Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pizza is really amazing. The combinations of toppings are fun and different and I haven't had a bad pizza from them.

Surprised they don't have a better overall rating, though it's early days, and the numbers game is weird. Anyway, I consider myself a fan. I am picky about where my cheese comes from, and not knowing the source, I go cheese-free here, and I dig the pie. Great crust and great veggies. Good sauce. Overall a tad salty, I think. But you can grab a good beer and good cheap wine and the service is great. Location is blocks from my house so an easy stroll for a good dinner... nice and easy. Tasty, too. Oh, and quick!

Pizza hear is amazing. The new crust that's mostly white flower is amazing. I wasn't a fan of the wheat crust. So if you've only eaten pizza there with the wheat crust go back and give it another try.

Yummy pizza and great service. Very casual and good for kids. The pizza with corn and creme fresh is amazing!

I feel compelled to update my review here after a return visit tonight. They've figured out the crust. Very tasty now. Even 30 minutes later, after a drive home and all the nonsense attended to before we were able to sit down and eat. I had three styles and would recommend them all. However, top of my list was the white styled sausage and broccolini. Side salad was good, too. I will return more often now. Thanks to the Locale crew for getting it right.

Let me start this review by saying, "We LOVE the Boulder Locale!" So, this last weekend we decided to try the new fast-casual version of Locale on 32nd. I love the entire concept of fast-casual pizza. It's such a great idea. Love the decor and design of this location. And the service was great! But, the new dough they are using is NOT good! It has too much of a wheat flavor and takes away from the excellent toppings. It also doesn't cook the same as the original dough. It's thicker and doughier. I really hope they don't use it at the restaurant in Boulder. I will not be returning if they make the switch. So, for those of you who haven't tried the Boulder location, do it quick! Before they transition to this "new, better dough".

  • Nick M.

Love the place love the staff and the pizza is quick and very good! I can't wait to come back and try different styles. This is my second time here and both experiences have been great!

  • Louie B.

I do like the dough better at the flagship Boulder location, however this place is still great. Awesome fast-casual option in the Highlands - super tasty, affordable and kid-friendly. And the $5 glasses of wine are pretty good too :) And Sweet Cow ice cream is just across the street ~ yum

We read the earlier reviews about the crust quality, but decided to give it a try anyway, and I'm glad we did. Judging by our experience, they've worked out any recipe kinks from their first few weeks in business, because we loved our pizzas and the service was amazing. We will definitely be going back!

I'm so excited to have a great pizza place in the neighborhood! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the prices are great, and the pizza is delicious! This is a fast eating experience that doesn't taste anything like fast food. I would highly recommend Pizzeria Locale!

  • Brandi B.

The staff and atmosphere are awesome. Pizza is amazing now that they got new crust. Give it another try if you weren't into the dough before. They have that awesome pudding for only $1.5 which is incredible.

Fast delicious and cheap pizza. Great selection of toppings and fantastic northern Italian style crust. One size that's just the right size to fill you up. One of the best pizzas in Denver.

  • susan c.

Great toppings, super staff, great idea...except the crust. It was so soggy, like a slice of whole wheat bread with pizza toppings. Perhaps they need an alternative crisp crust. The crust overpowers everything. We will try again if they offer a different crust.

Pizzeria Locale is a fantastic addition to the Highlands neighborhood. I have always been extremely impressed by the level of service at Pizzeria Locale, both in Boulder and Denver. I went to buy two pizzas tonight, and asked for a recommendation for the second pizza. The employee recommended two different pizzas, and must have misheard what I asked for. He came out while I was waiting and verified the actual pizza I had ordered, even though they had made the other pizza. He offered to make the pizza I had asked for in addition, free of charge. I said it was completely fine and not to worry, but he insisted. I greatly appreciated his generosity and the excellent level of service. All three pizzas were absolutely amazing! I will be continue to be a loyal customer and want to thank Pizzeria Locale for making such an effort to offer the highest level of service. I will be back!

I was so excited to try the highlands location because I love the one over on broadway! The pizza was awful...the dough was soggy on the bottom but burnt on top, they made it way too salty, and they let it start going around for a second time in the oven because no one was paying attention. So disappointed.

    (1)
  • Evan S.

Fast, friendly service. Reasonable pricing. I wish the whole wheat crust had a little more crunch, but it has good flavor. Truthfully, it's probably a four star, but there is no way it deserves a three star average.

    (5)
  • Jackie W.

super disappointing. Was excited about this new restaurant, but found it to be a tasteless pizza with a burnt tasting crust. Everyone in my party agreed.

    (1)
  • Carrie F.

Been here twice and found the service to be very friendly, quick and pizzas delicious. Prices are cheap -- especially if you order from their "Classics" menu (as opposed to the build your own-- the toppings can add up). The Mais pizza is awesome. Not giving 5 stars as I agree with some of the other reviews -- the crust is a bit like biting into wheat bread and would be better if a bit crispier.

Live in the highlands and love the restaurants on 32nd Ave. I have been to Pizzeria Locale twice since they opened. Awesome Salad, and very fresh toppings. Both times the pizza crust was soggy and uncooked..by the time you walk to the table the pizza is cold. Love the atmosphere.. awesome location. They need to figure out how to make a crispy crust and piping hot pizza... I wanted to try to submit this again. Went back for a third time and the pizza crust was still soggy. What a great place and location.. would love to see this posted so they can address the crust.

    (2)
  • Louise E.

I'm giving it a two star rating only because the service was so great. We've lived in the highlands for 11 years and love to eat local! Checked out pizzeria locale last night with the family. Eek, the pizza was super soggy, no one liked the crust and the sauce tasted like spaghetti-o sauce. Really weird experience and taste. I'm bummed it was so bad. But there's lots of pizza options in our hood.

    (2)
  • Ellen M.

I recently went to your new restaurant in the Highlands...what has happened to the pizza dough?? I loved the original dough at the locations in downtown Denver and Boulder, but this dough is soggy and burned at the same time. So disappointed!! I was told that the new dough is now made from whole grains and while I appreciate the health advantage of whole grins, why can't the original dough crust be an option as well?

    (1)
  • R R.

This is the closest thing to Naples pizza that we have had. Excellent! The choice of toppings is perfect! Thank you, Pizza Locale for offering capers and prosciutto.

  • Amy B.

I was excited to try this location as I've been to the Boulder location and really enjoyed their pizza. It was, unfortunately, the worst pizza I've ever tasted. The previous reviewer, Chuckie G, was spot on with his description of the bitterness of the pizza crust. It was seriously awful. There was some terrible reaction that the crust/cornmeal had once it hit the oven and was cooked. It was burnt to a crisp on top of that (but one of ours was not burnt and still had that bitter, disgusting taste). The dough is different here than in Boulder (wheat here, I believe) and was way worse. I am hoping by posting this review that the owner will see and make some serious adjustments, as I believe they can put out a good pizza based on their other location. We were given free pizza cards as an apology once we complained, but I don't think I could bear to eat another one of those pizzas even if it were free (yikes...it was really that bad).

    (1)
  • Marisa G.

I came here again the other night to eat the super yummy gluten free pizza. They happened to be out of dough for it. I was disappointed but didn't get upset with the staff because these things happen. Then apologized, bought my dinner AND have me a gift card to come back for a complimentary pizza. Are you serious? That is incredible customer service. Again just so impressed with this place!!

    (5)
  • Greg D.

The pizza is awesome! I love that you can pick your toppings and your personal pizza is ready in less than 3 minutes. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. What more do you need?! Give this place a shot you won't be disappointed. I would recommend the supreme pIzza.

  • Becky B.

I don't have only been to another Pizzeria Locale before, so I can't really weigh in on the new vs. old crust debate. I will say that my husband and I went there yesterday to take out two pizzas, a salad, and some desserts, and it was delicious (yes, the pizza with the new crust too!). It is a great value for the high quality ingredients and product. Also, the interior is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so nice and they all have tremendous customer service skills. They were so nice and friendly to us! We will certainly be back often!

  • Skyan Z.

They changed the dough to a more traditional white based mixed with Wheat and I dig it. Not only is it healthier than your normal dough, it's got a very good taste that doesn't overpower the delicious sauce and fresh toppings. I've now turned into a big a fan

    (5)
  • Ant B.

Clean, bright place with fun window seating and great wall photos that remind me of when I visit my family in Italy. The pizza is spot on to what I've had in caserta...people complain about the bitterness of the dough, but we don't know what they were talking about. Great sauce and mozzarella. The service was fast and friendly. Will bring my parents there...they will love it!

  • Carolyn S.

The verdict is in. For a serve yourself joint, this place is EXCELLENT. Friendly, clean-cut staff helped us dissect the menu and made great suggestions. I got a custom white pizza with arugula and prosciutto. My boyfriend got the Diavlo. Both were as good or better than any sit-down wood fired pizza place. We also got beer and wine on tap. $5 a glass and delicious. The manager solidified an already wonderful experience with their signature salted caramel pudding on the house. Can I buy a case? Great experience and better than many other more expensive options in the Highlands. We will definitely be back!

Staff was good pizza was so salty was like the whole bottle of salt got dropped in the sauce or dough. Salad had a tart taste. It was very pricey I gave it a shot but i perfer elsewhere.

  • Malia M.

This place is amazing!! It's our first time and being here so we got our second pizza free. On top of that they gave us two coupons for two free pizzas for our next visit.... Just for being first timers!! Then they offered free dessert! No doubt that we will be back

  • Nova Z.

This pizza was simply delicious. We were nervous because it seemed to have mixed reviews on here and I really wanted to try pizza alley across the street but they were closed. The sauce looked watery and boring but to our surprise it was full of just, the right amount of flavor. The restaurant was clean and the staff were all cheery helpful pretty people. We will definitely be back for this rustic style pizza! I also have no idea what the problem is with the crust, we thought everything was good! Had the veggie and the pepperoni

From So Cal visiting Denver and found this place. The staff was super friendly and the pizza is great. I had the Bianca--so different and good. Their gluten free crust is delicious and made me so happy! Definitely check it out!

For a quick to order pizza place this place is great. They have lots of fresh ingredients: whole wheat and gluten free crust options, lots of veggie options, several meat options, different cheese options and good salads. Exactly what you would expect and more from the guys of chipotle.

  • Geoff B.

Love their pizza not to mention there crust is amazing. My only complaint is the keep the place so cold if u don't eat your pizza in 30 seconds it will freeze. Great building and friendly staff.

I had been meaning to visit Pizzeria Locale in the Highlands since I hadn't been there in a while. There was also an uproar of sorts about the crust and I wondered if adjustments had been made since the whole wheat dough was overshadowing all the great things about this place. I stopped in today to grab margherita and Calabria pizzas since I had a coupon. I chatted with the pizzaiolas (sp?) and they said were now using 85% double zero flour and 15% whole wheat (apparently for taste, sustainability, nutrition, or some combination of reasons). Regardless this is an improvement. When I brought the pizzas home my wife and I agreed they were great. So at this point I have to give four stars at least. Here are the facts as to why. The sauce and toppings are great. The oven is effective and innovative (some folks bad mouthed the oven but they don't know what they are talking about). The price is right and in fact cheap (again, some folks say this place is expensive but they must be paying 1990's prices wherever they usually go because $5.75 for a margherita pizza is a great deal). Finally, the crust is very good (If it were 100% double zero that would be even better). Bottom line, this should be on your short list for Highlands places to grab a bite.

Best pizza I had in a while. Really friendly staff who you could tell truly wanted to give you a warm hospitable service. The place has a sleek modern design. The pizza was fresh as they make it in front of you where you actually build your own. I would go back every day if I could...

Simply put the crust is terrible. Why would I want wheat?? There is something funny such as a bitter and sour taste to the dough too. must be changed or will not return. It doesn't seem like I'm the only one here who agrees. UPDATE: they changed their crust and what a difference. The owner actually sent some free pizza coupons after seeing the review. That's the way to do business. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Tried 5 of their pizzas and will were very tasty.

Recently went to PL and had a terrible experience. I noticed that all of the employees were wearing gloves except the guy that was making my pizza. He should have been wearing gloves but he wasn't. Given how easily food borne illnesses can spread, I was surprised by this. After he finished making my pizza he then wiped his bare hand all over his backside and proceeded to make another pizza. I told the guy at the register I wanted my pizza remade because his co- worker wasn't wearing gloves. Both of them seemed to be completely bothered by this. The guy put on gloves and remade my pizza without the extra basil I asked for. I was still charged for the extra anyway. We won't be going back anytime soon.

We ate at the Pizzeria Locale in Boulder about 3 mouths ago, and loved it. We thought we would give this restaurant a try and we were not disappointed. You order your pizza in line and it's ready by the time you pay. They have a great selection local beer. We had the Pizzeria Salad, with the Diabola, Crudo, and Supreme Pizzas. All were great.

Walked in with the parents who were visiting from Florida. We immediately noticed the cleanliness of the place.. and its neat decor. The menu was simple (only one size pizza avail) but appetizing. The staff was knowledgeable, proud and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The food, which was fantastic, arrived amazingly fast. The prices are right in line with an $8 - $10 per head price point (entrée & a premium beer). I'm hard-pressed to think of a single criticism. LoVe this restaurant!

It was a sullen evening when I was listlessly roaming 32nd avenue under a spell of sadness. In spite of my mild depression, I suddenly felt the acute desire to eat good, cheap food. Looking up from my downward gaze I discovered two pizzerias on either side of the street, one of which was Pizzeria Locale. I chose this option and I must confess, I still don't know if the alternative would have provided me with more satisfaction. Regardless, I wandered in and was greeted by an enthusiastic young man who energetically gave me the lowdown. All pizzas are individual sized pizzas which are quickly baked in 5 minutes. After a few moments spent confusedly staring at the Italian names for the pizzas, I chose one that had prosciutto on it. I handed another young man my credit card and was mildly pleased at the magnitude of the price. A few minutes later I was handed a pretty big pizza in a box. I meandered through the dark night, musing over my thoughts on the way home. Maybe everything was going to be okay. In the end, everything turned out to be all right. Including the pizza.

Let me first start by saying that we're BIG fans of Pizzeria Locale in Boulder. It's been great so we were excited to find out about the new location. Obviously it's a different setup - not a full-service restaurant. It's setup more like a Noodles & Company; order at the counter, take a seat and walk up to grab your order when it's ready. We were also excited to try their new whole wheat crust but were rather disappointed. The consistency was good and the toppings were great but there was an EXTREMELY bitter dusting of flour/cornmeal on the bottom of the crust that totally turned me off!! I didn't even want to finish my pizza. My boyfriend didn't seem to mind as much as I did but did say that he could taste the bitterness. I don't mind the different setup - I think it's a better fit for this location in the Highlands anyway. I just personally was so turned off by the bitterness that I will likely not return...unless I start to hear that it's changed. Sorry Pizzeria Locale.

Just ate here for the first time, pizza was really dank, great sauce and crust, prosciutto was super fresh. Staff was beyond chill and super accommodating. Will def come here anytime I'm in the highlands and want some authentic pie.

Looking for a quick bite to eat late one evening and realized we had just received a buy-one-get-one coupon, so we dropped in around 9:15 pm on a Sunday night. The counter staff were very friendly and explained how the restaurant worked and gave us the run-down of the menu. I ordered the classic mais, which is a white pizza with corn, creme fraiche , mozzarella, and prosciutto. My husband ordered the classic campagnola which did not have cheese, but had anchovies, capers, green olives, and garlic. The pizza came out in about two minutes after going into the oven. We also ordered a beer and sparkling water. Happy to see they serve beer here! Our pizza was pretty good and just the right amount (each pie is a personal sizes pizza). We were happy it came out quick too! The restaurant is pretty nice looking. Marble tables, white subway tiles, and dark wood make the restaurant feel open, clean, and sharp. Liked the counter service, liked the staff, and liked the pizza!

I put a pause on my visit to Pizzeria Locale for a while just in hopes that they would figure out the opening kinks (although, it is a CO chain). I've read a litany of negative reviews about everything from the crust to the price to the concept. And I'm here to tell you that all of those things are just fine and more. First - the crust. So it sounds like all ya'll need to try the new crust. Pizzeria Locale went out to find a proprietary blend to make their dough. I dig that. But it sucked, according to everyone. So they tried again, this time with more white flour / less wheat flour. Along with the new crust, you get a selection of fresh toppings and sauce(s). I went with ricotta and prosciutto, which was a little combo made in heaven. Side note, I've had pizza in Italy. Hand tossed, wood fired Italian pizza. This was maybe 85% as good as the real-deal, which I consider a great success. Price - I walked out of here with a pizza and a salad for ~$10. The pizza was enough for leftovers. This was my first time dining at a Pizzeria Locale. At first glance this place nails it with an excellent location, beautiful atmosphere, great service, interesting offerings and a spot on price point. The pizza, however, does not hold up. My dining companion and I both remarked at how bitter the bottom of the crust was on each of our respective pizzas. It was so overpowering that I really couldn't even taste the toppings on the pizza. This was a bitterness that was almost medicinal in nature. Don't get me wrong, I typically enjoy bitter foods and bitter drinks, but this was very off-putting. I may give it another shot just to see if that was a fluke, but right now I have to say pass.

Yum. This is a great place for pizza. The parent company is in Boulder and it's a fast casual version of that place. Hand tossed... Super fresh local ingredients, fired in a pizza stove. The pizza is good... And cheap-ish.... I Love their corn pizza. Weird, but it's freaking delish. I love the prosciutto/arugula one too their Margherita is solid. You can make your own. They are going to be the next chipotle. Just watch. This will take the country by storm. Fast casual food.. Simple concept, with a conscious selection of ingredients sourced ethically... Paired with table wine and good customer service? I'm in.

I think everything about this place is delectable. The crust is original and delicious. The flavor combinations make my mouth water. Today I tried their salad and meatballs for the first time and I must say I was delighted by the taste of both. Pizzeria locale is a great fast food restaurant for pizza.

I love Pizzeria Locale! I've been here twice and it's always clean, service is friendly, decor and arrangements are spacious and most importantly the pizza is delicious! Best of all your pizza comes out in two minutes, it's fast food without the greasy junk that usually is in fast food. I haven't been to other locations so I can't compare notes but the dough tasted fine to me, no bitter taste and I love that it's chewy without the heavy doughy feel. I definitely plan to be a frequent patron of this restaurant.

Incredible pizza. Incredible service. SO impressed by this Pizzeria Locale! I have visited maybe 10 times now and never experienced anything but delicious pizza and fantastic customer service. The crust is fluffy and doughy but crispy and exactly how I like it. They are incredibly reasonably priced, quick, and you can eat lunch for less than $10 and be in and out in 20 minutes! Free, easy street parking and a charming neighborhood to boot. Can't say enough good things about this Pizzeria Locale location. Thank you Pizzeria Locale!

Pizzeria Locale never disappoints and their food is always fresh. The staff is always welcoming by greeting me every time I walk through their doors. You really cannot beat the quality for the price. I highly recommend their meatballs, smoked mozzarella, freshly sliced prosciutto and the Pizzeria salad. Both the white garlic sauce and red sauce are full of flavor. I especially love burnt crust on my pizza. It adds a great crisp as well as flavor to an already delicious pizza!

Every time we have been here, we are happily greeted by the super friendly employees right as we walk in...they are always so genuinely nice, and helpful! Because we come so often, my husband and I have tried almost every pizza and there isn't one that we don't like, but we do have our favorites: his - the diavlo & mine - the bianca (I sub pepperoni for the sausage) ... So Good. I occasionally get a side salad when I feel like the broccolini on my Bianca isn't enough of a vegetable, and I think for the $3.50 price tag that it's really a great deal and a decent salad. They have had Epic Brewing IPAs our last few visits, which is a huge plus for us (who doesn't like pizza & beer?!) - and bring your wino friends because they have wine on-tap. Lastly, if you aren't feeling ice cream (Sweet Cow is right across the street) then I would highly recommend the butterscotch pudding... it is heavenly.

After anxiously awaiting Pizzeria Locale's newest location in the Highlands, I was unfortunately somewhat disappointed. The ambience is pleasant, open, and airy, though I think this neighborhood would have preferred a pizza place where servers take your order and you feel as though you can sit down and relax for a bit over your meal, rather than the subway/qdoba-style of order and pick-up at the counter. Counter service has at least been friendly though. While the pizza is pretty darn good with tasty ingredients and a fluffy, yet chewy outer crust, that's where the compliments end. The inner crust becomes overly saturated where the toppings sit and your pizza ends up too soggy. This isn't helped by the plastic knives and forks on hand which aren't able to entirely cut through your slice. Due to both of these issues, what happens is that you end up slicing through the paper underneath your pizza and end up getting little bits in each bite. (By the way, eating with plastic knives and forks, especially the type they use, takes away from the dining experience.) While Pizzeria Locale had the chance to absolutely crush it due to their location, the fact that they're a pizzeria, and that this neighborhood loves quality dining locales, they unfortunately will remain just "okay" unless changes are made.

The restaurant design is really pretty, the service is friendly and quick. I ordered the mais pizza and the toppings were great but as others have mentioned there is something seriously not good about the crust. It tastes and has the texture of a slice of whole wheat bread - really soft and even though it's slightly burnt it's still not crispy at all. Just kind of odd in my opinion. I visited this week so whatever recipe change they've made hasn't addressed this issue (it didn't taste bad but just not good).

I give it an A, I had pizza Margherita and it reminded me of the chewy crust pizza I ate in Naples. I love the fact it only takes 2 minutes for it to be ready AND I thought the price was great. If you like the thin chewy crust, this pizza is for you. Staff was super friendly, I will definitely be back!

My wife and I live nearby, and have gone 5 or 6 times with the hope that the crust would stop tasting burnt. Alas, it has not. As others have noted, the ingredients that go on the pizza are great (and thus there's a lot of potential for the pizza to be good), but the burned crust ruins the pizza.

Great pizza, great service. Flavors were rich and delicious, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It seems relatively priced; you get a good amount of food, though I'm not sure it's worth eight dollars for a personal pizza.

Not good. The staff is really friendly and it is a good idea, but the fast cooking of the pizza just makes it taste burnt. Not charred wood fired pizza, burnt crust that is still soft. Again, friendly staff, but I'd rather have a slice from a few doors away.

The concept and selling point of this place is that your pizza will be ready in 2 minutes. The problem is, your pizza tastes like it. I had a margherita pizza. My thought was, if they aren't doing the basics right, there's no point in trying anything else. It was soggy and they didn't even bother to remove thick stems from the basil leaves. If I was a drunk college kid looking to wolf something down at 2AM, I'm sure this place would be fine. But, with all the other quality pizza options in the neighborhood, I can't see going back here.

Great location, clean and friendly environment, but this is the 3rd time I've gone (and last) and every time the pizza comes out blazing fast, but it's burnt. Great ingredients, concept, and speed of service, but if I have to choke down burnt pizza it's not worth the price.

I'm just going to say it: The whole wheat crust is a fail. I usually gravitate toward whole wheat and whole grains, but their dough formula at this location is not nearly as good as the refined white flour that they use in Boulder and Broadway (if they are still using the white flour at all). The whole wheat version changes the texture of the crust for the worse, and it makes the dough more bitter. I won't be back unless they have the original crust as an option. Was this Steve Ells idea? If so, I'd let Bobby run the show. I should also note that my pizza was doughy and wet in the center and to the point of being burned on the outer edge.

Went in for the first time and the staff was so helpful and patient! I ended up ordering the margharita as well as a more earthy pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms that they recommended. Both were so delicious. I think my favorite part was the red pepper infused olive oil.
