I went at 11:00 on a Sunday, not the best time if you want to avoid the crowds but it was my boyfriends birthday and we like to sleep in some times. So we check in with an anticipated 20 minute wait - not bad. Its crowded, the waiting area here is practically non existent and unfortunately it was very cold outside. Since they don't have buzzers signifying when your table is ready you're forced to get friendly with a lot of people. Ugh. The host and person that sat us were both very friendly which I'm sure is a challenge during this time of day. We sat and were quickly greeted, brought drinks and had our orders taken. It took 25 minutes for our food to come out and they brought my boyfriend and I both the wrong kind of toast. We also asked for a side of ranch that never came. These types of things can be expected when you go out on a Sunday and we really wouldn't have minded if we hadn't seen our server chatting it up with the hostess so often during our meal. Very frustrating. The food tasted good. I got the Athena Scramble and my guy got a skillet. However, my meal wasn't hot, just warmed, also disappointing. We went here because it was close to home but next time we will probably drive the extra miles to a local breakfast place.

Went for breakfast, the food was very good. We ate outside on a very pleasant day. They had lost one of their umbrellas and so we didn't have one, we just arranged ourselves around the table to keep the morning sun out of our eyes. They offer a make-your-own Bloody Mary. They bring a glass with vodka in it and then you go to a "bar" with all sorts of things to put in the Bloody Mary. I'm not a big fan of this kind of thing. Any decent bartender can come up with a good-to-great Bloody Mary using ingredients that he/she is used to working with, whereas Joe Schmo is at the mercy of his skill and the ingredients presented. My award-winning secret ingredient, Rose's Lime Juice, was not present. I'd suggest bringing your own vodka and use your water glass and their ingredients to make a better drink. Of course you will probably be thrown out and/or go to jail for doing so.

I ate breakfast here this morning while getting my car worked on across the street at Drive-In Autosound (also a 5 star review for them!) and it was just a wonderful peaceful experience. The waitress (wish I caught her name) was extremely polite, very helpful, and just an amazing sweet lady. My order had a few customizations, but was brought out promptly and exactly as ordered. I was offered free substitutions when I declined the included toast. My juice, coffee, and water were all kept fresh the entire time. I spent about an hour and half there eating slowly, reading my email, and enjoying the outside view. I didn't feel one bit rushed. Restroom was clean as a whistle, too! After I left, I sent my wife a text reading, "We have a new breakfast place!" and I can't wait to share it with her. TOP NOTCH breakfast joint!

  • Bill M.

Disappointing. The eggs Benedict does not have much flavor at all. I make these all the time at home using Trader Joe's hollandaise sauce. The Egg and I does not compare at all. Overpriced and under flavored. I also ordered a bacon cheeseburger plain for my son. When I brought our "to go" order home I also found they gave us a regular cheeseburger with everything on it, no bacon at all but I paid for it.

  • Thanh N.

Cooks are horrible. Made a simple order to go nothing complex at all. They bring out an order missing 3 things that come with the meal. I bring back 2 times to get fixed. They continue to mess up. I ask for refund. And they keep asking questions on why? Don't ask why just refund and let me leave. Poor service poor communication poor cooks. Seems as if they hire anybody off the streets to do there cooking. Bunch of fuck ups. No wonder they change management every other week. When you buy extra items for your meal to-go make sure you get everything. They will find a way to jew you out of anything you pay extra for.

  • Rob T.

Pros-The blueberry pancake was HUGE. Food was fresh and hot. Cons-server never made eye contact the whole time, she seemed more occupied with guests coming in,not taking care of the ones seated. Waited for the check after having to ask for it. Then waited to check out. Did notice 2 employees smoking out back while we looked for someone to bring our check.

  • Kimberly L.

Place gets super busy for Sunday brunch!

    (4)
  • Kirk K.

Excellent local breakfast spot. The food is well priced the quality is on par. When the restaurant is slightly busy the service lacked the food came out in a reasonable amount of time A good sized menu with plenty of offerings to please any craving

  • Monique B.

I stopped by hoping for a short wait to get a sandwich before rushing back to work, and unfortunately ended up waiting 35 minutes for a sandwich and a drink. They did, however, redeem themselves with the best turkey sandwich I have had in a long time. A bit on the pricey side ($14.00 for the sandwich and an iced tea), but the food was really tasty.

    (3)
  • Lea T.

The food here is tasty; I especially like that they make their own corn beef hash. I got my food cold the first time I went here but the free coffee for checking in at Yelp and the fact that they leave a coffee canister for the table is very much appreciated.

    (4)
  • Brent H.

We visited Co Springs over Father's Day weekend and loved this place! Our kids who live here will be back! Our group had corn beef hash, cinnamon apple pancakes, the big flapper! Everything was excellent! The service was also very good! Expect to wait on the weekends, which is a compliment in itself.

    (5)
  • Eric S.

They have good food, though I don't think it's anything worth writing home about...we've been here a handful of times and the service is always slowwwww....and I'm from the south, so that says a lot

    (3)
  • Andrew M.

If you love breakfast food, this is the place to go! Helpings were most than enough, ambiance was relaxing and inviting, hostess/servers were very polite and hospitable. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash w/ Eggs and it didn't let me down!

    (4)
  • Brandy M.

Love the French toast here. While this location seems smaller than the other I have been too, the food is still great!

    (5)
  • Kathy K.

Love this place! We usually get the same server, he treats us like friends. Food is always awesome! Coffee even better. If you are coming in the morning try to be there before 9, then it gets a little busy.

    (5)
  • Ken C.

Some of the best food around! My wife loves the Parisian Benedict and I always have the French toast with eggs over easy. The service is top notch. One of our favorite places to eat.

    (5)
  • Robert S.

I have been going there for many years and the last two times under this new manager have been pathetic. The last meal was cold and had to send it back. He brought back out and it was still cold. He warmed it back up and then served it. They should have re-cooked it for the prices they charge. Today I was there was only 4 people in the restaurant at 7:15 am. I ordered sunny side up eggs and they came back hard. I re-ordered and they brought half my breakfast back and I had to wait for the eggs. Really? The manager never came back to see what had happened. He looked at me while I was leaving and I will never return.

    (1)
  • Jay W.

I had an omelette and was extremely satisfied in both the flavor and the portion size. My kids loved the peppermint hot chocolate and my wife and I both kept talking about the place for months. We will definitely be going back.

    (4)
  • M T.

This place is two steps under the village inn. I'd make my own breakfast before I went back.

    (2)
  • Zebulon P.

This may be a chain, but the food tastes like its homemade. My favorites are the Benedicts. The Parisian in particular stands out among them. The atmosphere is that of a typical breakfast diner but the service is great. Ashaley and Christina are very friendly and helpful. I'm giving five stars because of those two.

    (5)
  • Monica L.

So far this is my favorite place to eat. It's a chain restaurant, but it doesn't taste like a chain restaurant. The dishes I've had hasvea wonderful medley of flavors included in every bite. My bf and I had a wonderful, cheerful waitress (thin, brunette Caucasian chick) who gave us excellent service. I chose the Hiker's Benedict and my boyfriend tried the Parisian Benedict. We love eggs Benedict and for the price and he atmosphere it was great! In addition, she suggested other great menu items. We felt welcome and we enjoyed every bite of our meal. We are definitely coming here again!

    (5)
  • Jennifer F.

Very good breakfast food. Sometimes it's a long wait but it's worth it. I love the orange juice but wish it was a little less pricey. The staff is very friendly. Food is well prepared. I like that they have healthy options available. Kids menu has good variety too. And for lunch, their chicken salad sandwich is excellent.

    (4)
  • Pat M.

Tasty, clean, high-end. sit-down and have your order taken american restaurant. Never had a bad meal here. But nothing special or amazing to call out on these guys. I do recommend them, unless you want southwestern, or a breakfast burrito. In which case, go elsewhere.

    (4)
  • Missy B.

Ok, I love breakfast and I am always willing to try a new breakfast place so this place definitely did not dissapoint. It is located in a weird little shopping center so when you walk in to the home-y, charming restaurant atmosphere, it is quite unexpected. When my husband and I ordered coffee we were informed that they have 5 different options and we were pleasantly suprised. We opted for the hazelnut and it was delicious! Note: when you check in here you get a free beverage! We used it and it worked out great! I ordered the Denver scramble with green chili and bacon and OMG... so good! The portions were just right and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I noticed some other reviews stated that the service was bad, but ours was really good. Although, we did go at around noon when we had finally crawled out of bed!! My husband and I will definitely be back to this place!

    (5)
  • Peggy R.

Delicious food. Our waiter, AJ, was knowledgeable and extremely nice. Clean. Happy about everything!

    (5)
  • Jody R.

Great first experience. Convenient to our hotel. Our server Patti was great and very attentive. I am not an egg fan so had the loaded ranch potatoes with green chili, bacon, cheese and sour cream. Green chili was very mild and entire dish was filling and tasty. Husband had corned beef and eggs and poured a bit of green chili over the top. Very well seasoned and tasty. Didn't love the flavored ice tea, but iced coffee was refreshing and tried a sunrise mixed fruit beverage that was good. Lots of choices for egg lovers though large portions on some food and in the $9 range which may be high for some folks.

  • Judy G.

We ate here 3 times on a 6 day trip. Portions are big so small appetites could share a meal. Ordered the cinnamon apple pancake and the pancake covered a large dinner plate. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest place for breakfast but worth it for portion size & variety on the menu.

    (5)
  • Chuck R.

We have a group of nine with mostly kids. We were told it would be 10-15 mins wait. They failed to tell us there were 3 other large parties in front of us. We went back and asked several times when they thought we would seat. They kept saying soon. After 45 mins waiting with very small kids we left because they still said oh soon... No care for the fact that they lied on wait time. If we would have just been told there were a bunch in front of us we would have just not waited. All the parties came after us and were all adults so the bills would be higher. I fully believe that they sat those parties before us just cause we were going to be a smaller bill because of the kids orders. Will never go back!!

    (1)
  • Elianny S.

Great breakfast place! We went there on a Tuesday so it wasn't packed at all. Our server was AJ and he was great. The portions here are pretty big, especially the amount of toast that comes with each order. I had an omelet and it was really cheesy and delicious. They also give you take out cups for your coffee once you're done.

    (4)
  • E B.

There is definitely a wait on Sunday mornings. And since both the register and podium to leave your name are in the same area, the people waiting for tables and waiting to pay create a very crowded area. I had the spinach and bacon omelet with hollandaise sauce. It was very good and the bacon had a nice flavor. The potatoes that came with the meal were -meh. They looked just like what I can get in the frozen food aisle in the bag. There was no seasoning on them and not a whole lot of them either. Definitely not memorable. I used the free beverage discount on Yelp during checkout. It was appreciated since tea, coffee, etc was $2.49!

    (3)
  • Marissa G.

Got my Chorizo and Eggs and they did not disappoint! Service was a little slow, but since we were not in a hurry I was fine with it.

    (4)
  • Colleen J.

Great little breakfast spot that brings you an entire pot of coffee when you order a cup and I love it. They have excellent pancakes (wheat ones, way better than you ever expect) and low prices. Our waitress was so kind and helpful when we had questions about the menu. This is definitely one of our new go-to spots!

    (4)
  • Josie O.

I came around 8 in the morning and the waitresses were working hard. The service was quick and friendly. I loved that I got my own coffee and water carafes at the table. The Belgian waffles with strawberries, banana and toasted sweet pecans was DELICIOUS! They were arguably the best Belgian waffles I've had in a very long time. There was just enough crispiness on the outside, and the inside was perfectly moist and melted in my mouth. The fruit was fresh and the whipped cream was perfectly fluffy. The eggs were OK (nothing special for scrambled eggs) and the bacon was crispy. The waitress was attentive and made sure I got everything I needed and that the good was good. I will definitely be going back again and again. If you love the Original House of Pancakes (I did but there's none in Colorado Springs), this is an even better option!

    (5)
  • Madison G.

The coffee was actually really, really good! Lots of options. I was going to give a 4 since their hot chocolate is made with water and not milk but they asked us if we wanted to go cups for the coffee, so I bumped it back up to a 5! I had the avocado chicken omelet and my friend had the Mexican skillet...highly recommend both! Great for the price.

    (5)
  • Jason S.

Horrible food, everything was bland that I tried. Tried different locations, none were better then IHOP. This seems like more of a business meeting place then a family restaurant.

Food was just so-so for me. One or two steps above Denny's and IHOP (maybe I ordered the wrong thing?), but the excellent service more than made up for it. Everyone was incredibly polite, and our waitress Kat even suggested we get a refill on our drinks to take with us in to-go cups. I would definitely go back just for the service, and I'll order something other than the Vera Cruz omelette.

Place gets super busy for Sunday brunch!

Got my Chorizo and Eggs and they did not disappoint! Service was a little slow, but since we were not in a hurry I was fine with it.
