The Panang chicken curry kicks butt! I also ordered the pad Thai chicken and accidentally ordered it Mild so it had zero spice. I ordered take out and had to wait 5 mins after I got inside the restaurant with only 3 tables sitting inside. Maybe there was a sick call? I'm giving 5 stars for the food. Worth checking out!

Got the drunken noodles and it was A-OK, Wanted to try the curry puffs but they were out of them. Prices for appetizers seemed a bit high. Menu seemed to have a lot of the same dishes many other places have. Service was good.

I know authentic Thai food and this place is absolutely authentic. The only thing that could make them any more authentic is adding fermented shrimp paste to their papaya salad but that would probably scare most Americans away. (: The staff is sooo concerned about how their food tastes and how your experience is that they check on you every few bites. I gave a 40% tip because it was just that good. We ordered green curry, chicken satay to eat with papaya salad and rice, and also the beef larb. Absolutely amazing.

Awesome authentic Thai, friendly staff and good prices. Will be coming back! Only down side is no alcohol... Went back with my vegan wife and it was just as good, great service and again delicious fresh food.

Very authentic, fresh ingredients, and absolutely delicious Thai food! Went with the bf and we will definitely be back! We each ordered soup and pad Thai, enough food to stuff our faces and still bring home leftovers. Excellent service as well! Liking forward to trying more of the menu soon!

Excellent food at affordable price! We had curry puff--super good appetizer & Pad Thai & shrimp green curry. All great. Medium on green curry was a little too hot for us, but still excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow, the Panang curry was the best curry I have ever had. The drunken noodles were good because they were loaded with vegi' and wasn't swimming in oil like most places. The pad Thai was really great too. I will be back. Service was great as well.

Let me preface this review by saying that as a student in New York, I like to frequent some of the most popular Thai restaurants in NYC. I have also visited quite a few Thai restaurants in the Boston area. My boyfriend is Thai, so I get to eat his mom's homemade Thai cooking as well. Basically, I love eating Thai food and I think I have some ability to distinguish between what is good and what is bad. When I visited home for winter break, I was really craving some Thai food. I tried several other restaurants that were pretty sub-par compared to what I was used to. Then, I came across this little gem on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I went there with two other people and when we arrived, there were no diners inside. We thought about leaving, since we took it to be a bad sign but in the end we gave it the benefit of the doubt and went in. I am SO happy that we didn't leave. This place is the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at. Period. At our table we ordered vegetable rolls, curry puffs (recommended by the waitress), chicken pad Thai, tofu panang curry, papaya salad, and sticky rice. Everything tasted like it was homemade - super fresh and not too oily. The curry puffs are soft and almost bun-like. The curry potato filling has a rich flavor and a delicate texture. The papaya salad AKA Som Tum is the perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. (I always order papaya salad as a side dish whenever I go to a Thai restaurant since it is one of the most ubiquitous authentic Thai dishes. Often times, you can tell the quality of a Thai restaurant solely from how good their papaya salad is.) The sticky rice, which is eaten by dipping it into the juices of the papaya salad, is just the right texture and not overcooked to a stiff glob. This place steams the sticky rice in a banana leaf so it has a slight fragrant taste. Most other places don't bother and instead steam it in a plastic bag. The pad Thai noodles were stir-fried just right without the noodles sticking together. The panang curry wasn't heavy at all and had a nice flavor. All portion sizes are fairly generous. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The place is super clean. To top it all off, the total for three people was cheaper than what I might spend for myself in NYC. When I'm back in town, this will be the only place that I will get Thai food from!

I'm not a Thai food expert but I've visited quite a lot because I like them. This place looks like the real deal. Ethnic food the real way. The place is small but very clean and welcoming. Good service with somebody who always had a smile on her face. The food was glorious. Plenty of it and very flavorful. It didn't look like those places that are trying to save a few pennies and reducing the ingredients. Looked like home made food. Prices were good. Fully recommended. I just hope they don't change their identity and start being a westernized Thai place in the future and continue to be an original small Thai place.

Denver needed Suvipa Thai. I travel to Thailand annually and love authentic Thai cuisine. Suvipa Thai is as close to Thailand you are going get here on the front range. Their food was amazing and their service was too. If you like Thai, you found the right place. You won't be disappointed.

I have tried different dishes here. Some of my favorites are Pad lad na aka rice noodles with gravy, Tom Yum soup, silver noodles salad, spicy cat fish, and all of the curries. Ingredients are very fresh. Curry paste are home made. This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant is clean and prices are very reasonable.

I love Thai food here because they served real Thai food. I have panang curry with chicken. It was so good and delicious, inside of the restaurant is so clean and bright.:)

Love this place! My wife and I are vegetarians and we were very impressed with the selections. We had the spring rolls, Thai curry, and vegetables in peanut sauce. They were all so good! We even took home a pad Thai that we ate the next day and it was great. The restaurant is family-owned and it really shows how much they care about the customers. The food is fantastic, and actually very healthy. The service is spot-on, and the restaurant is incredibly clean. We will definitely be back!

Wow. This is the real Thai food Denver has been missing. My husband happened upon the owner last week who told him he s s his wife were the original owners of J's Noodles. They sold the restaurant a while back to pay for some medical bills. J's was nene the same. But now we have amazing Thai food again at Supiva Thai. It's the same recipes and as I found out last night the same authentic food. My favorite is Pad See Ew. Other restaurants just don't do it right. I was thrilled to receive noodles caramelized perfectly last night. The Tom Ka Gai was full of complex flavors. I can't wait to go back!!

Sorry most brethren Yelpers, whom didn't like this place very much! As a part Thai, living in Denver (where it's scarce for quality and value for Thai food), I found this place pretty delicious. I was happy not to have to pay $10+ like a counterpart across town. From what I read, the bigger complaints about this place is it's "not spicy enough." One has to give the cook credit, when a non-Thai says they want their dishes "hot," it is disquieting to make it "hot!" They saw that I am Thai so their mild was too hot for my Caucasian friends, but just medium for me. Overall, you can request for the side Thai condiments, which contain the chili in fish sauce, spicy fine chili powder, serranos in vinegar, and chili paste. There is no going back when it's too spicy, then the customers complain about how spicy it is.... We ordered the Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Coconut Soup, Herb Roasted Chicken, Coconut ice cream with sticky rice, and sticky rice with custard (Thai flan). We asked for our dishes medium and my poor friends downed about a gallon of water. We thought the chicken would come with a quarter chicken, but it felt like they gave us the whole chicken! We ate most of it with non-sweet sticky rice, using our fingers (Thai style). The Pad Thai was done the right way, where it was not saucy and not overly sweet. The Coconut Soup/Tom Kha, was a hot and sour type soup. Overall, I really enjoyed it. Then again, I'm going to go back and see if it was just as good the first time!

  • Rachel G.

The food here was pretty good. We got the skewers for appetizer, they were a little over cooked but the sauce was good. We also got the coconut soup, which was pretty delicious but basic. There was not as much content as I would like. I got a thai iced coffee, it had a little too much condense milk and was very sweet. For main course we for the spicy pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. The spicy pad Thai was delicious, definitely on point and the pineapple fried rice was pretty good but not my favorite. I was sad that they were out of curry puffs, and taro curry puffs and will definitely come back to try them. Four stars for food, but three because the service was terrible. Waited 40 minutes just to have the waitress take our order. Did not get our meal until an hour and half later, and ended up spending over 2 1/2 hours in this restaurant. Another table had to go serve themselves water because she was taking so long. I would definitely recommend this place for the food and I will definitely go back in the future but will learn from this experience and get take out instead.

Meh, is exactly right. Went late on Saturday night to do a food run after a day of hanging out in the park. I got several orders for several people and the all-around consensus was "meh." The food had flavor but I'm not sure it was the best. I had drunken noodles (medium spice level) and found it to be extremely spicy. It had very few noodles actually, and thought everything could be a bit more fresh. On top of that, I don't think the veggies in it were typical of drunken noodles I've gotten in the past...it mainly had green beans in it. HUH? It was cheap, on the plus side. Still on the hunt for my perfect drunken noodles...

So so so sad..prices increased by a lot. Just can't pay these hipster prices. It's sad to see that infiltrate my neighborhood...this is Federal, the west side, not Highlands or Cap Hill. Lame.

  • Mark T.

Just when you thought South Federal couldn't get any more exciting, here comes sassy, savory Suvipa Thai to excite you with a combination of culinary classics and lesser-known items that'll add some glee to your gullet. Suvipa's curry puffs have been attracting attention since the eatery first opened its doors, and quite rightly so too. These made-to-order pastries (stuffed either with soft potatoes and Karee [Thai yellow curry] or sturdy taro root cubes in coconut milk) are always decadently delectable - and as you've probably heard, they tend to sell out fast, so get there early for best results! If you do arrive a bit too late, however, never fear - the fish tofu is also a treat. Yes, you heard me correctly - this dish does indeed consist of fried chunks of ground fish with the consistency of beancurd - and they're delicious, so stop making that face. Then again, if you're seeking something you can really sink your teeth into, the Satay (skewered chicken with creamy peanut sauce, a recipe originating on the Indonesian island of Java) is always a popular fave too. "Well Mark", I hear you inquire, "those do all sound great, but what about their main dishes?". I'm so glad you asked. One of my absolute favorites is the Khao Kluk Kapi - rice stir-fried with pungent (in the best possible way of course) shrimp paste and finely diced Thai chili peppers, with some plump shrimp added to the mix as well. If you want to explore the quintessentially Thai affinity for fresh herbs, two standout items are the zesty stirfry of eggplant and Kaprao [holy basil leaves] and the slightly more mellow sauté of beef and Makrud [lime leaves]. Of course, you can never go wrong with some Khao Pad Sapparod [fried rice with juicy pineapple chunks and your choice of protein] can you? Then there are all the old-favorites too - curries, noodle dishes, grilled chicken, oh wow! So pay Suvipa a visit, and see what I mean.

I can't wait to try out more food here. We need more Thai restaurants! Considering they've only been open for 3 months, they are doing really well. Our favorite dishes were the panang curry, pad thai, and fish with 3 flavor sauce (the fish is slightly tough/hard, however flavor is really good). We went in here with 9 people, 8 adults and 1 child and ordered 7 entrees, 3 appetizers and one child entree and the bill was $86! And we brought food home! If we could, we would've eaten it all, but there simple was too much food. There is also a stamp card, make sure to ask about it because they forgot to tell us. Get a stamp for every $25 or more spent there, 5 stamps will get you a free entree. This place is a hole in the wall on Federal, really small, lacking in decoration and ambiance. ... but I come for the food! See you soon!

I have been in this establishment many times when the restaurant was under different names and ownerships. The Vietnamese food was good, then the vegetarian Vietnamese food was good, too. I wasn't sure if the Thai place was good but I am glad I checked out yelp before I went. I ordered shrimp paste fried rice based on other yelper's recommendation. I am glad I did. Get it please! It's so flavorful and fragrant. I am a huge fried rice fan and this is definitely a dish that I will come back for again and again. My bf played safe and ordered green curry with chicken, which was pretty decent as well. We also shared a papaya salad. It was very tasty and all those exotic flavors just blend so well together (it was spicy though). We both chose "just a little spicy" and we were pretty happy with the results. To sum it up, food was cheap and delicious. Portion is big, very satisfying. Ingredients are fresh. You cannot beat their price. Service was fast. Plus, it's refreshing to have other options on the menu other than pad thai and sticky rice. I know I just had the fried rice yesterday but I am already craving for it. ;)

We came in here for Dinner. Time was about 18:50hrs ish. That evening was on Wednesday December 24th 2014. Err, for one, its A BIG MISTAKE to seat near the entrance. Secondly, TAKE NOTE TO SELF, if want those CURRY PUFFS, DO COME EARLY coz it RAN OUT - aka - SOLD OUT by the time we were there. Menu looks simple. But nothing seems calling our name... Hubs opt to have the SPICY BEEF with Kafir Lime Leaves ($8.00), while I have to "settle" for Shrimp Chili Paste Fried Rice ($8.50). We also opt to order CHICKEN SATAY ($6.50), and the CHICKEN EGG ROLL ($5.00). Hubs order came out first at 19:05hrs. Its NOT SPICY AT ALL. But its definitely LOADED with KAFIR LIME LEAVES to the MAX! Then when my order came out, IT WAS THE WRONG Order. I could have and should have taken the picture of the wrong order. By this time, Hubs already finished his MAIN ENTREE. *SIGH* The server bring back that plate to the Cook, and then a few minutes later, the server brings out my order of Shrimp Chili Paste Fried Rice at 19:25hrs ish. First bite of Shrimp Chili Paste Fried Rice, was OK. YES, there are several Shrimps with its tail intact. Yes there are thinly slice young lemon grass in my Main Entrée of Shrimp Chili Paste Fried Rice. But to make it spicier, I ask the server to bring me the "condiment" tray.. From there, I put the pickled Serrano/Jalapeno chillies, and some red hot pepper flakes... then my order of Shrimp Paste Fried Rice "sealed" the deal.. the SPICY I want and I like. YES its ONLY 1 cook and 1 server who runs the whole tiny restaurant. YES, they can be swamped with other patrons alike. But with regards to the food, THEY CAN DO BETTER in terms of Flavor and even presentation. NOTE TO SELF : Next time see the SPECIALS OF THE DAY. In which for that evening they offer Mussels. All in all 3 stars at best. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from the Menu. To return its a MAYBE, and DEFINITELY I want to try that "elusive" CURRY PUFFS. Perhaps from there my review might differ. Above anything else, we wish them well in their Business undertakings especially in this part of Neighborhood since it lacks of Thai establishments. Left Suvipa Thai Food at about 19:50hrs ish. Stumbled upon this hidden gem via Yelp! Thanks guys! Absolutely fantastic food, and the restaurant is very clean to boot. One of the few places that I've been where hot actually means hot. I am absolutely no slouch, but, the hot was pushing me a little bit, recommend you order down if there are any questions. Went with a party of eight and everyone was very pleased. Will absolutely be back again. If you don't want to take my word for it, Westword named it the best Thai restaurant as part of the Best of Denver 2015.

Ordered take-out from here twice in one weekend, so clearly I am a fan. The woman taking my order was soft spoken and friendly. Our food was ready quickly (10-15 minutes). Thoughts on each item, listed from favorite to least favorite: Curry puff: amazing. I wish I had ordered more. Still warm and the perfect texture when I arrived home. An excellent deal too. They sell out fast. Penang curry with beef: delicious. Ordered this twice. Creamy and spicy. A generous serving of curry sauce, complimented by savory beef and crunchy bell peppers. The fresh Thai basil leaves were a welcome addition to the strong punch of flavor. This inspired my husband to cook Penang curry at home. Fried spring rolls: it's rare to find a local Thai restaurant that offers spring rolls with a satisfying crispy exterior and tasty interior ingredients. Supiva's offer both. I was impressed. Taro puff: like the curry puff, tasty and an excellent deal, but more dessert-like than the curry puff. Pad Thai: the medium was spicier than the typical medium at other Thai restaurants. The tofu was delicious. The bean sprouts tasted fresh. I would have appreciated more egg and lime. Pad Thai woon sen: I usually prefer woon sen to its traditional pad Thai counterpart, but it was too spicy for my tastes here. The clear noodles took on an orange hue that seemed to reflect the large portion of spices used. Not sure that I would order this again here. Yum woon sen: looked great in others' photos, but was disappointing. Could have used more lime juice, more vegetables (especially red onion), and fresher shrimp. In sum, I'd return to Supiva in a heartbeat for their curries and appetizers. They have a great selection, fast service, and friendly staff. I'm excited to try out more of their offerings and hope to find a noodle dish that I love enough to crave there.

Sorry Yelpers you steered me wrong. No way is this a 41/2 star dining experience - at least it wasn't at lunch today. Had really wanted to try David's Kabob House for my weekly lunch with my friend but they're closed this week. What to do? Well, I've read good things about this little hole in the wall on South Federal so off we went. Arrived at about 1:30 pm to the sounds of screeching children. Not a good start plus there is zero atmosphere - I mean none - been in more welcoming hospital cafeterias. Hostess/waitress was nice but terribly shy. Out of the curry puffs (not sure why they are on the menu since they never have them) so moved on to some pretty boring egg rolls and a green papaya salad. Neither of much interest, although the salad ordered medium spicy really had our lips tingling. I'm sure I mis-ordered but we went on to share the seafood Drunken Noodles and it was maybe the single worst Thai dish I've ever had. The sauce was bland and greasy (even ordered medium), noodles were way overcooked and broken into tiny pieces, and the seafood (very scant though it was) was well beyond it's expiration date. My fingers are crossed for no later repercussions. We didn't finish any of this and left hungry. I think Taste of Thailand is so far superior but then you have to deal with the parking down there. I should have toughed it out though because even given that this check was only $23 plus tip, it wasn't worth it.

This place was 19 miles away from my hotel and the drive was worth it. I had the Tom Yum Noodle soup with chicken and it was delicious. It had a lot of onions in it, but the pieces were big enough to be easily taken out. - if youre not an onion person, ask for no onions. I also got the chicken Satay and that too was yummy. Its in a strip mall, and had i just drove by it on the street, i wouldnt go inside of it, so im glad that my fellow yelpers didnt let me down!

  • Carolyn P.

Don't be concerned about the sketchy parking lot and strip mall that Suvipa's is tucked into... Well, maybe a little concerned about whether your car will survive the potholes, but fear not because your worries will be whisked away by the taste of delicious, fresh Thai cuisine! In the Vietnamese-dominated "pho-central" stretch of Federal, Suvipa's is a fresh awakening of the Thai senses! So far I have tried the Hot Basil chicken, the Tom Kha, and the "special" that happened to be some sort of spicy shrimp noodle dish. Everything was excellent. Piping hot food, friendly service, and at an incredible price. It's a small shop (perhaps 10-12 small tables?) with an oddly placed TV near the kitchen. But you didn't really come here to watch sports, right? So grab a menu, believe it when they say "Yes, that is quite spicy" and belly up to some of the best Thai on Federal!

Thanks, Yelp, for finding us another wonderful place to eat. The mobile app brought Suvipa to us at the top of the list, and it's a well-deserved placement. Our party of three had curry puffs (OMG!), coconut broth soup (our favorite, and this definitely did not disappoint), herb grilled chicken with a sweet chili sauce for dipping, curry fried rice with pineapple, and pad Thai woon sen with cellophane noodles, veggies, meats, and tofu. What a fantastic combination! We had enough food for a party of six, and the leftovers even taste great cold. Different staff members including the cook checked on us several times to make sure we were satisfied, and we definitely were. At the end of the meal we were offered complimentary Thai tea or Thai coffee and were so full we had to turn it down. Delicious, fresh Thai food at very reasonable prices. Suvipa is a great place to eat! P.S. We ordered everything spiced medium because one of our group isn't fond of spicy. It was very pleasantly tasty and not at all hot in our opinion, just delicious. Next time my son and I will probably try medium-hot. Another P.S. We got the last two curry puffs that night. Go early if you want curry puffs - and you DO want curry puffs!

Best Thai in Denver (so far) I've tried 10+ Thai places in the area, While I had the typical boring order of (Shrimp) Pad Thai and (Chicken) Drunken Noodle, this place has the best mix of flavor and heat that I've found locally. The food was very bright and fresh, portion sizes were good, and prices were reasonable. Amazing Thai food here

Sorry Yelpers, this time I just didn't see the awesomeness that my brethren have seen and can only go with 3 stars. We tried the curry puffs. They were good but not memorable. My dish was not memorable. I asked for medium spice and it was SOOO MILD. The Panang curry was tasty but not enough to call me back. I was so undewhelmed, I will not likely make the drive back. I may have totally gotten his one wrong, though, so hopefully it was just an off night.

I have been eagerly watching the front window of Suvipa Thai in order to finally see that 'Now Open' sign. I came to Suvipa wanting to love everything about it since I earnestly believe that the ghost of Vietnam Grill still haunts this hallowed hall. Unfortunately, I walked into Suvipa pretty under the weather, but fortunately I found inside a delicious green curry that could cure nearly any ill... except cancer... it probably wouldn't cure cancer. The interior of the restaurant is very plain, but it's such a small space in a run-down Federal strip mall that one probably shouldn't expect anything different. Our server was very bubbly and attentive, and the smells coming out of the open kitchen were divine. The food was terrific, the prices were great, and the experience was excellent. While Suvipa may not overtake US Thai as my #1 Thai restaurant in town, it will absolutely become a usual part of the rotation. Check it out!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Did a quick weekend trip to Denver and had a huge craving for Thai food... not sure why. Heard Denver's food scene was developing, but after trying a few 4-4.5 rated restaurants, was not that impressed. :( SO. We decided to go big and try this 5-star rated restaurant to see if it was justified. AND IT WAS! Appeared to be in Denver's Chinatown? With that said, the interior is your standard Asian restaurant, not super fancy/trendy but clean and spacious. The owners Thai and super welcoming and attentive. - Thai Curry Puff appetizer - reminded me of a slightly sweet samosa. The outside shell is super flaky and buttery. Loved it! - Chicken Tom Yum soup (Medium spicy) - SO GOOD. This was what I was craving and it definitely hit the spot. Tangy, lemony and just the right amount of spicy. Big, chewable pieces of chicken, mushroom and onion. I thought it was great and comes with rice. It was a good appetizer and in-betweener because its light and refreshing. Opened my appetite at the beginning and helped me refresh in between after stuffing myself trying different dishes - Chicken Panang Curry - Creamy, peanut-y and coconut-y and also big chewable pieces of chicken and pepper. What I loved about this dish was how generous they were with the ingredients in the actual curry. The proportion of curry sauce to ingredients were on point. I could drench my rice in curry and not run out and eat chicken with every bite. It's definitely shareable as well. - Chicken Pad Thai - I really liked the pad thai. Its pretty peanut-y. Our chicken pad thai came with tofu pieces as well. The flavor is there and the dish isn't greasy. Few things to note- they ask about how spicy you want the dishes. I like my food super spicy and the medium built up enough heat for me to be satisfied and still enjoy the meal. My friend found the spice a little overwhelming after a while. The dishes are all super huge... share... or just be prepared to take a lot home. I usually never have left overs but the only thing we finished here was the soup.

The food was okay. I ordered drunken noodles and an order of the veggie egg rolls and I have had better. I went with a party of 5 and our food did not come out at the same time. It took about ten minutes from when the first dish was delivered until the last dish was delivered, which makes the dining experience a little uncomfortable.

Excellent food. There are a few of the run-of-the-mill selections on the menu, but all of them are good. There are also items I haven't seen at many other places, like the Thai curry puffs. The red curry is delicious and they don't skimp on the spiciness, so bring a hanky and hunker down!

My son wanted Thai food, we always go to J's noodles down the street but today they were closed. My son was so upset I looked on yelp and found this location nearby. This place was so much better as their pad thai had way more veggies, peanuts and more flavor. We also had the pad see yew which was way better as well. Even my son liked it better. The owner even came by and asked us how we were enjoying our food and conversated a bit. The waitress was on top of the water and whatever we need. Going to tell my whole family to start coming here as I will be switching spots :)

The first time I went here it was much better. The first time, the ingredients tasted very fresh and it seemed like they didn't use additives. The second time, however, the food tasted like that of any other thai place: over seasoned, over salty, over sweet, over everything. Not to mention, I think they were having problems with the sewer.... it smelled very bad.

My wife and I got a carry out from Suvipa Thai last night vegetable pad Thai and mango salad both medium heat which for us was just right. It was our first time here as we don't live in the area but defiantly would go again.

By chance we (2) walked into Suvipa tonight not knowing what to expect. Turns out we found the best Thai restaurant in all of Denver (as rated by the three Thai gents sitting at the next table). The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. We has Curry Pastry Puff appetizers (3), one order of Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Thai Iced Tea (3), Green Papaya Salad, Vegetables in Peanut Sauce, Chicken Pad Thai and a trio of deserts (Sticky Rice, Fresh Mango and Custard). Needless to say we overate and had half our entrees to go. All for around $40. Highly recommended!

I have only been once and had the Beef noodle bowl. The broth was full of flavor and I would put it up against any of the Pho in the neighborhood. It was basically a beef noodle soup. There were Lots of different flavors going on that made it a very enjoyable meal. The only thing I thought was not great about it was the "meat balls" they were spongy and chewy and really had no flavor. After eating a few of them I had no idea what they were made of and decided to stick with the rest of the items. It was a hearty serving of beef, noodles and veggies and was a perfect for lunch on a chilly day. Will definitely be back to try other items. Service was good and was also fairly speedy which is perfect for lunch. Check this place out, think you will dig it.

My new favorite Thai restaurant! Ingredients are fresh. You can tell they really take their time to cook each individual order instead of combining multiple of the same order into one cooking! With patience come good food! Service is nice, but a little bit slow if they get really busy! Just be patient! Like most Asian strip mall on Federal. Parking sucks!!!

Oh man, where to start. I got there at around 6:30pm on a Monday, maybe 2 or 3 tables taken (its a small place). Got fish cakes, Tom Yum fish soup, Pad Thai with chicken and tofu, and Pineapple fried rice with shrimp - spice level Hot (of course). AMAZING! Everything was perfection. The Tom Yum soup was my favorite, just the taste of the lemongrass was so delicious. I definitely recommend this place, but definitely keep in mind when ordering, just try to do a level down from what you're comfortable with. Hot, I would just try medium and order chili on the side. Just in case.

First of all, I just want to say that I am former child refugee from Burma and I was raised in Thailand, specifically Mae Sot and Bangkok. My family resides in Chiang Mai, Mae Sariang, and Mae Sot. I go there every chance I can. This restaurant is clean, locally own and operated. It's not exactly in a nice neighborhood but if you want the goods, you got to be willing to go there. This place is sincerely authentic. I had herb chicken (picture below) with sticky rice, sukiyaki (Thai version of Japanese dish) and my boyfriend had Panang curry. They were all delish and tasted very close to what I've had in Thailand. I won't be going to J's Noodles Thai or US Thai Cafe anymore.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants outside of BKK, Thailand, seriously! Incredible fresh authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. May I suggest Suvipa's Thai Iced tea, papaya salad (it's spicy!), curry puff, coconut soup, and massaman curry..next time your in Denver?

Favorite new Thai place now. Cheap and good food, you can't beat that. Love the panang curry and fish with 3 flavor sauce.

The best Thai food I have had in a long time, and possibly the best I have ever eaten! Curries and definitely made from a in house created paste. The styles are very rich and a little thicker than standard. I really enjoyed both the Panang and the green, we also had some Thom kha, coconut soup. A little less sweet than I am used to but, absolutely fabulous. Staff was warm and top notch. You really feel like a friend having dinner in their home. Not a fancy restaurant by any stretch, but I tend to latch on to the underdog joints with spectacular food. Prices were shockingly low, like 7.50 a curry. You will not leave hungry! For the best international food go straight to Federal or Alameda, do not pass go.

If you think you like Thai food then check out this place. Truly authentic, well balanced and affordable Thai food with fast service. Tried their Lad-na, Pad Thai with glass noodle and Massaman curry dishes pleased my picky dang darn palate! So happy that we have genuine Thai food here in Denver finally!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant our group was looking for turned out to be closed, so we drove down the street to try out Suvipa's. We were not disappointed. The chicken satay was delicious and so was the peanut dipping sauce. I ordered the spicy beef with kaffir lime leaves as my dinner and it really was spicy and very, very good. Atmosphere is about what you'd expect from the area / strip mall it's in, but the food is worth it. Reasonably priced, good service. Definitely worth a try.

Pretty simple from me - outstanding papaya salad that is nice and funky! It's got Thai eggplants, plenty of fish sauce, and that delicious blend of sweet, sour and umami that goes well beyond the all too boring versions found else where. Staff is incredibly friendly, and as the restaurant is still new (not busy) you even find the cooking staff hanging out with clientele. Excited to explore more of the menu!

I am always on the hunt for amazing green curry. The Green Curry at Suvipa is amazing. The mild has just enough heat for me and I can usually handle medium hot on most other things on the menu. My boyfriend loves Thai hot, I watched him eat something that was thai hot and his face got all red, he loved it. It is often a challenge to find him very hot food, I am convinced of the dullness of his taste buds. I also really enjoyed the curry puffs and the Pad Thai. I have eaten here 3 times and I will continue to eat here.

Been to Suvipa twice now, and both times everything was so fresh and tasty. Been to a lot of Thai places in a few different cities and Suvipa really impressed me. The veggies are super fresh and it's not overly salty like some places. The flavors are authentic and so rich tasting and we haven't had a bad thing on the menu. We tried the egg rolls, spicy beef, pad thai, coconut soup and a few other items I don't remember how to spell or pronounce but they were fantastic! The restaurant itself is small, clean, but nothing fancy. It's in a strip mall on Federal that most people would drive right by, but don't! Stop at Suvipa because it's awesome! In addition to the phenomenal food the price can't be beat. For 2 people with drinks and appetizer ran us 24 bucks. What's not to love!!

Pad Thai is great. It's a very unassuming place, whole in the wall type but very good food. The service is fine and the good is great, that's really all I need.

I was thoroughly impressed. Very sweet, kind staff, clean place, and the food was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. I would recommend the coconut soup, the chicken satay, the steamed mussels (huge!!!), and the grilled beef. I will definitely be back, this place rocks.

I had the best Panang curry I've ever had at Supiva Thai food today. It's Christmas, my wife and I decide we should have Vietnamese food since we're driving down South Federal after visiting with family. The Vietnamese place's parking lot is totally full. I spot Supiva Thai Food across the street and we decide Thai sounds really great and there's parking! I couldn't be happier we ended up here. There was an authenticity to the food here I've never tasted before. The Panang curry I've had before was a dish with similar flavors, but this took it to a much deeper more complex level that I've ever had. I ordered it with fish and it wasn't just some flakes of fish, no, this was a fish fillet sliced into strips and pan sauteed to crisp it up before being added to the lovely curry and vegetables. My wife ordered the green curry with chicken, which I've never tried, and it was also a joy to the palate, with wedges of fresh green figs. Needless to say, I will be back. even though I live 145 blocks north. I want to try everything on the menu so I can see what I've been missing from the other times I've had Thai food.

Authentic Thai food! Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Colorado. Everything we ordered was so delicious. From the potato puff(so flavorful), to the chicken pad Thai (the perfect balance between sweet ,salty and sour). We also ordered the chili fried rice (once I add a tiny bit of fish sauce all the flavor came out) but it was so spicy ( medium heat). Overall, great experience, felt like I was brought to Thailand . Will be back very sooooon!

Great spot for lunch! My family was just passing though Denver and decided to try this out after seeing it on Yelp. Definitely a good choice! Everything was flavorful and delicious! We ordered the Coconut chicken soup, the Thai basil with chicken, seafood soup (I forget the Thai name but it had mussels, shrimp, abalone, and scallops), garlic pepper pork ribs, and green curry. All of this was plenty for 2 adults, 3 teenagers, and 1 child and we took home some leftovers. We ordered everything as "medium" spiciness and it was HOT! It cleared up congestion I didn't even know I had! Thankfully, the waitress was very good about refilling water and rice for us. Overall, this was a wonderful, flavorful experience and I would definitely recommend Suvipa Thai!

This place certainly saved me for my progressive restaurant dinner. Too many ethnic restaurants are closed Tuesdays. I started with the curry puff as I waited for people. That was a really good decision. Great shell, coconut milk, delicious potatoes (or something similar). Then I ordered some spicy fried rice. Vegetables, meat, rice, all good, very additive, hard to pace myself for what was to come. Well done.

Today was a day for Thai food. At least in my mind. I wanted- no, I needed drunken noodles. So... I had my husband drive us out for a late lunch at another Thai place we'd never been too. Sadly, we found it was closed on Sundays. *Face palm for not checking* I was so depressed, perhaps even inconsolable before being coaxed to settle for Hong Kong BBQ or Star Kitchen, closer to where we live. (Nothing bad on them, I LOVE them. It's just when you want something, sometimes nothing else will do.) We parked and prepared to go inside either Hong Kong BBQ or Star Kitchen when I saw it; A beautiful sign across Federal Blvd. "SUVIPA THAI FOOD" it read. I could have cried, I was so happy. Naturally, I begged my husband to drive across the street so we could eat there instead. Happily, he agreed. The interior is quaint and comfortable. Pretty standard Thai restaurant decor. Somewhat small inside, so I bet it might be tough to get a table at more standard lunch and dinner hours. I got the Drunken Noodles with shrimp and medium spicy. He got the Green Curry with shrimp and ordered it "thai hot". Our food came out reasonably fast and piping hot. I was delighted to see that they use Chinese broccoli, which I love. On the spicy level, I found myself wishing I had ordered mine "thai hot' as well but the flavor was fantastic enough that I (a 5'4, 125 lb girl) ate the entire damn thing. And I did so want leftovers. I seriously just couldn't stop. My husband got a big kick out of me eating an entire plate of noodles by myself. It was $8.95 by the way. Big portion, lots of shrimp. My husband said he would have liked a little more spiciness as well. His green curry however, was rich and delicious, just sweet enough. They even use little Thai eggplants! (also my favorite! So small! So cute!) His curry was $8.50. Service was great too, but we were the only two people in the place at 2:30 on a Sunday during a Broncos game (which was on) so... I'm sure it's great all the time anyways. Our water glasses where never empty and the lady who served us was so sweet and friendly. All in all since it's about five minutes away/delicious/awesome, we will most certainly be back again and again! In fact, I still have time to go back tonight...

Great place for those who loves healthy thai food. Great service and great taste. If you like hot and spicy, try everything 'hot'! You can see the kitchen is clean through the window. Definitely will return for more!

I love Thai food and have eaten at many, many Thai restaurants in Denver, Suvipa Thai is my current favorite. It is excellent. We had massaman curry, tom yum soup shrimp and pad thai, all were excellent. If you like hot food I'd order hot, we ordered medium and should have ordered hot.

I've eaten at Suvipa a hand full of times and have never been disappointed. Between my boyfriend and I, we've ordered the Tom Ka, crispy pork, pineapple fried ice, curry fried rice, pad Thai, curry puffs, pad se ew, and chicken satay. Delicious!! Highly recommend Suvipa!!

I ordered the grilled chicken with steamed rice and sweet and sour sauce, I get a cup of sweet and sour sauce and half a grilled chicken bone and everything, with one of the bones cut in half and blood leaking out, not really what I had envisioned when I ordered it. The dark meat part of the chicken was good, but I did not care much for the white meat part of the chicken, to soggy. My wife ordered Papaya Salad, which she said was delicious. If you like more authentic Thai food this is not a bad place, but I wasn't thrilled with my grilled chicken dish

I've eaten here a few times now, and the food keeps me coming back for more. The curry puffs are unique and flavorful. The drunken noodles are perfectly cooked and the prices are beyond reasonable for the quantity of food. This place is definitely worth the stop if you are cruising Federal or just craving some real thai food.

Wow this is my new best Thai restaurant in the Denver area, but J's Noodles is close! Had amazing Thai iced coffee, curry puffs for appetizer, the best green curry, chicken Pad Thai & sticky rice with mango. Worth the drive to Federal & totally earned the best of Denver Thai restaurant in Westwood 2015. Great way to celebrate my husband's birthday & he was thrilled with his "Thai Hot" green curry dish! Must go back to try the papaya salad, drunken noodles & grilled beef!

Super authentic. This is the REAL thing, unlike the over-priced corporate franchise competitors ! "Thai Hot" spicy just how I like my Thai food. I was in the mood for something spicy and healthy after my workout. I didn't feel like cooking, so Suvipa's quick and quality service solved my "what's for dinner?" question. The price is right here: I don't feel guilty eating out here because it's such a good value. Usually I have leftovers, which are great for lunch or dinner tomorrow. They are so nice here and I love the lovely clean environment. Can't wait to bring my family.

Crispy basil chicken was ok. My boyfriend ordered drunken noodles with pork that were amazing! Only down side is that they don't serve alcohol.

Thai food is my favorite. After spending time in Thailand and dining in Thai restaurants stateside where reservations two and three weeks in advance are required to get a table, I have become familiar with different interpretations of classic dishes. After reading about Suvipa and the "best of" award they received, I called to find out if they can prepare some of their dishes without fish sauce (I eat a vegetarian diet). Upon confirmation I went there for lunch and ordered drunken noodles. Drunken noodles and Thai hot green curry (difficult to find without fish/shrimp in the curry paste) are my go to references for entrees. As such, I am able only to comment on the drunken noodles at Suvipa (which may or may not be their best preparation). The noodles were properly cooked, not too starchy, with the right amount of oil and almost the right amount of spice to qualify for a "medium" heat level. I often choose medium for noodle dishes and find most Thai restaurants in the states are shy about serving American diners an authentic dose of spice. The food tasted clean, albeit I missed the overall freshness that can make a Thai meal come to life. (Maybe a touch more basil would have helped. . . ?) The server was kind and attentive (typical of the culture), and my experience a good one. Maybe Suvipa is a "best of" and I just happened to be there on an off day? I'll likely return for another meal, and if better will comment. If it is less so, I won't comment and will chalk it up, to what for them, may have been a truly off day. The honor for best of, as per my experience, continues to remain with J's Noodles and New Thai for the most authentic and flavorful food I have found in Denver (albeit they have yet to make available a vegetarian green curry. . . ) I consider three stars respectable according to Yelp's scale, where it means "A-OK."

Authentic, great tasting food! It's a small place with about 20-30 seats. The prices for the entrees are very reasonable with decent portions. We chose this place while out house hunting and we were not disappointed! The parking lot is not the best, but I can't fault the restaurant for that. It is a little awkward in that you should probably enter the lot from Federal Boulevard southbound since the parking is directional. As a first generation Thai-American, I can verify that this is the food of my people . We will definitely come back to try more!

Got takeout from here on Sunday the food ROCKED!! as usual although I should have asked for Mild Curry....Very Good but too spicy for me. That was my fault not the restaurant. They make everything good. Eating Thai anywhere else is a sin...lol, lol, lol

Finally, an authentic Thai spot in Denver. I've been to Thailand twice and love Thai food but am somewhat picky about Thai food in the US, since much of it lacks integrity and authenticity of that region. Went in for lunch earlier this week and had the shrimp paste fried rice and papaya salad - both were delicious but the papaya salad was standout. We ordered take out tonight. My girlfriend has the pad thai with chicken and I had the beef noodles soup. Both were very good but the beef noodle soup might be my new favorite dish. Thick cuts of tender beef, served in an aromatic, sweet broth -- lots of garlic, and over thin rice noodles. Can't wait to try out some of the other dishes like crispy pork.

What a rescue for our trip to CO! Found this little place on Yelp and decided to give a try after the raving reviews. I am glad that I made that decision! We ordered Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Ginger beef. All of them taste great! Authentic Thai food from my point of view. Plus portions are large and prices are cheap! Will definitely come back if I had another chance to visit Denver.

Best Thai food EVER. Everything they make is delicious. They can make it mild or spicy. I can't rave enough about this place. If you haven't tried it, Please do.

We were really disappointed with this restaurant! The flavor was okay, but the portion size was SO small. We had about 4 pieces of chicken in one dish and the other dish we ordered as beef didn't have any in it! Unfortunately we took the food to go, otherwise we would've asked for meat that we paid for and ordered. I wouldn't waste my money going there again.

food is good, prices are really good! been craving some khao kluk kapi (shrimp paste fried rice). not an easy dish to find in denver metro. woody's in westminster also has it. prefer this place's khao kluk kapi. it is a strong flavored fried rice surrounded by toppings, where you get to customize at the table to taste. Want sweet, add the sweet pork. Want spicy, add the chili. Want sour, add the mango/apple. i am by no means a thai food expert, but that is what i've been told the way to eat the dish. gai yang (grilled chicken) was pretty good; a little dry. all of the food was great value. enough interesting things on the menu that warrant many future visits. i already know what i'd like to try next time, pad ped pla dook! great addition to an already vibrant food street.

I saw their sign from federal, and was intrigued so I checked them out on yelp...I found they had almost all 5 star reviews! So I had to go check it out myself. The food couldn't have been more authentic! We had the chicken satay, Tom kah, papaya salad, the sesame pork and 2 orders of pad Thai. We took a lot home, but we couldn't have been more pleased. Sort of a hole in the wall, but what they lack in cosmetics they make up for in deliciousness. With all the so-so thai in town, don't miss this one. I'll be back for sure! ...especially because you get a free entree every 5th visit :)
