Diabetics at Village Inn

Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.

Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for Diabetics

Village Inn offers very few items edible for diabetics without any threat. You can avoid sandwiches and burgers at Village Inn and try the light breakfast items on the menu. You must also skip the shakes as well as other juices from the beverage menu. Almost all the dinner items on the menu are high in sodium except Grilled Tilapia and 6 oz. Top Sirloin & Toast. I'm hesitant to review chains, but the world needs to know that I had one of my top 10 breakfasts ever here. Maybe it was because I was hungover, but my Denver omelette was perfect and the hash browns were exactly what they should have been and THE TOAST OH MY GOD two delicious thick chewy pieces of buttered wheat. All future visits to Village Inns will be based almost entirely on their dope toast. But my piece of pie was almost almost almost still frozen. Watch that shit. Anyways, I've paid a lot more money for a lot worse breakfasts in my short time on this earth.

This is your typical run of the mill 3am drunk joint. Although I've never came for any of those it does host my platoon for breakfast whenever we don't feel like running in 5 degrees. The food is decent although a bit overpriced but the portions are good and leaves you walking out holding your chest. As with these types of places you expect a certain caliber of individuals to work here. And this establishment does not fail. I regularly am served my meal with the pungent and strong aroma of cigarettes left on the clothes of the servers from their consistent smoke breaks. Oh well, I'll be back.

We get our food to go for the most part rather than dinning in. The food is always correct, and hot. The front of house staff are great, friendly and helpful. Our favorite Village Inn in town.

I loathe to even give this place one star. We weren't greeted upon entering and waited 15 minutes to be seated, despite multiple tables being open. Once seated we waited 15 minutes for our server to come. The server acted annoyed with us. The food took 40 minutes and as the server delivered it my friend asked for a small bowl to put food in for her child and before she could finish asking for ketchup for the fries, syrup for her husbands pancakes, or another drink the server walked away and never came back. Eventually I had to wave another server down to ask for a box and pie. My friend also found an egg shell in her fries! Overall absolutely terrible service, food was over priced and not very good.

We were nervous from the looks of the outside but once walking in we were completely surprised! However, my food was not very good and our server was having a bad day or something. She seemed a bit impatient with us. I was trying to be friendly and polite and smile at her but she just wasn't haven't it. She was taking orders from the kids for chocolate milk and pop and us parents kept telling her no no don't listen to them! Just water! =D Anywho, some of my plate was cold and the other was luke warm. My side of gravy had formed a film on top of it and was completely bland. Needless to say, I don't think we will be returning for anything. ever. Maybe they should just stick with pies?

Since moving from Colorado and Nashville Tennessee Village Inn is been one of my most missed restaurants. During a quick trip to Colorado we had a chance to enjoy a wonderful breakfast in a Colorado Springs Village Inn. I had the build your own village and breakfast with all my favorites. They even made up my wife's favorite that's not even on the menu any longer (what service). At the end of our meal we even picked up a couple pies for Christmas. If you're looking for a great breakfast at outstanding value this is a place to go.

Food quality is ok at best, similar to what you might expect from Denny's. The service is awful, however the staff was friendly. My food was cold, drink refills were very slow, unknown spices spilled in fruit cup, many items forgotten. The manager didn't really seem to be bothered by the fact that we kept asking him for help with the things are waitress was messing up, no apologies were made. We will not be back to this place again.

No matter how many times my girlfriend and I go, which is starting to be a twice-a-week type thing, the food is always wonderful and the employees are always incredibly friendly! Five star, hands down.

Terrible service. As I entered the restaurant I was seated fairly quick, but on the way to my table a gentleman said to the hostess "We went ahead and seated ourselves because nobody was around. Those people over there did as well, they were waiting for over ten minutes before we got here." I did not take much notice of this because I did see a very large party and figured they were a little busy. After sitting down it was a good five minutes before our server asked us for drinks. The drinks did not take long, but after ordering it was a good 30 minutes before we got our food. During this time I noticed that a couple sitting next to us had a similar problem. When their food arrived I heard the lady complain that her food was not cooked well. The food was not bad, but it was nothing close to spectacular. The staff was friendly, but did not seem to be very good at what they were doing. Overall it was a very poor example of what a short order diner should be.

Our service was great, and everyone in the family thought the food tasted awesome. The menu had different things on it that i had never seen anywhere else. Everything was fairly priced. and the pie was amazing. I would definetly recommend Village Inn. Dont think i waited anymore than i have at any other restaurant.

Fair prices for decent food. My server was Nicole and she was excellent. Coffee was a little weak but the pancakes and omelette were pretty good. Good alternative to Denny's or other chain restaurants.
