Ordered from here this past week for a staff meeting. Delivery was prompt and courteous. The crust is very thin which I love but the sauce was a little sweeter than I usually like. It also takes a few slices to fill you up, so you may not have leftovers. We ordered four pies with toppings, each around $18.99 each. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good pizza. It just depends are what you are used to.

  • Stephanie J.

I was not impressed. The delivery was faaster than expected but the pizza was just not to my liking. Sauce was a bit sweet and it was not crispy and crust was a bit doughy. We gave it a try.

  • Sam K.

Just not very good. I paid about $30 for not very much food, and the pizza was not of a quality that justified the price. About as pleasant and tasty as airport pizza. Oh, yeah, and the delivery guy tried to short me $10 when he gave me change.

I just love the new kid's on the block! Located just a few doors down from the Fashion Denver Headquarters in Cherokee Row, our street now has a place to get a delicious pie! Not only are the boys at Denver Pizza Company fun and down to earth, their pizza is delicious! Buy it by the slice or the pie! They're also open 7 days a week and late night too! So if you're roaming around in a drunken fit of silliness and need to eat, you can stop by at 1:45am and fill your belly.

Great pizza with quick delivery and wonderful customer service. Highly recommended. The sauce/ seasonings makes this pizza. There is sweetness to this pizza I can't place, none the less good. An easy please that everyone can enjoy! I get it as to why most reviews slap the service. We have had to order other places because no answers. And despite simple instructions they can't find our apartment.

After noshing on numerous slices from DPC over the last year or so, I've come to a few conclusions: - If you're able, pick up your pie and eat it immediately. Delivery, even when you're fairly close by, results in a slightly soggy pizza. Love the thin crust, but by the time it gets to you it's a bit flimsy. I think I've just become accustomed to big, crunchy slices. - DPC is one of the only spots that will do delivery early on a Sunday afternoon, at least in my neighborhood, (ahem, Enzo's, ahem, Fat Sully's) so they get thumbs up for that. - If you're ordering a specialty pie, check their online coupons since you can usually save about $3 on an order. Their 'za runs a little on the pricey side - my medium three topping with a 3-liter of soda and tip was $20. Maybe not so crazy? But for that much I want something a bit more fulfilling. So, this is probably a 3.5-ish review. Just sayin'. - I still think their hero pie is one of the best offerings: if you're feeling spendy (again, check those coupons) it's worth a try. Yum.

This is a great choice if you're looking for a locally owned pizza place with a lot of character. I highly recommend!

The pizza that they have with chicken bacon bbq sauce and onions is INCREDIBLE. Their pepperoni pizza was decent. I only order pick ups here because it is close to me and they always have my pizza ready in the quoted time. The pricing is decent. The staff aren't overly friendly, but this isn't a sit down restaurant, so as long as they get the job done I don't care how friendly they are, as long as they aren't assholes. Good food, good price.

Simply put, I have yet to find a comparable pie in the Mile High. Plus, the guys that run the place are HAWT.

Have you ever thought, " I just want a really good piece of pizza tonight" Well then Denver pizza company just might be the right place to go. Good pizza at a good price. They had a special deal for 2 med, 2 topping pizzas for $8 bucks per pie. I'm still searching for amazing pizza, but i would go back again.

The hubs and I decided to try DPC tonight after getting a flyer. We thought they were a new place (they're not), and hooray for wind power! We ordered 2 large pizzas (we don't like the same toppings) and two salads. The delivery was FAST! The driver was also really nice and friendly. The pizza was quite good. I wish it was warmer (I'm assuming it got cold quickly being delivered on such a chilly night) and bigger- I'm a fan of big, foldable slices. Other than that, it was very good pizza. It wasn't greasy at all, and it tasted fresh. The salads were very good too. It was pricy, so it won't become our go-to cheap dinner option, but we'll very likely order again.

not sure why all the great reivews, but my boss has brought in pizza from this place and it is terrible super thin crust, no flavor and um really I have had better frozen pizza than this no thanks to Denver Pizza, not a fan

Average pizza, high prices. Wings are gross. They do have gluten-free crust that is ok but not worth the money.

  • Valerie G.

So we ordered a fairly large takeout order from the DPC...and being that we are a collection of vegans, vegetarians and gluten free people, you could imagine the complexity of our order. But amazingly enough the order arrived on time, it was correct - delicious too. I'm not a fan of delivered items and being the foodie I am, I think everything should be consumed in a restaurant, this impressed me for takeout. Great job on the pizza Phil...really like your stuff.

After trying their tasty pies at Yelpalooza last May, we decided to give DPC a try last weekend. We ordered the Hero. Very tasty toppings definitely a very original pizza. It would have been delish if the pizza dough had been thoroughly cooked. It wasn't, in fact half the pie's dough was almost raw. I'm giving them 3 stars, since I've had tasty 'za from them in the past and I think I'll try them again.

I really love gyros and I really love pizza - and I am so impressed with Denver Pizza Company for having the genius idea to combine the two in their "Hero" pie. AND - am so impressed that the end result is so delicious. Instead of red sauce, they use tzatziki - which magically blends into the cheese - so awesome (and also somehow creates a cheese bread with the crust), there is lamb gyro meat - the real deal, tomato and kalamata olives. It is totally kick ass. The seasoning was also phenom. Perfect balance of all ingredients. And as a stand alone - the crust is amazing. Needless to say, this pizza lasted no time in my house (two rounds, less than 30 minutes) and I have no need to try a more standard pizza variety at this point bc I know I'm going to keep going back to the Hero - as it really is my dream food combination. I'm very lucky to be in the neighborhood.

I LOVE their pizza! They have great offerings and a solid menu of items. I have always been impressed with their service. Pizza is pretty much my staple dinner item, and sometimes a great breakfast. I really feel you get what you pay for, and these guys are soooo much better than any chain place, and definitely a great value. I noticed a couple of other reviewers having some hiccups, honestly I have never had a problem with their pizza or service. Once, during a busy game night, the owner even brought me my order because they were so backed up, and that is commitment to service. They have additionally gone above and beyond twice during a conference at the convention center by bringing a large group order inside and setting everything up for us when we were crunched for time. Try getting that at another delivery place! My personal Fav's are the Avalanche white pizza and their Dessert pizza,.....Delish! You should definitely give DPC a try next time you are hungry for some pie!

LOVE the gluten free pizza. It doesn't fall apart like most gf crusts. The seasoning on top is a nice touch too. Favorite pizza in town.

Crave this thin fresh cooked pizza. Have never had anything there I didn't like.

Although I end up getting bubble guts every time I eat a pizza from here, I can't help but order from them over and over. The crust is the perfect thickness and it tastes delicious. They use a great blend of seasonings and ingredients and their shop is always clean when I'm in. They have great pizza names as well as great pizza combinations. The only other issue I have (besides the bubble guts) is the fact that their pizzas are SO greasy. I have never experienced a pizza with a sheet of oil under it like I do at DPC. It's as if they place a layer of lard in the box and then when the hot pizza is placed inside it melts to the perfect oil dripping temperature.....gross. I have to blot each piece with paper towel and then place it in a diaper before I can enjoy it. Denver Pizza Company is SO delicious and I do recommend them, but with all the paper towels and toilet paper I use before and after eating I wish they were a little bit more environmentally conscious.

  • Kaim K.

After my not-so-sparkly review, both owners of DPC contacted me to apologize for my experience and update me on actions they took to improve customer service. I tried them again and the pizza was delicious and the service definitely improved! I am a fan again :)

One of the owners offered me a free pie--very considerate of them, but I didn't take them up on the offer. I encourage them to explore their gluten free crust options.

These Chicago boys know their pizza! Although from the Windy City, Denver Pizza has perfected a light crispy crust - not a deep dish in sight. Try the white pie, you'll forget you love sauce in no time... We intend to work our way through the menu - so hoping they'll open a shop somewhere in downtown Denver. In the meantime, head down to 11th street for good sports conversation and mouth watering smells, while you wait for your delicious pie.

  • Evey M.

Alright Denver Pizza I have had you more then once now and so I feel I can provide a solid and fair review. You make an okay pizza. It's not great, it's not terrible. The crust is a little on the crispy side and maybe you get a little overboard with the ingredients but that's a personal preference. To me though... there is just something a little funny about your crust.... I don't know what it is though. You have so far been fast and punctual. I am not sure I'll be making the trip down to see you anymore though because I've got my delicious $2 slices right down the street... but maybe next time I am in your neighborhood and Parsley's is closed or I want a slice I'll stop in... maybe

  • Daniel S.

Awesome pizza! The crust is good, they have a good selection of toppings, cheeses, and sauces. The vegetables were fresh and tasty, and the amount of cheese was great - unlike big chains I didn't feel cheated by cheese just thick enough to cover most of the sauce. The staff were friendly and courteous, good about delivering to a secured building at night, and best of all, quick - why call Dominoes or Pizza Hut and wait 45 minutes or more when for only a dollar or two more you can get a better pizza in 30 minutes and support a local business! Oh, and they deliver pretty late, too, so even better.

garbage... flat pita, mildly toasted, posing as pizza. it's denver, colorado...so you should not expect much. and this place lives up to the local standard. the owner is oblivious to what the food should taste like and berates anyone who disagrees. that's about a solid marketing plan as it would had they served donkey's ass on a plate.

  • Steven C.

Best pizza I have had in Denver for sure, though not the best I have had. Super nice guys run this place and they have some pretty good deais listed on their website. Coming from New Haven, CT I have some pretty high standards for pizza and this Is the best I have found in Denver. The Polo Loco is pretty awesome as well. I have only picked up slices and pies to go from here and the overall experience has been great.

One of the reviewers mentioned something about employee rudeness. The last two times I ordered from DPC the man on the phone gave me the impression that I had ruined his day by ordering a pizza. Very brusque. Didn't seem to be able to understand my credit card #. I like their pizzas and the prompt service. However, customer service is essential to keeping people ordering pizzas. In the future I'll get my pizzas from Marcos.

  • Charis D.

I heard from the owner almost right away after writing this review. He apologized profusely for everything and told me that they had actually fired that employee for coming in drunk to work that day. He offered me a free gf pizza, as well, though I moved the next week, so I haven't made it in for the free pizza yet. It has been on my 'to-do'' list for months to at least write an update that the owner did go out of his way to make things right. He responded in a very professional manner that definitely made me willing to give the Denver Pizza Company another try at some point when I'm in the old 'hood. Sorry it took so long!

Not much that needs to be said about a pizza joint. Either the pizza is good, or it ain't. DPC is indeed yummy but it's best eaten fresh because the thin crust can get soggy fast. There's no table seating here - it's strictly delivery/carry out. (The staff isn't exactly overly friendly so you probably wouldn't want to eat here anyway). Support your local pizza joint and order from here before you call one of those chains.

Very underwhelming is the best I can describe my first order from DPC -- and honestly as a neighboring resident I want to find a way to like it but I simply can't (Lucianos has gone downhill, always messing up, and I was hoping the new guys would be better). Greasy pizza (box saturated through the thin crust), sparse toppings, tasteless (except for seasoning thrown on after out of oven) cheese, and very small vs other pizzerias' medium, large etc pies. And then I realized when i had similar but better pizza -- red baron frozen plain pizza with toppings and extra cheese added midway through cooking. For way less than half the price of what i paid, I could've gotten 2 one-topping slices from Benny Blancos and been more filled and fulfilled. P.S. I would question any recent positive reviews -- contrary to Yelp policy requesting that folks not review an establishment in exchanged for benefits (free or discounted meals), DPC is offeriong $5 coupons to anyone to who presents a (flattering) Yelp review.

Have been going on a Denver pizza binge as of late, trying some of the off the path locations other than Pizza Hut, Dominos etc. In all honesty the price point is in line with what you pay at Papa John's or any other delivery place. That being said the pizza is much better with a crust that can't be beat. The guys at the place were really nice and fun to be around while we waited for the pizza. They also offer some exotic topping varieties that you can't find elsewhere. Great neighborhood option and when I want delivery, I look no further.

Last weekend I ordered the 'Hero' from Denver Pizza Company. I've heard a lot about these guys and I drive by DPC every day. I don't know why it's taken me so long to order, but I'm glad I finally did. Lamb and Tzatziki aren't ingredients you typically think of when Pizza comes to mind, but it's a fantastic combination. Mix in quality olives and tomatoes and its ridiculously awesome. I'm sort of a pizza snob and DPC made the most all-around satisfying pizza I've had in awhile. Considering the quality of their ingredients and the speed of their preperation, I'd probably go as far as to say they're one of the best take-out/delivery experiences I've ever had. And I haven't even tried their 'signature' pizza yet [can't wait 'til I do].

Great thin crust pizza. We ordered the 5280 and it was delicious! Just the right amount of toppings, tasty sweet sauce and crispy crust. I really had no idea this pizza joint was here but glad we found it!

What can I say... I love this place!!! The crust and sauce amazing... also I love how everything is so fresh and don't worry about them skimping on toppings. My favorite is the 5280 and don't forget to grab a pint of icecream with it! These guys know what they are doing!

Great pizza! I love to see local companies that are doing unique things like making their own sauce, dough and wrangling in some local flair with the pizza names too. I ordered a couple of personal pizza, 1 for me and 1 for my daughter. The Hot Springs and the Native. Both of them had great flavor and the dough has an interesting blend of spices that make us "Crust Fans" proud. Most importantly my daughter loved it (even though she isn't a crust eater). My only critique would be that they need some seating at this location, I get the whole "take-out/delivery" model but it would be nice to sit down.

  • Stephanie L.

I wish I lived closer to DPC, because this stuff is damn good. I love the white sauce (I'm a sucker for white sauce!) and the roasted chicken- I think they call it "Avalanche"? The staff is SUPER friendly. Anyways, if you're close by, stop in for a slice and your tummy will thank you.

The phone service was good, delivery time was average, and the price was fair for the quality of the food. The pizza was among the better pizzas that I've had in Denver; we got a modified version of "The Avalanche". It was rich and flavorful and laden with toppings. We had to eat it with forks because the crust couldn't support what was on top of it. If you like Beau Jo's, give DPC a try.

  • Eddie H.

I really wanted to like this place. It received generally good reviews, and I like supporting the little guy. Also, the person who took the order was a good guy, and so was the (hapless) delivery guy. I say hapless because he got lost twice, even though the delivery address was located on a major street, and because he didn't carry change, even though it was a cash order. However, the order was very late, and subsequently cold. Even worst, the pizza was awful. The crust was soggy and the pizza tasted like somebody had poured a box of salt on it. Normally, I would call and complain, and probably give the place a second chance. Not this time. I'll stick with Anthony's or Nicolo's. In fact, I would order from Pizza Hut, Domino's or Pappa John's before I resorted to Denver Pizza Company. Very disappointing.

Last May I began watching yet another installment of one of my favorite TV shows, ABC's "The Bachelorette". One of the men on the show turns out to be Mark Huebner from Denver who is described as a "Pizza Entrepreneur". This peaked my interest. What Pizza? A little after Mark was dismissed from the show, up popped The Denver Pizza Company in the Golden Triangle. I couldn't wait to try it to see what the hype was all about. This pizza is probably the best pizza you can get delivered in Denver. Sure, I like Proto's and Marco's better for pick up or sit down, but if I don't to leave my apartment I go straight for the DPC menu on the fridge. The have a frequent user card and great coupons on their website too. It's not cheap, but it is by far better than the typical chain pizza delivery chains and well worth the price. AND you can get the crust in Gluten Free. I like the 5280, the (mozzarella, pepperoni, and mushrooms). The spices really add a kick to it. Bonus: you can get Glacier ice cream delivered with your pie!

  • Rhiana S.

Usually this place is good - hot and fresh, but today I ordered a Calzone and it was cold. Seriously cold and I called and reported it and the response was "It's 55 degrees in my kitchen, what do you want me to do about it?". The guy said he would give me a credit, after I asked for it and then slammed the phone down. I don't think I'll be calling for my credit. There are a ton of other pizza places in Denver that are just as good and who don't have jerks. I think it's funny they are promoting a 5 dollar coupon on their website if you write a review on Yelp.

Their pizza is fantastic! I've tried a bunch of different specialities but my favorites have been the 5280, Native, The Cripple Creek, and the Hero. I also got a Hawaiian pizza a few times and it was very good. Delivery is usually pretty quick and pizza has shown up piping hot each time. I've only had one bad delivery(short on drivers that night), but when I called in they were very apologetic and gave me the pizza for free. These guys rock and now I want pizza.

Dankest za in da 303. No, but really their deep dish is quite good. Usually I get an Hawaiian with extra cheese. My other go to pizza is the east Colfax with green chili. 5 stars because this is probably the best delivery pizza I've had in Denver so far.

First time in, and I must say it was delicious. Will visit them again. 5 bucks for a two topping slice and soda. Please note: this is like a new York walk up. No seating. Just grab and go.

An understated delicious, local pizza joint that serves one of my favorite combos of pizza: the Magnificent 7 (Salami, Pepperoni, Sausage, Basil, Mushrooms, Bacon & Sun Dried Tomatoes). Though, I've only had delivery, the pizza is always fresh and piping hot; however what I particularly like is the crust. It's light and and crispy and not overbearing, like crust can be sometimes. The Italian salad (Organic Spring Mix, Tomatoes, Pepperoni, Salami, Black Olives & Provolone Cheese) could stand for more toppings, especially with those kind of robust toppings - I mean, salami and black olives? Load it on, please! What I did enjoy was the feature on their online ordering platform to add any ingredients you want. Cue - my green olives on the salad :) The staff is always nice and polite, and even honest about their estimated delivery time. Just a lovely, local pizza pie joint trying to make hungry Denver people happy with one yummy pie at a time.

I thought the pizza was good but there was room for improvement. I felt like they were a little light on the toppings and cheese for the price of almost $20.00 for a 14" with three toppings. Everything was fresh and the sauce was well seasoned. The crust was light in a good way. I tipped two bucks even though it was a take out order. Overall a decent pie but not one I'd go out of my way to drive to pick up since I live too far for delivery.

Another in a long line of Colorado pizza disappointments. I don't know what it is about Colorado, and Denver in particular, but I just find there aren't many good pizza places here. And when I say good I mean above average, not just average. Ordered delivery; pizza arrived warm, not hot. Crust is too soft and flavorless. Few toppings, especially for such a large pizza. Sausage and sauce are also nondescript and disappointing. I just moved to Capitol Hill a few months ago; much better options for thin crust are SliceWorks and Amore.

Did not k ow that this was strictly walk up or delivery. Love getting pizza by the slice. Hot and fresh was a good change of pace.

The hardest past of my cross-country relocation was finding a great pizza place, but Denver Pizza CO is THE ONE! Living at 10th and Grant has been both a blessing and a curse for my addiction to the 5280, and the ability to 1/2 + 1/2 with my boyfriends love of the Cheeseman is pure bliss. We also can't resist the Garlic Parm boneless chicken wings and sometimes I just opt for the cheese bread over pizza... it's that good. We're loyal to you DPC! Thanks for a stellar-staff and delish eats. (But please make it easier to redeem "deals" on your website!)

Great stuff. We ordered a deep dish... doesn't really matter just get a deep dish. Delivery was pretty standard although the delivery guy was the first to ever find my door haha. Thanks DPC.

honestly Denver Pizza Co. is one of the best pies in Denver. their crust has a great flavor, isn't too thick or doughy, and has just the right crispness. the sauce has a phenomenal flavor that really brings everything together. they use fresh, high quality toppings that are really just the icing on the cake. you can try any one of their pre made pies, or you can customize and build your own. either way you won't be disappointed. they offer both delivery and pick up, and are open somewhat late (11pm on Sunday's). unfortunately there is no option to sit down and eat at the restaurant. it's not a very large place. nothing more than a small cashier checkout counter and the kitchen in the back where the pizzas are made. while you're inside I highly recommend checking out their ice cream selection for dessert. I am impressed with Denver Pizza Co. every time I eat there. one of the finest pizza shops in Colorado and I promise that you won't be disappointed when you give them a try!!!

This time the pizza seemed kind of dry, most of the time it's the jump off, not sure what happened this last time. I'm sure I'll try them again but I wasn't as impressed this last time around. The the cheezy bread was great I had not tried that before.

Love the variety of toppings and their overall menu! The sauce is something I've never tasted anywhere else, and the crust is thin but soft and super tasty. There's almost a slight sweetness to their seasonings and it pairs well with most everything, although sometimes I'm not sure if I love the sweetness. But overall very unique and delicious.

Great CRUST, GOOD Sauce EMbarrassing quantity of tops. Wow, asked for Artichoke, Kalamatas, Tomatoes and Genoa Salami. Paid the full price for unlimited tops and got pea size specs here and there. We added our own homemade chunky marinara, our own basil from our garden, our own Kalamatas AND fresh jalapeño and crisped up in the oven. Great pie, but I made it. Not sure if I have time to fix each our they make. Wonderful place, I hope they take this information and do something about it. IF YIU PAY FIR UNLIMITED TOPPINGS, then DONT add just 3-4 specs of the toppings. Charge an extra 5.00 and give what you said you offered.

Don't get takeout! I have had the pizza here several times and it's usually pretty good. I've done both sit in and take out. When you get sit in the pizza is really good. They have lots of toppings to choose from and their sauce is pretty good. Every time I get delivery not only does it take forever, but it seems as if the creation of the pizza is lacking. They don't put in as much effort. The sauce is thin and barely there. The pizza gets over cooked, dry and burnt. If your going to order go to the actual restaurant.

Ordered the 5280 and added basil. The ingredients were fresh, the sauce and dough were good but I wasn't that impressed. The cheese sticks were great

Ordered a pan pizza Friday night because we had a late lunch and skipped dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this was. I would compare this to a slightly higher end Pizza Hut pan pizza, ya know, like when Pizza Hut cooks their pan pizza just right and it has that crunchy buttery goodness on the bottom and the slightly burnt caramelized cheese around the edges? Yeah, just like that! :-)

Best deep dish in town! The regular crust is pretty good too but is best when eaten immediately, which is hard considering the lack of a dining room. My girlfriend and I did polish off a whole large sitting on the step outside once. The deep dish survives delivery like a champ and a couple minutes in the oven makes it top notch if you're really picky. $20 sounds like a lot for the large specialty deep dish but it easily serves 3 or more and turns out to be a solid deal. The take out menus have excellent coupons if you don't feel like splurging on deep dish. Everyone here is always friendly and if you order there and have to wait you'll have just enough time to walk over to the liquor store and grab a six pack to take home with the pizza. The toppings and specialty pizzas are fantastic so just order it already. Nobody else is going to bring you a pizza this delicious.

We ordered the Cease and Desist pan-style for delivery on Friday night. It was our first time getting pizza here, and it was completely awesome. Delivery was prompt and pizza was still hot. Another review likened the pan-style deep dish to a high-end Pizza Hut pan pizza, and I couldn't agree more. The buttery crust is delicious with toppings right to the edge. It's not a Chicago style deep dish, but a pan style deep dish crust. I guess I will say the pizza was a bit saucey, but I prefer that to too dry. We'll definitely be ordering again!

Best pizza in Denver! I love every pizza I have tried from there, but the Red Rocks deep dish is nothing less than amazing!! It's obvious they use high quality ingredients and really care about putting out a great product. I've seen them at a few charity events around denver and love that they are local and involved in the Denver community. This is by far my go-to place for pizza in Denver!

We have recently moved to the Capitol Hill neighborhood and are pizza lovers! I can't say enough about how great the pizza is! The customer service is also excellent! And the deliveries are always on time or early! They also have a great rewards program! Denver Pizza Company is definitely our new pizza place!!

Disclaimer - I'm Gluten Free.... First - when I called, I asked the price of the gluten free pizza - and it was around $18 for a medium... kind of expensive - but I figured maybe they made their own good crust to make up for it. When the pizza arrived, the delivery guy was really nice - soda was cold, pizza was luke warm. Crust was definitely a super thin crust (like Udi's) and didn't have any flavor. Toppings were a little sparse for the price. All in all, not impressed at all. I've definitely had WAY better pizza in the area - and some of the best hand made gluten free crusts at some competitors.

Love their pizza. They also have the best ranch dressing ever. It is a little pricey, but if you want cheap pizza go to Little Caesar's. If you want great pizza, go to Denver Pizza Company. The location we went to (in Golden Triangle) is take out only. It took so much willpower to ride in the car with the pizza on my lap without opening the box. Highly recommended!

My calzone was large and really delicious. However two of the ingredients were missing. Wah... Wah.... They even called to clarify what I wanted and the gent I talked to was courteous. I would try it again because it was tasty just not what I ordered.

I haven't been on yelp in awhile but the company got ahold of me in order to make it up. I haven't had the opportunity to get back in contact because I'm out of town often. I'm happy about them being proactive !

the guys on the phone are always kind and efficient. the delivery is always SPEEDY! they're at my door often before i expect them. the crust is perfect. the sauce is unique and tasty and i do love how it has a bit of sweetness to it. the toppings are fresh and flavorful (our favorite combos are mushroom/onion and pineapple/jalapeño). a side of ranch is always worth ordering (we order 4 bc we are addicted). and once, when the toppings on our pizza got mixed up, the owner offered us a free large pizza without us having to ask. it's local, it's independent, it's tasty, it's speedy. its prices are not absurd.

Okay, my last review was two years ago and I have forgotten to make an update; now that I'm back in Denver, I'm reclaiming some karma and giving this place what it deserves. Immediately after (same day?) my original review, one of the owners emailed me directly and apologized profusely for the event in question, said that the individual in question working the phone that day had been reprimanded (sorry bro) and offered me a pizza on the house for forgiveness. I DID NOT ACCEPT HIS OFFER, nor did I reply to the email - this is not a "thanks" update - but I did eventually order delivery from this place a few months later and I feel it's appropriate to offer a real review instead of letting a 1 star rating stand. DPC should NOT under any circumstances be rated on the basis of its similarity to, or ability to replicate, your favorite regional predilections. It's not NY style at all. It's not Chicago style at all. This place really does their own thing and to me, the only fair way to rate them is "is this place good at doing what they say they do?" and all the other things you do to truly and fairly rate an eatery that doesn't pretend to be something it's not. This place has AWESOME PIZZA. After I got my first order, I've eaten here at least 3 times subsequently and the experience is consistently good. They're pretty quick to get your delivery out, and the taste experience is outstanding. I will offer a tiny anecdotal comparison: I grew up in RI where all the local pizza joints use those tiny little thicker pepperoni that turn into delightful spicy grease cups when cooked, rather than the blander, thinner, flatter and bigger pepperoni that almost every other place uses. I like the choice. In fact, all their ingredient choices which I have tried have been fantastic. Their cheese blend is satisfying on all levels and remarkably unique, the crust is great as well - just cooked enough not to be a cracker but also not doughy. I have never been inside a DPC, only ordered delivery. So the only reason I can't 5 star this place is because the pizzas are definitely overpriced in my opinion for the size you get. I don't want to compare it against other local delivery joints with massive pies, but DPC pies are a bit disappointingly small for a price that is uncharacteristically high. Maybe this is justifiable for some reason - ingredients, maybe they pay the staff a nice wage, maybe their overhead is just outrageous - still made me feel a little ripped off. Just sayin'. Lose a couple bucks per pizza or add a couple inches to the diameter and this place is solid 5 from me. I don't see that happening, but that's my review.

Horrible horrible delivery service, 45 minutes mean 1 hr and 45 minutes. Ate half my arm before they arrived. Pizza was the best ever when it arrived, could be because I was starving. Company offered nothing for my hassle

  • Jon S.

I have only had the pizza via delivery so I'm sure it's better in person. I'm torn between 3 stars and 4 as I agree it can be a bit hit or miss. The sauce is sweet and the cheese is relatively flavorful but the crust isn't the best in Denver. The crust is very doughy/chewy and doesn't have much crunch. On the right day I'll give this 4 stars but it could very easily be more like 3-3.5...

One word: yuck. Tasteless sparse cheese, scant toppings on cardboard crust. Even Pizza Hut does better. Don't waste your time or $$ here.

When I was a little girl I had crazy growing pains in my legs and my doctor told me I needed more calcium so I should eat cheesy foods like pizza. While this might not have been the sagest advice a medial man could offer (he did make me take calcium pills and make other calcium rich suggestions, but what 8 year old hears anything past pizza?) it was the beginning of my serious love affair with this savory pie. And these days I'm all about pizza by the slice, especially for lunch. So seeing how I hadn't been to Denver Pizza Company yet and they offer said slice of pizza and I was in the area for an appointment at Accent Beauty I decided I would get my lunch in the form of a slice of simple cheese from Denver Pizza Company. This place is definitely a grab and go kind of place as there is only a counter for ordering. And the people working here were quite friendly. The pizza wasn't quite my type though. The sauce was on the sweet side which I didn't really like and the crust was a tad bit burnt which made it a little dry. I think this could have partially been my fault as it was a little after the lunch rush hours when I went in, but it was a little disappointing that the pizza would be served if it was dry and burnt. I would have much rather waited for a fresher slice if that had been an option.

They had a Deal Running and a Pizza was only 10 bucks. Never ventured in here before so I went with the safe bet and ordered Pepperoni. Well They have a nice sized menu. Friendly Employees. Not the biggest space but it gets the job done. And they make a delicious pie. Down the stairs I had to see what they were working with so I dug into my first incredibly hot out the oven piece. Mouth Burning Cheesy Gooeyness burning roof of mouth is the signal getting sent to the brain. Signal to the Tummy Keep Eating its delicious. When i finally got to my destination a few blocks away with Drink in Hand I Nom NOM NOM'd piece after piece. The crust which i normally dont eat didnt survive the Melee either. I came up the Left Flank and Attacked then the Right Flank and with the Enemy Cut off I cut up the middle and attacked the rest. The Crust wasnt soggy, The grease on top if the way A Pie Should be, unless your eating some FOO FOO pizza with a White sauce and leeks on top Eww ICk. This Pie is simple and to the point the way it should be. If they did put a few tables outside that would be nice.

Excellent! I am having some construction done at my place. I ordered pizza for my electrician and drywaller. Denver Pizza is near the Prado off 11th. Fast and friendly. I know there's not much that can go wrong with pizza but it feels better to give the business to a local rather than a big chain. If you are eating in, I'd defer to Fired-up, but for delivery in the arts district give Denver Pizza a shot.

Although this place costs a little more than papa johns, pizza hut, dominos all those kind of pizza delivery places its totally worth it. They have a lot more options with tops and sauces and every time we have ordered its always super good. Driver is always super friendly and even on a Friday night they still got us our pizza to us really fast. And I strongly recommend the cheesy bread.

Tried this place because it is a couple blocks away from my apartment, and was a little disappointed. I'm kind of a plain Jane when it comes to Pizza, so I opted for just a pepperoni, despite there being a pretty impressive list of more artisan pizzas. When I got there to pick up my pizza and wings, it was already done (which was nice) and happily walked home with my loot. I will note that my wallet was hurting a little after this- it was a little on the pricey side for just a pepperoni pizza. Don't get me wrong- they told me the price over the phone and I knew what I was getting myself into, but I was just hoping it would be so worth it. When I got home I opened the box to find my pizza chilling with a reservoir of grease on top. The pizza itself was sub-par, the crust was really hard and weirdly- hollow? The wings, on the other hand were AMAZING, sooo tasty! Overall, I think I went wrong with just a plain pepperoni pizza- I think their magic might all be in there fancier pizzas. This place was pretty alright- But definitely not worth all the money I shelled out over it.

I have gotten food from Denver Pizza about 15 times, and have loved each and every one that I have ever gotten. I have only gotten pizza and cheesy bread sticks though, so I can't speak to their other times. I find their toppings to be fresh and the selection to be plentiful. I have never gotten their pizza delivered either, only pick up. The bread sticks are delicious, which are essentially a pizza roll, sliced in to strips. I find the people that work there to be a bit distant and unengaged, but I don't go there for chit chat, so I don't really care. But if you are someone that needs friendly folk at the counter or on the phone, this might not be your place. They aren't rude or mean, or anything like that, just seem more ambivalent. All of that said. I love their pizza and will be back.

  • Steve S.

I think this might be a case where the story behind the recipe is a bit more powerful than the pizza itself. The pizza is definitely good, but it is not the best I've had in Denver. Customer service when placing a to-go order at the store is good and is much, much better than delivery which took 45 minutes to an hour. A little too long for my stomach and the high price I was paying for the pie. If you are looking for a unique crust (think Dominos but of much higher quality) and a decent pie, then Denver Pizza Company is for you. Just be prepared for a wait and a higher price than other delicious pizza options in the city.

Try their lunch special - 2 ingredient personal pizza (I had pepperoni and mushroom) and a soda - for $5. I thought it was delicious and it was exactly what this 8-months pregnant lady needed on a Monday. I also thought the guy taking my order was nice - I asked the ever obnoxious "What is the best?" and he didn't stear me wrong. 4 thumbs up!

Having a taste for pizza and wanting something other than Blackjack or Pizza Hut as I cant stand Papa John's. I remembered a flyer I received from Denver Pizza Company recently in the mail and thought to give them a try. I decided to order the Red Rock specialty pizza, because of the Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Because like the Frank's slogan, "I put that s%&t on everything!". I placed the order and was given the delivery tome of around 45 minutes and I have to say that I was pleased that within 30 mins my pizza had arrived. The pizza tasted great and the Frank's Hot Sauce on it had me breaking a small sweat in no time. Great job Denver Pizza Company! I'm definitely a fan! What specialty pizza shall I try next?

Place is right down teh street, so no delivery, for me. Fresh made pie with real ingredients...the reviewers who can't tell the difference between this and frozen or domino's or PJ deserve to have to eat those lousy pies.

Location in cap-hill has no seating - just an FYI Lunch is 4.99 and you pick up to 3 toppings, 8inches, out in 15 minutes. Great crust, got a little sweetness to it, very tasty Can't wait to try some other versions!

No Stars. Wednesday at 4PM I was ask to hold. I waited patiently over 5 minutes. Hung up and called back. The rep asked me to hold again. I informed him I had been on hold already. No apology. Just "um, we're busy". I'm embarrassed for this place. Spent the money to get my attention through direct mailing and the lost my business in 5 minutes. Good Luck! Lost an avid pizza consumer.

I've had the calzone, hero pizza, deep dish, NY style, and the greek salad. My favorite so far was the deep dish pepperoni and mushroom, that pizza with their seasoning was really freaking good. The seasoning is unique which makes this pizza stand out, and it particularly complimented the pep and mushroom so much that it was by far the best pepperoni and mushroom pizza that I've ever had, and I consider that a standard. The pizza is legit and a big part of that is their crust which I always finish. Reading some other reviews on here, I don't agree that the prices are particularly high for a local pizza shop. Come on, this isn't CiCi's. I'm also following them now on Twitter since a few Yelpers pointed out they throw some good deals up on there for followers and it looks like they have some good promotions. Their phone wait/holding stuff is pretty funny too

First - I personally am a customer of Denver Pizza Co. Great pizza, love the small local kitchen and always have good service. And of course the pizzas are made with fresh ingredients and always delicious! I reached out to Denver Pizza Co via Twitter to donate to a local organization's charity event. They were more than willing to give back and help their community and donated 10 pizzas! If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Great to see a business being apart of the community. This is exactly the type of place that Denver needs and I hope their business thrives! Denverites should definitely support them!!

One of the freshest-tasting ingredients pizza places in Denver. Best artichoke hearts around. I frequently drive past this place on the way home from the mountains and always think, "That place looks really cute...." but never stop. However, we finally tried Denver Pizza Company when we ordered delivery to Renegade Brewing when they didn't have a food truck that night. We were with another couple so we gladly grabbed the "Order any 2 Medium 2-topping pizzas and they're just $8 deal...." Glad we did! Our one pizza was enough for two of us to have dinner that night (and we had some beer munchies going on) as well as have a slice each the next day. I was happy with our order, but was salivating looking over at our friend's Goat Cheese/Basil/Onion pizza- it looked so healthy (was probably not) and fresh!

It's a thousand times better than Pizza Hut or Dominos but so is a parking ticket. I tend to order from here mostly out of convenience. Each time I'm always disappointed in the quantity. I'm not sure if it's smaller than the inches they advertise, or what. It just always feels way lighter than a pizza should. It's not quite new york style pizza, and the deep dish is far from chicago style. They're each their own type. It's worth a try to see if you like their stuff, but It's far from my go to place.

Best pizza in Denver! They should get a computer that remembers what we order because I get the same thing at least once, sometimes twice every week. Some people said the guy's aren't friendly enough on the phone. Look, if you want to call someone friendly, call your Mom. If you want a pizza, call these guys. They make good pizza. They're not gonna talk to you like you're a 3-month old girl.

Pizza was really good! However, the 1/2 lb of boneless wings for 7.99 ... Lets just say, save your money and get a 10 count of Chicken McNuggets -- They'll taste better, look better, and well, be an overall, better value.

I don't write reviews. I forgot my password and haven't been on yelp in a year. This pizza was so awesome I decided to reset my password just to write this. I order online a large $10 unlimited with half pepperoni, sausage, bacon, onions, green pepper, black olives, chicken, and lamb meat and the other half canadian bacon, red pepper, and pineapples. I get there, pick it up in a little shanti style house blasting some tunes. The aromas were intoxicating, i could barely restrain myself from eating in my car. All the ingredients were fresh. It was off the chain. I plan on returning soon.

I recently used a Groupon for Denver Pizza Co and I was sorely disappointed with the quality of the pizza. The crust was dry, and so was the cheese. I have a problem with pizza that is warm, but the cheese doesn't seem melted, just dried on. It makes me think it's old and has been sitting under a heat lamp. Also, it was REALLY salty, so salty that every bite I took I said "Why is this pizza so salty?". When my boyfriend brought home the pizza the first thing he commented on was that it "seemed light". It did seem small and thin for a large pizza with 3 toppings. 2 people could polish off a *good* pizza that size in one meal. We didn't finish it, because we didn't like it. The reason they didn't get just one star is because the pizza was ready on time... which is a hard thing to find in Denver.

Delicious fold-able pizza. Great selection of pizza combos + options to add your own. We tried the Avalanche which was the artichoke, chicken, mushroom, white sauce pizza. It was a great combination of flavors and although I wish the sauce had had a bit more flavor - I can't complain. For carry out, it was really good. I can't wait to try the Hot Springs and the 5280! They deliver within a 3 mile radius of the restaurant, and that's a plus since there is actually no seating. I almost wish I lived a little closer so I could walk over at lunch time. Yumma! Calzones and salad too! The tatoo'd guy who was solo handling the phone, the pizza orders, the making of the pizza, was working like it was for his life - a pro. Good stuff!

It's been awhile but we decided to order pizza from Denver Pizza Company tonight. We've eaten their pizza quite a bit since last year they were doing weekly deals for the residents here of $5 pizzas. They are just a few blocks away so it was a win-win for everyone. I think this is why it's been a while; We were burned out. BF comes home after the City Solve and is craving pizza. We like thin crust, so I suggested DPC. I'm really glad I did and both of us noted that we weren't sure why we forget about them. Crust - THIN THIN THIN. I love this. If you are looking for a thicker crust then you will be disappointed. I also like how the crust has a bit of a sweet side. Sauce - Sweeter. Some people don't like it, but I do. It helps to balance out all the saltiness that can come with bread and cheese. Toppings - We got the Native (a Margherita). There were beautiful slices of basil with heavy chunks of tomato. I have to say this is better then sliced tomato. Usually the tomato comes off all in one bite but this way we were able to enjoy the flavor combo with each bite. I have a hard time calling anything "best" in Pizza. I worked for a year for PMQ Magazine, which is a leading trade magazine in the pizza industry. I've been to the World Pizza Championships and had pizza from some of the best chefs in the world. Saying that, I try to give each style its due. There are times when I want thin or hand tossed or deep dish. Styles change by region and liking. My vote is that DPC is a great sweet, thin crust pizza from a great local pizza spot.

Had this delivered for a team lunch today and I was not overly impressed. Ordered in 5 pies and two large salads to share. I'm pretty sure all of them were dropped on the way to our office. Upon opening the pizza box all of the slices were a jumbled mess. There were individual containers of dressing with the salad and they had all burst open and leaked over the salad and bag.

Tasty stuff from Denver Pizza Company. This location has no dining room, only a counter. It's all about take out or delivery if you're in their delivery area. I've had success with the pizza here. The Cripple Creek is a triple meat option pie; sausage, salami, pepperoni. The personal size is small but a real value at about $5-6. I've also had slices here and I was not disappointed. To me pizza is all about distribution - the toppings should be evenly set and there should not be a bite without sauce and cheese. DPC does this well. As an added bonus they have green olives in addition to black olives, which is more difficult to find in this town. Most places only have black olives. Kudos to DPC for the olive choices! The counter service has been welcoming and personable. I met the owner once and he seemed genuinely interested in my satisfaction. This goes a long way these days, so again bravo DPC!

Great wings and pizza. Their breadsticks are not my favorite but you can't beat great wings delivered AND on time.

I've mentioned in other reviews how much I love trying to find the perfect pizza. Well, here in Denver, I think, Denver Pizza Company may just be my personal favorite. Although I'm a northwestern Illinoisan, I am not a big fan of Chicago style pizza (sauce on top and deep dish dough). However, if you are, the owner is a native Chicagoan making Chicago style pizzas alongside his hand tossed crusts. The recipes are said to have come from a family in a small town who had kept it held closely for 70 years. The secrets, whatever they may be, make the crust flavorful and the sauce not too tangy but not too sweet. It is the perfect combination. Another feature I love about DPC is that you can add Provolone cheese (STL style pizza) to your entire or half pizza order. Try it once and you won't be disappointed. Even the delivery drivers are courteous, on time, and non-threatening. LOL I'd say, if I had to choose one pizza joint to stay in business here, for good, it would be this one for Denver. (Now if only they had Pepperjack cheese and wheat dough.)

Tim and I had tickets for a play in the area last Friday and decided to check this place out for dinner first. I scanned the Yelp reviews because I wanted a dine-in place and didn't see anything that mentioned that there is not one seat here. Darn...too late to figure anything else out. The guy who helped up told us that the Metropolitan Coffee Shop across the street was totally cool with us eating in their space. Seemed very strange to do that, but we didn't have many options. We ordered the Hero Pizza(greek gyro meat with tzatziki sauce on a pizza) after reading all the delish-sounding reviews here and it was divine, delectable, de-lovely. Tim thought it was so-so but ate 5/8 of it in an instant. They even brought it over to us. Would have been nice if they had included plates and napkins(maybe a *gasp* fork or two) so we didn't have to mooch anymore off the poor coffee shop. Crust was great, pizza toppings way unique. Getting hungry just thinking about it.

Not that impressed with the crust taste and texture, ingredients were lacking for the price paid. Would definitely recommend another establishment.

  • Jennifer C.

Mediocre at best. This place is on par with dominos' flavor profile and the crust was a bit on the soggy side. A note to whoever made my order or creates the recipes: Your tzatziki sauce is not tzatziki sauce at all. I received a ramekin of plain yogurt. It was thick (not a sauce), did not contain any red onion or cucumbers, and definitely needed red wine vinegar. Also, a Greek salad should have red onions for a sweet flavor profile, not white onions. There are so many pizza places in Denver, we will not be back. There is no skill or love in this za.

  • Sammy T.

This time the pizza seemed kind of dry, most of the time it's the jump off, not sure what happened this last time. I'm sure I'll try them again but I wasn't as impressed this last time around. The the cheezy bread was great I had not tried that before.

    (3)
  • Laura R.

  • Chuck G.

This place has great food !!! And the service is awesome too this has to be one of my favorite pizza places in all of Denver. A little pricey though

  • Adam S.

    (4)
  • Emi O.

One word: yuck. Tasteless sparse cheese, scant toppings on cardboard crust. Even Pizza Hut does better. Don't waste your time or $$ here.

My calzone was large and really delicious. However two of the ingredients were missing. Wah... Wah.... They even called to clarify what I wanted and the gent I talked to was courteous. I would try it again because it was tasty just not what I ordered.

the guys on the phone are always kind and efficient. the delivery is always SPEEDY! they're at my door often before i expect them. the crust is perfect. the sauce is unique and tasty and i do love how it has a bit of sweetness to it. the toppings are fresh and flavorful (our favorite combos are mushroom/onion and pineapple/jalapeño). a side of ranch is always worth ordering (we order 4 bc we are addicted). and once, when the toppings on our pizza got mixed up, the owner offered us a free large pizza without us having to ask. it's local, it's independent, it's tasty, it's speedy. its prices are not absurd.

I haven't been on yelp in awhile but the company got ahold of me in order to make it up. I haven't had the opportunity to get back in contact because I'm out of town often. I'm happy about them being proactive !

Horrible horrible delivery service, 45 minutes mean 1 hr and 45 minutes. Ate half my arm before they arrived. Pizza was the best ever when it arrived, could be because I was starving. Company offered nothing for my hassle

Good slices, but really Appreciate the excellent customer service I saw while waiting on my three pep and two cheese slices to go. They don't have eat in space, but if you're going here you can count on quality food and great community friendly people!

Yum.

After my not-so-sparkly review, both owners of DPC contacted me to apologize for my experience and update me on actions they took to improve customer service. I tried them again and the pizza was delicious and the service definitely improved! I am a fan again :)

  • Jon H.

Great thin crust pizza. We ordered the 5280 and it was delicious! Just the right amount of toppings, tasty sweet sauce and crispy crust. I really had no idea this pizza joint was here but glad we found it!

  • sarabeth D.

At Denny's diner, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner even on holidays and throughout the night. Denny's was initially spelled as Danny's but later it was changed to Denny's to avoid any confusion with Los Angeles based coffee chain Coffee Dan. The main USP of Denny's diner is that the diner stays open round the clock and serves food even on holidays. Today, Denny's franchise outlets are operational in 1700 locations, mainly in the United States and other parts of the world.

Denny's expanded its operations across the United States after Pilot Flying J opened Denny's at their Truck Stop locations across the United States. Tying up with Pilot Flying J helped Denny's gain exposure and popularity across the United States as one of the best diners near freeway exits. Denny's is also among the healthiest diners in the United States. It recorded the fewest health inspection violations in a Dateline NBC segment called "Dirty Dining."
