Understandably busy for a triple/quadruple game day. Service was fine and prompt, but ordered an andouille on a roll. It came out cut up and on the roll with cole slaw - an obvious attempt to save money on andouille. Look guys, I get it; meat is expensive, but for $7? No way! Give me the sausage!

Cool TVs to watch games but the food menu went to sh1t. They now charge for a la carte sandwiches, burgers, etc. At the end of the day, it's a sports bar. If I order a burger I want fries with it. New owners came in and they're changing everything, and I don't like what they're doing. They tried steaming their burgers. Fail. They made the beer glasses smaller. Fail, but they are still sticking with it. This isn't how you retain business guys. They are in it for the quick $$, not trying to run a respected business.

Passed this place quite a few times and have never been inside. I can see it as a great spot to watch a game. Plenty of space and TVs. There are at least 2 large bars and multiple rooms. I love when a bartender makes suggestions. We had fantastic service at the bar. Had a great drink and the chorizo mac and cheese spring rolls were amazing. Smaller menu - upscale bar food. Totally give this place a whirl.

All you can eat wings wednesday....wings are burnt, cheap, meatless and a complete waste of money. Manager JUST SAID "that's the way it is so tough!" Really, really disappointed. Too bad manager service was so poor :(

I'm looking forward to football season to have another reason to spend more time here! They have good bar food and plenty of space and TVs!

Excellent neighbourhood bar. It's technically a sports bar, but never too crazy. Gotta' love a good 2 for 1 happy hour during the week!

Physically a great place, but as for staff... mostly Annoying. Sat at the main bar and it took forever to get served anything. Meanwhile the floor servers actually leaned across my body while returning empties, which piled up in front of me. Two of these servers were in a cat fight all night. One bartender spent half the evening ripping on bar management... very unprofessional. I would have ordered food, but nothing was offered. In short, I went to enjoy a game but spent the whole time being distracted by this place's drama and disorganization. Ended up leaving to watch the last quarter somewhere else. And took 5 people with me.

Spike was awesome and right on top of customer requests! As a Kansas girl, I love Stoney's!

Stoney's has GREAT happy hour, and service. I love watching sporting events here! As far as the food, the nachos are great, and the burgers are pretty decent! Be sure to add green chile to your fries, nachos or burgers. Its pretty legit!

Always welcomed and made to feel like a local. Great place for watching the game. Good drinks and awesome bartenders!

2-for-1 beers during happy hour, which is until 7, and a ton of seating. You really can't ask for much more than 2 beers for $5. It's a good place to watch any sports event since they have about 40 screens. The food is kinda eh but I think you should expect that. If you must order something, stick to the tator tots and nachos.

the burgers are steamed hams, so if youre a fan of the simpsons eat here. idk. otherwise i can think of at least 3 better places to eat a block from here. this restaurant doesnt stand out at all. the dj was playing sandstorm... and they gave me??? diet coke when i asked for regular??? at 3 in the afternoon before there was any kind of conceivable rush. i was eager to leave. there was a better restaurant here before. one thing i will say is that they have rly good fries. their fries get a 5

Nothing special here. Just your typical bar food, one draw is unlimited wings for 7.99 (pub on pearl and pub on penn have better deals for this). Unlimited wings says it's on Friday online, this is no longer true. If you want the deal you have to go on Wednesdays now. The buffalo chicken sandwich is okay, if you like dry chicken. Definitely ask for more buffalo sauce. The wings are interesting but good, in relation to unlimited wings, instead of tossing the wings in the sauce the sauce you pick comes in a cup on the side. After trying all flavors of wings I would truly only recommend the buffalo, which is delicious but not spicy. The blue cheese here is quite tasty. Stoney's is a great place to watch any sort of game, they have tons of televisions and are willing (most of the time) to change the channel to your choice of game. The beer selection here is also really great, I don't agree with their view that beer tastes better out of cans but that might just be me.

This place was pretty crowded and looks pretty busy you couldn't really tell who were the servers and who are the actual guests we waited in there for about 15 minutes with no one even looking our way hostesses drinking alcohol and basically don't go here didn't take our order not once we were imaginary I guess

  • Jeff D.

This is one of my favorite bars, so let me be as diplomatic as possible: you don't go to Stoney's for the food. If you know that going in, then you're going to love the place. Cheap drinks (although their prices have gone up a bit here recently), great service, and just a general chill vibe. One of the best happy hours in town. Good juke box that you can program from your smart phone. In a part of town (Lincoln and Broadway, between 6th and Colfax) that is sorely lacking in good bars, Stoney's is by far the best. I've never had bad service there - ever, so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. The staff - including Stoney and his lovely wife - are tip-top. And, remarkably, the front of the house turnover seems very low which suggests that Stoney is doing something right.

  • Brandon H.

Must say I didn't eat here. Was in for a birthday party and was asked to play some songs on the jukebox. Put $20 in from my phone and after a few noticed those songs weren't playing. Checked my touch tunes ap and saw that nothing else was ahead of my songs. Brought this up to our server and she sorted out that they have 2 jukeboxes and if we want to hear what I paid for need to go to the other side of the bar. I informed her of how long we had been there and that we are not moving to the other side of the bar, switch that over here. All of a sudden I'm "rude" from her mouth. Am I wrong here? Sorry that I "assumed" Stoney's Bar & Grill meant the jukebox I was looking at. Sorry Stoney. You need to can that one. Everyone else I talked to after wasn't very helpful either.

The bad reviews I see on this page suggest that they were written by poor consumers. Furthermore, the beer was cold and the food was good. I had the club and the bacon was amazeballs. Service from Alex was on point and the atmosphere was great. Would have been a strong four stars until I noticed the handmade toothpicks, totally shows attention to detail and care for aesthetic.

A few months ago this would have been a 4 star review. Stoney's recently redid their menu and I am not the biggest fan. They eliminated great apps like mac & cheese bites and almost every healthier option from the wraps and sandwiches section as well. Now all that remains is the standard bar food and high fat/calorie options. I used to love to eat at Stoney's during happy hour, but that is no longer the case. My friends and I have been finding it harder and harder to pick something to eat there. (Especially my vegetarian friends!) Stoney's still gets a 3-star rating due to their great happy hour that runs everyday! I think it runs from 4-7 and is 2 for 1 on drafts and wells. They have a good selection of beer, but nothing special. (Also, just decreased their beer size!) You get a receipt so you can get your 2nd beer anytime before 7:30pm!

Stoney's is the perfect neighborhood hangout! Best happy hour deals in town, 2-4-1, and great local beers on tap. The food is delish, definitely one of the best buffalo sauce in town. And the service is awesome. After expanding they have new pool tables and an awesome patio with seating and cornhole. Always something going on!!

Fish tacos were flavorless, wings we're okay. Happy hour is buy one get one but it's $7 for a small beer.

Stoney's provided space, good food, great drink deals, and "service" to a courageous group this weekend to help them raise funds and awareness. A friend of mine spoke on behalf of the organization about her daughter's battle with childhood cancer. She lost her daughter less than a year ago, but found the courage and strength to speak. Some time after pouring her heart out, she and her husband asked for the bill and had a question. The manager was called over and rather than diffusing the situation with an explaination, she was combative, tore up the check, and raised her voice to say "it's not ALL about you!" After Stoney's had done a great thing by partnering with the national organization to provide a space for the event, the manager was ill composed, petulant, and aggressive. Her supervisor, whom I'm assuming is the owner, was not there to be informed of how counter productive her attitude and demeanor were to Stoney's generosity and partnership. Hopefully, this review will find it's way and make a difference.

With so many places in Denver with great beer, decent food, and great beer - it has been hard to find a steady place. But whenever I am downtown, I always default to Stoney's. Stoney's is a HUGE bar that is perfect for watching football, basketball, or people get... have a really good time. The waitstaff is fast and friendly and the food is good as well. There is also usually plenty of metered parking within a block of the place, so you don't have to trudge from your car in the cold.

  • Anjum K.

So, I have reviewed Stoney's twice, and my most recent review earned a retaliation by the owner. I stated facts: terrible food, slow service, a great place to watch a game. He said I had been kicked out multiple times, had a dog in the restaurant, and had the cops called on me. I don't own a dog, have never been kicked out, and certainly have never had the cops called on me. If you look at the reviews, most concur the food is average or below especially after the new owner ruined the menu, and that the service is really bad. A few other reviews have similar responses from the owner saying they were just drunk and annoying others. THere are better places to watch a game, with a better environment, better, food, faster service, the same happy hour, and an owner who is not a liar and personally attacks some who post negative reviews of his place.

Stoney's should change their name to Stoney's Bar and Steamer. Stoney's changed their menu recently and I really dislike this place now. I don't eat a lot of meat and consider it to be a special treat once in a while. I had a free entree at Stoney's from the Five Stars program so I decided to get the buffalo sliders. Well they don't have sliders anymore instead they have "steamed burgers." This is pretty much the dumbest concept ever. They steam the burgers supposedly to make them juicy. I like my burgers medium rare and there is no way to cook them this way. All steamed burgers are cooked the same. There was no grilled taste on the outside and no flavor or juices (as they were bragging about) on the inside. Totally bland and a waste of calories. It tasted like cafeteria food. I'm glad it was free or I would've asked for my money back. They also used to have these awesome fried mac & cheese bacon bites as an appetizer and they don't anymore. The nachos are OK but really soggy. They use poor quality liquid cheese wizz like you'd get at 7-11 instead of good shredded cheese. If you get nachos, ask for the cheese on the side or you'll need to eat them with a spoon because it's like a soup. I also live in a Cornerstone apartment so I used to get 2 for 1 sliders. Now I think it's 2 for 1 burgers but HELL NO. Sorry Stoney's. You have a nice happy hour, cool atmosphere, and the servers are chill, but the FOOD STINKS!

Visiting in Denver from Long Beach and came here. PROS: -sport lovers dream -18+ tvs -great 2 for 1 drink specials -great appetizers -friendly staff -2 separate bars -skeet ball and other bar games. CONS: -if you're not a sports lover, might not be your cup of tea. Overall, if you're looking to watch games with a rabid fan base, great drink specials, good selection of craft beers, this is the place for you. A casual sports fan might not enjoy the ambience here as much as others, but there is still plenty here to keep any group of any age entertained for hours.

I really like this place. Its a bit out of my location wheelhouse, but I would definitely go back. I joined some OU fans for a game against TCU. Unfortunately, it was a loss for OU, so that put a damper on some of the fun. Onto the food. Its an eclectic mix of american standards. I had a chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes on a bun. that is some crazy stuff there. It was as awesome as it sounds. Came with sausage gravy and I ordered some on the side. Artery clogging nirvana. Also, had some pretzels, which were awesome. Lots on this menu to try. Will be in again when in the area. Definitely a great place to watch sports, but be mindful of who is playing! you may be in with a sports crowd that might not be yours. Cheer at your own risk!

I love this place. Ive reviewed before but they recently made some a big expansion i didnt see working. I Was wrong. All the new TV's in the new space! Lets go football!

  • Jessica M.

Nothing out of the ordinary here , but I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way. They have a ton of TVs in here and a bunch of fan gear for non-Denver teams. I think this would be a great place to watch other teams if you wanted to. They have HH every day from 4-7 that includes a few 2-for-1 drafts, but it conflicts with their football menu and they seem to change their minds about what they're offering and when, so be sure to clarify with your server. Typical bar food - fried pickles, fried curds, tater tots, wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, you name it. We shared a few different things, but weren't blown away by the food - just your average fare. We'll probably be back at some point, but I can't say we'll go out of our way. Bull & Bush is still my fave right now.

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon, my boyfriend and I decided to grab some lunch at Stoney's. We walked in (and as per the sign at the front door) seated ourselves outside. We waited for about 15 minutes and no server came over to us or even acknowledged that we were new customers. I saw several servers glance over in our direction but none took the initiative to ask us if we've been helped or offer us some drinks. We decided to pick up our belongings and head on over to Krewe's next door. Within SECONDS of seating ourselves, a server was already at our table prepared with menus as well as ice water. Sorry Stoney's, maybe you should hire better servers that make sure to keep an eye out for new customers entering. If you enjoy your current servers and their abilities, maybe you shouldn't have a 'seat yourself' sign if they aren't equipped to keep their eyes peeled. Better luck next time with new customers, because I know I won't be back anytime soon.

Fun place to watch the game but definitely don't try ordering food for big games. The staff is nice but it would have been great to be notified before ordering that it would take more than two hours to get food.

I had the Border Burger with tater tots. It was definitely a "fork and knife" burger with all of the delicious green Chile and cheese quesadillas for a bun. Very tasty!

Just witnessed the worst management of an establishment at this bar by GM, Alexis and owner Stoney. A friend of mine just got punched in the face, and instead of kicking both parties of the altercation out. They somehow were convinced that our friend (with whom got punched) was the only party in the wrong! Way to make people feel safe in your establishment Alexis and Stoney. Absolutely ridiculous!

First time here and we had a nice time. Food was pretty good...had their stuffed chicken, house salad and tried their mashed potatoes. All delicious. Then tried their meatballs and bruchetta. Yumalicious all around. Since I was driving, I just had a little taste of some of the Deep Eddy Cranberry drinks. Nice flavor, but felt their Deep Eddy servers did not really want to be there. Most of all we enjoyed hanging out with some new friends we met. Funny and great conversation but it was difficult to talk with the not-so-exciting, boy-they-need-some-drums live music going on. Overall we had a nice time and I hope to be back sometime!

Stoney's has a bunch of TVs, which is perfect for watching different teams at the same time. There was a pretty big crowd when we arrived on a weekend night, but it seemed to clear out by 11pm. I'm not sure if it was just a matter of the specific night we went on, or if that's how it always is, but by the time I left it was pretty quiet. I wasn't disappointed about that though because the group that had originally been sitting next to us were pretty racist - they were loudly talking shit about Mexicans as my half Mexican SIL sat right next to them. Real classy. But I digress, that isn't the bar's fault, just the crowd that night. What is the bar's fault though was that the girls tending bar were pounding shots, and it seemed like they were more into partying together than actually serving customers. I understand the concept of having fun at work, but first you have to work at work... Our beers and simple mixed drinks took longer than they should, and it didn't seem like any of the bartenders were happy to be there. Once we ordered our first drink, they hardly made eye contact with us, even when we were trying to get something else. We'll probably look for a different spot to go to next time we're in the area. The overall experience was just disappointing.

  • Shane T.

Great place to catch a game, especially NFL. They recently changed their menu which took them from a 4.5 star to a 4 for me. The other half point deduction is for the service. The food always comes out right but can take a while to get service.

  • April L.

Great venue, lots of TVs and the perfect place for a football watch party. Unfortunately, our waitress Tia was rude immediately. We asked for a type of vodka to which she immediately snapped "THIS IS A SPORTS BAR HONEY, WE'RE NOT FANCY!!!" She was condescending, loud, and embarrassing which was a turn-off, not to mention awkward. She treated us like we were dumb throughout our hour there, until we decided to go elsewhere where customer care mattered more. Other than the service, nice spot.

    (2)
  • Marty D.

Man were those fries delicious, the turkey sandwich tastes like thanksgiving in your mouth and there are enough tv's to where you can ask to watch a game and they'll probably just go ahead and change the channel for you as long as you won't be interrupting a jay hawks game or a cards game. I will definitely be back to try more of their delicious and to enjoy their happy hour again!

  • Ty T.

Downhill! What a disappointment - have they changed owners? Host was too busy on his phone to even say hello. Service felt like we were a nuisance - and food was incredibly salty (even for bar food!). Manager on duty was more interested in her eye makeup then actually managing the restaurant. And what's up with the smaller beers for the same price?! The Stoney's I remember was a good ol neighborhood bar with good food and a better overall welcoming atmosphere!

I just went to Stoney's last night for the first time. Walked in and no one greeted or said anything to me and my boyfriend so I walked to the bar and asked the bartender where we could sit. Ended up sitting at the bar and ordering food. I ordered the Stoney's original rub wings, and mac and cheese egg rolls, my boyfriend got the burger. The wings were sooooooo salty I couldn't even finish one. I told the bartender and he kind of gave me a duhhh That's how our rub always is kind of response, like I should have known before I ordered. The Mac and cheese egg rolls were blah I ate 3 and left the rest. The burger was just okay as well. Total let down! The first bottle of ketchup I used was also sour as he**!! To the point where I was looking for an expiration date on it. I gave it to a female bartender and told her and suggested she throw it away, she just put it behind the bar and apologized. I read the reviews before I went and ignored all the negative ones, big mistake on my part! I wouldn't waste your time on this place of you're looking for some good food

Back again perfect as usual the bartenders are personal and the food is freaking bomb, great recommendations and perfect atmosphere for a sports bar!!!!! Go get you some Mac & Cheese Spring rolls, dip it in THEIR ranch and tell me you don't taste the American Dream

There service here is incredibly slow. It's a Saturday and its one of the best football days of the year and our server is pretty much covering the whole place. The wings are pretty tasty but could be cooked a little longer. The drinks are around $5-$7 each. You're out of shot glasses!!! Omg it just gets worse

I live within walking distance of this bar and although I've never had the good there I have had my fair share of cocktails. They also host the Cupid undies run which was a blast! The reason I gave them 4 stars is because they did not carry a lot of the liquors that I like.

Upon entering Stoney's bar and grill I was somewhat skeptic. The sports bar decor along with noisy atmosphere had me concerned that I was going to get less than stellar service, but I was pleasantly surprised. When no hostess was there to seat us, the bouncer went out of his way to get us sat quickly. We were promptly greeted by our server Meghan and the drinks were strong yet fairly priced. (Great happy hour) This bar was not too wild nor was it too much of a sports bar for me to have a good night out with old friends. I would strongly recommend this bar to any Denverite for a game day or just a good night on the town. Thanks Stoney's, we will definitely be back.

I first visited Stoney's over two years ago, and was beyond impressed; they were the first bar that I actually enjoyed, and I visited a few times over the next few months for their delicious items. While they moved my favorite sliders (the Beet Down) off the menu, they still had the Caprase sliders, and the Black Bean Sliders with the pineapple salsa...and of course, my absolute favorite, their Truffle Parm fries OR tots. Plus, other great vegetarian friendly apps like quinoa balls, sample platters, artichoke dip, hummus, etc. We had moved out of Denver, so I was quite excited today to get to redeem a $40 gift card on some of my favorite items. BIG shock. Their menu had been slashed and burned. While they did have $2 extra gluten free buns for their sliders (yay, since Leo and I are gluten free now), their only vegetarian slider is polenta cakes. Because putting somewhat dry carbs on even more dry bread is a brilliant plan. Leo ordered the Thai Chicken Noodle Salad -- the chicken itself was so salty that he didn't eat it. As in, took two bites, and pushed all the chicken to the edge of the plate. We started with nachos, which at $10 should have been awesome...but they were missing most of the Nach. After spreading the topping around as much as possible, still over half the chips had nothing; no cheese, and certainly not one of the 4 or 5 olives or tomato pieces that were placed on top. Qdoba would have been better. My sliders came with tots, which were ok, but nothing to write home about (and certainly nothing compared to their former truffle parm version), and I couldn't finish the two sliders, even after asking for some ranch to put on them to try and make them edible (for which I was duly charged). I clear my plate almost like clock work, and left 3/4 of a slider there because it tasted like cardboard. Highlight of the meal? My side salad of mixed greens (not too shabby) and the iced tea. Our poor server got triple sat and it seemed like no one else was on, so he was working his butt off, but it mean that we were with empty glasses and dirty plates for a while. Sadly, my one bar haunt has bit the dust. Not sure if it was an owner change or a chef change, but I certainly will not be heading back unless there is another such significant change. Sorrowfully disappointed.

The food here is a failed experiment at best. Great location and atmosphere for sports but for a bar-dining experience it is awful. Come to drink, not to eat.

Stoney's is a great sports bar in the heart of Cap Hill! Good, friendly service, and solid bar food including the stellar Mac & Cheese spring rolls! They have a zillion TVs, and are EXCELLENT at the music during commercials timing - you never miss a second of the featured game! The atmosphere is casual and fun. They do have a dog-friendly patio from which you can see many TVs, and the staff is very accommodating to dogs. They are also the Kansas watch bar and while I have not yet been for a KU event, many of the staff wear KU shirts on any given day which gives me great expectations for the level of Jayhawk spirit!

I've always been pretty meh about this place, but have found myself there on occasion due to trivia, or friends who want to watch sports and won't go anywhere else. Yes, they have good games/activities, and it's a big place good for a large group, but the food has always been not so good and the service has always been perilously slow. The happy hour is good but the slow service really impedes upon the value. That being said, I would always try to encourage friends to go elsewhere, but I wasn't vehemently opposed. However, recently, a good friend of mine wrote an honest review (similar to the things I said above) and the owner proceeded to publicly attack him here on Yelp (saying things that weren't even true, to boot). I'm not sure if he was just trying to discredit the things he said, or if he simply thinks all brown guys look the same and mistook him for someone else, but either way the behavior was a little crazy and put me off the place even more. I would just be wary of an establishment whose owner tries to belligerently attack reviewers instead of taking the feedback to improve his establishment.

I live in Cap Hill and Stoney's is my favorite restaurant/bar in in the area. Not necessarily for the atmosphere, although it has a fun mountain/ski feel. Not necessarily for the food, although it's pretty damn good. What makes this my favorite place is the people that work there - Ashley, Tia, Meghan, Kelli, Eric, Andrea, and Lauralynn are all awesome. They're fast, attentive, but mostly they're friendly and fun.

Me and a friend were at Stoney's on Monday for the Jets game, and we had an amazing experience (despite the game) thanks to our server Gabriel. It definitely renewed our faith in the serving industry's ability to provide courteous, considerate, and efficient service. Gabriel was perfectly on time, checked in on us frequently, knowledgeable about the menu/specials, and willing to go the extra mile. Most importantly, he was friendly, polite, showed that he cared about his job and cared about giving good service -something that seems rare these days. The last thing a customer needs while their team is losing is a rude server, thank god we got Gabriel, he was fantastic!!!!

This place went through a ton of different restaurants, bars, and clubs before becoming Stoney's, so the fact that they're still alive and kicking (and expanding!) tells you a lot. This is a good place to catch a football game, to meet up with friends after work, or to kick off a wild birthday weekend. The food is mostly pub grub but it's tasty and generous. Beers are likewise pretty much what you'd expect but come at a decent price. Staff is always friendly and you never have to wait long for service. There's an outdoor patio, but it's not all that big and faces busy Lincoln Street, so stay inside and check out their collection of random ski-themed stuff on the walls.

Plenty of televisions and a cool atmosphere to catch a game! The food is worse than what you find at a POW camp. The burger I had literally tasted like high school cafeteria food. Service is friendly enough. Summary: only come for beer and to watch a game, eat before you come.

When I first moved a couple blocks away from Stoney's it always seemed to be packed and I always had a good time there with no issues about the food or service ect.. But in the last couple months I have been there 3 times (because they have cornhole) and each time has been extremely unpleasant due to staff. The place is completely empty and dead every time I go in or walk by and Im sure its because there staff is so horribly rude. They will completely ignore you when your waiting at the bar, and if your lucky enough to get a drink they treat you like a nuisance and pour extremely weak drinks. Last night my friends got there late to a play a game or two. We noticed one of the games wasn't turned on and there was no out of order sign. So we looked for the cord to see if it was plugged in. The plug was on the back of the pillar not in any precarious or weird spot we shouldn't be. And this blonde employee comes up and started demeaning us for trying to plug in the game. She started yelling at us to get away from the TV, (which we weren't even touching or messing with) we were still nice about and tried to explain what we were doing and she tells us "To get away from there and that its fucking broken." She spoke to us like we were children and proceeded to keep the theme the rest of the night. Near closing we got our second round of drinks. A short time after at 1:55 the same person comes and starts taking all of our full drinks we JUST payed for. I realize you have to take drinks and its the law but staff should not come and grab them all with no warning or saying anything. Ive never been somewhere that didnt give you a "drink em up" warning or anything. To snatch up 4 full drinks and try to walk off with them is completely unacceptable. We were all just like WTF? and asked if we could finish them at which she set them down and said we could chug them (once again it was 1:55 not 2). So not wanting to chug an entire full porter beer we all still lost out on that one. I think last night was the last straw for me. I cant take going somewhere and tipping someone to treat me like dirt.

1:59 and they take my drink I have already paid for?! Absolutely no! I have already paid for it let me finish it! Worst place I have ever been to. They we so rude to me. I will never be back.

I went here with a couple friends from out of town based on my own last review. This time my experience was much different. This time the wait service was poor. She forgot half our items, which she even forgot to put into the system so we didn't have to pay for them at least. The manager walking around was able to at least get us the remaining parts of our meal. But to boot they no longer have spicy corn fritters and happy hour is to be less then desired. I was so disappointed. Oh and they charged me an extra $1.00 for salsa for my tacos, which I thought would be included with said tacos. AHHHH Devastating.

Have been here before and had a great time. Came here for the packer game with some friends from out of town. We sat in the back room, which they call their packer room. The service was terrible. Our waitress seemed stoned out of her mind. Had no clue what the specials were, couldn't tell us the price of specials or other drinks, our food came out cold. When she would come over to our table she would simply say "how's it going?" We would respond with ok or alright and she would smile and walk away. Never refilled our waters or asked if we wanted more drinks. When we asked for our bill she brought and we paid in cash. She looked t the cash BEFORE she left out table and then had the balls to go complain about us to her co workers about 2 tables away from us.

I came here with a happy hour meetup last night. I wasn't seated in the main area and I didn't order food, so this review is from a happy hour perspective, only. And I have to say, it was a good experience. Our group was in the back bar area. A good number of people showed up - I'd say 50 or 60, but the area wasn't crowded, which is great. There was just one bartender but I felt that he did a good job at serving all 60ish of us. I ordered a drink twice and then closed out a tab. On each occasion, I didn't have to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be acknowledged. My only complaint is that I originally asked him if he could make me a Moscow Mule, and he said that he could, but he didn't have the copper cup. Fine, I mean, I don't NEED the copper cup. But the Mule wasn't very good... I guess the moral of the story is that if they don't have the copper cup, they probably don't make too many Mules and you probably shouldn't order one. I also came to find out that the copper cup also contributes to some sort of chemical reaction that contributes to the taste of the Mule. Oh, well. I would definitely come back here for future happy hours and from the other reviews, sounds like I need to come back to try the food. Consider this place bookmarked.

A great sports bar in the Capitol Hill-Golden Triangle area. I've been here for many different sporting events and the TV's are many. It is a Saints bar so be prepared if you're going on a Saints game day. The Elk Red Chili is awesome as are the Tempura Chicken Tenders! Live shows come here for its ability to cram people in. The bar is spacious and extends all the way into a back bar to allow for plenty of seating. But I would recommend getting here early if it's a big game day as it gets packed. Great happy hour prices and beer selection too!

Service is always slow and most people who work there seem very confused on what's going on unless you're there just for drinks. Has gone really downhill.

Stoney's is a fun neighborhood pub. The staff is super cool and friendly, especially when you're a regular. The food is typical bar food but the fries are below average. They have a great happy hour and flat screens at every angle to watch your favorite game. Definitely a Broncos bar, but this is also a New Orleans Saints bar so if you're not a fan then avoid it when they play unless you want to hear the annoying song "Saints go marching in..." ugh! Shot skis are a fun way to get your buzz on and also a photo op. so you can post on FB and let the world know you can do a shot in unison with others and most importantly to show your boss your mad drinking skills. Go Stoney's!

I love Stoney's. I have been here for lunch, dinner and late night eats. I've been here for drinks, food, special events, football, and trivia. I've even been here for a few after-work happy hours with the boss, since it's directly across the street from my office. No matter what the time or occasion, I love this place. On the surface, they look like a cool, Colorado-themed sports bar with beers and bar food. But if you look a bit deeper, they are (much) better than your average sport bar. Don't believe me? Keep reading... DRINKS: The beer selection at Stoney's is better than average, with tons of great, local craft beers on tap. They change their taps often and always have a few great seasonal beers. If you don't see your favorite on tap, they also have canned beers galore. Visit during happy hour (4-7) and your draft beer and well drinks are 2-for-1. FOOD: Like any respectable sports bar, there are lots of tasty appetizer options. They make delicious cheese curds, sweet potato fries, fried pickles, wings, mac and cheese pups and something called a dank nugget - aka jalapeno corn fritters - which are soooo good! There's so many more appetizers, but lets move on to the regular menu. Sliders feature big here, including such mouthwatering options such as elk meatloaf, fried bologna, ground buffalo and adobo pulled pork. My favorites? It's a tie between the Colonel (chicken fried chicken topped with mashed potatoes and gravy) and the My Boy Bleu (grilled chicken with ham, swiss and garlic aioli.) You can get them with fries or my favorite, tator tots. They also have great salads if you want something without a bun. Regardless of your choice, it's all good. ENVIRONMENT: The environment inside Stoney's cool, with all the greenery and ambiance of a Colorado ski bar, but with TVs so you can watch the game and a stage for music on the weekends. They also seem to care about the outside environment, given that their menu says they try to stay green by recycling, composting, and serving only canned beers (which they can recycle, with the proceeds going to charity.) I appreciate what they do to make their spot comfy and responsible. Beer, food, and a little Colorado love. That is a 5-star spot to me.

We always have a great time at Stoneys. They have a pretty decent selection of beers on tap and a pretty solid variety of food choices - so not just wing and burgers. I actually had the salad and it was pretty dam good. The wait staff has been great, food was great, and drinks are reasonable. The on street parking is a bit tough, but the meters are free there after 6PM if you can find one. If the meters are all taken, there is a little parking lot right next to Stoneys thats not to pricey.

Well, I have to say, this was not really the place I was expecting. From the look from the outside while driving bye, the website ...and in reviewing the menu...I was jumping at the chance to go down and sample some of the great looking menu items. Since this was my first time at Stoneys, what I didn't realize was that this is first and foremost a bar. Plain and simple. My friend and I went in and couldn't even really enjoy the atmosphere due to the loud and slightly obnoxious crowd. We were giving it the benefit the doubt though and looked forward to jumping into the menu. We ordered an appetizer, a burger and a sandwich and a couple of beers on tap. Sadly to say, the food was nowhere near the quality as I had hoped it would be. Such a shame. Whoever put together the menu was very imaginative! Too bad the quality didn't live up to expectation. Bottom line is ...this is a bar, and what you get is bar food. If that is what you go there for...the beer, a bar atmosphere with a pretty decent street patio, and bar food...then I think you won't be disappointed. Otherwise I myself wouldn't make the trip for the food.

They have SKEE-BALL! ...Hence the 4th star. Cool Happy Hour options on both food and drink. We nagged 2-4-1 Beers, and that worked for us. Food options are varied too: The Fried Okra was ungreasy and tasted dandy all dunked up in Choulalalalala Hot Sauce. Wasn't really a fan of the "Barbecue" Potato Chips, they could have been fresher. Service at the bar was pleasant, the staff we encountered while wandering the rooms and playing some games (Big Jenga!) were all friendly. Reading about the Cheese Curds in some of these reviews... I'll be back to try those with some more of that Skee-Ball!

This place has a large amount of seating inside and a small patio out front. The happy hour was buy one get one free but the second drink has to be the same as the first drink ordered. We had their portabella sandwich which was very good!

Stoney's used to be awesome. Their menu was great and it's items were fun. Who doesn't love eating little tiny delicious cheeseburgers?? They got rid of their 'dank nuggets', their sliders, and pretty much everything else that was worth eating and replaced it with cheap, poorly prepared garbage. All their burgers are now steamed, which sounded disgusting but definitely intrigued me, since they got rid of their awesome burgers to make room for these... they had to be good right?! Barf. School cafeteria burgers. Seriously. Texture, flavor, appearance... awful. Avoid at all cost unless they get another menu replacement.

Any place that boasts Bloody Mary bar for only $5 ever Saturday - I am happy. Oh - and they not only play KU basketball games, but transform their whole bar into a Jayhawk wonderland, too: with flat screens everywhere you turn, a DJ that blasts the fight song and Alma Mater, and menus with dishes dedicated to KU characteristics. For a bar, the food is pretty stellar, especially their salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. Considering the overwhelming amount of people that usually occupy the bar, you gotta give it to the the servers that are always on the go trying to cover the crazy crowd. This place isn't small, so I can imagine burning some major calories on game night, hopping from table of one rowdy bunch to another. They also have some state of the art A/V equipment and a huge stage equipped to house all sorts of live entertainment.

Only great things about Stoney's: proximity to my office and happy hour deal (BOGO) - otherwise meh... Came in on Friday to grab a beer and waited for over 10 minutes for a server. My friend and I even tried moving to the bar, when the hostess told us that someone would come over if we went back to the table - still nothing. Really no other reason to stay, so we went around the corner to The Living Room and were served immediately.

Update: My friend and I split the quinoa sliders and the quinoa salad. The sliders were FANTASTIC. That pineapple chutney - oooh weee. Delish. The salad was solid, though nothing to write home about. I love quinoa, but, admittedly, it does take some work to make it taste like more than a filler. In this case, I'd say the salad tasted good, healthy, but nothing I couldn't easily whip up at home. But really, those sliders...

We had a fantastic time last Tuesday, watching the Cardinals game and the 2 for 1 drinks were a plus! We loved our server, Sarah, she did an amazing job! But unfortunately, without any warning, this Tuesday, the 2 for 1 deal disappeared. The three of us all took off work to enjoy the game at the wonderful Stoney's. Some more communication would have been great! Wish I could say I would return but I, as well as my friends, are very disappointed

I absolutely love this bar!! The new menu is amazing and the staff is incredibly cordial and personable. I've honestly not found many spots that make me feel like I'm at home like Stoney's. Hillary, Andrea and Sara are hands down some of the best service personalities in the city. The only way you'd have a bad time here is if you came looking for it. Come one come all!

I was not impressed. I ordered the inferno burger. It came out as sliders. The menu didn't mention that. I was still hungry when I finished. The flavor and spice were pretty good, but that slider thing really ercked me. The fries were okay. My girlfriend got the turkey sandwich. Boring. This may be because she held off the cranberry jalapenos chutney. She is very picky. The BBQ wings were lame. I'm not big on BBQ wings that much. I think that is what buffalo sauce is for. These were exceptionally boring. The beer selection is great. It was the only thing that kept this review at 2 instead of 1 star. This might be a great place to hang with friends and have drinks, but the food was not impressive.

I have been here a few times never again will I make this mistake. Weak drinks after a 20 min wait for them maybe should have had a PBR to pair with the food this Co plenty of good food to choose from. And I get served something out of a box! Not sure if they have had a change in the kitchen cause I had been told that the food was good not so much. I'm thinking they just shop at Costco and up charge and make sure that you wait so you are real hungry for the food so you will not complain. I ordered a different drink from a different bar tender some ginger guy and same deal weak ass drink Im guessing that is how they are trained. So Will and Stoney can put more cash in their fat pockets!! And take it back to Oklahoma with them. This is just the my opinion if you have hours and cash to waste than make your way down to 1111 Lincoln St. And give it a go.

Mainly due to the location and obvious cool name, I made the decision to send a few of our #MJTVIP guests to Stoney's Bar and Grill. Apparently they enjoyed our services at MJ Traveler, as they positively commented via Facebook. Manager Dee was helpful in recommending some tasty beers to their liking and our travelers enjoyed the atmosphere greatly. I look forward to recommending Stoney's to our future MJ Traveler guests.

I've been going to Stoney's since it first opened and it is a favorite of mine. Lots of TV's for football and basketball, good food and the new menu is great. I kind of miss the sliders but I like the full size steamed burgers a lot. The salads are awesome and you have to try the steamed pretzel! They have a great happy hour and I love that they stock all the Deep Eddy flavors and they're included in happy hour. Heather is the best bartender in Denver!!

I came here to watch the super bowl with my friends. We were able to reserve a table for 20 which I found pleasantly surprising. There are plenty of TVs hanging everywhere but I think they are too small. This place needs bigger TVs so you can see the games better. However, it is worth mentioning that although small, the TVs were positioned at proper angles so everyone had a TV to look at. No one was complaining about having to move around to get a good angle. I liked the extensive menu of sliders at this place. Seriously, an entire page of the menu is dedicated to various kinds of sliders. That was very cool and I loved being able to add beef patties to my Salmon sliders for a personal spin on a "surf 'n turf" burger. However, it is important to note that only 2 sliders come in an order here, not 3 like most other places do. If you want a 3rd slider added to your order, you will have to pay extra for each additional slider. The service was good even though the place was full when it came to game time. A solid place to hang out during a sports event. Although, I wish the TVs were bigger and the sliders should come standard with 3 burgers, not 2.

The Dude and I decided to do up a HH that was new to us, more or less nearby, and one that looked good online. I think the $4 "Tapatizers" at Stoney's is what sold me. And if it wasn't the list in its entirety, then it was certainly the "Mac 'n' Cheese Puppies" I saw as one of the food specials. We arrived a little before 6 on a Friday night. The place was busier on one side (and the patio) than the other, but that was fine by us. We had our choice of high tops or regular tables. We got carded at the door, and again when we ordered drinks. Which I thought was weird, but maybe fake IDs disintegrate after one checkpoint, so they were just making sure we were legit (and closer to 30 than 21, really). Stoney's is of the 2-for-1 HH style. Order a drink (select beers, wines, or wells), get one drink and a ticket to redeem your second. The tickets are good for half an hour after HH ends, which I think is pretty cool. Also, the beers are jumbo (to me). So unless you can really put them away (and hell, probably even if you can), the 2-for-1 is a deal. For my two-fer I got clementine vodka and soda; the server had a list of flavored vodkas that are on HH so mix it up if you like! For food, I ordered an entree-size house salad and those Mac 'n' Cheese Puppies. Because the salad totally cancels out the Pups. Right. Anyway, the house salad is one of the best I've had: mixed greens, tomatoes, GOAT CHEESE, croutons, and maybe some other stuff I'm forgetting. The ranch I ordered on the side was solid. It also doubled as a dipping delight for some of Dude's tots that came alongside his two sliders. The MNC-Pups were definitely better while they were hot; as they sat and cooled the filling kind of gummed up. The idea of course, is if they last past the hot stage because they are tasty. I think Stoney's has a lot of potential to be a semi-regular spot for me. I've only been three times (once for a Yelp event, once on a random Saturday night, and then this HH), but can definitely foresee going again. Their drink and food specials are good, and the HH runs 'til 7 (a big plus). Service was friendly enough and efficient for sure. And if all that's not enough, they also have Skee-Ball, y'all.

Went to Stoney's last night for a quick drink and appetizer with friends. They could use a bigger beer selection but the food is good (bar food) and so is the atmosphere. Our server Elaine was attentive and friendly, wish we has shown up during happy hour for some specials!

This might be a cool place to hang out on a Friday night, I wouldn't know. But don't eat here. We went here looking for a quick bite on a day that was kinda dead. The sliders all sound so good. But I guess I'm easily impressed, not being from the area, with so many meat options. I mean, elk! Come on... where do you even get elk outside of Colorado. Anyway, I was really excited to try Mary's Little Lamb which are lamb sliders with goat cheese and "mint-jalapeno chimichurri." So my sliders came out and what they call chimichurri was jelly... and a lot of it. Then the buns were S-O-G-G-Y. As if they had been dipped in water before serving. I ended up eating just the lamb (which was good) of one slider and leaving the other one. Definitely meh. Generic sports bar, generic subpar food.

I've never been a Stoney's fan but I'm finding myself there more often these days so... There isn't really a tangible reason not to like it, and I probably don't go there just because its down the street from my favorite bar so lets look at the facts rather than my personal aversion. The goods: I'm digging Monday night football complete with football bingo. Even the non-football obsessed can appreciate following the bingo game with a chance at winning prizes/ free shots. There are a ton of tvs showing all the games so you aren't fighting for a seat with a view. We've been for both MMA fights and football games on the big screen. Bags/Cornhole and ski-ball. Its a huge place so there is always room for a big group. Pitchers of beer. Why its taking me a while to get on the bandwagon: The food is just eh. I know everyone says the tater tots are great and I'll admit I haven't ordered the smothered ones which is apparently where its at but the plain ones we had recently tasted a lot like soap. I've tried contacting them twice about having events there and never get a response to the emails. I've never had great service, although I have friends who would tell you they really like the staff. No pool table.

I'd love to give this place a better review, but frankly, the service here is very hit or miss. Lately, it seems mostly miss. As I sit here, I see a couple who was seated long after me and get service much sooner. Then, when my clearly disinterested server comes by, she does get me a drink, but doesn't give me even a chance to order food. Now I have a cocktail and I don't want to drink it quickly because I am starving. Considering that on a recent trip I left without ever ordering because my roommate and I were ignored for so long, they are not doing well. The only reason I am not rating them lower is because I have had good experiences here in the past.

It's always a little weird when I write a review for the first time for a place i have been to more times than I can count. But I feel the need to mention our service. I came here Saturday with a couple of my gals who were registering for a race the next day. We sat down and were greeted very quickly by a friendly young gal, whose name I am ashamed to admit escapes me. She offered us the 2 for 1 Fat Tire special going on, and checked back when our final member arrived. We ordered some wings, and our third got a slider plate. Unfortunately, when we tasted the wings, we really didn't care for them. I explained to our server who promptly apologized, asked us what we would like instead, and brought it to us. We went with the American sliders, and were much happier. She deserves props, because she handled the whole table like a pro, straightforward about everything, friendly, and continually checked up on us without being a nuisance. I was very impressed with this young lady, and I hope that whomever reads this reviews can track her down and give her the pat on the back that she deserves. Besides that, I do like this place, it's spacious, has a good beer list, and is a decent place for live music as well. The food menu isn't terribly impressive, so I prefer to just have drinks here. Stoney's gets 4 stars in itself, Saturday afternoon deserves 5.

This is a difficult place to review. On the surface, there's nothing wrong with Stoney's. Patio (albeit a small one), a stage for small bands, bar games, and a decent happy hour should all add up to a 5-star worthy bar. Yet somehow, it's doesn't. Rather, I give 3 stars for the following: the food is slightly above average for bar food, the beer on tap is pretty typical for a LoDo bar (it's not in LoDo obviously), and the place is both large and oddly laid out. This last quality makes having any kind of intimate experience--whether with your group or meeting new people--rather difficult. And that's ok; sometimes all you want is a two-for-one happy hour and decent food in a cavernous bar. Stoney's won't let you down on that front. But sometimes you want more.

We're from out of town and came because it's the OU alumni bar. I'm impressed with the healthy options on the menu. The quinoa salad was delicious and I added shrimp to it, very good. My husband liked the sliders and fries. Decent beer selection too. Lots of TVs and overall fun place. Boomer!

GLUTEN FREE MENU NOW!!! KU BASKETBALL GAMES, AMONG OTHER SPORTING EVENTS!!! I had the gluten free sliders and yes they even had a gluten free bun and they made sure to toast the bun away from the area they toast the regular buns and I'm happy to report I didn't have any issues. They offer a gluten free beer but they be better off offering the New Planet Tread Lightly or Bards Tale because the one they offer now isn't great. Thank you Stoney's for putting together this gluten free menu, it was no fun in the past watching my friends eat and drink, and now I can join them!

I volunteered for a charity event being held at Stoney's. It seems a nice bar - it's big and they have two stages for live music. They also have a lot of games for people to play. Although I didn't eat, the food *looked* good. Their menu offers a wide variety - including food for people who eat clean. Oddly, they do not have burgers - just sliders. Happy hour is 4 - 7 and it's 2 for 1, which is great. I think they need more televisions to watch sports, but I'm a sports fanatic, so, my POV could be biased. I did have 2 *big* issues with Stoney's and they were the service and adherence to food and sanitation standards. First our server- he would come to the group and ask one or two people if they needed anything and ignore the rest of us. I had to go to the bar to get a soda. He saw me and chided his coworker for helping me because I was part of his table. It was ridiculous. Also, when participants came back from the event (scavenger hunt), there was water set up for them at the front of the restaurant. A group sat down and I overheard them asking him for water. He pointed to the water up front and actually made them get up and get their own water. So rude! Later, he approached me and asked if anyone had taken my food order. I told him no and he said "okay" and left. He never came back. Another server, who was really good, came and asked me if I wanted something later, but, by then, I had experienced something that made me not want to eat there. I was sitting at a table and a different server came to deliver a tray of food to a table and he actually set the tray full of food down at the table where I was sitting--right in front of me. What if I had sneezed at that point? The table I was sitting at also had t-shirts all over it. What if the tray was dirty and it ruined some of the shirts? It was really inappropriate. You do not put someone else's food on an occupied table. I also witnessed another server trying to deliver a basket of fries to a table. There was a crowd of people in front of him. Instead of going around them, he literally put his hands on each person and moved them out of his way. It wasn't forceful, but, again, inappropriate for an server to put his hands on and displace customers. Then, there was the ladies' room. First, the door to the ladies' room was propped open. Why? I do not know. I believe that is a health code violation. The toilet bowl tank lid was broken and jagged. Someone could cut themselves on it. They should really put some tape on the edges of the broken porcelain. Then, for some reason, there is a big hole in the wall in one of the stalls. A hole in the wall of a public ladies' room stall makes me very nervous. I would never go back and consume food from Stoney's. I don't think service, safety and cleanliness are important to them and they are very important to me.

Poor quality food and drinks. They also didn't have several things on the menu and could not alter my meal because 'it's already made'. Seriously if it weren't for all the TVs I don't know how this place would stay in business there's so many better places in Denver with much better service and quality of food and drink for the same price.

Doesn't take reservations for trivia anymore. Waiters don't know what's on draft. Told that the Thursday night game wouldn't be on the big screen because of trivia. It is. Terrible wait staff training.

Went here last night with a bunch of friends from out of town who were staying at the Burnsley Hotel downtown for a wedding. When I walked in, it looked to be an interesting place--Bags, Skeeball, and a trivia contest. That said... To be blunt, the service sucked. We had no fewer than three different people serving us, if you want to call what we got service. It seemed that there was a longer and longer wait each time. Food was missing. Drinks that were ordered didn't show up. And I really didn't feel welcome (nor did the rest of my party) the entire time. I ordered an Absolut screwdriver and was given Ketel instead, per the receipt. Not exactly the same thing. The food that I ordered was good, but I think the menu is pathetic. A bunch of sliders, some appetizers, wraps, and a couple salads is it. There are no hamburgers or sandwiches to speak of. What kind of bar that features sports doesn't offer a burger? One of my friends was interested in their wings challenge, only to be told that they were out of the sauce. I find that to be inexcusable--something you pimp in your menu and you're out? C'mon. We also asked our less-than-helpful server where the wall was with the people who completed the challenge and she didn't know that either. Something that I find amusing is that for all the other reviews that mention them constantly IDing, I didn't get carded once, despite looking about 19. The stars are for the bartender in the back bar (who we visited at the very end of our visit) who helped me find a liquor comparable to Jeremiah Weed and for the pulled pork sliders. The rest of it I can leave.

Ok, so I went back to Stoney's to meet a couple friends and play a little Golden Tee. This time, I got a parking space right out front, so I'm thinking, "hey, this could be all right... maybe the other night I was here was just 'one of those days.'" The place wasn't crowded for a Friday night happy hour, so I find my pals at the bar and order a marg. But first, I ask the "bro" behind the bar if the house margs (2-for-1 happy hour) are fresh made there. He says in a confident bro-swagger, "of course". I say, "I'm in" and then watch him shoot pre-made marg mix into my glass from the gun. You gotta be f-in kidding me. He puts my drink down, cowardly turns away before I can call him out, then he proceeds to ignore us for the next 45 minutes as our second drink coupons expire. We finally flagged down another bartender and got our 2-for drinks, but in a not so crowded bar, these guys suck at thier jobs. Oh, and I got food too... all about second chances this night. Distusting, soggy tator tots smothered in cheese whiz with that goddam crappy green chili on top (which I told them to hold, and they didnt.) Needless to say, I will not be back for thirds.

Interesting concept! For all intents and purposes this is a sport bar and more. The theme is definitely Colorado mountain. Open only a week, decorated with trees, snowboards, skateboards, a gondola photobooth....what?! Yes and a pool table that reminded me of the outdoor pool tables you find at ski resorts only indoors...almost outside. The food starts out as traditional bar food, but with a twist. Mostly sliders at decent proportions, with interesting chef creation type flavors. I had and Elk slider meal with a wine reduction/horseradish dip. The fries come in many formats and flavors, like the parmesan truffle fries (did not try yet). I also tasted the shrimp salad which was delicious. To share we had the fried avocado with a ghost pepper dip. All good in this ski resort atmosphere, outdoor/indoor feel with garage doors to determine what was actual. Outside seating looked fun. Friendly staff. Will be back to try the lamb tacos. Dave

Bummer, again and again! I tried to go back for a fun trivia night but this place has fallen off of my radar for a reason! First, they changed the trivia from TFO to another okay version, but they played ridiculous long songs b/w each question prolonging the torture of being thirsty and sucking more of the evening than necessary. Second the service is as awful as usual. I have no issues with decent service from either gender, but all the guys who serve here are punks and that is a majority of the servers! There is one rockin server girl who is a short brunette, but other than that what a bunch of aggressive creeps. Plus, it is annoying when they have a guard at the door checking ID's and the bartender and your server all want to see them again. The worst part about last time: guy gave me lots of guff about ordering a strongbow cider and MORE GUFF ABOUT USING THE YELP CHECK IN DEAL! Yes, both my bf and I have technological devices in which we can each access the $1 pint Yelp deal. Our whole table does. I guess you want me to update my review explaining your ruining my evening. Here you go! They get two stars because the Yelpapalooza event was fun, but this place has gotten worse each visit. Spend your time and money somewhere else.

*** YELPER BEWARE !! ** PAY WITH CASH ONLY !! I have had my Credit Card DOUBLE CHARGED on TWO occasions now! The place for Sunday NFL action. Although it is a New Orleans Saints Bar-- Stoney's has a place for ALL NFL Teams including the hometown Orange and Blue Faithful such as me. I have tried eating here a few times and would have to agree with most other Yelpers. No Dice. No matter what when or where- the food always seems to arrive either cold, not cooked correctly, missing ingredients or an "interesting combo" of all. Drinks= great. Also I must mention I do enjoy the $1.00 Draft Beer Yelp Mobile App Check-In special. Service= hit and miss. Hey-- this place gets PACKED EVERY Sunday!

Being a Saints bar, my friends and I stopped her to celebrate Mardi Gras and wow. S=super awesome specials. i mean what's better than 3 for 1 hurricanes? seriously? nothing :) O=outstanding wait staff. we had about 9 people in our party and our sever was on top of his game and made sure our drinks were always full :) N=nom-noms galore! my favorite? cheese curds. love! E=excellent space for games [beer pong or cornhole anyone?], a live band all in forest/camping decor mixed with college sports flags. awesome. Y=yelptastic specials. not only do they hook up us yelpers, but they go out of their way to ensure a great experience for everyone :) ' S=sooooo worthy of a return. *as others mentioned, i'd stick with cash here. i didn't use my credit card, but others that did, were charged double. boo.

Huge bar with lots of TVs if the saints are playing 75% of them will be singing who dat. They have lots of specials though. with so many bars in the area I wouldn't come back here unless you plan on arriving early to grab a seat. The waitstaff aren't the most helpful and it takes a while to get anything including a menu. They know they will be busy during any sporting event so they don't even try to wow you...

I have to give the place high marks as a really fun atmosphere for watching a Broncos game. But the service SUCKS! Don't know if every game day is this bad, or just our waitress was horrible, but I'm not sure whether I'll go back. I'd like to be able to review the food, and we were planning to order their burgers, but after our waitress completely ignored us for 45 MINUTES we finally gave up and left.

Stoney's Bar and Grill is the official location of the Denver "Cupid's Undie Run" and for good reason. Each year Stoney is extremely generous in offering up his entire restaurant/bar to us to use for our fundraising underwear event. His staff is great at what they do! Not only are they very helpful, but they go above and beyond to have patience with our event and our participants. There is almost always something unique and fun going down at Stoney's - not to mention the drink specials and delicious bar food! If you haven't paid them a visit, add it to your list.

Cheese curds, cheese curds, cheese curds! Heavenly fried cheese in bite size morsels. Every time I come here I order their cheese curds. I had been to this place once or twice when it was the previous iteration (Andrew's, was it?) and Stoney's vastly improved the space. It's big and open and everything a sports bar should be. Seriously, if you want it fried, Stoney's probably has it on the menu. This place also has great happy hour specials of 2-for-1 wells and drafts. And I'm talking 22 oz drafts. None of this sissy pint action. I find it's great to get two beers and split the $6 cost with a friend. The one thing that I think this place needs to work on is the speed of their food service. It always seems slow, even when there's relatively few people in the bar. Overall, Stoney's, I salute you for being the non-douchey, cheap and fun bar in this little corner of the triangle.

The Chicken Sliders are the greatest Chicken sandwich on the planet!!! It consists of Chicken Fried Chicken, mashed Potatoes and Sausage gravy...OUTSTANDING! Sliders are their specialty...they probably have 12 of so to choose from. Stoney's is a great place to catch a game, get some dinner or just drop in for Happy hour. They have a stage and bands play on weekends. Food is amazing...they have lots of drink specials and probably close to 30 HD tv's. Love this place!!! Try it once and you'll be a regular.

I'm only giving Stoney's two stars because I know it used to be better only a few months ago when I really enjoyed going there. Up until then I loved it all summer. The food was slightly different but good. The portions were better and didn't look so sloppy. Cheese curds used to be my favorite. Now they look like they are scraps of cheese breaded and tasted like they were fried too long. Staff at the bar is slow, inattentive and forgetful. The girl at the bar said she was new and apologized often. The last bartender, I think he was a manager (Mack), and the others working were much faster and kinder. Never had nor saw anyone waiting to be served or addressed. You have to wonder what businesses/companies are thinking when they change out their staff too often. You get people that don't know what they are doing. I look forward to coming to Stoney's and seeing familiar staff faces. I guess that wont happen anymore there. I don't plan on recommending Stoney's to anyone.

How do you post negative stars? Worst game day service I have ever experienced! Seated promptly, and the waiting started: 15 minutes on the server. 15 minutes with empty beverages before ordering the next round. Waited 30 minutes to close our tab. After 30 minutes walked up to the server to request the bill. Waited an additional 30 minutes for another server to come by and ask if we needed anything only to request the tab again.... still waiting...

Love this place! Such a fun, ColoRADo atmosphere.... the decor includes an old ski gondola, ski maps, vintage skis and fake pine trees. There is a pool table and skee- ball and enough TV screens to watch every game on every network. The food is great, high class bar food.... do you know any other bar where you can order a quinoa salad with seared Ahi? They have tater tots with sriacha ketchup, elk french dip sandwiches and buffalo sliders, sweet potato fries and endless drink specials (2 for one's EVERY time if you get a Stoney's club card!) I could go on and on... I only wish I lived closer to the neighborhood.

I love this bar! The happy hour was great and we got to watch the Saint's play!! It's a great place to bring friends and our server was excellent and attentive! The food was reasonably priced and they had Crystal's hot sauce!!! Great experience, I will definitely be back with friends.

Ugggh, Stoneys. Otherwise known in my book as the douche-magnet of Cap Hill. I had to come here on a Friday night with some friends that wanted to go (despite my objections, I was outnumbered). After paying a $5 cover for a crappy band I didn't care to see, just so we could go inside for a 30-minute drink, I shimmied up to the bar, pushing my way through the crowd of sloppy drunk, fresh off campus 22-year-olds. The bartender was rude, and on my way to find a table, some dude plows into me, spilling my drink all over me. Homeboy is so drunk he either doesn't realize it, or is such an ass that he didn't feel the need to apologize. I also find it really annoying that they ask for your ID at the door, and again at the bar. Plus there's ALWAYS a cover on the weekends. Granted it's not very much, but this is a bar, not a nightclub, and I'd rather spend my money at a different sports bar with better service and cooler crowd. On the upside, I've been to Stoney's for happy hour before, which wasn't horrible. The bar food was pretty good and the place is huge so it was easy to get a table.

This place is OK. It's a fine bar to check out a game in, but it has several flaws. First, lets start out with the pros: tons of TVs, all games on Sunday, tons of games on Saturday. A go to bar for KU, OU, New Orleans and Green Bay. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is pretty neat. Generally, it's clean, and there are tons of menu choices. Drink specials are pretty decent. Now the rest. The airflow sucks, so it can get pretty toasty if it's not opened up. And even then, if it's busy, it will get hot. If you're in the back bar, it's even worse. I shouldn't be sweating while sitting with a cold drink in a bar in October. While the service is friendly, it is SLOWWWW. Like, glacial slow. The glaciers are laughing as they blow by in the passing lane of I-25. 45 minutes for 2 sliders and fries? 6-8 minutes for a beer? The place seems to be understaffed. Third, the food is OK, but not great. Our table got three different things - po boy sliders with truffle fries, lamb sliders with tater tots, and pulled pork sliders with sweet potato fries. All of them were OK, but nothing great. Pretty mundane for the wait and the hype of their sliders. Mixed drinks were poured pretty weak. I'll probably go back for a beer during a game, but not much else.

I like Stoney's. It's probably the best bar to occupy this space in the 7 years that I have lived in Denver. Sure, the service can be slow, but the drinks are cheap - and BIG! I was here most recently for NYE, and the party was poppin'! They brought in a DJ, served a free buffet of food at midnight, and did 2-for-1 New Belgium Shift beers to support their "Shift into the New Year" theme party. A good time was had by all! This is also a great place for sports-watching and bar game playing. Lots of TVs, and Skee Ball! Thanks for being my neighbor, Stoney's.

I am shocked by all of the reviews of Stoney's on here, we have been regulars here for years and have never had some of the problems that people mention on here. While there is lots to love about Stoney's - the happy hour, the trivia, the football Sundays - they do have a few hiccups, specifically the constantly changing menu and the sometimes slow service. This review, however, is specifically about last night.... We arrived at Stoney's for their third annual crawfish boil. This year rather than do the boil during the day they opted to do the boil at night. When we arrived it was clear that the night was not starting as they had planned - an event from earlier in the day had run long and they were in the process of trying to transition the restaurant for the boil and manage 100s of half naked drunk people. However, this was handled in a really professional way, our group was quickly given a table, and while the waitstaff and busboys managed moving furniture and the crowd, the hosts waited on tables. Eventually the crew from the day event left and the boil began, as is to be expected, the line was long and took a while. They started speeding through people, but eventually ran out and had to wait for the next batch to cook. This ended up taking a loooong time. Rather than leaving people waiting and grumpy, the started passing out PBR tall boys, food, and free shots. The line started moving again, and the crawfish was plentiful. Kudos to Stoney's for handling a potentially difficult situation with great customer service!

I have been here numerous times as I live close by - each experiance is hit or miss. For a football game this place is always packed out... like you better get there pretty early or you may not have a place to even stand. This is expected though and makes for a fun atmosphere. The food is typical bar food - not great and not bad and definately not good for you-- so typically we come here for drinks and snacks. I love the games they have (ski ball, jenga, etc). Service is usually pretty average speed/quality. The reason for the two stars is based on a recent experiance. We came here on Halloween... so the place was pretty crowded (even early on, we only stayed from probably 8pm-9pm). We had a very nice waitress who took our small order and asked for a credit card on file that she had to keep and "hold on file". I assume they do this because when it's so crazy they have people who try dine and ditch... so I handed over my debit card for her to keep. An hour later we went to pay for our meal (we had a small group) and someone else paid for everything on their card. I am not used to giving my card upfront to someone, and completely forgot the waitress was "holding" my card.... so my bad for forgetting and she was probably too busy to remember. We left and literally 5 minutes later on the way home I realized she still had my card. I was riding with others so thought I will just go back first thing in the am and retrieve.... the next day when I showed up the staff working that day could not find my card. They kind of treated me as though I must have forgotten and been drunk and incorrectly blamed them for having it. I realize that lots of people probably think they have left their cards at establishments before after a night of drinking (such as halloween) however I was completely sober at 9 pm when I left here. I tried to explain who my waitress was and what time we left, but basically was brushed off. I ended up having to cancel my card and reorder via bank. I'm still sure that my old debit card is somewhere inside this place under a stack of 100 others... o well.

Condensed version: Great lunch specials, sports on the many TVs, excellent selection of beer on tap, tater tots, and skee-ball! What's not to love? Longer version: I work right across the street in the Chancery, so I stop in Stoney's pretty frequently for take-out. They have a great lunch menu, with some sliders costing only $5, and that includes tots! TOTS, people! Where can you get tots anymore? :) Stoney's! My personal favorite has to be the Buffalo Chicken sliders, and let me tell you, they don't skimp! The chicken hangs off both sides of the bun - it is easily enough meat for a full size sandwich. They also run daily specials, like tacos for a buck or two... if you live or work around here, you've certainly seen their dancing sandwich board guy over the past couple months. Seriously Stoney's, give that guy a raise! I can see him from my office, and that dude dances his ass off for, what, three hours a day? In July and August? Damn! Anyway, I've also been in a couple times for drinks. Once at a normal hour, sometime around 10pm, and once much later, I think a little after 1am. As always, if it's after 1am, my memory is a little fuzzy. Well, on those drinking outings, service has been a little slow, but still pretty friendly. No complaints - they were busy. Overall, I think the bar is more fun than many - they have a couple short skee-ball runs, arcade games, etc. It does get pretty crowded at night, but I have yet to see a "Girls Gone Wild" bus parked in front of Stoney's, which I did see when it was Andrew's (a couple years ago). No GGW = Excellent, IMHO. All I want to see are golden mounds of tots.

Surprisingly not bad! Admittedly not my scene, but I liked it more than I thought I would. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to use a dangerously-close-to-expiring Groupon (or was it Living Social?) deal. Happy hour was going on. It was 2 for 1 on draft beers. I had been playing beer-drinking kickball immediately prior to stopping in so I did not need 2 for 1, but it was a nice gesture. Unfortunately they follow these-beers-are-so-large-you'll-explode-before-you-can-drink-two model that Gov's also employs. They're $6 each and 23 ounces....a bit cheaper than Gov's, and they have a decent selection. I went for Agave Wheat. I'd be better off with a 16 ounce though. The menu is awesome. There are about fifteen different sliders (with ample options for the veggie folk including a black bean and caprese) and a variety of fried things with another fifteen different dipping sauces to choose from and beer pairing suggestions for everything on their menu. The boyfriend and I shared a fried sampler of avocado, onion rings, and pickles (in spear form). The breading on all of the snacks was really crispy and tasty. The sampler comes with ranch, but you can pick three other sauces. Our server was pretty attentive and personable. We ended up not getting our free beer, so next time I'll just have to go thirstier. Also, Sunday afternoon is extremely low key and pleasant, and they have a big patio. I'd probably like it much less on a busy night or during a game of some sort.

You did it Stoney's...up'd one star for me! With your deals during football games, I pretty much live here on Sundays, and the addition of Rock and Roll bingo (I WON and I NEVER win anything) you have earned a spot in my heart! I still don't eat here, drinking only for this lady..But all of my friends eat here and swear the food is great. Between Football season, being close to my house, and acting as a fabulous venue for Yelpapalooza 3.5 I have really come to love Stoney's far more than when I first reviewed. Keep this up and who knows how many stars you could earn, bearing in mind five is the max?!

Yet another long overdue review. I remember when this place was Andrew's on Lincoln. My last visit to Andrew's I was served a frozen Bud Light, (taps were dirty and that was the only "cold" beer they had). Like a phoenix rising from the shitty coke filled ashes of AoL, Stoney's now offers consistently solid drinks/food/atmosphere. I've been here for a variety of mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Every time has been a blast. The crowd varies from the uber-sports fanatic to the skinny jeans hipster to that one old guy who always looks one drink away from kicking the bucket, but somehow mows down 8 double gin and tonics. Respect. Speaking of drinks, the happy hour here is pretty damn legit. 2 for 1s on wells and drafts, and the beers are Gov's Park-style large! The nice thing is they give you a ticket for your next beer, instead of bringing both at once. Just get a double if you are ordering wells, ordering two singles is for communists. Stoney's recently started a monthly home brewing event that is actually legit, (we got to talk to a brewer from New Belgium). They already have a nice little lineup of micro brews on tap, and there is talk of devoting a tap in the back bar to limited release beers from CO breweries like Odell and New Belgium. It does get pretty crowded for sporting events which I know is a turn-off for some people. The back bar is usually a little less packed, so head back there if the main bar is crowded... there's your Pro Tip for the day. Man, the food here has never disappointed. Granted I'm usually 5 or 6 Jamos deep before I eat, but the slider-focused menu is perfect for the buzzed grub-down. It's also a great place to recover from an evening out; tons of fried food to help soak up that devil booze moshing around in your gut. What is one to do if sitting around shooting the shit at a bar isn't your thing? There is skee ball and corn hole to keep active drunks occupied, which I totally respect. They also have a stage for live bands and when they clear out the tables there is a nice open space for dance battling. I'll be the guy krumping in the corner, come say hi!

I came here for trivia on a Thursday night with a friend from college. The place is really big and has divided up the space appropriately. Pool tables and games off to one end of the bar, seating area and a stage in another, and a somewhat private area with an additional bar (would be great for a private party). I enjoyed drinking a Blue Moon from one of their large pilsner glasses. I saw a lot of different meals come out from nachos to wraps, good to know they also offer food here. I met quite a few people here and think this is will continue to be a fun bar to go to with their wide variety of activities, drinks specials and events that they offer.

Let me just ask you a couple of questions... Do you like tater tots? How about if they are served with sriracha ketchup? Do you like waffle fries? How about if they are served with a brown sugar drizzle? Do you like cheese curds? Truffle french fries? Fried avocado, zucchini, okra, or even pickles (served with cucumber wasabi aioli)? Would you be interested in mini corn dogs, jerk seasoned chicken wings, or a mini brat trio made of bratwurst, hot italian, and a jalapeno polish sausage served with caramelized onions and horseradish dijon? If any of these sound appealing to you then you will love the appetizer and basket menu at Stoney's just like me. Stoney's is a bar, a really, really big bar with a great staff and deliciously bad for you fried food. You can watch spots, play corn hole, trivia, pool, or even skeeball, or just enjoy one of the many beers on tap while listening to live music. But, oh man the fried pickles (slices not spears or minis) are enough to keep me coming back time after time after time...

I really want to like this place but all I can muster up is 3 stars. Mostly, those stars come from two words: SKEE BALL! Service leaves a lot to be desired tho. It's not uncommon for bartenders to pass by multiple times as they pretend to look busy. I had heard that a good drink is a Corona with Grenadine. I asked the bartender if he had both to which he says, "yes." He comes back with a Corona in a can and some cherry juice from a jar...really, I mean really? Don't say yes and then pass it off as something else! As far as bar food goes I would call it middle ground. The tater tots and wraps are pretty good but how you can mess up a BLT is beyond me. The cinnamon waffle fries are terrible too - good try but it's a fail. I enjoy the fact that there is live trivia and bean bags, and LOTS of room.

Gave it a 4-star instead of 5 because the food is great, but the service can be a little slacking, especially when they get busy. I think they just need more staff during their busy times. What I like about their food is that is is bar food, but cranked up a notch. They also have interesting healthier options, like turkey burgers and quinoa salad, that some other bars don't offer. I have been here twice in the last month and will definitely be back.

Crispy, melty, cravy, meaty, yummy. A menu that is a tribute to sliders. I love it. A few creative variations (Elk and Bologna) and plenty of well executed standard varieties. In all something like 15 types of sliders. There was a host of fried tasty starters, but we did not get them this visit. Next time, the "dank nugs"- a corn and jalapeno fritter. This place is big, so groups would do well here for a few beers and pub grub. Standard service. Not extraordinary, and not bad either. I'd go back, but not on a diet!

I had heard rumors that Stoney's was harboring cheese curds. So when I saw that they were one of the host venues for the Westword Music Showcase, I knew I had to pop in to check out some tunes and the food! I'd imagine on a normal business day, there are plenty of seating options. But since we had come on such a crazy afternoon, we had to wait like vultures to secure a table. While we waited and listened to the local music act on stage, we drank our $3 beers. After finally snagging a spot to rest, our server promptly came by and took our orders. I was very impressed with how good the service was for such a busy day! We waited perhaps 10 minutes before our cheese curds and entrees were served! Yes, all of you Cheeseheads out there, you read that correctly. CHEESE CURDS are available at Stoney's! *cue angels singing* And you know, they were very tasty! Pipping hot and served up with marinara sauce and ranch dressing by request. Oh my little Wisconsin heart was so pleased to finally have real cheese curds! Okay, I could write poetry about these deep fried treats, but I'll continue on to my entree. I opted for the Buffalo Chicken Spinach Wrap. Wow! I was really impressed! Very spicy and delicious. Had I not had a handful of cheese curds, I most certainly would've enjoyed every last bit of this wrap. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the tots. I am so happy Denver's currently on a tatter-tots kick. Glad to find them as options to french fries. Overall, I really enjoyed Stoney's! Much different type of venue than I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised. Since we came on a very atypical afternoon, I'll be sure to get back and see how they measure up on a regular day. Great food, great beer, great staff! I'll be back soon!

Stoney's is one of my go-to destinations when it comes to happy hour, a night out with friends or catching most sporting events on TV. The atmosphere at Stoney's can not be beat. It's "Colorado" themed. With snowboards, skis, skateboards and the like decorating the walls. There is even an old gondola and even a little mountain scene complete with a pond. Stoney's is host to a myriad of charity events as well, which earns a star just for that. Stoney's is mindful of it's community and supportive in any way it can. Which brings me to the beer..... mostly local brews on tap and in consideration of the environment they only serve beer from taps or in cans. I can get down with that!! The food is good, typical bar food but always yummy. Lots of sliders to choose from as well as a variety of tasty fried goods, including but not limited to tater tots (!), cheese curds, quinoa balls and the like. It's good for soaking up the beer and booze of which there is always something on special. Lots of games and TV's galore to keep you entertained. It's a Saints bar as well, one of the only ones in the metro area that I am aware of....so this is where Jenni goes to watch her football. Who Dat!!

Fantastic place to watch sports. Nachos were not good, but still a fun time

I like this sports bar a lot. Great service, food (sliders), adult beverages. This is a KU bar which I love but they also flirt with OU (Oklahoma) and the Saints on Sundays so they lose one star for cheating on my boys. Otherwise 5 stars.

Very cool bar. Thank you for hosting the yelp event on Friday. The servers and bartenders did a great job of keeping up with all of us. Will definitely have to come back and visit.

I want to like Stoneys. good happy hour. big space (but it's always packed or dead). $1 tacos on Tuesdays. good selection of drinks. food is pretty hit or miss. I've had good things and I've had some pretty terrible things. there are usually random drunk girls dancing and singing near the stage at late night which is fun for people watching. one incident that stuck out - it was around 1:30 am so I ordered a double tall and started drinking it. the bar announced last call and shots only. a few minutes later a waitress walked over and without saying a word took my drink out of my hand and threw it away. yes, I get that it was last call and they wanted us out. the lights were not on. and worse - the bartender was still pouring shots for the people next to me. I was seriously floored and pissed off. I'll keep going to Stoneys for the late night happy hour but man, not impressed overall as of now (and I've been 10+ times).

I like this bar. Super fun place to watch a game. Food is decent though not great. Service is really good, especially considering how busy the place normally is. The ladies rooms are FOUL though. One of three is closed and it looks like there was a fairly serious plumbing incident that never received a proper clean up. Gross. Please clean and repair!

This place is great. They always have sweet drink specials and their new menu is killer. Yes, it gets super busy when it comes to some football or basketball games but that's what makes it so fun. You're surrounded by people who love the game just as much as you do. Also if you're planning on going during a larger sports event, just be smart about it. Don't walk in 10 minutes before the game with a group of 10 and expect to get a seat. And yes, when it's packed it does take longer to get a drink but again, just be smart (and courteous) about it... order 2 at a time. Those girls work really hard, give them a break. All in all I'm a fan. If you just practice some common sense and have some patience you are sure to have a good time. PLUS THEY HAVE GIANT JENGA AND SKI BALL!

  • Diana A.

I agree with the other reviews- great group, new hangout spot. This place is huge and it does fill up. They always have fun stuff going on, if its game watches or skeeball/corn hole tourneys. They also have shot skis which are so much fun. We tried the sliders and tots - delicious! If you become a fan of them on facebook you will see they have specials and fun stuff happening almost everyday.

A group of us went to Stoney's today for lunch to eat something instead of the usual $1 taco Tuesday feast. Our waitress Ashley was courteous and had good knowledge of the menu items. To my surprise the Inferno sliders paired with the jambalaya was a good combination. The jambalaya was seasoned well, contained generous meat portions and had a tolerable amount of heat. Upon first slider bite, I remember thinking these aren't as hot as I had hoped. The ghost pepper aioli was good, but the habanero and jalapeno peppers sparse. As I finished the first slider I realized It was a good thing. The flavor was not overshadowed by blistering napalm type heat. After finishing my meal, I was left wanting a third slider. Not because the portions were small, but because the meld of flavors were balanced and complimented each other. I plan to return in the coming weeks to sample other items.

This place is literally less than two blocks from my apartment so I can get wasty-faced and stumble home quite easily. This = A-OK in my book. It's a chill neighborhood bar, if a little out of place (it's a shiny college-esque sports bar in the middle of hipster/divey Cap Hill). Not that I don't dig it. I totes do. They have ski-ball and bags, which are always fun, but especially fun when you're drinking. The first dozen times I came (I said came haha), we were only drinking. Prices are typical for the area and they have generally have specials on all the shitty beers if it tickles your fancy. We have branched out a bit more recently and tried some grub. Thumbs up for the Hunter's Platter and the Quinoa Balls... But then again, I'll like almost anything that "balls" in the title. As far as the service- some good, some ok. Mostly ok. A couple of the bartenders are pretty good at managing when there's high traffic, and everyone is pretty "pleasant". The waitresses, however, seem to get distracted pretty easily. The times that we've sat at a table instead of the bar, we had to get up and track down our waitress for just about everything: ordering, silverware, more beer, the check... It's annoying, sure, and I would be livid about it at most other places, but I guess I didn't have super high expectations to start out with. I don't know why, but I'll let it slide. Also, if you're looking for "talent", this is probs not your best bet. Not really an eye-candy kind of ambience. And they'll have bands come thru once and a while, for which they'll charge a cover (usually $10). Cover charges can blow me. It costs less than that to cab it downtown/South Broadway, so we always say, "Peace out Stoney's. We'll see ya on a weekday." We'll keep coming back for the convenience factor and ski ball domination.

  • Jason L.

This place is kinda bizarre. Almost like it doesn't belong in Colorado. It's like someone transported a college bar from Gainsville or somewhere down south and dropped it in CapHill. That being said: I dig it. What if I were to say you could have tater tots dipped in Sriracha Ketchup? Is that something that might interest you? Well if not, we aren't likely going to be friends. Stoney's is worth checking out, if for not other reason than to ponder the motivation behind their crazy diorama's throughout the bar.

You know when you're talking to your friends and one is like "Man, I'd really like to go to a place that has corn hole, karaoke, a fake fish pond, wood floors, great drink deals, a white bartender named Chris Brown, and walls that open like Heaven's gates..." Well, be the friend that chimes in next time by answering that yearn with "Stoney's!" I live two blocks from Stoney's and it is definitely a great location to go with friends and great place to make friends! The service is generally pretty awesome, the drinks are somewhat pricey, but they have 2 for 1s between 4-7pm, and they have a great layout for sports watching (and are always willing to change the channel to hockey and/or competitive speed walking). I can't speak much to their food as I haven't eaten much of it, but their truffle fries are divine! There's a patio, score! There's skeeball, double score! There's a stage with a couch on it, which I'm sure someone has scored on... Go check it out... Yelp deal for $1 domestic pint when you check-in!

  • Angela A.

Stoney's has a lot going one. There seems to be something for everyone-food, pool, skee ball, a patio, a stage for live music, room to dance several TV's with sports on, room to sit with friends and get your drink on at either of the 2 bars or seating areas surrounding. The place is pretty big and roomy. There could be more tables available though. The patio out front is really nice on a warm night. The service is actually way better than I expected. Our drinks never went empty. The bar tenders were really nice as well. Stoney's has a lot of great local bands come through. The dance floor is big enough to boogie down, which if you know me, you know I need room to groove!

Great drink and food specials on random nights. Taco Tuesday is one. The service is kinda sketch though. We didn't get talked to for 8 minutes and boyfriend wanted to leave but we stuck it out and turned out ok.

I like Stoney's a lot as far as sports bars go. My two complaints are all the obnoxious Saints fans and that their "daily happy hour" doesn't apply on Sundays and is therefore not daily. The staff is awesome though. The bartenders and servers are very attentive. They never make you wait. They are unpretentious. They are just nice folks in there. The food is above average for a bar. The bloodies are good. Last time I left the manager bought me a shot just because my team lost. And having spent time in other sports bars in the area, I really appreciate they effort they put in to coordinating TV's to get the most games on, to avoid down time when games end or go to half, and to ensure everyone gets a view of the game they came to see.

My husband and I stopped in while visiting Denver as eagles fans for a broncos eagles game. We were greeted by the manager and made to feel right at home. It is an awesome place to watch a game . It is truly a rarity when you find staff as friendly as they are here. Great beer selection and really good bar food !

Unless you are an Oklahoma football fan, do not come here on a Saturday afternoon. Stoney's has obviously established themselves as the place for Oklahoma fans to gather for college football Saturday and if you aren't wearing Sooner's crimson colors or know the fight song, don't expect to fit in or have a good time. The interior is huge; however, there is not enough places to sit in the establishment. About half the area of the interior was just open for people to gather in efforts of scouting out tables that would soon become vacant. Not sure if their two for one tall draft special extended beyond their opening weekend, but regardless it was still not an incredible deal as each beer was still priced at $5.50. I liked the overall interior as it depicted a Colorado landscape, however, it is a bit contradictory when you push the Colorado theme, but cater and host football games for Oklahoma Sooner fans. How about some Buff or Ram support to stay consistent with the Colorado theme.

My review is exclusively for the food. Although, it looks like it would be a good place to grab a beer and watch a game if that's what you are looking to do. We stopped in for lunch and it was pretty dead. That's what we were looking for. Anyway, we got several different things. All of them were what I would consider to be solid bar food. I had wings, the lamb slider, truffle fries, and curds. Of the dishes, the curds were my favorite. Let it be noted though that they were my favorite because I love curds, not because these ones were exceptional. They were pretty standard which is fine with me. I think the fries was the best dish in terms of how it stacks up to other versions at different places. Very tasty. I found the slider and wings to be pretty average... Good not great. Only about $30 all told is not bad. We'd come back if we were in the area.

It's not surprising that this location has been more than one bar in recent years. Something about the place is off. Aside from Tuesday night, which is Rock N Roll Bingo night, there's nothing to write home about. The food is bland and boring. If you must eat something, stick with the fries. However, happy hour has decent prices. 2 for 1 is always good in my book.

  • Mike B.

Love this place. there always seems like something is going on here. They have great food, the Bison slider is my favorite and there's some great specials. I like to slip in here in between classes and get me lunch or dinner. and a drink. happy hour is 2 for 1 and they offer a great selection of beer on tap. Like I said, there is plenty to do and always something going on here like trivia night, ski-ball tourneys, sports on tv, etc. So this would be a great place for a group of friends to meet up after work or something. Only thing they're lacking is a few dart boards and then maybe a dart league or team. just sayin...

This is my new hangout spot, plus it's only a few blocks away from my house. Andrews was disgusting and had poor service, I can't believe people are actually missing that place... The interior is very Colorado, that's really the only way I can describe it. There's a ski lift in the corner (from Keystone I think), wood floors, vintage skateboards on the wall, fireplace on the wall in the back bar, fairly large patio, lots of space and a great beer selection on tap (pretty much every New Belgium beer AND Dales on tap.. did you catch the "on tap" part?). The music is pretty good actually, and the jukebox has great selections (and not your typical top 100, more like jam bands, indie, blues.. a good bit of everything). The food is also very good, I had the black bean sliders with sweet potato fries and I was really impressed. During the weekends, this bar runs mainly as a sports bar, great if you're into that sort of thing. I, however, am not, so the weekday nights is when I go here. Before 6pm, the bar is pretty empty, but after that it starts filling up. They always have corn hole set up, 2 skeeball machines and a pool table so we never run out of things to do. Thursday nights is trivia and the place is packed! The servers are quick and friendly, the bartenders are also fantastic. Happy hour from 4-7pm, 2-4-1's and I never had a problem with me being charged "double" as someone had written about earlier. I really hope this bar does well, I have been doing the skeeball tournament and having a blast. The owners are always hanging out as well, so more than likely you'll end up meeting them. Great place!

This place kind of feels like "frat-pub X". It's good with friendly service and clientele, a nice-ish atmoshpere and trivia nights. The food is good, but the selection is small, and it's expensive with somewhat small portion sizes. Odds are that you will hear Nickleback and System of a Down on the juke box. It's not my cup of tea but if you're a privileged, yet angry anyway, 20-something male or one of the women who loves them, then you'll probably like this place. You should go here if you're in the neighborhood or meeting friends to go somewhere else, but I wouldn't recommend it as a destination or even a regular haunt.

I miss Andrews, but this decor is pretty cool. I went on a night they were having an event. That might be why I am about to write what I write . . . Lets start off with NO Drink Specials. BOOOO! that was sad. I hate that a bar can't do anything- i mean even a $1 off is awesome. Come on! The music! omg. . . . well, it was horrible. It was some country twang music - my friends and I were pretty much crying for the artists to get off stage. HORRIBLE I do like the seating of the place, lots of scattered tables and lots of Tv's to watch sports on. Nice job! I could see it getting better, but haven't exactly rushed back there and was there last in the begining of Sept. Might go back, but only because I HEARD the sweet potato fries and sliders were good. That's promising.

The short version - good place to come to watch sports. Tends to be very busy, which makes service a bit slow. After Happy Hour it is a pricey place to drink. The space is nice - large and love the fact that in nice weather, which is a often in Denver, the entire front of the building opens up to Lincoln Ave. The back bar area is a bit isolated, it feels like a dungeon and not the fun kind with whips and a dominatrix. Very busy on Fridays and Saturdays during Happy Hour. The food is mediocre. I love the fact that the wings come with the sauce on the side, that keeps them crisp and crunchy. However, more sauce please. The pork sliders were barely edible. The food is also on the expensive side for bar fare - $6.00 for tater tots??? The Nachos are very ordinary. For cripes sake, why is it that so many bars/restaurants cannot master this simplest of bar offerings? A pile of room temperature chips with cheese whiz, limp scallions, flavorless tomato cubes and a dollop of beans or chili topped off with melting sour cream is NOT nachos! Nachos are layers of beans and shredded cheese between fresh chips, all toasted in the oven, then topped with hot beef chili and fresh, crisp jalapenos, scallions and tomato. Topping it all should be a scoop each of sour cream and guacamole. Lots of attractive women for a sports bar. The crowd is on the younger side - for the most part well under thirty. The staff is very friendly with the exception of the bouncers who radiate an obnoxious, "I'm just looking for an excuse to stomp someone" attitude. Summary: Good place to hit for Happy Hour on Friday evening with friends from work or whatever, then head off to a decent restaurant for dinner. Expensive place to watch the game on Sunday with full price drinks and so-so food.

Stoneys is a great bar. Its large in size and has fun bar activities like pool and skee ball! They also have a nice outdoor patio. They have a 2 for 1 happy hour on Saturday night! I've heard the food is good but I have yet to try it. Although the womens bathroom was a mess!! And it was extremely hot inside the bar. Overall I love stoneys and will return!

great place to watch sports....so many tv's. if you're not into sports, so much other stuff to do, like skeeball[!!], pool, beanbags... it does get crowded for NFL games, esp. the Saints but it's fun crowd-watching and you get caught in the spirit of it. food's not bad either....i love the ahi sliders, the wings, the tater tots. Definitely much better than average bar food. sign up for their club card. great perks if you're a member.

I like the vibe at Stoney's, especially when the weather is warm and they have the whole front open. The drink specials are OK, but the food isn't very good. It's a fun place to go with a group of friends to watch a game or when you don't feel like going downtown. The staff is mediocre, they are often too busy talking to each other to actually wait on their customers. I think this place is good. Not bad, but not amazing.

First impression of Stoney's was holy TVs and bar games! This place is a paradise for sports fans that also suffer from ADD and can't sit still during the game. I also loved that they have a Loveland trail map on the wall and a gondola car sitting in the bar. I'm sure this place is packed wall to wall on game days, but I stopped in on a mellow Monday afternoon and still had a good time chatting with people at the bar. The 2 for 1 happy hour from 4-7 is pretty stellar. I also tried some quinoa balls, which are basically fried balls with quinoa and cheese stuffed inside. I thought they tasted a little...off...but the chili dipping sauce was tasty. I guess I should have gone with my gut and ordered cheese curds. Can't go wrong with the curds!

My first few experiences here were pretty poor. They are ID nazis which is extremely irritating. Also there is little parking available. Prices aren't too exciting. Despite that, things seem to be improving. Not too shabby.

Just popped in for lunch - very excited this place has opened up. what a huge space! but they have done a terrific job of making a huge space seem cosy and intimate - not an easy task! great beer selection, great menu (tuna sliders - yum! elk sliders - yum!) and really friendly staff. This will definitely become a regular place to hang out in.

Stoney's would have been fun if I was a 22 yr old drunk guy that came to watch football with my buddies and yell at the TV but instead, I'm in my 30s, was sober and was with my husband. Really, just not my scene. On the upside - the people around us were friendly, the Buffalo & Elk sliders were both pretty darn good & the tater tots had the perfect amount of crunch.

I was very skeptical about Stoney's after reading over the reviews, but wanted to try it myself because of my love of greasy, fried, yummy food. First off I was greeted by a couple ladies at the front, who sat me at a high top table right away. I was waiting for another person, and was glad to see that I could be seated without my joiner. Atmosphere is fun, loud, and busy! Great spot for drinks and apps. The best part about my visit at Stoney's was our waitress. Funny, informative and honest! Although the double checking of Id's is redundant, she simply explained it was her job, which I appreciate.I love beer, but don't know much about it. She asked what my favorite type of beer is and went from there. Giving good suggestions and telling me about each one. It was refreshing to have someone who knows a lot about what she was selling. Drinks were brought on a timely manor and everything we ordered was correct. My worst mistake of the night was forgetting her name, although the name on our ticket was a silly nickname that we all had a good laugh about. The food.... Just as I suspected! It was greasy, fried and yummy! The waitress suggested the buffalo sliders which were delicious and flavorful. Got an order of cheese curds because what is better than fried cheese. Although I will have to come back for the fried macaroni and cheese. For my average customer stand point, I would defiantly go back. Watch out for the busy days because when Stoney's is busy....they are packed!

Some bars are meant to be a beer bars only... Been here a few times, for football game, Yelpapalooza, hanging out with friends; service and prices always consistent until last week, ordered a Johnny Walker Black label, got poured Red, price increased, and serving got smaller, plus I got double charged...

This place was disappointing. We sat for over 10 minutes before anyone even paid attention to us. Our waitress Tia turned out to be like one of the best points of this place just because she was so sweet and apologetic. Our drinks took too long for a place half full, which seemed odd because most of the time we were in the restaurant there were 3 or 4 guys behind the bar. Our order was badly messed up but the waitress quickly took it away and corrected it. The manager even comped our meals, which was nice seeing as we waited quite a while for everything to happen there. It seemed like the system they had was not working. Our waitress was always hustling around and even made some of her own drinks, while other employees were on their phones or chit chatting, it seemed dysfunctional.

I love Stoney's! 1) if you are looking for good bar food, perfect place 2) if you are looking for an awesome happy hour, perfect place 3) if you want a casual atmosphere that can accommodate a ton of people, perfect place 4) if you want a friendly staff that appreciates your business, perfect place. We brought a large group that exploded beyond what we expected and communicated to the manager when we scheduled our trip there. They were accommodating, and the server was excellent. We have gone here several times, and we love it. We always have fun and the menu is good if you go expecting bar food. They also have a fun run club (on Mondays currently). I wish there was better parking, but it's Cap Hill, parking is at a premium.

I went here when I was in Denver and although the beer was fine, I am shocked by the intolerance displayed by servers and management. The atmosphere created carries over to rude patrons and makes one afraid to express views even just to friends sharing your table. Anyone who values the marketplace of ideas and the first amendment should steer well clear of this place.

Trivia on Thursdays is fun! And the tater tots and cheese curds are TDF. So delicious! Lots of TVs everywhere, so it's a great place to watch sports. They also have Taco Tuesday and Rock and Roll bingo, which i yet to participate in but hear it's awesome and definitely need to check out. it's a good, social spot to hang out with friends or try to meet new folks.

This place is definitely a sports bar, but with some cool ideas and fun decor. They have a skee ball game, as well as a gondola, and some other cool items strewn around. Tons of tv's! The menu is limited to sliders and a few other choices, but they have some really good slider options, including ahi, and elk. Yum!! Fried avocado, pickles and okra for appetizers, with a great selection of dipping sauces. Happy hour is 2 for 1 on well drinks, draft beer, and margaritas. All were good sized too! The servers were nice, even if they were a bit forgetful, but our order came out quickly and correctly. Definitely go check this place out for happy hour or for a big game!

They should get a 5 for the name alone considering they're here in Denver. Though the drinks are the same as everywhere else. They have a great floorplan that's spacious for guests. The stages, games and pool table are all valuable additions. Check it out.

  • Jessica T.

It is either stupid packed or dead every time I go, so either it's a pain to get a table and 20 minutes to get a drink, or it's just not so entertaining. Food is good, most of the staff are pretty cool. Sliders and tater tots are super yummy! They have skee ball, so that's a plus for me.

The first time my activities group made reservation here-things didn't go so well. They lost our reservation, which we had for months, and were double booked because-of all things-a Yelp event! (Darn Yelpers.) They acknowledged their mistake and promised to take good care of us if we came back. We went back a couple of weeks ago for a birthday party with about 50 people. They had an area sectioned off for us-had pretty yummy appetizers ready for us and gave us great service. They need a porter or a stout on tap but otherwise flawless. Thanks so much for taking care of us Stoney's. You may get all of our future birthday parties. :-)

The venue looks like it could use a face lift, however is very spacious and was able to accommodate comfortably 1000 people in and out for the yelp event Last night including a stage for live bands. I am not sure what the bar looks like on a regular basis or what their food taste like. It's a bar and booze is booze!!. I gave it a four stars mainly because of accommodating so many people flawlessly and their staff is really friendly. John, one of the bartenders next to my booth was extremely friendly....always a plus in this industry.

I like this place. its Large with a lot of space so you dont feel crowded even on those busy big game nights. the food is GREAT however i think way over priced! Happy hour is the best time to go for the buy one get one. Lots of games and friendly staff! the $1 tacos on Tuesday (?) are the best i have had around the area! They should however remember to stock the bathrooms with toilet paper........

A sports bar should have better tv's. The large projection tv is just ok, doesn't look to be HD. Playing loud hip hop during timeouts are. Little over the top. If you are under 25 and looking for cheap beer and not so good food this the bar for you. If you don't mind spending a little more for a beer with good tv's and good food go elsewhere. College bar with college pries.

The food was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice. Went on a Saturday when it wasn't too crowded. I'd go back. I don't really care about Oklahoma football though. Fried avocado? Definitely interesting.

I gotta say, this place is a ton of fun. As big as it is, the service is good and it never seems to get too crowded, even when it is, if that makes sense. Lots to do there if you are one of those people who needs something to go along with your drinking, such as bags, ski ball, etc. Not to mention trivia on multiple nights. The food is good too, definitely recommend the tots!

I have to say after going to Stoney's often and dealing with the menu changes that consistently get worse ever time. It's like they figure out what is the best item they cook and they take it off from the tuna slider to the short rib slider and I can go on. I love the layout and location even when it was Andrews before, but I think I will never go back after being treated so badly by supposedly one of the owners that was short and fat, I don't even think he's an owner and just said that cause I don't see Stoney walking around anymore when I come in. Wait staff is ok but the new owners (if that is true) is gonna run it into the ground fast. Sorry Stoney I Wish You still ran it. But a cool new bar will probably pop up in this killer location

I hate fish....that is, until I discovered Stoney's Fish Tacos! MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, messy in your hands, marvelously delicious in your mouth! If you had said I would enjoy this fish because "blah, blah, blah" reasons, I would have laughed in your face & exclaimed loudly "what comes from the sea, is not for me!" But, I was hired to photograph this dish for a local business organization and after becoming intimately involved with this dish from various angles and multiple lighting scenarios, the dish began to speak to me with it's brightly lit colors from the peppers and the tangy tan colored sauce drizzled about the tacos and the melty cheese peppered throughout and the fresh corn tortillas begging to be bitten! Then, the fish...oh the loathsome creature from the sea looked flaky and light and blackened from the pan and seasonings that made my mouth water from their scent...they had to be mine! So I was offered the dish when I was done photographing it. I hesitantly took a bite only leery because I expected a mouthful of gross sea-meat and instead my mouth was met with a face full of flavor and crispness and juicy flavor with all the traditional flair of a true Mexican staple! I was overwhelmed with how in love I was falling and practically licked the plate clean! I will definitely be returning to obtain my regular omega fatty acids from this place and this place only!

I can't say much about this bar as I was here for a Yelp event. It is in a good location being right on Lincoln in downtown Denver. The event went really well, so if I still lived in Denver I would check it out again.

Love this place! First stop on my Denver trip. Inventive gastropub menu with each item hitting the spot! The black bean sliders and tator tots are to die for. I swear they were the best tator tots ive ever had or maybe I'm just really pregnant (i do however think my sense of taste is very keen and picky and i love food now more than ever). My friend loved her ahi tuna sliders and we all loved her waffle sweet potato fries. I can't say much about the beer due to the pregnancy thing however I did taste my friends stout and my husband's wheat ale and they were both delish! I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners who was very kind, funny and accommodating and informed me of all the Eco friendly things the bar is doing including composting all leftover food! I will definitely be back and kudos to the skeeball machine!

Great lunch deals. $5.00 lunch specials monday-friday 11-3. It was standard bar food. Buffalo sliders were good & so were the tots. Place looks awesome to hang at on a weekend, skeeball, cool fun environment!! I'll go back.

We had a few friends meet us for football yesterday. It was one of the worst experiences i had in a bar. The place was very busy so I do understand as I used to work in the industry but nothing seemed to work there. To get a seat you had to put your name in and then they would call you when your table was ready....well that did not work as whenever tables were opening up people would just take them. It was a mess. I had never been to a 'sports bar' that sat people like that. Usually its a free for all and to be honest that seems to work a lot better. When we got a table it took our server 45 min to bring some people drinks and most of the orders were wrong when drinks were brought to us. The food was not very good either. The cheese curds were very small and burned. Like i said i understand that they were very busy but maybe should have planned better for NFL playoffs. It totally turned me off and I will not watch football there again.

Alright, before you read this review I do want to admit a little bias. I've known Stoney since he was manager at Govnr's Park. He's a great guy. With that said, all bias aside, this bar is fantastic. They have every Packers game played in the back room with sound, they have cheese curds on the menu, and they have 2 for 1 happy hours that make drinking a lot affordable. Their craft beer selection is a decent size, and they seem to do something most nights of the week to give you a reason to go in this place. Sunday is football, Monday is pigskin bingo, Tuesday they have pop culture trivia, Thursday is regular trivia, and I believe they still have karaoke as well. This bar always has tons of people, skee ball, and bags, is bicycle friendly, and tons of TVs. They support the Packers and Saints, are Badger friendly as well, and have a stage for live music. The two downsides are the bathrooms are tiny and it's street parking which can be rough especially for a sports bar on Lincoln. If you are going to go to watch football, be sure you get there early so you can get a place to park.

Having frequented Andrews many times for trivia night, we decided to give Stoney's a try for some trivia. First, as a gluten incredibly sensitive person I decided to start with a hail mary and ask if they carried a gluten-free beer or a cider. The waitress returned and said the bartender suggested Miller Light if I was gluten sensitive.. WHAT?!? Was she trying to send me to the emergency room or just being incredibly stupid? No cider either - oh well. I ordered something else. No biggie. It turns out the speakers were not working properly that night so their solution was to blast the others; great solution. The trivia MC was a total 'tard who habitually read questions wrong, read answers wrong and was completely incapable to tally a score which screwed my team not once but twice. We won third place with a $25 gift card - something we have no intention of using. Oh, and the food was so very mediocre.

I have only been to Stoney's on two occasions, but what can I say, this place is the bombdiggity. Let's discuss the interior first. Stoney's is complete with some of the coolest decor and entertainment you could ask for in a bar. When you walk in you are reeled in next to a pond and some trees, which makes you feel like your in the mountains. Around the corner their is a gondola, which you could actually sit in and have a fairly warm a delightful conversation. The walls are embellished with ski's, skateboards, and snowboards which puts any Coloradan right in their element! Stoney's offers a wide array of games as well, including beer pong, ski ball, darts, and pool. They even have an impressive stage for live music. Moving on... the things that make Stoney's really stand out to me some more stomach related enticers. This place has baskets of fried...well... anything. You can pick and choose what goes into your fried basket of deliciousness. Some options are tator tots, cheese curds, waffle sweet potato fries (which are served with syrup, which is actually quite delicious). Did I mention they have mini corn dogs? This restaurant is a gosh darn blessing, spreading mini corn dog happiness to all! YUM. They also have a mighty tasty buffalo chicken wrap. This thing is spicy but an awesome choice! Complete in a green tortilla. and the number one reason to visit Stoney's.... THEY SERVE COLORADO NATIVE ON TAP! Yee haw! This is a place that embraces all things local, serves you up with a side of delicious fried, and tops it off with an awesome venue to kick it with all your friends. Top notch!

I've been to Stoney's Twice. Once for Yelpapalozza 3.5 and once just cuz we came here. I love the food. It's often quite noisy when we drive by so I dislike the noise level here but the food and staff are great. Seriously the food is pretty bombing. I'd go back just for the amazing food you can try. We got all kinds of sliders which was really fun. Oh and they have Tots! That's pretty great in my book...hmmm hungry now...and for dinner I'm thinkin Stoneys...

What can I say cold sweet potato waffle fries, average slider (buffalo) boring. $14.00 out the door with tip drinking water....nah Bartender made some effort. Don't eat there save money for happy hour at 4pm twofer on drafts. Wanted it to be good...

Great sports bar! There are TV's everywhere. There is skeet ball, corn hole, and a stage for bands on the weekends. Did I mention the place is huge and if you are A New Orleans Saints fan this is your Sunday Ticket. Most days and even nights they have good drink specials. Bar food is better than average. I usually get the fish tacos and when I'm cheating I'll get the Elk Sloppy Joes with tater tots!

Went here for the Yelpapalozza 3.5 so I just had drinks. Ok, so I had a bunch of drinks. I can see how this place would be fun on a lazy Saturday afternoon to watch some college football and play cornhole (or bags whichever you prefer to call it).

Stoney's provides great cover and nourishment on a hot summery Saturday afternoon. Make sure to try a basket of cheese curds coupled with Ranch or Marinara sauce! I ordered the Veggie Black Bean sliders which were surprisingly tasty, and apparently made from scratch. Good job w/ the options there Stoney! sided with some Tater Tots on this occasion, let's just say the meal was complete. Although not too fast, plenty of beer is in the building so make sure to throw a few back. Dales PA on tap to 2 for 1 Coors light didn't hurt the cause. On this annual event Saturday (Westword Music Fest) they even had a lineup of rockin local bands in the house. I was a little skeptical, but the SBG surprising accomodated all of this with ease sprinklin Tots & Beer on brush fires as they arose!!

Fun bar, awesome decor, tasty sliders! I love the atmosphere at Stoney's- a pond, ski lift, a stage, and Okie Sooners! The draft list and drink specials are legit, but their sliders are the ones to write home about... lamb, pork, hippy, I think I'll keep coming back until I've tried them all!

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL service!!!! Worst ever. I went here on my own at mid-afternoon about a month ago. I walked by loitering staff to the patio and waited five minutes to be served. There was only three other patrons here, all at one table! They like male waitstaff here and they are ridiculous workers (or non-workers) - finally this goofy oaf waddled up to me and asked me what I'd like to drink. It took him 10 minutes to go get me a beer! I decided to go for the all you can eat fish and chips sliders, little fish sandwhiches. They were fine, the fries were the only bright spot of my lengthy stay here. EVERYONE you see walking by comes into this place and it's mostly staff before everyone gets off work. The whole time I was here, staff either outnumbered or later, was equal to the patrons. And they are fools. They stand around, get in your way, and act as if they're the patrons. After finishing my first plate, I ordered my next and a beer. And waiting for this guy to show up was a mystery, he wasn't attentive at all and I didn't see where the heck he would go. Again, 10 minutes for my beer, I needed it to wash down the food! 25 minutes for the next plate to arrive and it's just this pathetic one slider and another serving of fries. Gee, all you can eat, what an offering! How stupid! I laughed when he served it to me and asked him to get me another one (because I knew it would take forever again). I became wise to the pathetic service and was sure to order my next beer when I was only halfway done with my current one. 10 minutes again, my God, unbelievable. All beer drinkers know that when you sit down at a an empty bar you expect to be served immediately. They couldn't even do that here! Then when you order more beers at an uncrowded bar with two dozen staff hiding somewhere, you expect it right away. This place stinks! When I finally got up to use the restroom I found a personal one in the main room but two prissy girl staff cut in front of me without recognizing my presence as they looked at their faces in the mirror together, so I began walking the other way, but I had to take a detour around a guy staffer who again, didn't make eye contact as he dominated the aisle, what a jerk!!! When I asked for the bill two hours later, (that's not how long I wanted to stay, that's how long it took the idiot waiter to serve me three plates and four beers) the waiter was now magically around me all the time, he said he had to go and pushed me to sign and tip. I actually bothered to tip him 15% after he made friendly converstation as we both walked out of the restroom, I shouldn't have. 30 minutes later I see him walk out and sit with someone on the patio! A note about the patrons of this place too. EVERYONE who walked by and came in had their noses in the air and wore aviator sunglasses. One good thing about this place, the rest of us know where all the pricks in Denver are, they're all at Stoney's!!! Wish I could rocket lauch this place when it's full of people and send it to L.A. where these 'people' belong.

I have been to Stoney's Bar and Grill twice. The first time I visited was for a magazine premiere. It was a large, relatively private party held at the back bar. The service was good and the drinks were cheap! The second time I visited was with a Groupon. My boyfriend and I decided to have drinks and food. To be 100% honest, I couldn't tell you exactly what we had to eat. What I can tell you is that I remember that I was extremely disappointed. The food I do remember was the Cheese Curds and the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. They were both cold and soggy. So here is what I recommend: Come during Happy Hour but only for the cheap drinks!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! Finally!!! A KU Alumni bar that is big enough to accomodate the gigantic fan base here in Denver. With plenty of good CO beers on tap, Boulevard Wheat in an aluminum bottle, delicious food, their commitment to sustainability and local ingredients, that makes this place tops in my book. I've been to Stoney's for 2 KU basketball games so far. The first game was by far the better experience, with the entire bar packed full of Kansas fans, a big blowup Jayhawk out front, the fight song playing over the loud speaker, every T.V. on the game, 2 big projectors, and a pool w/ cash prizes. It was pretty amazing, and everything an alumni bar should be! The second game was less awesome, because there was a charity undie run sharing the venue. Don't get me wrong, the people watching was great (hundreds of people in their underwear while it was less then 20 degrees out), but it definitely took away from the game experience. No fight song, no pool, and pretty shitty service...but understandable given the day's events. I've tried several different things on their menu and for the most part, have enjoyed everything. I really like that they try to use local ingredients whenever possible. My favorite snack is the Mac & Cheese Puppies, served w/ a house made buffalo ranch. The cheese curds are great as well...especially dipped in their ghost pepper aioli. The Hunter's Platter is perfect for a group to nibble on: Local Sausage, Cheeses and Smoked Trout Served With Berry Gastrique and Spicy Mustard. They also have really delicious pork green chili (although not nearly spicy enough) that goes perfectly atop their crispy tots. Yum! The best part of their menu, IMO, is the wide variety of sliders. They've got beef, buffalo, lamb, fried chicken, bass, roasted beet, braised short rib, BBQ pulled pork, and more! I've had the Inferno Sliders: Colorado Ground Beef, Grilled Jalapeño, Habanero and Pepper Jack Cheese served with Ghost Pepper Aioli. It was deliciously spicy goodness, atop a perfectly steamed potato bun. My second trip I went with the Rocky Mountain Buffalo Sliders: Rocky Mountain Ground Buffalo topped with Bleu Cheese, Jalapeño, Caramelized Onions and Roasted Garlic Aioli. Again...amazing. Go with tots or fries (regular, sweet potato, or truffle parm) as a side choice. All fried things they do really well. I opted once for a cup of their beer cheese soup as a side...and it wasn't very good. Super bland, seriously lacking salt, and came out cold. So before I ramble on too much longer...I'm just going to add that if you are a KU fan in Denver, you definitely need to catch a basketball game here. Trust me, it's a much better choice then the other Denver area alumni-bars (douche-ville = Lodo's bar & grill).

Love just isn't a strong enough word to describe this place! And, I am in no way biased because it is a Saints bar.... ok, maybe a little! The food is fantastic, for the most part. I have had the crawfish poyboy which is served open faced with tons of fried crispy crawdads! On a 2nd visit, I ordered the pull pork sliders which were pretty darn good. My friends seem to love the chicken friend chicken sliders.... but who wouldn't like chicken friend chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy served between what looks like dinner rolls. They have great happy hour prices and my experience with service has always been fantastic!

Fairly generic sports bar, ripe with post-college folk on weekend nights. The place is huge, and even has room for two bean bag toss games going on inside of the place. They have skeeball which is always fun (and a league to match it), as well as great 2-for-1 deals, even if it's for generic adult beverages. Haven't tried the food but it seems like you'd only be coming to this place if you just graduated or you want to remember what college felt like.

What could be better than skeeball and sliders ?? Sliders and skeeball without UFC wrestling on every TV in the bar. The calendar on the website wouldn't seem to open, but the reviews were great and the food looked delicious so we decided to try our first attempt at Stoney's. After almost leaving due to the cover charge for UFC, which the doorman clearly realized we were not there for, he let us in for one cover for the three of us. Bonus in my book! Staff was extremely tentative despite being packed. And the food is pretty darn good. I tried the Buffalo sliders which were amazing. I know I say that about a lot of things, but whatever, they were. They had jalapenos, caramelized onions and gorgonzola cheese on them, YUM. But I have to say that the best part was the Sweet Potato fries. They had a caramelized brown sugar drizzle over them making them out of this world amazing! My buddy was obsessed with them and kept saying it was like I ordered a funnel cake with my dinner ;) Awesome! I will definitely call ahead next time to see whats on schedule. But seriously how cool is skeeball in a bar!!

"Vegan" and "Bar food" don't always go hand in hand, but Stoney's is working to fix that! I ate here with my omnivore husband and I had the black bean sliders and the sweet potato waffle fries, both were Ahhhmazing! My husband had the Inferno with the ghost pepper aioli and really enjoyed it. I'd say there's something on that menu for pretty much everyone!

I've been here a few times with friends and it, in my opinion, is nothing special. There are televisions EVERYWHERE, which might be nice if you're there for sports events, but is hugely distracting at all other times. Other than that, it is a sports bar with nothing to distinguish it from the droves of other similar sites.

Well hidey ho there neighbor of the sucky ultra lounge..... Another potential bar, that I happen to hit up on a dead night. SKEE-BALL, Corn-hole & Golden Tee nuff said. This place was big, outside area also and two bars. A very interesting ski lift cable car thing...I'm from TX so don't judge me. I just don't know what it's called I just know it's found at ski resorts. The bartender was ok, seemed tired of tourists. No biggie.... there was a birthday party going on in the back room. That brought their own boombox to jam out on the wooden floor. We crashed it, good times. And got a cupcake out of it. Like I said....it's got potential.

I came here at the recommendation of fellow yelper Cherie. We're both rabid college hoops fans, and this is where one goes to feel at home in a sea of blue and crimson. There are really only two places in Denver that make for good KU basketball. There is the OLD place (Choppers), and here. This place is pretty much 1000 times better for seating, being closer to other places, and plain old fun. On game days, they even have a DJ AND will take reservations... unless it is March! About the place- their happy hour is two for ones draughts. It's not a bad deal, but you have to hold onto your ticket to get your second beer. The specialize in sliders, and from what I can tell, they're not bad... but not amazing either. Please, for the sake of your poor mouth, stomach, intestines, and gluteus maximus do NOT get the inferno slider. They did not even de-seed the habeneros. I was sweating, crying, possibly snot-bubbling and cheering for another Kansas win as my brother laughed. The short rib sliders were actually pretty tasty- give them a try. The wings are pretty good, but know that they do a rub first and foremost, then include a side of the wing sauce you would like for dipping. It makes for a crispy, flavorful wing, but is not everybody's idea of an awesome wing. On nice days, they like to open the garage style doors and let that breeze roll right in. It is pretty nice. On Game days, they have cornhole out on the sidewalk. Pretty good place, and my favorite KU bar by far. Rock Chalk!

Didn't necessarily look this place up but went here because it was so close by to the hotel. It was a Friday night so it was a bit raucous, but that is to be expected when it's Friday and there is a hockey game on at a bar. The beer selection was alright, nothing that I would go out of my way for. The service was pretty good, the server was really nice and helped us out with the menu. There were plenty of T.V.'s playing hockey, baseball and basketball games so if that's what you're looking for then this would be a good place. Even though it is a bar, it was a Friday night and the game was on the music was a bit too loud, I was trying to talk with the person right next to me and we were having to scream over the music to just hear ourselves. I am disappointed with the burger though, I saw that some specifically were called sliders an I avoided those because I was really hungry and ordered another burger that I though was going to be a regular sized burger. When it came out it was 2 sliders and didn't have any of the additions that I had ordered. The food wasn't the greatest quality either for the price, it was like $9 a burger and the quality was that of White Castle or Krystal's if you are familiar with those franchises. Even though I walked there, there seemed to be plenty of street parking for free. The place was clean and the patrons were generally nice but I just wouldn't go there for that quality of food to price.

They have skee-ball, a ski lift booth & a little mini-pond & drink specials (at least when I went in)... so that's awesome. The food... I'm not sure. My bf & I just had cheese curds... but they weren't that great. Either way, I liked the place & the beer so I'll be back :)

This place is actually kinda alright because of a few really cool bartenders. There's a manager there that's a little to serious for it to feel comfortable as a regular spot, but I ain't mad at it for the occasional beer or round of pool and there's always an open seat.

For a sports bar, this is a happening place to be! Did I mention that this bar is HUGE??? Seriously, bring some friends and have a great time, Stoney's knows how to throw a party. There are TV screens in every direction of every room, and I believe there are 4 different bars, but my memory is a bit hazy :) This is a popular spot for football games, always seems to fill-up when 2 popular teams are playing, so plan accordingly!

I know some people who absolutely love Stoneys, and as such, I have found myself here several times. The place is pretty big, and you can always find a spot to be comfy at for awhile. The drinks are usually cheap, 2-for-1 specials sometimes. The food is okay enough. I don't usually come here to eat, but haven't really been excited when I have. It's fun.

I went to Stoney's tonight for their all-you-can-eat wing night which they have every Wednesday(only $7 from 8pm-11pm). Unfortunately halfway through the night they ran out of wings so you could only imagine my disappointment when I arrived. After speaking with our waitress (Alex, she is great), she offered a free round and half off another entree. When she still noticed my discontent about the wings, she spoke with her manager who personally went to the grocery store to purchase wings, then took off 40% from our overall tab. Customer service like this is rare these days. Great atmosphere, good food, a lot of fun!

Stoney's was a great place for the gang to meet up and start our party before heading out. Good selection of tavern/bar food that is superior; never thought I would write that an order of nachos was super yum; and the wings rocked (extra crispy) as well. Thanks to our waiter for suggesting to add the chipotle sauce (hot) to our wings as well; they come with buffalo and ranch as usual. The game area rocks! Corn hole, ski ball, darts...... The muisic (track) was good, lots of different music, but lively enought so that you don't notice. I've not seen a band here as of yet, can't comment on that. Love the decor, very Colorado. Tables are well spread out and you have a clear view of the stage and big screens throughout. Been here a few times and our servers have been rockstars, helpful and always timely in refreshing our drinks, food out of the kitche was quick. Now for the not so good; I had not visited the bar in this place until Saturday night (12/11). Three of us went to the bar to grab a quick shot w/o the group and when I came out of the bathroom, my friends had ordered the shot and allowed the bartender to surprise us..... worst shot I've ever had!!! I'm a former bartender and I must say, if that's the best shot he could come up with, he shouldn't be behind a bar! Took a quick taste of the shot and commented to him that it was horrible, now here's the killer. His response was, "Look, it's a cheap shot, what did you expect?", dropped our change and walked away. A worthy bartender would have then asked for a speicific shot or made something that he knew was tasty; don't we all have our go-to shots as bartenders???. We were there with a decent sized group buying lots of none well drinks and I think we had 6-7 apps, and I'm certain price was not an issue. What an ass! As for missing Andrews, REALLY???? Andrews was one of the most disgusting places I've had the pleasure of visiting in Denver; plain old filthy place. We've already planned our next visit to Stoney's before our holiday party downtown next weekend; I'll also be back for a bowl game or two to check that scene out. I'm a fan, sans the bartender on saturday night;)

I have been to Stoney's more times than I can count. The reason I keep going back is that they have great happy hour specials, awesome food, and a ton of space. They also have great events there and have had several of my favorite local bands play there. I run an organization in Colorado, and we always have all of our events at Stoney's. They are always very accomodating of us. I have tried a number of things on the menu and have never been the least bit disappointed. All of the sliders are fantastic. I especially love the Caprese sliders. This place far exceeds the other bars in the area in food and entertainment quality.

Stoneys is right down the street from my school and my home. My girlfriend and I went here and it was just so big and open. They have skeeball and some more cool random games. Trivia and karaoke nights. Plenty of happy hour specials. Just an all around good time. They are known for their sliders. They have a large variety of these also the fries are way different than you've ever had!

I've been to this location several times over the years as it has changed hands too many times to count. This newest offering is probably the cleanest. The open concept is nice and the remodel was done professionally, instead of half-fast like years past. The open-air concept carried a lot of weight, but I would expect that to fall off once the weather cools off and the doors are closed up. Came here on a slow week night, ordered a cocktail which was very weak, and ordered dinner. They have this miniature food concept going on, but unfortunately it comes with big-food prices. $9 for shrimp quesadilla's is fine, but not when they consist of two tiny tortillas. My friend got the sliders, which are basically a couple of dinner rolls with meat on them dressed up with tater tots. It is worth noting the while small, the quality was decent. Also, I don't know how they do it, but somehow this place has a talent for hiring the worst bartenders around. I sat at a fairly empty bar (which is small) while the guy walked past me five times (I counted) without serving me. The female was ok, but annoying. Like I said, the drink was weak, yet she kept pushing them on me before I was done with the one I had. When I said to give me a minute in response to my fourth one in an hour, her response was: Ok, can I close you out then? Yes, please do... Seriously.

I ended up here last night when some friends of mine accidently went to this restaurant instead of the one around the corner where we intended to meet. I tried the pork appetizer tacos with corn & black beans based on our server's recommendation. IT WAS THE WORST TACO I HAVE EVER HAD. It was so bad I couldn't even finish it. The tacos had NO FLAVOR at all and tasted like it was made in a crock pot (without seasoning) about a week earlier. I asked for some hot sauce to choke it down and after about 20 mins had gone by they brought me siracha. I love siracha but I wouldn't exactly pair it with a taco as a first choice. The atmosphere was noisy due to the trivia everyone was playing. Evidently you have to make a reservation to participate in the trivia--not so much fun if you are a walk-in on a Thursday night. Our server was sweet but forgetful. I had to order my coors light 3 times. Word on the streets is that if you dine here, the only thing to get are the sliders with truffle fries. I won't be back.

Great environment and lots of fun for sporting events and to play trivia. The wings are phenomenal, but I have yet to have a slider that knocks my socks off.

Pretty cool!!! I went out to see some live music, the drinks were cheap, and no kidding probably the best service I've ever had at a bar. Great place to watch a game. The food is bar food but kicked up a bit. Its yummy and the prices are good. Its awesome in the summer - you can mill about inside or out. Also, for a bar, the bathrooms are pretty decent. Weird I know, but important to the ladies.

Great place!! The price s right, and there is so much to do! They have a huge bar area in the middle with some GREAT selections, and two sitting areas on either side. There is a gondola for pics (way fun), lots of tv's so you can watch all the games at once, pool, skeeball and some other games too! They always have great specials going on, the karaoke is always fun, and the skeeball tournaments are like nothing else you can find in denver! Plus, taco tuesdays are AMAZING! Only $1, for huge and delicious tacos!

Ten times better than the old methed out Andrews. Went for the first time on Sunday for the Broncos vs. Seahawks game and was delighted at what I found. My server was very attentive but not pushy. My only slight complaint is the menu is a bit limited to sliders and salads. If you go get the Ahi Tuna sliders and the sweet potato waffle fries.

Love this place. I found the bartender to be very attentive and interesting. The food was delicious and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Nate, who was extremely courtesy, personable, and showed genuine interest in myself and my girlfriend. We had a blast playing Big Buck Hunter until well after last call. Stoney's is a great bar and I'm lucky that it's just right around the block.

There are things that are cool about this place. The food and beer prices for what you get are not one of them. Maybe we should have gone for happy hour because 9 dollars for some chips with cheese poured over them and 8.50 for 2 little sliders and some fries on a small salad plate - sized plate and 5 dollars for chips and salsa seems a little outrageous. All in all for 2 people - nachos, 2 beers each, chips and salsa and a tiny plate of sliders/fries - over $50. WOW. Was not expecting that!! Will not be going back.

Girls, order the Ahi Tuna sliders, you will NOT be disappointed!!! Great Colorado decor throughout the whole bar including legit Keystone gondola! Amazing beer selection, my favorite is the Thunder Stout. Fun atmosphere, they even have Skee ball!!

I had the quinoa sliders which had a spicy pineapple dressing. The 471 beer was unique in taste. The server was sweet and gave us tips on downtown Denver. We will go there again for evening drinks.

Nice big, open bar, and a fun vibe for football games, but I'm sorry - if you're going to have 500 people in your establishment, please realize that you may need bathrooms that can handle that many people, wait staff that can handle that many people, and air conditioning. We waited 45 minutes between pitchers of beer, ordered tuna sliders and were told 30 minutes later that they were out of tuna, and we all dehydrated from not being able to get any water the whole night. Could be a great place, and I'm sure they make plenty of money, but think about how you're going to take care of all of your guests first..

This place is awful, probably my most unliked place in Denver. I'll tell you about the bar itself in a minute but first, the awful service. But it's the service that just kills it. Last night was the end of Stoney's for me and everyone I know. We went out to celebrate that a friend with brain cancer has been told her tumor has shrunk tremendously and she may never need chemo again. Sort of a big deal and her entire office plus a bunch of her friends were there (read: lots of money flowing into this bar from our group). Our waiter was HORRIBLE. While we waited about twenty minutes for him to come take our order, then another 20 to actually get our beers (from the bar that was maybe 15 feet away) after we reminded him three times and he had to ask us twice more what we wanted, we considered better job choices for him. We settled on DMV counter person because he was just that incompentent and unpleasant. During ordering, he threw the beer list at me when I asked what was on tap and ripped my husband's credit card out of his hand, forcefully and rudely. When he finally brought our two beers, the girl next to me asked if she could put in a food order. He snarled at her that he needed a minute and ran away. I'm not sure she ever did get to order her food. But the best was when our other friends came in, waited forever, and finally put in their beer order at the bar. Later, the waiter asked them if they wanted another and they ordered and told him they had a tab at the bar. He said, do you want to open one with me? and they said no and he said fine. So he upsold them from the drafts they ordered to these tacky tallboy cans then, later, they paid at the bar. We got a call twenty minutes later from our friend saying the waiter yelled at her that her friends stiffed him then made her pay him the rest of the tab. He never put their beers on their tab, as he said he would do, but opened another and never told them. And he ruined my friend's celebration by yelling at her. So. None of us will ever go here again. The service is atrocious and anyplace that allows someone like this to treat customers like that is not a place that deserves my hard-earned cash. As for the bar itself: This is what it looks like when you scale up a frat house -- sticky floors, skee ball in the corner, too-loud bad music, and drinks that you can get on a long wooden ski. Totally reasonable if you're 21 (or 19 with a good fake) but ten years on from that, I am just thinking of how gross my shoes will be when I get home. They have a typical beer list and typical bar food -- lots of fried stuff, nothing tastes all that great. So, for a night out, if you happen to love paying for meters when you're not downtown, you like being treated like dirt, and you miss your college frat parties, probably not all that bad.

After almost a year of frequenting this bar on a bi-weekly basis, I have to say that Stoney's has stepped up to the plate, and it is a great neighborhood bar! They have some of the best daily specials in town, and they keep adding more great ideas! For example, they have bingo, trivia, free skeeball, tacos, a running club, and an awesome happy hour. There's also a patio out front! They have revised their menu and it is more affordable and the sliders are awesome! Not to mention, who can pass up tots??? I really can't find anything to complain about!

I reserved a couple tables here on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. Liked the location of our tables in the corner and it's pretty open so you don't feel crammed into a table of people and we could stand and socialize. No drink menu, so the server had to read off a huge list of beers. Their beers are giant (that's a good thing), but I had no idea until they showed up and I had no idea how much they cost. Our server was super sweet and friendly, but our service was awful. One friend finally got her food 45 minutes after everyone else had finished eating. That meal should've been comped, but wasn't. Other friend got double-charged on his tab. Drinks started taking longer and longer to arrive, and after waiting for close to a half hour for my last beer, I canceled my order and closed my tab. The server was very apologetic and gave me a free shot, but that didn't make up for the rest of the evening, which kinda sucked. It has potential to be a cool place, different than the other bar scenes in the area, but the service needs a kick in the butt. Seriously, I was ready to get drunk for my birthday, and left after 3 beers and barely a buzz. Oh and the parking sucks over here. I'm willing to give them another chance, maybe on a Sunday afternoon.

Stoney's totally sucks. The bartenders are pretty clueless and the service is non-existent; basically a by-product of them walking by. What really bugs me about Stoney's is that their menu is AWESOME. Lots of locally sourced foods, vegetarian options, and just plain lots of things to pick from (hence 2 stars). But the service. Ohhh, the service. IT SUCKS.

Late night-ish happy hour and I got me some drinky drinks for 2 for 1. Make mine a double tall please. Or maybe it was regular happy hour. Or maybe they extended happy hour into the regular hours of the night? Anyway, by the time it was late, they still had 2 for 1s, so make that one a double tall again please. Bar service was good, they have cornhole, it's a big joint with TVs everywhere, and here's the answer to a trivia question...where was Terry B when he found out Whitney Houston passed away? Yep, Stoney's.

I appreciate their green-centric recycled decor and their desire to source local ingredients, though I question the 'local' nature of listing a Conagra product. I like that this is a welcoming place for KU alumni (of which Lacey is, I am not). I don't like the limitations of their menu, considering how many quality ingredients they have for 15 different sliders... I was looking for something a bit more healthy as I'm trying to be less of a fat ass and there was very little on the menu for me. I don't like that although they advertise via FourSquare in order to bring people in, they act like its a huge fuckin hassle to cash in on the deal that's being advertised. 'they' in this case is a specific server, so I admit that may not be a fair sweeping statement. I almost hesitate to write this review as Stoney's has the potential to move in either direction... down to 2 stars or up to 4. I will be back for a few more KU games, of this I am certain, but I hope they do enough to make me want to come back when not being dragged along by a fanatic Jayhawk fan (or 5).

Stoney's has been consistently good for us, especially whenever we're looking to watch a game somewhere (Boomer Sooner! Thunder UP!) with great drink specials and delicious bar food. Delicious cheese curds, street tacos (especially on Taco Tuesday!), tater tots (they will parmesan-truffle these if you ask!! amazing!!), french fries with maple syrup or the parmesan truffle fries, pulled pork nachos, and a variety of delicious wraps, sandwiches, and other goodies. We've had stellar, friendly service each and every time. The owners are usually there and out on the floor playing manager--it's clear they really care about guests' satisfaction. There is always something fun going on, from Texas Hold 'Em tourneys to skeeball to trivia etc. One night we were there, they were having a skeeball tournament! Minus one star because the wings are hit or miss and the fried okra was pretty gross last time. Also, I think I heard they compost and use local ingredients whenever possible, and I just went to the website to make sure I wasn't just making that up, and here's what they say: "Here at Stoney's we love cans! In fact you won't find any bottled beers here at all. We recycle all of the cans (along with everything else) and give the proceeds to local charities. Coors Brewing Company is matching us dollar for dollar in this effort as well. In addition to recycling, we are working to reduce our carbon footprint with a composting program, using green cleaning products, buying locally sourced meat, produce, and as many Colorado craft beers as possible. We also want to encourage everyone to ride their bikes. It reduces pollutants and if you chose, we can store your ride overnight." Badass! Love Stoney's!

The main reason I love this place is for how many community events they host. I was here for the Yelpapalooza and then for the Once Upon a Race. Both times, the service there was excellent and they served us great bar food (try the sliders!).

I am really disappointed in Stoney's lately. The menu seems like it is always changing with little consistency in food quality. A couple days ago I went in there my waiter was totally socially inept, not to mention the fact I don't think I have had the same waiter twice after years of going there. Super high turnover. My fries were cold, so were my wife's. The bacon on my burger was 95% blubbery fat. The ghost pepper aioli wasn't even hot. My wifes favorite (tuna) slider was taken off the menu long ago, then the buffalo chicken wrap. This use to be my favorite place to go, but after last time I could have better burger at Wendy's. Literally. For the first time in years I am questioning if I will ever return. I can't imagine I am alone in feeling this way. Hopefully you guys can find some consistency in both food quality and staff.

The bar is cool. A few tips for the Management though. Preach awareness to your employee's about the customer being first, and being nice to them. Second, now I hear this thing on FOX news about the FOOD HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS you had recently. Make sure to correct that issue because if someone gets food poisoning from your food, your business is screwed. Would you want to go somewhere and you order something, not knowing if they might have a roach problem? Treat the customer the way you want to get treated. Karma baby! Peace...

This has been open for a year and half now. Some days I've gone and felt like I should update this to either 4 or even 5 stars. Other days I maintain the 3 and I think this is where I land on it. Well, probably a 3.5...so I'll be nice and round up. First off, the tator tots are the best in town. No if, ands, or butts! The rest of their food is pretty hit or miss and I'm kind of pissed that they got rid of the grilled chicken sandwich slider with spicy mustard. Now every time I go I'm just confused about what to order and nothing compares. The service is beyond hit or miss. Sometimes they're friendly and sometimes they're bitchy. They almost always take forever to give you the tab regardless. It's also incredibly loud. The crowd is pretty mixed, however most people are pretty preppy/young professionals. Bor-RING! Ending on a good note, their happy hour is pretty good! And there's a few throughout the day so that's nice. Additionally, their patio is also a great place if you can get a space (this place is either super busy or straight up dead).

I've never experienced such terrible service at a restaurant. The restaurant was 1/4 full last night and it was nearly impossible to get our server to come over. I ordered quesadillas and they were not brought out with the rest of the groups food.. they asked me if I even ordered them (I saw the waitress write it down). They completely forgot it and I didn't get my food until everybody else was done. We had to wait 5 minutes for silverware and napkins. They didn't even take my meal off the check even though I waited 20 extra minutes for it! Seriously terrible service. The food wasn't bad though. I will never go here again.

Food is great. Service is great. The boiled crawfish is perfectly seasoned. Best boiled crawfish I've had in Denver period. It taste just like crawfish from Louisiana. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because of the miniscule amount of crawfish they give you. I understand that it cost to ship Louisiana crawfish out here, but I could have gotten literally 5 times the amount of crawfish I got here in Louisiana, which is ridiculous.....

I love Stoney's. Not only is Stoney himself awesome, but the food is great and we always have good service. The only reason I don't give it 5 Stars is that come 10 o'clock on Friday or Saturday they blast rap music and run us out of there. I'm sorry, but if that is what I wanted I would go to the plethora of SoCo clubs close by. We've eaten here quite a bit and always have a good experience. I was sad when they took the elk sliders off the menu, but can forgive them. The happy hours are great and the beer selection is decent. Stoney's also does a lot of charity events, which always makes a good impression. We did a Valentine's Beer Tasting, which benefited kids education (I'm too lazy to really find the right organization) and it was hands down phenomenal. They have some talented chefs. This is definitely the place for sports. One warning if there is a big KU game on and you aren't a KU basketball fan then you might want to steer clear. It was pretty awesome to watch the Saints there this year. All in all Stoney's is one of my favorite places to hang out and Stoney does a lot to give back to the community.

Housed in the former Andrews on Lincoln Street, Stoney's is not too shabby. Checked it out for lunch this week as 80s rock music piped through the speakers. I'd never been to Andrews but according to a co-worker they totally revamped the decor. There are several tvs, a few pool tables and a skee-ball machine as well. We split 4 types of sliders-Caprese, Pulled Pork, Black Bean and the Inferno. Each come with your choice of either fries or tater tots. All were good but the Black Bean and Inferno were a little too spicy for me as I'm a wimp. Our server was on the ball and the food arrived quickly. I like that the place is open and airy and I'd venture there again for lunch.

If it's NFL season and you are a Saints fan then this IS the place for you. Complete with some NOLA Treme music during commercials and fans with umbrellas and even a parade around the big screen, this place was rockin! There is also a BOGO big beer special, but not sure when, which was pretty awesome. Not sure about the food. Just had beer. The service at the bar was good but the table service was lacking. Not the friendliest. There is also tons of other tv's with other games on. I saw Packers, 49ers, Carolina and Steelers fans there. An all around great bar to see the game but get there early because this place gets packed!

This is the place to be for football Sundays. We went once and it was packed. Plenty of seating options and more than one bar area. We sat at the back bar and bartender was extremely friendly and made a pretty darn good bloody mary!

Thanks for hosting all of us yelpers the other night. Your staff was attentive and my glass always full. Perhaps think about providing a coat check area for parties held in the cold season.
