I have not had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant but I have ordered it for lunch and every time it has been delicious. Their calzones are amazing and today I tried the best Tomato soup I have had... I will definitely make it to the restaurant so I can try other things in the menu and give a more comprehensive review.

My first Mici experience was amazing, the second a disaster. I ordered a great house salad the first time. My second experience I ordered a pizza online for pickup when I arrived they had sent it for delivery. They made me a new one in store but it took 20 minutes, they offered no discount or comps, and then the driver called 3 times about delivery. When I finally got the pizza it was pretty good, but not worth the difficulty. As for the in store atmosphere, lots of families and children running around.

I would give Mici 3.5 stars. The pizza was just OK, but the panini sandwiches are pretty good. We sat toward the front, in plain sight of the order counter, and spent the whole of our time getting the hard stare from the employees. Not sure what that was about, but it doesn't make my meal anymore appealing.

    Best gelato in Denver!

Great fast casual Italian and super family friendly. Their pizza is delish and I loved their pesto pasta dish last time I was there. My daughters love it too because there is a window where they can watch the guys make the pizza. The owners are also super nice and very customer focused.

Terrible! The proscuto was fatty and gross and the pasta was underdone and tasteless. The wheat calzone was bland even with sausage! This place is terrible all the way around! I wouldn't eat here for free. Disgusting. With regard to the response below from Mici, there is a big difference between al dente and underdone. It was underdone.

I still like Mici. It's good. It's just not quite as good as the other pizza places that are around. And FYI, the house Italian dressing has anchovy in it, which was way too much for me last time.

Love this family owned shop. Ingredients are fresh and their house wine is good. Love the pizzas - and they have the BEST bruschetta in town.

Good, solid pizza. We got it delivered and it might taste even better in the restaurant. It arrived lukewarm to less then warm. Once I warmed it up it wasn't as tasty as it could have been. Agree with several that like the calzone with ricotta and nutella- it's good. It's not the best pizza I've had but it's certainly better than most. We'll probably try it in house next time to see if the temp issues are just delivery related.

I dropped in on a whim because I was starving and Mici looked like a quick service restaurant. The inside is fun and modern with a nice view of Cherry Creek North. I had the Verdura panini which was so good, I ate it while driving home rather than waiting until I arrived (is this a traffic violation - to eat and drive??) Had I had more time, I would have lingered and tried the wines, pizza, and pasta, all of which looked good. But, my "take out" order arrived in about 6 minutes and convinced me that I should go back.

Tastiest zucchini pizza I've ever had. I don't know if it's the tasty crispy thin crust or the flavorful cheese but I just love it. I ordered the small for myself and had no problem devouring the whole thing. I also took some gelato to go and it's definitely the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I am a loyal customer.

In the Marco Polo Airport in Venice, there are these little quick stop restaurants that serve great Italian food but in a quick and modern sense. Mici reminds me of those places. Very contemporary design that once again wouldn't stick out in Italia and good food that isn't the least bit pretentious. My wife and I shared the Pizza and Wine deal that's goes for 25 bucks. The pizza was good and the wine was decent. For 25 dollars I'm not complaining at all. The service was really good. They were very attentive, coming by to see if we needed anything at regular intervals. I was a bit surprised by this because it's not really a full service kind of place; I was pleasantly surprised.

food was ok, have had better service and food at other italian fast food type places. Had to clean off our own table.

  • Kris S.

Both the restaurant and the bathroom were dirty. The pizza was on the same level as a cheap delivery chain. The crust was good. A large pizza and two drinks was $25, you're paying for the location not the food or the environment.

Italian in Cherry Creek done the friendly way. I always forget about this place primarily due to it's elevate street location (why someone ever decided to develop buildings like that is another topic) but when I go there i know I'll get great food from super nice people and that makes me happy. They live up to the name Family and Handcrafted, frankly if you are in the mood for pasta, this is your Cherry Creek choice. I feel like they want me here and they enjoy having you vs some of their neighbors. If they were street level i know i could sit all day on their patio chilling Italian style Grazzi!

I ordered some stuff to-go. The place was nice and clean. I had a calzone that took me two meals to finish. It was pretty good - especially the marinara sauce on the side. I would definitely come back.

Havent eaten here anything else but their breakfast Lazio with Ciabatta bread which is delicious. Prices are reasonable as well. Friendly staff.

Heard good things about this place. I thought it was just ok. Meatball sandwich just ok. The Margaita pizza was good and the vegie sandwich was just ok. They brought me the wrong sandwich but realized it wasn't vegetarian and took it away and brought me what I ordered. No big deal things happen like that. I probably won't go back.. Too bad because the price was right especially for the area.

We visited on a quiet Sunday evening and loved this place! First of all it couldn't be in a more ideal location of Cherry Creek, wow. The location was clean, cute, and staffed with the friendliest employees that was so helpful and accommodating, especially considering we had a fussy 2-year old with us. (drove 14 hours from Phoenix, go figure) Kids' bowtie pasta with marinara and adult version penne with meat sauce. So delish! You could taste the freshness in the ingredients, and wonderful bread also. Exceptional experience, especially for less than $20. When are you getting a location in southeast valley of Phoenix?

Great food for a great price. Not a big fan of the pizza (they are not bad, but not spectacular either), but the pastas are excellent. Only ate here for lunch a couple of times so not sure about dinner hours. Be sure to add a meatball to your pasta they are quite good!

Great BREAKFAST menu now. I just had a fabulous Fritata, with egg whites, Prociutto di Parma, mozzarella, fresh spinach, and sun dried tomatoes, on toasted ciabatta. For around $4.00. And, a perfectly made16 oz latte (with 3 shots of espresso). The service was fantastic and friendly, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with photos of the family grandparents in Italy. It's family owned and operated. We also had a great chocolate muffin. And, they serve great, authentic gelato. Have breakfast there soon. It's new for them. It's served until 11 am M-F. I've had pizza there many times, and love it. I always order it crispy, and have never been disappointed. I live in Italy 2 months each year, and Mici's does an excellent job.I eat in, the temp is always right, and, the ingredients are all fresh.

I can't speak for the wine, but I can speak for the pizza, salad, and gelato! All of which I give a big thumbs up! This place reminds me of my old go-to Italian place, Sauce. You order at the counter when you walk in and then your meal is brought to a table of your choice. Strategically, the gelato is behind a glass case when you are ordering-impossible to pass up! My mom and I ordered the Insalata Mista and the Mediterraneo to split! The salad was HUGE. It came out in a bowl the size of a sink! So I would definitely recommend splitting that. (The bread that came with the salad was delicious). We ordered the personal pizza size so we each had two slices-just enough! To my dismay, there was no sauce on this pizza; I should have read the menu a little more carefully. But, the cheese was authentic mozzarella and crust was perfectly crusty! We almost forgot about getting gelato. We were halfway out the door when remembered!! After two taste tests, I ordered a cup of half coffee, half tiramisu. Mom got half chocolate, half coffee. All were tasty! For inexpensive Italian, Mici is a great place to go!

I've been to Mici two or three times and have always enjoyed the food but not really enough to rave about it. Yesterday however I stopped in for lunch with my daughter and I am now ready to rave. We started off, as girls often do, planning on a salad but ended up splitting a large Caesar salad AND a 16" pepperoni pizza with basil - hey, we were really hungry! The salad was brought to our table immediately and was exactly what i wanted. Lots of crisp, cold romaine hearts tossed with a light but tasty dressing with lots of Parmesan cheese and croutons. For seven bucks it was a fair value as it was a meal in itself. My only minor nit is that the croutons were not homemade. It was however served with a two major slices of toasted garlic bread. Delicious. The pizza was then served just as we finished grazing our salad. Hot out of the pizza oven, this pie was a beautiful sight. Lots, but not too much pepperoni, a thin layer of melted cheese over tangy, slightly sweet tomato sauce topped with basil. The crust was brown and glistening but not burnt, thin-ish and crisp but not dry. Really, it was just about perfect. I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere and wouldn't go for dinner however for lunch it's just fine. Service - fast and friendly.

I went here not knowing what I was in for. The format was kinda weird to me at first, ordering at the counter and then having a person wait on you, but to each their own. The food was pretty tasty. I got a calzone with pepperoni and banana peppers. The crust was a wee bit dry, but the toppings (insidings?) were in copious amounts. The service here is unique, but when the waitress was checking in with us she was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The patio is really cool for people watching too, what with being elevated and right on the street. I plan on going here again sometime when I'm down in cherry creek. It's a nice "not chain but kinda predictable and tasty' option at a pretty good price point.

Had the Giardino pizza and it was AWESOME. A nice, soft spice, not too greasy. Just as good the next day. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some pizza delivery.

Meh. To be honest, I'm kind of surprised by some of the high reviews of Mici. Pizza, salad, wine--all just okay. Nothing was great and since my initial visit I have never had a desire to go back. Sure it's inexpensive, but so are some other pizza places that are much tastier.

The pizza was super delicious. We got the pizza and wine deal, which for a restaurant is really a great price. This was possibly the best pizza i've had in denver. And the staff was super friendly.

Good spot for Cherry Creek businesspeople in search of something to please everyone in a lunch group. Salads are huge and yummy (but no baby spinach, sadly) while sandwiches include tasty Italian deli meats on wonderful, crusty bread. The pizza is tasty, too. I wasn't impressed with the pasta, which was overcooked with too much sauce and not enough pancetta, but it's an option for those craving a carb fix. Mici's Nutella gelato is as addictive as it sounds. Unfortunately, Mici also falls prey to a couple common pitfalls that irk me when lunching in Cherry Creek. The generous portions seem to justify prices that are a little on the high side for what's offered, particularly on the pasta menu. There is a lunch special for $7.25 that mitigates this flaw somewhat, but variety is limited--if you want to taste the best of Mici, you'll want to go for one of the sandwiches that's not available as a lunch special. Service is also uniformly rather slow for a fast casual restaurant. Even with very few customers present, it seems to take several minutes to put together a salad or ladle out some soup. No big deal if you're there to sit and chat, but annoying for takeout customers hurrying back to the office. A solid three out of five for me, and definitely worth a visit for the bread and gelato alone.

Mici serves up a great pizza. It is not like your typical American style, but rater a handcrafted, cornmeal dusted crusty crust! Their ingredients are always top quality and fresh. It is by far my favorite pizza place in Denver, even though they serve up may other great dishes. I am not a vegetarian, but the Giardino pizza is exceptional. The staff is always very courteous and the place is very child friendly. Great for a quick Friday night meal. This is a fast casual setting which helps with the expedition of the meal. Their wines are also very good for the limited menu and price.

Mici is a welcome addition to the otherwise stale Cherry Creek scene. There are numerous pizzerias in the area, but these guys have the best crust. Prices are reasonable and the pasta is good, too. Plus, they deliver! It's not Otto Enoteca (the best pizzeria in NYC), but is excellent. I'd say this one is in a rough tie with Marco's for my favorite Denver pizzeria.

  • Howard C.

Excellent food. Pizza should have cornmeal at the bottom of the crust. Real NY Style pizza has cornmeal, Chicago style dough is made with cornmeal, the cornmeal is a very important aspect of thin crust, crunchy pizza. It adds a nice flavor and also keeps the dough from sticking. Anyways, very good pizza, very good calzones, very good sandwiches. I highly recommend. Please, go and enjoy!

I adore this place! Sure it's the cherry creek location, but it is simple and delicious. I love their lasagna tuesdays and I have not had a pizza there that I did not love. And, to top it all off, their waitstaff are both knowledgeable as well as great to look at ;)

Edible but very boring, generic pizza. The atmosphere is way too bright at night. They should really use a dimmer. I felt like I was sitting in a greasy fast food restaurant. Felt rushed at the counter when ordering even though there was nobody behind me. The bottom pf the pizza was covered in cornmeal. This is the first sign of a cheap pizza. Cornmeal, I mean come on! What is this, an amusement park or state fair pizza joint? The "fresh" mozzarella is store bought and was yellow in color. Don't call it fresh unless you make it from scratch. There are several places in Denver that make their own Mozzarella fresh several times a day. This is definitely not one of them. They are basically lying by saying they use the freshest ingredients available. I almost forgot to mention the pretend silverware and plastic plates. Geez! Skip it and go to CPK just across 1st ave if you want average pizza. If you want great pizza leave Cherry Creek all together.

I adore the New Cherry Creek location better than the downtown one. There is just something about this one being "perched" atop 2nd floor overlooking Cherry Creek. If I hadn't looked up this location on the website, it is kind of hard to spot. Anyway, Me and my other can't get enough of the "Tortellini alla Miceli" (Cheese-Filled pasta shells & peas in a creamy alfredo sauce) and sharing a Cesare Salald(which comes in a 2-person sized bowl) Both dishes come with a side of Crunchy garlic Toast. If you are not too hungry, you might appreciate the "Pomodoro e Basilico" (Creamy tomato soup) which looks plain when you first order it, but is actually very warming and yummy

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. Aside from the hot waitress, the pizza was good. My sister had the wedding soup.

  • Chip L.

Super easy, walk up counter type of place (like Noodles & Co., Chipotle, etc). Great pizza and pasta. Some problems though; our soups were both less than stellar. The tomato tasted like Campbell's out of the can and the Italian Wedding Soup was truly awful. It was possibly the worst soup I've had in a restaurant (and my partner is Italian and knows about this soup). It tasted like broth with no flavor and didn't even come close to resembling Italian Wedding Soup. A bigger issue for me was when we told the guy in charge, in a polite way, that the soup was nasty, his response was...nothing. He said nothing and did nothing and just shrugged and walked away. So when you go to Mici understand that if you don't like something it means...nothing. Strange to find such disregard in today's competitive restaurant world.

Pasta was very bland and not flavorful. It was overpriced for the quality of food we received. We ordered the Cortonese and Tortellini alla Miceli. Neither was satisfying. Needless to say, we haven't gone back.

I love MICI and very few places deserve 5 stars in my book (there's always something to improve on). MICI has continued to step up to the plate. They have great gluten-free pizza and the staff and owners show a great deal of pride in their establishment. It's when staff/owner, guests, and food come together so ardently, so perfectly, we begin to see a lasting, thriving business. I'm proud of MICI and consider it a real treat everytime I go to dine in or order out.

  • Dave B.

Very quiet dining on a Saturday afternoon. We each had a sandwich and split a bottle of wine. Cafeteria style: ordering, utensils and fill/refill your soda. But, my school cafeteria never had wine. For $19, we had a bottle of generic Bianco Toscana. Crisp and fruity. OK. Our sandwiches were very good. I had the Palermo Panino (meat, cheese, roasted peppers) while Tracie had the Polpetta Parmigiana (meatball sub).

Mici is a welcome change to most Italian places, which are pushing it with the prices they are charging for pretty basic fare. They have a really nice menu of pizzas, pastas and sandwiches, and pretty much everything is under $10. I've had a couple of the pizzas here, with my favorite being the Mediterraneo, and some sandwiches, which are also pretty good, especially the Tacchino. You order at the counter and fill your own fountain drink, then they bring the food to your table, so it's kind of in between so-called "quick service" places and more formal restaurants. Generally you wait about 10-15 minutes for your pizza, and they make everything fresh with pretty good ingredients. They have this location as well as one downtown, which I have not tried yet, though I believe the menu is the same. They offer a few wines as well as some gelato, so you can make a nice meal of it without breaking the bank. Especially for this location in the middle of Cherry Creek, that's very refreshing.

My husband and I ate at Mici's tonight and it was ok. I had the bow tie pasta with pesto and chicken. It was good but nothing special. My husband had the tortellini and same thing, just ok. It was not worth the $27. I would try their pizza next time. It reminded me a lot of Noodles and wish I had just gone to noodles. The staff was friendly, but still not worth the $$$.

  • Maya S.

This place is awesome. The first time I went there, I got a sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The second time I went there, we got the $25 extra large pizza/bottle of wine deal -- super deal! And their pizza is really great. The food is quick, the environment is chill, and the wine is super affordable and quite good. Can't beat that!

  • Lindsey H.

I have had the Mici pizza & wine special (1 XL pizza & 1 bottle of house wine for $25) two times. Both times I have had the capraola pizza which is very good (albeit a little salty - but it's pizza, so...). All the waiters have been extremely friendly and I will definitely go back! The outdoor patio is really nice too.

  • Frankie V.

We ordered take out. Three Pizzas, salad and a plate of meatballs. The meatballs were good. The salads and the pizzas were good. The pizzas were thin but not east coast thin. Thin by Colorado standards. The only negatives were the long wait on hold to place the order and when I gave my name address and phone number to begin the order, I had to give all of that information again when I ended the order. The process of calling in an order took too long.

  • Bradley L.

What's great about this place is that it is fast food Italian. not the best Italian you will find, but its a great fix on all the favorites and the price is good. Order, seat yourself, they clean the table & you don't have to worry about leaving a tip. Two people from $18-23.

I am long overdue in updating and increasing my rating for Mici. The food is consistently good. This is by no means the best Italian in Denver, but if you are looking to get fast and healthy Italian for dinner, this is definitely the place in the CCN neighborhood. They offer healthier options like whole-grain penne. They also have a bottle of wine and pizza for $25 special that seems like a pretty reasonable deal. I never eat at an "Italian" chain restaurant. Yes, I guess I am a snob. For my money though, I would rather keep it in the family (as in family-run restaurant) and eat a decent meal, than give it to Sbarro's or Noodles for mediocre food.

Confession: I was only in Denver for three days and had lunch here twice. The della casa salad is delicious. I also enjoyed the verdura panini. Great lunch specials (pick two - salad, panini or xlarge pizza slice) for 7.95!

After my favorite little restaurant in Cherry Creek North closed (see Chez Jose review), I was looking for a new place to grab a semi casual bite in the area and came upon this place located on the second level where the Le Peep used to be. This place is great because it's sort of a combination between a nice and a casual restaurant. It has excellent gourmet style Italian food with spectacular pasta and sophisticated sauces, as well as really good pizza with quality you might expect in a fine Italian restaurant. At the same time, the restaurant has counter service giving the whole place a casual feel, and generally keeping the cost of the meal down. All in all an excellent spot to grab lunch or dinner.

While we were visiting Denver, Mici was recommended highly by local friends. We were told the food is fresh and delicious and the service efficient and friendly. We went there for a quick lunch and were more than satisfied with both the service and the fantastic food. Our server was not only friendly, but helpful and gave us suggestions for more shopping and sightseeing in Denver. We will definitely return to Mici when we visit Denver next time. Denver, you have a jewel!

If you're looking for flavorful pizza and wanting something different than the same old "Wannabe New York Style" pizza, then this is the place! We really enjoy the Caprarola pizza! We've tried several of the pasta dishes as well and haven't been disappointed yet! Must try!

Had the meatball panini...amazing! Homemade meatballs on great bread. Priced reasonably well too.

  • Maria S.

meh. I have ben there a couple times and found it to be pretty okay. Tonight I had Penne Roma with a meatball and a water. It was about $11. $2 for the one meatball felt a bit much, but the food was good and the serving was a good size. I guess it just isn't that memorable to me. I can see it being a good lunch spot. The service was nice but the layout and atmosphere feel uncomfortable. If you sit in the back, it is cold feeling. Overall, a decent spot for a quick pasta fix.

Mici's is a solid four in my book. It offers cheaper Italian food, think upscale noodles and co, with pizza. I usually get the rosa with tortellini for about $9. I always have some to take home too. The sauce is great. I would highly recommend adding a ceasar salad as well - I think it is one of the best in Denver. I have not had the pizza, but they look and smell amazing. I would recommend for a nice lunch or casual dinner.

  • Doug H.

Mici's new spot in Cherry Creek North is a nice family spot and I already like it better than their downtown location. I think their pizzas are excellent; the pastas can be a little blah and oversauced, but really there's no comparison between here and an Il Vicino or Noodles & Co for Italian. Mici's is fast-casual Italian (i.e. order at the counter and they deliver to your table) , but they also serve beer and wine. Almost all their offerings are under 10 dollars, and it's a unique variety of pizzas and pastas. My one beef with the pastas is their use/overuse of creams in their sauces. A "creamy" pesto sauce is an affront to their Italian roots. I liked the Amatriciana (spicy tomato & pancetta) penne, but there clearly was too much tomato sauce dumped in. They offer multi grain pasta and whole wheat pizza crust, which is a nice option for the health conscious (though probably a cardinal sin for Italian purists). I think I have a favorite new place for a quick dinner in Cherry Creek.

I have gone to Mici 4 times now and every time has been excellent. They are always so friendly when i come in and the prices are great. I ususally get the marg pizza or sometimes just cheese and it's always perfect. The crust is crunchy and thin and I really like the sauce as it is not too garlicy! The salads are HUGE and great, I go for the half salad which is plenty. I always want to try the gelato, but am way too full by the time I have eaten my lunch or dinner. I am so glad they opened up in cherry creek, giving a nice option for pizza finally!

We were delighted to see that Mici had come to Cherry Creek. My husband and I have gone to the downtown location for lunch dates, but the place was always way to crowded to enjoy the meal. The new Cherry Creek location is fabulous, plenty of room and VERY kid friendly. I am a fan of their various pastas, especially because you can get peas added. Their pizza and sandwiches are also delish. They have a decent selection of beer and wine, which is always nice when dining with a two year old. They also do a good job catering to kids. They bring pizza dough for kids to play with and have a good variety of options on the kids menu. If you are looking for a light lunch, order the soup and a kids grilled cheese.

Mici catered a 125-person event for us on short notice and it could not have been more perfect. Salads, pastas and deserts were delicious and presented beautifully. The owners and staff are really care about the quality of their product and their customers. For at home, we love to order the pizza par-baked and finish it on the charcoal grill or oven.

Wow! I know the Mici family could do it again. Downtown rocks and now Cherry Creek. I love these two places because it's owned and operated by family members. They have taken something so great and kept it with great food, location and service. Go away big corporate chains! Come on family owned places. Thank you Mici's for great food every time. Trust me I eat there a lot. Love the marinara/meat with bow tie pasta. The portions are huge and you can have your left over pizza or pasta for lunch the next day. Hurry up and taste the love! I have...

I have really enjoyed our visits to Mici's. My kids have loved the food, the pizza dough to play with a and watching the pizza being made. The pizza is great with fresh vegetables and flavorful sauce. I have also been really impressed with the way that the staff has handled large groups, staying calm and bringing out great food.

Best calzones around! I come from the mid-west and have eaten some good food. I'll place the giardiniera calzone above anything I've had west of Chicago and better than most pizzas cooked at sea level. Enough food for a teenage boy to be satisfied with one order.

I've had ridiculously great experiences at Mici's. The first time I went here was last fall and I just really wanted some ice cream. Their sign boasted gelato so we went in to try it. We were offered taste tests of any flavor we wanted and when I couldn't decide (because they were all sooo good) I was offered to do half and half in a small cup! It was perfect. And when we walked out we were offered a couple of cookies to try for free. They were delicious and I've been meaning to buy some again. Since then I've used them as pizza delivery over any other option in the area. I'm obsessed with the antipasti, I mean you can't go wrong with mozzarella, artichokes, and olives (etc...) in my book. And the pizza is soooo good. I haven't had one that I didn't find amazing. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get. Something to note! The delivery can take a while. It usually takes over an hour to get to my apartment and I live down the block. So order early, cause it's worth it! The lunch deals also look amazing. $8 for 2 items (pizza, soup, salad, or panini. good deal) and the $29 pizza and bottle of wine deal will be perfect when I don't feel lazy and order in.

Another great dining experience at Mici's! Paul took our order and also gave great recommendations. We decided on two small pizzas, the Molto Carne and 1/2 of the Mediterraneo and 1/2 of the Digirolomo. All were delicious, but our favorite one was the Mediterraneo and the Digirolomo. We got the spinach salad and then two gelatos the Nutella and the Tiramisu. The food and service were great!! One of my favorite pizza places in Denver!!

Mici in Cherry Creek North offers one of the best salads I have ever had (Insalata Antipasta), cannot get enough of it. Pricing is reasonable, too! Their customer service is exceptional and they even accept the Cherry Creek North gift card!

The Living Social Deal for $35 gets you a bottle of wine, 2 small pizzas, 2 salads, and 2 gelatos! Such a great deal. We had the Chianti which was easy to drink, the Caesar salad, the veggie salad, the margarita pizza, and the 4 cheese pizza, and 4 different kinds of gelato. Everything was good, but nothing I would seek out in the future. The pizzas were bland, the salad was meh...and the atmosphere was nothing special. The gelato was actually really, really good though.

I purchased a deal for Mici that was so much food for so little that we couldn't pass. My husband and I came down on a Friday night and found we pretty well had the place to ourselves. When we walked in, the staff were very friendly and were quick to point out what we could choose from for the deal. We got two huge garden salads, two 10" pizzas, a bottle of wine of our choice and two little cups of gelato. We were handed a number and went off to grab a table by the window. Our food was quickly brought out in courses and was all delicious. One salad could have easily fed both of us and the pizzas were also quite big. I opted for one with artichokes, pesto, and chicken and it was amazing. The artichokes were diced and so covered the whole pizza. My husband opted for an all-meat choice and was very pleased. He exclaimed about enjoying the meatballs and red sauce. These are thin crust pizzas (with cornmeal to prevent sticking) that were cooked to perfection and I especially liked the viewing windows in to the kitchen to be able to watch your food being cooked. When it was time for the gelato, we were offered samples to pick our favorite. I opted for the oreo caramel and my husband had the peanut butter and honey. Both were super delicious and the perfect ending. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to return even without the coupon/deal. They do offer a bottle of wine and large pizza for $29 at any time, which is also a steal considering the prices of the bottles of wine ($20). 10" pizzas are about $10 and so prices are very reasonable.

Darn good food, affordable prices, and great service. How I have not eaten here before is a big miss. I had a calzone and the rest of our four person party had pizza, oh, and my three year old had the bow tie pasta. Very simple ordering system and there is plenty of room between the tables in which to move around. If you are looking for a romantic Italian dinner by candlelight, I would keep looking. If you are interested in the Italian staples, an area for conversation, and great customer service, give it a try. Over the course of an hour, we were visited five time by different employees in the restaurant - just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I will be back!

I really like Mici and wish there were more places like them. Here's why. First, I consider Mici to be in the fast-food category. Sure, they bring you the food; there's non-disposable silverware and plates; and there's no drive through. But, the price, atmosphere and speed is on par with the quality fast-food places, say Chipotle. Having said the above, the quality of the food was excellent. From the bread (which is true crusty Italian), to the olive oil, to the marinara sauce to the meatball to the primavera pasta - all well made and with very high quality. There was not even a wilted leaf in the salad. The portions were also generous. The staff is your typical fast food worker - some were really attentive, some less so, but I don't have anything negative to say. Overall, good food, portions, prices. Wish there was one closer to where I live.

I had the pizza, which had quite a bit of corn meal on the crust, which just makes it messy to eat. My husband had the chicken Tuscano panini, which he said would have been better on the ciabatta (he chose wheat instead). All in all an okay meal, not bad for lunch.

On this very night my family has resolved never to order from Mici again. Ever. Every single time we have ordered from them they have somehow screwed it up or, in tonight's case, it took one hour and 30 minutes to get our meal. Our 6 year old was so hungry we had to make her a dinner while we were waiting for our food. When my husband called and the person on the phone was utterly unapologetic my husband told him we would not be giving them our business anymore. The person's response was "obviously you have a choice about where you take your business." Wow! Thanks! Now that we know we have options we will be exercising them. Good luck with your transition to sub-par ingredients, low brow workers and utter disorganization. You are so busy expanding you can't lee your shit together with the restaurants you already have.

Must try for lunch. I was running late for a meeting and just needed "something to eat" before my afternoon booked up. Ran in and ordered the tomato mozzarella panini thinking it would be quick and simply satisfy my hunger. I was very pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. It not only conquered my appetite but satisfied my discriminating tastes. *Bonus I heard from a health inspector that they do well and that the owners are very nice people.

I love Mici's and wrote a 5 star for Stapleton location. I ate there with my two kids tonight (Monday) and it was kids eat free with an adult purchase. That did not happen. Partially my fault as I did not notice the sign by the register, but the cashier should have been on it. I told them I should have gotten one free kids as I purchased one adult entree. He said he would have to get the supervisor. She never came and talked to me. Mici's you are better than that!

I have been here several times and every time they burnt the heck out of the pizza crust. I'm not sure why. The downtown location never does this and I would assume they use the same type of oven. The manager previously sent me a gift card for a free meal, however, I've stopped coming here. It is never good; it ranges from ok to unacceptable. I would say skip this and head to the downtown location.

A great family friendly, fast/casual Italian restaurant. Their pizza is some of the best Denver has to offer and the Parmesan en Brodo was one of the best chicken soups I've ever had. The sandwiched are huge and made on freshly made focaccia. Their sauce has a fresh tomato flavor with just the right amount of garlic and spice. You can't beat the deal they have going for a bottle of wine and a large pizza for something like 20 bucks, amazing!

Mici continues to impress, and having the delivery option is a huge plus. What better way to enjoy some great pasta dishes from the comfort of home. Try the Amatriciana with Italian Sausage, it's my go to entree. The bruschetta is also fresh and flavorful. Very nice staff and great food for the price. Visit this gem of a place!

Wow. What stunningly AWFUL service. This was my first time ordering from Micci Handcrafted Italian and likely my last. I made an order through an app called EAT24. About ten minutes later, I get a call from the Stapleton location saying I am outside of their delivery radius and so they transferred my order to their Cherry Creek location. Mildly annoying, why am I able to order on the app if I am outside of their radius? But it was an easy fix, so whatever. Then, twenty minutes later, I get a call from the Cherry Creek location saying they received my order but they don't do EAT24. Face palm. Then they say they can still deliver my order but they will have to take my payment. I explain that I have already paid through the app, and they say that they could "figure out how to take the payment [I] already made, but it would be a pain". Uh, and what, is this all supposed to be pleasant for me? I just want some food! I'm annoyed and hungry so I agree to pay. They asks me for my phone number... after they had just called me. They replicate my order and since I'm hungry and annoyed I just make a second payment and cancel my first through EAT24. Finally, my food comes! YAY! I sign the receipt and the driver goes off. I open the bag and HALF of my order is missing. This ordeal gives HANGRY a whole new meaning.

Ordered online very easily. My food got here in less than an hour. The only problem was, they did not have have plastic silverware in the bag. (I'm staying in a hotel). Food wasn't bad, needed a touch of salt to brighten the flavors. I'd likely eat here again just for the convenience factor of not having to leave my hotel room.

I'm reviewing the pizza. Which, if you don't feel like reading the rest of this review.... is awful. Maybe the worst pizza I've ever had...not kidding. First off it's covered in cornmeal. Are you kidding me? I'm from NY. And this is not pizza. It's unacceptable. Fresh mozzarella? Definitely bought at a store. Not white. There is literally no way they made this from scratch in the kitchen. Not a chance. Many places do. The sauce, also didn't taste homemade, but if it was, it was bland and didn't taste authentic. Paste base for sure at best, not real tomatoes. It was definitely not crispy, on the soggy side. But frankly, after the cornmeal, I didn't really care. That is a red flag of horrendous pizza. Use flour...my goodness. Maybe the other food is okay. But I doubt it. If you can't make a good pizza, really, let's be honest...you think I'm going to try the rest of your food? Never. Go anywhere but here - do yourself a favor. I grew up in an italian family. They would have walked out the door. If my grandmother came here, she would have had some choice italian words with the chef. She used to make everything from scratch. At least if you are going to make some preposterous fakeness out of a can or box, don't claim it's fresh and amazing... Anyone who rates this place higher, and has the word pizza in their review cannot be trusted! take their review with a grain of cornmeal! Oh...but they deliver....order pizza hut instead lol. (kidding. don't order pizza hut. theres some decent pizza places that deliver to cherry creek around. this isn't one of them)

I stumbled upon Mici's while traipsing through Cherry Creek North. They specialize in pizza and pasta and pride themselves in being a family owned establishment. They had a "choose two" item lunch special for $7.25, which caught my eye. You have options between soup or salad and paninis or pizzas. I ordered the della casa salad, which included mixed greens, gorgonzola cheese, grapes and walnuts with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I loved all the textures and flavors that went into this salad. The sweetness from the grapes, the crunch of the toasted walnuts and the tang of the dressing all worked nicely together. I had the giardino pizza, which is a veggie pizza (mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, artichoke hearts and zucchini). You can tell the ingredients are fresh and I love the crunchy thin crust! Overall, a good place to grab a quick lunch. P.S. They have gelato!

Very welcoming fast-casual Italian restaurant that is affordable while being located in Cherry Creek North. Had the chicken parmesan panini. While the sandwich was huge and freshly prepared, I felt the chicken was a bit too bland. Did love the fact that the sauce came separately so I could add as much as I wanted. Would like to try the gelato and pizza next time!

What a gem! I visited Denver on business and stumbled on Mici while walking through Cherry Creek. The first time, I tried the lunch special, half a Vedura panini and a slice of Digirolomo, which was amazing. I went back the next day and had the Pizza di Pina--it is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It looks simple but rocks! On my way to the airport, I stopped over and got the homemade meatball sandwich. This place is great. And the staff was super friendly. Great food for the price! I'm going back next time in town.

I love Mici, one of if not the best quick serve restaurant in Cherry Creek. If you work in the area, you must check out Mici's for lunch! If you are in a rush, you can call in your order and it will be waiting when you arrive. They also have delivery for certain hours as well. They offer a wide range of pizzas, pastas, salads and paninis. They also have a great lunch special that will allow you to mix and match a 1/2 panini, cup of soup, small salad or a slice of pizza. They also serve beer and wine as well as an assortment of gelato. The service is very friendly and quick. I don't think I have waiter more than 10 minutes in the restaurant when it has been super busy during lunch. Mici's does serve full pizzas as well, so that may take a bit longer.

My first introduction to Mici was when Pura Vida had it catered in for their Anniversary Party. Since then, I have made them a standard go-to place when I am craving a tasty pie and am in the Cherry Creek area. We usually order one with thinly sliced zucchini on top which for some reason really goes well with the pizza. We also order the Cristofori which is a pesto pizza with chicken and artichoke hearts. I've heard that they deliver, however, I'm usually in the area often and don't mind stopping in and picking them up. If you're in the Cherry Creek North and craving some good pizza, Mici's may be a good place to try!

I work a block or so from Mici and I come here every chance I get. The food is true, handcrafted Italian and made fresh in house. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful every single time- they take hospitality a step above the rest. Today I had the Pizza di Pina. It's simply perfect. The crust is perfectly light and crisp.. It takes me back to Nana's kitchen. I've never had a bad experience here, and I certainly don't intend to. I'll be returning time and again to Mici. A+, i miei amici!

We love the pizza at Mici and order their pizza about once every 10 days. One caveat: double check if ordering by phone that they understood your order and ask to see the pizza after it has been delivered and before paying for it!! The pizza is great but the order takers are human and sometimes don't pay attention well enough to orders with substitutions.

Fast, Affordable, "healthy" family choice. We eat here about 3x a week. Why? It is a non-chain kid friendly option with food I will eat too. Mici is our family go to when no one can agree on where to eat. A great place for neighborhood families looking for good food.

the ownership does not care about nor has loyalty to its customers. I have ordered from here for long time and for years I ordered the same item for delivery. About a year ago I was told that my 13 dollar order was not enough to deliver 2 blocks despite the fact that they have a $2 delivery charge that does not goto the drivers. I spoke to one of the owners and they basically did not care that I had been ordering for years. It took me long time to order from there again but I did as I really liked their lasagna. I have been getting the Tuesday lasagna and two slices of pizza delivered for awhile now. today I was told no more slices will be delivered. I have had enough of these people and their blatant disregard for loyal customers.....time to double my ordering with pasquini's as they appreciate my business

I kinda like this little neighborhood pasta & pizza joint. It reminds me a bit of an upscale Noodles, primarily b/c the ambiance is fast-casual and the format is fast-casual. You order and pay for your food when you arrive, find your seat, then they'll deliver your food to you. On this particular visit, I tried the pasta with a bolognese sauce. My companions had the same dish, but with extra meatballs, which I highly recommend you splurge for. My meat sauce was good, but needed a little more oomph - so next time I'll splurge for the extra protein. I also thought my sauce was a little bland at first, but the more I dug into it, the heartier it tasted. Overall, I liked the dish. My companions ordered a spinach salad which was huge - enough for all four of us. They have a nice selection of Italian beers and house wines. You are going here for a moderate priced meal - this is not a date-night place, in my opinion b/c it's pretty casual and a little loud. I do have to give props to the staff at the front counter - super friendly and inviting. I felt like they were glad to have us there and that makes a big difference in ambiance. My only complaint? I felt like the bread was really dry and flavorless. Throw a little butter on that baby or some cheese and garlic! Their speciality is thin-crust pizza. I will definitely return to try out a pie or two.

Mici presents itself as an upscale, casual dining restaurant. There's only one problem -- the food is not "upscale". I've been to Mici several times now, and each time I walk away unsatisfied. The food is average; nothing special. I feel like the restaurant is missing something -- Flavor? Authenticity? Something. I like that it's locally owned and operated and has a nice patio space, but the food quality needs improvement.

Mici is a great example of what a casual dining experience should be. This is not the highest end of cuisine, but it does a very good job at what it offers. The interior is clean, stylish, and everything appears to go together. The menu is centered on Italian with several options from pizza to sandwiches to salads. There is a wine menu that makes for a nice choice on a weekend lunch or for dinner. I have been here a few times for lunch and to meet up with colleagues after work for a quick bite. Each time has been really easy and satisfying. They validate for parking, which is not the easiest situation to find the first time. You need to go around the north corner of the block and head south. The entrance is on your left, but it is the second entrance for parking. you make an immediate turn up a ramp to park on the above ground floors. They have outside seating, which is covered by the above floors. It is nice to be able to sit outside and still feel sheltered from the unpredictable elements. Finding a quick place to eat with free parking in Cherry Creek North is not easy. Thankfully, Mici offers both convenience and consistently tasty food and drink.

This pizza reminded me of Dominoes and wasn't really that great. We also ordered delievery to our office and asked for utensils as well as ranch dressing and got neither. It's not terrible by any means but I would recommend Walnut Room or Lucky Pie instead.

Mici is a great pizza option in the Cherry Creek area. There are lots of options for pizzas, all of which are pretty traditional (no crazy California Pizza Kitchen options here, but a good variety of toppings). I usually take out instead of dine in, so I can't really comment on the space too much. It looks nice enough, and it's always quiet when we go in there. I've had just a pepperoni pizza, a DiGiorolomo (pepperoni, pepperoncini), and a Mediterraneo (tomatoes, olives, fresh spinach, artichoke hearts). I've always been pleased with the quality and quantity of toppings on the pizza. It's never oversauced. The crust is always a highlight, which is weird for me because i'm not really a crust guy. But it's crunchy and just feels and tastes good. All that said, it's not the type of pizza that's going to change your life or anything. It's just a good, lazy-night-in pizza place for those of us that live in the area.

It's always fun when you go somewhere without expectations! This is a very affordable fastfood Italian eatery where you order your food at the counter to be delivered to your table. Pros: -Affordable comfort food $9 for pasta, $2 for meat; $3 for salad. Marinara Pasta was nothing fancy but good. The fresh spring salad had sliced zucchini, cherry tomatoes and carrots. Oil & vinegar was plain oil and balsamic vinegar. Simple is good. Portions were plenty. -House wine was a blended red for $5. Loved it! -Garlic bread said "heart attack!" Loved it! -Very happy and friendly staff. On the phone they took time to explain where to park. -I am not a gelato expert but the choco mint was good. Tips: lots of families; there is parking on the 3rd fl in the building they are inside but it's hard to find the entrance to the ramp because it's small; parking is $4/hr (they will validate for you) or park on street. We got there at 7:30 on Friday and there were plenty of tables so I don't know what their rush is like. Next time I may even get their salami and cheese plate!

This is really a great, low key place to take the family or meet up with friends. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. They have an excellent gluten free crust which is rare in my opinion. The kids get pizza dough to play with while you wait for your food. You can get a glass of wine or a beer and some gelato, too. It's not fine dining - but it is excellent food and service, especially for the price. Plus, and it's a big plus for me, it's locally owned. I love supporting local businesses especially those with great customer service. We've been many times and we'll be back often.

Mici is great! Their food is always quality - and they deliver! Believe it or not, there aren't too many delivery places within Cherry Creek. Since I work in Cherry Creek and often can't get away from my desk to go out and grab lunch, this is a huge bonus for me! I love their Cortonese pasta and their Calzones are fantastic - my fav is the Mediterraneo.

  • Courtney B.

So they market themselves as "homemade", but I can tell there were many things on this menu that weren't made in house. That said, my husband ordered the meatball sub and really enjoyed it. Those were actually homemade. I got the pasta primavera and I mentioned to the manager that this wasn't their best dish... She agreed. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 3 is because the manager came over and ACTUALLY talked to me and really took my advice as an Italian-American and as a culinarian. I appreciated that. Also, she brought me out some walnuts to spice up the primavera since she was out of pine-nuts, which I suggested they start adding... Also the pignoli cookies are the shiiiiit!

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!! We are from New York and were lucky enough to happen upon this terrific restaurant on our last day in Denver. The food choices at the Cherry Creek Mall didn't really interest us so we walked across the street and what a gem we found in Mici! Three of us shared an antipasti salad, penne in meat sauce, and a margherita pizza as well as 3 glasses of outstanding house wine. The young man at the register who took our order was super friendly and helpful. We placed our order and sat at the lovely tables outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Our wine was brought quickly and soon after that our tasty dinner arrived. The owner delivered the last glass of wine himself and we struck up a conversation with him about life in Denver and such. Our whole meal was such a delicious and pleasant experience.. one that we will treasure. It was great food at a very reasonable price with super friendly service.. what more could we ask for? Thanks Mici for making our last dinner of our vacation so wonderful!!

Went here for my family birthday dinner. I was looking for a place that was family friendly, close to home, good eating, and not hard on the wallet. Way to go Yelpers! You pointed me in the right direction. Dinner is about $10 a person, very reasonable for such good Italian food. You walk in and it's set up is much like Noodles and Company. You order your food take a number to your table and they serve you. The food however, is a step up for from the chain. It is very very tasty on par with any sit down Italian joint. We tried the Marinara with Meat balls, Alfredo, Marinara with Chicken, Molto Carne Calzone, and the Ameritacho (totally spelled that wrong). All of it was very fantastic and most of it was consumed with the dinner. Hardly any left overs. The sauces are homemade as are the meatballs. The Alfredo sauce is made with a light hand and extremely tasty. We ordered a bottle of the Chianti and it had a wonderful spice. All of us in a celebratory mood decided to try their homemade gelatos. If you like gelato they do it justice. I'd say if you're in Cherry Creek and want some good pasta stop on by. You get a lot of really good homemade quality food for your money. They are off of 2nd and Milwaukee. Cheers my fellow Yelpers!!

I've been here for lunch twice, and enjoyed both visits. They have a lot of nice Italian options for under $10, and the menu is big enough you could come frequently and not get bored. On my first visit I had the chicken parmigiana panini and the fiancé had the meatball one. Both were good but the meatball one was great. On today's visit I tried the tortellini with prosciutto and peas; it was delicious if a bit heavy, but that's what I get for ordering alfredo. The garlic bread that came with was great-- they use high quality crusty bread and it shows. My friend had the verdura panini and it looked amazing. They get bonus points because the staff is friendly and helpful and because they have those delicious orange and lemon Pellogrino drinks. I'm definitely a fan!

Mici came by way of recommendation from a friend. I'm so glad I remembered that while hunting for a late lunch in Cherry Creek North. I was pleasantly surprised with the options and the pricing on the lunch menu. For a mere $7.25 you can choose two items (pizza, salad, soup, etc.). I opted for a veggie slice and a salad. Both were very tasty! The wait wasn't long and the staff was friendly. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

This review concerns Mici catering a work luncheon recently. Incredibly satisfied with the result! The employee delivering to the office was very courteous and set out a variety of pasta options for the staff. There was primavera, bowtie pesto with chicken, and penne marinara with meatball. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Garlic bread and extra grilled chicken. Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes as condiments. Loved it. Thanks, Mici!

For the last two days, I've been telling anyone who will listen to me about Mici's calzone filled with ricotta and Nutella. That particular item taught me to love again. I'm a fan of their sandwiches and salads too. And they deliver. I can't speak for their pizza, because I'm all about other things on the menu, but I can tell you that I've deeply enjoyed everything I've had. Especially the Nutella calzone. You really need to try that Nutella calzone.

Not a bad place when you are looking for a causal dining. But not a great place either. I like the idea and we have been here several times, but not sure any of the menu items relate to me. Maybe its because they use fancy Italian words which I don't understand, but even tasting the food, its good, but nothing I particularly crave. Service is always nice and I have never had a problem getting parking on this end of Cherry Creek North. It always has a crowd, but is not overcrowded. I've noticed people like bringing their kids to this restaurant a lot. Also, I kind of think the prices are deceptively high. The pasta starts at 9 bucks but then you have to add a protein for 2 dollars. So, when it all adds up, its good, just not great.

They know how to use quality ingredients. So far I've had the DiGirolomo personal pizza, the Palermo Pannini and a few breakfast items. I believe they stopped serving breakfast since there wasn't enough clientele for it, which is sad because there's enough people at my small workplace that loved it! The DiGirolomo pizza is the best non-sauce pizza I can imagine. Olive oil, julienned pepperoni and pepperocini, gorgonzola, etc. and all in the perfect proportion. Their pizza crust is excellent, with just the right about of cornmeal on the bottom in that delightful way that you like how it feels pressed upon your fingertips as you eat and compliments as a mild additive flavor. I savored every bite. The Palermo Pannini was much like the pizza - smartly organized and carefully crafted. I'm a big fan of panninis and this is up towards the top of my list. They need to get different flavors of chips to offer however. Very affordable for the area you're in and for the quality and quantity offered. The staff are outstanding - they shown enough of an interest in your well-being without appearing phony. Well done Mici, 4.5 stars!

Mici's has become one of my go-to lunch spots (and you can't beat kids-eat-free Mondays, especially when your brother with 4 kids comes to town). The lunch specials are reasonable, but I really like the Piatto Antipasti Salad. It's s nice sized salad that I can never get through alone. And the garlic bread that comes with it is a great bonus. It's a much better deal on a salad than Whole Foods down the street. I also like their pizzas that they make on their own special crust. They're thin and crispy. Not New York pizza, but still good. The staff is also really nice.

I have eaten at Mici several times before and have been satisfied, but today's experience put the nail in the coffin for me. I ordered a personal pizza and salad for delivery around 11AM. The pizza arrived cold (which I could understand if it were being delivered more than a block away), and my order came without napkins, silverware, parmesan or red pepper, standards for all delivery pizzas.

I found Mici's while walking around Cherry Creek for the first time. It was the second Italian restaurant I stopped to see if the food inspired me enough to sit down and give it a go. I had the Tuscan Panini. The presentation was very nice and the flavors...even better. I will definitely go back to try out more items on this menu.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
