We were in Denver for a friends wedding and to get some skiing in. Carl and Bailey were amazing hosts! Anything we needed they made sure to have for us. Stayed for 4 nights and didn't want to leave. Carl makes homemade breakfast every morning and we were up at 7:30am waiting for the breakfast. He cooks amazing!!! Gourmet menu!!! Mouth watering!! The location is very centralized. Walking distance from the Denver Art Museum and 16th Street Mall. If you are in Denver stay here!!!!!!

Don't like the place...We LOVE this place!!! We live in the neighborhood & had Sunday brunch. OMG! French Press coffee, two types of juice in carafes on the table waiting for us when we sat down. Free refills, although they give you plenty. We sat in their LOVELY garden. Hate to write a great review because I don't want the word to get out. So relaxing...beautiful setting, nice private tables for 4 ( I hate feeling cramped) with lovely white table cloths & the place settings were over the top. The attention to detail was designer level. A little cream pitcher with matching sugar bowl. You never see that anymore. Food designed by the chef. No menu. I told him I didn't like sweets or eggs ( I felt guilty) he made me THE BEST brunch I have ever had with yummy fresh items. My friends had egg souffles that they cannot stop talking about. Best bread pudding EVER!!!! Both Baily & Carl (Owner) stopped by several times to check on us & visit a bit. The nicest people you will ever meet. Friendly yet not intrusive. BEG for the bacon. There is bacon & then there is bacon you actually want to marry. I want to get married to Carl's bacon! I don't know what he did to it, but I have never tasted something so good. Everything is homemade. It is creative. I am a food snob & this is the best brunch of my life!

What a great first B&B experience for us. Carl and Bailey were so sweet, accommodating, and are such great people. The daily breakfast in the mornings was 5 star quality. I loved it. There's juice and fresh fruit laying out. It was divine. We stayed in the Snowlover room. The mural was really nice and made us feel like we were in the mountains. The patio had a nice mountain peak view and the breeze at night sitting out there was really romantic. The shower was right in your room, which was weird but didn't bother us. You can hear people walking and talking in the halls FYI. Once they're in their rooms though you don't hear anything. For those who care, they had a memory foam mattress in the room. Those really hurt my back for some reason, just a consideration. I loved this place. It was in a great location with great people. Would definitely recommend to others.

The room was charming and cozy, and the breakfasts were amazing each day. Bailey and Carl were so warm and hospitable!

The Capitol Hill Mansion Bed + Breakfast is a true gem in Cap Hill, both for its lodging and cuisine. The brunch, cooked + crafted by Carl, is delicious (order the soufflé if it's on the menu) and the rooms are clean, cozy and full of charm + character. I can't wait to take a staycation here and have tasty brunch in the morning! Call to reserve your spot for brunch in advance as it is reservation-only.

Went for our 10-year anniversary during late fall and stayed two nights. The first night we spent in the Shooting Star Balcony Room. I am extremely hot-natured. I'm the girl who'll wear flipflops in January. But in the Shooting Star room, we were cold the entire night. I'd be shocked if the temperature ever reached sixty. The heater just couldn't warm the room. We asked to be moved to another room the next morning, and the owner at first accused us of leaving the balcony door open (which we did not). He did, however, move us to the Gold Banner Suite across the hall, where he turned the gas fireplace on high. The room was roasting when we returned from an outing. It must have been close to 90 degrees in the room (I was perspiring), and we DID have to open the windows for a bit to cool off the room to something in the mid-to-low seventies. Plus, the owner was cool and somewhat aloof the rest of our visit. The owner aside, we truly enjoyed the stay. Every breakfast was A M A Z I N G and completely homemade. Plus, they went out of the way to accommodate some special dietary needs. The eggs florentine was magnificent, and I have yet to taste anything as utterly perfect in flavor and texture as their chocolate scones. Oh, I could have hoarded the entire tray. The interior appointings of the B&B were lovely. Parking was slightly less than adequate. I'd recommend staying (if nothing more than for the exquisite breakfasts...and if you're a chocolate lover, be sure to request those scones when you make your reservation), just be prepared for the owner to demonstrate some displeasure, should you find a reason to complain.

I went here for the first few days of my honeymoon with my new husband and it was WONDERFUL! My mom bought the romance package for us, so they set up a carriage ride through Denver from our dinner, and left champagne and a delicious cheesecake for us in our room, as well as gave us breakfast in our room on our final morning there. The room was gorgeous--we stayed in the Pasque Flower room, so we had a great view, a REALLY comfortable bed and a whirlpool tub right in the third floor turret. The tub was so awesome we took a bath twice in our two night stay and came close to trying to squeeze in another bath before we checked out that morning. But the best of all is the staff--we were in and our frequently that weekend so I didn't get to see much of them, but every time I interacted with them they were friendly, helpful and really enjoyable to talk to. Not to mention that they make some of the best breakfast and coffee I've ever had. My husband and I love Capitol Hill Mansion so much that even as we were checking out we were discussing trying to save up to stay again on our anniversary next year. If you're looking for a BnB near Denver, I can't recommend this place enough!

I was in town for a family wedding and cousins stayed here. I came to visit and Bailey was so kind and funny and brought me coffee long after their breakfast hours had ended. The next day they let my cousins invite 5 people to breakfast and it was terrific. I know my cousins liked staying there and, from what I saw and experienced, I would considerate it for my next visit to Denver.

I adore this place! Very quaint and the owners are fabulous! Two men after my own heart! Love love loved them! Some of the room themes are a bit kitschy, but very clean and comfortable. Our bed in the "snowcap" room (I think that was the name) was soooooo comfy!! We even had a little balcony overlooking the street. Gorgeous when it snows! Every morning was a wonderful breakfast spread. Totally homemade! Seriously, these men work their asses off! Every evening there is a wine and appetizer spread. We met two of our now, best friends at one of these. So of course, Capitol Hill holds a special place in our hearts.

Just spent 2 days there and much enjoyed it. Lovely room and unbelievably fabulous breakfasts. One small complaint: The AC in my room was too cold and the room had no thermostat, so I had to ask the staff to adjust the temp, which never was quite right. Thiat said, if I come back to Denver, I will definitely stay here.

My husband took me here for new years so we could enjoy Denver responsibly, (do I get a payout Bailey's? hmm?). We had a room that I can't remember the name of that had a huge jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, (which was in the turret of the building). Very nice, however the bathroom was FREEZING, but they did provide a very good space heater. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the staff was friendly. I love the decorative gourds they have up for Xmas. They even provided dental floss for a perilous moment where I had a ring stuck on my finger....

This place is amazing! The food, location, room, owners, and business philosophy here are superb. I first visited this place when they hosted a charitable event (free of charge) and were so welcoming and hospitable the entire time. They left rooms open for us to tour. The rooms are all set up differently, while it isn't my decorating style, very true to B&B decor. The food is great and you feel instantly welcomed and relaxed upon entering. Definitely recommend it to visitors looking for a non-commercialized stay in Denver. It's in walking distance of downtown and also the quaint cap hill neighborhood.

A nice B&B located about 10 min. walk away from the 16th St Mall. Fresh breakfast every morning was a little heavy on syrup, but the pastries were delightful. We didn't like the country living decor that seems to pervade most B&Bs. But, we did enjoy the feeling like we were staying at someone's house. We stayed in the Gold Banner room, which has a tub in the corner of the bedroom. Yes, that's right, a tub. From shower to bed in less than 3 feet. You can either think that this is poor architectural planning, or the most rockstaringest thing for a guest room ever.

I thought the staff was nice when we checked in and I liked the room - nice and big. The next day, I met the owner who is an over-the-top-super-host. He wants you to love it there. Worked for me.
