I used to work upstairs from the Supreme Bean. (To whomever couldn't find other eateries near the courthouse: You were SURROUNDED by eateries!) Peg sounds kind of intimidating on the phone, but, it's just her voice. The staff are super friendly and they make your food to order. BONUS: the ABSOLUTE BEST MOST PERFECT BLT on sourdough EVER!!!!! Seriously. I've done extensive field study and informal polls and we all agree.

I'm at the courthouses a lot due to my, ahem, profession. One of the downsides to this is the lack of readily available food options (other than the tourist-trap chain crap down on the 16th Street Mall, which I don't have time to walk to anyways). Subway makes my stomach church and Quizno's is only slightly better. I have a parking spot three blocks away so getting in the car, cruising away to get something to eat (plus finding parking), consuming the food, and getting back within an hour (and oftentimes less) is not feasible. (This is ridiculous, by the way - the amount of people who come and go to the courthouses + the amount of employees and lawyers who are there every day is a pretty ripe customer base.) Enter Supreme Bean. First off, I've only ever had lunch here - never tried their coffee or coffee drinks, although I wouldn't hesitate to if I had time to pop by in the mornings. Supreme Bean isn't going to blow your mind, but that's not what they're there for. They offer actual cooked-to-order food in the minuscule food desert that surrounds the Denver government buildings. Sometimes I just don't want a shit sandwich made with week-old ingredients... so I pop over to Supreme Bean and voila, a meatloaf lunch. They also offer all the standards like burgers, grilled cheese, and burritos. Ignore the suspicious-looking drifters idling outside and occasional crazy person who wanders in... they're relatively harmless.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and reminiscent of Cheers but in cafe clothing. They know you, make suggestions and are always glad to see you. The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast burrito. They run great specials everyday which is always something to look forward to.

I work right next to this place at a law firm. Most of the people in our firm go here, especially since there aren't a lot of food choices around, and the ones that are conveniently close (vs walking 3-4 blocks) are all chains. They are definitely a mom and pop, local cafe, with home cookin'! They have specials every day, and they are good!! They seem to be very much a community cafe. They know my name, and call me by it when I go in. Some of my co-workers go here everyday or multiple times/day! I go about 1x/week. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos and breakfast bagel sandwiches! Soo good. They have really good lunch deals, and it's pretty basic food offerings...Mexican, sandwiches, brats/hot-dogs, salads... They have some good lunch deals, a grilled cheese, bag of chips, and soda for $5. Not bad! Their coffee bar selection is really good too. I normally get a double-shot Americano or Cappuccino ($2) and a turkey breakfast burrito w/vegetarian green chile. :) Definitely check them out if you're in the area and hungry! :) Kinda pricey overall, but hey, it's downtown.

I have been a loyal customer of the Supreme Bean for almost five years now. The owner, Peggy, is a wonderful, generous woman who gives exceptional customer service. From coffee to full meals, the Supreme Bean offers a great variety of beverages and food. Peggy's panini sandwiches are excellent, as is the homemade chicken salad. You can order either ala carte or get one of the lunch specials. The breakfast burritos are very good as well. I'd recommend the Supreme Bean to anyone working in the Minoru Yasui building, or to tourists and visitors as well, who may be looking for a bite to eat before or after touring the Denver Mint. I hope you enjoy the Supreme Bean as much as I do!

Four stars on my scale of humble breakfast eateries squeezed into tiny spaces. Great little mom n pop eatery convenient to the civil court buildings. The breakfast burrito was freshly prepared and scrumptious. There's a pretty long menu of breakfast and lunch options. The drip coffee was perfectly adequate - they had regular and dark brews. Powdered creamer was a disappointment, but honestly I didn't inquire about cream, so maybe they have that too? Service was personable and accommodating. It's a small cafe with just a handful of tables to sit at, so if there's a crowd, seating may be hard to find. I look forward to eating here again, but hopefully not coinciding with a visit to traffic court ;-)

Had jury today and had no idea where to go for lunch. Seriously why aren't there more places to eat near the courthouse? I was walking towards the 16th street mall hoping I had enough time for nourishment. Where are food trucks when you need them when Supreme Bean Cafe caught my eye. I peered in at this tiny spot and decided to give it a go. I figured I would at least end up with a bag of chips at the worst. I ordered the grilled cheese which was promptly prepared. I was a tad disappointed to find it wasn't very robust. I do believe only one piece of cheese was used on the whole sandwich. It just wasn't very big or very filling. The mom and pop behind the counter were sweat enough and they did have a large rush hour at lunch. I do believe it may have more to do with their convenient location rather than the quality of their sandwiches.

There's not much to not like about Supreme Bean Cafe -- it's ran by two strong lovely ladies, affordable breakfast prices, and it's a great people watching destination. Supreme Bean Cafe is housed in the same building as the Denver Probation offices so the range of people drastically differs. I got the $6.50 huervos rancheros (eggs, cheese, green chili, beans, home fries, 2 tortillas) and $1.75 large drip coffee.

Nothing fancy here, just simple, good, food, in this reasonably inexpensive mom and pop restaurant.

Missed our first tour to the US mint so we grabbed breakfast while waiting. The smothered burritos are delicious! Potatoes are thinly sliced and a little crunchy, eggs were fluffy, and the chili had great flavor and just enough heat. Definitely worth stopping in.

We stopped by in our rush to get food before touring the Mint. To our surprise, this place was pretty busy and was filled with what seemed to be loyal customers. We split the Turkey Bacon Wrap and a diet coke. Because this is a mom&pop shop, it was just mom&pop taking orders and making the food, so don't be surprised if they ask you to wait to take your order (while they finish making the previous customer's order). The wrap was simple with simple ingredients (tortilla, lettuce, mayo, turkey and bacon), but satisfying. The pop was super nice, continually telling us that it would just be another minute...i like when people keep you informed in order to manage your expectations. They def met our expectations. This couple was so nice, that they even let us hold our phones there while we went on the mint tour since you can't bring in phones with cameras.

I love the Supreme Bean Cafe Denver. Working in the area I have many options to eat. However, the simple, down-home cooking and excellent customer service keep me coming back. The menu is simple but eclectic. Supreme Bean is always innovating with daily specials and classic favorites. The prices are affordable and the service is friendly.
