We love this place because no matter what kind of experience we are looking for, this place can usually accommodate. Their dining area is always clean (not lots of dirty table waiting to be cleaned) with booth or table options, both comfortable, roomy, and spaced properly so your not right on top of another guest. They have a great bar if your looking for something a little more energetic, wonderful happy hour specials. In the winter we love to sit at the fireplace. This area is kind of an extension of the bar so it's a good option if you are looking to have a full meal, but want something more casual than the dining room. Their patio doesn't have the best view, but they've installed a fountain and have beautiful flowers in the summer; great for brunch. Big umbrellas and an overhang in sitting in the sun isn't you thing (that's me). Lots of different meal options with a great kitchen. They don't have a lot of vegetarian options, but the kitchen is very accommodating and the servers are incredibly knowledgeable. Drinks are tasty and they have a good wine selection.

We come here at least once a week, the best happy hour in town! The food is amazing & the service makes the entire experience perfect!
So very impressed with this place, I think I'll be back soon. It's located in a very unassuming area, right next to Wendy's. I picked this place because of the location -I was meeting a friend and it seemed to have pretty good Yelp reviews. I have to admit I was questioning my decision as I pulled in the lot. However, walking in, the place is super cute! Very nice decor and arriving around 630 pm on a Monday evening, it wasn't dead but definitely not crowded at all. Our server was named Kelley and he was awesome. The perfect mix of being present and attentive but not overwhelming and annoying. My pet peeve is having to stop eating to ask for a drink refill but this was definitely not the case here. They bring out warm bread and olive oil prior to your meal, which was a welcome surprise. The bread was warm and fresh and oh so good. It tastes like it's made fresh from a bakery. I got the veggie sandwich ($9.99) sans cheese and it was delicious. Again, the bread was awesome. It had some sort of hummus type sauce, which was mildy spicy (I'm very spice sensitive) but nothing that a few extra sips of water couldn't deal with. I got it with fries, which were just ehh. The other option to fries was coleslaw, gross. The fries are pre-seasoned, similar to Popeye's or Checkers but not as greasy. My friend got a salad (not sure which one) but it was a decent size and she enjoyed it. We waited about 15 minutes for our food, it was super quick. Our server also asked us if we wanted to splint the bill prior to bringing the check, another plus. They do offer a dessert menu, while I wasn't interested, our server mentioned creme brulee and a few other things, which I'm sure were awesome. They also have a happy hour menu but I didn't ask about it so I'm not sure about the specials. On the website it said that there is a drink minimum, so I immediately lost interest. I'm not much of a drinker but I love happy hour food specials. 4 stars for awesome and attentive waiter service and stellar food. Minus one star because my sandwich had onions on it, which was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. Luckily I'm not allergic but not cool with so many people these days with food allergies. Overall, a solid experience.

I'm not a hummus person so, your not going to hear about that. We did order fancy martinis. We had the mandarin martini, liquid therapy martini and chips and salsa and coconut shrimp just to pick at. Everything was very good. Service was good and we were very comfortable sitting on the patio. We will be going back for happy hour.

Good menu and good service. Stopped in yesterday with some girlfriends for drinks, erhm, I mean lunch. Bartender was very nice and made some nice specialty drinks for us. I had the lamb sliders with side salad. The sliders were a decent size and pretty delicious. Because the parking lot in surrounded by a couple of other businesses it is a little busy pulling in and out.

After reading the other reviews for this place, I'm surprised that our experience was so bad! The service was great, but the shrimp tostado that my friend ordered was uneatable. Really. All three of us tried the shrimp to confirm none of us could eat it. I wanted to send it back or just ask someone who worked there to take a bite to see his/her reaction. So sad, because it LOOKED great. I had the ahi tuna sandwich and it also wasn't good. I don't often have tuna, so I have nothing with which to compare. We won't be returning there, which is a bummer because there aren't many restaurant choices in that area of town.

I come here whenever I end up on this side of town. The happy hour in the bar area has some great specials (but it should be noted, it is only in the bar area). They have small plates and burgers for great prices, around $5, also good drink specials, also about $5 for some cool cocktails. The other night we sat in the dining area for a change. Missed out on happy hour deals but wanted to sit in a booth. I find it a little odd that this restaurant is so divided, totally different ambiance, drink menu, and food menu. The orange mojito ($7) here is so good! We ordered the chicken taco appetizer. These are taquitos, not tacos. They were good, it was a small amount of food though. My boyfriend ordered a ahi tuna burger which was epic! I will always be back, but will most likely linger on the happy hour side.

Love this place!! Food and drinks are excellent and if you are looking for a very affordable happy hour too this is your place! I love supporting locally owned businesses and knowing how hard these guys work makes it that much easier too spend my money here. Some of the friendliest bartenders and waiters that are always very attentive and personable. We always go on either Friday or Saturday nights but I have heard they also have an awesome Brunch. Rex and Zach also make the best Margarita around town!!

I have eaten here many times and it never has disappointed me. Service is phenomenal, food is of high quality and is cooked perfectly. I have tried a variety of dishes and WOW!! Great atmosphere too! If you are looking for a place with exceptional service, food and a place to be able to sit and talk, this is it. Great place for dates or couples! If you are a guy looking for a place to take a date, look no further. If you are a couple looking for a great place for "date night," this is the place. Dimly lit but not creepy and just a fabulous experience. This is even a place where you can eat comfortably by yourself. Great set up!!
Food is above average. Service is helpful can be slow depending on occasion. I've had four star dinners and three star worthy dinners. I'd recommend the coconut shrimp with the mango sauce. That is probably one of the best shrimp apps I've put in my mouth. All in all, they've been extremely accommodating when I've arrived for a quick bite closer to closing time. I'd recommend to come and try for yourself! Worth a visit

Amazing. Great burgers, Even better Sunday Brunch. Sunday Brunch has $3 mimosa's $2 Bloody Mary's and sweet muffins served at your table. The food is always on point and made to perfection. Holiday and special occasion menu are always sure to please... Servers are funny and very happy.

My husband saw the Yelp rating on this one and thought we should check it out for my birthday. We walked in and immediately I was panicked. It was 5:30pm and this place was almost completely empty, there was one table with 2 people at it... and us. This should have been clue #1. The interior looks like an old, run-down Denny's or something. The bread plate was chipped and sharp, and the napkins were dated, all of this should have said "run" to me, but I ignored that and just waited for the great food I knew would be coming. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with no broccoli. It came out, with broccoli, now our waiter smelled like he might have a second job at a dispensary (or he had just taken a little "smoke" break) so maybe he forgot that I had made this request. The broccoli wasn't drained at all and juice was running all over my plate. Despite all of this, the chicken looked really great, I could see that it was dipped in house. I took a bite, hoping for the very best, and it just didn't work out. The chicken had that sort of squeaky, "I've been frozen for a while" kind of feeling in my mouth. The potatoes may have been from a box, but they were decent either way. I didn't eat, sent my food back and left. Not a great experience, and certainly not one I would recommend to anyone else.

We came here for Easter brunch this year. It was a last minute reservation and we were thankful that we were able to find a table...as well as a bit concerned since Easter was only two days away. Food was plentiful, but nothing amazing. Honestly, most of the fare seemed like items available at a casual buffet like Golden Corral. So at $34.95 per person, non-alcoholic beverages NOT included, it seemed a bit over priced. And the tip jar at the omelet station was a bit off-putting. Our server was friendly and made sure our beverages were refilled and sitting on the patio was nice, even though the view was of Hampden. All in all our experience was A-OK, and we were happy to grab a table somewhere. However I don't see myself returning soon.

This review is specifically for the Happy Hour. It's an amazing affair. It lasts until 10 pm! Probably the best we've found in Denver. A great selection of delicious HH food specials. Some are gourmet (mussels, coconut shrimp), some are Greek (hummus, chicken kabobs) some are American favorites (wings and burgers). Everything we've tried has been yummy. We've been there about 15 times. Import and Craft Drafts are $3.25. Bottles are $2.75.

Ate here today for lunch for a work function. We had a choice of 5-6 entrees and 3 desserts. Ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Pasta. Sad to say that it wasn't very good. Lacked any flavor, had to add lots f salt & pepper and I never add salt & pepper! Finally got to the dessert & tried the chocolate cheesecake and the citrus berry. The cheesecake was delicious, the citrus berry was just ok. Wait staff was nice & friendly. Speedy service. Just not sure the food is worth it.

Awesome! Try the fried avocado. The portion is good (6 pieces). I had the chicken piccata and it was prepared perfectly. It was served with linguini and fresh satayed veggies. Delicious. Expansive gluten free menu, so my wife had lots of choices. My son had the flatiron steak and is was perfect. Generous portions and reasonably priced.

On Easter the owner basically told me he would make more money using a table for 6 adults instead of giving me seat space for my 2 kids to sit with four adults. They tried to put two high chairs on the end of a booth with the adults trying to get around them to go back and forth to the buffet. What? I made the reservation a month in advance and specifically asked about children. Honestly the owner was downright rude and unpleasant, completely unsympathetic. Cares about money, not about his customer. It's too bad because I think the happy hour here was decent but I would never pay another penny towards his pocket. We had to scramble to find another place to eat- went to Landry's which was delicious and SO friendly to us. I recommend Landry's.

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. I live really close and had never been but i always see the parking lot full especially on the evening. My fiance and i decided to check it out and we definitely were in for a treat, with seeing how busy it had been before we made a reservation but it wasn't necessary because we were seated right away. The restaurant itself is really beautiful and i love the decor very intimate and romantic.. the staff was very friendly and the food was great and the bread and olive oil pesto was really good. We will be back.

Happy Hour addict at this place, and frequent Wednesday Prime Rib Night special goer. Roasted Feta is awesome, as are their wings, and $3.50 double cheeseburgers (can't beat that) on the HH menu. Their Mussels small plate is also very good - served in a spicy garlic white wine tomato sauce and sausage. My husband's favorite is their Spicy Hummus. I love when they have Man Beer on tap, Chain Breaker is my go-to second. TV's are small around the bar so not my first choice on game days, but love the fact that this place is not a chain, with some Greek influence on the menu.

Not happy with brunch the food was good but the service sucked! Their were 7 of us added 18% I had to ask for more sprite he never filled waters or got my grandad more ice tea the price was not what was on the website $2 more 18% is a lot for buffet especially when nothing was done oh we also took our dirty plates and move them to another table so we had room. The food was good eggs Benedict was my favorite and i do love the sea food

Went to happy hour here last night with some friends and discovered one of the best kept happy hour secrets just north of the tech center. Prices for food and drink in the bar were great and it goes on until 10pm! Portion sizes were more than generous. I've added it to my list of happy hours that I'll frequent.

Great lunch specials, the portion was perfect. Our waiter (an older gentlemen) today was very nice, helpful, and outgoing. I stopped by today for lunch with my mom today and had a gyro, was really quality and awesome atmosphere. We will definitely be going back soon. Definitely worth checking out.

This is a very friendly and even family friendly suburban restaurant with a fairly large menu typical of a greasy spoon/Greek restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and the service is prompt and kind. Given that I work in the area, I've ended up here on a few different occasions. I've had the gyros, various salads and the sliders. The fries are extra tasty and are seasoned well. Citron also has a decent happy hour menu and drink prices. It's a nice choice for the area, particularly if you're looking to avoid chains, but I might suggest other places first, such as Bagel Deli or Tazikis. Good enough, but not somewhere I would seek out.

Good luck getting a table! Showed up for lunch at 1 pm on a Sunday. Restaurant didn't seem extremely busy. Waited by the door to be sat for the better part of 10 min. I asked the bar tender twice if anyone was able to seat a table. He was polite and said he would grab someone. In the meantime two more groups gathered at the door to be sat. Also wondering if there was a hostess. We left. It shouldn't be that hard to get sat. We hear this place is good but wouldn't know. I shouldn't have to work this hard to give them my money.

Not a bad spot... Happy hour prices and hours are great $5 a moscow mule... can't beat that!! the food was good and filling ... I wasn't impressed by the wings kind of under cooked for my taste, but I'm open to try anything else. I've heard the lamb shanks are very good! also ... if you like a good Bloody Mary they make them right...

Love it! Great place to meet friends for a drink and appetizers or stay for dinner and wine. Although the building is very unassuming from the outside, once you enter the atmosphere is more like something you would find at the trendy bistros downtown and that is refreshing in an area that is lacking any "cool" places to eat. The menu has mexican/american flare and the prices are very reasonable. Add that to the cozy and trendy atmosphere and great customer service and you have a little hidden gem. Be sure to try the fried avocado...Yum!

We had our annual x-mas party here and they were very accommodating! We were able to get a semi-private room and there was excellent service for 20 of us. we enjoyed the many different appetizers and they were very good. The salmon was wonderful and all of the ladies enjoyed their plates as well. It is definitely a place for friends and fun!

Went here for a business Dinner upon a recommendation.Citron bistro is not a place I would recommend for a business dinner setting. This is your average restaurant, a step above the chain restaurants but not a fine dining cuisine experience. The menu has a variety of items and they are all a hearty portion that will fill you up without making you feel bloated and that you stuffed your face. Citron is not a place I would make into a destination restaurant but if I was in the neighborhood I would drop by again.

Just had an amazing time at Citron Bistro!!! Our server Rex was bomb dotcome. Highly accommodating and respectful, he was also full of energy and personality. Love his service, however the only thing to match his service, was the quality of the food.. Exuberant flavors, brilliant presentation.... Definitely will be back!!

The gyro had the distinct flavor of microwaved meat. And for anybody from Texas, order the fries! They'll remind you of Texas Burger's, as they are the EXACT same thing. Fries by Cisco, meat by GE. The wife's mediterranean pasta was good though.

My husband and I dropped into Citron Bistro for a quick lunch. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but it took several minutes for the host to greet and seat us and several more minutes to catch the attention of our server. As we waited for service, the decor really caught my eye. Citron has done a great job with renovating the old Marie Callendar's building to a modern and classy restaurant that seems to appeal to a business crowd. I ordered the lunch special which was New England clam chowder and calamari sliders. The chowder was just how I like it -- thick and creamy. Unfortunately, it tasted like Campbell's canned chowder versus homemade. The fried calamari sliders were a disappointment. They were bland and even the fresh aioli couldn't save them. All-in-all, Citron may be a good place for business lunches. They offer a nice space with interesting lunch specials. I think they just need a little more practice developing their flavors.

We had a great dinner tonight. It was very tasty and well presented. We had the pistachio crusted seabass, lamb shank (it was little cold, but tasty) and the lemon pepper chicken. The only thing that I didn't like is that my table didn't have a tablecloth because they ran out, for a valentine dinner it would look better. Also, I asked for a napkin and the bus boy brought it to me without being folded, for a second I thought that it was probably dirty.

A favorire place for the wife and I. We have been going here since they have opened and love the food. They also have great happy hour deals in the bar or on the patio. The spicy humus is the best I've ever had. We get it every time. They also bring you fresh bread with oil and tempenade. Service is always great.

Booked a group dinner event with Citron in January. When I made the booking, It was sure, no problem, we have you booked and I was instructed to call at the beginning of this month with a rough head count. Doing as instructed, I called Citron, only to find they had no record of our reservation and no room for us. #epicservicefail. I will never dine there and I hope nobody in our group does either. Terrible job!

Nice restaurant, great atmosphere and great service, but the food lacks in oomph as one might say. I mean its not bad by any means its just not something I would go back to have a meal again. Maybe I'm just picky?

The food is ok. The service is rude, pushy and inattentive. The specials are ok but regular prices are a bit on the high side for the quality of food you get. Note: the happy hour hamburger is not the same as their menu hamburger. Instead it's some pre-frozen burger that's hardly worth the calories.

I went here recently for a client lunch and it wasn't as terrible as all the other reviews lead it to be. I ordered the Roasted Beef Tender Salad and was pleasantly surprised at how perfectly cooked the meat was, the flavor was just right. My only complaint is that they didn't have any honey mustard as a salad dressing as I try to stay away from dairy. As for the service, it was almost spot on. The server was there when we needed to order and checked on us throughout to ensure our meals were the way we wanted them. The only detail he overlooked was my glaringly empty glass of water. I noticed that a getleman at another table was having the same predicament as I. Again, my overall was experience was good. I would be interested to explore other menu items such as the avocado fries (Haven't seen these outside of Seattle).

Brought the family here for a new years eve dinner. Very pleased. Some of the better food we've had in CO, We had everything from the Lamb Chops, Fillet, Short Ribs, Salad, Soup and Desserts. Our server was very friendly and polite, hell even the bus staff were friendly. I gave 4 stars only because the price of the food doesn't match the atmosphere. It's not bad, it's just not the upscale feel the food and service would lead you to expect.

Came here for a book club meeting during HH. They have a pretty decent menu for HH as well as nice drinks. I really like a place that has a regular HH on weekends as well. As we were a larger group, the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate us at a larger table, but still allowed us to order from the HH menu. The food was tasty and we had great service. I've been meaning to get back here as I would like to try out the dinner menu.

This is a fabulous place to eat. We love to go to happy hour there, especially on Saturday night when it is all night. They had great music, great jazz of the 30's and late 20's the night we were there. Service is great and I would recommend it to be one of the best happy hours in the south Denver area.

Terrible, gross, and never again! My wife and I went here on a date and after ordering our food we had to wait for over 80 minutes to get our food. We didn't even get to eat inside because our movie was going to start in the next 10 minutes. We ended up getting our food to go and decided to eat it in the car. I ordered a dish with meatballs and the food was so utterly disgusting that after two bites I couldn't finish it. I'm not 100% sure but I honestly think they served me cooked rotten meat. It's color was off, it's smell was off and it's taste was off. My wife's dish wasn't as bad as mine but she wasn't impressed and was so grossed out by we both saw in my meatball that she didn't finish her meal either. My wife and I now refer to Citron Bistro as the Chef Ramsey show, "Kitchen Nightmare." We will never go there again, ever, ever, ick.....

I've really wanted to try this place for awhile. After a friend had bragged about their Creme Brule nepolean I decide to take him to DRW with me. For an appetizer we got the Mushroom strudel and craw fish po boys. Both just simply davine. For our entrees we got this pasta in a to die for cream sauce with shrimp, lobster, muscles crab claws. It was very rich, but I couldn't stop eating it, I had to stop and rest and would not let the staff take my plate until every last morsel was gone. We also got the duck breast with Cumberland pomegranate sauce with extra fried duck skin. It was very flavorful and very hard to stop eating. We still had dessert coming with bread pudding and white chocolate pistachio ice cream. So yummy just not enough room for it all. Then we also had the creme brule Napoleon. It is defiantly the best creme brule I've had. I cant wait to go back. I have to say our waiter was pretty amazing. Very attentive, friendly and social. I just like the all around vibe of this establishment.

Everything on the menu looked great! I splurged on the smoked salmon platter, which featured the best English muffin I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside--yum! The platter, combined with complimentary mini muffins and promptly refilled hot coffee made for an unbelievable dining experience. Hank, our water, was very attentive and made us feel welcome. He said in all of his seven years at the restaurant, I was the only one to have finished the whole platter! (whoops!) The only thing that could possibly make this place better is lower prices.

Overall we were pleased. All 4 of us ordered the same thing - the ahi tuna sandwich - and the fish was fresh, meaty and properly seared to our request of either rare or medium rare. 3 of us requested gluten-free buns which were also pretty good. The service was attentive and personable. We've been to Citron occasionally in the past and have never been disappointed. Their Happy Hour menu is also good but we did not want to have to sit in the bar or on the patio to order off it (they were pretty particular about this). All in all - give them a try. We had nothing to complain about and will likely return when in the area.

Headline: Good Stuff, but a little out of the way This restaurant is a little out of the way, next to a cemetery, down the street from the Whole Foods on Hampden. It's actually really easy to get to, but it's off the beaten path. I actually made reservations - don't know what I was thinking, since it was really easy to get in - quiet, even. The place is your average bar + restaurant, with a little patio (although not much to look at when you are on the patio). We started with drinks - they serve the usual assortment plus a reasonable selection of wine and beer, including wine by the glass. We opted for something we don't see everywhere - ginger beer. Made by Golden, this ginger beer is completely clear, has a nice ginger bite and is very refreshing. As is normal, we got a bread basket - a nice collection of warm whole wheat bread - tasty. It came with a mix of olive oil and some sort of anchovy-based tapenade (at least that is what it tasted like). Our soup course was a roasted red pepper soup with shrimp. A warning here - the soup is a fish soup - it tastes way more fishy than the name suggests. I liked it - my wife thought it too fishy. The bread goes particularly well with this soup though. The crackers didn't make it out of the bag on this one. I ordered the Tilapia special - which needs a tweak. First, the bad thing - the fish. It was seriously overcooked, to the point of dryness. I didn't enjoy this at all. The good part was the rest of the dish. They had a spicy red chili sauce and a black bean puree doing a ying nd yang thing on the plate, with a polenta cake to soak it all up and some nicely cooked asparagus for a garnish. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin gyros, which came with fries. I'm not sure why restaurants are dipping their fries in batter these days, but I don't like it. These were better than most, but still disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was the gyro - the tenderloin was excellent and the tzatziki sauce was refreshing. Overall, a keeper, but I need to try some more stuff here.

Came here for brunch after church with the boyfriend. I immediately liked the atmosphere and the service we received. It was very laid-back and chill., yet the service was attentive and quick. I loved that instead of a bread basket, we got a plate of mini muffins (in different flavors!). We ordered the Eggsadilla and Mediterranean Omelette. Both were really good portions and delicious. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Each came with a cut of pineapple - so juicy and sweet! And the price was really nice! It came out to be less than $30 for the two of us. Will definitely be frequenting here often :)

Citron is a nice restaurant with some nice decor and very polite service. Decent menu and decent prices, but overall it just seems boring. I asked the server for a recommendation and the turkey avocado club was recommended. I was not impressed and there was even a little variation with a herb aioli added. It just didnt have that wow factor you would like to compliment such a pretty restaurant. My wife had the calamari sliders which is adventurous, but it was pretty bland. They had some waygu sliders that I might want to try next time. I would go back and they have coupons quite often, so hopefully the other menu items are much more flavorful.

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this place, but we did limit ourselves to the happy hour menu. All of the appetizers we tried were excellent. I can't review the entrees, but the happy our prices cannot be beaten.
Found this place while perusing the area for lunch. I was hoping to see more vegetarian options, but there was pretty much only one entree for me. It was the grilled veggie sandwich. It was just ok. Didn't have a lot of flavor to it and the piece of lettuce on it was so huge I had to cut around it just so I could handle the sandwich. Fries were really good. Loved how crispy they were. I also tried their white chocolate cheesecake for a dessert (since I didn't eat enough of the sandwich to really fill me up). It was amazingly good. Service was a little slow for lunchtime. I ended up being late back to my training class because of it. But my waiter was very nice. If you're here on a warm day try eating out on the patio. It's really nice out there.

We decided to check out Citron Bistro as one of the restaurant's participating in Denver Restaurant Week because their set menu looked delicious. We made a reservation for 7:00pm on a Saturday and had to wait about 15 min for a table. They were pretty slammed. Once seated, we also had to wait for 15-20 minutes for our server to take our order. She apologized as they probably weren't expecting to be so busy. Everything was amazing and our server was VERY attentive throughout the evening. The grouper was fabulous and their chocolate bread pudding and creme brulee were outstanding. A true gem that we will visit again. The noise level was very high, so it would not be the best spot for a quiet romantic evening.

Came here for lunch when every other place nearby was closed for Labor Day! Wasn't sure what to expect (didn't have any expectations). I ended up ordering off the Specials menu for the day. It was a talapia with a briliiantly creamy sauce, rice and veggies. Sounds simple but it was SO DELICIOUS!! My lunch mates had a salad (can't remember each one) and thought it was good, nothing over the top crazy though. Service was good. We sat outside - they have a lovely outside patio with plenty of tables, some in the shade and some in the sun. I probably won't be going out of my way to come back here but it's definitely a good place to eat in the area!!

If you can get over being escorted to your table by the host/ undertaker who seems so unhappy to have to walk a customer to a table (we went two days in a row and it was the same odd behavior both days, maybe it is his shtick I don't know) you will find that your drink is refilled constantly- the fries are amazing, crispy and seasoned outside, soft and fluffy on the inside- the hamburger is top quality beef- all produce is super fresh with tomatoes tasting like tomatoes and everything else crunchy.

I guess that reviews are fully dependent upon when you have the experience. While I stand by my earlier review about the dinner that we had, the Mother's Day brunch SUCKED!!! I would never eat brunch here again. For $33/adult and $14/10-years and under (thus, the 12-year old with us that ate three pieces of bacon and some eggs cost us $33), I expect some really special and delicious food. The food was just so-so and comparable could be had at half the price elsewhere. What I do not expect, is to be charged extra for cups of coffee and OJ. You read that right, coffee and orange juice were extra. Are you fucking kidding me? No complimentary mimosas for mothers? Really? No flower for Mothers? Sad! Overall, I was responsible for a party of 11 trying Citron for Mother's Day Brunch. I feel embarrassed and insulted by Citron. I shan't make that mistake again, and you would be foolish to do so, too, knowing what I just told you. Stay away from Citron Bistro for brunch! This experience was so bad, that I doubt that I will return for dinner again.

I really wanted to try this place for a couple years now and was very excited when my boyfriend surprised me with dinner here but overall, I really wasn't impressed. The staff seemed lazy and unfocused. We barely saw our server and when we did, he acted really strange which made both of us very uncomfortable. We both had pasta so that we could share. The Mediterranean pasta was okay. It seemed a bit bland or like it was missing something else. An the green beans were not good in it. The fettuccine Alfredo was also missing something but I can't quite put my finger on. I had rather gone to olive garden and gotten a better dish! Not sure we will be going back to this place again.

Visited here for a family happy hour recently and had a good experience. We sat in the bar area as it was too windy to enjoy the patio but definitely will be an option next time. Happy hour pricing is excellent for both food and drinks; 5 of us totaled under $60 with a couple of appetizers as well as everyone's food and drinks! Was fairly busy but our waiter was as attentive as we needed him to be and food was fresh, yet extremely fast. Several had the burgers which were juicy and decent. Seasoned fries were excellent. The spicy hummus was spicy for some and bland for others and comes with pita bread. Chips were overly seasoned with a southwestern seasoning but the flavor was still okay; however, the accompanying salsa was bland for my taste. By the time we left it was pretty packed in the bar, however the restaurant side wasn't busy. Happy hour pricing is only available in the bar and patio areas so know that before you choose where to sit! All in all, good experience; somewhere I'm sure we'll stop by again.

Their motto is "Serious food, casual atmosphere." Boy oh boy was it fabulous! Perfectly cooked and well presented food that was absolutely delightful! I had the ciopinno and hubby had tilapia. Both were delicious and ever so tasty! Great wine selection too. Highly recommend this gem.

There were eight of us who were in Denver for the whole week. Perfect excuse to find a new place and try it out. I yelped and found this place and I made the reservation at this restaurant for the eight of us. The ambiance was really good and classy. The server was really good and she kept coming back and asking everyone for drinks. No one was on time so she had to come back after each person walked in. She was really sweet. The food was really good too. The pasta, the fries that I had ordered were well cooked and were great. Other people also liked their food that they had ordered. Overall it was a good experience and will definitely go back there when I am back in Denver.

Decent happy hour A friend and I came here late one afternoon on a spur of the moment decision after seeing it off of Hampden. We ended up sitting outside on the patio since it was a great summer day. The timing of our arrival couldn't have turned out more better, because it was right in the middle of their happy hour. Our server greeted us promptly and came us a happy hour menu which had some really great decisions. For $3, you could get a double cheeseburger and fries! The happy hour menu ranged with a variety of appetizers and sandwiches all priced between $3, $4, and $5. Drinks off their mixed drink list are also half off and they had $2 beers and $3 glasses of wine. I decided to go with the prime rib dip sandwich and the chicken souvlaki. My friend decided to go with the double cheeseburger and fries. The prime rib sandwich was average, but for $5 what could you expect. My friend's burger and fries, however, is a great deal. My friend didn't rave about his burger, although the portion size of the plate was enough for one person. For the price and selection of their happy hour, you can't really get any better with what you get. The regular dinner menu seemed kind-of overpriced for the quality of food that one would expect from the quality of the happy hour food. It was a decent experience with slightly above average food.

I live down the street from this place, and love taking people here who have never been, plus I get my friends on my side of town and off south broadway for a night! :-) The specials I have had were always great. The service is friendly, but can be slow if the place is packed. (Fridays and Saturdays)- I did just drive past and seemed pretty packed for a Wed. Night. Great Happy Hour and Weekend Brunch specials. The decor is inviting. The bathrooms are clean and have mouthwash, femm products etc. (for the ladies room...haven't tried the men's yet, but my date said In total man voice" yeah they are ok..it's a bathroom..") We went here for a special birthday dinner and they were very nice to our large rowdy group....the bill was not as bad as we were expecting with 10 of us... drinks, apps, main course, and desserts...

Ugh, I hate the suburbs. However, I feel bad making my suburb-dwelling friends meet me downtown every single time we get together, so I compromised this past Sunday and ventured out to Citron Bistro. The patio is where it's at - the restaurant itself is too dark and depressing for a nice summer's eve. Even better than the lovely patio were the happy hour food and drink prices. Personal pizzas for $5 and a large assortment of small plates for even less than that?! No arguments here!! Specialty cocktails are $5 also, and the Moscow Mule(s) were delicious. The service was not great - come to think of it, I can't even remember if we had a man or a woman helping us out. It wasn't terrible, just incredibly un-memorable. Oh well. I am (and will continue to be) a sucker for a good happy hour!

I brought in 30 business colleagues for dinner. My office manager recommended this place. I was pleased. My T-bone steak was more like a Porterhouse and cooked just right. Everyone said they enjoyed dinner. I heard zero complaints. The service was good and on top of it. I hope this place continues to do well.

Hopefully this was just a bad night. This has always been my favorite "go to" happy hour place with a friend. Went in last Tuesday night. The roasted Feta is no longer on the Happy Hour menu - has slid over to a "small plate" for twice the price. The fancy cocktails we were told were not at happy hour prices either. I had two of my favorite Mandarin Orange Martinis in a relatively short period of time - could not taste a bit of alcohol. Supposed to be 3 varieties in one of those drinks. The waiter didn't ask us if we wanted food - had to literally physically flag him back down (away from his buddies) to order after he brought our drinks. Then - last but not least at 10:30 the lights are turned out around us and we're shown the door "time to go!" in a technique I've seen used by football coaches to clear the playing field. There was another couple who was also herded out. Guess the family was tired and ready to go home on a slow night? What the hell has happened to my favorite little place? New waiter/bartender who seemed far more interested in visiting with his buddies back over at the bar than actually serving people - then the group appeared anxious to pack up and take THEIR party elsewhere. OUCH. My feelings are hurt and seriously wondering if I'll ever go back.

Lots of family was in town so a low key, non busy was mandatory. Food was solid. Waitress was fairly sassy actually, not mean just sassy. Weird that they asked me how I wanted my salmon cooked. Uh. Cooked? If you follow my reviews I have a grandma rating and this is outstanding on that scale. Nothing on the menu was scary but they did a couple of nice twists on classic dishes.

I went here for brunch last Sunday. It was solid. The food was good but not amazing. I'm giving it 4 stars anyway because it was a great place for a group (there were 10 of us on a Sunday around 11a and we didn't have to wait for a table) and the waiter was super friendly. Everyone in our group liked there food and some people even said it was above average. I have a greek scamble that was nothing special but I still really enjoyed the experience, thought the food was well priced and liked the atmosphere.

I hate here this past Tuesday for dinner while I was in Denver for business. It was just down the road from my hotel. I grew up in an Italian family so I ordered the Cioppino and I was very pleased. It was absolutely awesome and for dessert the white chocolate cheesecake was to die for. I also enjoyed the pre-entree bread with the olive oil. I ate outside on the patio. Not much of a view, this place is kind of in a business district, but the breeze was pleasant.
I met my friend for dinner. It was a nice summer night so we sat on the beautiful patio. The staff was great, and our waitress Steffany was very helpful. They have some good happy hour specials be we had just missed out on those. We ordered a couple of beers and checked out the menu. Everything looked great. I had the sea bass with crab citron sauce. It was so good. My friend had the chicken linguini and a side salad. Everything looked fresh and she said it tasted good. We opted out of dessert but the citron berries and ice cream looked like it might be a winner. I will be back....maybe we'll try out the happy hour next time.

My husband and I came back here again last week. This time we came late evening and sat in the bar. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the bartender was very friendly and fun to talk to. Their happy hour is really good and has extended hours. I had the fish tacos and the humus. Both VERY good! My husband had chips and salsa and we both had a couple of beers. The price was very reasonable! Will definitely be back after lent when we are eating meat again.

Had lunch here in December (forgot to write the review) I had the Cuban style sandwich with fries and it was really good. The rest of the people in my party were very satisfied with the all aspects of the food as well. The restaurant is very spacious, very clean , and cozy. The service was excellent too, greeted by the owner/manager when we entered, our service was very friendly and conversational, she knew about the dishes on the menu. We were also thanked by owner/manager when we left. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

In my search for a location for Mother's Day brunch that wasn't Downtown or in DTC, decided to give this place a try. Firstly, they were nice enough to change our reservations (despite being fully booked) after we learned of our son's baseball game at noon (who schedules baseball on Mother's Day?), which left a good impression. We sat on the well-done patio on a gorgeous day. The buffet was one of the better ones I've ever had. The chef actually seemed to put thought into all the items and I didn't have one item which wouldn't have me going back for seconds. They had crab, shrimp, omelette's, and even mini breakfast burritos, to name a few. We were so impressed by the experience, we designated it our permanent destination for mother's day going forward (And I've been to countless high-end Mother's Day buffets through the years). I'm skeptical a regular meal will succeed in blowing me away as much as the brunch buffet, but obviously I'm going to head back sooner to give it a shot.

This place is literally the most happening spot by my place. I think they get half their customers by people just driving by and seeing how crowded the parking lot is (that's how they got me!) I have not been super impressed by the food after three times eating there, but the food is decent enough to keep me coming back to give it another shot. The BF always chooses better (the burger, a southwestern salad and mini pizza). The fries are exceptional, I can say that convincingly, and the happy hour prices are pretty good ($2.50 beers, $4.50 house wine, $3.50 wells and some select food items). I think this place wins out because of the atmosphere. It's a great date spot, group spot or bar spot. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

On the bright side: The Citron Bistro is clean and pleasantly appointed. There really aren't any bad tables, so you don't have to sweat getting stuck by the toilets or the kitchen. You can also sit outdoors if you prefer. We've eaten there several times, mostly lunch, and the food has consistently been pretty good. As for the not so great: We went there for dinner this evening, and I had their prime rib. I ordered it medium after being told it would be very pink. However, the meat I was served was closer to medium-well done. When I questioned the waitress, I was told that it was less pink than promised because it's dipped in au jus--which it definitely was not. The au jus at Citron Bistro is slightly thick, more like gravy. Had it been dipped before being plated, it would have been very obvious. Also, the gorgonzola mashed potatoes were bland and contained no gorgonzola. Small issues, perhaps, since the overall meal was fairly decent. But I don't like being lied to by overbearing waitstaff, so the tip was somewhat less than generous. The real disappointment was my dining companion's Mediterranean pasta with chicken for $13.99. It was light to the point of being downright chintzy, with very little chicken on it. It might have been an oversight on the part of the kitchen, but this plate of pasta was more like a child's portion than what you would serve a grown man. All things considered, the Citron Bistro is overpriced for what you get. Their lunches are probably a much better deal. I doubt that we would go back again for dinner.

Earlier this fall, while the weather was warm, I invited family to spend a nice afternoon having lunch on the patio of Citron Bistro. Many times I've driven by and thought the restaurant looked nice and inviting. Our experience wasn't great. When we walked in we were not greeted, the bartender yelled across the restaurant to a server who looked irritated to see us, took us outside, plopped two menus on the table and sloppily took our order. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and found myself surprised to encounter such poor service. The happy hour drinks were very average, the food average...the service (yikes). We decided not to stay that afternoon, finished our drinks and left. Also, while we were walking out one of the managers made it obvious with his body posture that he was "checking us out". I hope your experience is better than mine, but if you have a choice, look elsewhere before you spend your money here.

Tried the Easter Brunch, and was very impressed with the quality of the food, and it was all replenished regularly so it was all fresh. Everything from the crispy bacon, eggs benedict, crabs legs and meat station with ham, roast beef and lamb was delicious and the dessert bar with it's amazing variety of home-made goodies was to die for. This is one of the best brunch buffets I have experienced in Colorado. The wait staff were very attentive, and checked in with us regularly about the quality of the food, and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed - much better attention than you normally get at a buffet style brunch! This place obviously takes pride in the quality of it's food, none of it tasted like it was mass-produced - we will be back!

WOW, we couldn't believe how great this place was! It is in the building that used to house Marie Callendars, but they have TOTALLY remodeled and the place is gorgeous with hardwood floors Very Classy! The first thing they do is bring you this FABULOUS Olive tapenade ( don't even like olives) but this was to die for with their warm from the oven focaccia bread. They have 2 microbrews and they offered my hubby a taste of each before he ordered. I had a glass of pino grigio. We asked for recommendations from the very friendly waiter and I chose the jalapeno chicken pasta $14 and my date the $10 beef tenderloin special. WOW. The portions were HUGE! and my pasta was luscious & flavor filled not like the usual lots of noodles not enough stuff on it type. We then shared the Napoleon Creme Brulee' OMG!!!! This is like heaven in your mouth! Those are my two favorite desserts on the planet anyway.. but to have them combined! Well it's pure genius. The bistro is owned by two Greek brothers who introduced themselves and were very friendly and helpful. My husband spied their HUGE porkchops on a plate going by and he's going to try them next time we eat there.. and there definitely will be a next time!! The whole evening cost $44+tip. not bad at all for drinks dinner & dessert.

Decided to stop in over Restaurant Week and found the staff from start to finish, fabulous. Stephanie is a wonderful waitperson and was very personable and professional. We had the duck, seabass and lambchops. Everything was good, but the lambchops were some of the best we've ever had. Can't miss trying the mushroom strudel. Desserts? creme brulee napolean was the best. Try this place out, beautifully decorated and not too loud so you could carry on a great conversation. We'll go back for sure.

Hmm.. i've been 3 times.. the 1st time was simply amazing! awesome food from the HH menu and the drinks were tooo damn tasty! the last 2 times tho.. was another story.. i want to really like this place but the consistency.. is not there.. weird because the 1st time I came they were 30 min from closing.. and the other 2 times were a bit earlier. The orange mojito is DELISH! I really want to give a higher rating.. but the lack of consistency really does hurt.

Food was tasty - bit on the pricey side. Most dishes were good - one fish dish lacked flavor. Server was slow, inattentive, and had to be tracked down while it was a pretty slow night.

I've only been here once, but I used to go to Seasons (same ownership I believe) and it is similar. Food was good. I had a chicken pasta dish, nicely done, and I liked the walnuts in the dish. I'll try something different when I return. This place won't be high on the list of recommendations for out-of-towners, but it's solid and a little better than run of the mill.

My husband and I ate there last night on the recommendation of one of his coworkers. The ambiance was nice; warm, mellow, and very chill. We were greeted, seated, and offered a drink menu within our first five minutes, which is definitely a service plus. Our menu choices: Appetizer - Roasted Feta (Delish!) Entree for him - Bistro Club (He's eating his leftovers as I type this. Win.) Entree for me - Paella (Authentic, fresh, and flavorful) Dessert - Creme Brulee Napoleon (We shared. Pretty damn tasty.) Drinks - Hefeweizen for him, Cosmopolitan for me Bottom Line - delicious food, excellent service, and overall great time. I highly recommend checking this place out. We will definitely be repeat customers.

The restaurant is clean and the staff nice, but I just couldn't rate this place any higher. For me, the food didn't taste good. The menu selection is small and nothing really seemed appetizing to me. I ended up ordering the linguine dish with shrimp. The basil flavor overwhelmed the whole dish, so I basically ended up just picking out the shrimp and eating those. This place just doesn't suit my taste buds at all.

I went here twice and I really liked it. Their food is good and the atmosphere is very nice. The drinks are strong. However, the desserts aren't very good. I would go somewhere else to satisfy my sweet tooth.

It categorizes it self as Mediterranean and has owners that were born in Greece. I was in the mood for some Greek food and thought I would try Citron Bistro for lunch based off this knowledge. If I only ordered the Hummus, this place would have gotten 5 stars but unfortunately I ordered the Beef Gyro. Shame on me for not reading the description, but I wanted me some Lamb! I felt like I was back in Chicago eating a famous beef sandwich on Pita bread. It was seasoned and flavored great, but put that Beef on some french bread and stuff my Pita with thick cuts of freshly shaven Lamb! Hummus was amazing though and highly recommend that.

LOVAH-Boy and I met our good friends here for Denver Restaurant Week on Saturday night. I was skeptical when we pulled into the parking lot and saw that the building resembled some now-defunkt chain restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised by the classy, warm interior. We enjoyed a Happy Hour drink in the cozy bar while we waited for our table. The Denver Restaurant Week menu offering gave you 3 choices for first course, 4 for second course, and one dessert offering. For the first course, L-B ordered the oven-roasted feta with kalamata olives and grape tomatoes. It was served warm, drizzled with olive oil and alongside warm pita bread. Simply delicious! It beat the pants off of my Greek Shrimp appy, which was just okay, but nothing to write home about. I'll tell ya what I WILL write home about. The rack of lamb chops: "Australian lamb, with an oregano walnut lemon pesto." They were succulent, tender, and perfectly grilled. I hardly noticed the gorgonzola mashed potatoes and the ratatouille-like vegetables that were served on the same plate. L-B ordered the sea bass, which he enjoyed, but for once I didn't want to steal his entree. The final course was a very unusual, but fabulous Creme Brulee "Napoleon" (apparently it's their signature dessert) - Layers of phyllo pastry with creme brulee and strawberry garnish. It was fantastic! I hope we're in this part of town again soon so we can try some other menu items. Oh, and just let me comment on the service. As it was the first night of Denver Restaurant Week, the place was extremely busy, and there were gaps in the service from the kitchen, however, our waiter was very attentive and kept us informed of our food's progress and kept our water and wine glasses filled and we never felt neglected at all. The food came out piping hot and fresh and we had a fabulous experience.

My wife says they have a great happy hour that's "definitely worth it for drinks, food and a few friends." I've not been but it's usually packed for happy hour. We have eaten there at least four times. Their dinners are well portioned, well constructed and tasty! My wife and I can have an appetizer, salads and part of our main dish for less than $60. I think they most expensive thing on the menu is $18. Their menu is diverse with Mexican sandwiches, fish, pasta, steaks, and a pinch of Mediterranean. If you're looking for a causal place to have good food and better service, this place will not let you down. I hear their brunch is good too.

Went to CB for 5280 week......lamb chops were great, everything else was ekkkk. Seared scallops were raw the 1st time and then too salty and then the 2nd round of potatoes were not even warm. The calamari was like rubber bands and the white chocolate cheesecake was stale. Disappointing ;(

We tried Citron Bistro the first time during 5280 DRW (Denver Restaurant Week). AWESOME experience!! The food is the best we've had in a while and we eat out a lot. Service started out slow and what I thought was a tad rude, but by the end of our dining experience, the waiter turned it around and we ended up leaving him a nice tip. Very much enjoyed the food and wine and desert. I think that it is reasonably priced. It is somewhat upscale. We will go back!

We had an enjoyable dinner at Citron Bistro. As another poster commented, from the outside this doesn't look like much, but inside is a different story. It is not a large place, but is well-appointed, pleasant atmosphere, and more importantly, great food. We ordered the Cioppino, 2 different salads (steak and salmon), the burger, the pork snitchzel special, and one of the chicken dishes. We also had the calamari and guacamole for appetizers. All of us enjoyed the food, finding it to be fresh, tasty, and cooked as we all ordered it. My husband did comment that the cioppino was different from that in San Francisco, but it was just as good. We used Open Table to make a reservation (7 for dinner can be a difficult find on a weekend night), and when we arrived we were greeted and taken straight to our table. We had a great waitress who was engaging and attentive, but not overly, to all of us. We did not opt for dessert because we were honestly full. But I'm sure it would have been good if we had tried. We will be back when in Denver again, that is for sure!

We ate here for dinner tonight. It's close to our house and we've always noticed all the cars parked outside this restaurant. The decor is very warm and cozy. Our server was great - very attentive and helpful. Our water glasses were never empty, which I appreciated. The feta appetizer was wonderful and I would definitely order it again. My boyfriend ordered a burger (which ended up being pretty dry) and I ordered the Mediterranean pasta. Overall, good comfort food, especially for the price.

Casual atmosphere, serious food. Pretty accurate assessment of the place. We went on Saturday night and it was PACKED. Happy hour specials are really great - 2 for 1 drinks! Prime rib special on Wednesday & Saturday nights is phenominal and a great deal. Atlantic Salmon is fresh and delicious, served with roasted vegetables and a sun dried tomato topping. I'd also reccomend the tenderloin special - medallions of tenderloin served a top crostinis - accompanied with two different sauced. Very generous portions. Saw the schnitzel special and am dying to go back to try it. Heard their lunch menu is equally as delicious - ceasar salad is apparently to die for. This place could be one of the best kept secrets of Southest Denver.

I enjoyed a nice dinner with friends at Citron Bistro. The patio was very inviting, and I wish the rain hadn't chased us indoors. As advertised, the restaurant certainly had a nice ambiance. The dish I had (shrimp linguine) was fresh, but nothing special. My fault, I suppose, for sticking with something safe like pasta. Also, and I hate to say it, but the service was a bit slow. I know, I don't like being rushed through a meal any more than you do. Personally, I think dining out should be the evening and not just the foreplay. Things were just a bit sluggish here for my taste. I think perhaps it's worth another try.

The wife and I have eaten here several times and it is OK...just that. With the exception of the Creme Bruleee/Phyllo Dough dessert nothing really jumps out at you. The service has been hit or miss, however, the atmosphere is always nice. Your Mileage May Vary.

I hate to give it an average rating but I've got to be honest. The place is very cine, the servers were nice, seemed like everyone there loved it, but I was just OK. I had the Citron burger and the meat was great, obviously a quality ingredient. It ultimately was a really dry and not so flavorful burger. it needs a saucy element of some sort. The fries were very tasty, but hey, you can get tasty fries anywhere. I'll try again for sure, I want to like it, just can't rave this visit.

Outstanding meal all around -- one daughter (and I) had cioppino, which was outstanding (fish and shellfish not overcooked, rich, smoky broth), other daughter had salmon with three berry sauce, son had a buffalo burger (kids!), wife had filet with blue crab. Ate outside (we were visiting from Texas, so being outside on a July evening without it being 100 degrees and bug-infested is a real treat). Same thoughts as others here -- great food, in a decent (not great, but decent) atmosphere.

We might not have tried this place from just looking at the outside. Kind of looks like a diner from the outside. The inside however is clean, bright and contemporary. The dining room is a large open concept with lots of windows. The dining room is also open to the bar area. Kind of a casual, neighborhood kind of place. The staff was friendly and attentive. This was a casual evening out and I ordered the pulled pork poboy on a ciabatta bread. The pork was in manageable pieces rather than shredded. It was topped with a mild barbeque sauce and coleslaw. Difficult to pick up- maybe impossible, but very tasty! My partner had the tumbleweed burger (buffalo). It was cooked just right & served with fries. Nice size serving & presentation. I also had a glass of Montgras Reserve- a cabernet/syrah blend. Very good choice! For dessert we had the signature creme brule napoleon and their Greek coffee. Perfect ending to a simple, but very good meal! We hope to return soon and try Prime Rib nite on Wednesday or Saturday!

The outside entrance to this place is filled with smokers. Obviously, the owners don't understand or care about the set-back space that is required of Colorado restaurants. Yes, there are happy hour specials which were a great deal, but the food was mediocre and the ambiance is dark and depressing.

I absolutely LOVE Citron Bistro. It maybe doesn't look like much from the outside and I might've never gone but my sister brought me there one night and I was very pleasantly surprised. I've been back a few times since and there's honestly nothing on the menu that I haven't been very pleased with. Tonight I had the hummus followed by the NY steak, both of which were absolutely perfect, but I haven't found anything yet that I wouldn't suggest someone try--you really can't go wrong. Great value in a date-quality or family-celebration restaurant with a well-balanced menu for most budgets.

Had the lunch special last Friday...half sandwich and soup. Sandwich was two tuna tacos which were awesome. Soup was tortilla. I recommend this special if they have it again. Overall, good food, friendly service and great atmosphere...definitely a restaurant to check out.

Went here for dinner and drinks with some friends on a Saturday night. As it was Game 7 of the Celtics vs the Heat we made sure to sit in the bar to catch the game on one of tvs. (They also have a very nice large room off the bar with tables and a tv or two but it was reserved that evening - no biggie as they were cool with us pushing a couple tables together in the bar.) Glad we sat there as it was right around Happy Hour and you only get that pricing sitting in the bar or on the patio. We went with a group of about seven and everyone got different drinks and meals and everyone was quite happy with each of them. I had the mussels - a happy hour special that's like $1 off the regular menu price. They were really good - great flavor and good crusty bread to soak up the sauce. Oh and they also had sausage slices in the sauce which added some heat. Only complaint is that about 10 or so of the mussels hadn't opened so were inedible. Had I still been hungry after eating the rest I would have pointed this out to the waiter but they really do give you a good amount of food so I left feeling satisfied. The BF got the steak and gorgonzola salad and really enjoyed it. I would, and already have, recommended this restaurant to people. The drinks were made well and strong and again the food was really fresh and tasted great. Oh and they serve Prime Rib on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If we are ever up this way again I'm sure we'll stop in - I'd love to see what they offer up for lunch and partake in sitting their patio.

Exceptional food, service and staff. Had a brunch for my sons graduation and it was outstanding. They also cater. Best value and food in the area. $4-$5 happy hour specials too. (Prime rib sandwich)

Our favorite weekend brunch place was packed to the gills so we tried brunch here. We were pleasently surpried how quiet yet kid friendly they were and how they were able to accomadate my dairy allergy. The food was great and the prices were reasonable ($2 Mimosas!). We are definately going back.

We thought we would try this place based on all of the great reviews. Our server was great but the food, well, All i have to say is that you people are crazy! This place has overpriced bland cafeteria food. The potatoes tasted like they were freshly made - right out of the box. The bread was grainy, chewy and totally displeasing. We all ordered the prime rib special. I was not impressed by the strange tasting vegetables or the fatty prime rib. The only reason this place gets two stars is due to the Tuesday night half priced bottles of wine. To give them credit they have a decent wine selection. If I come back I will most likely be drinking my dinner...

Better than you would expect for the location. Great variety on the menu. Good service too. Just plain old American food, from burgers to steaks to pasta and salads. Happy Hour is great too - $250 beers and the spicy hummus is worth the trip!

Terrible. Well, maybe not terrible. I did give it two stars. I guess it could have been worse. However, I in no way would recommend this over priced piece of you-know-what. What happened is I have a new job down on Hampden and I've been eating a lot of fast-food for lunch. Yesterday I decided I deserved a sit down meal. I walked in and looked at the menu. I should have known then because there wasn't a single thing under $10, but I wanted to treat myself. What I ended up getting was the lunch "special" which turned out to be nothing more than a little turkey sandwich. I could have gotten something three times the size and taste at Subway for half the price. That part was my fault. I had seen the menu. The worst part was the service. They treated me like I was a burden on them because I was a single diner. It's not like I was taking up valuable space. Whatever. That's why you never go to sit-down restaurants in the outskirts of the city.

The Happy hour at Citron bistro is as good as it gets for after work food and drink. I am beer guy and all the beers, both on tap and in a bottle are only $2.50 from 4-6:30pm every day of the week!. In addition, the huge double cheeseburger is just $3... beer, burger, how can you go wrong? That is what I perfer, for everyone else here are the other specials: $3 wells, $4 house wine and a bunch of great apps from $3-$5 ( prime rib sandwich, meatball sliders, spicy hummus, fish tacos, and many more)

My husband and I have been going to Citron since they opened. We love it there. The olive tapenade is yummy. The ranch dressing is very good as well. We usually get the flat iron steak. This comes with pico de gallo. This was absolutely delicious. We had the creme brulle desert with the phyllo layers. Other than the phyllo seeming to be a bit sharp in your mouth, it was yummy as well. We went for Thanksgiving in 2008 and the food was to die for. The turkey and gravy were so good that I couldn't stop talking about it. A year later, and I am still talking about it. We are going back this year. Can't wait!

The atmosphere is nice and the server is actually nice... my only problem was the food... which is kind of the reason to be on Yelp in the first place. House salad. Not good. Macadamia nut Mahi. Not Good. Beef Bolognese.. Not Good and a total joke. It tasted like the fine dining produced from a college kid who has never cooked for himself a day in his life. Corona-Rita. Could be made better by urself at home. I mean honestly, thats not hard. Now the good review... the Sangria was actually good. Thats It!

Went here for dinner with a co-worker while doing business in Denver. Was one of the best meals I have had in many years, and thus the 5 star rating. Food and ambiance were both great and the service was remarkable. Staff very friendly, new the menu well, made great recommendations and was excited about the food they served there which says something in itself. I highly recommend.

Been frequenting this restaurant . Had the paella the other day . It is great. Loaded with goodies, not like running from shrimp to shrimp. Owners are always friendly

Within an hour of moving to Denver, I found this place on my own! It was lunch time, and after I dropped off a few things in my new apartment, I drove down the street, looking for a place that serves healthy food, and I immediately spotted this cute bistro. I had a good feeling about it, and, boy, did I strike gold! I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich to go, and it was phenomenal! Real turkey and lots of it. Plus lots of avocado. I'll surely be back!

I LOVE Citron Bistro. It is right by my house and it's my favorite go-to spot for a quick dinner or a romantic long drawn out evening. The patio is my favorite place to sit because you get the cool breeze paired with the sound of the fountain they have going. I love it! The servers are friendly and well-versed. They know what they are talking about when it comes to the food. One of the owners I have met, named George, is absolutely great! You can tell he really cares about his food and his staff. He is always seen clearing tables, seating patrons, or relaxing in the lobby while overseeing things. I have had several different items on the menu and all are amazing. My favorite dish is the pistachio chicken salad and the roasted feta appetizer. Actually, anything with the feta cheese is to die for! They use a barrel aged feta that is creamy and so much different then store bought feta's. The bread they bring out before your meal is baked fresh in house daily and it is simply to DIE FOR. I would come just for that! :) They make almost everything from scratch and that shows. They have an awesome happy hour and everything is reasonably priced! The portions are large but not too large and the food is pretty, which I love. They do a pig roast (yes, a pig roast) outside every 3rd Saturday of the month. I am looking forward to trying it out in August! They also have prime rib nights Wednesdays and Saturdays! This place is a must-try and I absolutely love their unique twist of Mediterranean and Southwestern flavors. How awesome!

Hit Happy Hour up on a Sunday and enjoy a fantastic Greek experience on their patio! I'm definitely going back to this place. $2.50 beers and $4.00 specialty drinks along with a pretty good Happy Hour food menu. Their entree's looked amazing but we went with the multiple small items. Delish! A must try~

This little bistro and it's staff are just amazing. The owners, two Greek brothers have done a wonderful job at serving fantastic food in a pleasant atmosphere with reasonable prices. I have celebrated my past two birthdays here and always appreciate the free birthday dessert. I have shared this restaurant with my family and a group of my girlfriends who have all been very impressed. The outdoor patio with water fountain (where I had lunch yesterday) is one of the best patios in the area. Very relaxing and attractive. I love the tuna sandwich and the tenderloin Gorgonzola salad for lunch and for dinner I love the lamb shank. Don't miss the oven roasted feta appetizer or the great cocktails. The restaurant should be up for Denver's best kept secret award. I have been a regular customer here for over a year and a half. I love dining here and supporting such a great local business.

This place has to have the best happy hour in Denver! Food items from 3.50 to 6.50 and a prime rib sandwich that can't be beat. Many drink specials too. The place is classy, well kept and hoppin.

My girlfriend and I went there for dinner last night because we had a $15 off dinner coupon. I had the prime rib dinner which is the dinner special on wednesdays and saturday nights. It came with veggies, a sour-cream horseradish dip and gorgonzola mashed potatoes. It was the best prime rib I've ever had, and the best meal I've had in a long time. My girlfriend had stuffed pork chop which she said was pretty good. We got their dessert to go, which was so-so. The prime rib is what made my evening though, I highly recommend it.

First, let me provide the caveat that I have only eaten lunch at Citron. Overall, I think the place is good - I end up here a lot when I have to go out with a group of the gals from the office. I've had some hits and misses - the pasta is just okay; salads, while expensive, are absolutely delicious; desserts are AMAZING; sandwiches are just okay; some specials have been fresh and fabulous, others less so. Service can be a bit slow, but that could be the aforementioned group situation. Happy hour looks cool, and they have a nice patio and a beautiful interior. You'd never know it was in the old Marie Callander's on Yosemite. I think this place is certainly worth a try!

Last night we went to Citron Bistro for the first time with my neighbors. I drove past more than once but never cared to come in. Bad idea! I should've come here long ago. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. Food was not exceptional but very tasty. We didn't get the dessert because we were full. Maybe, next time. Service was friendly and pleasant. Prices are average. Next time we will all try different dishes just to check it out. But there deffinatly gonna be "next time".

Food is so-so... not great, not bad. Been there 3 times and all resulted in similar impressions. Kinda like catered food you'd expect attending a business meeting somewhere. I had high hopes for this place because it's in my neighborhood and I dine out so often. They spent lots renovating this old Marie Calendar restaurant and the ambiance is fine... but because I come looking for good food rather than ambiance, I cannot give more than 2 stars.

(5)Alex W.
Went here for lunch today and started off with the spicy hummus which was very good. For entrées, we had the Mediterranean pasta with chicken which was flavorful and light with tender white meat chicken. We also tried the tequila chicken pasta which was also tasty but not as good. We finished with their creme brule (can't spell it) which was good but different, more like a pastry. Our server, Kelly, was awesome, attentive, personable, and gave great recommendations. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because I was expecting more Mediterranean food but there weren't many options. Everything else was great though!

(4)Sandra L.
(4)Pixie M.
(3)terri v.
(1)Sasha L.
(4)Michelle F.
(5)Eric M.
(5)Vilma S.
Just love Citron Bistro! Went for the Pig Roast and Live Jazz Music and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the Roasted Pig plate and it was so good I forgot to take a picture of it. It was really nice to be enjoying dinner and listening to live Jazz. Made the dining experience even better. They are part of FiveStar so we were able to save 25% on our meal. We finished the dinner by sharing creme brûlée for dessert and it was very yummy. Parking is free and it is right around the corner from where I live, so very convenient!
(5)Ted S.
(4)F O.
(5)Sarah V.

(3)Steve M.
(5)Heather H.
(2)Todd R.
(5)Elisabeth D.
(1)Vanessa R.
(5)Jem C.
(4)nicole g.
(2)Samantha D.
Beautifully presented and delicious brunch, wonderful service, and great atmosphere... This place is a must if you're looking for an amazing place to have brunch! I can't wait to try out the rest of the menu!
(5)Kim J.
Went to happy hour here last night with some friends and discovered one of the best kept happy hour secrets just north of the tech center. Prices for food and drink in the bar were great and it goes on until 10pm! Portion sizes were more than generous. I've added it to my list of happy hours that I'll frequent.
(4)Mitchell F.
(5)Erin M.
(3)Ashley B.
(1)Ivy M.
(4)Siria S.
I had the Pistacio chicken Salad with a cup of the very delicious Avgolemeno. So very good
(5)J B.
(4)Cyn C.
(4)AJ G.
(3)Chris L.
I really liked the atmosphere, especially the lounge and fireplace in the lobby. The food was great, with ample serving sizes and the service was professional and courteous.
(5)Tabitha S.
(4)Joseph G.
The gyro had the distinct flavor of microwaved meat. And for anybody from Texas, order the fries! They'll remind you of Texas Burger's, as they are the EXACT same thing. Fries by Cisco, meat by GE. The wife's mediterranean pasta was good though.
(3)Miguel S.
Love brunch here ! Great service and the head chef is is passionate and good at what he does !!!!
(5)Alexis G.
(3)Joaquin V.
(4)Christine E.
Always delicious and great service! A very eclectic menu keeps you coming back. My favorite is the lamb shank. Nice atmosphere, always looks clean and classy. little pricey but we will continue to return.

(3)Max C.

Amazing menu, food and service!!! My favorite dish is the Greek Chicken Salad. The owners make every visit special.
(5)Terri J.
This is a fabulous place to eat. We love to go to happy hour there, especially on Saturday night when it is all night. They had great music, great jazz of the 30's and late 20's the night we were there. Service is great and I would recommend it to be one of the best happy hours in the south Denver area.

For the nieghbiorhood (which has nothing good in a culinary sense besdies Whole Foods), this place isn't bad. Coconut shrimp are excellent and the staff is always nice.

(5)Nicole S.
(4)Judi M.

(3)David B.
I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this place, but we did limit ourselves to the happy hour menu. All of the appetizers we tried were excellent. I can't review the entrees, but the happy our prices cannot be beaten.
(4)Lloyd P.
Most of my friends didn't recommend the Citron. I decided to check it out myself since I was close by and hungry. Ambiance was good, staff was polite. Ordered the Tequila chicken and Sea bass for our entrée. Tequila chicken was great. Sea Bass was horrible, seemed like the fish was taken out of the freezer and dropped on the pan, the outside was cooked and the inside was stuck together like rubber. I am not a fussy eater, but that dish killed my appetite and almost made me throw up. Our waiter did apologize and offered to take it off the bill and give us desert on the house. The manager/owner who sat us, never once came by to check or apologize for it. 3 stars for the polite staff, ambiance and the chicken. But you are not going to drag me back there.

(3)Scott L.
The main course was exceptional, especially for the price. About $50 for two including tip and drink. Nice environment and great service Logan!

(4)David G.
One of our favorite restaurants. Prime rib and creme brulee Napoleon are great. Service is also outstanding.
(5)Claudia B.
(4)Lo B.
(4)David S.

(3)Deno V.

(3)Amanda G.

Not sure how this place stayed under our radar so long, but about four years ago restauranteurs George Karas and Tom Karantounis created a wonderful restaurant called Citron New World Bistro. It is located in a space previously occupied by Marie Callender's near the intersection of Yosemite & Hampden. The restaurant's interior has been completely updated and has a fashionable contemporary decor with a stylish supper club ambience. The food is exceptional. We had the Cioppino & Seabass and finished with their house specialty dessert, Crème Brûlée Napoleon, and everything was outstanding! Denver native and Executive Chef, Andrew Martinez has spent time at many Denver restaurants including Baby Doe's, Simm's Landing, Off Belleview Grill, Manor House, and Season's and is doing great things with the menu at Citron Bistro. We found Citron Bistro through OpenTable.com where they are currently offering 1000 point tables. Citron Bistro will also be a featured restaurant during Denver's 5280 Restaurant event. Check out the 5280 menu at citronbistro.com/events/…

(4)Thomas K.

Its below average. A little expensive too.

Really good service with a blend of decent food. We will be back.

(4)Mr K.
Good drinks and superb dessert selection. The crowd can be real loud. Will be back during non happy hours.

Every time we leave, I want to hug the chef! Not only is the food amazeballs but the staff is great and the restaurant itself is lovely. Honestly, I don't have one critism....this is our new favorite restaurant!

Went to CB for 5280 week......lamb chops were great, everything else was ekkkk. Seared scallops were raw the 1st time and then too salty and then the 2nd round of potatoes were not even warm. The calamari was like rubber bands and the white chocolate cheesecake was stale. Disappointing ;(
(2)Savannah B.

(3)Josh T.
The wife and I have eaten here several times and it is OK...just that. With the exception of the Creme Bruleee/Phyllo Dough dessert nothing really jumps out at you. The service has been hit or miss, however, the atmosphere is always nice. Your Mileage May Vary.
(3)Mark S.
(3)Mark H.

(1)Barry M.
(5)Kelly P.

(4)Saundra S.
Exceptional food, service and staff. Had a brunch for my sons graduation and it was outstanding. They also cater. Best value and food in the area. $4-$5 happy hour specials too. (Prime rib sandwich)
(5)Cari D.
Our favorite weekend brunch place was packed to the gills so we tried brunch here. We were pleasently surpried how quiet yet kid friendly they were and how they were able to accomadate my dairy allergy. The food was great and the prices were reasonable ($2 Mimosas!). We are definately going back.
(4)Nichole W.
(2)Brad F.
Better than you would expect for the location. Great variety on the menu. Good service too. Just plain old American food, from burgers to steaks to pasta and salads. Happy Hour is great too - $250 beers and the spicy hummus is worth the trip!
(4)Cliff T.
(2)Marlena F.
The happy hour is a great deal and we think service is very good.
(4)Mitch K.
That is what I perfer, for everyone else here are the other specials: $3 wells, $4 house wine and a bunch of great apps from $3-$5 ( prime rib sandwich, meatball sliders, spicy hummus, fish tacos, and many more)
(5)Janet R.
Can't wait!
(5)Jenn L.
Thats It!
(1)Tom M.
(5)Fred K.
Been frequenting this restaurant . Had the paella the other day . It is great. Loaded with goodies, not like running from shrimp to shrimp. Owners are always friendly
(4)Cliff M.
Greeted at the door, friendly staff, quick service. A large menu to choose from, the food is excellent. Well worth a visit, I will be going back.
(4)Kat L.
(5)Melissa S.
(5)Kyle O.
Delish! A must try~
(5)Kristi Z.
(5)Bob J.
This place has to have the best happy hour in Denver! Food items from 3.50 to 6.50 and a prime rib sandwich that can't be beat. Many drink specials too. The place is classy, well kept and hoppin.
(5)Mattias L.
(4)Sara G.
(3)Tatyana G.
(4)Garret G.
great napoleon dessert
(4)J C.
