Popped by here on a Saturday afternoon around ~3pm. The inside had ample guests, though the patio is what we were looking for. It was empty, which was wonderful, though we still had servers coming out to check on us. Love the astroturf and ample seating options. There's also a second level deck, which we have yet to be on, but have seen packed before Rockies games. Also discovered that Saturday nights are ladies nights from 9-1230. Free good quality liquors and so we'll definitely be back!!

Do you think you should be able to get drunk off of $83.00 worth of drinks? Half off Moscow mules on Mondays... Except you have to order two times what you would normally order (and end up spending the same amount of money) because they're so weak. I don't like to complain about the strength of drinks, but I seriously ordered multiple mules, a shot, and a few wells and didn't feel anything. I don't drink often and am not a huge person physically, and I have gone to other bars and ordered less drinks and felt much more. Between my boyfriend and I, we spent around $83 on drinks, and found that the beers were stronger than any of the mixed drinks we got. I've been here on a weekend night and had a blast - the unlimited drinks for $5 were great, but I would not recommend coming during their happy hour if you want to feel any type of buzz. Also, our waitress could not answer any of our questions about how much draft beers were vs craft beers or other questions related to price/type of beer. She could have been new, but either way, I would make sure to know the basics before serving customers.

Great location, large interior. On hot days they have air circulation but are a bit stingy with the air conditioning, so when inside I continued to sweat. I enjoyed the super friendly service, noted that the bar top and floors were a bit sticky and needed a wipedown/mop something fierce. They have a wide-ranging beer selection and served it up ice cold which almost made up for the lack of cold air... I noticed that the clientele can be a bit on the douchey side but then again this is a sports bar in downtown Denver.

Jackson's is a Top of the line Gators bar located in Downtown Denver right across from Coors field, making it a perfect pre-game spot for a Rockies game or Gators Game. They have a ton of televisions, 2 stories, with a cool Open rooftop patio W a nice view of the Denver skyline. On Saturday's, this place is the official spot for the Denver Rocky Mountain Gators Club with all TV's on the gators game on 2nd floor, a blow up Albert gator, tons of gator flags, gators banners, and a cable that a gator slides down after each touchdown. I was blown away to see that this place is bigger and better decorated than the gators club's official bar in Tampa, Florida which is only an hour and a half from the university in a town with much more Gators. Prices were pretty average for the area with Blue moon pitchers for $10, Coors pitchers for $7, mixed drinks for $5, burgers for $10. I was surprised to see a pickle juice pitcher which is for a pickle back which is a Jameson chased with pickle juice. Everything was very good and service was surprisingly quick for how packed the place was. Once the bartender threw away my drink by accident and without hesitation or argument he gave me another full blue moon which was more than I had when I threw it away, so I can't complain. They had gator Cornhole, shuffleboard, and a cool brew bucket game. Awesome venue! I'll be telling the Tampa Gators Club about this for sure! Go Gators! :)

Cool sports bar with decent food but I kept looking an attractive bartender or waitress. It seems like everyone of these bars in Denver cannot find a halfway decent looking girl to work in these places! If you're looking for a solid four and looks I highly recommend this place

I like this place a lot and the staff is upbeat throughout the day. How they pull it off is beyond me. You'll pay a little more for being within a stone's throw from Coor's Field. However, the menu items and beer are not ballpark prices. Great for pre-gaming and the after party alike. I'd go back again and again. Gets crowded pretty quick so good thing they also have the deck out back to entertain!

I had some friends in town for the Broncos game, we were looking for a good place after dinner and walked by Jacksons and decided to get a drink. Cassandra was the bartender working the front bar and she was awesome. The music was great and Cassandra was super cool and made sure we were having a great time. The wings were awesome and the crowd was a little younger but I would definitely roll through.

Average sports bar. French dip was good with chibatta bread which was a nice addition. Fries are great and so are the sweet potato waffle fries :)

Perfect sports bar (especially for a Steelers fan)! There are TVs everywhere, three rooms (the back room dedicated to Steelers games making it a haven for any Western PA transplant), skee ball and an outdoor patio. The staff has always been friendly and attentive in my experience even during busy sports days. They usually have good drink specials (domestic pitchers for $10 or Agave Wheat drafts for $4). The food is okay, better than an average sports bar but not 5-Star worthy either. Sign up for free on the Jackson's app to play "football bingo." Just log-in and the game keeps track of your squares for you -- when players/teams compile stats you get closer to a bingo. They award 3 prizes per half and prizes include free drafts, shots and collectible jerseys. I won a throwback Donnie Shell Steelers jersey during this Sunday night's Pittsburgh-Carolina game!

I've only been to Jackson's a total of three times during the 15 months I've lived in Denver. Once for a Chamber event, once for Opening Day, and once for Lunch this past week. Did you know Jackson's has a delicious snackie menu made fresh to order!? I certainly did NOT! Fried Pickles, Cheese Curds, Pigs in a Blanket, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Pizzas, Wings, Philly Cheesesteak, and I could keep going! While a downtown Denver-goer may read this and ask "So? That's sports bar food." WRONG! Jackson's has actually done an amazing job of bringing in quality ingredients and creating multiple bursts of flavors on each bite! I am obsessed with their Philly! Oh and their Ranch Dressing - my favorite yet... ever!! But here's the kicker that truly shocked me... they have private dining spaces throughout the restaurant that I was completely unaware of! I accidentally stumbled upon one space, so I asked to see more. Equipped with AV, multiple table configuration possibilities, indoor & outdoor seating, private bars, etc. I was very impressed. Too bad I just had my wedding in Saint Louis! This is perfect for a Rehearsal Dinner or a baseball fan's Wedding dream (as it is located across the street from Coors Field)! Apparently they have separate banquet menus too... I didn't get that far, but they said they did not mirror their regular menu, rather offered a variety of upscale entrees & accompaniments to choose from! I don't know, but I was totally blown away by such an unexpected find. I really can't think of another spot downtown that can be a Corporate Luncheon location by day, Rehearsal Dinner venue by evening, and Sports Bar by night... all properly accommodated in different rooms around the restaurant! Who would've known!?

Jackson's is always a good pre-Rockies game hangout. Good beer on tap and in bottles and usually a beer special of some kind.

Nice place to meet friends for a drink after work. The location is fun and the wait staff were quick and friendly. I met some friends there after work and we had drinks and appetizers. We ordered boneless wings and the queso dip. The wings were really good, but the queso dip was really disappointing. First, it was really thin, almost watery. Then it tasted like it had been burned. We did not finish that one, it was gross. We would go back but not for the queso dip.

Jackson's is your classic sport's bar. It's located literally right across the street from Coors Field, I'm guessing there are more than 100 TVs spread throughout the place, it's got old school arcade games, multiple levels and if you're in the mood for that kind of place it's a ton of fun. You can rent the upstairs out for parties, roof deck included. They have a special every time I'm in there even Friday and Saturday nights, and it's huge so you can have big groups, you can meet people, tailgate for a baseball game, whatever it is you need to do. I would say the only flaw is that it can be very loud (TV or music volume) even for early games on Saturday and Sunday, and unfortunately if it's nice out there aren't a lot of good TV viewing areas outside, but hey what are ya going to do. The food is very good for a bar of this stature, I've had a few different dishes and have yet to be dissatisfied.

  • Ryan S.

Horrible. The food is way overpriced and way under-delivered. The staff is ok, but it seems they don't know any better, and are trying to make a living. The place is busy, because of its location, but a total failure. For a sports bar that should be a flagship across the street from a ballpark, I can't imagine anything worse. It's big, that's great because you can find a seat, and they didn't mess up my Coors Light, but they upcharged me for salsa, SALSA, for the nachos, the wings are really bad, and it's all-in-all a volume s based store where they know they'll get revenue on game days. Too many other good choices to go back.

Jackson's is a great bar located across the street from Coors Field. We love getting to the game early and parking in their lot. It's a bit more expensive than other parking but it is so close to the stadium. Plus, we can do a little pre-game drinking before we head into the stadium. Their food is very good as well. We visit even when it's not a game day. It's a large establishment, so there is plenty of seating. We have always received good service. They offer games throughout, so the kids love it! I just love Jackson's. I highly recommend it for a night out with friends or a pre-game or after game gathering.

Needing a place to go watch multiple games, this is the place. My boyfriend and I had the ongoing issue of both of our football teams on at the same time. I want to give a shout out to our waitress Heather R. She was so patient with us on our demands of getting our games on and handling our coupons. She was fantastic. Food was delicious. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich with a caesar salad. Chicken sandwich needs to be a little smaller as the sandwich falls apart instantly. But other than that great place to watch a game.

Bar is located right outside Coors Field and they do not stiff you on drinks. They always have cool promotions going on. Bartenders were very friendly and welcoming. Came here a couple of times while we were attending ballgames.

I definitely understand this review won't apply to everyone but I'm pretty amazed at how unaccommodating this place was. Our server didn't think I looked old enough to drink despite the fact that I presented my ID. I showed four credit cards and offered to have the police officer at the door check my ID and manager politely declined and said they just didn't feel comfortable serving me. If they are this sensitive about who they serve, buy an ID scanner. Side note: they messed up 2 of our 4 orders. Probably because the waitress was stoned. Other than that, cool place.

Great location, friendly staff, typical bar food... I usually end up at Jacksons before or after a Rockies Game. The staff is usually very friendly and they have some pretty good drink specials. The food is slightly above average, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but the food is palatable.

  • Cyndi J.

I can only speak to the staff, the ambiance, the drinks, and the setting. We bellied up to the bar a few hours before the Rockies game and were treated to friendly, fun service on the rooftop patio, great drinks, and a birds-eye view to people watch. We got there about 45 minutes or so ahead of the crowd, so we had prime bar seats. The place was full by the time we left for the game. Brian, our bartender, was friendly, fun, and seemed to love being there. The same goes for the rest of the servers and the security staff - they all presented themselves as friends/family. It was clear that the people who own this place really care about the customer experience.

Showed up pre Rockies game. Wanted to have a beer and chill, but waitress was weak(stef), they didn't validate there yelp check in offer, nor offer any fun. Place is weak. Save yourself some time. GO ELSEWHERE! Seriously.

Great atmosphere for game day. Lots of TVs including table side personal TVs, decent bar fare and drink specials. Their Jackson's game app make the game even more fun! Roof top views if you want to be outside!

Sports bar with bad beer, bad service and bad food. Gave it 3 stars as some people like bud lite and specials on vodka red bull.

  • Maureen E.

This might be a good place before a game, but not for a fun Saturday night. The bartenders were great but the rest of the staff was awful. The were like glorified busboys with Walkie-talkies. They were constantly taking glasses that still had beer in them and when called on it they threatened to throw us out. When we got up to leave they made fools of them selves and waved at us and called us sweetie. What a bunch of tools! Too many other places to go and have fun.

Yes, I know Jackson's Sports Rock (simply called Jacksons by everyone) is right next to Coors Field and is optimal for drinks and lunch before a game, but oh man, I absolutely dislike this bar for so many reasons! I wish Bar Rescue would come here and give the owners a much-needed kick in the ass as I find their food to be very generic and bland, their staff to be undertrained and quick to be irritated for any number of reasons and their layout to be confusing. With a market given their location to be so much more, Jacksons has resorted to relying simply on Coors Field to bring in business. I'm hopeful the new View House along with LoDos and Downtown Tavern will cause Jackson's "Hole" to dig themselves out of mediocrity and to take pride in the product the customer pays for. I'd suggest the next time the management walk 400 yards to the bathrooms in the far, far back like we do they'll read this review and make some much needed changes. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere!

This was by far the worst dining experience of my life. The place is filthy. We sat down to a table and there were 6 of us. The waitress didn't come to our table for about 25 minutes. When she did we ordered drinks. The drinks took another 20 minutes and the brought them out one at a time over a period of over 1/2 hr. They said that since we were getting separate check the had to do it this way. We hadn't asked for separate checks. We were finally asked for our order after being there for over an hour. The food came out in different orders like the drinks and one order never came out. We asked to talk to the manager and when he came out he had no clue. We told him to cancel the order that did not come out. But about 15 minutes later he delivered it and said we wouldn't be charged for it. He also said he would comp us 25% on total bill. We waited another 1/2 hour to get our ticket but finally had to hunt down the waitress. It then took another 15 minutes to get the ticket. Guess what. They did not take off the one meal and did not give us the 25% off. The food was at most average. This experience will also show up on Twitter & facebook so more people will see how our experience turned out.

Jackson's is a sports bar...there's tons of TV's so you can always watch whatever game you are looking for. Service is usually pretty good. The last time I was there they wouldn't give the wifi password which I thought was really odd. Food is pretty good for bar food. We usually go there to watch Bronco's games. They have fun Bronco's bingo and drink specials. Check it out next time you're downtown!

Let me start by saying I never did get past the front door so I really don't know what the staff inside was like, nor did I experience the food or service. I only got to meet the bouncer at the door who had a God complex. Because Jackson's employs a person like this, I will never spend a dime with them! Background: My friends and I start out with a shared Bachelorette/Bachelor party with 35 people for dinner and drinks at a different restaurant. The dinner was awesome and set the mood for a fun night ahead. After dinner the girls and guys split up and head out for some drinks and dancing. The girls decide to start the night at Jackson's because they have a band and it's Ladies night. Four of the girls arrive first and get inside no problem. The next group of 7, who are with me, show up and we get in line to show our IDs to the bouncer to prove we are old enough to drink. (Mind you every person in both the Bachelor and Bachelorette party are 30+ years old, most married with kids, and some are cops or cops wives. So it's not like we are a big threat...). I am standing in line a few girls back and three with Colorado ID's get thought just fine. The friend in front of me is visiting from South Carolina. The bouncer takes the South Carolina ID from my friend and looks at it, then takes his flashlight and shines it on the back and the front. Then he begins bending the ID in half. In the mean time my friend pulls out her Military ID that she uses to get on base to do her job and hands it to him. Both forms of ID should surely be enough, right??? Nope, then the bouncer proceeds to ask her what the green stripe on her government ID means, and starts trying to peel the film cover off the ID. My friend gets upset and tries taking her ID back because she does not want them ruined. The bouncer then tells her that she can't come in unless she apologizes to him. Okay, so let me preface this with, my fiend is 5 foot and weights 90lbs maybe. She is not a threat to the 6 foot 215lbs bouncer. So anyway, in trying to keep the night going, my friend apologizes for trying to take her ID back. The bouncer being a smug, responds "that is not that I want you to apologize for, I wanted you to apologize for grabbing the ID from my hand". He then to proceeds to say that real IDs don't have that film and that hers must be fake. I guess that he should talk to the state of South Carolina and the US Military to make sure they know how he expects to see IDs. Anyway, we ended up taking all 15 girls to another place and later meeting back up worth the guys there. Jackson's really missed out last night due to employing people who care more about at the door who don't know must not like anyone visiting from out of state. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

Lots of fun! 9-12 Friday girls drink for $5 and guys $15. We also ate and the food was really good! Pizza was VERY greasy (oil sitting in the plate and dripping off) but other than that good. Waitress not so good at the beginning but she got better.

Jackson's Sports Bar really understands the bar business. They are one of the best in the area. The beers are always cold, service is great and the food is good. We love to go before and after a game for food and drinks. We love the burgers and friend pickles. They have a great patio area and can always accommodate big groups. If you haven't tried Jackson's, it is a must if you are in the Lodo area.

Right by the ball park and other downtown locations, they have a great rooftop patio with bags and a few other games. The service was lacking and the food was just average. I had the wings this time, which have a very weird taste for being buffalo wings. I wouldnt get them again. My wifes burger looked like it was from a frozen patty and had Mcdonalds quality. I guess it depends on what you want from a bar/ restaurant downtown. I like the patio, and would likely go back just to visit the patio and play games and have a beer, but I dont think I would eat here again.

  • Daniela B.

Laid back space and good food for descent prices, friendly service and terrace seats. For some reason, despite living quite close, we had always passed straight by this place. We went today a few hours after the Rockies game ended so it wasn't too crowded. All the burgers can be substituted by chicken and chicken can be breaded and fried or grilled. I had the buffalo grilled chicken sandwich and my husband a spicy grilled chicken sandwich. They both came with fries in a deliciously glaced bun. Sitting outside was nice but smoking is allowed so you may want to try the roof instead. There is a good selection of beers too with some monthly specials. They had Linenkugels shandy which was very refreshing for a hot evening

The worst. We went for a comedy show and left before the end. The headliner was a no show. The act they put in his place was only mildly funny, had seen him as a warm up the week before. The venue sucked as the hockey game on tv outside was louder than the comics. The beer was extremely expensive. The staff was rude but maybe I should have listened when I asked where the comedy show was at and they told me the comics hadn't shown up yet. I just thought I was early. Over all, total disappointment. Wasted over $70 for a couple of beers and a show, was home before 10. Epic fail but at least I got a good nights sleep.

We came at a time when the place was very slow, so I think it was at its best. The waitress was extremely polite and attentive, and the food was pretty good for a sports bar. I would definitely be cautious about going when it's busy, but when it's not, it's a wonderful place to stop!

Jackson's is the place downtown for College football if you're a fan. I love going there and seeing all the booster clubs congregate and have fun! Good Micro brews are overpriced hence the -1 star rating, but beyond that it's a really cool place with a very good vibe.

Its a great location being right next to Coors Field. That was about where it ends for me. We stopped in for a fun alumni evening to watch a little bball with friends. We had a table pretty quickly with the rest of our group. After ordering drinks, we waited, and we waited, and we finally got the drinks. Great! Ok, its just a little busy perhaps or maybe they just don't have enough staff for the night. So we order food. No problems ordering. Next step, drink a delicious beer. Nope.... beer was flat, and really old. I'm no brew-master, but I do know what I like and I can tell the difference between most of the major beers. I've never had a Stella that tasted this bad. It was horrible.... just horrible. Rather than be a jerk and ask for something different, I just drank it. Food comes, I ordered nachos. They tasted really good, but the chips were literally like half a tortilla in size. They were so hard to eat and just made it messy. What the hell ever happened to normal size chips?!?! It comes time to pay, we wait for our bill. We look around, finally find a different waitress than our own, and ask her for our bill. From the time we started waiting for our bill, to the time we finally got it, paid, and left, it was well over 30 minutes. It was soooo frustrating. Service: 1-star Food: 4-star Beer: 1-star

Ive walked by Jacksons for years and never went inside. Well that was a mistake. This place is awesome. Good Beers. Lots of seating. They have Video Games and a back area with booths that seems largely untouched. An Upstairs patio and I love the outside area with the Astro Turf. Some Golf Clubs would be nice for putting. Though the Bartender on the patio thinks it would be a bad idea because of Drinking and Golf Balls and Golf Clubs. Not sure who orders a Salad at a Bar but one patron did and it looked awfully tasty plus they serve Batch 19 Prohibition Beer.

Awesome place to go on the weekends. They have the best weekend drink specials. We always make sure to take full advantage and stop here first. I have not ate here but the food smells pretty good. They have a bar setup downstairs, upstairs they have a club setting inside and patio bar setup outside so its perfect for whatever atmosphere your looking for. The staff is friendly and always takes care of business when people want to start acting sloppy. Drinks are on point and they play a variety of music, what more can you ask for?

I am always hesitant to hit up lodo for a day of football. Still, you get so many options of different games to watch so it was hard to pass up this past Sunday. Jackson's has plenty of space and televisions. The sound is good and they actually play around with the music so when the Broncos get a touch down you get that blast of victory tunes. A nice touch! The food was very mediocre and the brews were cheap. Our waitress was friendly and actually followed football. Big points there. I'm giving this place three stars because while my experience was decent I left the place with very, very little desire to ever return. It's just not my cup of tea but others may like it.

This place has not changed much over the years. Well, it does seem somewhat dirtier, danker, darker, and dingier . . . but that is not why people come here. People come here to drink, drink some more, have some decent food, and mostly because of location, location, location. This last Saturday I came here with a couple friends. It would not have been my first choice. I took advantage of the drink specials for Florida fans (not my team, but a special is a special, and these Orange clad party people seemed more easygoing and less obnoxious than many groups of sports fans). My beer was cold, and the waitress even put the pitcher on ice so that it would stay that way. My burger was okay (the big Kahuna with teriyaki, pineapple, etc). My fries were decent. I tried the nachos that a friend ordered and there was something going on with the cheese. They claimed it was processed, and I am not sure. But in a few minutes it turned into some form of orange plastic tortilla coating. Anyway, the beer and service were both good.

Came here for a networking event (Summer Toast!) so I can't speak to the food or drinks too much. I will say that this bar is really large! I was surprised by how much space there was - we kept finding more rooms and stairs to different spots! Looks like a standard sports bar - lots of seating, lots of standing room, lots of tvs!

TV's !! Lots of them! Everywhere. There's even a TV in the floor at the top of the entry steps to let you know you can watch the game--everywhere. I went to Jackson's yesterday evening for the 303Network Event. This place is HUGE, nicely designed and ready to host any Sportsfan's game watching. Will I be back?? Oh yes-- yes

I'm not a big downtown girl, but I came with some friends looking to cut loose last night. They run a lady's night special here that is just killer - $5 cover gets you free drinks from 9-12 with your choice of beer, vodka, rum, or whiskey! The place was unsurprisingly a zoo and a meat market, but the bar service was surprisingly attentive given how busy they were and I LOVED the rooftop patio - great place to stay cool while dancing the night away!

This place is all about the location, location, location! Great place to hang out and get a drink before a Rockies game... Great view... It can get a bit busy (obviously) but there's feeling right before a game starts that you can only get at Jackson's, maybe a sense of hopefulness..maybe its the alcohol.... maybe its a little bit of both.. It's fun and definitely a part of the game day experience. There are a number of bars all around, inside, outside, lots of opportunity to get drinks... 2 levels... They have a summer concert series that takes place on the stages at the top level, bean bag toss on the first level... Wish the ladies bathroom was cleaner, and that they fix the door locks on them..(it's the little things) Still a great place to grab a snack, had their hummus and pita, wasn't bad... Drinks were decent and at a fairly decent price too, it's definitely our 'to-go' place for drinks before a game.

After driving from Fort Collins in the wonderful I-25 traffic we arrived for the Rockies game to find out we left out tickets at home. Huge, HUGE disappointment. Decided to go across the street to Jackson's Pub before we started our journey back north. So glad we did, they have great service and were so great. We forgot about how upset we were with forgetting our game tickets. We will be back to this establishment. Hopefully, we will not forget our game tickets again.

This is a great place to watch football games. We were there for the Broncos game Sunday night. It was a very up beat , they had a great DJ and drink specials. The chicken wings were really good too. I would go back here again..

Meh is what comes to mind about Jacksons. We came here before a Rockies game. + lots of open seating + decent prices - fish sandwich was more like a bread sandwich with a little fish - service was SLOW - not a lot of food options with the game day menu

Spent a couple afternoons pre-Rockies/Yankees games here. Decently priced drinks, food, and can't beat the location for a quick trip to Coors Field. The place is absolutely enormous but on game days it seemed to be like pulling teeth to get a table. It was crammed but we still got awesome service--even while wearing Yankees garb. People can be assholes in some cities if you're wearing the opposing team's stuff, but not Denver. Why are you so cool, Denver? For real, Denverites are the best. Coors Field pre-game spot, but I don't know if I would attend otherwise. Awesome for what it is!

This bar's main attraction is the location. Right by the baseball stadium, it's both awesome and sucky because of this. Mostly it sucks after/before/during a game when the place is packed. However, if you just wander in on a non-game day this place can be pretty sweet to get blitzed in.

  • Peter M.

Not a bad spot for catching a game, though if the Rockies are playing across the street on a weekend, this place can be a zoo. Plenty of options on tap, and a full compliment of other booze, so you are covered from a 'my life sucks, hey I bet the solution is at the bottom of this glass' standpoint. My only criticism is that they occasionally charge a (small) cover to get in, even when it is nearly deserted.

We stopped by here before a Rockies' game, as it is located across the street from Coors Field. Atmosphere is pretty good, great beer selection, and a pretty good selection of food. It was Happy Hour, I think it was about $8.00 for 2 beers. When I checked in on Yelp, they offered a 50% of appetizer during happy hour, so that was a bonus. I had the nachos and they were decent. Would have preferred pickeled jalapenos instead of raw jalapenos. My friend had the gyro and was happy with the meal. Service was great and were more than helpful.

  • Kalani F.

Ok, I know this is probably first and foremost a game-day bar for the Rockies, but seriously, no happy hour specials??? Who has a bar downtown without happy hour specials? Jackson's! As evidence, no one, and I mean no one was in the bar when I showed up at 5 pm. Not a soul but the waitstaff. So weird. The food is typical standard bar fare, nothing exciting. Drinks are so-so. Not a bad bar, but for the location it could be so, so much more. Waitstaff was ok. Nothing stellar.

Nothing beats $5 girls/$10 guys open bar on thursdays from 9-12! Granted its just domestics and wells, its a great place to go and the bartenters are very friendly. Do not go there if you have a fake id, I repeat, DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE A FAKE ID, they'll take it away in a second, its rumoured that the bouncers get $90 for each id they take away. Great bar, hit it up before/during/after a rockies game!

I don't know what is wrong with the staff at this place. Over the last few years, I have been to this bar 10+ times, and every single time I run into a server (or bartender) in need of an attitude adjustment. I am typically part of a costumed pub crawl, so maybe that's the trigger, but just once I'd like to receive some exceptional service here! With that said, I actually do enjoy this place. The food is decent, the bar is big, and they have an awesome rooftop right across from Coors Field. It's not my first choice for a sports bar in Lodo, but it certainly isn't my last.

I have been here quite a few times over the past decade and it is a downtown sports staple. After being completely turned off by the over stuffed, yellow and black, smoky (gross) crowd at another local favorite sports bar, my group ventured to Jackson's in hopes of securing someplace to actually sit down. There was ample seating for the final NFL playoff games. The staff was happy and generous. The bar food is decent. I like hot wings, and these were spicy and juicy. We got a sampler platter which had a great variety from the appetizer menu. The fried jalapeno bits were actually really good (and hot). The fried cheese on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. blech, but overall good food for the prices. Pitchers of beer for $4. Yea man! I'll be back. Consistency - it's what's for dinner.

Went in on a Sunday to watch football and it was a huge place. They had a ton of TV's! Had some pretzels with mustard and cheese and they were yum! Some chips and salsa which were also good. For lunch we all had burgers and they were pretty good. Only downfall, no Frank's Redhot. I had a great bloody Mary as well! Good times for football Sunday!

A good sports bar downtown...my choice for a burger before a game.

Great sports bar next to Coors field. The place is huge - very deceptive from the outside. Good food, beer specials, and an entire section of the bar dedicated to the Steelers game. Go Steelers!

I've always been a little hesitant to venture to Jackson's because it is always jam-packed during game days. However, now having checked it out a few times this summer, Jackson's is A-OK in my book. Chill, sports bar atmosphere, right across the street from the baseball field. You can't beat that! Relatively cheap drinks, but terribly expensive bar food. I'm confident most of the prices here are higher than at the ball park. Oh well, the Buffalo wings are delicious. :) Overall, not my favorite place downtown, but certainly not a bad option. I'll definitely be back in the future.

When I walk into a place and it smells like 150 people are all simultaneously passing gas, you lose a star. Literally smelled like rotten eggs throughout the whole bar. But we sat down anyway to catch the second half of a football game. Someone came up to us when they saw us aimlessly wandering around looking for the game we wanted to watch and he told us to have a seat and changed the channel on a tv for us, that was nice. Our server was actually really friendly which is surprising since it was a Sunday afternoon and we weren't ordering tons of booze. He was attentive the whole time and refilled my coke every time it got close to empty. There were $1 mimosa's from 10am-2pm but they extended the deal to all day while we were sitting there. There was also a special for $4 pitchers of Coors Light. Since the Broncos were playing at home they had a free shuttle for all the patrons which seemed to leave every 15 minutes or so. The "DJ" also kept advertising their bloody marys. They sounded like the most disgusting thing ever. 5 shots of vodka, a celery stick, a skewer of bacon and a hard boiled egg thrown in for good measure (WAS THAT THE SMELL?!). We also ordered the nachos with chicken which were okay, but REALLY overpriced ($11.98). They were the type of nachos where all the toppings are stuck to the 10 chips at the top of the plate and then all the chips underneath are left naked and dry. There was maybe 2 tablespoons worth of beans, a few jalapenos, 5 or 6 olive slices, some tomato and green onion, and 2 tablespoons each of guac and sour cream. Topping amount/distribution was a total fail. I'll be back, once it stops smelling like a giant Dutch Oven.

Had the best service today from Marshelle. She wrmt above and beyond for my friend and I. We come to Jackson's for every game and we'll only ever sit in her section from now on.

I was there on a non Rockies game night so the place wasn't too packed, luckily. Very large space, seems like a great sports bar. Didn't have any food, only drinks. One of the bartenders was rude but then I relocated and got a really nice bartender. That is all. Sorry for the boring review. I'll work on stepping up my wit game tomorrow.

The customer service here is funny, outgoing, laid back, and purrrty! They make everyone who enters their doors/patio welcome. Located smack dab next to Coors Field, this sports bar/grill has the food and drink favorites you crave during a warm afternoon, sports event, happy hour, and hanging with the buds. Sit outside in the patio, the view of the ball park, downtown architecture, and local pubs. Sports events here are so lively and packed. Great mingling here! Ladies if you exit the back patio stairs, watch your step, a couple girls ate it.. Ouch! Note to self, men make girls fall at Jackson's ;) Luv coming here to support the VT Hokies!!! You have to chow down on the following: -Garlic Parmesan Wings -Marinated Steak Kabobs -The Gyro -All the beer

If you're an Oregon Ducks fan, or a Virginia Tech fan, this is the place to watch football! It can be really fun to watch your team play while surrounded by fellow fans. They have great deals on drinks and pitchers during games too, which is awesome. But other than that, Jackson's is just ok for me. The food is just not that great. It's bar food, sure, but it's just ok...I only eat here if i'm starving. The wait staff is great though, they do a great job during games. There are lots of TVs around, but they are pretty kinda small for the space so you need to make sure you're positioned to see one of the bigger TVs so you can really see what's going on. But cheering along with everyone else, or feeling the pain of defeat with everyone else, is definitely nice. Good comradery.

I came to Jackson's for NYE with 3 of my girlfriends to ring in 2014! We paid $60 for unlimited top-shelf drinks (Jim Beam, Grey Goose, Bacardi) from 8p-1a and an unlimited buffet from 8p-11p. I noticed that the bartenders were serving UV vodka sometimes instead of the advertised Grey Goose, so I specifically requested it. The bartenders at all of the bars were attentive, friendly, and helpful, even when the place became really packed around 11. The food that was provided (2 types of pizza, chicken tenders, veggies with dip, cheese and crackers, brownies) was good for bar food. I estimate I ate about $10 worth of food and had 6 drinks, which would normally retail around $5 each plus tip. For the straight cost, the $60 wasn't worth it, but if you add in the great service and fun DJs, it was probably worth it. There's no way I'll go back for this event - I prefer a quieter, more sophisticated NYE - but I would definitely go back for a drink or two before a baseball game.

I finally went to Jackson's! Pre-Rockies game, just for a beer. Quick friendly service, nice atmosphere, the food looked and smelled great. This is a completely unhelpful review since I only had a Coors Light, but there was absolutely nothing to turn me off about this place, so, huzzah! I'll definitely go back the next time I head to a Rockies game!

I can't believe that nobody has written a review of this place. This is my favorite place to go before/after a Rockies game. They have excellent food, great servers, and the drinks are fantastic. Everything's very affordable and they always have a wide selection of sports to watch on the televisions. When my husband and I couldn't get tickets to the Rockies' World Series games a couple years ago we went to Jackson's instead. It was a full on party there! Excellent sports bar and restaurant! Hit them up the next time you're at a Rockies game!

I have really mixed feelings about this place. The band that was playing on the roof patio was decent the night I was there... the roof patio itself was kinda nice. The lower patio sucked, we sat there for like 20 minutes waiting for a waiter or waitress, and she was too busy looking at herself in the reflection of the door that led inside. There were three staff just standing around bullshitting, while our group of 6 sat and waited for even a glance from them. We got tired of the crap so we moved from the outside patio to the rooftop patio and our waitress up there was awesome. I had to ask a security guard up there for help getting someone that is disabled up to the roof and he was very nice about getting us permission to use the elevator. The food here was really bad. I mean, it's bar food and if I were drinking more I probably wouldn't have noticed but despite my very strong Long Islands I still wasn't impressed. Would I come back here based on the proximity to the stadium? Yes. Would I go out of my way to stop by this place otherwise? No.

Geez where do I start? We walked in and my flat literally came off my foot with how sticky the floor was. I knew at that moment I wanted to leave. The night didn't get better either. I'm pretty sure the girl with her belly hanging out grinding on some dude at the downstairs bar was preggers. Upstairs it was deserted for a Saturday night and consisted of the shadiest looking characters in the world. I think the DJ was playing the radio and the majority of said characters were under age. Also, I'm not really into frat like bars anymore. This place was a definite hell no.

Its a good sports bar. *Plenty of TVs. *Food is decent. Usual american bar items. *Worst bloody mary I've ever had *DJ is terrible at night *Nice patio with astro turf. *Roof top is nice- I've seen bands up there but that was St. Patty's day, so I don't know if thats a regular thing. Thursday: $10 cover, all u can drink from 9-12 Friday:$15 cover, all you can drink Sunday: $1 mimosas

Jackson's is a huge sports bar and I think that's about it. Okay to go there and watch sports, but nothing really stands out, the food in particular is just meh. We kind of got turned off a bit by Jackson's New Years Eve Party this last year. They charged something like $40 to get in, promising a "buffet" and all you can drink. Unfortunately the buffet was bland pizzas that they did not have nearly enough of, creating enormous lines. The drink selection was very poor. Kind of a big ripoff. We left at 10PM and had a much better time at a chill bar down the street. I hear it's more fun on Rockies game days, but I haven't experienced that.

Great pregame spot for a weekday afternoon Rockies game. Beers are kinda high, but the food isn't too bad. HUGE bar with an outdoor area and upstairs.

A decent sports bar: The Good: The food and the atmosphere. Remember, this is a SPORTS BAR, so with that in mind, the food is quite good. A recent cheesesteak was actually quite impressive. Drink specials aren't too bad either. The Fair: Can get a little too crowded. That's both a good and bad thing. Security at night can sometimes be a bit much. But hey, who wants to be sitting next to the drunk guy with the gun? The Horrid: Nothing too bad, although the later it gets in the evening, the more... well... "interesting" the crowd gets.

$10 all you can drink Coors, Coors Light, Killians and Molson and well drinks 9pm-midnight Thursday and Friday nights. this place is HUGE, there can be 2000 people in this 2 story converted warehouse and it feels almost empty. right across the street from Coors Field, great location, seconds away from a number of other great bars in downtown.

  • Shana L.

Tons of room here, even after the first Rockies night game of the season! We were lucky to get a patio table and got good, friendly service from our busy waitress. Prices are ok, a bit high for a sports bar, but being across from Coors Field it's to be expected. I had the pita and it was very good! I was surprised; most American grills can't really pull off a pita, but Jackson's did a good job. I don't know what I expected, but the crowd completely surprised me. The majority of people there looked like they belonged at one of the nearby night clubs or somewhere in Seaside Heights. I guess I expected a more laid-back crowd, especially after a game. We felt under-dressed in our Rockies gear!

  • Mo C.

Just say no to the Chicken Burrito! Our service was good. Our server even moved us to a booth which wasn't really in her section but had less wind than the rest of the patio and turned on the heat lamp for us. The fried pickles were an experience. Weird. Wouldn't say I'd necessarily order them again. But, they were amusing. The Chicken Burrito looked fantastic! Couldn't wait to delve into that bad boy. But, sadly, it was terrible. It was about 80% extremely bland refried beans. The chicken was way too dry, although it tasted like it had soaked in jalapeno juice all day. The guacamole was that kind at the store where you squeeze it out of a bag. Just bad all around. Serves me right for ordering anything other than a burger at a sports bar. Anyway, good service, good beer, nice patio, eat somewhere else.

Jackson's is a pretty good place to hit up if you are out for a beer and watch a game in Lodo. It does not look like much from the outside but there is a ton of room inside and a nice rooftop to go with it for groups of any size. The drinks are fairly reasonably priced and they seem to have a good enough selection to make everyone happy. Food wise you get the pretty standard deep fried bar food you can get most places but it does the trick. Overall, a pretty good place to try out in the area.

  • Jill B.

Get ready to dance your a$$ off!! This place is super fun but towards the end of the night (like all bars) the bar gets crazy!! You have to shove people out of the way to get a drink or be holding a wad of money to get the attention of the bartender, so get your drink on as soon as you get into the bar. I've only been to this place once and it was on a Friday. I paid $5 to drink to my hearts content, well until midnight. My friends and I had a blast!!

    (3)
  • Jay B.

The only time I've been here is for FLORIDA GATOR football games. The UF Rocky Mountain Alumni group is awesome and they put on a great party. I love the atmosphere, love doing the Gator Chomp, love that they play the fight song. The food is ok. But who cares about the food when you're drinking beer and watching Tebow winning National Championships (I know, I know this year isn't going to happen). Great times. Great people.

  • Zach Z.

Don't plan on eating any food at this place. They may have decent prices on beers, but I made the mistake ordering some nachos there that I could have made myself with some old chips and a tiny bit of cheese. Not only did they really suck, but they also cost me $12!! What a joke! Would never go back there again until they figure out how to make some decently priced decent food!

    (1)
  • Janelle M.

This place is great to watch your favorite sports. On really busy nights you will probably wait 20 minutes to get a drink which sucks. I've also seen a few bands on their rooftop, great space and an awesome spot to be on a nice night.

    (3)
  • Joe Y.

Thu $5 girls $10 guys and Fri all you can drink for $5 girls $15 guys. There's a roof top and patio during the summer with a great view of coors field. It's not the best bar in Denver but its a nice set up with good drink specials.

    (3)
  • Jen M.

HUGE sports bar. Cool outdoor patio. This place cannot get any closer to Coors Field. They even sell a to-go sandwich menu so you can take your grub into the ballpark. Lots of different fans in here on gameday. Food is pretty average bar food and the service is very good.

a million TV's truly disturbing fried food below average feel

The management in this establishment blows goats!!!! Outside of the $10 all you can drink until midnight on Thursdays and Fridays, and the rooftop patio to watch the Rockies fireworks, this place sucks. The DJ plays HORRIBLE music. The only bar tender that was good here got laid off, and there is a bouncer there who is complete TRASH!!! All in all... not really worth your time

    (1)
  • Sho G.

Started off the night here and they had great drink specials (Saturday night). Should have stayed here longer because it was two for one. Good sports bar which I hear is even better when certain big games are playing. I'll come back for sure.

    (4)
  • Erica G.

Jackson's has great deals and lots of TVs, but that is it. Bouncers are horribly rude and there is no warning when closing time rolls around. Be ready to watch your friends get hauled out if they ask to use the bathroom.

    (1)
  • Heather F.

I had to ask a bartender 10 times maybe even more before I could get a drink.
