Best Thai food in Denver. And my husband and I have tried most of them. We used to live right around the block from Swing Thai, and we were always pleasantly surprised when we dropped in to find there wasn't a wait. In fact, most times we were one of two or three parties being served. If I want noodles, I go for the Pad Se Ew with shrimp. I love the egg, bok choi, and bean sprouts. Makes this dish stand out. My hubs is loyal to the Drunken Noodle with beef. He loves the stewed tomatoes. They don't skimp on the portions either. The curries are also super flavorful. And my personal appetizer fave: the crab cheese wontons. Nom nom nom. The staff is welcoming and attentive--always. I've never asked for a refill...it magically appears. They also deliver--and the delivery person is typically at least 15 minutes earlier than they quote on the phone. Forever yours, Swing Thai.

I want so badly to love this place - it's convenient, the ambience is nice, prices are good - the food is just not very good and the staff is not very friendly. I recently gave them another chance and placed a pick-up order and the woman on the phone was rude and acted annoyed by me asking what sauces they offer with their spring rolls. When I arrived to pick up the order, I grabbed two slices of limes (as they were sitting right next to the check-out) and she proceeded to lecture me about having to pay for those. For two slices of limes. With Thai Monkey only several blocks away, I won't be back here. Thai Monkey staff is friendly, the food is great, and they don't charge for limes.

Came here to have dinner with some friends: Service: -the servers were friendly and nice -attentive Ambience: -Contemporary with traditional Thai accents -parking was kind of tight Food: - the chicken in the pad Thai was really dry - the dumplings was good - the spring rolls was okay. Chicken was kind of dry

Just got the Pad Prik King -(Dark Curry) Green Beans, Carrots, and Bell Peppers stir fried in Red Curry Sauce at $11.50, AMAZING!!
(5)Veronica C.
Four stars for the food, no skimping on the veggies (abundant and fresh) and flavor. Prices are standard for Denver. Server doesn't smile but it could be because I come with a toddler and she sees floor sweeping in her future. Who cares, the food is fast and delicious. Toddler likes to sit in a regular chair so I can't inform about high chairs or boosters here. If I lived closer I'd go more often.

Love this place, they have the best Tom Kha soup!!!!
(5)Jenny C.
Small Thai restaurant. Great food. Superb quality. Would certainly return. Had the Pan Yang Curry and green papaya salad with tofu. Everything was cooked to perfection. Great service.
(5)Dave F.
Whenever we're ordering Thai, I always get the barbecue chicken with sweet chili sauce. It's a ton of food and super delicious when I cover the chicken and rice in the sauce. Last time I had to ask for double sauce because I like it so much.

Delicious food with its' own parking lot, and a great location to anything on that side of town, this is a great place for bringing small groups of friends. They offer a variety of gluten free and vegan dishes (all labled!), plus an option for different proteins and spice level for each dish. Additionally, as most things are made fresh to order, it is no problem getting your Massaman curry with no onions or extra sprouts on your drunken noodles. My fav: the Tom Kha (coconut/lemon grass) soup with tofu. Somewhere between mild and medium. The cup of this is waaaay too small for how delicious it is, but I've learned a secret. Add noodles for $2 and it basically triples the size of the broth portion AND adds yummy GF vegan rice noodles. In seasons, you should make sure to snatch up some mango sitcky rice for dessert. Yum!

So fast. Food is very good too, big portions and everyone is always very nice. I only use for pickup.

I really wanted to like this place but it fell way short of my expectations. The main ingredient in everything seems to be sugar. The soup and curries are pure diabetes. Even the peanut sauce for the spring roll was 90% sweet and 10% other ingredients like peanuts which is usually in peanut sauce. No balance of flavors. The vegetables were not fresh and not provided in abundance. I ordered a panang curry and asked for all vegetables. It had exactly 1 piece of broccoli, 1 green bean, 1 zucchini, and 10 pieces of undercooked bell pepper, but mostly just sauce. Very strange. From first glance the menu appears to have a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options, however after deeper inspection those options are limited to curry dishes. No noodles? No vegetarian fried rice? What's up with that??? On a very positive note the parking and pick up for my to-go-order was easy and lightning fast.

Not sure why they would have a rating below 5 stars. Awesome Pad Thai! Highly recommend!
(5)Lynda M.
Very tasty but super salty and sweet. Great service. Locally owned. Quality food for chain.
(3)Naomi C.
Refused to make drunkin noodles with rice instead of noodles even if I paid extra. Not sure why they would refuse more money by just exchanging one thing in the order. Don't make sense to me at all.
(2)Ashley K.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Denver! I love the Swing Special -- that sauce is to die for and no other Thai restaurant can come close to this delicious creation. The staff is always kind + quick. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Mile High City!
(5)Megan A.
None of the food was that tasty. We ended up throwing it all out. The calamari appetizer was chewy and fishy tasting, without any other noticeable flavors, so we threw it away. The pad thai was ok. It was extremely spicy, so that was great, but other than spiciness, there was no amazing flavor. It was fresh and it didn't make us sick afterwards, so that's why the restaurant gets 2 stars not 1. The chicken satay was not awful. The plain noodles were fine. The crab cheese wontons/rangoons were not tasty at all. They were gross, actually, so we definitely threw those away. The peanut sauce was very tasty and we liked it. The Thai tea was also great. On top of all that, the server who took our order seemed disgruntled and unhappy to be there. There was a huge jar for tips near the cash register for take-out orders, but the food was plenty expensive. No money extra or any need to leave tips. I would not return here.

We have driven by this restaurant so many times, and so many times I thought, "we need to try it," well, we did. Interior - clean, inviting, browns, yellows, and green. There are approximately 12 tables inside, and there is an outdoor eating area too. We would have sat outside, but it was so hot out there. We'll try it when the weather gets cooler. Service - good, not "in your face," quiet, and just good service. Parking - small private lot, and then on the street. Menu - good, enough choices. We asked for some recommendations, and the waitress asked us some questions first, and then made some recommendations - very nicely done. They have appetizers, salads, soups, curries, specialities, fried rice, side dishes, desserts, and more. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. It was good, I did enjoy it. My husband had the Panang with chicken. He also said it was good, a bit salty, but good. We also had the lemon grass soup. I had mine with tofu, and my husband had his with chicken. I really enjoyed the soup. Dine In and Carry/Take Out are available. They also have gift certificates. All in all, a good experience. We will go back to try other dishes, and also try to sit outside on the patio. Enjoy!

Recently, I had been craving a Thai beef salad. It's a perfect meal. Since it's a salad, it's pretty light. But because there is beef, it's pretty filling too. The last place I had this wonderful meal was at Swing Thai. So I went here the other day with pangs of anticipation. Only to not see the beef salad anywhere on the menu. According to the server, the salad wasn't a good seller so it was taken of the menu. Phoeey. Fortunately, Swing Thai still has many other delicious meals. I had the Swing Special, which was had beef and bok choy with a garlicky, clovey, gingery sauce. Quite excellent. For dessert, I had the mango sticky rice which was sublime. The mango was perfect. The rice drenched in that unique coconut milk concoction that has such a unique flavor. Little sesame seeds gave a nice, unexpected crunch. So I'm alright with Swing Thai removing my favorite menu item. Got to jump of the swing and try something new.

I think my sister and I may be Swing Thai's most frequent take out customers and I am not sure if I should be proud of this or not. Regardless of my pride, I love Swing Thai. It is consistently good, dangerously close to my house, and always arrives piping hot and is ready on time. I am a huge fan of their drunken noodles with vegetables and tofu. I get mine spicy, which is not for the faint of heart as they take their spice seriously at Swing Thai. My gluten free sister gets the pad Thai and has never gotten sick from it (this is a miracle for someone who actually has celiac disease!) Sadly these are the only two menu items I have ever tried, but I have no reason to veer off my current course. I love my drunken noodles and I love that I can go pick them up whenever I need them. Which is far too often.
(5)Gretchen G.
All it took was one bite to realize I'd be back. The flavor was amazing. It was quite busy, yet waited 10 minutes at the most for food to arrive at the table. Awesome staff as well.
(5)Jasmine C.
Oh Swing Thai, what has happened? You used to be the best Thai food in Denver hands down. I have been visiting your restaurant and ordering takeout for over a decade. Your Tom Kha was the best! No other Thai restaurant's Tom Kha even came close and I've tried them all. The issue I have is what the heck happened to the quality of your meat??? This is from the last three orders and dining experiences. Some examples - In the entrees, the beef tastes old, dry, tough and so, so well-done. In my boyfriend's last order of Tom Kha the chicken it seemed like it had been swimming in it for weeks. It was again dry and rubbery and "off" tasting. I have reverted to the veggie Tom Kha to avoid the meat but he was going to brave it once again. You pride yourselves on "All Natural Black Angus Beef" and "Sanderson Farms Chicken Breast (No Add Hormones and Steroids)," or is that information out-dated on your website? Was there a huge clearance sale on meat and you froze it for a year? I don't know if I could find lower quality beef. You used to be my favorite Thai restaurant so please, please read this and know that I have faith in you to bring back fresh meat!
(2)Jennifer R.
I went to Swing Thai for the first time tonight and I was not impressed. The service was great friendly attentive and always smiling. I ordered a spring roll and it seemed flavorless. For the entree I ordered the Pad Thai with medium spice because the waitress said the hot was really hot. WRONG! The pad Thai was very bland and boring. If you want some spice order it spicy. I have them a three because of the wait staff, promptness of service and a clean atmosphere.
(3)Drew M.
This place is amazing. My favorite dishes are the Beef Pad Thai, Jungle Curry (hot) , and the Penut Curry. They have great peanut sauce as well. I recommend this place to everyone living in the west washington park neighborhood.
(5)Derek M.
I visit Swing Thai on a regular basis both dining in and take-out after my brother introduced me to it many years ago. Always prompt and speedy service. My go-to do dish is the pad thai, most of the the spice temperature is as expected, sometimes the medium heat has a little too warm, but it seems to be more consistent as of late. Just the right amount of tangy-sweet, how I like it. The chicken can be a little on the dry side, the shrimp and the calamari (big slices), have been consistently good. My personal preference would be that they remove the tails on the shrimp. I am an American after all, ha. The curries have been decent, the soups have been decent and good spring/summer? rolls. The drink selection isn't the best, but seems typical in most Asian restaurants. Very poor wine choices. Prices are very fair. I've never had to wait for a seat, even at the small, quaint original location.

I really hate giving reviews to places with less than four stars. We came around 5PM on a Tuesday and it was empty (understandable). Service was very attentive, nice, always watching. Their thai iced tea was alright, not great compared to most places, but if you don't drink it a lot you wouldn't notice. The tofu spring roll was my highlight, (it's hard to mess up spring rolls) and the peanut sauce was pretty good. However, their green curry was not good. I ate all the tofu out of it. The rest of the vegetables weren't good, and the eggplant did not taste fully cooked. If there was no tofu in it, I don't think I would have ate it. Service is great, environment is nice, but there are much better restaurants to chose from. (check out karma asian on broadway)
(3)Lola M.
want consistently delicious, authentic Thai grub at on-point prices? swing by Swing Thai.
(5)Keegan Z.
Okay, so you know the older cook? I watched him stick his finger in his mouth to apparently pick something out between his molars, then grab ingredients to make my pad Thai with his bare hand. Yep. It's a shame. I used to eat here frequently. They have one of the better pad thai's in town. But, never again. If he would do that in plain sight, what is he doing when no one's looking? Gross
(1)Marta W.
Of the many Thai restaurants spread throughout Denver, Swing Thai's still MY favorite. The business is family-owned & operated and currently has 4 locations in town. The staff is always great and they know me personally. I've tried lunch, dinner, happy hour- and love it all. I also find myself stopping by for take-out from time to time. The food is just that good!
(5)Alex B.
A Thai restaurant where I enjoy eating in instead of only getting delivery! The atmosphere is nice inside, and they have a decent selection of beer (though last time I was there, it was pretty warm). The yellow curry noodles are delicious, and the drunken noodles and pad Thai are solid. Delivery is always piping hot, too, which I appreciate!
(4)Max S.
This is aggressively boring and uninteresting Thai food. We had the dark curry (bland and thin), Thai BBQ chicken (fatty and tasted a bit like cafeteria food), Tom ga soup (actually fine), and papaya salad (also bland). We ordered all of our food spicy. They spiced it up, but the flavor was lacking. Good points - fast and free parking. I don't plan on giving swing Thai another chance.

Am I missing something - where is Swing Thai on Alameda on here? Oh well, I'm pretty sure they are all managed and owned by the same people. I have been in a relationship with Swing Thai on Alameda for YEARS. My daughter and I eat here or order take-out on a weekly basis during the school year and we eat there at least twice a month all summer long. For the last couple of months, things haven't been going well. We've ordered our regular vegetarian dishes and they have included chicken in our soup. These have all been on take-out orders, once they even delivered a second order of the soup, and it STILL had chicken on it. So, I called them and told them about it (again) and they said the next time we come in, we will get a free soup. I thought, ok, we can work this out. I went in tonight to get our take-out and reminded them my name and that I had a free soup with my order. The "manager" looked through a book and said my name wasn't in it and then showed me a cover page in the binder that said "if it's not in the book do not honor it" and so no free soup. I let him know that I am in there all the time and he said "Well, I don't know you." He then went on to explain that people try to steal free food and I was just one of them. I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was! There are five other Thai restaurants within walking distance of our home and after six years, I'm moving on and breaking up with Swing Thai. I cannot wait to order food from ANY other place and strut by in satisfaction that I'm happier without you.
(1)Kyle P.
It was alright. Prices were fair. My food could have been spicier. Delivery was quite fast!
(4)Alden C.
Swing Thai is a nice little Thai restaurant to go to. It seems like in this neighborhood there are lots of choices for Asian cuisine like Fontana Sushi and Thai Basil for example. Only recently was it my first time to Swing Thai. The place is a bit small but warm and cozy. I ordered the Curried Yellow Noodles which was pretty good. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. Though I enjoyed my meal I am not entirely sure if the restaurant is in my groupings of favorites but there are no complaints to base this on, just personal tastes.
(4)a-p h.
Yesterday's leftovers. That's how the food tasted. Bbq chicken had good taste but was cold inside (but cooked), which tells me they're re-heating it. Fried rice with shrimp and pineapple was salty. Drunken noodles with beef, beef was dry, just like leftovers. Papaya salad not good. My friend had that so I don't know exactly what was wrong.
(2)Hayley S.
This is my favorite neighborhood spot. I've never waited more than 10 minutes, whether I'm dining in or ordering takeout. I've tried their curries, noodle dishes and fried rice. Everything is great, but the standout dish is the lemongrass soup. It is amazing!! Everybody who works there is so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Swing Thai to anyone who like authentic and delicious Thai food.
(5)Gretchen G.
There are so many Thai places in town it is hard to pick but this is why I pick here: There is parking, its limited but hey. They are lightening fast, order and minutes later there it is The pad thai is yummy Service is great, my water glass is never empty and they check on you all the time. The menu is more limited than some other places but let's be honest, I always order pad thai or drunken noodles so who needs the rest of the options to confuse me.
(3)Meg M.
Peanut curry with chicken was excellent! I substituted the spinach for bell peppers. Thai iced tea was also delicious! Will definitely be back. Great value. Quaint place. Friendly, attentive staff. Receive your food extremely fast! As far as the spiciness goes, I am very sensitive to spicy food. I asked for a zero on the spicy scale & they actually cooked it that way. I have had a variety of spiciness outcomes from Thai restaurants when ordering a zero..it is nice to know the zero is legit here & not make-you-sweat hot. Think I might try a 1 spiciness next time for a slight kick.
(5)Arielle W.
I've been going here for around 4 months once a month and never had a bad experience. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I love their Thai ice tea as it's a bit stronger than the stuff at the restaurant nearest me. None of the time that I've been there have they ever really screwed up and order, nor been unable to even after ordering divide the bills into two. It does however help if you tell them in advance before ordering anything. If the service was at all slow, or bad her and I wouldn't go back, but we do every time and happily. She lived in Indonesia when she was younger (she's not Thai nor Indonesian, nor Asian for that matter) and knows what traditional tastes like and how the food should taste in general. We've only ever been for lunch, but either never had to wait long, or at all. The wait staff are very nice and professional.
(4)Kalani F.
Finally tried the Swing Thai in the 'hood. I had take-out pad thai, and it was fast, and hot, and I like that they don't put the bean sprouts in with the pad thai, you add it later... no mushy bean sprouts here. I always have the pad thai with tofu, so I can't really speak to any kind of chicken/shrimp additions they offer. The tofu is okay in the pad thai- it isn't bad by any means, but it also does not knock my socks off of tofu-goodness. I actually avoided eating two chunks of eat this time around, because it was almost too much tofu. Flavor of the pad thai is good, not too greasy, as some others can be. Friendly staff. Efficient. I've just had pad thai I love more. But that doesn't mean someone else won't love this pad thai more than me- it is completely possible.
(3)Mike C.
For those of you that order delivery from Swing Thai...BEWARE if you are a credit card user. Their system is to write your full CC# with experiation date, your phone number and your address on a carbon copy slip. 1 for the restaurant, 1 for the driver, 1 on the DELIVERY BAG. So that's 3 copies of all your CC info floating around for anyone to find. I am astounded by how reckless this is! My girlfriend and I stopped ordering from the CO Blvd. location because of it, and know we have found the Pennsylvania St. location is doing the same thing. The food is always between good and great. It is a shame we wont be ordering from them for this extremely SLOPPY practice of theirs.
(1)Kealy D.
Swing Thai is in my neighborhood, and I finally gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised, given how small it was. I had a peanut & coconut curry, which was delicious. I cannot speak to its authenticity, having never been to Thailand, but it was the best Thai I've had in a while. Our server was very nice and attentive. I will be back!
(4)Carly B.
The Swing Thai on Colorado was my first introduction to Thai food (however authentic or inauthentice it is) and for that, I'll be forever grateful. Turns out, we actually live close to one now too! We've dined in (out on the patio actually, with the dog in tow....our server was nice enough to bring her a container of water) and also ordered take-out. My favorite here has always been their pud see u - with big chunks of egg and just the right amount of sauce...but more recently I've tried their pad thai. It's not the most amazing or authentic pad thai, but it has a nice balance of spices and isn't overly sweet. My biggest complaint is that "hot" is not hot enough, to me anyway. Another really cool thing they have here is unadulterated tom kha soup....most places serve up the tom kha gai version (meaning chicken), but at Swing Thai you can add any protein or even veggies. This is great news to me, because I don't like suppressing the urge for a delicious coconut lemongrass broth, just because I don't eat chicken (and if you've ever tried to make it, you'll know it's a labor of love). If you're not feeling something overly rich, the tom yum is a nice option too as it omits the coconut milk. The last time we got delivery, I went for this with added veggies and noodles (once again, ordered hot and not enough hot). Delivery is of the super-fast, can't-even-locate-your-purse-before-they-get-to-Âthe-door-variety. I approve.
(4)Kelly R.
Because I used to be such a loyal patron of this establishment years ago, I had to give them another chance. I ordered their standard- the Combo Pad Thai. It was as I remember it: very tasty! It was superbly spicy and cooked well. Sadly, I wish they would add a couple more shrimp...but I know times are tough, and that's probably not possible. I will continue to go back to this place, as it's always treated my cravings for sweet and spicy thai without much discourse. (One or two less than desirable experiences over 10 years is not enough to totally wipe them from my memory.) I would give them back a half star b/c of the great experience I just had, but unfortunately, we can't do halves. :(
(3)A. E.
The staff is always friendly and attentive. I've never had to wait very long for my food... Their curries are mediocre, but I'm in love with their pad thai. Soon enough they will know me by name.
(4)Jeramyn F.
Totally botched our check. Food was average not great.
(2)Lucinda R.
First time at this location, I've dined at the Colorado Blvd and 44 th and Tennyson locations numerous times. Not very clean and saw roaches. Last time I visit the Alameda location.
(1)Niki S.
Swing Thai is a major disappointment. I was unhappy with Thai Basil up the street, and this place is even worse!! The portions are tiny, the food is bland, the "flat noodles" are skinny (they're supposed to be wide!) and the food has zero spice (despite our request for "spicy"). I've had better Thai food out of a box from the grocery store. This place is unimpressive and irritating.
(1)Tara N.
Swing Thai is my go-to place for delivery. They use quality ingredients (everything seems very fresh) and the food is just really solid. The flavor of their Pad Thai is soooo yummy. I don't have a single complaint about the place.
(4)Ed P.
Over the weekend I made my first visit to Swing Thai. My wife had tried their food once before, but neither of us had ever dined in. There is a location close to our house (301 S. Pennsylvania) but we always seemed to pass it up when heading out for Thai food. The nearby Thai Basil gets most of our business. Since we were on foot, and Swing Thai is a few blocks closer to home, we decided to give it a try. Immediately I was amazed at how small this location is. You can see that it is small from the outside, but it was even smaller than I expected. The nice thing about the small size is that the kitchen is very close and the wonderful smells greet you right away upon entry. We were seated at a small table in the middle of the room. The service was alright, though it did take awhile to get our drinks, just a water and iced green tea. Refills came much quicker and the food was served quickly too. I decided to try the Jungle Curry, while my wife had the Pad Thai. The curry came with a warning of it being hot, but I didn't think it was too spicy. It was a little more soupy than I'm used to, but the vegetables were wonderful. I was a little shocked at the serving size of the dish. Typically when ordering curry at other restaurants I've been given so much that it often supplies enough leftovers for multiple lunches. The serving of curry here was much smaller and I had no problem eating it all. The Pad Thai was closer to the normal service size, but perhaps still a little small. We left with absolutely no leftovers. Despite this complaint, the food was very good and of the highest quality.
(3)Maria B.
I recently had dinner with a couple of friends at this establishment. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was casual dining in a lofty looking restaurant with glazed bare brick walls and warm-dark woods. I had the Pad See U with steak and a vegetable roll. The sauces are ridiculously good! I just wanted to lick the dish, but that would look foolish. Every dish is prepared to order and at the moment after ordering. Your food is served to you from the kitchen to your table without any downtime in between. This provides you with a sizzling dish of yummyness. You can't go wrong with dining here. The serice is on point; the food is beyond good. The portions are a perfect serving, but you will leave completely satisfied. Quality not quantity.
(4)Liezl R.
The location is so convenient as well as the parking. It's a great place to go to with a friend or significant other if you're looking for just casual yet intimate atmosphere. It's a great dine-in restaurant. They are really fast if you are ordering out as well. The drunken noodles and pad Thai are great. I'm a vegetarian and they have Tofu options. They also include gluten free as well as vegan free menu items.
(3)Ryan S.
Unique, delicious, home style Thai food is hard to come across in Denver. Swing Thai manages to do all of the above. The flavors are delicious, the portions are great, prices reasonable, service is great and the environment feels like you're (somewhat) in a Thai home. The next time I'm craving some spicy Thai to boost the good ol immune system, Swing Thai will be swiping my credit card.
(5)Krista H.
We've been getting into Thai a lot more lately so we've been perusing the Denver Thai Restaurant scene. After going to several other places we finally decided to try this place since it's not far and we kept threatening. Maybe it was just an off night, but there were a few obvious problems even though the food for the most part was great. We got there right after 5. Yes, 5 but we hadn't eaten much all day so we wanted to get something early. Anyhoo...we were the first people there. Immediately the serve didn't seem to thrilled that we were bothering her. I worked in restaurants for YEARS so I try to make every excuse for servers that I can but it was really obvious we were interrupting her night. Mind you we are drinkers so that should be a good sign, but none the less she could have cared less. What we had... Tom Yum - well actually on the menu they Americanized it to say Lemon Grass or something, but I knew where they were going. Our server was a little annoyed that I called it Tom Yum. Sheesh, sorry for knowing the correct name. Sadly it was COLD. Being that it was a cold day I was frustrated since I wanted to warm up. You could tell it tasted good, but some of the vegetables weren't even cooked through. I would have asked for it warmed up but she never came back or even out of the kitchen. Hot and Sour Soup - Boyfriend had this and I had a taste. It was warm and tasty. Coconut Curry - I remember having a coconut type curry with chicken. First off, it was HUGE. I ate it for two days. It was really tasty and I still kind of crave it. All in all the food was good, except for my soup, but the service was sub par. With such a vibrant Thai scene in Denver, I'd rather drive to Aurora then roll the dice on this place again. Maybe I'll give it another chance since so many other reviewers had a better experience.
(3)Larissa V.
I thought the food was very tasty and the service was fast (albeit we were the only ones there). I'd go back.
(4)Lisa O.
The interior is very cool to look at, and has single-seater bars for solos like myself. I got the Pad Gra Pau which came out in about 2.5 minutes, and was very pleasing with fresh, hot, crisp beans and bell peppers, with garlic and basil. The rice was nice, and so was the iced green tea. I kind of left wishing I'd just had the pad thai or one of the curries instead, but maybe I'll be back to try again.
(3)Cameron F.
If you have a gluten allergy this place is great. Well priced and a good serving size. The service was also good. Well recommended.
(4)Steve K.
Drunken Noodles are excellent and the small atmosphere is enjoyable.
(4)Lexi P.
The food is amazing! If you love spicy food then this is the place for you and it's reasonably priced. One thing though is that they close exactly at 9pm on weekdays. I stopped in at 9:02pm, the doors weren't locked so I walked in asking for a carry out, but they wouldn't take my order.

Went here for dinner last thursday night. We were thinking about Spicy Basil, but were directed to another place that we couldn't find, and therefore ended up here! It is definitely on the PeiWei type of thing. You can order takeout yourself at the counter or be seated and then they order your food at the counter for you! It was pretty crowded for almost 7pm, but we didn't have any trouble getting a seat. The decor was cute and my water glass was kept full! We started with the spring rolls - my bad- i'm not a big fan of the texture of the cold spring rolls, there was a fried version that the table next to us got that looked pretty good! Although the sauce on the cold ones was pretty tasty! I also ordered a pot of green tea. It was neat to have your own little cast iron pot! For our meals I went with the Egg Plant Pud Gra Pow - eggplant in white bean sauce! I was a little unsure of my choice, but it was great! Great flavor and wonderful sauce. Hubby did pad thai and was a little under impressed that there were no options for spicy - they delivered a small bowl (after you reminded them) of hot chili sauce. Hrmph. But they did have mochi for desert - which i was too full for, but dang, i'll be ready next time! Parking was a bit scary! Don't go with a large vehicle! You could get stuck depending on everyone else's ability to park!

I am married to a man who is allergic to shrimp and is, therefore, afraid to eat at most asian-food establishments... for fear of hidden shrimp residue. i love Thai food, so for the most part - I've had a Thai void in my heart for a long time. no more! hooray After coming here with a friend (on a rare once a year Thai outing), and seeing how extremely clean and nice this restaurant is and how they use natural chicken and Harris ranch beef (btw, the drunken noodles with beef is fab) - I had a feeling that this restaurant was trustworthy enough to ease my husbands shrimp anxiety issues. after some coaxing, he agreed to go we have been several times since and the food is fresh and delicious. the quality ingredients really shine through. and most importantly - it's safe. their service is awesome and there is parking. the only reason I am knocking off one star, bc the spicy factor is a bit mild for my liking. thank you swing Thai!!! now i will be able to eat Thai food more that once a year :)

Pretty decent place and fast. Hubby likes the Chicken Satay, to me, its just ok. The order of the dinner date were: Soup Bowl : Tom Yum with Calamari (Mine). Beef Dark Curry (Hubby) Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice (Mine) Hot Jasmine Tea By The Pot at least we have 2 refills, since we both share the Jasmine tea...

This is a nice neighborhood Thai place. I had the Pad Thai and it was very tasty - just the right spice level. I also tried the Thai ice tea and it was delicious. The decor is cozy and modern and the service was helpful.

Haven't been here in forever, but they were one of my first regular Thai restaurants, and where I really got my taste for Thai food.

Sadly, this place just didn't do anything for me. The semi-fast food atmosphere matched the food. First of all, it came out literally 2 minutes after we ordered. I'm not knocking fast service, but that's just too quick. Obviously this was a case of quickly mixing up "stock" ingredients. I had the yellow curry noodles with tofu (the yellow curry being promoted by the server as being one of her favorites). The noodles were congealed in a clump somewhere in the entree, the sparse veggies were nothing special, tofu was pretty chewy, the portion size was small, and the plate it came on was almost smaller. It came with rice but i'm not sure what i was supposed to do with it. Heap it on top of the tiny noodle entree on the tiny plate and mix it into the curry paste? My experience here was mediocre at best, but as one to always offer a better alternative, I will suggest Thai Pot on Colorado as a MUCH better bet. Or for a similar curry noodle entree fast, the Thai curry noodles at Noodles and Co are honestly great for the price.

the pud thai is really all you need to get here. always delicious. I've tried the jungle curry and it was amazingly spicy, but still not as delicious as any version if the pud thai

I loathe reading others' reviews about ethnic restaurants like "it's not really Botswanan cuisine, it's more like Botswanan-American". News flash, most ethnic restaurants in this town try the best mix between what their name represents and what keeps the lights on. They have to cater to what whitey is going to eat (I'm white so I can make that joke. I can also make Catholic jokes because I recovered from Catholic school - see how that works?). This Swing Thai (I think it is the first) has some great stuff on the menu, and I give it a straight-up 3, not a strong or a weak one. The satays are overpriced, things tend to move a little more slowly than I wish, but all in all I like it. It's like build-you-own-burger Thai (I'd like that with tofu instead of beef, and really hot - oh, and can you slam some extra cilantro in there?). The only dish that spooks me out is some chickeny thingy that looks like Red Dye #2 (didn't the FDA ban that?) is all over it. All in all, I'm glad it's in my neighborhood. If you're in mine, and are hungry, give it a shout. It fails to suck. If you want a more authentic Asian experience, head up to Federal and Alameda.

Great food, cheap price. Super fast. I will go here again and again. For those familiar with Thai Food, they offer mild, medium, and hot flavors so that you don't die when you eat the food if you can't handle the heat. My friend eats pad thai all the time, and he says this is the best he has ever had. The wait staff was super fast and responsive, and pretty nice and talkative.

Service- 4 stars.... almost three for practically breathing down my back waiting for my yummy Iced Green tea to be half full!!! Food 2- I had a Mushroom and shrimp dish and it was ok... not "medium" spicy or even spicy at all... I have eaten here for a long time and never really think it is worth the price.

This place is the best thai place I've found in my area. The dark curry is SO good and the prices are really reasonable!! LOVE THIS PLACE!

OK, so after being back to this place, I up my 3.5 review to a solid 5 stars! I haven't yet been disappointed. .. well I guess, the first time I went here, I had the drunken noodles.. Really, that wasn't all too good.. At least I didn't think so. I really didn't like the texture of the noodles. Also, they were a bit on the hard, or thick side. To me, it didn't seem like they were cooked enough. I've also had the Pud Thai, which is delicious. I enjoy good pad Thai, and this recipe doesn't let me down. If it's your first time coming here, I highly recommend the Dark Curry, or the Sweet & Sour vegetables and Tofu, Both are pretty basic dishes but have amazing textures and wonderful flavors. I had the Sweet and Sour dish extra spicy, which made it have an excellent combo of heat and sweetness. Really nice. The Dark Curry, is made with green beans, carrots, bell peppers and red curry paste. I love curry, so my opinion on that is a bit biased.. but honestly, it's truly fabulous. It had tons of flavor and just enough kick for my likings. I tried the mango margarita last night for the first time.. Not too big on margaritas.. I like them, but I don't really drink too much sweet drinks.. my stomach gets angry when I do. That was good. It wasn't the best, really just your average mango margarita. Decent! Swing Thai also has a really nice Thai Iced Tea.. I love tea, especially iced tea, but personally I am just a plane Jane when it comes to tea.. I really just like an iced black tea.. This is one of my only exceptions. Very delicious, and a nice little treat to sip on on top of a belly full of great food. Overall, I wasn't too impress upon my first time here.. since then I've been extremely satisfied with this place. The service has always been great. The chefs are talkative, if it's not busy.. The best time, in my opinion, to come here, if you can, is around 4:30pm.. The whole aura this gives is crazy! Especially in the winter time, when the sun is setting, it's dark out, you and your loved one are the only people in the place, the nice jazz music, and the service all combined makes it a nice experience. I'm not a foodie by any means, but I enjoy a good meal... This place may not have the best Thai food in the state, but to me, it's so much more than that!

I love thai food. It became a staple of my diet while I was in college due to a restaurant called Thaicoon in Greenville, SC (pretty much the best place ever). Thus when I tried Swing Thai my expectations here hai. I came in for lunch and tried the Jungle Curry with chicken. The dish was most excellent - succulent Thai style spicy, but not so hot that it gives you that buffalo wing kind of sustained tongue burning. The service was prompt and friendly, and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant makes it more than just a speedy take out place. I REALLY appreciated when the waiter came an offered me extra rice, as there is no way I'm letting my delicious Thai curry juices remained unconsumed. Check them out for a go-to neighborhood Thai hookup.

I really like the Pad Thai here. It's not a really big place, so I don't know how well it works for groups. There are some tasty things on the menu that are a lot healthier than your typical Asian restaurant too.

Another local speedy delivery place, eating in can be tough because the parking lot is the size of a postage stamp. Even though I'm not gluten-free, I have enough friends who are that a menu that designates gluten-free options always gets my attention. The same goes with vegetarian options. For these reasons, Swing Thai is pretty cool. I like the fried veggie rolls but wow oh wow are they fried. The fishy sauce they come with is pretty good for dipping too. Stopping in for a beer and these crunchy munchins can be quite a yummy snack. For dinner, I usually go for the Pud Thai or Massaman Curry with Tofu medium spicy. I wish there were more potato chunks, but it is satisfying and I do savor the flavor. The coconut and lemongrass soup is also quite tasty.

OK OK OK before I even get started, know that 3-stars is a solid rating from me; you really have to knock my socks off to get a 4-star, and I have a Thai place in Washington DC that is my perennial 5-star.... This prelude said, Swing Thai is solid. Tasty, above average for Thai food in this town, speedy delivery - what you absolutely need for a Sunday-night-I'm-not-cooking-dinner-who-am-I-Âcalling... I absolutely LOVE that they have options for people with special dietary needs, and it's so cool that I can order a side of veggies to round out my pud thai order ( gotta hit that $15 delivery threshhold! )

I really like the food here and have never had a bad experience. Maybe that's because I must not be a Thai connosoeur. We just went back this weekend and once again with a lovely experience. The waitstaff is always friendly, the food is quick and it always tastes good to me. And yes, I think it tastes fresh, not frozen like someone previously posted. The atmosphere is nice and it's very clean. We tried the little ice cream puffs wrapped in rice paper for the first time and boy were they yummy!! I'd say the only downfall to this location is the space. It's not very conducive to large groups as the tables are small and the space is small. They can move tables together but if its a busy night, you'll probably have to wait a while. Try the one on Colorado Blvd if you want to go with a group. It's much bigger.

I wa disappointed..asked for mild, got spicy. The Thai iced tea was from a mix and had an after taste. This USED to be a great restaurantbut has really gone down hill. :(

I was a fan of the downtown location and I'm a fan of this one. The food is consistently good. Everything seems fresh. Love the Pad Thai

I am missing Thai Lotus in Greenwood Village so badly right now! This place felt rushed and almost like a chain. The service was bad and rushed even though the tables weren't full. The waitress came over every minute asking if we were ready to order. I had the Pad Thai and it was really sweet and had too much sauce. I had a 6 dollar glass of house wine that was tiny and blah. The waitress brought me a box even though my boyfriend was still eating. I do like the fact that gluten free is listed on the menu but I still won't return....too many good places to eat in this city.

Just ordered Pad Thai with shrimp for takeout and I was not disappointed! It's been a while since I've eaten here, so I took one of the other reviewer's recommendations for the Pad Thai and ordered it spicy. It was delicious. While I didn't stay, it did have a nice vibe on the patio and had a bunch of people dining inside too. I like the exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and the garage door wall of windows. It's a good local Thai place. I'm giving it 3 stars because I only ordered one thing and didn't stay and eat there. Will order again!
(3)Andrew S.
Yeah, not bad. Will return, but still quite underwhelmed by Denver's Thai choices.
(3)Luc B.
This is my standby for good food that's fast, well-made, and tasty. I usually go for the delivery, and the service is fast and friendly. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. Highly recommended!
(5)Kelly B.
I had the Swing Thai special with tofu at medium spicy and it was really good. I had it at medium spicy and the chili-soy based sauce was really flavorful, the veggies were fresh and delicious. I also had the spring roll which was good but pretty standard. My only complaint was that the prices are a little high for the dishes and they were a little skimpy on the tofu. I will definately eat here again but I also want to keep my Thai food options open.
(3)Archer D.
Good fast casual Thai place, good prices and good curries, my only concern is the inconsistencie on spices, I have a hard time getting a really spicey meal here.
(4)Elizabeth D.
Lots of people eating lunch...I don't know why...the meal was really subpar...fishcakes spongy...BBQ chix dry and not particularly Thai... snap peas oily, but sweet...mango rice pudding very ho hum, and the thai noodle soup nothing to write home about. So why is this place popular, beats me!!!
(1)John L.
I love the pad thai with chicken and shrimp!! You can request extra spicy and they'll make it for you. The curries are also very good, although beware of the Jungle Curry...... it's HOT! I've been to Thailand, and the cooks at Swing Thai can replicate the spiciness that you'll get there, if you ask them to. This place is on par with the best pad thai in town, that I've experienced. That's my $0.02.
(4)Levi L.
Pretty good - it's at least similar to the Thai Food I'm used to. It was a little sweeter than normal Thai Food and it was a little more expensive than I'm used to paying, too. All in all, I'd eat there again if I'm desparate for Thai. It's a distant 3rd place Thai joint for Denver - behind US Thai and Star Thai.
(3)Taylor G.
I've been going to swing thai ( all the locations) over the years and I havnt really had a bad experience. One or two times I may have seen a place a little more dirtier than another . Think one time I smelled sewage at Tennyson location. I love having a thai iced tea-compliments the soup I always get. I agree with some of the dishes being a little skimpy on chicken or shrimp in the order but still not entirely turning me away. I prefer the one near Logan and Alameda. They're always very clean inside and quick with my orders.
(3)Jeff C.
Vegetarian - friendly Vegan - friendly Service - excellent and friendly Eaten here around 100 times and the meals have always been good and sometimes great. Service is always very good and the staff and owner are very friendly. Vegetarian selection is good. Tofu is organic. Mojitos excellent. Their jasmine tea is great. Recommend the Coconut Curry soup, Green Curry, and generally the Yellow Curry. Prices are a little high. Definitely worth a try.
(4)Elizabeth W.
This is a great palce to grab some yummy Thai food. And they offer Vegan Food!! Yeah! All the curries are great. The staff is very friendly! I love the decore! Try the Mango Mojito...it is the best!!
(4)Heather C.
Decent, fast, not too expensive. Friendly staff, cute interior.
(4)Krista P.
one of the best Thai places - I love it because they have good microbrews too, which is rare for Thai. If you go, I like their Drunken Noodles, or the bean thread yellow curry. If you are in the mood for spice, the jungle curry is fantastic.

Had a lovely dining experience with a friend who is just growing balls in regards to trying ethnic foods. Everything was delicious. The beef salad had a bit too much fish sauce for my friend's liking. However, I found it just fine, maybe a bit salty. Good stuff and decent service.

good spicy levels, mixed veggies good, curries good
