Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Fantastic breakfast this morning! I came here expecting to have a solo breakfast when I ran into some friends- everything was perfect - we got some Greek omlettes with pancakes and I had the chili rellenos and eggs with a side of gyros! The gyros side was huge enough for all of us to share and by the time we finished eating we had all reached peak food coma status! If you havent tried this place your missing out! I'm convinced I'm a regular here for life!

My friends and I are on a quest for Saganaki, a traditional Greek appetizer of flaming cheese which is served at only a small handful of restaurants in Denver. We traveled from the northern suburbs specifically to try theirs. Boy, were we nervous when we pulled up and saw first the bar downstairs, and the lacklustre sort of "restored Denny's" type atmosphere! We almost turned around and walked right out! And if we had done so, we'd have missed out on a real treat! This place was awesome! Service could not have been friendlier! We observed several regulars addressing the staff by name. Everyone who worked there seemed very welcoming, and really genuine. We were treated very kindly, and felt appreciated throughout our whole experience. The presentation of the Saganaki with the traditional shouting of, "Opa!" when the flames are lit was really nicely done, with a little flair, and instruction for us to cheer along with the server. The Saganaki itself was excellent -- we ordered seconds, it was so yummy! For entrees, we had a variety. One person got the gyro meat quesadilla, and we all tried some and wished we'd ordered it, too, it was so delicious! That said, we also had some kind of Texas quesadilla, a Greek salad, and a traditional American bacon & eggs breakfast, and all were also really yummy and we shared them all around. We got some baklava for dessert; it was the richest I had every tasted, and a HUGE portion! Definitely more than an even portion for just one person at one sitting. Everything we tasted was spot on. Our experience was positive in every possible aspect, and we'll definitely be coming back!

This place rocks! One of the best spots for any meal of the day. Family owned and operated and this shows in the quality and service. I recommend the hike rellanos of gyro omelette

I came here for breakfast with a friend last Sunday. It is apparently a popular spot, there were 2 rushes while we were here. The first thing that stuck out at me was the size of the menu. They have lots of items, and they boast Greek, Mexican, and American breakfast. I get wary when a place branches out too much. I went with chicken fried steak and my friend had corned beef hash. Both were fine, nothing special, but not bad. We also had mimosas and these were a little weak. The decor is pretty gaudy. Overall nothing stood out as better than any other breakfast diner. I won't rush to come back, but it isn't terrible.

We came. We ate. We were full. I had a chicken sandwich, my friend had the philly, and my other friend had a gryo. I also had their baked potatoe soup. We had good service, good portions, and full tummies when we left here. Everyone enjoyed their meal as well. We got in there for Sunday lunch, and it was pretty busy.... so it seems like a good Family restaruant... that's connected to a bar! :) We'll be back, maybe check out the bar side one night.

Friendly service, good food, decent prices, comfortable lounge-type atmosphere, and everything seemed clean. Oh yeah, and $3 mimosas. What more could you ask for?

soupy refried beans. advertised home made fresh banana cream pie. it was not fresh home made banana cream pie. it was a cheap pie with 5-6 slices of banana around the side of it. $5.00. very poor quality pie. will not go back. cashier did not care when she was told of the quality.

I hate to hate on this place because it's just so sweet. It's a total step back in time. Remember that Denny's-like restaurant that your grandfather used to love? The one that served salteens with everything you ordered? That's this place! Well, this place has strange Elvis decor...but otherwise it's totally the same place. I really wanted to love this place, it's just so nastologic and earnest. But honestly, the food was below average even for a coffee shop. I would have given it 2 stars but the sweet waitress and Elvis figureens won me over.

First time here...omg...a cool random place ...food upstairs... dark seedy club downstairs... We didnt go to the club, but I would be curious to go at some point...Food was awesome. Had catfish that was perfect! Cant wait to go back.

I love businesses that are basically time capsules. Looking Good is one such place. I have been coming here since I was a baby and this place has changed exactly twice: When they got rid of the fans and wall that separated the smoking section after the smoking ban went in place and when they added these nice Greek island murals to a few corners. Otherwise, it's always been Formica counters, pale wood, vinyl seats and Elvis statuettes. Even the menu has barely changed: Greek, Mexican and American breakfasts and diner food. I usually come here for breakfast and can say it's one of the best values in town. The food isn't anything fancy but it comes in huge portions and is pretty affordable. A Hamilton will buy you a coffee and a gigantic egg, potato and green chili smorgasbord they call the Santa Fe Sunrise. They'll even throw in a couple of tortillas for you. Or you can get a good egg, potato and toast breakfast for about $5. They even have a few unusual choices like an Elvis pancake that includes peanut butter, banana and bacon. A single family has owned this place forever and have kept churning out great, affordable food the whole time. If that ain't Lookin' Good, I don't know what is.

I really liked this place. I wanted to try it because it's down the street from our house. My husband was a bit hesitant, but I convinced him and we went. The place is a time warp..but still very well maintained in all its 70s glory. It not only has good ol' greasy spoon entrees but also Greek inspired food/ Mexican food. I had the mad Greek spring quesidilla, and my husband had the Mexican steak. Both entrees were flavorful and well prepared. The staff were very friendly and i really enjoyed my experience there. I plan on going back here regularly.

Odd joint. Freaksihly odd architecture on the outside unfolds on the inside to a wacky up and down delirum of space and angels. Its like a Denny's colldied with an old A-frame IHop. The decor, what little there is, is Greek-Elvis. Our server was a bit haggish, slogging through her day and not espeically nice. But the manager kept the coffee coming. Onto the food: It was fine. Smaller portions than I expected. For a breakfast, it was just OK, but Yanna's justdown the street is, alas , far superior. Two Greek run coffee shops, night and day quality.

This is definitely mine and my little family's favorite neighborhood restaurant to go to, whether it'd be for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's convenient, they have good prices, great food with big portions, super friendly staff! $2 mimosa specials, great green chili, yummy burgers, yummy potato soup (closest to homemade I've had) and amazingly delicious banana cream pie. I can go on and on about all the reasons this place is our favorite. We've seriously became regulars in the past year and have never been disappointed. As long as the service and atmosphere stay great, this place will continue to be our favorite:) We have visited the looking good bar once which was really fun. We will definitely be going back soon.

A step back in time. LG was like shutting my eyes and stepping back into one of the street corner restaurants my grandparents used to take me to way back when. A locally owned place that probably hasn't changed in a decade or two . . . or maybe three. I drove up to Golden & Littleton to pick up an 81-year-old auntie & a 90- year-old-cousin of my Dad's . . . . . I had promised to take them to lunch and "catch-up" on family gossip. Looking Good Restaurant was their choice. Definitely not an elegant dining experience, but very friendly with a variety of good lunch choices. Service was good and quick. We sat and sat and caught up on all the comings and goings of relatives I didn't even know I had. Didn't get a chance to try the "cherry" thingy from the bar . . . . next time! Besides, I may need a drink or two for more family gossip.

Lookin Good is a nice family restaurant. The interior decor is an odd combination of Greek murals and Elvis artifacts. It is strange, but not unpleasant. I drove right past Looking Good for years. For some reason I always assumed that it was more of a bar than a restaurant, but eventually found out that this was not the case. Lookin Good has a lounge with a separate entrance from the restaurant. The menu is pretty standard, insofar as a conglomeration of American classics combined with Greek specialties and various Mexican dishes can be considered standard. I've only eaten here for breakfast, and found the food to be pleasant. The food has not been particularly memorable, but it was good. The wait staff can be very attentive and friendly. This was true on my most recent visit. However, prior to this most recent visit I had a server who spoke almost no English and just didn't seem to be interested in serving. I don't know if it's true or not, but I got the impression that he was usually a busser. I would tend to think that this was out of the ordinary, however.

Average food. Most of us had breakfast items. Hard to mess that up. The chicken sandwich was tough and gristly with a stale bun. Wi-fi didn't work. A little weirded out with all the Elvis decor, especially the one with the broken head.

Wow!!! Waitress is rude after shift change she didn't wait on us or check on us for at least 30 min. Cash only bar?????who has a cash only bar in 2013??? I don't carry cash and iam sure I'm not alone. The food was ok.

A touch skeezy. Only bud and bud light on tap. They had a cup of cherries that had been soaked in bacardi for $3 which I had to order just because it was odd. We only went for drinks. Probably won't return but the bartender was friendly!

I have been dining at the Lookin' Good Restaurant for years, and I have never had a bad dining experience. The restaurant is family owned and very service oriented. They take great pride in offering a great product with great service and maintaining you as a loyal repeat customer. With a mix of America, Mexican and Greek cuisines, you never get bored with the menu, especially when you take into consideration the great specials that they offer. Lookin' Good has a great lounge, ample amounts of parking and seating, so a wait is never long, if there even is a wait at all. You have nothing to lose dining at Lookin' Good, but you have everything to gain... a full stomach and a new regular place to eat

A passable family resturant. I had a chili burger, and it was OK. The price was very good!

This place is great. I have been there a few dozen times and have never had a bad meal. Service is quick and friendly. Good diner-style food with a large menu, plenty of options, good Greek and Mexican dishes, breakfast most (all?) the time, good burgers, and yummy desserts. Plus there is a bar attached if you want a drink or wine. Family owned neighborhood place where they care about their customers.

My fiance and I have made this place a Sunday breakfast ritual for the past 3 months. It is very welcoming and somewhere you can get a true homemade meal like grandma use to make you. This family owned cafe puts pride in their food and it shows. The staff is so friendly and not only do they make your traditional breakfast they specialize in Greek. Opa!!!! Don't judge a book by its cover, it may be outdated but it is very clean and the food is excellent! There is always such a good mix of people. This is a comfortable place with a warm atmosphere! You don't have to worry about any snobby crowds here just good people!!!!! See you next Sunday!!!!

wow! so friday night was my first time attending this place, started off a little shady when i got frisked and told to put my hat on forward instead of back. seen it before though, so cool. keep in mind i am also a nationally known and touring hip-hop dj, so this was jest a place to grab some drinks with some close friends while i'm here. so we spent i would say 2-300$ on drinks, my friend had an old ass bronco hat on he kept turning backwards cause thats jest how he wheres it usually, they asked him once maybe twice to turn it and he did and apologized, well as were getting up from the table to leave he turns his hat, this bull shit cop, officer martinez ( i wont forget ) who is slangin shit on the side there tells him to leave, and he escorts him to the back door, i tried to talk to said officer and begins cussing and yelling at like a child, i'm 33 years old, no need to cuss officer, be grown, this killed this place for and i will never go back, nor will any of my friends.
