Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

Awesome food. The spicy pork is amazing. Every time we go in, it's exactly the same and never disappoints.

Drove into a desolate strip mall thinking I was in a Resident Evil Movies with Zombies ready to pop out as soon as you step out. But after a right and a left you'll see this hidden gem neatly tucked in the corner. Got out, LOCKED the car and strolled right into the little restaurant. Great family atmosphere. Mom was teaching a little girl to do math. Step in front of the counter, ordered the spicy pork with rice and salad (tempted to do plantains but resisted, watching my figure). THE SPICY PORK was so wonderfully favored and tender and delicious, just the thought of it is making me drool, goes perfect with my ginger beer. I was at Craftwood inn the night before and I enjoyed my Jamaican Spicy pork as much as the Game meal trio, that said A LOT!!!

I've been here several times, tried the lamb, the chicken and the oxtail stew. Had the jamaican rice and beans, plantains, cabbage - EVERYTHING was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. be sure to call in things that take time to prepare, they have these clearly marked on their menu (except for Johnny Cakes, which take about 10 minutes too)

Ambiance: Rather small restaurant, maybe four tables inside and two outside. Cheery vibe, brightly decorated. Order at counter, and they will bring food out to you. While I was there, the owner's family was having some sort of rather loud disagreement over something that lasted throughout my visit. Service: Gentleman (who I assume is also the owner) took my order and prepared my food. Friendly. Food: I ordered something I was already familiar with, which was the jerk chicken. I was asked if I wanted it mild or spicy, and I went with the spicy. The chicken itself was well spiced and extremely tender, falling right off the bone. The sauce I thought was a little too strong, as it over-powered the subtle taste of the chicken at times. The dish was accompanied with a generous portion of Jamaican rice, which included small dark beans and bits of smoked shredded pork. I could have made a meal on that alone. Also, had a choice of cabbage or fried plantains - went with the plantains, that were good, though unspectacular. To drink, went with an imported Coconut Water drink from a can, that I really enjoyed. I also ordered the Johnny Cakes, which took about 20 minutes to prepare, as they are made from scratch. They were ready just as I had finished my meal, so they made a nice dessert. Overall, I have limited exposure to Jamaican cooking up to this point, having only sampled the food from street vendors in Ocho Rios a few times during port stops on a cruise. I enjoyed this place, and am looking forward to returning and being a little more adventurous -- thinking of trying the goat next time.

This place is fantastic. Sort of hard to find but it is sooo worth finding. The Jamaican jerk chicken is great. Give the oxtail a try as well. You won't be sorry.

I consider myself an up and coming "Foodie", and Chef wannabe, one of the Birthday gifts my parents gave me this year is a "World Food Tour" staying right here and never leaving in my home town of Colorado Springs. Jamaican Flavor was the next stop on my Birthday World Food Tour. A very small place with only about 6 or 7 tables, but great Jamaican atmosphere with fast, friendly, awesome customer service. I ordered the Ox Tail with Jamaican Rice and Cabbage, my Father ordered Curried Goat with Plantain and Jamaican Rice and we shared a side order of the Jamaican Jerk Pork. We each ate half our own order then swapped so we could sample a little of everything. All the food was out of this world! The Curry Goat was on point with rich deep flavor, and very tender. The Ox Tail was meaty, savory and beyond tender...OMG! The Jerked Pork was unbelievable; I have never experienced such spicy tender goodness. I have never been to Jamaica but, I have to think everything in Jamaican Flavor is 100% authentic and the real deal, the sodas (I ordered Pineapple and took a few extra home) are imported from Jamaica, the place settings, the Jamaican (and American) Flag flying proudly out front of the restaurant, and most importantly the Chef is a Jamaican transplant and a world class cook as far as I am concerned. On my tour of the world...via my stomach, I have been to over nine countries or regions so far and tasted varying "authentic" foods of the world, I have to say Jamaican Flavor is the best I have had hands down, it's fantastic. If you are looking for the real deal authentic Jamaican experience of comfort food, you have to try Jamaican Flavor, buy some Jerk Spice from their pantry, and spend a few minutes talking to the Chef, he is one cool guy.

I've been here twice and am already thinking about what I'm gonna order the next time I visit. On my first visit I had the fried wings, the Jamaican rice and beans, with the fried plantains. My heavens! DeLIshhUS! So very much food! I ate it all and finished if off with a nice strong ginger soda! Today I had the "Crab n Shrimp curry". It was pretty good. I wish there had been more crab in it, but its full of shrimp. My friend had the "Curry Chicken" ¡OMG! My first bite just about sent me through da roof! The meat was so tender it just fell off the bones! and then i sucked the bones! The gravy was smooth. creamy and perfectly seasoned. The rice and and fried cabbage were tasty too. We also ordered the Johnny cakes. They're a cook to order item and arrived at our table piping hot. They were flaky on the outside, and cakey and steamy on the inside. They do a lot of take out as well. And it's best to call ahead for the cooked to order items like the chicken patties, jonny cakes and fried chicken. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Those folks sure know their way around the kitchen! Oh yes I will be back!

The food taste great!!! The service was awesome. The cook came out to ask how we liked our food which was cool. The chicken curry taste just like how we make curry chicken in Samoa. This is an awesome place to eat at. The only thing that sucks is that it was hot in there, but the food was so worth sitting in the heat for.

  • Charles H.

Great food, one day I had the jerk chicken best I ever had!!! Then I had the Oz tail which was so savory. The Johnny cakes was sweet but not to sweet just right! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Both jerk chicken and ox tail came with cabbage and red beans and rice which were so good these folks really cook from the soul!!! Must try!!!

If your looking for authentic, Jamaican curried meat, stewed cabbage this is the spot! It's got the flavor and the love that most chain restaurants don't put into there food.

  • Arka C.

Tried the spicy jerk pork and goat curry - the pork was awesome and the goat pretty good too. Very quiet, detached location though. Other than that the only downside were small bone bits in the goat curry. The flavor though is killer!

A friend took me here for the first time and WOW... awesome stuff. The décor leaves a little to be desired but the food speaks for itself. My favorite is the Jerk Pork with rice and the cabbage mixture that is served with it (the plantains were very good as well!) You go in- the menu is on the upper wall as you walk in and order at the register. It's a mixture of waiter service and self service. They bring the food to you but don't really check-on you after that unless you need them- which is fine because most people are too busy stuffing their face to notice. Love this place- I just wish it wasn't so far from where I live!

Great food! I got the curried goat and it was awesome just how I remembered it in the Bahamas. Only reason it does not get 5 stars is for all the bones in the meal.

the jerk chicken, rice & peas, and cabbage...bomb meal on a budget . Definitely delicious....make it spicy with extra jerk sauce .....next time it's ox tails or curry chicken.....I'm drilling at the thought lol

Yum! I really like this place. I've only tried the jerk chicken (mild) and the curry chicken with rice and peas and fried plantains. Love the plantains! Everything is great! Check it out...

Was really craving the chicken but they were out, you should call ahead if looking for something specific. I ordered the goat and had to pick bones out of the meat with every bite. Small plate sizes also

You know you're in for a treat when you go to an ethnic restaurant and you see other people from that ethnicity eating there! you know what i mean, go to a Chinese restaurant, see Chinese people eating- that is always a good sign... and with that auspicious beginning, we arrive at this seemingly random restaurant, set in a strip mall, near a random bike place, a random pawn shop and the giant Victory outreach church complex a stone's throw away. This is not the friendliest looking area if you're a bit meek and prone to jump at loud noises. We are immediately greeted and handed menu's by the "waiter"/cashier person. He says sit wherever you want, and let me know if you have any questions, then returns to his friendly conversation with another customer (regular from what I can tell). There are 2 little kids, quietly playing at one of the tables (later determined to be the owner/proprietor's kids). It has a homey/local place type of vibe- how I'd imagine a typical small family owned restaurant to be like if you were in Jamaica proper. We ordered the jerk pork, jerk chicken and oxtail as well as an order of Johnny cakes (a dense fried dough ball, made when you order and served with honey). Everything came out quick and hot, delivered by the cook himself to our table. The food is AMAZING- you know you're eating Jamaican food after the first bite. The spices are spot on, nice and bright but not overwhelming on the heat (mainly on the back side of the throat), and you can take the meat and spices not just the heat. We had a friend with us who is a bit sensitive to spice and he didn't think it was overly spicy. My favorite dish was the ox tail- to me if you have the confidence to put ox tail on your menu, you'd better know how to cook it properly: nicely braised, tender and oh so good. My wife loved the jerk chicken and pork but I've always been partial to ox tail. They were out of plantains so we had the cabbage side and normally I don't care much for cabbage but here, it was very tasty. The other side, rice and beans (they call it rice and peas) was also very good, almost like Louisiana rice and beans but with a Jamaican kick. So to summarize: weird strip mall area, out of the way, simple decor, friendly staff but the people that run the place are genuine Jamaicans and can surely cook. We'll be visiting again, to try the whole snapper dish they're supposed to be famous for and everything else on the menu at least once. The place has been there for 5 years and I hope they are there for 5 more! also interesting last note- we didn't pay until we were done eating, kind of like a dim sum restaurant. And if you love the Johnny cakes you can call ahead and they will get that going in advance for you.

Off the beaten path, but well worth the search. Small, casual, friendly, and a lot of soul in the food. All the food is good but try the brown stew fish or escovitch fish - freakin amazing. May look a little pricey considering but portions are hearty and cooked with love ;)

A friend recommended this place to me yesterday and I had to try it. I'm glad I did. It is a small, out of the way, place but worth taking the time to find. It's right behind the walk-in medical clinic on the southwest corner of Academy and Hancock. I arrived right at 11AM when they opened. I was the only one there at that time. The person behind the counter was very helpful and explained the menu and specials to me. He did recommend calling ahead if you want one of their cooked to order entrées. I decided on the Jamaican Spicy Jerked Pork with Jamaican Rice and Fried Plantains to go. The food was ready in less than five minutes and everything was delicious. The pork was spicy but not overly so. It had just enough heat to make it interesting without overpowering the flavor. I've only been the one time but would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Okay so this place was soooo good. Its small with only about 5 or 6 tables so for most its probably good to get it to go. Either way the food and service is great. You wont regret it if you try this place out. I got the oxtail with cabbage...let me tell you the meat fell off the bone. Oh my goodness. My hubby had the curry goat, he loves goat but this had him wanting more the next day. My son..weird as ever had the jerk pork...he ate some of it but thought it was way too spicy that you couldnt even enjoy the taste of the meat, even still it was good. So not really a complaint on that cause everyone's spice tolerance level is different. The overall experience with the staff and the food was A+ okay and we loved it!

Was in Colorado Springs on vacation, and was glad I found this place online before my trip. Now I want to go back to Colorado Springs ASAP, just to go back to this place. Their goat curry and jerk chicken are AWESOME!!!! Small place, sort of hidden away. Reasonably priced, great service. Can't wait to get back to Colorado Springs so I can try some more of their dishes.

The food is AMAZING and made very fresh. The dining area is small and very hot, but I feel like I am in Jamaica for a while. Reasonably priced and worth the trip.

Very small and casual. A lot of fresh cooked food. I ordered the jerk chicken spicy...and yes it was spicy so watch it! I enjoyed the peas and rice and the cabbage was very good. The cuts of chicken were strange though...not a lot of meat...but a lot of bones. The fried chicken was OK. It was overcooked..the breading was thick and oiled from overcooking at a low temperature. The plantains were rubbery. The beef patties were good, spicy and crisp. The chicken patties were OK I did not really like thefilling....mushy and creamy...almost like cream of cchicken. The flavor was OK I just did not like the texture. Overall it was good. The prices are right. Make sure you call ahead if you want the cooked to order items. I did not know this...was told it would be 30 min...52 min later my order was ready.

The restaurant is a little bit difficult to find but is definitely worth it. For the price and flavor, it's definitely a new favorite restaurant I ordered plantains, johnny cakes, the jerk chicken with mild sauce, and Jamaican rice and beans. Everything was fantastic. The Jerk Chicken was perfectly spiced and falls off the bone. The rice was fantastic and I got a lot more than what I expected. Plantains? Delicious. Great texture and the edges were caramelized perfectly. Johnny cakes were some of the best I've ever had but they're made to order so expect a ten minute wait... well worth it. Staff was super friendly and offered to walk me through the menu and regulars sit in the shop to enjoy. If I had time, I would have eaten in house, but I plan to the next go.

Feel bad being the low rating of the group, but don't let my 3-star review scare you away. It isn't a bad place, I have just had better food at other places in my travels. The staff was very friendly and great. Location is hard to find, it is straight across Hancock from King's Grocery and Panda Express. Don't listen to your GPS once you get to the corner of Academy and Hancock unless you like driving in circles. I had the curry goat dinner. It was ok. The goat had good flavor, but a lot of bone pieces. I don't mind bones but mine had many broken fragments that got annoying to bite in to. The Jamaican rice was ok, I've had better. The plantains were the best. If I had a plate of them I would have eaten every one. I would eat here again, maybe try the chicken next time. Other menu dinners include: Jerk Chicken, Fried Chicken, Curry Chicken, Steamed Fish, Jerk Pork, Oxtail, Brown Stew Chicken, Brown Stew Fish. Give this place a try and see for yourself.

Awesome food, just make sure to call ahead of time in order to make sure they have what you want. When i was there it seemed they were short on some things, however, they helped us choose something that was equally good. I will be going back, and would recommend it to anyone.

Great plantains! Eating here is like eating in Jamaica! Great flavor, natural Jamaican herbs, spices and ingredients -authentic! Slow cooked chicken on the bone, great beans and rice. Can't wait to come back and try the Jerk chicken!

  • Eric L.

Definitely out of the ordinary for colorado springs! Very good experience. The couple running the place are friendly and helpful. I had cabbage, rice and curry chicken. The chicken was soft and tender, but maybe a little salty. The cabbage was really good, and I don't usually like cabbage. I also had a wonderful imported Ginger beer to drink and it had a strong ginger flavor and it didn't contain hfc syrup. Call ahead if you have special requests; they were accommodating for my veggie friend and suggested to let them know ahead of time to try even more vegetarian items.

Visiting the springs for school, and decided to check this place after reading reviews and jonesing for for good Caribbean food. After reading reviews here, I checked it out and was not disappointed. The service was good, although a small place as previously posted. Went on a Saturday, then went again the following Tuesday. Good eats.

I love their rice and beans, plantains and curry goat. Their Jamaican Beef Patties are made to order and are making me drool just thinking about them as I write this review. You can get it spicy or mild. I may have to go there tomorrow to get my Jamaican fix. The owner is super friendly too. I'm all about supporting good food at good prices with authentic flavors.

Jamaican Flavor is incredible! It is a straightforward, homey establishment tucked into a nondescript parking lot. My party had the oxtail with white rice, and the spicy jerk pork with Jamaican rice and beans. Both dishes also came with tasty fried plantains. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, but I LOVED my pork dish. The pork was incredibly tender and moist, and the meat had depth and soul. The food here is rustic, soulful, and incredibly flavorful. We also had one each of the chicken and beef patties. The beef patty was ok, but the chicken patty was especially delicious; a medley of spices really make everything here pop. This restaurant is neither stuffy nor elegant, but it is authentic. The owner cooks with heart, and a meal here always leaves me with a genuine, satisfied smile.

Great food, very friendly family atmosphere. Proprietor is friendly, hospitable, eager to make sure guests enjoy their meal. It was sort of like being invited into someone's home for a meal. Highly recommend Jamaican Flavor for very casual dining.

Get here if you can. I've never had Jamaican before, but this place is legit for my tastebuds. I got the Curry Goat which was excellent. Goat always has a ton of bones, so be aware of that. Beyond that, I've only been to a KC Indian restaurant that did goat justice. This place is the next. Plantains were tasty as well as the Johnny Cakes. The rice makes a great medium to sop up the leftover sauce. All of it was tasty. Get it spicy. I had a conversation with the cook. He was an energetic man and passionate about his food. Good stuff.

Driving down South Academy and didn't realize I had just passed the place, I whipped my car around as fast as I could after hearing about Jamaican Flavor. Small little place with good, loud reggae music on repeat and as much island flare as a place could have in Colorado. Staff was welcoming and wait was a little more than you'd expect, but most dishes are made to order. Oxtail stew with beans, rice, and plantains. Yum.

Small place that can be easily missed but thanks to my GPS I found it. Establishment is clean and staff is polite. I ordered the Oxtail Lunch Special. This came with rice and peas, cabbage, oxtail and canned soda (don't care for that but they had an assortment to choose from). I ordered a side of plaintains and am glad I did because the portions for the meal were at best fit for a 10yr old. My bf is Jamaican so I was craving island food and was told to try this place. Rice and peas were good and soft without crunch (preferred!) the cabbage with shredded carrots was decent. The oxtail were tender but the entire meal left much to be desired in terms of flavor. No major spice or salt as an after taste so it was pretty disappointing. The highlight for me were the plaintains. Oddly enough, I added this to the order and received about 8-9 which was the largest portion of the meal. Not sure if it's because I ordered it for pickup but the taste and flavor fell significantly short. Maybe another menu item and sitting in for the meal will change my opinion.

Every time I come through Colorado this is one of my favorite places to visit. Authentic Jamaican food and at a great price. The staff are very friendly and are quick to get your food out. 5 stars for this place.

My favorite meal is the ox tail with plantains. I usually order to go and by the time I eat it, it's still delicious. It's very feeling and I recommend getting it if you like spicy food

This was one of the most memorable and delicious meals I have ever had. I was exploring Colorado Springs, very hungry and on my way to Garden of the Gods. I did a quick Yelp search from where I was, and Jamaican Flavor came up, so I decided to give it a try. I plugged it into my Google maps and headed to my destination. My navigator did not do a very good job, and I almost gave up, but I am so glad I didn't. The place is tucked in a weird spot that is not visible from the road, but well worth the extra searching. I arrived in the afternoon on a Saturday. There were a few other customers inside, but it was not too packed. The inside was very small, but did have a few tables. I asked the man at the register what he suggests, and he recommended the Curry Chicken after I said I enjoyed spicy things. While I waited, he was busy at several cooking stations with pans frying plantains and other delicious-looking things. The other cooks in the back seemed friendly and enjoying their jobs. I felt like I was visiting a good friend's home, and they were cooking me dinner. The man at the front was one of the most authentic and good-natured people I ever met. And the food. One of the best things I ever ate. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The rice was probably the most perfectly spiced rice I ever had. Definitely one of the best things I ever ate, and a meal I will not forget.

It can be a hard to find little restaurant but it's well worth the effort. It's in a small strip mall. Don't let the small size fool you, this is the real deal. Authentic Jamaican food, friendly staff, and the smells and flavors are out of this world. This is my second time here. The first time I got the oxtail and this time I opted for the jerk chicken. Tons of flavor, Jamaican rice and also plantains. A big meal for around $10. Well worth it. Jerk chicken was rich in flavor and so tender that it peeled off the bone with ease. They know how to make good food here. I drove all the way down here from north Denver so if that doesn't tell you something then I don't know what will. Almost a 1 1/2 hour drive for Jamaican food? You bet!! Go now!

Back in C-springs with one of my Island road dogs, we found this little spot ONLY by calling. It wasn't that hard really but neither of us had been in the springs since... college. But a fritter craving is a fritter craving... Anyway, the real cool thing about this place (or just about any jamaican spot worth revisiting) is the people. Upon first greet you can tell they were down and we chopped it up about the springs "then and now" before even ordering. For me, escovitch snapper (on kingfish) is always a test of authenticity. The fact that it also came with okra added another thumbs up in my book. The rice and peas were standard but also pretty good. My island roadee had the ackee and cod fish... which he said were pretty solid, but immediately started counting other places where it had been superior. I gave this place another big up for having that old school kola champaign and homemade sorrel. That brings back memories and I'm not even an island kid. Solid spot... especially considering this is Colorado Springs. 3.75, with the round up for personal touches.

Great hidden jewel tucked away next to an Ace Loans pawnshop. Look for the giant JESUS sign. It's in that shopping center (tricky to find). Food was really great! I had curry goat. Def recommend if you feel like some ethnic or exotic fare. Friendly staff too!

Love this place! I'm going to mention one thing up front that may appear negative (though it isn't), but I want people who are skimming through the reviews to know this. I ordered the Chicken Curry lunch special ($6), while Sweetie ordered a regular menu item, the Spicy Jerk Pork ($9). The lunch special quantity was tiny compared to the regular item. Sweetie received literally about 6 times the amount of meat that I did. And he received 2 times the rice and beans. Why do I mention this?? Order the regular items, not the lunch specials!!!!!!!! The meat/poultry is so freakin' good that you will end up being cranky (as I was) that you didn't get more. I actually walked out still hungry. After taking the chicken off the bone, there was only about 1/4 cup of it. The food here is beautifully and freshly made. The curry chicken was both delicious and tender, falling off the bone. The jerk pork was fantastic. The choice of sides, cabbage or fried plantains, were both excellent. Especially the plantains- thin strips of ripe (sweet) plantain cut lengthwise and pan-seared. So good! And the sweetness beautifully complemented the spicy, rich meat. The rice and peas, on the other hand, were average. Fine, but nothing special. Can't say enough good things about the quality of nearly all the food. As for cleanliness, we were impressed. The entire little kitchen is visible from the counter where orders are taken, and that kitchen appeared nicely clean. The table area was also clean- floor, tables, everything. The place even has cute homemade quilted place mats, covered in plastic. The service wasn't friendly, but it wasn't unfriendly. The young woman behind the counter never cracked a smile. She was strictly business, nothing more. But she was working her tail off. Only one other person was working in the kitchen, and I'm not sure how they both managed to handle everything, but they did. One caveat. If you don't like the military, then don't go to this place. While we were there, 90% of the other people who came in were enlisted Army personnel. Sweetie and I appreciate our men and women in uniform, however, and were happy to observe them enjoying such tasty food.

This place 10x better than spice island grill! I enjoyed the curry chicken and my husband loved the jerk chicken! I'm definitely going back! The outside appearance isnt the best but the food will definitely have you going back

The food is good but the process are high for the amount you receive. Also I tried the curry goat. Every bite had pieces of bone. 3-6 in a meal is normal (grew up with Jamaicans) however in every bite. Is unacceptable

Staff is rude and inattentive, we had to sip on one bottle of malt for 1 1/2 hours, because no staff ever came over to check on how we liked the food or if we needed anything else or if anything was wrong. I had the jerk chicken (wet) with rock hard plantains and under seasoned hard rice and it was the worst food I ever had (and I have had plenty of jerk chicken)! Bones all over my plate, a pile of mushy and fatty cartlidged chicken pieces, absolutely disgusting!! I didn't eat any of my food once I encountered the first piece of crushed, spikey chicken leg bone. I just drank my malt and once I realized that the staff won't ever check on us, I went and refilled my plastic cup with tap water so I had something to put in my stomach. I won't ever visit that place again and I wouldn't recommend this "Jamaican Restaurant" unless you like mushy, overcooked and cartlidged chicken jerk.

Small place right behind the ACE pawn shop. Great food though. I had the jerk chicken w/ rice and peas. Very, very good. They also have a selection of jamaican sodas and drinks to add to the authenticity. Decent selection of menu items too; and they all looked good. Will certainly be back to try the other menu items.

This legit hole in the wall spot only got better as soon as we stepped in. We were greeted by a Jamaican with his award winning smile. He took our order, the Spicy Chicken Jerk with Plantains (which I definitely recommend) and never failed to check up on us throughout our meal.. Potato pudding was suggested to be served warm and we ordered some Johnny Cakes as well--it was okay: The experience and meal altogether made me a fan---although I'm pretty sure it's not for everyone.

What can I say about this place that hasn't been said already. Now as for the location it is hidden and is pretty much a hole in the wall type of restaurant. Family own business but what they lack in presentation of a beautiful venue they make up with the OUTSTANDING food. I was craving Jamican Beef patties and yelped directed me to this place. The patties were on point. Ordered Ginger Beer and a spicy cabbage dish. So so good. I recommend this place big time. If you're getting the food to go call ahead it'll take some time

One of the best places for jamaican food in the springs! My fave dish is the curried chicken and and goat....you also cant try a dish without the pineapple soda. This is like a moms and pops shop so expect the good old fashioned homecooking. Limited seating so dont expect to dine in, better for take out.

I loved this place. It's a hole in the wall type kitchen with a DJ playing Reggae outside the front door - so it's not for everyone. But for us the food and experience was 5- Stars. We have the jerk chicken - it was excellent. It's a "wet" jerk sauce as opposed to the usual dry jerk (for the authentic police) but it was delicious. There are 10 or so main dishes on the menu but you need to call ahead and pre-order otherwise you'll get the meal of the day. We also really appreciated the personal service and attention from the owner. He went so far as to share a speciality dish (bread fruit) from his own meal just to let us taste some real authentic Jamaican food. It sure beat the heck out of the usual chain restaurants in the Springs.

Love the oxtail which is my favorite also the jerk chicken, and goat, cabbage, rice and peas and all the other sides definitely a filling lunch choice. I'm a hard grader and Jamaican Flavor is a home cooked meal to the island folks. I dig it during lunch time. The restaurant itself is in a little hidden spot. Which is something I like because it can be a little secret to the real fans. Overall nice spot in a whole. Good folks and hospitality is nice as well the owner is cool.

My sister and nieces came to this place last and recommended it to me. It was my first time going there. The service was terrible. The guy at the counter barely listened to my order as I gave it. I ordered the Oxtail lunch special which was $8.50. I told him I did not want rice and wanted the steamed cabbage instead, it was also supposed to come with plaintains. He served the Oxtails with rice, and charged me extra for plantains that were not sweet and for the cabbage. Total cost came to $14.50 way too much! Also he was not very friendly, did not crack a welcoming smile the whole time I was there. I tried to ask how long they had been in business since I had never heard of them and he barely answered my question with nine years. The Oxtails were also very small and did not have much meat, mostly bones. The menu listed a free can of soda with the meal which I did not get and he did not offer. All in all I was not that impressed with the service or the meal. The oxtails were greasy, and he did not do my order correctly. I doubt if I will return.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise!! Went in for lunch, greeting was very friendly and staff super helpful. The best part of course was the food. I had the Jerk Chicken(wet style), beans and rice with plantains. All top notch and addictive. Would highly recommend!

This place is a wonderful, rare find. I wish I lived closer! We were driving back from visiting friends and looking for something that was at tasty and not too far from the freeway (I25). I found this restaurant on yelp, it has great reviews and it's rare to find a great Jamaican jerk chicken restaurant (or any Jamaican restaurant for that matter). We had the Jamaican jerk chicken, plantains, some kind of pork, rice and beans, and Johnny cakes. They also have fish stew you have to call ahead for that looked amazing. It was awesome!!! I like really flavorful spicy food, and have had great Jamaican jerk chicken in the Caribbean. I wish this restaurant was closer to where I live, I would go on a regular basis. The food is amazing and it's the kind of place that locals know about-The only downside is that if you don't know it's there it's really hard to find. We had a heck of a time trying to find it. it's tucked on the front side of the parking lot, it's hard to see the sign and it's a little dark. On the bright side when we called them they were really helpful giving us directions to find it. That is the only reason I'm not giving five stars. The food and service is easily five stars. The people who run it and make the food really sweet and their accents were lovely. Also as a sidenote we were using yelp to find it, so I would say shame on yelp for not doing a better job with their accuracy. Directions: go West(or left on your map). On Hancock, and take a left into the large parking lot in the corner and drive to the front of the parking lot facing Academy. If you're looking at Academy and Hancock is on your left it's in the top left corner the parking lot in a little group of stores in a small building. The front of the restaurant faces Hancock.
