As with the other reviews except the idiot flight attendant, I would give this more stars if I could. What a pleasure. Great breakfast, incredible room and the hosts are out of the world. Leo is 85 years young, sharp as a tack and full of down home wisdom. His funny stories after breakfast were very entertaining. Joyce is very personable as well and makes you feel like it is your home while you stay there. If at all possible, get the mountain view room. Hugh bathroom and soaking tub, great little balcony to end your day on with a glass of wine kept cool in their refrigerator and a deer that lives in the lot next door that you can see from your window. Great food, great company reasonable price, what more could you ask for.

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. The people who own it are lovely! They are kind, hospitable, and they make you feel like family. The rooms are completely enchanting! Each one has a different theme, and they are decorated beautifully. The house itself is perfect--full of old wood furnishings, and beautiful decorations. Breakfast each morning is absolutely fabulous!!! The location is perfect. It's easy to get to the local attractions, and it's nestled right in Old Colorado City, which holds many adorable shops, and some fantastic restaurants. I never wanted to leave! If you are looking for a place to stay that will take your vacation from great to over-the-top perfect, then this is it!

I would give 100 stars if I could! Had a great stay at Spurs and Lace while I was visiting Colorado Springs this winter. Leo and Joyce are a pleasure to talk with and are very accommodating. They allowed me to store food items and provide access to all the appliances I could ask for. This is a great place if you are visiting without a car as the grocery is only a 10 minute walk. Make sure to check out their website to see the different themed rooms available.

If we could give this place 11 stars, we would! We stayed there last weekend and we cannot tell you how much we loved being there. When you stay at a hotel, it's nice... but it's not the same as being at home. Not only did Leo and Joyce make us feel comfortable, they made us feel like family. Some people have mentioned that they weren't happy because it wasn't fancy. Well, when we decided to do a B&B... we wanted it to feel like we were at home. (*But it turned out that it was WAAAY better than home) ;) Leo and Joyce are some of the most SPECTACULAR host/hostesses that you can imagine. At their breakfast time, not only does Joyce fill you full of delicious food, Leo tells some fantastic stories. We had such an amazing time that we were missing them just a few hours after we left their home. If you want/need a place to stay in CO Springs, we cannot recommend this place enough! If you stay with these two... I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Spurs N Lace for two nights. Joyce and Leo made our stay so nice. We really enjoyed the breakfast that Joyce made and the time we were able to spend just talking with Joyce, Leo and the other guests. It felt like we were a big family eating breakfast together. Due to our travel plans we were not able to stay for breakfast on the second day, and we were disappointed to miss out on it. The house and rooms have a lot of character. If you are expecting an experience like what you would get at a hotel, then this is not for you. However, if you are open to meeting two wonderful hosts and having some deep and inspiring conversations, then you should definitely stay at Spurs N Lace. If we find ourselves in Colorado Springs again, we will definitely be staying at Spurs N Lace.

Leo and Joyce are wonderful people. Each room has its own theme and the accommodations are cozy and comfortable. Joyce makes individualized breakfasts every morning and really puts thought in her cooking. We had baked grits and oatmeal, which she modified for our dietary needs. This beats a motel or hotel any day.
