This place left me wanting a lot more. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai and was really disappointed. Perhaps it had something to do with getting delivery instead of fresh at the restaurant. Given the majority of the other reviews, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I've found better places for cheaper prices, so it's just not worth it to me to go back and give them another chance. I ordered their chicken Pad See Ew (it's my go-to Thai meal), as did my friend. It was her first experience with Thai and it made me so sad that this was the place she tried first! The noodles were weird and soggy, the sauce was watery and bland, and there wasn't the standard vegetable (chinese broccolli or regular). Perhaps their other items are better, but as I said before- not worth going back. I'll take my business to J's Noodles & Thai.

Started getting take out from here a few years ago based on a friend's recommendation. ST not only serves consistently great Thai, but also excellent Chinese & Japanese. Perfect for a family with different tastes. Very contemporary setting, tho' located in a strip center. The food always incredibly tasty, well-portioned, and quite reasonable. This more than makes up for the sometimes slow dine-in service. Plus, almost they always give a 10% discount to dine-in customers. We've had everything from sushi to Pad Thai to sesame chicken without a disappointment in the dozens of times we enjoyed their food over the past three years.

Not so good. The pad thai was sickeningly sweet and drowning in sauce which I wouldn't have minded if it was good. Sushi was sub par, kind of a lot of rice. Bf had panang curry which he said was so-so and seemed to have just whatever random veggies they had in back. Same with pad thai....red onions? It wasn't horrible but I'm pretty sure I won't be back.

This is the closest Thai place to my house. I have been afraid of trying Thai since I moved here from San Francisco--sorry, but Denver's ethnic food scene is just not what I'm used to. Tried Thai Pot on Colo Blvd and was pretty grossed out. This place was pretty good. Started with pot stickers--not Thai, but I do have an addiction, and they totally gave me my fix! Then on to the drunken noodles and spicy basil duck. Drunken noodles were spicy, not too spicy (in fact, could have been more so, but that's just me), lots of chicken. Duck was excellent, again, not very spicy, but the sauce was super tasty and the veggies still had crunch, which I appreciate. Take-out was ready in 10 minutes, delivery would have been 45. Since it's right by my house, it's probably going to be my go-to place now. Hallelujah. Now, if only I can find some Burmese food to satisfy my other SF craving.

I had the Vietnamese combo noodle dish delivered and the beef was awful. It was cold when delivered, very tough and had a strange un-fresh flavor. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. I couldn't get over how cold it all was - delivery took about 45 minutes. It tasted like it had been sitting for 40 minutes. I didn't finish it and will not order from here again. The seaweed salad was ok.
(1)Riza H. C.
We always purchase the food for delivery. I have tried their Spinach Cheese Wontons, Calamari of the East, Seaweed Salad, Spicy Basil Shrimp, Sesame Shrimp, Classic Fried Rice to name a few. Lately it has been disappointing from my point of view. But still my husband always love the Kung Pao Chicken dish. Well cant blame, since his favorite dish is Kung Pao Chicken, every restaurant we visit here in Colorado. No matter what, he will still order Kung Poa Chicken.
(2)Stephanie L.
This is an awesome Thai restaurant! The atmosphere is very clean and modern (and purple!) and the staff is attentive. I've never had better pad thai or sesame tofu. They have great thai tea- which is a must for me when having Thai! They also serve sushi and have great deals on lunch specials.

My fat husband and my fat self are on Weigt Watchers, and this place was a great find!....fresh crunchy veggies (even their snowpeas are crunchy and crisp and have real plump peas in them)....a choice of REAL brown rice (as per the diet). The sauces and flavors are great. Any dish we've ever had is great. Anyhow good value, the wait staff bends over backwards, nice young couple work hard at choppping, cooking, and serving to treat us all to a terrific meal....give the folks at Spicy Thai a hearty thanks the next time you find yourself wanting to lap up the last of that yummy sauce on your plate like a dog.

I eat here at least two times a week and sometimes more. They are Called Spicy Thai but really they are more of an Asian fusion. They have a variety of choices. I enjoy the jalapeno Steak and the Vietnamese noodle. Oh and the Panang curry is good too. It is the best "Thai" restaurant in that immediate area so I find myself eating there a lot. The restaurant is clean and the waitresses are cheerful. If you are getting your order to-go and you like to eat with chopsticks then you need to ask for them to include it or you will find yourself chopstick free :( I don't like their Drunken Noodle. IF you want good drunken noodle then go to J's noodles on Federal or Swing Thai on Colorado.

This place was horrible!! I ordered food at 9pm and didn't receive it till a little after 10. The food was disgusting! I ordered Pad Thai which was mushy and cold at the bottom, like it had been sitting there for hours and the drunken noodles that was ordered was a brick!! When I called the next day the owner/manager told me I was a liar, that his delivery guy returned back at 9:30, he then proceed to curse me out! I honestly cannot believe that someone in his position would do such things. I was accused of "tampering" with the food myself, the manager told me that it was my fault that the food that was delivered was my wrong doing and i quote "not eating it fast enough." When asked if I could get some type of refund back the manager told me that I would need to go to the doctor, (pay all my bills out of pocket) then he would consider if I could have a refund!!! Are you kidding me?? I was transferred back and forth between a man and woman before he called me names then hung up on me! To anyone looking for good Thai food go to Thai Pot Cafe up the street on colorado and just after mexico, it's much better food, better price and the wait staff is AMAZING!!
(1)AfterMidnight E.
Great value. Great selection of all asian foods. If you need a quick bite and are craving Japanese, Chineese, Thai or Vietnamese and can't make up your mind, this place has some of the basics. I recommend the Jalapeno Beef.
(3)Danielle J.
Got a sudden food-swing for pad thai. Most of the places I have tried in the area have not been great, but I had never tried this place before. Went it and ordered to-go and the food was out almost as fast as a drive through window. It was SUPER hot still when I got home. I guess I have a bit spoiled by other places in other areas in that they give you an egg roll and soup with the order, and this place did not with the dinner Chicken Pad Thai, but I must say, this is a really big size of Pad Thai with a good bit of large chicken pieces as well. The price was very reasonable & the flavor is great. This will be my go-to local Pad Thai now!
(4)Leah N.
Delivery was very fast, especially for a weeknight at 6pm. The green curry with tofu was delicious. Just the right amount of spice. The hot and sour soup is good. The large is enough for two huge helpings. The fried shumai was perfect. My husband got the Mongolian beef and it was also very good. Will definitely be ordering again.
(4)Meg A.
This place always delivers quickly and the food is amazing. Their lunch specials are the perfect portion, inexpensive, and they have the best peanut curry & panang around the DU area.
(5)David S.
Consistently good. Never tried them for dinner. Just lunch which is a good meal and a quick in and out.
(4)Amanda H.
I was going to give them a higher review... Until I found hairs in both my egg drop soup and fancy roll. They were short black hairs, and I have long blonde hair and was at work, so I know it didn't come from my pets or myself. The food tasted good. Prices were higher than I feel they should be for the quality of the food. If I ever order from them again, I will pick it up.
(1)Chris M.
Delivery guy was very friendly and super fast, they give you alot of food at an affordable price, i always order their pad thai and spicy tuna roll, there sushi is bombb!
(5)Hannah C.
What a mess! The staff doesn't even know their own menu or happy hour specials. Even after we showed them their own website. There are plenty of really good Thai restaurants around Denver, so this one should be avoided
(1)Olivia S.
They deliver to my office building for free, it's cheap and the food is okay. Nothing special.
(3)Chelsea S.
This place is pretty good for the prices. They deliver to the office I work at and I've not been disappointed once! Serving size is big enough to save some for later, they all seem very friendly and never have a problem making my order extra spicy! Quick delivery, too :)
(5)Morgan H.
Delivery was super fast for takeout (less than 45 minutes), delivery guy was friendly, but the food.... How they justify the word "spicy" in their name is beyond me. I got the peanut curry and cheese wontons. The curry was severely lacking in spice and was more sauce than anything else. Also. The cheese wontons had super thick wrappers and the filling was sweet neither of which make for a good wonton. Maybe their sushi is better but given the quality of what I got today, I don't think I'll be back.
(1)Camden T.
Thought it was okay. I had the calamari and the drunken noodles. The calamari was not that great. I had my food delivered to me and I wish they didn't put the aioli sauce on the container because it made it warm and disgusting. The batter was also soggy, making it kind of gross to eat. The drunken noodles were okay. I liked the flavor of it, but got the combo drunken noodles and counted a total of 3 shrimp. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but it wasn't worthy enough to go back again.
(3)Brandon W.
The teriyaki chicken is awesome. Always get that. Everything I've tried has been good. The drunken noodle just needs more hot peppers. Good food. Delivery. Will be trying more items for sure.
(4)Mike Z.
I thought the food was excellent. It's not expensive. Service was quick. They have a decent variety of dishes. I would definitely eat here again.
(5)Jay P.
Always an excellent experience, dining in or getting delivery. My favorite is the peanut sauce curry but I'm eating the sesame chicken right now and it's amazing as well. The sushi is also great!
(5)Laura S.
Customer service was good and everyone was nice, but the food was nothing special. The food is far from spicy and all together doesn't have that much flavor. For what we paid I would have expected to be full and satisfied, but sadly that was not the case.
(2)Randy K.
I cannot understand the bad reviews left by others. I LOVE this place! I eat lunch there 2-3 times per week. The Curry is fantastic! Good portion size for lunch and very reawsonable at $6.95 for a lunch that includes a cup of soup, egg roll and a nicely proportioned entree. I have tried at least 10 different dishes on the menu and been pleased to very pleased with every one. The hand rolled sushi is prepared right in front of you, very appealing, and yummy! I love this place and have not had a bad or even average meal yet in over 30 lunches purchased. I am a huge fan!
(4)marc g.
TAKE OUT WARNING: short story don't do it. Their food is good but service is below suck. They tried to make amends by giving us our meal, but if you want to eat at a prescribed hour, skip this place
(1)Stephanie M.
Delivery takes a good hour or so but their Fancy Roll is worth it! We usually get medium spice shrimp pad thai and sometimes it's spiced right and other times hardly any spice. We have dined in before and the service and staff were great!
(4)Katie G.
Bland and gave both me and my husband stomach aches
(2)Emily R.
What can I say that is positive about this place? It delivers to me, not too expensive, and its not inedible. I've tried to give this place a chance several times because it's nearby. But every time I end up feeling very "meh" about the whole thing. Cream cheese wontons are way too sweet for my tastes. Potstickers are hit or miss. Hot and sour soup is ok but definitely nothing to write home about. Pad see-EW, no thank you. Fried rice was extremely bland. Spicy salmon roll was good the first time but gross ever since then. I'd say overall.. mediocre. Try someplace else.
(2)John L.
They deliver delicious sushi to my door. I love this place.
(4)Kurt J.
Never had a bad meal here. Love, love, love the Pad Thai! However, you MUST tell the staff if you want it spicy. That's how Thai food works - You MUST tell them what level of spicy you want, otherwise they assume we're just suburban white people with no tolerance for a nice, potent, spicy kick. That said - If more Yelpers were aware of that, I strongly feel Spicy Thai would have MUCH higher review averages. Very reasonably priced with very large portions. The interior of the restaurant isn't big, but it's comfortable, clean, and classy. Extremely friendly waitstaff, consistently. When I took my father here (he was stationed in Thailand in the military), he said THIS is some of the best Pad Thai he's had outside of Thailand. The short and skinny: Some of the best Pad Thai around in a clean, modern restaurant served by nice people. What else could you ask for??
(5)Shane T.
Peanut chicken curry was good but the Vietnamese dish was extremely dry. Would try again but pho 95 is way better!
(3)Lindsay B.
Love this place. Super convenient location and they deliver! Most reasonably priced sushi rolls and Thai food and it's all good.
(4)Jeff D.
Our favorite Asian place in the Southeast for delivery. Over the phone they're quick, courteous, and easy to understand; their delivery time is consistently quick (quicker than they tell you); and the Thai curries are excellent and a great value (one is easily enough for two average people).
(4)Hannah I.
I really hoped to like this place, because we really splurged to order in Thai food the other night. Contrary to the name of the place, my Pad-Se-Ew was bland. I even ordered medium. It seemed like there was no sauce. I ended up throwing it in a skillet and adding my own sauce, which is not what you want to do when ordering in. (For the record, I made a yummy sauce of soy, oyster, fish, sugar, and the pepper seasoning they sent.) Husband's sesame chicken was meh. Soggy, but more edible than mine. Our egg rolls and spring rolls were great, though. Peanut sauce was AWESOME.
(2)Jeff B.
I've eaten here 2 time for lunch. One time had good sushi and other had curry that was great! We had good service and I would say the sushi is fresh. They care about presentation and making sure you're served well here. The interior is nice for the Colorado & Evans area. I liked everything we had. The rice was cooked property and the Green Curry with chicken is my favorite. The lunch specials are a good deal in my opinion. I'll be back to enjoy them for lunch again.
(4)Angela A.
For a place named Spicy Thai I had high expectations for the food but was somewhat underwhelmed. The pad thai had a very flat flavor and the dish appeared a reddish color. I'm not sure what that was from. The noodles were really wide. It just didn't seem like traditional pad thai. The sushi is alright. Nothing really wowed me. The restaurant is cute and always clean. Delivery is prompt.
(3)Vicki P.
Spicy Thai is on our short list of delivery options and we have never been to the restaurant. Usually when we place the order, the food is at our door in about 30 minutes. All of the food we've eaten is fresh and delicious. We have tried many of the menu items and some of our favorites are: teriyaki chicken, sesame chicken, Yushan chicken, and royal chicken. When I'm sick, nothing beats the chicken fried rice or chicken lo mein. As you may have noticed, we are partial to the chicken dishes and tend to favor the Chinese menu options more than the Thai choices (but that's just us). If you're thinking about appetizers, you can't go wrong with the fried potstickers, spring rolls, Vietnamese egg rolls, or edamame. Our first choice for soup is miso but the hot and sour and egg drop are great choices also. As far as delivery goes, we have no complaints. It's fast, the food arrives hot, the order is always correct, and the portions are large. Dinner is served.
(4)Nick L.
Spicy Thai ...well that's half right. I go to this place purely out of convenience, that being said it's about average in the Thai food department. I'm a fan of spicy food so when I ordered the drunken noodles I expected it to be hot ... as per usual with drunken noodles. I was disappointed when it was not spicy and was told to add the Sriracha paste to spice it up. I do like that they serve sushi and I've been told the curry is pretty good. I won't go out of my way for this place but I will go there when I want Thai food for lunch.
(2)Kati K.
Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to order Thai. Service was fast but the food was hardly edible, and more than a mild disappointment for our Sunday "cheat day".
(1)Tiffany N.
Not impressed with this place. I pass it by all the time on Evans and ordered to go the other night with my standard thai dish, my true love-spicy chicken pad thai. I got home and found it was drenched in sauce, usually I wouldn't be bothered by this but the sauce didn't taste at all like pad thai sauce, it was more a sweet and sour sauce and it wasn't spicy. But I was jonesing for some pad thai and ate it and kept half of it for leftovers. The leftovers were a little better and maybe because the sauce settled in, it was spicier but it was just a disappointment all around.
(2)Dave C.
The other reviews are correct when they claim this place is "hit or miss." I've ordered delivery from Spicy Thai regularly for the past few months and most of the time, I've received a delicious hot bowl of Pad Thai and yummy crispy spring rolls. However, every now and then, especially when they're busy, the food would be cold. Nothing a quick zap in the microwave can't correct. So I've just learned that there are varying degrees of spicy. If you just say spicy, they will make it bearably spicy. However, if you just keep saying "can you make it spicy? extra spicy?," you will get the 3rd, final, and best degree of spicy. At $13 for a dinner delivered, I'd say this place is not too bad!
(4)Bianca S.
Spicy Thai is one of the few sushi delivery places around my new place off Peoria. It is super yummy too! When you ask for extra wasabi they really do give you extra unlike most sushi places. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. The veggy fried rice is to die for with hot oil. The asparagus roll is yum! And so is the spicy salmon! They delivered fast and the delivery guy was super nice! I definitely recommend this place!
(5)Sir ..
The blandest Thai I've had ... ever Had the Pad See Ew with chicken sans the broccoli. It seemed like all I got was a bowl of rubbery noodles and chicken. Normally, I would expect wide rice noodles fried in soy sauce with meat, egg, and vegetables. I had asked for no broccoli, but there were no vegetables or seasoning whatsoever? Sorry but this left it completely bland. Also had a Philadelphia roll which tasted very decent, but the size was tiny compare to other places in Denver. The only pro was the Thai Ice Tea (very good) which affirms two stars, but other than than not impressed.
(2)Linda B.
How do you ruin dumplings? Also the Pad Thai mix I purchase in the grocery store beats the taste of this Pad Thai. In addition, the Thai iced tea was served in a bottle! Will not try again! Don't bother.
(1)Tisha K.
Delicious food - I've tried about 5 different dishes and enjoyed them all. Decent prices.
(4)Minde S.
Worst Pad Thai I have ever had. The shrimp was so fishy tasting and awful! There was no spice to it at all. The miso soup was also terrible. They put seaweed in it which Ive never had before and it also tasted extremely fishy. On top of it, I ordered delivery and they said it would be 55 minutes. It took them well over an hour to deliver. I will not eat from this restaurant anymore.

I found myself on the south side of town yesterday so I had lunch with a friend at what used to be one of our favorite places to grub out when we worked together, Spicy Thai. Since I have been there, they have added an extensive sushi menu, which I looked forward to checking out. My friend got there, we hugged and excitedly started to spew info and happenings at each other since it had been about a month. She had the Vietnamese noodles with tofu - rice noodle with cucumber, tomato, fried onion and peanuts, served with chili-lime sauce on the side. I dove into the sushi menu with gusto and ordered the 8 pc "Lucky Roll" with shrimp tempura & crabmeat inside, tuna & avocado on top. How can you go wrong with a roll like that? I know, tempting fate by asking that, but that was not the case. I also grabbed a Chicken Tempura Roll with chicken tempura, cucumber, avocado & tobiko. (I did end up taking half of both rolls home). Now, the chicken tempura roll was supposed to be 5 pieces. Instead I was treated to *8* magnificent pieces of the roll. And let me say this about Spicy Thai: I don't know how they manage to turn a profit making their rolls this big, but those slices are *thickly* cut and *FILLED* with goodness. It is not a dainty roll by any means. The Lucky Roll was also 8 pieces, making for 16 pieces of heaven that were beautifully presented -- my pics don't do it justice (and my Photoshop skills are so-so at best). Summary: you get a LOT for your money here. Both of our dishes were served with egg drop soup, you get your choice of hot and sour or egg drop. I like mine with soy sauce mixed in, she likes hers without. I had 1 piece of her tofu and it was light and *very* crispy -- quite tasty! I may have to start experimenting more with tofu this summer if it can be *that* good*. *NOW...the annoying part. This place was headed for a 5-star rating without reservations were it not for this 1 factor. It was apparently a slow day there...When our server, a kind young Oriental woman, asked how our food was, I hadn't had a chance to taste it yet, my friend and I were still busy chattering about things back and forth, and I let our waitress know this. She nods and backs away. Then she comes back 2 minutes later and asks the same general query. She is standing right there, and can see I haven't taken a bite yet -- yet she asks. I fix her with a stare and say "My friend and I have been talking, I haven't had a chance to take a bite yet!" My dining companion theorized that she was eager to hear how the chef had prepared it. Fine and good, but don't be over obtrusive when diners are clearly in the midst of deep conversation with each other. Waitress #1 leaves into kitchen, waitress #2 comes out 5 seconds later and asks us...you got it...how the sushi rolls were. By this time I am 10% amused and 90% "you've got to be f**king kidding me". I tell her the same story, locking eyes with a meaningful "Please don't ask me again" look. She nods and checks on other customers. Waitress #1 comes out, who I eye out of the corner of my eye. With a beaming face she beelines to our table, and I *literally* subconsciously threw my hands up in a "stop" gesture. As if to say "Please, *back OFF!*". This apparently doesn't register...and she asks again. So that's 4 times in a 4 minute period I got asked. At this point I lock eyes with my "cold icy stare" at her and I say a little loudly, "Look. My friend and I have had some things occur in our lives we've had to discuss. Being that we've been discussing, we, or at least I, haven't had the chance to take a bite yet. This is the 4th time we've been asked in 4 minutes how things are. Really!! I am going to take a bite in a minute, but PLEASE, give us a moment, huh?" Patrons at another table are embarrassedly eying me -- I'm past giving a fuck what they think. I hated to embarrass our waitress like that, but *really*! There's no excuse for that, especially when it was *glaringly* clear that my companion and I were engrossed in conversation and not the food at that moment. If any waitpeople, *anywhere*, are reading this, let this be an abject lesson: if someone hasn't told you how things are after your 1st query, and they're chatting with someone else, *wait 5-10 minutes before asking them again, for God's sake!* DAY-am!!!! O_O Back the F**K OFF!!! (breathes) I feel cleansed now. =D Outside of that 1 particular incident, the food here was magnificent and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking Chinese, Thai or Vietnamese food. I'd have to say while the atmosphere at Swing Thai is somewhat more hip and urbane and groovy with the bamboo and such around, I'd have to give the edge to Spicy Thai for the food. MY favorite on their menu is E32, the Thai Curry Lamb - a mild but spiced creamy curry with delicious chunks of lamb and veggies in. I could gladly eat that every week. But beware the waitstaff if it's a slow day...(shudder)...O
(4)Matthew T.
ugh - ordered take-out chicken pad-Thai and it was this giant heap of noodles and chicken that tasted so much unlike what I understand pad-Thai to be that I couldn't eat any of it. I just tossed my entire $9 dish in the trash. Sorry Spicy Thai but that stuff was cooking way too long or something.

My husband and I have made this restaurant a staple for a place to regularly eat out. Recently we transitioned to a vegan diet and we've found that Asian cuisine is very friendly to our new eating plan. I'm especially a big fan of Thai food and I have to say that this place delivers the BEST Thai food I've ever eaten in the Western world. Not only do they offer a good assortment of vegan dishes, they are very helpful when we order non-vegan dishes and want to make substitutions to fit our dietary concerns. I've sampled many items on their menu and have to say that the green curry with tofu is absolutely orgasmic. Every time we've dined in the restaurant, we've had a positive experience. We've enjoyed the ambiance and the service was great! I'd recommend this place to any of my friends and would happily take anyone who is a fellow lover of Asian cuisine there! The only complaint that I have is the time it takes for delivery, although I guess you just can't rush perfection!
(4)Amy F.
One of my Favs for delivery. Always get the pot stickers or the vietnamese eggrolls to start. The curry's are good. I like to get the sushi special rolls, my favorite is the Volcano Roll. Tried something new, and ordered The Thai curry noodles...they were good, but needed more spice. My old stand by in the Vietnamese Combo Noodle bowl. Always enough to make two meals. Yummmy!
(4)Seth V.
This is my go-to delivery spot. I order the pad thai at least once or twice a week. I prefer my pad thai on the spicy side, and if you specify you want it really, really spicy they make it great. I rarely order other menu items, but the few times I have they've been pretty good. Ordered sushi once. I'd recommend other sushi places first, but it wasn't terrible. Delivery service is incredibly fast, never had an issue.
(4)Jess W.
This review is ONLY for take-out. I've never actually even seen the place.... As far as take-out options in my area (Hampden)- this is by far the best. We only order veggie entrees, and have been pleased with the freshness and crispness of every time (not soggy and creepily colored). The peanut tofu and sesame tofu and very tasty. I made the mistake of ordering some sushi last time- obviously a mistake...because....sushi isn't really a Thai specialty....so that one was one me. Poor ordering. So- if you're in the delivery area, get some take-out. It's good. And easy. And it's fun to get fortune cookies.
(4)Karen C.
Seriously deluded..... I called to order 2 lunch sushi roll combos and some appetizers that was going to add up to about 50 bucks. The lady said that the combo, when ordered to go, would not include soup. Makes no sense. I said I would pay the extra for whatever a styrofoam cup and lid costs them, but through her jargon I realized this was not possible. I then decided to order online through their system, since it allowed me to click on what kind of soup I wanted and simply order without having to decipher what the woman on the phone was saying. I called after placing my online order to double check that they got it and she then informed me that they cannot, for some bizarre reason, deliver a three roll combo. Box not big enough? She said that for three "roll" to go it would be around 20$ per person. Said thanks but no way! Called Blue Moon Sushi and the guy was awesome, the total for the exact same stuff- actually the sushi was way better- was 20$ less. Never ordering from these people again.

If you are a vegetarian, be cautious...everything has meat in it.
(2)Heidi G.
Tonight I found a rubberband in my thai noodles and my noodles where over cooked with no spice/flavor. My husband asked for tofu, but got chicken. Last time we visited, I was not pleased as well and the sushi made me sick.... Real sick. Don't go! Save your stomach!

This place used to be so much better. The portions keep getting smaller and smaller, and the product and service are going downhill. Of my last 5 orders from them, of the three times I ordered for delivery: ~one time I didn't get the dressing that's supposed to go with the salad ~another time the sashimi was dried up and rubbery ~and one time I got the calamari appetizer instead of the fried cheese wontons I had ordered. Nothing wrong with the previous take-out order, but my last takeout order took almost half an hour, and the only cooked item I ordered was the tempura appetizer. That tempura ap is much smaller than it used to be, since they cut it back to two pieces of shrimp. It is still really tasty, though. But the sashimi was half the size it used to be, two tiny pieces of fish that looked like they cut one piece (compared to what they used to give people) in half. And I know they were not out of the fish, because I looked it over before ordering it, due to my previous experience with the dried-out fish. And my house-mate ordered that same sashimi a few days ago, paid the same $4. for it, and he says he got twice as much as I got. :o( The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, but there's no consistency with anything else.

Delivery: YUCK I should have known delivery sushi would not be great, but I was feeling lazy. The sushi looked like it had been picked up at the grocery store on the way over. And it was super fishy fish. Not everything was bad though. The crab/cheese wantons were pretty good and the egg rolls were okay. Miso soup was average. Took an hour to deliver, even though I ordered at 4pm.... How long would it take during busy dinner hours? I will not try this place again. I have my go-to sushi places that I know will not disappoint.

As I used to work just steps from this establishment I used to eat lunch here all the time. They had decent Thai food at reasonable prices, and the to go food I always ordered was always ready fast. I stopped in for dinner with my family not terribly long ago and got my usual. The food was about the same but the prices had gone up a little. For the most part I was happy with the food and service until about half way through my meal. At this point I noticed a bug crawling off my plate. Check please!

Haven't tried the Thai, so this is a biased review. Mediocre sushi. I could've bought the same exact thing at a grocery store, but then they wouldn't have been able to charge us $4.00 per 2 pieces of sushi.

Some of the worst Thai I've had in Denver. The pad thai with beef was rubbery and barely had any beef. The panang curry had the consistency of water. Awful flavors, textures, preparation, ingredients...everything was just wrong. This place is reeeeally bad. Stay away.

I waited just over an hour for my order to be delivered, I live only 2 miles from the restaurant. The Pad Thai is very plain, almost bland compared to the same dish other places. I also ordered cheese won tons which were very over-cooked and had a very noticeable fish taste from the fryer oil. Certainly not the worst meal I've ever had but I do not plan to dine here again.

I was lured in here a few weeks ago by some friends jonesing for Thai food. Sure, I thought, I'm pretty much always in the mood for Thai. And ended up ordering sushi. What? Ah, the beauty of fusion restaurants. I started off with a large order of miso soup (average), seaweed salad (very tasty, but too much lettuce), lots of sushi offerings (most of which were good, although the yellow tail was a bit fishy this day), and sampled the crab cheese wontons. Everything was just okay. Although I didn't sample the noodle dishes of my friends, the overall ranking at the table was average. Our service was fairly prompt, too. All said and done, the best thing about this place was our bill. Not only did we have sushi happy hour pricing (who can beat $1/piece sushi?) , we also got 15% off. I'm not quite sure why, but I won't knock it. Definitely not a sushi or thai destination for me in the future, but it will do if you're in a bind.

This Place is great, the food is always very delicious and the portions are perfect everytime. I have eaten in and ordered for delivery and every time they are right on the money for customer service. definitely a go to for delivery as they are always "overdelivering their under promise" for estimated time. Definitely recommend the chicken or beef salad, their homemade dressing is wonderful. Definitely earned my return business on multiple occasions.

Ordered delivery one cold Denver evening. Some kind of curry was something that struck my fancy. That's what I got! The eggrolls and hot and sour soup are also very tasty!

Recommendation: Spicy Thai is a nice little unassuming Asian restaurant serving Chinese, Thai, and Japanese specialties. Food: My favorite dish here is the Jalapeno Steak and sometimes I'll get it with shrimp instead of steak. It's already spicy, but I order it extra spicy and they always oblige. Lunches come with a crispy egg roll and soup. The hot and sour soup is very tasty and has a nice little kick. A while back they also added a sushi bar and now offer sushi specials for lunch. All the ingredients are always fresh and delicious. Price: The lunch specials are pretty reasonably priced at under $7. The sushi specials are a little more pricey, but you still can get 2 rolls for $8 or 3 rolls for $12 - and each roll typically has 8 pieces! Service: They have typical table service here where you order with a waiter and they bring out your food. It's attentive enough for a casual dining experience. Sushi takes a little longer to prepare, but it's worth the wait. Ambiance: This restaurant is located in a strip mall, so there isn't much here for ambiance, but it's clean and comfortable. Kids I don't remember ever seeing a specific kids menu, but if your kids like typical Asian flair they would fit in just fine here.

I've had a couple vegetarian meals here but don't remember most of them. What I love is the tofu pad thai. You get an insane amount of tofu (yay), plenty of sauce, and the sauce is very sweet (which I like). The portion is large and usually good for 2-3 meals. I have dined in a couple of times but I mostly would rather just pick up the pad thai to go. If you live close they deliver :)

My boyfriend loves thai and I love sushi so this sounded perfect for us. It was pretty close to our apartment so we tried it one night when we didn't feel like cooking. The interior was contemporary which was surprising for an asian restaurant. It had a small, quaint dining room and a little sushi bar. It happened to be stormy that night so it was nice to see it through the glass windows along the front. The menu was pretty large. It was hard to decide what we wanted so we ordered several things. We started with cheese wontons which were pretty typical. A nice touch was the hot mustard spicy face in the sweet and sour sauce. My boyfriend ordered a sweet potato sushi roll for the next round and I had the rainbow and passion rolls. He thought his roll was just ok and I thought mine were really good for the price. Definitely scratched my itch for sushi. He ordered peanut curry for the main course and I had jalepeno steak. He specifically asked for his dish to be extra hot but it ended up being more bland than anything. I thought the dish tasted ok but it was certainly not spicy enough. My jalepeno steak had a little kick and the leftovers were much better the next day. Our server Sarah was really sweet. I would go back even if it was just for the friendly service.

I never thought I'd write a review for 3 stars. I see a point in Yelping about great places- or helping others avoid the true pits out there. But this place is pretty bland and I'd give it 2 stars although you can get booze there. And warm saki when its snowing makes any meal better! I don't like to be critical. So I won't. But I think this place tries to do too much. To all you yelpers wondering if you should come outta your way to explore this asian hole in the wall- you really shouldn't stop here. (Unless it's snowing and you need a saki).

I just can't get on board with places that claim to be Thai but then serve Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese food! I just can't! I wouldn't say is a bad place to eat but it wasn't my favorite. I was excited that they offered brown rice and that they had cheap beer during happy hour, but I was so sad when I couldn't find green papaya salad! Come on, THAI is in the name of the restaurant! The boy ordered drunken noodles and apparently liked them since he practically licked the plate when he was done but I thought my dish was a little too salty.

This place was unique and tasty. My wife and I enjoyed it very much!

This is my typical lunch spot and I love it! This place has great lunch deals but dinner is pretty pricey so definitely only go for lunch. The sushi is great but again only during lunch specials. The staff is very friendly once you get to know them. The location seems a little sketchy but the ambiance, staff and food makes up for the location. Perfect lunch location

Thankfully everyone in my house loves to cook. Unfortunately that can lead to the three of us competing for counter space and all of my family members fully believe that they are a more talented cook and can do whatever I'm doing, better. Occasionally however we give our cook top and oven a break for "dial-a-dinner" night. This usually means pizza from a variety of excellent options in our neighborhood. Asian is the other option and after trying lots of options, I've decided that Spicy Thai is my favorite. A bit on the pricey side but if you have a take out menu you can always use their 10% off coupon. The portions are large. My husband loves really spicy curry and the Green Curry with Chicken dinner is outstanding. Based on coconut milk with lots of green curry, white meat chicken and large chunks of veggies. This dish tastes very fresh, not like the typical steam tray fare which comes from so many others. I have tried and like many menu items. My favorite is the Moon Harbor which is a southern Chinese dish. Ground chicken with fresh basil, onions and bell peppers served with crisp lettuce leaves. The fact that the lettuce arrives cool and crisp (instead of warm and wilted) is a real plus. I also love their pot stickers and Thai Hot and Sour Soup. The soup has lots of veggies and tofu and the broth is flavorful and very spicy - and not loaded with corn starch thickener. Delivery service is prompt. We've also eaten "in" at Spicy Thai and really enjoyed it.

Simply fantastic. These guys went above & beyond the expected standard of service for my delivery order. And the food tasted fresh and not too salty. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

My friend showed me this place recently and I was impressed. The quality of the food was surprisingly good for being in a little strip mall.

I still LOVE spicy Thai and it's close to my house so fast delivery and or pick up, but one thing that I find consistent is that their brown rice tastes old and cold almost every time. I understand that majority of people don't order brown rice, so my guess is that the brown isn't as fresh as the white. Just something to take into consideration. Brown rice and white rice are both good for you and the differences are honestly very little as far as nutritional value... But if you prefer the taste be wary.

Reasonable prices, great portions, delicious food! I always get a few staple items: pad thai and spring rolls. They don't rock all items - I wasn't crazy about the egg drops or cheese wontons.. But the noodle dishes and sushi are good! Another cool thing - you can order online for delivery or carry out. Delivery takes a little while, but worth it if you want delicious thai food dropped at your door step.

Love this place for delivery. Food is pretty good, and seems to be a little bit more on the healthy side. They have always been consistent, quick, and friendly. I have yet to try their sushi but I will have I think I will give it a shot next time!

Excellent, attentive service during our late lunch this Tuesday. Very good food. Very authentic American-Thai. (Fortune cookies?) Fresh ingredients. I had a view of the stove top from where I was sitting and could watch the cook make my meal. I think that is a good sign.

What Spicy Thai sometimes lacks in authenticity it makes up for with quality. This small joint is a frequent stop for lunch in or to pick up dinner at the office. The service has always been impeccable, the prices have been fair, the venue has been spotless and the food is always good. I recommend the Thai Coconut Soup to start off and then you can pick from pages 2 and 3 on the menu at random because I promise you'll be happy with whatever you order. The rice served in the shape of a heart and the smiley face in the sweet and sour sauce serve up a smile that goes nicely with a big plate of curried noodles.

Okay, the sesame chicken and pad thai are ridiculously good. food was fast, place was super clean, and i have to admit -- i LOVED the decor. totally not what i pictured in this strip mall, but they pulled it off! We ordered for delivery one night and it wasn't as good, but when you want to dine in the restaurant, stop and check it out!

I really like spicy thai. They have a good happy hour ($1 piece sushi) and really love their drunken noodles. The sushi is decent as well. There delivery as well!

Disappointing. The pad thai was oddly orange and tasted way too sweet. Hubby's drunken noodles jae (vegetarian) tasted like fish. The quest for decent asian food in denver continues ...

I used to eat here all the time when I worked a block away. Good food. While generally i don't like restaurants that make Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc Spicy Thai is not bad. Their brown rice is really good. When we are in the area and it's lunch time it's one of the places we think of stopping.

Best Thai that I have found so far in Denver, I have ordered for pickup and delivery but never eaten inside. Delivery was fast. The to-go items are enough food for 3 meals easy! The steamed pot stickers, pad thai, pad see ew, and tom ka were all really good. Have not tried the Chinese or Japanese food they serve yet.
