Went here too many times when I worked in the area. Two words... potato oles. Nuff said.

The meat here never fails to disappoint. I would go with some Potato Ole's since they are the most amazing thing on the menu, and the cheese quesadilla is decent too... its a tortilla with cheese inside, it's hard to mess that up. Potato Ole's are dusted with the best seasoning known to man, and if you really want to do it up big, you can order some nacho cheese sauce to dip them in. So good.

I like taco johns but the chips and shells were stale the staff tried to help and they had nothing fresh and it was dirty

I really, really, like Taco Johns. This, I believe, is the southernmost Taco John's hybrid in the Denver area. the Good: --You can get most of your TJ favorites (tacos, potato oles) --They have the uber spicy Green Sauce and regular hot Taco Sauce the Bad: --This place was filthy. I am not exaggerating in the least. The lobby must not have been mopped or swept for hours, if at all that day. The tables had not been wiped down. There was trash, food remnants, and flies everywhere. In my mind this is lazy management. There were plenty of employees behind the counter. You need to MAKE one of them clean the lobby. I HOPE the kitchen had higher hygiene standards than the rest of the establishment. NOTE: I moved this review over from the listing with the incorrect address

Its what you expect from a fast food taco place. The meat is to spicy. I would rather eat at taco bell.

Hard to get a 5-star if you're a chain-fast food type restaurant, but the customer service here was stellar. Jorge took my order and was really friendly. He's a +1 star right off the bat. The food was good and made correctly. There was literally nothing wrong with anything and we had a bit of a complex order. The food was hot, fresh, and really good. I'm a picky Taco Johns patron, being from Wyoming, but this place nailed it.

This is not a review but a question. Why is this the only Taco Johns in the Denver Metro area? I used to live in Wyoming and you would find Taco Johns in every town. I find myself wanting Taco Johns if I'm in a hurry for a quick Mexican fast food bite. Taco Johns in my opinion is 10 times better than a Taco Bell or a Del Taco. I only give it to stars because I have a problem with this being the only location in the Denver Metro area when I feel that they would do great in other locations.

I found this place by accident while in an airport food court. Steak Escape is a philly steak food chain and is surprisingly good. Certainly not the best philly steak sandwich I've had, but if you are in the US and on the go, Steak Escape is a great fast food choice.

Everything was cold, soggy and they messed up our orders twice. Shoulda gone to taco ding dong or del taco.

I love Taco Johns. Their tacos, while greasy, taste a lot better than another national taco chain. They give you tater-tot type potatoes as a side, and they are yummy. They have good seasoning on them, and when they're just freshly made, they are just delish. They're really good with the cheese dipping sauce, too. My husband and I enjoy the apple grande dessert they have, too. At this location, either their speaker system is hard to understand or something, because we find we have to repeat our order a bit to make sure it's correct. And although they may tell you different, the guacamole does have onions in it. We will come back when we're in the area.

I love this place! Their tacos are delicious and potato oles dynamite. I prefer Taco John's over Taco Bell any day of the week.

I should preface this review with a warning: I am a Wyoming boy. And seeing as how Taco John's are as omnipresent as drive-thru liquor stores in my homestate (i.e. you ain't a town until ya got one), I must confess that my opinion is a bit slanted. That having been said, this outlet is more than enough to satisfy the tastes of a boy who grew up with it. One of only three TJ's in the metro area, if I'm not mistaken, this particular restaurant is conveniently located due east of the 58th Ave exit of I-25. For the uninitiated, Taco John's serves what they refer to as 'West Mex', an amalgamation of psuedo-Mexican firepower with greased-up American know-how. Trust me, it's a recipe that tastes a helluva lot better than it sounds. Try one of their signature side dishes, Potato Oles (tater tots topped with an addictive Southwestern spice), and you'll agree: Taco John's is love at first bite. Like many newer Taco John's restaurants, this one offers the added bonus of a nacho bar, replete with numerous salsas guaranteed to satisfy even the most masochistic munchies (try the pureed jalapenos, hot shot). I live about ten minutes from this restaurant, and try to ration my visits to once a month or so. Even though I'd rather eat an old Philly's catcher's mitt than one of the cheesesteaks from the same city, I will admit the Steak Escape emanates some tempting sights and scents. Nevertheless, I can never bring myself to try the 'competition's' eats: Taco John's is already calling my name. The staff and facilities are both amenable, but when it comes to TJs, we all know what you came for: just 'Ole' me, already!

There aren't many things to brag about when it comes to being from South Dakota. One thing that I DO brag about (and often) is the abundance of DELICIOUS Taco Johns restaurants (eh, "restaurants"). Because TJs is a "very serious thing" in SD, I had only the best to compare it to - unfortunately for the Denver establishments. I usually get the #1 (two hard shells + potato oles; I'm fun at parties, everyone) but decided on a whim to have the Nachos Navidad (hey, holidays, right? FESTIVE, right?!) and a side of oles. I sort of regretted it, but not in the way I usually regret (over)eating Taco Johns. I give a lot of leeway to my complaints: the chips got soggy too fast, but they were also neon-colored (green and red), so you're sacrificing tortilla chip quality for eye candy; the lack of forks, for me, was just a test to see how badly I wanted to eat this meal (I used a spoon and it worked fine). But one thing that I cannot make an excuse for is bad potato oles. These things are supposed to taste like heaven, y'all. Like a crispy heaven highly enriched with seasoned salt and grease and whatever other witchcraft they put in there. It's the heaven I want to go to when I depart from this earth. So imagine my disappointment when my potato oles were disguised as mere unhealthy breakfast potato-hashbrown-like rounds instead of the DELICIOUS artery cloggers I've grown to subsist on! Ouch, is what I'm saying. The good thing about the oles, though, is that you can hide them inside whatever other food item you get. Taco Johns is reliable that way. I gave three stars only because it fulfilled the craving, and I know it'll come through for me if the next craving gets deadly. At the end of the day, it is a fast food "restaurant" and I know the quality will shift from moment to moment, so I will depart with these words: get your West-Mex on now if you haven't so that we can have the same point of reference when we establish what heaven could be.

Being from Nebraska and living with a TJ's down the road, I was elated to see a TJ's in Denver...FINALLY! I had to drive up north on 25 to get my Potato Oles fix. This location is horrible though. The employees are more interested in conducting a conversation than taking your order....or cleaning the dining area. Every time I've gone they have messed up my order. It's not complicated to get a potato and bean burrito. Just don't put on the meat. Apparently this is rocket science to these people. Honestly you're safe just ordering the potato oles. I give it two stars for the potato oles and the hot sauce. You can get this at any of the locations north on 25 (beware the first TJs you'll see on northbound 25 is going to be close to Loveland...so it's a road trip). The ones up north are cleaner and the customer service is way better. Too bad I can't justify spending the gas to get good Taco Johns!

I absolutely LOVE Taco John's and this particular one is an excellent fast food stop. Always great service and the food is just as you expect it. Taco John's is much better than Taco Bell and I wish there were more locations out here in CO!

I would give the Taco Johns half which I usually have at least 4 stars it has been very consistent and great, but I decided to try the steak escape because the pictures on the menu looked awesome and unfortunately it was terrible it may just be a recipe thing because I was thinking Cheese steak and got sandwich dry flavorless sandwich. From now on I'll stick to the Taco Johns.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
