Taco Tuesdays ... surprisingly a great taco, had the carnitas and steak options and they were really good! And then you find out they are only $1 each ... great price, great food, and the bar staff was lots of fun and kept us topped off. Really appreciated the great customer service. Keep in mind that they actually close around 11p or midnight ... the hours on yelp are based on business ... if they are busy they will stay open past 11 ... but usually by 112 they are closing ... even on the weekends ...

I knew going in that Lime would be nothing like the Mexican food I've grown accustomed to in Arizona. Plus, I've lived in Colorado for a good chunk of time and know that finding decent Mexican food can be a challenge. But I didn't really go for the food; I went for the company of some friends I hadn't seen in ages. We were seated in the bar area and our server was rather attentive at first. I didn't try any of the margaritas here, but my friends seemed to enjoy their flavored boozy concoctions. The complimentary chips and salsa: I wasn't a fan of the overly sweet, pretending to be smokey salsa; however, the fat kid in me was doing backflips over those deep fried flour tortilla chips! I ordered the Grilled Steak Burrito ($13.95): Filled with refried beans, cheese, and I opted to have it covered in both the Green and Red Chile. The meat was really tough, and the "Chile" was watery. These guys should be embarrassed to call it Chile. It was lacking in seasoning, too. Come on, guys, don't be afraid of salt in small quantities! At that point, I tried to eat half of it so I wouldn't have to grab food anywhere else before getting home. Also, my friend ordered Street Tacos and we were both amused these came out on Mini Hard Shells instead of doubled up Corn Tortillas. The kitchen kindly changed this. When it came time for the check, our server was like Houdini. Had to wave at him several times (with no acknowledgement of, "I'll be right with you!") over a 20 minute period to so I could pay and hit the road - Keeping in mind I had to return a rental car and jump on a flight home. Now I know it's not fair to compare, but honestly, I just didn't enjoy the food here. This place certainly has potential, but not sure if I'll be back to see if anything changes.

Stopped by Lime in wait for lanes to open at Lucky Strike on a Tuesday night. To my surprise Tuesday is apparently the perfect night for both places. They have $1 tacos and $5 margaritas, what a steal! I almost didn't want to leave for lucky strikes but you can only have so many tacos. The wait was a little long and the tacos didn't amount to anything substation but for $1 I'll be as happy as a clam. The atmosphere is fun and I enjoyed sitting at the bar which has more than enough space. After filling up on tacos and margs definitely check out the $2 bowling next door!

I had planned to go somewhere else but stopped by here after I saw they had a deal for patrons of the movie theater next door. I had a little over an hour before the movie which I thought should be more than enough time. Little did I know how wrong I would be. In the restaurant's defense, it was the Fourth of July. However, the restaurant was quite empty. Even with the relatively few number of guests, they seemed severely understaffed. I had a check-in offer which took almost half an hour to resolve. I would have been happy to acknowledge that I could only have one of my two offers, but no one came by for quite some time. Once I put my order in, it took another twenty minutes for me to get my food and margarita. The server was very friendly and acknowledged the wait time, but I wish they were more upfront about it, as I almost missed my movie. In terms of the food and beverages, the ceviche was quite fresh. I thought a few more chips would have been nice, as I only got two for the whole dish. The complimentary house chips were sort of hit and miss. The salsa was really smokey and tasty. The tortilla chips seemed to be deep fried old tortillas that were oddly puffy and greasy. My discount house margarita was fine but nothing special. Overall, the food was fine. The service suffered a bit, but it seemed like the restaurant was really understaffed. I think maybe coming after the movie would be a better strategy in the future, but I'll probably go somewhere else that is more consistent.

As a Mexican I wake up on Tuesdays and think "Taco Tuesday!!! Taco Tuesday is the BEST day!" I had a fat smile on my face all day looking forward to my friend's birthday dinner. I have been to the Tech Center location several times but last night was my first time to the 16th St location, even though I work about 1/3 of a mile away. I plan on staying away, that is for sure. If only Lime would take a little bit more pride in their service and overall experience than this place would be ROCKIN'. Our service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. We arrived and told them our reservation and they replied with "we don't have a table yet not sure when we will have one." Um, OK. Why accept reservations then? Our waitress acted like she wanted to be anywhere but there and seemed annoyed at everything we requested. ("Another margarita?" *sigh* "My life sucks" - her internal thoughts). Get out of the service industry if you hate your job so much! She even charged us incorrectly and basically, instead of fixing it, shrugged her shoulders and let us figure it out. I only tipped because I'm not a jerk and I bet they don't get compensated fairly when the tacos are on special like they were. Taco Tuesday is a great deal for $1 standard tacos and $5 margaritas which were actually pretty tasty. Note that the tacos are not customizable or there is steep upcharges. I came in not expecting much if the tacos are only a buck but I still left underwhelmed. Get it together Lime you guys cold be a great establishment in a great location!

Yay! I'm a fan of Lime on Taco Tuesdays. $1 Tacos-- great variety of all sorts, Live DJ and $5 Margaritas in a great location upstairs at The Pavilions on 16th Street Mall- what's not to like?? Great service from the barstaff-always friendly and hustling to keep you fed and topped off with beverages. $1 Taco Tuesday - choose from Hard Corn, Soft Flour or Naked Stuffed with Ground or Shredded Beef, Shrimp, Veggie, or Chicken with ample shredded lettuce and pico de gallo and chopped fresh jalapeno. I always upgrade with side orders of sour cream and guacamole for a small charge. DJ Jesse James keeps the vibe going with great variety of R&B, Old Skool Hip Hop, House and Disco sounds $5 House Margaritas and other weekly drink specials along with a great design with large garage style doors help to make for a patio party type feel

Margaritas were strong and delicious flavor options. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and they were pretty flavorless. Complimentary chips were crispy and homemade out of flour tortillas, salsa was also very bland

  • Amy N.

I'll start positive, delicious chips! The salsa tastes a bit like marinara sauce, and I ordered a raspberry margarita, I think it was straight margarita mix from a bottle with no tequila. We stopped by on a Tuesday evening for "Taco Tuesday," and had to wait 5-10 minutes after being seated before anyone approached us. Then the waitress was a total b*tch when we asked about the Taco Tuesday deal, but whatever, we ordered anyway. The tacos came out fast enough, but we had 2 tacos at our table that we didn't order. Instead of the waitress asking about it or apologizing, she promptly took out the paper with the order on it and said "no, it's right here you ordered it." Bullshit. She was extremely rude and a manager came over later to take the margarita back, but wasn't very nice about it either. Anyway, I don't recommend this place, it was extremely underwhelming.

Lovely pleasant atmosphere for brunch- I suggest sitting be the open garage style windows... Perfect for people watching! DJ was a nice addition to the background. Crab Benny queso was fantastic! Not to mention their heavenly chips. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life. Portion sizes generous, and friendly wait staff. Would definitely recommend!

The salsa here is like crack. I'm giving them 4 stars for their salsa because I'm sitting here downing this salsa like my life depended on it. It's a sweet location too in the mall with nice outdoor seating

I've been here multiple times and have never been overly impressed, but after last night I'm not even sure I will be back. I called and made a reservation since it was taco Tuesday, and showed up right on time at 7:00 with 7 people. The hostess told me that they were just waiting for our table to get up and then we'd be seated, but wasn't really sure how long that would be. I looked over, they still had full drinks and full plates! What's the point of making a reservation of there's not a table for us within a few minutes of arriving?! About 10-15 minutes later we were offered a booth that would fit 6 of us, with a chair on the end. Perfect. We sat down and ordered some margaritas (only $5 on taco Tuesday) and they were really good. The rest of my friends ordered $1 tacos ($3 if you want shrimp) and I got the queso nachos. My friends asked if they could get theirs with no picco and our waitress said it would be a $2.50 up charge if you want something taken off! I get it's taco Tuesday and they have a TON of orders but that just screams they're not made fresh and just sitting out waiting for someone to order them. Overall food was good, and a great deal. As for service: We were there for a birthday dinner, sat for about an hour and a half and saw our waitress maybe 4 times? Each time she came over she acted like we were such an inconvenience to her. Another margarita? Ugh. Oh you want sour cream? Double ugh. Split your checks? No can do. How hard can that possibly be?? Oh and I had two free margarita cards and apparently because I didn't give them to her at the beginning of the night I made a HUGE issue for her taking them off at the end. Gimme a break. I made sure to tell my friends to save their checks until their card goes through. Last time I ate here they overcharged me by $10 and I just happened to notice it. My friend then commented and said that had also happened to her here once. I called and they fixed it within a day or two but I wonder how many people just don't notice it. Step up our service Lime and if you hate taco Tuesday so much then don't do it!

We each had three different dishes and were incredibly happy with all of them. Love the super crispy rellenos. Queso and chips was good too. We'll be back!

I highly recommend checking out Lime on a Tuesday evening. On Tuesdays they have $1 tacos and $5 margaritas. It was very crowded so the service was a little slow to order but once I had the chance to order the tacos came out very quickly. There was nothing special about the tacos. They were a bit like Taco Bell but for a $1 I can't complain.

We selected my male friend to be our point of contact with our waitress as she nonverbally showed us that she preferred him communicating with her. The food was solid, I'd say over priced chain Mexican. Although the queso flambeado was greasy but excellent. I had the steak soft tacos, they were good, but I could have gotten better quality on the streets of my old home San Antonio for 1/4 of the price. They did have several gluten free options which always makes our party happy. 21 ounce margs are the way to go, not anything to rave about but they get the job done.

Taco Tuesday and Cinco De Mayo on the same day?! Yes please! Lime has a pretty good system for $1 tacos where you can customize the meat selection (beef, chicken, veggie, fish), as well as the tortilla (corn, flour, hard, soft). Chips and salsa are really good. Make sure to get the 1/2 and 1/2 (flour and tortilla) basket of chips!

    (3)
  • Samuel Antonio S.

Great food, so so margs. Way too sweet and and not handcrafted but got the job done. The food was great. Their house salsa is quite amazing, their queso flameado is probably my favorite queso (cheese) in Denver!

I have to agree with other reviewers on this place. The Taco Tuesday deal is great but the service is terrible. I get it, servers don't like taco tuesday because people don't tip as much. The thing is we would have tipped on the full price (a good tip) if the service was good. First let me tell you about this great deal, each taco is $1 (chicken, ground beef, shredded beef) or $3 for shrimp. You can choose a hard shell, flour tortilla, corn or naked. Warning: It comes with pico, cheese and lettuce and if you don't want any of those on it they charge you $2.50 for a $1 taco to take it off. Hope you like onions or you are going to pay 150% more for a taco without them. The margs are really strong too and are only $5 which is a good deal. Tip: make a reservation, it's really busy on these nights. Now to our service, our waitress had the worst attitude. She rarely came around to see if we needed anything. We had to flag her down to get more drinks and to take our order. Then every time we did ask her for something she would act like we were bothering her. What happened to good customer service? Overall the tips will continue to be low for waiters on taco tuesday if they act like that. Important Tips for Taco Tuesday: 1. Make a reservation 2. You will be charged for everything (chips aren't free) and taking anything off the tacos will cost money 3. This Lime is on the 3rd floor by the movie theater

On a Tuesday the Dj was so loud in the almost empty restaurant we asked to move. They seated us behind a plastic window directly behind the host stand. A window no one had any problem gesturing wildly threw and starring blankly at. It made us feel super awkward. The waitress took forever to bring us water (had to ask twice). Then when we asked what they had on tap she just waved in the direction of the bar and said "Those ones." The food was sub-par. This place clearly thinks that their location alone will keep them open.

Always come here after work and the fact they rented the hole establishment out for a bunch of rich people..just not cool on taco Tuesday.. you guys messed up man..you have bouncer in front turning away business..really

Margaritas were good. Waitstaff was great. Salsa was tasty, but not everyone will be a fan of their style of tortilla chips. Overall the food was bland. I've had better.

July 2015 Review updated from 1 star to 3 for A-OK: We have dined again twice, after the horrible experiences listed below, in the back bar area. Much, much better service. Last week we were served by Emily who was quick, friendly, and on it. Whenever we go back and always sit in the back area and ask for her. Original review: I am not exaggerating when I say this place has delivered some of the most consistently bad service I have ever experienced. Mediocre food. Lifeless, depressing servers. Have to ask for menus, drinks, just about everything. Seriously, I was excited when this place opened because it is on our block. How disappointing. I even wrote the company on their website because I did not want to give a public bad review. No management ever even responded. Mark my words, this place will be closed in a year.

Impossible to get service here. Ugggh. I recently gave this place a great review but this time I am sorry to say the service was beyond horrible. After asking twice for a menu I had to talk to a manager in order to get one. No real concern from her however. Even after getting the menu, the server never came by to take my order.

$1 Taco Tuesdays -- ALL DAY/NIGHT! And they're decent size tacos with lots of options for meat and tortillas! LOVE it! The $5 margs are pretty tasty and not too wimpy. Love the garage doors all around the place. GREAT service and GREAT prices, I need to make this my regular stop on Tuesdays before heading to the light rail.

Stopped in for happy hour before our movie last night. We wanted to sit outside but it had just rained and the tables were wet, we were told a table would get wiped down for us and it would just be a few minutes. We stepped into the bar and ordered some drinks there while we waited. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We got our margaritas and stepped back out into the hall to wait for our table (the bar was getting a bit crowded) to have the hostess tell us we couldn't stand there. We stepped out the front door to get to the patio area and the hostess followed us to tell us we couldn't stand there either.. (how about telling us where we CAN wait?). We waited another 10 minutes or so for our table and then everything got better. Our waiter was very helpful and kept our water full and drinks coming. Let's be honest, the food at Lime isn't great.. but it's the chips you come for. Deep fried and greasy.. Yum! We got the $1 tacos and relaxed until our movie started. Yay for the chips, yay for the waiter.. Boo for the hostess.

Didn't eat the food so I can't review that, but my husband and I stopped in for a quick margarita. Felt like we were asking too much from the bartender whom was obviously at the end of his shift, so he was not friendly at all. And then to pay $12 per drink and get nothing but a crap margarita (it was all mix and zero tequila). We were in and out within 15 minutes. We stopped all over the restaurants and bars in Denver and we loved the city, the bars, the food, and people so much, but this was definitely a low during our stay. Don't bother, people.

Very open and inviting biz, prompt and friendly service (at least on Sunday afternoons haha). Tortilla soup is respectable. Do yourself a favor: get the jalapeno margarita with Herradura Silver tequila and extra heat, you won't be disappointed :-)

Came here alone looking for some ceviche. i sat in the bar just inside the outside patio area and the atmosphere is awesome. however, CJ the bartender seemed to be the only one working the bar and all the tables in the bar area. Although he was good at his job, he was definitely distracted doing his duties and appeared to be spread thin on everything. he hustled to everything he was doing. he took my order for the ceviche, but then came back a little while later to let me know the kitchen was out of ceviche. I ordered the modern margarita off of his recommendation and it was full of flavor but i wish it had more ice, it was pretty warm. Nothing turns me off a margarita faster than a warm glass of tequila. after i ordered the carne asada street tacos, i only saw CJ when he dropped off my food and as soon as he sat it down he was out of there. there was no opportunity to ask for water or anything else. he also never came back until after i finished my tacos, another reason i think the lime should have another waiter/ress in the bar area. the street tacos came with two slices of lime that were both dried out. one of the slices produced ZERO juice. i was able to squeeze out enough juice form one lime to squeeze on almost half of my order. i would have asked for more fresh limes, and a glass of water, but i was not given the opportunity because no one came to check on me. overall, i think this place has potential and i am sure have served up some bomb dishes, but tonight, i wasn't impressed. With all the options on 16th street, it will be a long time before i come back here again.

So Lime has been around for awhile and I really associate it with nuevo Mexican cuisine. So as I was heading to a movie at the United Artist theater in Denver Pavillions, Lime immediately caught my eye. First let me say that the Denver Pavillions located right smack dab in the middle of downtown Denver off of 16th street has underground parking which pretty much can be validated by most businesses within the Pavillions. Second, Lime is on the third floor and is accessible by elevator and escaltor. Its just a pet peeve of mine on yelp reviews that first you have to find the place before you can eat the food. So anyway, Lime advertises this movie special where each day of the week there is a menu item priced to sell. On this particular Thursday it was a 6 dollar burrito. Lime has a very upscale feel with some modern decor and super professional staff. But its always about the food and the chicken tinga is a great little burrito. Lime just seems to have a little bit of twist from the everyday Mexican fare. So even if your not going to watch a movie, Lime is a great restaurant and I remember liking their tacos from a previous visit, so this is no one hit wonder either.

Met up with a new local friend who said that she wanted Mexican and suggested this spot. She'd forgotten about their Taco Tuesday promotion and we were both stoked about eating some $1 or $3 tacos and $5 margaritas. The food was good, not overwhelmingly great. My soft corn tortillas proved not equal to the task of containing their chicken and beef and fell apart upon picking them up (not a huge deal since a deconstructed taco is just as good as a regular one). Service was a bit off on two fronts: new hostess was obviously out of sorts and could have used a bit more support or direction. Our waiter also lost us in the shuffle of dealing with a large group a table over. Got to the point that we had to flag down a random waitress in order to get our bill. Overall, good spot. Food isn't the greatest, nor the most authentic, but at that price, it's hard to beat. Service being subpar may have had more to do with it being a busy Taco Tuesday, though running such a promotion places the burden of responsibility for handling it well on the part of the business.

  • Ryan M.

I'm bummed about this spot. Not that I had high expectations, but the place itself looked pretty nice inside. I went for lunch and it was mostly empty, but the service was incredibly slow. In general, they were friendly, but it took way longer than the usual weekday lunch outing. The food itself was pretty mediocre. I had the lime tacos (chicken) and didn't feel at all satisfied. Plenty of food on the plate, but the taste just left me wishing I had went for something else. I also tried a mini mighty margarita. Also below average and not worth the price. Maybe it was just this particular experience, but based on other reviews, it seems that what I've said here isn't anything new.

The food is pretty good but the service is hit or miss and mostly miss. We have tried to go several times for Taco Tuesday and one time had good service, the other 2 times service was horrible. Our waiter said, I'll be right with you after we sat there for 15 minutes with no drinks or anything and he never came back. Another waiter gave us some water and we had to flag down another waiter to put in our order. The manager came over and we complained and didn't even get an, I'm sorry about that. Just very rude and not very accomodating. So if you can put up with the horrible service and you are not in a hurry, Taco Tuesday is okay.

Descent (chain restaurant) Mexican. Average prices -- $20 per person for entree and two beers. I had shrimp tacos and they were good and filled with a healthy amount of shrimp. My friend said his chicken fajitas were a little bland and could've used more spice. Free chips and salsa but the chips are thick, flour style pitas. Not a big fan. The salsa had a nice kick and I used it to spice up my shrimp tacos. Our waitress was unbelievably nice and bubbly. We came to the conclusion that she was most likely medicated, but hey it made for fantastic service!

Hmm I wonder why people are bashing about them when I think it's pretty good. Came here for just a drink... sitting by the window the view was beautiful. From the host to server and bartender, everyone was pretty good. Complimentary salsa was mild. I am glad to have this pit stop during shopping!

I've been to this new location a few times. It's a really nice place and a great spot on 16th Street Mall. I love that there are garage doors that open up on nice days. They have $3 margaritas during happy hour and also about 4-5 appetizers for only $3 each, such as queso, nachos, flautas, etc. They have a ton of vegetarian items on the menu, and I look forward to trying out many dishes in the future. The service isn't always great. But it's a really good deal for happy hour, and I like the place itself so I will be back.

So I read that a lot of people like the tacos here??? Not sure why. The two stars are for the good, but absolutely ordinary, tortilla soup. I heard the manager asking the bartender why he thought it was so dead at 6:30 on a Thursday night..........I have an idea....have you actually eaten your tacos? There's a reason they're only a dollar on Tuesdays. I might come back for a margarita.....but why would I possibly waste my time in a city full of awesome food options?

This review is based on a Monday night happy hour. House margaritas for three dollars were good but needed an added shot of Grand Marnier to really make it worth the drink. Highly recommend the Modern Margarita. The Lime Nachos were also very good. The really nice part was the service from Scott - it was excellent and we really enjoyed the bar atmosphere, especially since we had a great window seat with a view down onto the 16th St. Mall. Overall, I would say our experience was excellent!

I believe this is the same restaurant that they have on the Mountain in Winter Park that's always packed? Anyway- it was a nice place to go before a show- quick service and good food. I had the shrimp enchiladas which were very good but very rich! My husband enjoyed the fish tacos and my daughter barely made a dent in the chimichanga she ordered because it was so large! I was not impressed with the top-shelf marg I ordered- pretty watered down. It was nice to sit outside and hear the live jazz from the bar next door. The service was fine and staff was friendly. With how many places there are to eat in Denver, though- not sure I'd go back here.

Lime gets the award for my worst dining experience in recent memory. We went there for a business lunch that we had made reservations for. Everyone in our party ordered food and after 2 hours of waiting, I kid you not, 2 hours.. half of us had left and we ended up getting it boxed up to go. Food was good, but I'll never go back.

  • Terry D.

I have to say the food was unremarkable. I had the veggie chimi; the tortilla tasted sweet. The chips and salsa lagniappe was also on the bland side. Even with all of that I could have given a what-the-heck 3 star rating but the service was poor. I couldn't figure out who was the waitress and who was the bartender. But in the end it didn't matter because the hostess did most of the waiting and bussing of tables. So kudos to the hostess. Yeah, I doubt I'll go back.

This place was very under staffed for a happy hour. The waitress did a terrible job due to the fact she had no help. Took an hour to get a table, my water was not refilled not even once. I tried to ask her. 2x for a side of sour cream but I was ignored. She looked overwhelmed. My empty plate sat in front of me for about 30 min. However I've been in a waitress for years so I can chalk this up as a bad day for the restaurant, except the fish tacos at $5 a pop were little once upon a time frozen fish nuggets so over cooked and dried out. Hence the reason I wanted sour cream. The lettuce was wilted the whole experience just a mess. Still waiting to check out I'm guessing that will be a mess too.

Beautiful bar in the heart of the pavillions, it's a great central location. If it were based on the decor and the happy hour specials alone, this place would be a 5. On Tuesdays it's $1 tacos. You get shredded chicken, ground beef (the best), shredded beef, or veggie with the option of a hard, soft, or naked taco. Shrimp and salmon are $3/taco. It's a fun place to grab a $5 margarita and move on with the night. It's not the best food that'll blow your mind, but come on, if you're expecting out of this world food for $1, you have issues.

Stopped in here for drinks after a movie, so can't testify to the food, but I thought it was a great stop! The space looks great, decor is absolutely beautiful. I know this is super weird but it also smells really, really good. We had a great conversation with a bartender, Eli, who we thought was just absolutely fantastic and so friendly! He also had us sample a tequila I had never tried (and my almost-empty bottle of Advil can attest that I have tried MANY tequilas) and absolutely loved! The only off thing about this location was the ambiance, there wasn't really that many people in there, which considering it was 9:30 on a Friday I am going to say is because of the horrific cold we were having, and most likely not a factor. I would definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing a drink and meeting their amazing bartenders!

This review will be no different as like several others have pointed out, the service has room for improvement. We had reservations but had to wait 10min while tables were cleared. For why, I can only assume a shortage of staff as this place was far from busy. It took 15min before we were able to order, we had to order the complimentary chips and salsa, and our dinners were delivered incomplete. I'm only giving the two stars for the fact that meal portions are generous as are the adult bevvies. Order the Scorpion add-on's. If you are looking for a bit if a kick , these will deliver.....even if the order comes at the same time as the check.

4 stars for the interior 0 star for the food This review is based on my opinion. I have eaten at Lime before, and was hoping that things had changed. At the first bite, I could tell things have not changed. Bummer. Interior - very lovely, comfortable, relaxing, gorgeous actually. There is a gorgeous brick interior, with browns and natural tones. The interior is clean, and nicely lit as well. The Christmas decorations (we went on the night of the Parade of Lights:12-6-2014), made it very festive indeed. There is plenty of room in the bar, for large and small groups. We happen to sit at the bar, as there were lots of reservations (according to the hostess), so many tables were spoken for. Funny thing, the restaurant was not full at all, and it was 5:30 pm. Maybe the reservations were for later in the evening? I don't know, but it seemed strange. Staff - very good. The bartenders knew their stuff, and were very busy, helping the other patrons that were also sitting at the bar. The hostess was very nice. She told us there were lots of reservations, but we could sit at the bar, or they could figure out where they had open tables, but they needed a few minutes to check. We found her explanations informative, and not "stuffy," as some places are. The other waitresses and waiters were also good, moving about, doing their jobs. Again, it wasn't crowded, so I am not sure what they were doing, but they weren't standing around and talking. Food - How do I describe the food? In my opinion, not good. At the very first bite, and as I stated earlier, I was hoping that the food had gotten better from the last time I had previously eaten at a Lime Restaurant. Again, a big disappointment. The food was barely warm. It was very bland, nothing memorable. Actually, I'd rather forget it. No spices, no flavors. It seemed like it had come from a box, then microwaved, and served on a plate. Again, this is my opinion. Oh, how I wish, the managers/owners, would hire an actual chef, and turn out some good, mouth watering, flavorable, memorable food! This place would ROCK, actually ROCK if they had good, not GREAT food! The interior design and the staff really work, it's just the food that doesn't! Location - right on the 16th Street Mall, a GREAT location! Upstairs by Jazz @ Jacks too! Great location! Interior - plenty of tables and booths, with a large bar area. The restaurant is nicely laid out, with lots of room. You will not feel claustrophobic. Again, the hostess informed us that there were lots of reservations when we walked in. Again, there were not that many people there. With lots of reservations, you would expect to see lots of people. For example, if the 5:30pm, 6:00pm slots were full, then the next slots would fill up, say 6:30pm, 7:00pm, etc. So, where were all the people? My guess, (again my opinion), is that people made reservations at 1-3 places downtown, and Lime was their 2nd or 3rd choice, in case their "higher choices" were full. One of our favorite restaurants downtown on the 16th Street Mall, downstairs actually, had a 45 minute wait, and there were lots of people there waiting. It was packed! Again, my opinion, as I'm still not sure where all the people were. I could be wrong, I don't know. So, my review for Lime - In My Opinion - great interior! great staff! great location! Food - bland, nothing memorable, served warm, not hot, and not worth the money.

I was very excited to visit my Dad in Denver on my thanksgiving break. This would be my first trip to Denver and I had heard a lot of great things about the downtown scene. When my Dad told me we had reservations at Lime, I was excited to see what Denver's restaurants had to offer. Let's just say I'm no longer excited. I've worked in restaurants since I was 14 and know exactly what it takes to have a successful service. Smiles, quality food, patience and attention to customer service. All of these elements were missing from our dinner at Lime. Our water took 5 minutes, my father's margarita, another 20. Entrees came out 40 more minutes later only to have my father's medium rare carne asada appear charred and rendered inedible. Another 20 minutes and he has his steak at the proper quality but not until the female manager took an insulting tone with us once we described the issue, only telling us "I don't know" and "well... It's a Saturday." Appalling was the lack of grace and patience with her customers. I've never seen my manager at my work act so rudely to a guest with a problem. The only saving grace of the evening was our lovely server Samantha. She was attentive, very nice and professional. She would be the only reason I'd consider coming back to this restaurant. Don't waste your time. Also, got food poisoning from here.

This place is terrible, terrible service and food. The salsa taste like ass! We waited 50 mins to get our food. I should have gone to Rio.. also the drinks were watered done. Infant believe I wasted my money here.

Pretty great/quick/affordable lunch option if you come on $1 taco Tuesdays! This location is much larger and nicer than the old spot on Larimer. Service was friendly and fast. I was happy to learn they offer corn chips, not just flour, since I was not a fan of their flour chips. You order the tacos sushi style and can add sour cream for 50 cents or guac for 75 cents. You can pick from hard shells, soft corn, soft flour or no tortilla at all. The shrimp and shredded beef tacos were the most flavorful. The fried fish needed some heat, in my opinion. I liked their blended salsa and the portions and tacos themselves were large - we all ordered four but could only eat two or three apiece. We also shared some delicious white queso. We did have one incorrect taco but they took it off the bill, no questions asked. I'll be back for sure!

Lime's food is really mediocre. I can't say I've had anything great here. If my employer didn't have events with free food here all the time, I'd never go. Only the Taco Tuesday deal is worth it. The waiters here refused to give me an iced coffee, saying their machine just doesn't do that. Well, then just give me ice and give me coffee! Annoying.

We love taco Tuesday and they have great drinks and food!! We come every week. It's a couple servers know us by name and order! Lol Sadly every time we go we have awful slow service. The bidders and food runners keep us coming back they always are on top of things. I don't want to blame poor service on the servers it maybe from over seating or too large of sections. Really wish things would change service wise. Today it took 10 minutes to get waters and 16 minutes later our drink showed along with our tacos. Our chips queso and guac came after our our entrees and it was very frustrating and confusing to me and my party. We will continue to come back because the great food and drinks. Taco Tuesday/ tequila Tuesday's are the best days!!

Let me start by saying that the food was good! It really was. I had chicken fajitas and my husband had a combo platter with a tamale, enchilada, and chili relleno. We both enjoyed. If only food was the only detail important to a restaurant! Let me explain what was wrong with everything else: -It took almost ten minutes for anyone to come talk to us after we were seated- and 5 more to get a drink menu -The dining room was awkward because there were a lot of tables pulled aside for what looked like big groups, meaning we were awkwardly sitting at a small table alone in the middle of a big room. This would have been understandable if the big groups were still there, but the big tables were filthy and empty. You could tell they had been for some time -Worst coin margarita of all time. It was so sour that we mixed it with the paloma (which was too sweet) just so we could both palate our drinks -Toward the end of our meal, when someone finally came to clean the large tables around us, the person doing it had their pants resting below their boxers. I don't want to look at someone's ass while I'm eating dinner, call me crazy -The women's bathroom was a mess- the first two stalls i went into didn't have latches on them at all, and none of them had any toilet paper Overall, this place feels like a weird Mc Mansion... a place meant to look like a fancy upscale restaurant but is clearly not being managed well and ends up feeling like a movie set or something. I imagine I could poke holes through the fake stone walls with my fingers. We will not be going back. It's a shame for the chef because it isn't the kitchen that drove me away.

We came here for dinner. It has a great atmosphere and vibe. The food was delicious. I highly recommend getting the scorpions for a starter. They are jalapeños and cream cheese fried that has shrimp inside and served with a great red chili sauce. The nachos are also a great choice too. My brother had the Baja fish tacos and those were great. The customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend visiting this spot.

We waited 45 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, it was all but inedible. We were so hungry that we all attempted our meals, but they were genuinely bad. The four of us had four different menu items, all flavorless and cold. One of the party's meal was disgusting, and she asked to see the manager. He was very nice and understanding. He gave us a large percentage off of our bull which was great. All in all, we had terrible service, bad food, and in general, had an awful experience. I will never recommend this place to anyone else.

The ambience in this place is great, you can't get any better right over 16th St. mall, the food is okay, if you order anything on the menu you won't be disappointed but you won't be overwhelmed either has a lot of floorspace for getting together with friends and slamming down a couple of tequilas I highly recommend it for parties and after a date night watching one of the movies in the Denver pavilions

This is a GREAT place to stop after a movie. It's only been open for a few months it appears but WOWIE what a place. The decor and seating is really a funky elegant kind of place that you can wear a suit and tie or your favorite whatever. We happened in after a movie for a margarita or 6. We were immediately brought a very large basket of chips and salsa. The chips were flour tortilla that they fresh fry themselves. So good. (First basket is on the house) Margaritas were pretty good as well. Was a bit off to be charged an additional dollar for a frozen one. Still can't figure that one out. Sunday's special is buy one entree, get one free with a movie ticket stub. Pretty good deal. They have other daily specials as well. The design of the place is great. The distressed copper looks great and so many different places to sit and relax alone or with a big crowd. One of the really neat features we noticed is the windows along the mall open up to let in the sunshine and fresh evening air. They open like big garage doors, but there's a waist high fence sort of things outside them so you don't fall over the edge. This ought to be an interesting people watching addition to the mall when the weather is consistently warm. I'll certainly be back as I really liked the ambiance of the place and want to try to food. After the very large basket of chips and margaritas there was just no room for dinner.

After watching Lime come to life from my building across the street, I was excited to visit. A friend was in from out of town and we decided to try it out. The space itself is beautiful, the garage style doors will be amazing in the summer when it opens up to the mall. Being spoiled by the large size of the bar at the neighboring Yardhouse, I was disappointed as we sat at the bar to enjoy drinks and dinner. The disconnect was in the service and the dining experience. The bartender was very involved in discussions with his bar mate and the incredible amount of foul language was unsettling/unnecessary while trying to enjoy a dinner out. The food was also served with no utensils, napkins or plates. Thankfully we were next to the service center at the bar so we could at least reach over for napkins. I might go back but would not certainly not sit at the bar again.

We went here for the bar, so I can't speak for the food or that service, but the experience there was great. The bartender was extremely personable and helpful, even showing us some curiosities like the $150/shot bottle of alcohol. We asked for a drink that he didn't know, and he came back in a few minutes with it anyways--made absolutely perfectly. He gave us a free round of their sauza for being such great guests, and we had a great time here. Would DEFINITELY come back.

Typically I like this place. Decent margs. Happy hour is great! But the service has been sub par. They mess up checks and make no apologies. They forgot drinks, forgot soups, forgot silverware. No apologies. Get it together guys

"Eek! Methinks not." Even though the service was mediocre and the food was average, I feel compelled to write a review for Lime because the waiter "accidentally" added $10 more on to the tip; I'd like to think it was accidental but my copy of the receipt clearly shows the correct amount...does kind of thing happen often? It's never happened to me before ¬_¬ I ate there about a week ago and have called the restaurant several times since, but they haven't yet corrected the error and my credit card is still charged an extra $10 ...hopefully I'll have a reason to update this in the near future, but even then, I definitely don't plan on eating at Lime in the future. The amount of money doesn't concern me, but unscrupulous waiters do. If you do eat here, make sure you check your credit card record afterwards! ***UPDATE: I got my stupid $10 back! (I feel it's only fair that I should mention this.) But still. It's the principle of the thing. Not eating here again.***

Worst service ever. Didn't bring my bfs food...period. Asked how my burrito was, I responded "I haven't tried it yet, I'm waiting for him to get his meal". Still...didn't bring his food. About 15 min after I received my order we flagged her down, explained the basis of that comment, and nicely asked what happened. She brought his meal out almost immediately after, no apology, didn't comp it, nothing. And the mojitos were alllllll syrup. On the bright side- the food was decent. My bfs comment: That place is piss poor. Food wasn't bad. Drinks were sub-par.

So, I like Lime, I really do. I go at least two Tuesday's a month. But here is the problem. I can't seem to make myself go any day of the week besides Tuesday. Tuesday is $1 Taco Tuesday. And while the tacos are great, I can't bring myself to go and pay more than $1 a taco due to the terrible service I get almost every time I go. Here are my issues: 1. You have to make a reservation to go to taco Tuesday, even when it isn't crowded. They like to make people stand and wait up front even with a bunch of open tables. Seems to me like an under staffing issue they should have figured out a long time ago. 2. My friend orders guac almost every time we go. There is a box to check if you want guac. He has gotten his guac 1 out of 3 of the last times he has ordered it. The one time he got it he actually drew an arrow pointing out the fact that he checked the box. 33% isn't a good rate. 3. Can't get the food to the right tables. The time before last we watched the food runner walk around to a bunch of tables besides ours with our queso, and finally give up and go back to the kitchen. We had to point out the fact that we didn't get our queso to get it. Last time, same food runner tries to give our queso to the table next to us instead of us. 4. Lost our order. This week they lost our order, asked if someone else's order was ours, and then made us order again because they couldn't find ours. 5. No special orders on taco Tuesday. You don't want pico? Too bad. Dairy free and you don't want cheese? No can do. Overall, I think, and maybe it is just because I go on Tuesday's, that the servers do not get tipped as well as normal, so they just don't try. I try to tip more than 20% on discounted meals, but sometimes they make it hard. Positives: 1. The food is good. The chips are awesome, but on a side note, they are not free on taco Tuesday so be prepared to pay extra for chips and salsa. Or just order the queso because it is good and you get chips with the queso. 2. They have taco Tuesday! Again, $1/taco. Great deal for downtown. 3. Easy to make reservations online. Overall, I will keep going. And I would recommend it, as long as they knew in advance not to expect good service. And I wouldn't actually recommend going on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday...

This service is awful. Slow. They refuse to split checks. There is no personalized service on their taco Tuesday's. Ordered queso and they didn't even acknowledge that they hadn't brought chips out. Requested salsa. Never got it. Server did not listen.

Margs con tacos! My girlfriends and I had the best time here. I know we weren't the only ones because there was a conga line forming out of the blue. Our server was Anahi and she was very attentive and made sure we never had to go a minute without a margarita. The food was great! the chips were huge and thick, very delicious and the salsa had the perfect amount of kick to it. I ended up ordering the chicken tacos and they had great flavor and were very filling. My girlfriends and I both would recommend Lime if you want a fun night out. You can't go wrong with their drink selection and if you go, request Anahi because she will take great care of you and your friends!

Some great choices in this mall, but we totally fell in love with lime. The restaurant is beautiful, and contemporary design, interesting from all angles. The chips and salsa unique and addicting, and the sw egg rolls were best I ever had, and I love those things. We had two people constantly check in us so an A+ on servers as well.

If I were a bartender, I'd always assume that a shaken margarita is the better option of the two (stirred being the latter of course)... Anyway, I always forget to ask and then feel like an ass for sending it back... The waitress was quick to notice if our waters were low, but forgot about the booze... Shrimp tacos tasted the best, but you're only allowed to have three shrimps per taco... The chicken and beef options were bland and virtually tasteless... The salsa wasn't bad and the chips were interesting... You get a small cup of Guac for the offering price and the sour cream doesn't taste too good in my opinion... Service wasn't anything to write home about, I felt herded rather than welcomed... They've got work to do, but it ain't a long shot, 3/5

The flour tortilla chips here would bring me back again and again, and they even earn this place 4 stars for me. The salsa was great, spicy and not tomato-y. As for my actual meal, I got the corn tamales and I wasn't overly impressed, they were fine but nothing amazing. In my opinion everything needed a bit of salt (but I'm a salt lover by nature). I would really give this place another chance, and I would try the enchiladas, just based on my love of the chips alone! The queso was good too, and during happy hour it's half price I think. It was a very small bowl, but delicious all the same.

The "vibe" in this place is great and the hand-made chips and salsa are absolutely to die for. I have eaten a couple of meals here and have not been overly impressed, but I'm holding out hope. On Tuesday's, tacos are a dollar, and they are a filling and tasty bargain! We have been frequenting Lime for happy hour, which is solid. It is going to be great when the weather warms up because it's got garage door "windows" that open up. Our waitress Dani, served a large party, all with separate checks, for happy hour and appetizers and she was absolutely awesome, and on point. We weren't her only table, and not one of the 16 of us was ever looking for her to order our next drink, or snack. She was super friendly, and gave us exceptional service. The bathrooms and floors are clean, and like I said, the vibe is super cool. If you are going in with a large party, call ahead! Lime is a nice addition to the somewhat boring mexican food options in downtown!

Worst service I've experienced! Went here for dinner before a movie and called ahead to put our name in. They said 10 minute wait and our table should be ready when we got there. When we got there they said it'd be a 15 minute wait longer. After dinner we left for our movie and didn't realize that we left our card there until after the movie. We had already purchased our tickets online so Lime was our last purchase on our card and so our card had to be there. My husband went back to get it and the host said he had to ask his manager even after he pointed out who our server was. He then saw the manager tell the host to "tell them we don't have it" without even looking for it or talking to the server! Then he asked my husband why his eyes were so red and accused him of smoking Marijuana! We will NEVER go here again.

Football in the background (that you can hear) good drinks and food. It's comfortable for a single gal that just wants a strong drink and to watch the game without the sports bar feel. They're also amazing for after work drinks and food.

Came here for the walking dead party on Sundays. Was appalled how bad the service is and $7 blue moons I paid for... On a Sunday. Salsa is weird, can't really describe it either. It's a dark, non spice, no color salsa. Food isn't that great. Menu needs to be revamped. Their margaritas are on point though

Twice we went to Lime this evening and both times greeted by surly hostesses. We were denied access to the bar the first time. The second time, despite a very small number of customers we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

oh my gosh SO good. I've been in Denver for 4ish months so far and this is the first time I've found ceviche, and it was great! Everything was so fresh, the guac wasn't too blended, but nice and fresh with crisp tomatoes and onions. My friend had the grilled fish tacos also awesome. They are on the third floor of the pavilions with an outdoor patio and the inside has the garage doors that open up. We chose not to partake in the margs over a work lunch, but rest assured, I will be back!

The food here is great - specifically the tacos. For the price, which is standard for this type of restaurant, the food is above average. I cannot comment much on service (I have only ordered as takeout), but they have forgotten to add an item or two to my orders, so double check before you leave.

So, I have had mixed experiences at Lime... once was great, a second time was the WORST service I've had (we were there for almost 2 hours for 7 people during lunch on a Friday) and then this time we saw a mouse in the dining room... We went for lunch during the week- everything was fine: food was good, drinks were weak but fine, service was fine, food came quickly. But, after we were done, had paid and were finishing our drinks, my friend pointed across to the area by the windows overlooking the mall and said "I think that's a mouse!" We all looked and sure enough, there was a small mouse hanging out under one of the couches. We alerted a server and he was more scared than we were and so he grabbed someone else and the two of them walked over to the couch, kind of moved it a couple inches and that was the end of their search. They alerted the owner who had a trap in hand less than a min. later and came over and set it down. Not once did anyone apologize. No one tried to find said mouse other than the half-hearted attempt to look under only one of the couches. The owner came over and again didn't apologize but said that the Hard Rock was known to have a mouse problem and while they were under construction it had become a problem for the rest of the Pavilions. He also made a joke about it being the meat for my friend's burrito (that did not go over well). He said he was just being prepared, but I'm pretty sure it's been an issue with as quickly as he had the traps. Ick. So... not likely going back...

What can I say. My now husband and I had planned a wedding for a year and had a hard time finding a place that could handle us. We spent a year with their Events Manager Teresa Lemeaux and planned a spectacular event. Teresa was there from day one and helped us plan an even that had over 150 people in attendance. She coordinated everything down to the cake and DJ arrival. She made sure that we as well as our friends and family were taken care of. She even ordered materials to match out wedding colors when the company they generally use was not able to help out. The decorations were awesome and the food...Well the food was awesome! The staff was kind and friendly and they rocked! They were always asking if they could do anything for us and were willing to go the extra mile! I would say that if you are looking for a sleek urban place to have your party, gathering or just dinner then LIme is it! The view, the staff and Teresa are amazing! Everyone that attended the wedding is looking forward to dinner there! it has been 2 weeks since our wedding and I still keep getting compliments of the venue, food and the fun we had! Thanks Teresa and Lime staff! Ryan Fiore

Pros: Happy hour Taco Tuesdays Flour chips Location, location, location Cons: Bad servers Bad managers Overall poor customer service Usually I sit at the bar, get my food faster that way. Last time I went with a large group so we sat at a table. First of all the bussers were delivering food to all the wrong tables and it took forever. Our server had an attitude, we gave her three strikes and complained. The manager didn't seem like she cared too much and didn't even offer a discount and we had a rather large bill. My whole group works at the same restaurant, positions ranging from bartender, manager and servers and we were all in shock at the horrible service. Usually if you work in a restaurant you are more understanding with wait times but this was just unacceptable.

First of all, I'd like to say that I really wanted to like Lime. I've been there now 4 times, 3 of which were bad...My first experience I was there in a group of four people on Taco Tuesday ($1 tacos). We were charged almost $100 for 12 tacos, two pitchers of house margaritas and a couple guacs/sour creams ($.50 each). When we initially ordered we were told the pitchers were each $10.50, on special for Taco Tuesday. Turns out they were almost $35 a piece. When brought to the manager's attention he was very flippant with the two females in the group and only after much discussion with a male in the group did he take off one pitcher. My second experience was fair. Nothing to complain about, nothing to be wowed about either. My third experience however was the worst yet. Party of two younger women, asking for a table on the patio. Our table was given away while we watched to a group of young business men. When asking the host stand about it, they owned up to forgetting us and sat us at the next open table outside. We asked to transfer our tab from the bar to our table and the host had no idea what that even meant. Once there, with our almost empty drinks the server came up with a trainee, said "Hi. I see you have drinks, what do you want to eat?" We hadn't even been given menus. On a side note, the live DJ must've thought we were in the club on a Saturday night as we couldn't even make conversation due to the outrageously loud and inappropriate music.40 minutes later she reappears with our food (first we'd seen of her since ordering) and the food order was wrong! All of it had to be sent back. We waited another 20 minutes for the right food. At that point we'd gotten so fed up that we asked for a manager. She came over and was very nice and understanding and apologetic. She comp'd our entire meal as well as giving us a gift card and refilling our waters. This week, we decided to try again. I got there early and sat at the bar top where I was promptly served my margarita as well as complimentary chips and salsa. (No chips and salsa any other time.) Once my two friends arrived, we asked to be seated in the dining room. All was going well until we began to get dripped on by the open ducts above us. The table next to us had their food ruined by water drips. When the food arrived, the order was wrong once again. We only once received drink refills, and we needed more than that. We spoke again with the same manager from before and she just said "yeah we can't do anything about the dripping but move your table and I'm sorry and there's obviously nothing I can do to change your mind.... it's definitely the server's fault." Needless to say we 100% will not be back. If you head to Lime I can only suggest sitting at the inside bar and not spending much time.

Pros - not many. The atmosphere. The view of downtown Denver out of the garage door windows, however please put some blinds on them to block out the sun when needed. I had about 15 minutes of my time there where I couldn't see anything because the sun was always in my face. It finally went behind one of the tall buildings of downtown Denver. Cons - many. Homemade chips and salsa that we did not request (which I believe the menu said were complementary but the bill said $7.50) were apparently made with rancid oil or were weeks old. I could only take 2-3 before pushing them aside. Everyone else in my party (11) most likely felt the same way as these were left on the table when we were done. Salsa was a unique/odd flavor (not pleasing) - appeared to be bean based but I am not sure. My meal (tamales) was mediocre. I had a hard time removing the masa from the corn husks that are used as wrappers. I couldn't enjoy the meal because I kept pulling corn husk out of my mouth. No one else in our party mentioned theirs but several left some on their plates indicating it wasn't worth finishing. I did not order an alcoholic drink but about 5-6 of my party did at $6-10 each. Comments I heard indicated that the mixed drinks were "awful strong". Several beers were ordered. No comments mentioned but no refills were ordered either. I had the tea. It tasted as though the container it was kept / brewed in was never cleaned and was starting to go sour. My glass was refilled but I couldn't drink any more. The service was nothing to brag about but I suspect that the other disappointments may have clouded my perception. I didn't feel it was worth the $40 (20%) that was automatically tacked onto my bill. I am not one who agrees that the cost of the food should determine the amount of the tip to leave and I am not a fan of a restaurant telling me how good my service was. Overall I would say that I have certainly had better food and service at a cheaper place. I just walked away feeling somewhat dissatisfied and unfulfilled.

Awful, inattentive service and TERRIBLE food. blegh!! and the servers seemed totally lost! like they had NO IDEA what was going on.

As far as chains go, its pretty straight forward. Better than i thought it was going to be. Our server was the best! Very attentive and genuinely happy in life. I was surprised since i hadn't eaten at a Lime in almost 10 years. not sure about the others, but the pavilions eatery was good.

I rarely wrote reviews, but the staff here was so incredibly rude I felt the need. hopefully management realized that their staff is giving them low ratings because their food is actually pretty good.

Worst experience I've had at a restaurant ever. A shard of glass was in my drink, and then into my tongue. After about ten minutes from alerting the server of what happened, with my tongue bleeding, and asking for a manager, one finally came. Complete lack of empathy and simply said well things happen. He could care less. They gave us drink coupons to make up for it, what so I can drink more glass? No thanks. I knew the service was terrible there, but the management too?! My coworkers and I go every Friday after work and send a lot of our customers there....never again. We only went for the drinks and now that is ruined. We're in the hospitality industry and know how to handle these kinds of situations....they need to figure that out.

While the Taco Tuesday deal might sound like a good one, beware. I have gone twice, and both times, the restaurant has doubled the tip I gave them. Found it on my credit card statement. I will never go back out of principle. If you go, pay in cash.

I know their food is good and margaritas strong on a good night but i have been at this new location 3 times since it opened and each time I did not receive service to eat or drink. I was sat at a table, given a glance from the server and bartender and sat FOREVER... (more than 15min. II brought people with me each time (1-2people) for the margs... I am So SO disappointed because this was one of my favorite restaurants.. I will not go back after 3x not being waited on.. Our check would have been pretty high too but took our business elsewhere:(

Went there for a Denver Petroleum Club function. The tapas and margaritas were great! The bartenders were very friendly and attentive.

I have wanted to try Lime out since they were on Larimer street, but never had the chance . We were waiting to go to a movie and thought we would stop in for a bite to eat. The flour and corn chips are all amazing and the house salsa is very, very good. We had some Queso which turned out to be really good. I ordered the Scorpion platter (their signature shrimp dish) my wife ordered their corn tamale platter. The Scorpions were good, but made me wish I would have ordered the rellenos. The corn tamales were okay but a little dry. The service was fast, the food was okay, I will be giving it another chance. What absolutely blew me away was the wall of windows overlooking the mall- really breathtaking at night.

I do not recommend. We ordered a quesadilla that was supposed to have goat cheese and spinach. It came out with neither. It only had the additional meat we requested. The red hot tamales we ordered didn't come. A vegetarian option came out instead. We had to show the waiter and he apologized and re-ordered us what we originally ordered. The waiter was so nice but the entire order came out wrong. Also, the dj had the music blaring so loud, there was no way anyone could enjoy eating inside. Unless you don't want to speak to who you are eating with at all. We won't be coming back.

This place was by far one of the best restaurants I've been to in the downtown Denver area! The food was absolutely delicious, decently priced, the staff was efficient and polite, didn't have to wait long to order or have our food brought out to us, and the drinks were amazing! Nothing bad to say at all; I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. They were also pretty busy when we got there and the fact that everything flowed pretty smoothly and the great service we received was truly indicative of us having a good experience. Looking forward to go going back again!

The new space has great views of 16th Street Mall and The Pavilions. Once the summer hits, the garage doors will be opened to the nice weather outside and will give the inside an awesome patio feel! Taco Tuesday is still a must and their margs are strong too! Tried their ceviche for the first time. It came out quick and tasted great. Planning on many more happy hours at this location!

I was a big fan of lime. Not so sure I'll come back. Wobbly tables and chairs, had to wait for water when we sat down. Server was not good- I hope it was because he was new. He did not know the menu. Chips too heavy. Get it together, please.

I hosted a corporate cocktail party at Lime for 75 people last month. They were terrific! We had exclusive use of the Hacienda Bar and patio. The staff, the food, the location, the service was all top notch. Not only did we have a bigger turn out than expected, we extended the event as well. They accommodated us with no problem at all. They kept the food and drink flowing! Not only did most of our attendees stay for the duration of the party, those who had to leave to attend other events came back to ours in the long run! Thank you to Teresa, the Event Manager and Leslie and the rest of the Lime staff for making me look like a genius! I hope to have the opportunity to host another event there soon!

I was very disappointed about the whole experience. The service was unprofessional and the waiter was down right rude. They switched waiters on us three times and were not apologetic when everything took so long. It was my sisters birthday so it was a bummer it was such a bad experience.

We were here Christmas night and this place was packed. The hostess was doing everything she could to keep up. This is where I boarder 3 stars. From the front to waitresses they were disorganized. It seemed like the waitress forgot about us. We decided to eat just appetizers because we had a movie to catch in 50 minutes. From the time we placed out order till we got our food was 8-10 minutes. From here till we left is why they received 4 stars. Food arrived quick enough for us to order entrees. The appetizers were large portions that seemed like an entree without sides. And the food was great. I would come back and try the rest.

The service was underperformed only by the food. There's a reason this place has moved from larimer to the pavilions (something we did not realize). Multiple dishes (fish tacos, anything with shredded chicken) came out looking like cat food. There were drunk 60-year-olds dancing obnoxiously next to our table and breaking glasses. The service was some of the worst I've experienced. They never once cleared a plate or a glass unless we pointedly handed it to them, at which time we were met with a scowl. Do not go here, tell all your friends not to go here.

Ive had mixed experiences at Lime. We went for a birthday, and decided to return after our first pleasant experience. Our second experience was anything BUT pleasant. The ENTIRE time we we were there, and ordering a large amount of food for a good number of ppl, mind you, it was hotter in the restaraunt than a damn sauna. We asked the manager several times to turn on the AC, although each time he came up with an excuse. My personal favorite was he said it would take 8 hours to cool off the restaraunt if he turned it on. Our dinner was MISERABLE due to how hot the restaraunt was. Definitely will think twice before picking Lime again.

Went to lime while walking the 16st mall and walked got seated and got served water twice because the second person didn't realize we had water already... Then the chips and salsa were not tasty at all then we finally got a drink menu with MISSING pages lol! We ordered two beers and a fat tire the beers were flat and the fat-tire was disgusting like liquid vomit the worst thing we ever tasted left quite abruptly after that to find another bar to get the horrendous taste out of our mouths! The place is beautiful and in a popular location we were quite shocked how bad the drinks were being called a cantina and all definitely don't recommend the service and drinks are much better at the lucky strikes just down a ways!

The food is 2-3 stars. Nothing too exciting. It is better than fast food mexican...barely. The drinks are why you should be here, although the prices (non happy hour) are exorbitant. 10-12 for a a Moscow Mule? Come on. We went on a saturday evening and there was a 5 person birthday party that was rowdy and the bar staff was doing awesome. Michelle at the back bar was courteous, helpful, and she knows how to pour a drink. She is why this review goes to 4 stars. Other bars in this area are fun but this is secluded enough and in such a great location it is a must. Michelle hooked us up for taco tuesday and we will be back! Go for the tequila!

Came here after the movies, service was great and friendly. Love the list of drinks, I ordered a Moscow mule with orange juice and the carne asada plate. The steak was perfect, the rice and beans verrryyyy good. Will definitely come here again

Nachos were excellent. Had to get multiple orders of chips and salsa because we just could not get enough of them, even when we had the nachos. Service was great. Location was great. Sat overlooking the 16th street mall. The margaritas were outstanding and really pack a punch. Overall made our outing to the 16th street mall a really fun day!!

What a beautiful restaurant! Unfortunately, that's the best thing that I can say about it. We had a party of five that would be pretty low maintenance by any standard. Our waiter was terrible at best. It might have been his first job, but I don't get the impression that the management cares enough about the reputation of the place to ensure that he either gets better, or gets lost. The food was mediocre and I've had better Mexican at local dives. I ordered carne asada cooked medium and got well done. It was a poor interpretation of carne asada. After dinner, we were held hostage as it took longer to pay the bill than it did to eat. No wonder that the place is empty. Avoid at all costs.

Definitely glad the new space is finally open. Beautiful looking place. The hostess said the wait was about 30 minutes so we opted for the bar. There was a large group of rowdy frat dudes and the music was a little loud but kind of expected at the bar. Drinks were great. The bartender (who we found out was the bar manager) apologized and said they just got slammed and said she'd make it up to us by buying us a round. I had the grilled fish tacos and my wife had the chicken tinga tacos. 1st, the flavor of the tacos were great. Sweet with some heat. It did seem a little over stuffed so it made them a bit messy. The black beans made the corn tortillas fall apart and made it more messy. The only thing I didn't care for was the beans and rice. Very bland and un tasteful. I didn't even finish them. My wife felt the same way. She very much enjoyed her tacos though. Despite the small manageable issues, it was a pretty pleasurable experience. Great selection of tequilas. If you go in ask for a recommendation of a decent tasting tequila and don't just order shots to do shots. Spend the money and enjoy the good liquor. The food is a good copilot to the drinks. I would like to go down during a week night when it's not full of fresh young 21yr olds.

Great location, awesome decor, and looking forward to the roll up windows in the bar to open up during the summer. I give this place 4 stars during happy hour for value and ambiance (Dani in the bar was a great server), $3 margaritas and on taco Tuesday, $1 tacos. I did go in for lunch though and the service was spotty, and the food average at best.

After months and months of seeing the construction signs for this place, I am excited it has finally opened and made a name for itself at that! Don't be deceived by their 3rd floor location at the Pavillions, the place is huge. There is a cool bar called the Cantina in front, which is perfect for happy hour and apps. There is also a fully stocked bar in the main dining area, and the atmosphere in there is just killer. I really love the glass garage doors that open up in warm weather and expose you to a great view of the 16th Street Mall. My only complaint is that Lime is only "worth it" during happy hour. They have a great deal on margaritas, but if you come after 6, your drinks will usually outweigh the prices of your main entrees. This is a really cool addition to the Denver PavilIons!!

The space is huge and very nice. The wait staff seemed a little confused and disorganized but nothing terrible. The complimentary chips were so good, they are the puffy home style tortilla chips and I loved them. For my main course I had chicken tacos with corn tortillas. The serving size was huge and came with beans and rice that were pretty bland. The tacos had a good flavor but the chicken was odd, not really sure how else to describe it besides odd. My boyfriend had a steak burrito and he likes it. The raspberry mojo to and strawberry frozen margarita were perfect. I would go back for the chips and drinks if nothing else.

The main reason for the low rating is the service. We were excited to try this restaurant with the cool branding and the enticing theme of a tequila bar. We're in from out of town and this looked like a fun place to enjoy some time. We asked the hostess to be seated where all the entertainment was, near the large garage doors and fun looking bar letting in all of the sunlight. She rejected all of those requests stating the area was full, so instead she sat us in the middle of an empty dining area. We felt cold and out of place. We took it upon ourselves to look at the bar area and see plenty of open seats despite the hostess saying they were all full. We asked another hostess to move us. She came over and said that the only area available would be a table that surrounds a pillar and we "would have to look at the pillar the whole time." She made us feel like idiots, and if that table is so horrid, why even have it at all? Because we were anxious for a drink, which they still hadn't offered at this point, we ignored the hostess, went to the bar and found 3 perfectly available seats, and plenty of open tables behind us. The bartender Charlie had the only inviting personality and saved our experience with good drinks and conversation. Every other server looked miserable. Service at this place needs some work!

So much better than their old location. This location is clean and bigger. You can look out over the 16th street mall. There is a dinning and bar area. The beef tacos were fresh and tasty. The pico was hot spicy. The chips looked home made and were good. The service was fast and good. We'll be back.

Wandered into Lime while stranded in Denver for 2 days after our last flight was canceled. Sat at a table next to the window over looking the Mall. I love places with lots of windows, lots of light, but not too bright. Tequila and Margarita were truly superb. Karina took good care of us, and arranged for a a half order of nachos. I dont like to be served too much. There are a lot worse places to be waylaid for 2 days than Denver, and Lime on the 16th Avenue Mall is just one of the reasons why.

Went for taco Tuesday with the work crew and it was cheap but not great. I asked for a grilled fish taco instead of breaded to meet my gf needs and I was told the kitchen was too busy even though it was something on their regular menu. Also, I asked for corn chips to go with the salsa instead of their signature flour and they never brought them. When they finally brought all of the tacos we ordered they fell apart. The ground beef was the best of the ones we ordered and seasoned well. The waitress was good at refilling drinks without us asking but that was about it. Overall, they did not inspire me to come back for a regular meal.

Went to Lime with my family for Mother's Day and my birthday and had INCREDIBLE service. We go out to dinner often and I personally am very critical of the service we receive and we could not have had better service. Our server was very attentive and charming and our food was delicious!

Our first visit was this weekend and so glad we decided to stop in (after a movie). Two of us are gluten free people and they had plenty of choices for us. We were extremely pleased about that. Had the ceviche and it was awesome! Would definitely order that again. Can't wait to come back during work week to hit their happy hour. This new location really classes up the 16th Street Mall as far as restaurant choices.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
