice. The man behind the desk obviously knows most of his customers that walk in, the wait staff was patient and nice and engaged in great conversation. The food was incredible, really good portions and cute serving containers. The Yellow Curry was one of the best I've had (and I have had A LOT of yellow curry) and to top it off it's really inexpensive! I would love to see this place survive! It's a great great spot for Thai food! And it's the only one I've found in the area that's worth mentioning!

This place is the real deal!! Authentic Thai chefs, who understand the nuance of spice, rather than just smothering everything in some version of a sweet/spicy soy sauce (like so many Asian-American restaurants do). We've been several times to their new location and have not been disappointed. I'm vegetarian, and the chefs are able to accommodate me every time (including keeping the fish oil out!). We just love how each dish we've tried does something new and different with the spices and flavors. Even the non-spicy dishes have a complex level of flavors that always manage to intrigue and delight! The service is good - there when we need them, but never in our way when we're trying to hold a conversation. And the owner strolls around checking in on everyone, talking about the latest veggies sprouting up from the garden. Just the perfect addition to our neighborhood!!

Wow doesn't begin to describe how amazing the dishes are here. The personal touches like how they greet everyone, and seemingly know most everyone's name shows what care they also put into their food! Hand picked herbs from their garden, and some of the brightest, crisp flavors that I have ever had. Tom Yum Gai is by far the best I have tasted!

Just went to the new location of Taste of Thailand - same excellent food and good prices, a larger and nicer decor. For a casual meal out, you won't go wrong!

Totally disappointed. The meat portion of any dish is miniscule. My 20 month old son who doesn't eat much vegetables didn't even have enough meat from his plate...we gave him all the meat in the dish and he's was still starving! The flavors are good but they are so stingy regarding their protein, it's ridiculous for the cost.

Stumbled onto this place today. Flavors were great but $13 for Thai curry chicken that had maybe 1 oz of chicken is a joke. Plenty of veggies and lots of sauce but I picked out 5 pieces of itty-bitty very thinly sliced chicken. I ordered thai curry chocke. Not Thai curry veggie only! Won't be back unless that changes!

As previous reviews have mentioned, this is probably the best Thai food in the Denver area. Have had take out at least 3 times while working at the hospital across from their previous location, and have not been disappointed! Keep it up!

Outstanding food and service. The owner of the restaurant makes sure everyone is taken care of he brought a plate of carrots to the child at our table while we waited for our food. The food is really really good but service makes it even better. Prices are reasonable considering the quality. We will be back. Thank you.

I drove half an hour to go here because I love authentic thai. We ordered to go the satay, tiger cry, green curry, flu shot soup, and the street thai fried rice. The soup like everyone said on reviews was really good. The satay was just alright for us, but curry and tiger cry were just so fresh. I would buy the sauce that goes with the tiger cry by the BOTTLE. Definitely give this place a try, seafood options are a tinge pricey but worth it. I felt like a kid who's mom intelligently made a meal to force me to eat all my veggies. We Will be back.

This place is simply superior to the other thai restaurants in Denver. Better, fresher, more variety, more creativity, more personality. The flu shot soup is one of a kind, fresh, spicy, packed with dumplings and veggies. The basic items like egg rolls are also superior and are served with creative homemade sauces. Try the spicy ginger shrimp and the royal pad kow.

The food was okay, not a great value. Every dish regardless of it's contents is $15. Was skimp on the shrimp. Soup was delicious. Maybe take out is better? Was pretty optimistic given the yelp reviews but wouldn't go back.

This place has the best Tom Kha Gai I've ever had, hands down. And from October - March, the flu shot soup is also fantastic.

We ordered take out from here a couple of Saturdays ago. The gentleman who took my order on the phone and assisted me when I came in was very nice and I was very excited to try the food. Sadly, it was some of the most disappointing Thai Food I have ever had. Everything was oily, there were pools of oil under our noodles and rice and the bag holding our spring rolls was almost transparent by the time I got home. This place seems to be very popular, it gets good reviews on here and was packed when I came to get our order, however we will not be back.

When you have a desire for Thai food there is nothing that can substitute. At all. So to have some good Thai places in your back pocket is great. Taste of Thailand is a great example of a good place that you should have in your rotation. I eat a lot of thai, and as it goes they are good, but not fantastic. had a few dishes here and they always seem to burn a bit more than taste. Granted, I LOVE spicy so I am ok with that, but by and large thai spice is known for combining the burn and flavor perfectly. They come close, but not quite. The best part is honestly the cost. Always have to do a cost/tastiness breakdown. For what you pay here you get really good thai. They have several great Thai street food options that I like. My friend and I leave here for lunch with two dishes and an app for around $20. Not too bad for decent Thai food. Would encourage you to check it out.

Had anyone noticed they actually grow many of their own ingredients and vegetables? This explains why the food comes out so fresh! Perhaps calling some select choices of the food there healthy is a stretch, but I never feel tired for 2 - hours like I do after attempting to eat fast food. They also have many healthy dishes and vegetarian options alike. I usually stick to the stir-fried and noodle dishes, but my favorite without a doubt are the Thai-street selections. One tip of advice would be if you seem to have an off dish, make sure to give another a try before discounting it as this could prove something you could regret... anyone should at least try a place a few times before giving it a definitive rating anyhow. Plus, the Shy thai lady who usually gives me my take out is so cute, and we have awkward shy off's together. What else do you need anyway?

Taste of Thailand is a great find! Not only is the service friendly, the food is AMAZING! The steamed dumplings are the best I have ever had! Plus, their coconut soup and Pad Thai are to die for!!!

Tried the Salmon Yum, wasn't so yum. The flavor was a little too much on the sweet side, but the worst part was the salmon was as dry and chewy as jerky. I literally could not cut through it with a fork. I had to eat around it and only did so because I was so hungry. When I pointed this out, they ended up give me a whopping 10% off of the $15 dish which they calculated out to a $1. The egg roll appetizer was decent and the wait staff was extremely nice, there's just better Thai food options in Denver for me to ever want to go back here. I'm a walk away from Taste of Thailand, but won't be returning.

I've spent some time in Thailand, and one of my favorite things was the street vendors' pad Thai. I've yet to find it as good here in the states until Taste of Thailand! Truly authentic, excellent food.

Interesting spot, right across from a hospital, small and somewhat funky (in a good way) inside. Definitely fresh and local, many of the items come from the chef/owner's own garden. This makes me happy. One dish we got had Colorado peaches, bit of heat, it was pretty good. Other dish was an assortment of fresh veg with tofu. Tofu was too thick but the sauce on this dish was tasty. All the food we tried tasted and felt very healthy, left this place pretty happy. Cons were nasty tasting water (why restaurants don't invest in filtration systems is beyond me, they aren't expensive or hard to install/maintain) and it overall value - dishes were ~$15 w/ brown rice for smallish portions. Would come back here but won't hurry back.

Best Thai food in all of Denver. Try the appetizer sampler - especially the Chicken Satay!!! They even have a fresh herb garden growing outside - and they even encourage diners to take some fresh herbs with them! 10/10

FLU SHOT SOUP. Gaaaaah it's amazing. Green curry to die for. Service is so friendly. Place is warm and enjoyable. I'm a frequent visitor and will continue to go as long as they will have me!! Nothing ever bad about this place.

If the staff was as good as the food this would be a five star review. That said...I love the food! Boy do I love the food. Home grown vegetables, great noodles and a fine menu.

This place is catty-corner across from Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, you can literally walk out the main door (of a building there, anyways) and be there in 2 minutes. Lunch specials, cozy, soft background music, coral painted.walls with umbrellas hanging from ceiling, various pics and Thai artistry hanging from walls. Was truly torn between the Yum Nua Beef Salad, and the 2 Monday lunch specials, chicken green curry and the chicken pad Thai. The specials come with veggie soup and carrot drizzled in peanut sauce. There are no app substitutions, and.the curry cannot be made *less* spicy - there is a warning about that on the menu. That being said, I was told the default spiciness level for the curry is mild-medium. It CAN be made spicier. The server is very soft-spoken and was happy to answer various questions. If you want the lunch special, do not ask for the 2 lunch items in the special separately, like "green curry chicken" and "chicken pad Thai" -- they consider those separate from the lunch special, which contains smaller portions of *both* items (victory!!) The vegetable soup is Thai, not "American" - doesn't have that standard base American veg. Soup does, and is wonderful on a cold rainy day. The carrots are crisp and raw and sliced, not cooked, and make for a nice app. Special comes with a half-a-large orange sized sphere of steamed.rice, and an equivalent sized scoop of pad.Thai, and a soup bowl filled.with meat and curry ingredients...all was served very quickly. By 1215 people were flocking in.here ...about half full by 1230, and about 3/4 full by 1245pm, presumably on any given weekday. Extra spice is available upon request. Brown.rice is available, but it comes in a cup as a side and costs 1.50. There are a variety of beverages available here, from tea and commercial products, juices, coconut juice and house wines and beers. I thought the portion sizes were a lit-tle small for the $9 charge, but not terribly so. And they tasted pretty good -- but not *really* good or blow you away good. Was hoping for that 4-star average to be accurate, but...nnnnnnnnot so much. *shrug*

Having sampled a few of the better Thai restaurants in town, I decided to try this quaint spot. Found the food to be the best I've had to date. Fresh ingredients grown on site. I had the combo Pad Thai. Only drawback is the seating area is very cramped and place was very busy late evening. Signs of a great restaurant in my book.

Still my favorite Thai Restaurant in Denver, cozy, friendly and delicious! I visited Taste of Thailand for early dinner on Saturday, and they did not disappoint. Forgive me for not recalling the dish names, I'll do my best to describe: We started with an appetizer consisting small dishes of dried shrimp, roasted peanuts, fresh ginger, green pepper, red onions, and other items. There was a sublime, sweet sauce with peanuts as well. The plan was to fill the ingredients into a lettuce leaf, add the sauce, then enjoy. It was a delicious sticky mess! I'm so glad my dining companion had towelettes with her. Our main dishes were their fried rice and rice noodle mainstays, KOW PAD KRA PROW and PAD KEE MAO. These are typical street food fare, spicy, yet complex flavors. We did one with chicken, and the other with beef. They were bold and tasty! I am glad Taste of Thailand remains on my goto list for sublime Thai fare.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place sooner... have dined there 10 times or more, super service, Cool owners, Fantastic Soups, GOTTA TRY the Coconut Milk soup or the Flu Soup...yes flu soup.. The menu does not disappoint... Currys are excellent and pads are varied. Does not ever disappoint, AND DON'T MIND THE PINK WALLS... IT'S ALL PART OF THE EXPERIENCE!

Being from where I'm originally from, it reminds me some what like home, I love the service provided by the owner and his wife. Location: Smacked in front of the Swedish Medical Center. The place is tiny. Thankfully on both days we were there, we called in advance for reservation for seatings. Food ~ I LOVE the Crisp Fish of the Day that comes with 3 kinds of cooking method you want them to prepare for it. We shared the chicken satay, while hubby had his beef entree. I have shrimp soup and shrimp entree too. Hubby LOVES it too coz it reminds him the food while in Singapore! Cant wait to return again with family and friends when they come to town. On both days since there are so many things to eat, I have them "doggy-bag" the rest of the plenty food. Awesome place to eat THAI, do go there and tell me, what you think. Please do call in advance first especially in the evenings to reserve your seats.

Yummy, Yummy, Authentic Thai Food, Batman! Since I left Englewood, I must admit, I miss this place. It is definitely worth a special trip back. Their food is fantastic! You never leave hungry, and it is always reasonably priced. They have lots of great vegetarian options, if you decide to swing that way. The ingredients are fresh and always scrumptious. Nothing is ever even remotely greasy. Even the non-vegetarian options are vegetable rich, so you can eat as much as you want and never feel any pangs of food guilt. :) I haven't had a chance to taste the Flu Shot soup yet. They serve it seasonally, and the season is nearly upon us. Definitely going to check that out. If you decide to go, be sure to check their hours first. They usually close between lunch and dinner.

I was in the mood for pho but thought I'd check out the "famous" flu shot soup at ToT instead. Sorry to be a party pooper, but this was easily the most disappointing meal I've had in ages. While the broth was scalding hot and was chock full of carrots, celery, bok choy and half a dozen wontons, there was pretty much no flavor at all. I was expecting a taste explosion of lemon grass, garlic and ginger but there was nothing except a hint of cilantro and the mild mouth-burn of chilis. The wontons, admittedly, were quite delicious, and the veggies were super fresh but for the price ($9), a way more satisfying and filling soup-type meal could be had at any of the pho joints in town. Maybe it was just an off day, but my advice to anyone trying it for the first time would be to order the small, appetizer-size bowl. Decor- and ambiance-wise it's nothing fancy, but there was a lady playing a kheem (sp?) which was pretty nice. Service was attentive, and the staff were super friendly.

We ate here for the first time last week and were pretty impressed. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at - pretty divey and small. But the food was excellent. We had dumpling appetizers, beef clay pot, and their special - stir-fry featuring western slope peaches. I was expecting a curry soup-style clay pot, but it was nothing like that - it was beef on a base of rice noodles. Very flavorful. The peach dish (which I assume won't be around much longer) was excellent. Lots of veggies in the dishes, which we liked. I'll admit that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Asian food (Indian, Thai, Chinese, sushi), and I've found that you have to search a little harder to find good ethnic food in Colorado. But I would definitely come here again.

So good. It's a little tiny gem tucked away near Swedish hospital. Everything is always flavorful and the veggies taste fresh. I'm so glad this is so close to our house!

Since this place is sort of in my neighborhood and there were plenty of stellar reviews, the bf and I decided to give this place a shot and ordered some food to go. We started off with some Thai spring rolls. They were alright; I've had better. They seemed to be a little chewy rather than crunchy. We also ordered a small serving of the Tom Yum Gai soup. It was alright too. To me, it tasted as if there was a little too much ginger or lime juice in it. Something about the flavors seemed off, however the bf loved it! We both ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. It was good, the flavors were strong and the spice was strong. (Which I like, this dish had 2 stars for spiciness, and I don't think I want to try a 3 starred dish!) However, ultimately I was disappointed with my dish because I was expecting more veggies in the noodles but sadly there was not. It was a dish of noodles, chicken, and a lot of bean sprouts. Since there are so many good reviews on this place, I will give them a 2nd chance. Here's to hoping that my experience was just an off night for TOT. On a side-note, when I picked up our order, the dining room did appear to be hopping.

I came here after reading reviews on Yelp saying "This is the best Thai place in Denver", and other things such as "OMG SO GOOD". If this is actually the best Thai place in Denver, I'll be disappointed. My forte of food is definitely Asian, and having eaten Thai all my life and having my uncle and his family actually live in Thailand, I would hope I know what I'm talking about, but hey you can be the judge of that. I walked in with two close friends on a Saturday night, and ordered multiple dishes such as: The Golf Of Thailand, Panang Curry, Chicken Satay, and some fried rice. Everything was just okay in my opinion. I thought the Panang was a tad underspiced, the portion of the fried rice was bit small for the price, and the Golf Of Thailand and the Chicken Satay were fine, but definitely nothing spectacular. If it's close to you and you are hankering for some Thai, by all means go here, but I definitely don't think it's anything to run home about.

First, read all my reviews bitching about Thai food in Colorado. Then know that, seriously, I almost burst into tears at Taste of Thailand. The people were SO friendly, homey little bright art-filled place and a picture of the King over my table. THE BEEF SALAD. It just exploded with flavor ... all the herbs were freshly picked. Perfect amount of spice (a lot, but not painful, and balanced exactly with sweet and sour). Sticky rice in a little basket just like Bangkok. Our server was also from there, and she and I swapped neighborhood stories. BF had the chicken massaman, which he loved. (I'd have ordered mine a little hotter, but it was perfect for him.) I had a cold coconut juice and he enjoyed his Thai iced tea. Price was very reasonable. We got there early for lunch, it was filling up fast. We'll be back VERY SOON for dinner. Khap khun khaaaaa, TOT. Thanks for being there.

My favorite Thai Restaurant in the Denver Metro area. Excellent food and great service. Not a big place, nor what I would call fancy, but consistantly good food for a reasonable price. I must also admit that since it was the first place I took my now fiance` it also holds some nice memories as well. There are other Thai places in Denver and some are good, but for overall value for your dollar, Taste of Thailand is the best :)

Read the reviews and also wanted to give it whirl since it's my neighborhood. Great service and food was alright. Started off with the spring rolls and agreed with one reviewer where it was chewy rather than crunchy. I had the pineapple fried rice thing and it was really good. I'd totally order it again, and he had one of the noodle specials, can't really remember. Both agreed that my dish was the better choice. Good beer selection, partial to pale ales.. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Would definitely try it again.

Very fresh ingredients, delicious food. Head to this place maybe during off hours cause it gets quite busy. But the food is super yummy - very fresh ingredients, some even from the owner's own garden. Very very good. Kind of a strange entrance - they're taking up precious room with an odd little shop of sorts. I personally wish they would rip that out and add a few more tables.

Spent Thai Tuesday at ToT this week -- this makes about 25 visits there. Consistently good. I had the wonderful Nam Sod (I always order it there) -- lots of ginger, etc. and served with the traditional little basket of sticky rice. I also had a cup of the famous Flu Shot soup -- warm, tasty, and always welcome on a cold day. Several friends had clay pots (seafood, veggie, and beef) - they all raved. The SingHa is cold, and the service is adequate, if not extremely prompt. The place is a hole in the wall, which is fine by me. Back when we lived in Bonnie Brae, we went to ToT more often. Wish I still lived a short drive away.

How great is this place? SO great that the three of us that went there for dinner are now considering ways to either get hired at the National jewish Hospital across the street, or breaking our leases and moving in next door. Nearest to my heart- they had a special on the menu that was Thai + NM Green Chile! Everything we ordered was perfectly spicy, not too hot, not too tame, and despite the fact that we absolutely gorged ourselves, there were still leftovers to take home.

This restaurant is beyond legendary in my family! The stars given are for the food because as many have stated before the ambiance is non-existent. I live in Miami but my brother (who just came back from visiting Thailand and said ToT is better than anything he had over there...hah!) lives in Denver with his wife. Whenever we come out to visit, a meal at Taste of Thailand is a requirement. This is the only restaurant that I can positively stuff myself and walk out feeling great. The food is incredibly fresh. They use healthy pesticide free herbs and vegetables grown in their very own garden. All Thai food comparisons are based upon this restaurant in my family so it has to be good. Some favourites are their whole crispy fish with lime, chili, garlic, and fresh herbs (off of the specials); sizzling seafood; shrimp noodle hotpot, curries, and pad woonsen. Even something as simple as carrots with spicy peanut dipping sauce is amazing there. I haven't tried it myself but my brother and sister-in-law rant and rave over the Flu Shot soup. They also do a great mango with sticky rice. If you feel like taking home more from Thailand then a full belly they also have an adorable gift shop filled with interesting bits and pieces. I'm hungry just thinking about it all and am counting down my days till I'm next in Denver. I'm tempted to fly out just to eat there again!

I've never had a bad dish here and the staff are super friendly. I love that they grow their own herbs in the back. If they still have it (it seemed seasonal), try the coconut curry (had large shaved chunks of coconut meat in it). I don't live down in this area anymore, and I miss this place, especially being able to take home some REAL mango stickey rice!

This was a great "hole in the wall" Thai place! I tried green curry for the first time and it was fabulous! I definitely recommend going here if you like Thai or you find yourself at Swedish hospital hungry!

Way overrated. Expensive and very miserly with the size and amount of seafood. The waitresses also come by your table incessantly asking if you would like more water. I didn't want more water 30 seconds ago and the answer is still the same. There are much better alternatives out there.

I was REALLY excited to try this place, based on their recent Westword write-up, and the fact that a lot of their ingredients are grown in the owner's garden and they pen themselves as offering healthy Thai food. They are also famous for their "Flu-Shot Soup," which according the menu is: "A spicy chicken wonton soup with healthy doses of garlic, ginger, chili peppers, celery, carrots, leafy greens, cilantro and herbs." I have to say that this place only got the three star rating based on the fact that this soup did not disappoint in any way - it was DELICIOUS, though it was definitely on the oily side. If it weren't for the soup, I would have only given Taste of Thailand two stars. The other dish we ordered was a special - it was a red curry with butternut squash and other seasonal vegetables. Sounds delicious, right? Yeah, I thought so too. And, it's not that the taste was bad (the flavor was actually pretty good), it's just that it was SO incredibly over the top oily that I had no desire to eat more than a few bites. I'm not exaggerating here - all you could see in the sauce was oil. That might not offend some people, but in my book it's no bueno. Any place that drowns their food in that much oil (it's not good oil, either - just plain ol' vegetable oil. . .I asked) is not going to be on my list of places to frequent. ESPECIALLY considering that they call their menu offerings healthy.

While the name is chintsy and the outside looks sketchy, this little hole in the wall is definitely the best Thai I have tasted in Denver. It seems that most people I tell about this retaurant have never heard of it, so it retains its quaint authenticity. But perhaps this post may change that, oops... I digress. The owner seems to take personal pride in his menu. Heck, he grows many of the herbs in his own backyard, apparently. While the menu selections are not uncommon probably in Thailand, you definitely won't find many of them in other Denver Thai restaurants. Eggplant choochee, kow tom, plar goong (at some point, this stuff starts to sound ridiculous!). The soups are highly recommended -- the tom kha gai was some of the most flavorful Thai-spirited soup I've had. Curries were on par but not particularly stellar. All-around, a great restaurant if you're looking for something new.

Thai can be a mine field for vegetarians. Taste Of Thailand is not. I was able to ask that my dish be prepared all veg (they even asked about the egg, a rare thing in Colorado). I had a very spicy peanut sauce on teh table in lieu of fish sauce, and I detected no critter in my food. Like Silly Ack, I have a digestive warning. Vinegar with sugar and chilies will do for a thin sauce, btw. The flu shot soup with tofu is a must-have in the winter. Friendly service, water keeps coming. 20 percent tip worthy. Yes, the flavors differ from visit to visit, like real cooking does. Want it all the same? Hit PF Chang's. Want really good food made fresh? Taste of Thailand is your destination.

Wow. This is as good as it gets. I am not a die hard fan of Thai food, but they do it right at this place. Its a hole in the wall type of place with an authentic ambiance from within. I came here when I was feeling quite sick and in need of a hearty and healthy meal. I ordered their special Flu Shot Soup followed by the Spicy Squid(?) dish, and I kid you not.. my throat ache was gone the next morning (most likely burned away by all the delicious spices in both courses)...... Thank you Taste of Thailand

First experience at TOT and I ordered to go. I always start of with Pad Thai at any Thai place to kind of judge the basics. The Pad Thai was interesting and more spicy, garlicky, and tart in flavor than what you'd typically find at a Thai place. It was certainly a nice surprise to other pad thai's that i have had. I did notice that the tofu was super firm, I didn't particularly care for it. The spring rolls were pretty good but seemed a little old. I was impressed with the staff. They offered really tasty complimentary ginger tea to drink while I waited for my order. They were super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in conversing with me (who does that anymore? what a nice treat). There were some really fun random items for sale at the counter, including a pair of Thai Boxing shorts. The staff really won me over for this restaurant and although i prefer pad thai a little more sweet, i will at least know where i can get an alternative to the usual. P.S. Huge food portion, and again, i highly recommend the ginger tea (it has a kick to it!).

A great Thai place with their own garden. Fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. I pretty much only get their Flu Shot Soup when starting to feel a cold coming on (now that I've discovered Pho, it will be different this year). None-the-less it's really good and you can get it super-duper spicy. Its seasonal only available during the fall and winter seasons. Their other food is flavorful and delicious, especially the curry dishes! We've never eaten there, only get stuff to go, but the atmosphere looks really cool and traditional. A great place to check out some Thai food if you're in the area.

This is a little gem hidden close to the DU area. The food is really good and very close to authentic Thai food. I usually go there to order the whole fish which is absolutely delicious! Just thinking about it makes me hungry. My mum is Thai and when she visited Denver, I took her there for dinner and she "sanctioned" it as acceptable Thai food (which she hardly ever does, even in Thailand...). The staff has always been friendly and everything I ordered so far has been great. So I definitely would recommend this place!

Great find. Had the standard Pad Thai. Will return.

Incredible tom yum soup, but the pad thai was bland and had maybe three pieces of chicken, each as big as a nickel.

After moving around Denver and Englewood I am so happy to have discovered Taste of Thailand! I've been with my 8 year old daughter multiple times and they always nail it! We absolutely love the Pad See-Ew, Masaman Curry, and Kow Tom soup. My daughter is absolutely convinced that at the slightest sniffle we must immediately order the Flu Shot Soup. Three times so far this week! Anyway, I can't give this place enough praise. We have had easily half the menu and not a single complaint yet!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Denver/Boulder area because of their attention to detail and fabulous food. They use the freshest possible ingredients - the veggies and herbs in their dishes come from the owners' own garden. Each sauce has a range of flavors that fit the dishes just right. The dishes with basil and chile are some of the best of their kind that I've ever had - these aren't one-note generic experiences. A mix of heat and sweet herb, with a hint of the savory base, this dish is wonderful with tofu. Taste of Thailand also has the best Tom Ka soup. I get it with tofu, but I'm sure it's equally good with chicken. Again, they combine flavors for this dish in ways that are truly inspired. The spring rolls come with a delicious sauce that raises their desirability significantly. Round out your meal with a 90 Shilling beer and you've got a great taste experience. Rick - one of the owners, the other is his wife, who's from Thailand - has to be the nicest guys to ever own a restaurant and he's virtually always there. He'll remember your name if you come more than a few times. I recommend going early on a weeknight or for lunch - sometimes the quality falls off on weekends.

Our visit to Taste of Thailand was prompted both by a big-time Thai food hankerin' and an advertisement they placed in Westword which said they have gluten free options. It's hell being a celiac when you absolutely LIVE for dining out. Even worse, when I was diagnosed, I ran my own cafe in San Francisco and suddenly discovered all the tasty pastries and sandwiches I was serving were slowly killing me. I couldn't even eat in my own restaurant! Upon moving to Denver I discover there's an awareness of celiac disease and gluten free cooking here unheard of (or at least as of yet largely undiscovered) in the Bay Area. Restaurants frequently mention gluten free options in their advertisements. Even some places that don't advertise it often have a gluten free menu available to those who ask for it. At Taste of Thailand, our waitress seemed somewhat bewildered at first about my request for gluten-free options, but after asking someone in the kitchen about it, she produced an official gluten-free menu. It had many options. Many came with rice instead of noodles. The menu warned that rice noodles may have wheat as a minor ingredient and not to order them if you are a celiac. Our dinners were very tasty at Taste, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy. I felt great afterward, experiencing none of the irritatingly familiar symptoms of my gluten allergy (sort of my own personal test of a gluten-free menu - which may seem kind of like the digestive version of Russian roulette - but like I told you already, I LIVE for dining out...so there), and can recommend Taste of Thailand to celiacs and glutenous gluttons alike. - Silly Ack

This place is seriously as good as it gets. I grew up in Bangkok, and this place is the real deal. It's hard to get Thai food in Denver that isn't Asian fusion or Americanized. This place is not only completely authentic, but it's even better than your average restaurant in Thailand. It is seriously some of the best Thai food I have ever had. It's a family-run business, and they are so friendly and helpful. In fact, my wife and I just had the rehearsal dinner of our wedding there. They were so generous, even gave us cards and hugs as we left. We will keep going back as often as we can while we live in Denver. They also use fresh herbs and vegetables from their garden and sell authentic Thai souvenirs. It has a great cozy atmosphere and is perfect for a simple night out of delicious food.

This is probably one of the best Thai food places in Denver. Owned by Rick and his wife, the restaurant has a small Thai storefront as you enter. Their Tom Yum Goong is really good - although the two times I was here, it was a little different each time, it was still darn good. They have the right blend of spice and lemongrass to give your taste buds the kick-start before the meal. For the entree, they have a fantastic Kow Pad Kra Prow, a street fried-rice as they put it. The fried rice is packed with flavor, and the addition of the jumbo prawns was just great. My friend got the mango-chili shrimp, which was really tasty too. The pad thai was a little disappointing, but the other stuff was great. Again, after a long journey of finding a decent Thai place in Denver, this was it. Not the best, but good enough for now.

This'll be brief . . . I have great memories of this place, and visited yesterday for the first time in probably 8 years. While boring, my standard is pad thai, and I was so unimpressed I threw out 2/3 of it: greasy, 95% noodles, very sweet and not nearly enough kick. 2 stars for good memories, terrific service and amazing ginger tea while I waited for my takeout.

Not bad, but nothing to stand out. Short wait time for food. Great proximity to the hospital.

as of yet.. this is as good as it gets in Denver.. in my experience thus far... family owned joint.. NO FRILLS.. def. closed in the afternoons and either mon or sun or tues.. something like that.. The papaya salad is bomb.. spicy.. and well "marinated"....the papaya salad is usually how I judge my spots... also.. their tom yum soup with shrimp was delish. my roomie loved the tom ka coconut soup.... they dont use MSG and that is a biiiiiig plus.. they also grow their own herbs when possible.. im a simple eater.. however.. im a fan..

Went there today after reading the reviews and needing to be on that side of town. Place smells good when you walk in and had a good vibe. I had called in an order for the "flu shot" soup. Wasn't quite sure what to expect. When I got back to the office and opened it up, it fit the description on the menu for the most part. After trying it, I would have to say that I expected a slighly more spicy/flavorful soup that it was, but it was full of veggies and what looked to be handmade chicken wontons. It was pretty good but I am not sure that I would order it again. I will go back and try a lunch special to see how that goes, for now I would recommend to at least try this place and see if you like it.

So after going to the wrong door to get into the place, I finally entered. I ordered to go, cause if I am going to eat alone, I like to be on the couch in my under ware. As I am waiting, it was offered some Jasmine tea and I am not a tea drinker, but this was delish. Pad tai and a small cup of flu shot tea is enough for 2 people. Very fresh herbs made this dish tasty. No complaints. And love that it is walking distance from my house. Nice job TOT.

Go eat here!! it is a gem. I love thai food and I eat it all the time -- and of all the Thai restaurants in Denver, LA, New York, where I've eaten, this was the best all-around dining experience I've had. This was because 1) my meal was unbelievably good and 2) all of my dining-mates loved what they ordered just as much as I loved mine. That is a big deal because my father is not a big fan of Thai food - but this time he raved about it, ate everything, and swore he will come back soon, even though it's a drive from where he lives. The freshness of all of the vegetables and the fact that they are cooked delicately really makes the food here a cut above. you can taste each vegetable and the layers of spices are complex and deep. I had a specialty made with Colorado peaches and Hatch green chile - it was out of this world. My dad had a special that was a barbeque dish that he loved. my boyfriend had drunken noodles - a dish he *always* orders - and he said that this was, by far, the best version of it he has ever had. I won't go to any other Thai restaurants in Denver anymore - this place puts the others to shame.

I think I found my new go-to Thai restaurant...and I wasn't even looking for a new one! My rating is solely based off of the food as the ambiance does leave something to be desired, but the service was good. I could taste the freshness in the ingrediants in my meal, which is the main reason why this is my new favorite. I'm a big curry fan and sampled their pineapple curry, which was, by far, the best I've ever had. This was the first time I've had it and the pineapple wasn't from a can. It's actually kind of sad that I never noticed this before but once tasting it at Taste of Thailand, I immediately noticed and will no longer settle for anything less!

We went here again recently and I had the salmon dish (again). I'm sticking with 4 stars because this sauce is really sublime, but dammit they overcooked the salmon (really- another again?). This is totally on me this time because I should have known enough to ask for it med-rare. I suggest other diners do that and will remember to be clear next time (again-and there will be a next time) about how I prefer to have my fish cooked.

Best Thai Coconut Soup I've had. So good. Light, extremely flavorful, and perfect with the rice it comes with. The fried rice is also a must have!

Very good food, with a friendly staff. I've been there four times and each time the owner has come out to check to make sure you are enjoying everything. The "drunken noodles" are delicious and my favorite, but I've tried a few other things and have never been disappointed. Also, they are big on growing their own veggies and herbs.

I ordered a stir fry dish wish combination of shrimp and chicken. This came with 4 quarter sized shrimp, very overcooked, and definitely overcooked chicken. The sauce was watery, and the only good part was the fresh veggies. No one stopped by to ask me how it was, and I barely got water refilled. When I spoke to the owner afterward, he said "well, thats the size of our shrimp and thats how many come on the combination". Thanks, I wont be going back.

A small restaurant with Great Food. Yesterday was my first time there and I had the Green Curry lunch special and a bowl of the famous Flu Shot soup - everything was perfectly spiced and had tons of flavor. There was only one lady working the floor and the guys in the kitchen seem kind of bored - but we were there early and the lunch crowd was just starting to come in. A hole in the wall place that absolutely has some of the best Thai in Denver. Needless to say, I will be back for more!

(5)Michael H.
(4)Lindsey M.
(4)Susan D.
(4)Alex L.
(4)Gabby L.
(5)michele b.
(5)Tristan B.
Stopped by for some quick take out. The food was good, but seemed pretty expensive for what I got.
(3)Mike M.
(5)Kevin M.
Just went to the new location of Taste of Thailand - same excellent food and good prices, a larger and nicer decor. For a casual meal out, you won't go wrong!
(4)Alice C.
(2)Melissa J.
(3)Desmond W.
As previous reviews have mentioned, this is probably the best Thai food in the Denver area. Have had take out at least 3 times while working at the hospital across from their previous location, and have not been disappointed! Keep it up!
(5)Agi D.
Outstanding food and service. The owner of the restaurant makes sure everyone is taken care of he brought a plate of carrots to the child at our table while we waited for our food. The food is really really good but service makes it even better. Prices are reasonable considering the quality. We will be back. Thank you.
(5)Renee S.
(4)Kelly F.
(5)AJ W.
The food was okay, not a great value. Every dish regardless of it's contents is $15. Was skimp on the shrimp. Soup was delicious. Maybe take out is better? Was pretty optimistic given the yelp reviews but wouldn't go back.
(2)Brian R.
This place has the best Tom Kha Gai I've ever had, hands down. And from October - March, the flu shot soup is also fantastic.
(5)Ivan S.
This place is great! Grabbed some take out and a beer. FYI they are moving to Evans and Broadway in April which is great because it will be at even closer on my way home.
(5)Stephanie H.
I always enjoy this place. The food is authentic and delicious. You can't beat the lunch specials for $8.95.
(5)Amanda T.
(2)Matthew C.
(3)Cory P.
(4)Andee M.
Taste of Thailand is a great find! Not only is the service friendly, the food is AMAZING! The steamed dumplings are the best I have ever had! Plus, their coconut soup and Pad Thai are to die for!!!
(5)Bethany T.
(2)Adam F.
I've spent some time in Thailand, and one of my favorite things was the street vendors' pad Thai. I've yet to find it as good here in the states until Taste of Thailand! Truly authentic, excellent food.
(5)Racheal C.
Noy's heart is HUGE. On the restaurant's DAY OFF they cooked and delivered a wonderful meal to my friend who recently lost his wife, and his 15 house guests. Fills my heart. Please share the love.
(5)Lucy L.
Food is just ok, not the best. It's not anywhere close to being " Authentic "

My favorite Thai place in the Denver area. Affordable, family owned and operated, no loud TVs or music, just great food at a great price. Authentic and accessible at the same time. Fills you up too.

(4)Melissa J.

(5)Matt G.
Can't beat Taste of Thailand in the Englewood/Littleton area. Great gluten free options and Phat si lo (pad see ew). Pad Thai is a little monotone for my liking, but still very good.
(4)Patrick C.
(5)Arlyn C.

Great sushi! Clean place and kind staff. Get the black dragon roll!
(5)Aurora N.
(5)Victoria S.
(5)Jenn H.
This was a great "hole in the wall" Thai place! I tried green curry for the first time and it was fabulous! I definitely recommend going here if you like Thai or you find yourself at Swedish hospital hungry!
(5)Thomas M.
Way overrated. Expensive and very miserly with the size and amount of seafood. The waitresses also come by your table incessantly asking if you would like more water. I didn't want more water 30 seconds ago and the answer is still the same. There are much better alternatives out there.
(1)Tara N.

(4)Peace Y.
(4)Mike M.
(5)Hollie W.
(3)Jason S.
(3)Mal O.
(5)Thomas G.
Great find. Had the standard Pad Thai. Will return.
(4)Mark S.
Incredible tom yum soup, but the pad thai was bland and had maybe three pieces of chicken, each as big as a nickel.
(4)Zach S.
(5)Chris L.

(5)Apurva P.
(4)Amy M.
(2)Logan M.
Not bad, but nothing to stand out. Short wait time for food. Great proximity to the hospital.
(3)annie r.
as of yet.. this is as good as it gets in Denver.. in my experience thus far... family owned joint.. NO FRILLS.. def. closed in the afternoons and either mon or sun or tues.. something like that..

(3)Jack p.

(5)Sarah R.
(5)Sasha S.
(4)Katrina L.
Best Thai Coconut Soup I've had. So good. Light, extremely flavorful, and perfect with the rice it comes with. The fried rice is also a must have!
(4)T M.
Thai food does not get any better then this...Rick and Noi use seasonal vegetables and herbs from their own garden and create a great dining experience. Highly recommend the flu shot soup.
