Great pizza and service. Try the garlic knots and wings.

Food here is amazing and a very relaxed atmosphere. Don't expect to much on service. Everyone that works here is pretty young but they all have great vibes. Most things just take a while. I come here like once a week. Love everything I've tasted. Garlic knots are a must and the meatball sliders are great! Full bar as well! And they have trivia night on Wednesdays!

Just checked this place out. Really good. Fellow East Coast refugees will find this gem the fix needed for NY style pizza. No, this ain't Brooklyn but good enough for this guy. Service on point, nice people running the place, good beer choices and the friggin pizza was great! Fresh toppings, fresh cheese. No heat lamp deficit.......well done. I shall return.

Why would I EVER order from a pizza place who's response is that "they cannot provide a delivery time estimate" and that 1 hour, is not reasonable, for my 14 inch pizza. 2 blocks away?!?? Hi - but as someone who worked at a pizza place for years, I know it takes no time to make a pizza, and if you're driver is so swamped: get another driver (how profound?!)!!! Don't go here - your and my business is not appreciated and there are PLENTY of other pizza joints to choose from. Also - phone answerers, KNOW YOUR MENU, it's your job!! I have tried with this place, but that's it. DONE. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. -(negative) 4 stars all around.

I ordered delivery last Saturday during the Broncos game. We were told it would be approximately 45 minutes and were very pleased when the order came in less than 30 minutes. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, gluten free pizza with extra cheese and sauce and an order of wings. Everything was hot, delicious and as detailed on the menu. The wings were slightly spicy and sweet. There were mostly wings but a few drums. The pepperoni pizza had the right amount of sauce, cheese and meat. The gluten free pizza did have plenty of sauce and cheese. I would definitely try this restaurant to go dine in or order from again when I'm in north Denver. Yum yum pizza pub.

Nothing like NY pizza. The crust was burned, hard, and too thick. You couldn't even fold it like a NY pizza. The Canadian bacon was microscopic like a bacon bit.The cheese was flavorless. Waste of $$ & calories

Some of the best pizza I've had in the area! The pricing is a little wonky at times (if you sub out one topping for another --- it isn't like it just takes the place of the first topping, they try to charge you extra for it unless you mention something) and is on the higher side in general. But overall the pizza itself is extremely delicious. I like this place way more than Tony P's, Right Coast and Hops and Pie.

Brought to my attention by a friend, we stopped in for lunch on a weekday to find the place completely empty, as in, we were the only customers. It was a little bit past the lunch hour, but I was still surprised to see the dining room so bereft of patrons. I can really see this as more of a dinner place. Anyway, the service was snappy and we had menus and drinks in a jiffy. The building is a pleasant retro fit of an older brick building. A narrow strip of patio seating along the sidewalk presents an al fresco option. Two floor layers with a raised bar area separated by walls create a cozy feel and good angles. There is a game room, rounding out this family oriented, neighborhood tavern. We split a pie and I had the house dinner salad. The salad was typical fare (greens mix, cabbage and carrots for color, Roma tomato slices and red onion) but fresh and presented properly. Dressing was served on the side. The pie is a Neapolitan style (thin crust) but piled high with toppings. We had a combination suggested on the menu and it was presented as advertised. The correct amounts of sauce and cheese complemented a sturdy crust and the distribution of toppings was good. All around a good experience and I would suggest this place to anyone who lives nearby.

Closest to a slice from a NYC place Ive found, nice and thin, greasy and wonderful. Cheap too.

    (5)
  • Brianne E.

Definitely pricey. When your lemonade is more than a slice of pizza, you might want to reevaluate your menu pricing. Slices were a good size, but really greasy, puddling kind of greasy. Nice location and space, but needs some attention to menu or it won't be around long.

I've been here several times. Their pizza is the closest to NY pizza I've found in Denver. The garlic knots are amazing! Basic beer and wines, I don't love the selection and usually am left wanting in that area. Cute historical building in the neighborhood. If you want basic NY pizza-this is your place.

  • Jill H.

I read all of the reviews..... I agree with most, and strongly disagree with some. I have been here several times and I will be very simple and direct in this review. The owners are the nicest people, and go out of their way to make everybody happy. I initially started talking to them because they were sitting next to me eating. Not sure who wouldn't think these guys are friendly? They do need a little better drink list, but they have a great selection, so if you know what you would like, this is not an issue. Their pizza is fantastic, I have tried everything around town, and though there are some great places, none rival this place. (especially the value) the slices are large, it seems to be a quarter of a pizza! Love this place!

I have been to this place 4 or 5 times now every time has been a bad experience... First few times the service was awful and the food not great it took 45 minutes to get my 2 slices. The beer list is week as well as the personalities of the people that work there. Today I ate there again the garlic nots came out in less then 2 minutes wow! Oh wait they were left over from the previous shift, they weren't good.. Also my slice and I'm no idiot I know good food. It was re heated also from last night....nice re heated burnt ring on the crust where the fresh cheese had been cooked twice... Overall this place sucks and I had hoped it would be good being so close to my home, oh well good luck to you NY pizza reheat pub I won't be back!

I really like this place a lot. Great sausage and meatballs no matter what you combine it with. The pasta yo-yo is rediculously good.

I came across this local pizza restaurant on yelp. I ordered two veggie calzones and they were good however they are way over priced. I paid $25 total. One of the calzones had only two veggies inside and it costed me 11.75. They don't take American Express and when I went to pick up the food it was dead...only 3 people in the entire restaurant, not a good sign. I only saw one server and no one was tending the bar. I won't be coming back.

They use a conveyor belt oven. HOLY CRAP! A conveyor oven? Are we kidding here? Not one respectable pizza place in New York uses a conveyor oven. How dare these guys call themselves a New York Pizzeria. If you like Dominos, Papa Johns and Little Ceasars.....you'll love this place. If you like authentic New York style neopolitan pizza, then avoid this place and try Pizza Alley right down the road.

It took a while to get service once seated but I think that was due to being under staffed the night we went. Kinda of a weird vibe in that they don't seem eager to serve you. Ordered a large white pizza and it was tasty but nothing memberable.

A great location and a charming building. Brick interior with large windows. We went on a Saturday afternoon, which was about half full, which was perfect. The pizza was good at a reasonable price. The wings appetizer was good, too. It was just a pleasant atmosphere for a weekend brunch. We'll be back.

  • Caryn P.

We dined last night. Nice interior, could have been a great hang out. Service was friendly. The food left something to be desired. The carbonara was not at all a traditional carbonara- the sauce came out pink? (I think Parisi carbonara is hands down, the best) My husbands pasta was bland too. No flavors popping out. The appetizer was ok- the mixed basket. Place was empty and food took a long time. Not sure how long this place will last with so many other great restaurants near by.

With all the pizza joints in the neighborhood, it's nice to find one that offers more than just 'za. My husband and I order delivery from here quite a bit and each time it arrives fast and hot. Their garlic knots are a must try, dripping in butter and tossed in garlic. Can't really go wrong with butter, garlic and bread. Their aglio olio is where it's at though. They offer a few different options; with chicken, without, with veggies, on the side, as an entree.. the list goes on. The aglio olio is usually cooked al dente with olive oil, garlic(notice the theme here?), chili flakes and lemon. I prefer the veggie one with broccoli and mushrooms while my husband likes the chicken aglio. The pizza is decent and the calzones are large enough for two for sure. The service is friendly, although a bit slow when ordering at times. All in all, a solid joint in the neighborhood.

Best NY style pizza I have had since I moved to Denver a year and a half ago! Fast delivery as well and great service! I will be ordering from this place a lot more often.

We had a wonderful meal a NY Pizza Pub. The "Good for Kids" rating was spot on and they were happy to have our rambunctious crowd there. Garlic knots and crayons kept the kiddos busy while our pizza was being made, not that the wait was very long. Excellent food was accompanied by excellent service and we will be going back soon.

Great local pizza place. Pub wings are deceptively good and the ricotta as a topping is always a go to. Easy to get into most weekends and great for pick up as well.

I must say that this is 1 of few places that I just drove by and decided to give it a try just for fun. I am so glad I did too, it has some of the BEST Italian food i've ever tasted. I mean this place had it all. Good music, Great service, Cheap beer, Great food, FREE wifi, and... oh did I say it had GREAT food. Simply stunning. if you are hungry and want a great atmosphere and want to be treated like you matter, come on down. Otherwise, there is always Pizza Hut lol

  • Sara B.

I am not a pizza fan...at all. So when my boyfriend and mom pointed this place out as our dinner joint, I was less than thrilled. Boy am I glad they dragged me into NY Pizza Pub. The menu is wonderful featuring many things besides pizza. I had the lemon chicken which was delightfully tart and crispy. The garlic knots are little nuggets of heaven. Go Go Go!

  • Ari C.

Back for a third try. Thought we would give it one last try and order a pizza with more specific instructions (don't use the conveyor, give it some time to crisp up). I must say that this time it come out very nicely done! We were actually able to fold over a slice and eat it like a real New York Pizza. Pretty tasty! Still no beer list, no drink list, no drink prices but there were a few "happy hour" beer specials that helped. This spot is so handy in our neighborhood...so we'll keep coming as long as they can duplicate the good pie that we had this time through.

NY Pizza Pub is in a great little neighborhood, at the quiet corner of 35th and Tennyson. It's got a nice airy vibe which makes you feel like you're on the streets of NYC (minus the noise, traffic, people and smells). I went for trivia on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was full, but definitely not packed. The trivia was great, although questions were only displayed on the TV in the bar, making it somewhat difficult for everyone seated in the restaurant. Our server was not excited to be working that night - a fact she did not try to hide AT ALL. She was kind enough to break down the receipt for our group though, so I left feeling a little bit better about the service overall. I can't comment on the pizza because I didn't have any, but it looked pretty darn good on the plate of the person next to me. Wings were good, but not anything I would go out of my way for. All in all, A-OK.

There were two things that I really liked about NY Pizza Pub. First, when we ordered a pie for lunch delivery on Saturday, it arrived about a half hour later. Granted, we live about a half mile away (and would have walked if I wasn't so busy working), so it should be fast, but that doesn't always mean anything. Second, the crust (and not just the edges, but the whole thing--even where it was smothered in sauce and cheese and toppings) had a fantastic crispy texture. It's totally not something typical of NY-style pizza and definitely wasn't what I was expecting, but crispy crust is a rare thing, so I'm going to appreciate it anyway. In fact, I think the only other times I've encountered it, there was either too much cornmeal involved, or I was basically eating charcoal. Yum. Other than those two notable attributes, the pizza here is a good step above Domino's and the other chains, but can't touch my favorite pizza, which I can get just a few blocks away. In other words, solid, but not exceptional.

  • Elly L.

My slice of cheese pizza should never have left the kitchen. The crust was burnt and when I turned the slice over it looked like cardboard. Our server was nice and brought me another slice which wasn't much better. The dining room was completely empty-now I know why.

The pizza is great. Love the location but the service is the worst. Sat at the bar to order and waited for 20 mins before acknowledge while the staff talked.

  • Veteran B.

Not really 'NY' style pizza (super large thin pizza). It's really just average pizza... Nothing really stands out. I'm guessing this place won't last another year. We'll see.

  • Katie B.

Very tasty pizza! You can definitely tell that their pizzas are made by hand from scratch. I'm a fan!

Best White Pizza in town. Not salty and not oily. Great crust too. Good beer and other drink selection. Plenty of seating and outside patio.

Great pizza spot. Enjoyed two large pies (meat combo and a cheese) and hot wings and poppers to feed the whole hungry group for under $50 and there was lots to take home. We were one of the first tables at around 4pm on a Thursday and every table was filled on our way out.

We went to NY Pizza Pub to try something new in the area. We found it was definitely a family spot, with screaming kids and an arcade in the back- which wasn't a bad thing, it's just not a romantic date spot. The building itself is very charming once inside, with exposed brick and big windows. The only bad thing about the windows was, we were seated next to one that was leaking. . . .which made us look around at the other decor a bit closer. There were a few odds and ends that were broken or needed attention, sticky table and broken ceiling lights, but what really began to bother us was the lack of attention when it came to our cups and plates. We ordered black box merlot - $4 and they came in dirty wine glasses - with lips still on my boyfriends glass. (Granted I know its hard to get lip gunk off glasses, but it still is gross) Our salads were good, nothing too crazy here, but we never received plates when our pizza arrived, so we simply hovered over our salad bowls. Overall the staff was very friendly and we will definitely try again sometime in the future, hoping that this experience was just a fluke. . . .My only tip for NY Pizza Pub is to pay attention to the details, in the end that is what makes a good experience.

Pizza is really good. The service is the worst in town. (P.S. ask for salad dressing on the side. The douse their salads in salad dressing)

I liked the pizza here, but I loooved the garlic knots! They were awesome and the marinara sauce for dipping was perfectly tangy. I could easily make a meal out of those and I'm sad I only had one the other night. I've been craving them ever since. I was here for a birthday party and it was a great space for that - plenty of room to sit or stand inside or outside on a small patio, with food set up buffet style and even a small room off to the side with arcade games (including Buck Hunter!). There was a creative cocktail list as well as a beer list featuring many local breweries. Our service was top notch and extremely friendly - they let us sit and linger until past closing with our drinks without rushing us at all. I'll be back to eat more pizza. Loved the brick wall interior, pretty bar and multi level floor plan with open windows inside.

We set out wanting to go to Hops and Pie, but after seeing the waiting line for that place, meandered a few blocks away and landed here. Maybe I can't get over the fact the the best flippin' South American cuisine (Sabor Latino) used to be in here for years--the atmosphere was blah. The pizza was blah. The service was ok. The jalapeno poppers that they warn are super hot, are really not hot at all. So...I don't believe I"ll be back. There are too many other pizza joints with something special and this one just seems like another fish in the sea.

Stopped in before a show on a Wednesday night. The bar was 95% packed mostly because whole groups of folks were sitting at the bar. No bueno. Leave the bar for singletons or couples. Sit your group of 4 at a damn table. To whoever wrote that they are on par with Benny's? Please. I'd say they are on par with Pazano's or another Neapolitan / cracker-crust style pizza place. The group of 4 at a table next to me had a very thin crusted pie. Hoping to avoid cracker crust when I ordered a slice, I went for the thick crust. It wasn't too thick but it was square and for being a "New York-style" slice, it was nothing like it. In fact, I was jealous of the slices kids were getting at the Marquis Pizza/Marquis Theater later that night. I guess I'll be back to try a thin crust slice some other time, as this spot is far more along my usual commute than Benny's. On non-pizza topics, the garlic knots are great. The service is great, fast and friendly. They apparently need a lot more bar seating given their neighborhood (aka a bunch of folks who don't own tvs and use bars/restaurants as a way to watch tv).

  • Rob B.

Really glad to have this place in the neighborhood. The pizza is excellent, on par with Benny Blanco and Two Fisted Mario's - which are as good as anything i had in my previous home of Brooklyn, NYC. The bar tenders are a bit green but they're friendly and fun to talk to. To top it off, they now have a mini game room with a Demolition Man pinball machine. This really made my day as both Tennyson Tap and the Berkley Inn recently removed their games. With this welcome surprise, I'll be visiting NYPP a lot more often.

  • Keith N.

Hit, miss, hit... Before they opened, I was skeptical when I saw the sign. "Authentic NY-style pizza" is great marketing lingo to at least get customers in the door. Rarely however, does it hold true in this neighborhood. Pizza Alley? Anthony's? Both are a shade better than Dominoes. NYPP pizza was fantastic the first time I visited. The dough was thin, crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chewy doughiness inside. The sauce was tangy and applied with care. Quality cheese and toppings with the right proportions. No over saucing. Hot and delicious. I got delivery the second time. I thought they may have stopped at Pizza Alley to grab my pie on the way to my house. It was bland and had some old-ass mushrooms on it. Third time was much like the first. I'll keep coming back as long as the good experiences outweigh the bad.

Honestly, I was fully prepared to dislike NY Pizza Pub. So many pizza places have opened up in the Highlands within the last few years that the bar has been set high. I was pleasantly surprised that our pizza was rather tasty and accurately described of the 'American pub' variety. Tomatoey red sauce, a thick coat of yellow cheese and a chewy/dry crust, this reminds me of the type of pizza they used to serve at a pizza parlor/video arcade that used to be up the street of my childhood home. Service was good, if a little distracted. They were really kind and accommodating to my Packer-fan hubby and made sure he faced a TV with the game and turned the sound up just for him. They even spent some time goading him which was pretty funny - for me. This might become a regular football hangout for us.

I went to the NY Pizza Pub Friday night and have been there several times before, I have never been disappointed yet, the service is great, always attentive and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. I have had just about everything on the menu. The garlic knots are unbelievable, the wings are fantastic not fried and the wing sauce has a perfect touch of spice along with a sweet bbq. Their pizza is Ny style and being from the east coast the pizza reminds me of home, always cooked to perfection and the ingredients are delicious. I've been to all the other pizza places in the neighborhood and none of the them even come close. Great beer selection and everything is reasonably priced. Also the owners are brothers and it's great how they go around from table to table talking with the customers, which is something you don't see very often anymore. Keep up the great work NY pizza Pub I'm a fan for life!!!!!

I wanted to like ny pizza pub. But your service , quality of your food make your place that last pizza place I will go or suggest to anyone when they come to the highland. I walk in with my daughter around 330 ask if they were open the bartender seemed super annoyed said yes then proceeded to continue what he was doing for 10more minutes before we were sat. Listen pal your place is dead and as I fitst time customer which I told you I was you might be nicer to people when they come in. It a small neighborhood word travels fast. We ordered a side of pasta with spaghetti sauce. Flavorless ... Pizza with mushroom fail! The topping werestill cold. Your no nyc style pizza place at all. I will be heading to hopsand pies to get the best pizza in the neighborhood.

I love this place! I have been here on a weekend for a date night, lunch with friends and solo happy hour and never dissapointed. The staff is friendly and quick, the owners are great and it is nice that one of them is usually in sight. Lunch special with 2 slices is a GREAT deal (and easly enough for 2 to be honest, the slices are huge), the wings are wonderful and seriously, a side of yoyo for $5 is enough for 2 meals and my FAVORITE thing on the menu outside of the delicious pizza.

    (5)
  • Sarah P.

$30.00 for a large thick crust delivered pizza that lacked in taste, flavor, not enough cheese or sauce...besides the fact the crust was burnt. Won't be ordering from here again. Back to Parisi, Ernie's, and various other pizza establishments for half the price and three times the taste...

  • C G.

This may be the best slice of pie in town! Anthony's used to be one of my favorites, but this is way better. However, my antipasta salad was not anything like I had expected. Iceberg lettuce (huge mound of it) with just ham and cheese - no Italian meats at all. Very disappointed in this part of my meal. Other than that, I will be back for another slice and most likely order for parties and such.

  • Debbi M.

I really want to like this place. I've tried it twice. No New Yorker would claim that crust back East. Service is lethargic even with an empty dining room. Dunno, maybe they just don't like me. They seem to like me at Hops n Pie and Pizza Public, I'll stick to those.

  • Alicia H.

I'm shocked this has so many stars and it's always so crowded. But then again I do live in yuppieville. Cool place inside. Service is pretty good... They were there a few months and the prices went up. We tried the calzones. terrible! ordered CHILD SIZE spaghetti for our 2 year old * I'm sorry but that's unacceptable, we should have been warned.)... I looked at it when the waitress brought it and I was like "THAT'S the child size! What's the adult portion!! My husband said he couldn't even eat it it was such a large portion. She wouldn't eat it and I don't blame her. No doubt sauce from out of the jar. The only edible thing in the place are the canollis and the garlic knots. It may be a good place for drinks with friends but I wont eat there again. BLECH

  • Andy S.

This is not NY pizza. I thought itwas. It takes for-ever to get a slice. I don't know what they're doing back there, making a whole pizza? Its awkward while you wait for a slice. This is a sit-down place. They don't even have a trash can outside.

    (1)
  • JJ B.

It probably got 2 stars because I felt bad giving them 1. I ordered pizza and garlic knots for delivery, based on recommendations from friends. They told me it would be 45 minutes, since their delivery driver wouldn't come on shift for another 20 mins. An HOUR and 5 minutes later, I called back, asking what was up. I was told the driver had just left with my pizza. 25 minutes later....he arrived. Now math has never been my strong point, but even I can figure out that it doesn't take 25 mins to drive the 2 miles I live from NY Pizza Pub. The driver was very nice and apologetic when he arrived, but I think an hour and a 1/2 to deliver a pizza when you've told your customer it would be 45 mins is a bit ridiculous. I mean, it's Saturday night, I have things to do folks! (I don't, it's sad). And the worst part, is the pizza and garlic knots were COLD. I had to throw everything in the oven to warm it up. Which of course is not the same. So everything just tasted "Meh". SUPER disappointed, because I only allow myself to order pizza once every 6 weeks or so, and my one splurge was totally ruined. I haven't been in the restaurant, so maybe that's better, but I really don't see myself going back there anytime soon after that crap service experience and with so many other good options nearby.

    (2)
  • Monty B.

All the pastas/entrees kind of tasted the same. The marinara sauce had a slightly odd taste to it. The mozzarella congealed into a thick blob once it got to room temp, which tells me not great quality. The calzone was probably the best of everything we tried but it was comparable to ones you can get from chain pizza joints.

  • Jessica T.

I LOVE the wings, and the pizza is pretty damn good. The last time I went, we ordered the garlic knots, and they were doughy and not cooked all the way, but would have been perfect if they were. The salad is a GREAT buy for the size of a side salad, and are really tasty. The only thing I would recommend is at least one kind of cider beer available, and yes, a drink menu would be extremely helpful.

I've ordered a few times, mainly to pick pizzas up. I've had the thin crust, and the thick crust, I like both, my wife prefers the thin crust. For those that blather on and on about how 'this isn't ny pizza', i'll counter : I guess it depended on where you ate pizza in NY. My wife lived in NYC for a number of years, and yep, you would routinely get both super thin crust, or, the thicker crust. GET OVER IT thin crust 'purists' who didn't get out of their own neighborhood enuf I guess, and now live in Denver. snort. ;) I like this pizza place ... I live in the neighborhood, I don't have to go far to get good pizza or have it delivered ... the service is a bit slow sometimes, eh, I don't mind as long as the food is good ... I sorta like the chilled out vibe in this place, and it is a great use of a inner neighborhood brownstone storefront in the city core that specifically needed a freak'n pizza joint to take charge. booya! :)

We loved the NY Pub Hot & Spicy. Not too crowded on a Thursday night so that was nice in our neighborhood!

  • Tracie B.

I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is inviting, the service was friendly and efficient, the food was very good, and reasonably priced. If you like standard New York style pizza you'll like Ny Pizza Pub.

  • Mike M.

First off, anyone really expecting to get a true NYC/Brooklyn/New Haven style Pizza needs to move back east. There are several places in the Highlands and through out Denver that emulate that style of pizza and quite frankly many of them do it well. That doesn't make it the exact same as the world class pizza from the area previously mentioned. Gauge your expectations accordingly and you won't be that bummed. Those that think the neighborhood spots around are on par with Dominos are clueless. There is a clear difference. I have also read that NY Pizza Pub was a conveyer belt pizza and i had a to call myself. they explained that they do have a belt they use for calzones, but all pizza's are cooked on a stone. If there is any complaint with any of these neighborhood spots it is that they RUSH the pizza's and do not cook long enough. If the crust is not crusty then its not cooked! Marco's downtown does it right in that regard. NY Pizza Pub is not that far off. Service has been a bit shaky (as expected with a new place), but their food has been pretty good and expect to only get better as they iron out the wrinkles. this is a pizza joint, who cares if you dont have a detailed beer list. Only in Colorado do people expect a beer list like that of a wine list. I like beer snobs though. On that note, Hops and Pie also has it dialed.

Great pizza and food but don't come here unless you like Chuck e Cheese atmosphere. Kids screaming and running the aisles is the norm.

Finally, a new pizza joint where we left saying, "we'll be back", which wasn't the case with some others we've visited recently. (You can read my reviews of the other new pizza joints in my area). Went early evening and the place was getting packed. Luckily our timing was good and no wait for a table. But by the time we left, the bar area was packed with people waiting for a table. The menu had a nice selection of salads, pizza, calzones, pasta, and more. I was impressed by the selection. We ordered the side house salad (which was fairly large and priced great at $4), garlic knots (10 large knots for $4), side of meatballs, and a 12" pizza. Oh, plus a beer .... it all came in at $28. Price = Excellent. On to the food. As I said previously, the side salad was large enough to share with the BF and was your basic house salad with cucumber, carrot and tomato salad. Very surprised at how large it was for only $4. The garlic knots arrived shortly after. OMG.... large, doughy, soft, delicious garlic knots with real parm cheese all over them. I am a sucker for anything doughy and these did not disappoint. YUM! My bf said "the garlic knots were sorta like garlic donuts... delicious"! The pizza arrived shortly thereafter, and just as it is described, it is NY pizza. Nice thin soft crust (dough was not overworked) and good flavor. We ordered so much food, that once the side of meatballs arrived, we were too full to try them, so we boxed them up with the leftover pizza and garlic knots for tomorrow's lunch. This place reminded me a bit of Anthony's Pizza (except much better). We will be back!

We started with the popper appetizer. They were delicious. They were halved jalapenos with sausage and habenero stuffed inside. I had a dinner salad with Greek dressing. The salad was huge with lettuce, red cabbage and shredded carrots. The Greek dressing was olive oil with spices. It was a good salad but it was so large that I got tired of chewing. It was served with a garlic knot that tasted like they heated it in the microwave. It was spongy and hard. We had the combination meat and vegetable pizza. The sauce was good but we were less than thrilled with the pizza overall. We might try it again but with so many good pizza places in the area, I don't know. The staff was very nice, whenever they passed our table they said hello.

dank ass food. I thought anthonys was good until i ate some real ny food. not just the pizza, but all the dishes some good ol italian newyork bombness.

I was pleasantly surpised by this place. The crust could use a little work, but it's good pizza. Quality cheese and toppings with well spiced sauce. They put the toppings on top of the cheese, not buried underneath, which makes for a better pizza, in my opinion. They're reasonably priced, too. I just ordered to go, so I can't speak to the experience dining-in, but the place looked nice and the bar area where I picked up was lively. They'll be getting another visit.

Been there twice. Definitely new opening shakes - overly congenial and no real wine list. Product is good, pizza has ample toppings, sauce is consistent but uneventful. Forget about ordering the " sampler" - shells taste exactly like the ravioli which tastes exactly like the lasagna. Caprese salad is quite nice. Pizza and Calzone are satisfying but in the end it's just the "new local pizza place".

Old Luigi would be glad to see an Italian joint on this corner again. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. The food is OK (the pizza reminds me a little too much of all the frozen party pizza I ate in college). Since it is close, we will try it again. I expect the wrinkles of starting up a new business to be smoothed out soon.

Went here for lunch with some friends and it was a good Sunday pizza place. Very well priced and a good selection on the menu. It was nothing fancy but it was a good quick cheap option. The pizza was average but not bad. Service was great and the atmosphere was good.

We love this place! I don't care what the haters say about this not being real authentic NY pizza. I think it's pretty darn close and definitely DELICIOUS regardless!! We got basil and garlic on our pizza last time and it was just really really good. Obviously the garlic knots are awesome! The cannoli was actually a really pleasant surprise! The happy hour is not bad. Great TV placements for the game. AND the service is excellent to boot! Definitely recommend this place! So glad it's in the neighborhood!

I get to Denver from time to time for work and to visit my son. This was my first time at NY Pizza Pub and it will definitely not be the last. First off the place is beautiful with the exposed brick and the wood floors. Nice little bar. Outside seating is always a plus. I appreciate a good locally owned place for pie. We tend to have more chains where I live in Phoenix. Fresh ingredients. Great service. I nice selection of beers. A unique and delicious bruschetta.

Very Good Pizza, Calzones, and Lasagna. We have been here 4-5 times and every time are very pleased by the service, food and beer. They have great craft beers on tap! The white pie is one of the best we have found in Denver! Highly recommend this place

I wanted to like this place. The pizza is pretty good. Close to true NY style although crust not crispy enough. The negative issue we had was the 45 minutes we waited for lunch. 2 slices and 1 Sandwich should not take 45 minutes. They had 2 people working 1 guy doing everything and another guy who was completely clueless. I am thinking a new career path might be in order for that guy. We watched two separate people come in order and eat before we finally asked what the deal was. The clueless guy forgot drinks for 1 of those people also. It's not like it was busy, maybe 4 tables total. I hope they get the service together as they are not offering a unique product.

Oh we were so hoping we would love this place! We ordered a couple beers, some mozzarella sticks, a slice to share and a side of plain pasta for our son. Here we go....mozzarella sticks were still frozen inside and so were the one the table next to us ordered, we heard them send them back to be cooked longer. Our one slice of pizza took FOREVER....the table next to us got their large pizza well before our one slice finally came. The side of PLAIN pasta we ordered for my 1 year old came out covered with sauce. They replaced it, but still charged us for a entree sized pasta instead of a side. The owner did come over and asked us if we enjoyed everything and if there was anything that needed to be changed. He asked us so loudly that we didn't want the tables around us to listen to our response so we told him everything was fine.....regret not being able to give him some constructive criticism. Maybe comment cards would be helpful for feedback? I worked at pizza places all through high school and college so I know what I am looking at when it comes to pizza items and the mozzarella sticks are not house-made, they are pre-packaged frozen...the exact same ones I used to have to make at one of the joints I worked at. Baked not fried, which is good for people looking for something a bit healthier, but difficult when it comes to making sure they are heated thoroughly. Sigh. I will say that the slice we got was tasty, but for the price I would expect better product and nicer presentation i.e. no plastic baskets and disposable ramekins for $6.50 frozen mozzarella sticks. Hope things get better over there...we live so close and LOVE pizza. I would really like this to be a new hangout spot for us.

A bunch of friends and I recently visited NY Pizza Pub. The restaurant is definitely kid-friendly, which is a plus for me since I have a toddler. The draft lift was interesting and the happy hour specials good. My biggest complaint is that the thick-crust pizza we order was burnt. The thin-crust pizza was delicious.

We've been twice (not including free night during the soft opening). We'll be back for more. Flavorful pizza, nice caprese salad, small wine selection (a few more would be good). They want to be a Bonnie Brae Tavern sort of place...neighborhood joint. They appear to be on their way. I like the diversity of the menu, which will keep it from getting stale fast. It's easy to find parking, which is nice. Very friendly service. Small but good patio. Give it a try!

+ Atmosphere: both temperature and design. The temp inside was warm and cozy on this cold afternoon. The wood and exposed brick is soothing. + Wi-Fi. Free. + Service. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. + Music (background). Just right. New and interes

Just went here for the first time and had a couple of slices and they were delicious! Sat at the bar, my sister and I each had a beer. I think they have a nice selection of good beer (not domestic crap). The service was friendly and prompt. I even brought a couple of slices home to my husband, who is from NY. He loved it! I will be back!

I'm a fan. NY Pizza pub is a great neighborhood restaurant. We eat there periodically, and I would say the pizza is pretty good. The crust is thin style, and the sauce is well balanced. The staff is always friendly and the service is prompt.

Cheap too.

Go Go Go!

My slice of cheese pizza should never have left the kitchen. The crust was burnt and when I turned the slice over it looked like cardboard. Our server was nice and brought me another slice which wasn't much better. The dining room was completely empty-now I know why.

Not really 'NY' style pizza (super large thin pizza). It's really just average pizza... Nothing really stands out. I'm guessing this place won't last another year. We'll see.

Great pizza and service. Try the garlic knots and wings.

The garlic knots are to die for! We have ordered delivery from them twice. Both times they were super friendly and fast on the delivery.

I'm a fan. NY Pizza pub is a great neighborhood restaurant. We eat there periodically, and I would say the pizza is pretty good. The crust is thin style, and the sauce is well balanced. The staff is always friendly and the service is prompt.

$30.00 for a large thick crust delivered pizza that lacked in taste, flavor, not enough cheese or sauce...besides the fact the crust was burnt. Won't be ordering from here again. Back to Parisi, Ernie's, and various other pizza establishments for half the price and three times the taste...

I really want to like this place. I've tried it twice. No New Yorker would claim that crust back East. Service is lethargic even with an empty dining room. Dunno, maybe they just don't like me. They seem to like me at Hops n Pie and Pizza Public, I'll stick to those.

BLECH

This is not NY pizza. I thought itwas. It takes for-ever to get a slice. I don't know what they're doing back there, making a whole pizza? Its awkward while you wait for a slice. This is a sit-down place. They don't even have a trash can outside.

I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is inviting, the service was friendly and efficient, the food was very good, and reasonably priced. If you like standard New York style pizza you'll like Ny Pizza Pub.

Very Good Pizza, Calzones, and Lasagna. We have been here 4-5 times and every time are very pleased by the service, food and beer. They have great craft beers on tap! The white pie is one of the best we have found in Denver! Highly recommend this place

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
