Great food (and I'm usually pretty picky about Mexican food). I had the queso dip as an appetizer and barbacoa tacos for my entree. Both were delicious. The barbacoa meat was very tender and moist, I really enjoyed it. The house chips were also excellent. They have great happy hour specials too (currently 2 draft beers for $4 from 3-6pm M-F).

Ahhh. Mexican that tastes like proper Amerimexican food. The breakfast burrito is freaking enormous and provided not only that day's breakfast, but the leftovers provided excellent "drunk food" for the evening after. There was absolutely nobody there when we went on Saturday. The staff is pretty nice, though I only saw one server and the chef.

Bad green chile and watery, flavor-less salsa. You can usually count on a smothered burrito to hit the spot, but not with this place. Denver has plenty of good Mexican food to choose from, so I have no doubt this place won't survive.

After eating at this restaurant my bank account was hacked by someone. Beware of you card information. The food was ok. The service was terrible and we were the only ppl in the restaurant. Will not go back.

Not impressed! The food was bland and Luke warm. I have had better retried beans out of a can. The salsa tasted like they just blended a tomato and didn't add anything to it. Now I understand why I'm the only customer in here at dinner time. When it should be busy.

I went to this place to try it out because I saw it was new and all I can say is WOW!!!! I am blown away. The food was so good! The prices were low. The margaritas were awesome and cheap as well. I am definitely coming back here. I recommend this to anyone who likes Mexican food. They have a really awesome menu too. Bacon wrapped shrimp??? Ummm YES PLEASE! Tamales were awesome! Chips and salsa SO GOOD. Steak cooked to perfection.

I should have believed Jaime L. Terrible restaurant. I had the small margarita. So watery I couldn't drink it. Asked for a replacement with no mix. Not much better. Food not terrible but not that good either.

Being born and raised in Colorado, I have an affinity for smothered, (Colorado) green chili burritos, and this place does not disappoint. This new jaunt is in a location that has seen lots of turnover lately. However, if you are willing to trek a few feet off of Broadway, this is a gem. The bar in the center is phenomenal, and serves authentic drinks with a great culture. Definitely a great joint for a light, fresh math at happy hour or a hugely satisfying burrito.

Super disappointing! I never write reviews...but I thought this experience needed to be shared. First it wasn't so bad - the homemade salsa & chips were excellent! We ordered queso for our app & it was so watery we couldn't keep it on the chip!! Still optimistic I ordered an a la carte crispy relleno. What concerned me the most happened next - the cheese on my relleno was old and moldy!! I could smell it when it was brought out but I tasted it just to be sure...I had to send it back and I NEVER send back food!! It just makes me nervous what else they may let expire in their kitchen...especially since they have shrimp and catfish on their menu! Also on a side note the 18oz Margs still only have less than one shot of tequila in them...lots of mix...I suggest going for the smaller marg, same amount of liquor, better price. Hopefully this was just a fluke visit, as I love their patio and location in the city, but be forewarned about expired food!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
