This is a cute tiny brunch place. We started with coffee which was fine. My husband got the "Good Night"which was absolutely delicious!!! Anything sandwiched in between two grilled cheeses is amazing!!!!! I wish I got this dish. I got the "Pork Belly Po Boy" which was not bad but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I'd go back to get the "Good Night!"

Sunnys food is organic which is the big big plus for me. The wait is typical for brunch spots, not outrageous though. Food has been spotty for us, once way too much salt, other times good not amazing. It's expensive but the ingredients is quality so it's worth it. The service is sllllloowww, kitchen gets "backed up" && they're learning a new computer system. Have your patient pants on:]

Excellent service, and the food was tasty and traditiinal. The restaurant was cute and homely.

Been there twice. Had the Mangia and Pork Belly Po'Boy. Both were delicious! This place is really busy, so expect a long wait for a table and food after ordering.

Decent food, 40 minute wait for breakfast after ordered -with several empty tables in restaurant. Waitress dropped check with food, guess we were done...

Awesome menu. Creative specials. Attentive, accommodating staff. I had the roasted asparagus, tomato and mozzarella scramble, along with a single blueberry pancake and everything was outstanding. The homemade strawberry jam is also wonderful. The dining room is pretty small, but there's coffee while you wait and with a party of 8, they were still able to fit us in fairly quickly. Great experience!

Being a Sunday and going for a late breakfast. Well after waiting 35 minutes for a table. We sat down perused the menu. Placing our food order. Waiting patiently our food arrived roughly an hour later our order arrived. Now the temperature of the dishes we ordered were just warm not fresh hot or even close. Including the hollandaise sauce. Moving beyond this tidbit and our servers lack of attentiveness. The food taste and quality is extremely delicious. From the hollandaise sauce to the pork green chili including the bacon. However to myself and the others in my party all agree that as good as the food is here, it's not worth the other trials and tribulations you go through to get it. If we decide to return it'd only be when they're not busy.

I am so happy to find a place that does not always have an hour wait. Now don't all go rushing at once. The menu is amazing to look at and a fresh food choice for everyone. Some of the food choices were so epic. I had a double decker grilled cheese with an egg, avocado, and cheese. OMG so amazing!! We also had the Po'Boy! I could not decide which was better. My plan: to eat everything on the menu at lease once!!

Amazing!!!! I had this Italian veggie breakfast dish which was divine and if I lived here would come back for it again. Not too far from the highway. Cozy little place with great coffee too. Great find!

Great little neighborhood place. Good service and portions for the price! We will definitely be back!!

Awesome service - awesome food - try the GF PBcup pancake! And the green chili! Loved that we had coffee while we waited for our table. Really good price! We will definitely be regulars living in the neighborhood!

I have been to Sunnys twice now. The first time I ordered to go food on the phone and picked it up. The food was really good, but they forgot my acai bowl, which was actually the whole reason I chose this place to begin with. But whatever, I called and they said the next time I came in I wouldn't have to pay for it. The rest of the food, especially the potatoes was really good. This morning we went back again to try eating there. We got to the restaurant at 12:30 with our dog to eat outside. I was told 10-15 minutes to wait for a table, no problem. It's Sunday in the middle of brunch. However it was more of a 25 minute wait, watching four dirty tables sit open just because no one was cleaning them. We finally got sat and the host brought us a bottle of water. We drank the whole thing and she brought us another. We drank the whole thing. The server didn't make it over to our table until 15 minutes after we got sat, didn't apologize once and proceeded to be rude and abrupt with us. We decided to get food to go because it was so hot outside. We were told 12-15 minutes on food. And the food took almost 45 minutes to get to us. To be fair, the food probably did only take 12-15 minutes. It definitely tasted like it sat for the other half hour. And the forgot my order of potatoes, making it the second time in a row they didn't give me my whole order, paying for food I didn't receive. I called and was rudely offered to come back in another time but I won't be back.

Our family had an early breakfast here yesterday soon after they opened so we were the only table at first. Instead of finishing opening routines, our server came over and chit chatted with us for a bit while bringing coffee. While we aren't huge fans of Dazbag, it was just after 7 and coffee was a must. It was nice to feel welcomed and talked to instead of being the only ones in the place and being ignored while they were gearing up to start their day. Other guests quickly trickled in and our server was still attentive to us and made sure we had refills/drinks while we waited for our food. I got the Nutty Waffle and my husband had blueberry pancakes. Nothing phenomenal, but definitely nothing to complain about. We'd definitely go again for the good food and good service because it's in our neighborhood, but if this was across town, we might frequent it a little less just because it lacks that "wow" factor. Long story short- it's above average in our book, yet not a "must" when friends/family come to visit.

This place was a great find! Went here with brother and sister in law (who knows the owner). You never know what you will get with that type of situation, but we were dramatically and pleasantly surprised! Everything, from the organic coffee to the side of humanely raised antibiotic free pork belly, was top of the line. The daily special was a cheddar and green chile scramble with a sausage gravy, which was awesome. I seriously cannot say enough about this place. It is our new goto breakfast place!

  • Shaina S.

This breakfast place is great! I had the hipster sunny and it was sooooo good! 9:45 on a Saturday morning and there was no wait. They have great vegetarian and gluten free options. Street parking was available and free. They have a couple tables outside. Service was good and the restaurant is clean and bright with natural light.

Really good food and a cool little spot with some outdoor tables. I live right around the corner and dig this place. My only knock would be that its a little pricey for breakfast.

  • Courtney M.

Pleasantly surprised there was not a line when we arrived at 9:30 on Saturday morning. We walked right in and there were several open tables - 45 mins later this was not the case, however with the nice weather customers waited outside and enjoyed the sun! We both ordered the Hipster - I however canceled the veggie sausage on mine and added the Canadian bacon back in. It was great. Our service was all great, staff was very attentive, even when we asked last minute for peanut butter/chocolate pancakes to go!

My friend who lives in California gave me her Groupon for this place so it ended up being a free meal, luckily. I ordered the Delish Benedict with scrambled eggs since I absolutely hate runny yolk. I guess I just wanted to try a Benedict (my first time) but bad decision. I didn't like the hollandaise sauce. At least now I know I won't ever order benedicts. My friend ordered a sandwich which he enjoyed. I may or may not come back. But the menu isn't really that big or special. No biscuits and gravy either.

We went there as a party of 5 adults and two kids under 7. The place is on the small and cozy side and we got lucky that we had just beat the rush and got a table. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The kids ordered hot cocoa that took a while to get to the table (not that we even noticed) but only because they had to make up a fresh batch of whipped cream. Who would complain? The adults had to conduct quality control on the cocoa and confirmed that it was awesome and kid friendly by not being scalding hot. I ordered the "big breakfast" which lived up to its name with 2 pieces of bacon AND 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs and a waffle. I also upgraded my waffle to the Cannoli waffle. Unless you're from the east coast you're probably not familiar with Cannolis. You should do your taste buds a favor and get familiar. When they are good, they are so very good, and Sunnys puts some very good Cannoli filling on top of their cannnoli waffles. I could have used some more, but that is because I'm greedy and love a good cannoli. The waffle also has chocolate chips, pistachio nuts and crumbled cannoli shell on top. Very rich and delicious! We ordered a pancake and an order of bacon for the kids to share. The waitress was on it and divided the pancake and bacon before bringing it to the table. This is much appreciated as it saves the total anarchy that occurs when one kid thinks he got screwed over because his mom gave more to the other. My sister ordered Latke and eggs and scarfed it down. It's safe say that she would order it again. There are so many yummy things on the menue there that you have to keep going back in order to try them all. Highly recommended!!

This place is bomb! Delicious organic breakfast place located near 44th and Zuni. If you are in the area, you will definitely want to check this place out. Open from 7-2pm. I highly recommend the unique scramble plates and smoothies. Check it out! You will not regret it!

Love Sunny's! A great eclectic menu, and I believe the owner is the cook?! Liked the attention to detail on all the menu items. We've been there 3 times and each time it has been delicious. HIghly recommend the Latkes and the Mangia. Coffee is a strong selling point too, love this place! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality breakfast with little to no wait time and won't break the bank!

Passing through and decided to eat here. Was a very delicious and filling breakfast! We let the waitress make us a suprise drink and it was awesome. The food was great.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We didn't actually eat here. $2.50 for maybe 4 ounces of juice - NO REFILLS! For an adult?!?!? $8 for a kids meal?!?!? Not worth it! Too many good options in this area for me to justify spending my money or time here! Then to give us an attitude when we say we're leaving? No, thank you!

I just finished breakfast with 2 friends and it was my favorite meal in a long time. We got the Aji and two Delishes. The Aji was out of this world - the salsa was absolutely to die for, and the Hollandaise was just as awesome. The potato pancakes, chorizo, Hollandaise, salsa, and eggs were such a great combination. I definitely recommend the Aji 100%. The Delish eaters say they would've never ever thought of the combo of pancakes, sunny side up eggs, maple syrup, and sausage but that it was DELICIOUS. the service was also spot on. I hope i make it back to Denver someday to visit this place again.

Really good food, casual atmosphere, and accessible. When I'm thinking of grabbing brunch, this is always my go-to. I like their coffee too, it's nice when even the coffee somewhere is really good. There are two Snooze's within easy walking distance of my apartment, and I can get in my car, drive to Sunny's and be seated faster...for now. Sunny's charm is that it doesn't feel exclusive. You just show up, drink some coffee and have a good meal, easy-peasy.

  • Kayla X.

This cute little brunch spot offers a great twist on your traditional favorites. I got the Aji Benedict with homemade chorizo and salsa on a Peruvian potato cake. I also noticed latkes on the menu for which I will get next time. The atmosphere is wide open and tall ceilings with gorgeous hanging plants/vines. I will say it was loud. With the open floor plan I could easily get distracted by the other table's conversation. Overall though, great location within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

The place is tiny for sure, but we were quoted a 25 minute wait and only waited 15, so that's cool. I got the basic breakfast with a waffle. DEAR GOD! Best waffle ever! I ate the majority of it with just butter the syrup wasn't even necessary. The potatoes were flavorful and not overly salty. My scrambled eggs were cooked 'hard' which is exactly how I like 'em. I also ordered a hot chocolate and thought about asking for it to be less sweet and I'm glad I didn't. It was the perfect sweetness, not too sweet. Ze boyfriend got the some preposterous breakfast sandwich that had two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. It was so good but guilt inducing. Go here NOW, well tomorrow for brunch, do it, do it now.

Really good food and great service! We both got the 2 egg breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. Over medium and actually cooked that way can be difficult but they were great.

Sooo yummy. I had the Rhody with the spiced apples. Sweet place.

  • Paula K.

This isn't your typical breakfast place. Lots of creative dishes bursting with flavor (without the pretentious price) and they also offer the standard two egg plates for the less adventurous. They know how to cook bacon (thick and crunchy)so that is an automatic five stars in my book. My husband ordered the Rhody and although he was skeptical he raved about it. I ordered the standard two egg breakfast. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the yolks were large and a true over-easy (not the over medium that many places try to pass off as over-easy). I was underwhelmed by the potatoes but don't really care because everything else was so good. The service was attentive and we were even asked if we wanted a refill of coffee to go as we were headed out.

I found this place through yelp since we were in the area and thought we would give it a try because the pictures and the reviews were great. It was a great first time here, even better than our expectations. The service was friendly and attentive. The place is nicely decorated and has good music playing. The food was spot on, just what I want from a breakfast or brunch place. The menu is a new take on breakfast favorites and beyond satisfying! Thanks for a great breakfast, we are sure to return with friends and family.

Service was a little slow but wasn't really a big deal as it was a beautiful day and I had nothing to do lol... But the food was awesome and it was probably the best berry smoothie I have ever had! I strongly recommend trying them! They are dairy free and amazing!

  • Jennifer M.

This place is like the secret Snooze, but without booze. I did not miss the booze, as my food was delicious and the food excellent. Very friendly service too. I had the pork belly scramble special, which was one of the best scrambles I've had in a long time. I would have preferred the green chile they served on top to be a bit spicier, but not everyone likes their spice level 'third degree burns on the inside' spicy, so I can't really fault them for that. It was still very flavorful. The pork belly and potatoes were great as well. My husband got the buttermilk pancakes and huevos rancheros, but they were gone before I got a chance to try, so I'll say they were probably good as well. The best part about Sunny's... no lines!

Our restaurant was closed today so I got on yelp to find something near us and decided to give Sunny's a shot. I'm glad our restaurant was closed because had it not we never would of discovered Sunny's. I got to say the food is AMAZING! Definitely coming back and bringing the whole family. Love that it's organic!!

Easily my favorite new brunch place in Denver! The staff is super nice and attentive. The food is delicious and well thought out. There are a ton of vegetarian options too. I've gotten the Good Night twice now and it's hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! (and I've eaten a lot of bfast sandos) The place is open with big windows and small tables. It feels like you're eating at your best friend's house. I will definitely be going to Sunny's again and again. Love this place and the nice people that work there!

  • Justin H.

We had the corned beef hash and the grilled cheese Benedict. Food was really tasty! This was our fourth time eating at Sunny's and I've been impressed every time. They serve real maple syrup with their delicious waffles. The blueberry pancake I had last time was delicious as well. Thanks for the consistently tasty grub, Sunny's!

    (5)
  • Megan H.

I must miss Hash - it was reflected in my order of the Corned Beef Hash. Loved the homemade strawberry jam - but absolutely hated the corned beef hash. It looked exactly like it came from the can at Safeway. That might attribute to the 'tin' taste. Potatoes weren't bad, but found them to be ... Meh. The Daz Bog was the highlight of the meal.

    (2)
  • Kate M.

I think Sunny's could do very well. Their menu has a lot of good options for all different kinds of tastes. Waffles/pancakes, all kinds of creative egg dishes, oatmeal originals, etc. The food is fresh and much organic. They also serve Doz Bog coffee which is a nice change to the usual brands promoted in the area.

Two grilled cheese sandwiches with breakfast in between?? Unbeatable. A great brunch gem that I will definitely be back to.

    (5)
  • Jessica C.

When my plate arrived, I didn't want to touch it because the presentation was fabulous! The food spoke for itself. I was very impressed with everything. Our server was very nice and tentative. The owner was in the kitchen and he wasn't there to breathe down the cooks' necks, he was the cook! How cool is that!! Definitely visit!!!

I love this new restaurant in our hood. We've been several times now and the breakfast is wonderfully fresh and tasty. I'm gluten-free and have to say Sunnies has the best GF pancakes I've had.

We arrived at noon on a Wednesday so it was fairly empty (great for me and my friend). Waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a plain Jane waffle, my friend double buttermilk pancakes. Food came out quickly. Everything was delicious.

Great waffles! Light yet crunchy. Just the way I like them. Great atmosphere. We went on a Saturday morning before 8:30, and walked right in, but by the time we left, only two small tables were open. Definitely returning.

  • Cheese L.

Really love this place and go there at least once a weekend. The food is really good, they have the best almond milk lattes in town. Why it's getting 4 stars instead of 5? The service is atrosious. It takes SO long to get your order placed and don't even get me started on how long it takes to get your check. They are always packed, but come on, hire a few more servers.

  • Annalise O.

Busy and lively on the Sunday we visited. Staff was very nice and they were turning tables quickly. They were great about my gluten free requests and offer gluten free toast. They also have dairy free and veggie options in addition... A big plus! Had the latkes and hubby had the 'good night' - a huge breakfast sandwich with house made chorizo. Everything was fresh and delicious! Will definitely go back.

Wonderful people, super menu and such a casual and friendly atmosphere. Menu is almost fully organic, with many GF options. Chef is the owner so all you need to do is ask:)) up and coming neighborhood so check it out for Breakfast!

So pumped Sunny's has just come to the area. Fun and unique food combinations, clean space, and good service. I had the Rhody, which had pork belly, eggs, and spiced apples - benedict style. So good! Will be back.

Just tried this new breakfast spot after replacing Hash. Excellent. The food was delicious, and I can't wait to come back to try other menu items! Welcome to the hood, it's great to have you.

  • Makena C.

Once I arrived at Sunny's I waited over 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge I was there, just to over hear the wait staff complaining about having another table. I was there no were close to closing. I was greeted by a grunt and the waitress stormed off. The service and attitude of the wait staff was absolutely horrible!!! I sat by the kitchen and watched one waitress grab old toast off someone's plate that was finished and put it on a new plate for the table next to me! EW! To top it off I found a black hair in my food and was disgusted. You couldn't pay me to go back to Sunny's!!

For the price this meal really wasn't worth it. Boast organic which is great, but not enough flavor. Would be good for parfaits and smoothies.

I was skeptical about another breakfast joint until trying a dish (and sampling others from our group of 5) on 5/4/14. Sunny's takes breakfast dishes to a whole new level and does this with a healthy and environmental twist (with reasonable prices)! I had the Mangia and sampled the vegetable latkes, both were delicious with great seasoning! We ate at 9 AM and had no wait but by the time we finished there were a few groups waiting. The inside is small but full of personality and decor. Great restaurant to add to the neighborhood! I'll definitely return!

  • Kendra C.

My first visit I walked away a very full and satisfied customer! My return visit I was equally content. :) I know the previous business had a following but Sunny's is an improvement on food selection! The service is prompt and on beautiful smiling faces, they offer gluten-free options and I enjoy the outdoor seating! I live nearby and love the convenience of walking over with the dog on my way to the park! I'd suggest locating just one more umbrella for sun protection. It got blazing hot sitting at the black metal table situated on the sidewalk up against the front window of the business. On a clear, hot morning that sun just sears the face, chest and the shoulders - depending which direction ya sit! I recommend one if their deliciously refreshing fruit smoothie to ward off the sting! ;)

This was my second visit to Sunny's. The food is really unique and delicious. My Dad and friend both had the Good Night. Who needs a sandwich made out of two grilled cheese sandwiches that has chorizo, avacado, and boursin cheese? My Dad and Best friend do! Way too much food for me but they both loved it. My mom and I just had plain old bacon and eggs. The bacon was well done and the house potatoes are really good. The food is great and the place is clean and cozy. The only negative was the service. One server was really good, happy, efficient and on top of things. The other server? Eh not so much. I had to grab my own water, get sugar from another table and when I asked for creamer I was handed a creamer container with barely enough creamer for a half a cup of coffee. Disappointing considering the vibe and the food at Sunny's are so cool. Cheer up-you could be slinging hash at Denny's. Give Sunny's a try-very good!

    (4)
  • John K.

I've eaten here four times and have really loved it. I've been asked if I wanted coffee before I've taken a seat so I can't fault the service. They've taken the egg Benedict and replaced the crummy part, the poached egg, with a better choice. The Aji, Mangia, latkes, Encore, and Bomber are well executed and I have my eye on other choices. I guess I could complain that tables outside slant toward the street but that would be nitpicking.

Sunny's gets five stars from me! Such yummy breakfast and very pleasant ambiance! I could not have better things to say about the service- personable, attentive and so very kind! Spring and Summer morning breakfasts on their outside patio are the perfect way to start your day! It's so nice to not have to wait 1+ hours to have a delicious breakfast with great service here in the Denver area!

I live within walking distance of Sunny's and enjoy an excuse to stop by. Excellent food, fun recipes, really nice staff. A few patio tables allow my pooch to sometimes join me. i recommend the Latkes or Mangia, but all the benny's and house specialties are worth trying.

This wonderful new restaurant is a refreshing and welcome change to the bog-standard breakfast/brunch joints that I've been getting very bored of. They have an amazing menu full of interesting and innovative changes to typical breakfast foods... eggs benny on pancakes, cannoli waffles, granola and oatmeal with chia and homemade marmalade, dirty chai late drinks..it really was difficult to chose. I ended up splitting a sandwiche where the crusts were actually 'grilled cheese!' Truly delicious. Very impressed with all the house-made products from whipped cream to chorizo patties and also loved the fresh potatoes, corned beef hash etc all made to order. Had to finish off with some of those pancakes for dessert and all washed down with their tasty organic coffee. Great service, great experience, can't wait to go back for more!

  • Kate H.

We love to dine in the highlands area neighborhood and this place did not disappoint!! I ordered the encore-sourdough with brie, bacon and orange marmalade, it was amazing! My husband had some amazing sandwich with chorizo, avocado and lots of other goodness. And my two-year old had a beautiful oatmeal dish named the "Everly" that he housed. The coffee was great, strong and rich! The menu has lots of unique options with so many homemade, local and organic touches. We will definitely dine at this place often! We ate with my sister and our kids and our service was prompt and efficient!

Service with a smile, great food and awesome atmosphere! I love to go to a place where you feel comfortable walking in. We were greeted immediately with a friendly staff. The food was outstanding! We had 5 different menu items from The Mangia to The Boss. Even tried the Acai bowl. Everything was very flavorful! The bathrooms were even clean! I would recommend this place to all my friends!

Cute cafe with great, local, freshly-made food. Nice portions and reasonable prices. I was impressed by the variety on the menu - lots of unique options including veggies and meats, egg dishes, interesting waffles, and cool toppings (including homemade granola) for oatmeal or cottage cheese. If I lived in the area, this would be a go-to brunch spot!

Visited Sunny's this morn with my wife, my Mom, and my 3 year old. The wait was longer than advertised. No big deal. The hostess was the only one bussing tables though, so turnaround was slow. Sat outside on the patio on a slanted table with way too many things piled on top of it. Barely space for four people to comfortably enjoy a meal so we moved the basket and creamer to the ground. All of the clutter on the table tells me a few things- most importantly to me, it says servers can't be bothered to bring the little extras to the table. While we are on service- not a fan. We sat down and were immediately asked about drinks. My wife and mother ordered and our server seemed to just walk away without asking myself or my daughter so we had to ask her to come back. Slow down. Greet your customers. When the food was brought out my plate was hot and the server ran it over and slammed it down for relief. With the small, overcrowded table I was happy it didn't land on my lap. I ordered no avocado, there was avocado. Not the end of the world, but sloppy in details. Also, I feel like that if you carry plates out to the table with children, the kids should have theirs first. Just a pet peeve. Don't set ours out so I have my kid upset that they have nothing. I understand that you are coming right back, but my daughter doesn't! It's an annoying parent thing, I know. Side note- I do feel the need to mention this but feel awkward doing so. I felt like our server was not appropriately dressed for the job. Again, this is awkward to say because it's a breakfast joint and I'm not in the business of making people feel bad- but I felt like she was untidy. It was off-putting. I feel like your servers are your front lines of how you want to represent yourself as a business. Regardless of the fact that this is a breakfast restaurant, I don't want to be served by someone that looks like they just rolled out of bed. I actually thought it might be a gimmicky thing where they dress up like this. I apologize for that comment, but I feel it's appropriate to mention as it effected the overall experience of the morning. Food- everyone liked their food. Interesting offerings and well executed. Tough to put a star ranking on Sunny's. If we eat inside at an actual table, do we have a different experience? The food was good with a mistake in one exclusion and the server was inexcusable to me. I want our neighborhood shops to thrive but there needs to be a better experience to surround the tasty food.

I like this place, I want to love this place and its close to enticing those kind of emotions from me but right now its stuck in the friend zone. Its cute hipsterish place and serves some good food. I wasn't overly please with my Juevos Rancheros as the execution of the dish wasn't to my liking but then again I do think the best Juevos Rancheros are from greasy spoons! They do have many waffle creations that I would like to try and more then likely will be back to explore though. Big ups to being able to add real Maple Syrup to your order!

Saturday morning, virtually no wait. Excellent coffee and food. Really nice, easy-going atmosphere.

You will have to wait a bit here, but its worth it. God almighty....is it worth it. We had the Rhody and the Aji. The Rhody is the most delicious eggs bennie I have had in my LIFE. The Aji is a delicious soithwestern bennie that was also super amazing. One thing, for your guests sitting outside, ice water instead of room temp, but the food is so good I could care less. Seriously, I can't wait to it the leftovers!

This is a nice casual spot to grab breakfast if you're in the area. We've come here a couple times and have enjoyed it. We usually like to come here after a hard workout since it's more of a casual joint. We also enjoy sitting on the patio and taking our dog, if he's being well behaved! The service is always friendly. The food is good, but nothing too out of the ordinary or special. Some items we've gotten and enjoyed were the: Huevos Rancheros, Mangia, the Mexican breakfast (this was on a daily special board) and pancakes with banana and walnuts. They can put just about anything in your pancakes, even cookie dough!

I really do love Sunny's and I really do love having a good breakfast place within walking distance of my house but sometimes the experience leaves a little to be desired. When it's a little busier on the weekends I fee like the service and food suffers just the slightest bit. The servers are just a little less attentive and the food is just a little less seasoned. Did I use the word "little" enough in that review to get the point across that these are just small issues that don't take away from the overall greatness of Sunny's?

Very impressed with this little cafe! It's super cute and I love that they have seating right out front. It's real casual and has a homey feel to it. We were greeted right away with a friendly smile. The only complaint that I have is it was pretty hot inside the cafe, I actually think it was cooler outside. The food definitely deserves five stars though. Most things they use are organic and locally grown! Huge plus in my book. Our waitress was very friendly but it did seem like they were short staffed. She was the only one taking orders and bringing food out-- every table was filled so she was obviously very busy! She did a good job though.

Love visiting this place when I'm in Denver. The food is fresh and good. Service is excellent and friendly. Parking is street only. Inside it can get a little noisy especially when they are making smoothies, but I love this place. If you can't handle the noise, sit outside.

Hard to eat without screaming, is probably the simplest explanation of how refreshingly great this meal was. "The Hipster " met or exceeded all expectations. I wish I had more meal experiences like this since moving to Denver. Don't plan on being in/out in a hurry.

Sunny's is a super cute breakfast place in Sunnyside that's def catering to the up-and-coming gentrified area (sorry, had to say it). The food is great and there are plenty of veggie options. My partner and I went one morning when it was one of the only places open when we were up bright and early and it was a god choice. We had The Hipster and The Delish Sunnys and they were okay. I was a touch confused because my eggs were nearly cold but we were the first folks in, but the taste was on point so we went with it. I will say that it's not a five-star review because the restaurant itself is really large and open, which makes for a really cold space both literally and figuratively. It was a cold morning when we went and it didn't feel like there was any heat. Since the kitchen is wide open, I assume it heats up pretty quickly but it didn't for an early morning there. Between that and the cold eggs, I wasn't enchanted. But! If we're ever around the Sunnyside area, we'll stop in. It's cute and okay-priced.

Sunny's known for their classic benedicts with sunny-side up eggs instead of poached eggs. So, my boyfriend and I decided to order two different types of benedicts: (1) Rhody (2) Delish. Rhody comes with delicate white corn Johnny cakes, pork belly, spiced apples, smoked salt, sunny side-up, and creamy hollandaise. I wasn't a fan of the Johnny cakes and would prefer the benedict on an English muffin but overall, everything together seemed quite tasty. There was nothing too extraordinary but it was pretty good. On the other hand, Delish is very well known and our waitress recommended it to us; however, it was very typical. Besides the fact that it is unique to use a pancake instead of an English muffin for a benedict, it was typical in the sense that everything together tasted like a typical breakfast. From pancakes to American cheese to Sausage to sunny-side up eggs, every components of the benedicts seemed very typical but just placed on top of each other with a hollandaise on the top to call it a benedict. (Tip: the maple syrup drizzled on the benedict made the dish too sweet, so I would recommend asking for the syrup on the side) In addition, both benedicts are served with potatoes, which were really good. My boyfriend is not a lover of potatoes but even he admitted that it was good. TIPS: I heard the Grilled Cheese and "Good Night" is amazing! (but I haven't tried it so I can't say that in fact is true) Overall, Sunny's was good but I've had better brunch. If I lived close to this location, I might come often for a quick breakfast if I am too lazy to cook; however, for a 35 minute drive from my house, personally, it is not worth the drive and time to go to this restaurant and eat brunch when I have a favorite spot 15 minutes away. I don't think I would ever go back unless I happen to be in the neighborhood.

I had a really nice discussion with the owner of Sunny's, who read my previous review, requested some further feedback and asked that I give the restaurant another try. I appreciate owners who pay attention to their Yelp reviews, because it shows they want to make their business better. A few friends and I stopped by Sunny's for a Sunday brunch, and the service has vastly improved. Everyone was attentive and accommodating, especially as we kept a hyper 2-year-old toddler under wraps. The restaurant was moderately busy, but it did not affect the timing of our food being delivered. As usual, everything was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed watching my friends tear into a Good Night sandwich. Any sandwich that has grilled cheese as it's bread is GOLDEN in my book (literally and figuratively). It was also super easy to get a table here on an early Sunday afternoon. The wonderfully creative menu will keep me coming back here every time!

I spend the majority of my weekends in Denver, and when I'm there, I crave Sunnys. It is a cute little hole in the wall with brightly painted walls and seating both inside and out. We love it because we can bring our pup and sit on the patio. I am a creature of habit, so I always order the two-two-two. Two eggs, two pancakes, and two pieces of bacon. I add cheese to my eggs, and they are always cooked perfectly! The bacon is AMAZING! They will cook it to your specifications, and they never disappoint. But.. The real winner here is the banana pancakes. They cook the bananas in the actual pancake, not just put on top. I think they must dip the bananas in cinnamon before cooking because they give this wonderful wonderful sweet taste. My boyfriend always try's something new. Usually the special.. The specials always are unique, but always have amazing flavors. His favorite part is the homemade strawberry compote/jam. TO DIE FOR. OH. And they use fresh locally grown everything. Now that I've talked about it, I must go to Sunnys immediately.

New favorite brunch spot that's for sure. My cousin and I were browsing Yelp and came across Sunny's. We wanted to try a different brunch spot than our usual places. I looked at the menu and it had me sold. We walked in and it's pretty small. So I bet it gets really busy on the weekends. We were seated. I started off with the soy chai and my friend had the berries and cherries smoothie. OMG! Talk about amazing. Her smoothie was nice and thick and delicious. I got the Sunny's version of the eggs benedict with grilled cheese with sunny side up eggs and my friend had the Good Night which had chorizo, avocado, eggs sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwich. Both of them were amazing. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. And seriously I love grilled cheese sandwiches and I would never have thought to put a sunny side egg on top. Seriously, AMAZING! I will be back. It's too good not to return. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

10 stars! I am so freaking giddy that Sunny's is within walking distance from my mom's house that I am like a kid on Christmas morning. My mom and I decided to do a breakfast date on Saturday and walked over to Sunny's for the first time. How do you spell addicted, dear Yelpers? Well I am currently spelling it S-U-N-N-Y-S. We were greeted promptly and our waiter directed us through the menu. I got the Rhody which is delectable pieces of pork belly topped with perfectly cooked eggs stacked on top of apples and Johnny cakes (corn cakes). All of this is topped with homemade Hollandaise (I know that is spelled incorrectly, but I am too excited to look up how to spell it. Don't judge). Holy hell if this wasn't the best thing I have eaten for breakfast, I don't know what is! Pair this piece of heaven with their spiced potatoes and I could have died a happy, happy girl. Is it the weekend yet? I am SO ready to go back!

I was going to wait until I was home to write this review but I figured that since I have some free time because I have zero food to eat, I might as well start it now. Since I haven't eaten and have been sitting for a half hour I can only comment on the coffee, which is empty along with our water jug. The coffee was great while it lasted. As a positive, they are really good at anticipating that you'll be hungry at some point during the day.

Good Breakfast, Basic Diner Vibe I went with 3 friends, 2 of whom have significant dietary restrictions (read GF, V). Sunny's is ACES as far as gluten free and vegetarian options go and for yumminess for all, including full diet, meat-pounding eaters! Small space, high volume, local's place. It's just a cute-ish box to eat in, but good eating for sure. Slow, friendly service, but they do get slammed.

I would give 3.5 stars if the option was available. The food is a solid 4 stars!! Service is so-so and nothing special. Be prepared to wait a while for your breakfast even on a medium traffic day. As long as you're patient then no problem. Positives are the creative and tasty menu. Lots of gluten free options too. Portions are big and the food tasted good. On a negative side some of the food is so over buttered and while butter makes everything better, there is a thing as too much... If this is in your hood give it a try. I just won't go out of my way to eat here again. It's good. Just not great!!

It would be 5 stars but they say they serve brunch but they don't have a liquor license The food is amazing. The staff are nice. But where's my Bloody Mary or mimosa?

Wow! My first experience at this place and im already excited to return. 3 different servers routinely check on my son and I, and I love that. Our waitress seemed to know the menu like the back of her hand and was very helpful in giving us recommendations, as well as a brief history of the restaurant and it's owner. It was nice to see the owner of the place cooking our food in that clean little kitchen. (Yes it's an open kitchen) The food was delish and plentiful, and the coffee good. I highly recommend the Heuvos rancheros. It was a work of art. Almost felt bad for digging in. I am new to this neighborhood and we go out for breakfast on Saturday's quite often. I thought the Universal was gonna take a while to be one up'd but this place has easily done that with it's food, neighborhood feel, and service. I will hold back on saying this place is a Neighborhood Gem until I have tried a few more items on the menu.

I normally love Sunny's and think of myself as a near regular. Not daily, but often weekly. Today they stubbed their toe to the point they will not longer be my go-to breakfast spot or rave recommendation. We went for my stepson's 11th birthday with a few family members - party of 7. Two of us walked over early to grab a table at 8:45am, the rest 5-10 minutes behind. We know they get busy on the weekends, but the rush in our experience happens after 9am. The whole point of our party getting there before the rush. When we got there - they would not seat us until the entire party was there as it was their "policy". However, as a semi-regular, I have actually been seated with an incomplete party in the past and there were 5 open tables. A very officious female server was fairly aggressive about it and made us wait with an incredibly insincere "sorry". You know the kind I'm talking about. The "Sorry. I'm not sorry." kind. If you have the policy, be consistent. Significantly less rude would also help. The server we had did her best to make up for a sour start. The food was good. But can't say I love Sunny's anymore after this unexpected rude experience. We'll go to Gallop Cafe down the street for their amazing breakfast or any of the myriad options in Denver instead.
