Called twice and rudely put on hold for 5 minutes each time. That's not the way to treat your customers.

Ive been going here since I was a kid. My mother is obsessed with their schezuan chicken and the pork fried rice. I have eaten here for many years, both delivery, sit down, when they had the buffet, and every experience is great. The staff is kind and attentive. The food never ceases to impress me. I now live downtown with tons of chinese Restaurants that are much closer but this place is always worth the extra drive. Consistently amazing for 15 years and going.

This place is really good. I don't know if it's the best in Lakewood, but it's easily top 3. Looks shady as heck next to a sketch liquor store, but don't be scared. Go on in and get you some of the best wonton soup ever with your meal.

Their food is fresh and very authentic, even delivery was a great option. Could be a little but less pricey.

I only order take out, I call ahead and it is hot and fresh. The sesame chicken is great, so are the egg rolls and wontons.

Good food for price. In a hotel and had delivery. Some of best Hot and Sour soup I have ever had and the cream cheese wonton was tasty.

Their food is delicious! We usually get delivery or pick up but dined there tonight. The service was pretty awful, and will definitely be sticking to delivery or carry out for now on.

I basically don't give anything five stars. Silly that yelp doesn't allow half stars since the aggregate can yield that type of ranking regardless. I have come to rely upon yelp more and more to find places. I love food, love to eat and I will eat anywhere that has good food whether is a super high end fancy place or a total dump. I am moving to this area from Stapleton. I have been in Colorado about 2.5 years and am from Michigan. I lived in Boston for years as well. In general, I find it real hard to find good food here, particularly asian. I went to New Peking alone. I am a huge soup fan. Their won ton is as good as I have had here in Colorado - it was pretty darn good. Also had mongolian beef which was also good, not great. I will definitely go back for the soup alone and will try other stuff on the menu. The exterior of the restaurant is pretty shabby but inside is a nice looking family run joint.

A great place for a Chinese meal. They have a unique dish that I haven't seen at another Chinese restaurants, Tomatoe beef/chicken. It was interesting it felt like a combination Italian Chinese dish. This place is similar to other Chinese restaurants I've been to but that isn't a bad thing. It's always great to have one nearby!

Pretty good and pretty inexpensive. Good for lunch. They might need some more staffing (like one more person) in the dining room during lunch, though. There was one person doing *everything* at the front of the house.

Best Chinese around town.. Delivery takes a while and they don't use grub hub only reason not 5 star.

Extremely friendly, great service from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean and had a great ambience. The food was awesome! We had the egg drop and wonton soups as well as the Mongolian beef. Definitely satisfied our appetite. Finally found our goto Asian place!

The most amazing wonton soup in town, hands down. The make the wontons by hand, with love!!! Mooshoo is ridiculous too... Def worth a visit.

Awesome Chinese restaurant! Our family is visiting from town and stayed at the hotels nearby. With young kids, it's much easier to have food delivered to the hotel than eat at a restaurant. I ordered pretty much what my daughters love to eat, lo mien chicken and chicken fried rice. Delivery took about fifteen minutes and the food arrived hot and fresh. It was good and definitely not greasy, which is a super plus for us! I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for great food with fast delivery.

Best Hot and Sour Soup! I measure a good Chinese restaurant by this soup. My only complaint is that one of the reasons we enjoy Chinese food is that it can be delivered. This place takes on average of 1 1/2 to hour and 45 to deliver and it is 3 blocks from our home. So beware, you need to know you want Chinese 2 hours before knowing you want it or go pick it up yourself.

I have to say even though most of times Yelp reviews are right on with the quality of food, but it was quite off with this restaurant. Although the service was pretty timely and courteous, the food was mediocre at best. The batter on the sweet and sour pork tasted like the frying oil has been used for too long and went stale. The soup and fried rice were rather bland. The vegetables in stir fry was mostly mushy, and the spring rolls were soggy inside. The price was not competitive comparing to other Chinese take-out places in the area. One visit is probably all this place will get from us.

The staff is very friendly and the service is prompt. The prices are also great, you get a main dish and fries rice for about 10 bucks. The problem is the food is not very good. It is about the same quality as Panda Express.

Best Chinese food in Denver. Order the War Wonton Soup and BBQ Pork app with hot tea. Perfection.

This is the best place to get Chinese food in lakewood! It's always so fresh and it tastes so delicious! Been a loyal customer for over 18 years and I will probably eat new Peking until the day i die!!!

The best Chinese food in town! The service is always great as it's family owned and operated, and the food is fresh every day.

2012 Review #210: My husband came here with his mom and brought me along on another visit. I actually really didn't want Chinese (it was lunchtime and 100 degrees outside) but I went with the group. I went with vegetables in garlic sauce, which was marked spicy. Lunch specials come with soup, an egg roll, a wonton, and rice. I got egg drop, and that was not quite there for me. It was very chicken-y, it was almost as strong as chicken soup, but it was still tasty. The rest of the food came after not too long, but a bit longer than I normal expect at a Chinese place during lunch. Hands down the best thing about this place is that the food marked "spicy" is- wait for it- actually spicy! Like, thai food spicy. Both my husband's chicken and my vegetables were genuinely flavorful and full of heat. The fried rice actually had flavor, and the egg roll was great. Not vegetarian, fyi, but very good. My wonton seemed to have some filling seep out because it was a bit black on the outside. It was probably not worth eating- it seemed a bit over-fried and there wasn't much filling. Not sure if it was supposed to have crab/krab, but there didn't seem to be any. Regardless, I'd definitely come back here. The owner/only waitress is older and funny in a persnickety way. For a cheap lunch this is a great option in a suburban area.

My husband and I have eaten here a number of times. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is good too. We took my sister there last night for her birthday dinner. The food and service were good as usual, but the restaurant was freezing. Everyone eating there had their coats on, including us. In fact, a lady eating near us even had the hood of her coat up over her head. We asked the waitress if they could turn up the heat, and she mumbled something about 77 degrees. It was a very uncomfortable dinner. We will go somewhere else next time, especially in the winter.

I was surprised! Very good. Exactly what I expected. One thing though, no one wants to see dirty dishes piling up in the kitchen while waiting for an order or table....

Best Chinese food in Lakewood. The owner/main server is quite a character - we have drinks made for us (not on any menu) with a smile and sometimes a discount. The food is consistently great, and the portions are always more than adequate for the biggest appetite. The General Sao chicken and moo shoo are awesome.

I remember New Peking being better than it was tonight. The delivery driver is what gave the restaurant an extra star this time around, otherwise it would have been two. I wanted honey walnut shrimp, but they were out of walnuts. That would have been okay with me, since I don't eat them anyway. I ordered the sesame chicken instead with the "full dinner" that they offer for $2.25 extra, which includes an egg roll, crab cheese wonton, and soup. The wonton was a little overcooked, but pretty good. The egg roll and soup were pretty good, too. The sesame chicken... eh. The sauce was good, but no matter how much you included with your bite, it couldn't cover the dryness of the chicken. Meh. I know how good this place can be, so I will definitely eat here again. Hopefully it will be better next time.

Decent lunch spot by Green Mountain. The lunch is a steal- $6 plus tax gets you an entree, an egg roll, crab wonton, and choice of soup. (Dine-in only for soup otherwise takeout is extra charge). You can't really go wrong when you want some good American Chinese food. Beats out Panda express down the street.

Never had anything bad from here. Their Mongolian beef is one fo my favorites. Deliver has been prompt.

Not worth it. Took over 25 min to get the order ready. People who walked in after me were finishing their meal while I was still waiting. Paid for 2 dinners & got 2 lunch-size meals with ONE rice to share. No spoons, forks, or napkins, because who need those with an order to go...

I love this place! The lady there is so cute and such a mother hen (she told my husband to not waste his vegetables..lol). The food is great. I always get the General Tso's chicken, and the Mooshu Shrimp. The hubby loved his wonton soup and I would definitely have the egg drop soup again. They're very generous on the amount of alcohol if you order drinks.

I checked this place out because it is really close to my house. I got take out the first couple times and delivery the third. The combo dinner came with soup, spring roll, and rice. I've had the schezchun tofu with vegetable, chicken lo mein, and the kung pao shrimp. The portions are definitely big enough for sharing, or leftovers. They use good white meat chicken. I preferred the kung pao of what I've ordered so far. The kung pao came with so many fresh veggies in it and lots of meat. I love it! The hot and Sour soup is great. New Peking has consistent quality so far and they will most likely remain my go to chinese when at home. The delivery was about 10 mintues faster than estimated and the food was piping hot.

This is THE place for great fresh chinese food near Lakewood! Everything is good, you can eat in or order out. Even when the dining room is quiet, the kitchen is hopping...every local know this is the place for take-out!! YUM

I live close to this place and we eat there all the time. The food is great, service is fast and the people are nice. It's not expensive. My favorites are the Ginger Beef and Cashew Chicken... excellent! Also, the Yelp info isn't quite right... they do accept credit cards, they deliver, they take take out orders and I've seen plenty of families with kids dining there.

I used to enjoy New Peking, however the quality of the food has suffered a lot. After three sequential visits which either left me disappointed or sick, I will no longer be patronizing this business.

I went and picked up a to-go order last night. I was nervous to eat chinese again since I got food poisoning from a different chinese restaurant 3 years ago. I took baby steps and just ordered some egg rolls and an order of the large plain fried rice. The egg rolls were okay, nothing special. The rice was very good. Prices were reasonable. The inside of the restaurant looked clean and worth dining in next time. Overall great and I will be back.

Best lunch buffet ever. They make small batches so it is always fresh, and they will immediately cook more food for you when they are running low. Dumplings, crab wontons, and hot and sour soup are great. Way too easy to overeat here.

Great Hot and Sour soup and my favorite place in Lakewood to get Sesame Chicken. They are fast (that 10 minute) when you order over the phone for pickup. Several of my neighbors in Green Mountain Village Neighborhood recommended this place. You will like!

Hands down, BEST Chinese (ahem.. Taiwanese) food in the Denver metro area. Great food (note, WHITE MEAT chicken), great prices ($6.50 special), lunch buffet is above average, but go for the menu options if you have the time. The waitress on weekday lunches is one of the most efficient people I've ever met. She has our drinks ready as soon as we walk in the door.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
